Rolled 10Last time in Mutant Hivemind quest the Swamp is crawling with huge zombies hordes, the monsters are acting up, enemy bandits are preparing for war, Super Mutant Mobile Base presence is increasing, and the ghouls are about to unleash a nasty surprise. Meanwhile back at base Richard disappeared and then reappeared created some monstrous hops which led a to helped led to a series of unfortunate incidents at both the farms, biofuel refinery, and brewery. Meanwhile we have detected 3 enemy bandit heroes.Algeraz the War Chieftain of the Wastes.Mawdra the Warlord. Mojan the Raiding Headhunter.

Is alexis still away? Also questions left over from last thread.>EDE, do the bandits have population growth?>what is Bandit society like?Do they have wives and families? Or is growth via recruitment?>Specifically our bandits>does our disc of the bases show any bases hitherto unknown and/or unoccupied (like Burke's base was)?>The Umbra corp extraction, what was it like? What did the team look like?>Yes, were they in advanced power armor? What vehicles did they come in? etc.
Rolled 13Since we're not in a position to attack, and without alexis not in an inclination to do too much exploring, I suggest we work on our sciences.I'd like to do some monster research in the future once we're at liberty to pursue it.>Basic 1Have Richard design a large monster containment facility in his laboroatory and saftey protocols. With saftey precautions in mind. This time I'd like him to actually be able to research away from location and actually be able to deal with one breaking loose.>Basic 2Have Clora research a way to grant her fertility bonus, so we can create a minor lovenest in new locations (such as Burks Bunker). Perhaps some type of fleshbeast woman with a mini-aura? Or a serum or chemical or such that can be pumped into the air.>Basic 3Have Torgue research exploding bullet. . bulllets! A big bullet that explode into more bullets that explode.>BanditHave Luna go around to the other bandit camps to sell some samples of Memor Mojo. See if anyon'es interested in buying supplies>MilitaryCountinue to scout for any possible tunnel locations we might have missed in our immediate swamp, as well as getting hedgeway into scouting the 4/5's of our swamp we haven't discovered.>Mad Science!Have Richard try to develop the "limb fish". A fish that can bite off the severed stump of somebody's arm and mold into a perfectly good one. Or better yet, somebody needs an organ transplant in the battle, molds into a perfectly working substitute.
Rolled 29>>27569937A roll for mad science
Rolled 95>>27569734wanna know these too>>27569937>>27569962science is good. Could've had a better roll tho
Rolled 20>>27569734Alexis returned and stated she shut down some of the tunnels even discovered many secret tunnels and even new freshly made ones. She makes it clear its unlikely we could find them all. Much less an actual fraction.Populations have several ways to increase pop.Forceful recruiting(take people away during their raids) common means for all particularly to raiders. Volunteer(usually outcasts or criminals) Just show up and hope. Breeders(children are raised as whatever) only common among the most well established factions. Slaves(buy them or take them sometimes make fine recruits)rogue elements(sometimes a portion of a faction goes rogue)Bandit society varies you got all manner of groups. Simply put they are made up of whoever everyone else can't stand. Or their society depends on preying on everyone else sometimes even each other. Wives and families is most unusual among the majority of bandits. They vast majority of them usually recruit by the above options. Our own bandits rely upon above options. Most common being forceful recruiting and volunteery. Negative just shows the basic set up.Which is 5 bases on the surface 4 of which in the corners forming a square. The fifth base in the center. Below the those five bases under ground same position. Followed by yet another five below those. the very center of the cube is the facility that specializes in research. the surrounding bases are for security and lesser purposes. The base in the center up top is the only way of two into the research facility. The second route is below the research facility in a base connected to series of underground routes. There are also a series of 24 depots connecting between them. In between these basic setups is assorted number of 7 bases of varying purposes. REDACTION BROKEN THROUGH DOWNLOADING BLACK PROGRAM BLUEPRINTS.
Rolled 53>>27569937I support thisI missed the end of yesterdays thread. Did we use the grid we found? And did anything that would severely affect the decisions today happen? Like destroying hives etc.
Rolled 5>>27570092NO MORE REDACTED!?!?!?!? :D
Rolled 55>>27570131Only that particular redacted, what ever it is. But the removal of redacted is always a good thing
>>27570176Yeah. We really should do whatever we can to remove the redacted completely.... it has been hinted at since thread 1.
Rolled 100>>27570094Sadly no, hives are still an issue and far too strong to attack and we're waiting to see what the Ghouls trump card is.This time it's them who'll crack the forts and we sweep in alongside them. If we are that fortunate.
>>27570212Gah, another wasted 100
>>27570212aaaaw man D: a perfectly good 100 wasted :( or is it?
Rolled 19>>27569734There is 1 secret base in charge of depots followed by another two secret unspecified bases lurking somewhere around in the grids. What their purpose is to keep secret/dangerous lines running of which connect all the research bases which shouldn't officially exist. Problem is bases require some real pain the ass or extremely difficult materials. Which the other facilities couldn't be trusted with or would be too expensive. their other purpose is to as 'extra' labs among other things. Umbra extraction was transportation vehicle under guard of two escorts flying vehicles who dropped down guards who set up a perimeter. Their armor was a bleached white on pearl. With trimmings purple and detail/obvious work of red. They do indeed have highly advanced power armor of [REDACTION BROKEN] based of the Hazard series power armor. They seemed to have finished and even improved on then experimental power armor types. Vehicles seemed to have identify the Star Drones and Medac Verti transporter.
>>27570212>>27570224>>27570229It could possibly be used for the ghouls suddenly taking out a hive without telling us first through some miraculous one-off weapon.
>>27570243Only if were EDE's, 100's by users must be linked.
>>27570238I say we send out expeditions to those bases.>>27570272A man can hope can he not? :(
>>27570238And are there any indications as to the locations of these secret bases?
Rolled 56>>27570309The depot overwatch base cannot be found. The other two however [REDACTION BROKE] can be inferred from certain connections, resource wells, and 'empty space' that I am aware of. All you have to do is break into them and follow the tunnels. That will lead you straight to them. Problem is this doesn't work the Head Depot. Only the other two locations can be inferred by this method.
>>27570359Let us send expeditions to them then, Maybe we could find some clues there, as well as any other goodies we might find :D Lets also put our top engineers, electricans etc on the task of figuring out where such a location would most likely be in relations with the rest of the grid.
>>27570359And after half a year of tunneling, how does Alexis feel? Is she up for some more or would she rather do some swamp activity?
>>27570407Good thing about a hivemind is everyone shares, so any one member can already access the best peak of engineering know ho anywhere anytime.
>>27570447Yes, but knowledge through the hivemind does not = expertise, as for example markus demonstrated.
Rolled 65>>27569937...You do know we have that already? Only problem is for the real bigass fuckers and my own personal labs can handle even those. Will work on though..as soon as I figure out where it can fit. Clora'Zel gave our representative a 'oh really' look a pointed at the lovenest. "All you need is the lover strains that I used as assistants. They can enhance performance there is some other stuff I am thinking about developing but I haven't figured it out yet."Torg is still gone. EDE, the Bandits are preparing for war against us because we looted one of their bases right?
>>27570968>>27570922We did research it, but EDE stated that further research was necessary in order to actually figure out what it's good for.
>>27570991And note that general research into an item is VERY different than research into an application of an item.
>>27570991Which is what we are doing now. Figuring out a good use of the properties we have already discovered.>>27570981I fully expect that really, most unfortunate that slipped by. At least our Bandit heroes had some fun.
>>27571002Does it really matter? If we don't get any fruits now, we'll continue research again all the same. It's implicit that when you research and application you research the phenomena itself before that.

Hm where is he?Right here warlord.Hm what hell happened to you looks like you just escaped from a zombie buffet.I lost. Against a former reaver of all thing?Well you see it all started with me having just fought my way through a mobile base and even a zombie hive before encountering...What actually happened...So Dalek thought you could sneak up one me, stated Vass sitting on Dalek.Ooh ow you left the reavers supposed to get...weaker or at least stay the same what the Hell Vass, coughed and moaned Dalek.Hm just I got kicked out doesn't make me weak Dalek especially considering the excuse you used.Bah you know the rule-ooooh that was close. Why did you come here anyway?Trying to find Voss. Why I mean you do know he died here like six years ago?Yeah well the son of bitch has just soo much to explain. But he is dead.No one confirmed he is dead.OHH fuck shit. He would be long gone by NOOO-wAh I remember when he first become a reaver...OOOH NO PLEASE STOOOPPPAh he was so young freshly made ravager to boot...Oh GAWD NEXT TIME I AM GETTING A FORCE SHIELD JUST FOR MY CROTCH.You know that wouldn't be enough right?Maybe not against you.True enough...DOOH was Dalek's final words before passing out due to the pain.Ew rubs bottom of boot on Dalek's face. Tabula Rasa states its an actual grove now and no longer a garden. He even started some other garden around. Its become quite the hobby among the Memor. As for new possibilities gotta be careful too much psionic usage becomes obvious. Irewin went out to wrangle some new ferals. He might be gone for a while.Vilebloods snooped around and found out this new figure is the former reaver known as Vass. Who has been causing some strange havoc in the swamp mostly involving current reavers and mutants. As for finding him no luck despite being former a reaver this one still has the skills of a current one. Rolled 86>>27571543dat rollMAD SCIENCE!
Rolled 45>>27571543That works perfectly, though I had an alternate idea for Claire with her new fertilizer.I vote.Anyway, the idea was selective barbed vines. Great barbed vines that act like barbed wire and can determine our forces to become harmless and retract their thorns. They can grow to immense size, we can plant them everywhere, and move to ensare even monsters. Like living webs, and especially good in conjunction/aiding the growth of spider nests.
>>27571575That'll be a science project for later of course. You know we've really done a lot of mutant, tech stuff but we've never done a lot of offensive botany/plant stuff. We must the swamp on every front and every angle.
>>27571543I support this. I also hope we build in some failsafe into the symbiot. So that we could cause it to selfdestruct and kill them or something. otherwise it seems like a pretty big flaw giving it out to people that might some day use it against us. so In case we don't have that we should include it into further symbiots.>>27571575I like this plan.
Rolled 25>>27571575I've had an idea about splicing Glowing Flowers (the radiation-growth plants) and Finger Biter fish together for a while now. Plants that grow bigger with radiation and are carnivorous/have big toothy mouths (also, maybe they could incorporate the limbs of monsters they bite and eventually walk around in light of recent events). Or finger biter fish that grow bigger with radiation.
>>27571659Great! Actually we could combine a carnivorous jaws with the selective hostility/barbed vines. As for the fish genes absorbing monster parts that's an excellent idea as well.
Rolled 46>>27571659>>27571685and they just keep growing stronger and stronger untill they are killed or become unkillable(unlikely but still) i REALY like this but for best effect we should figure out what powers the giant monsters and then add it to this
As a general thing, whenever someone declares actions try to assign a hero unit that is at least tangentially related to the action to it. >>27571713Not to mention the vine network open up the pathway for spider proliferation. And where the vines grow, the spiderwebs are sure to follow. The monster power source is the holy grail to larger biological lifeforms. >>27571812They are completely independent of resources, it's just that exponential growth (population growth) takes a while to kick off and they have a very small initial population AND a slow rate of reproduction.
>>27571821Maybe he's up for a romp in the city?I don't know, is he expecting a large tactical move of us?Usually when our heroes are bored or depressed they also have ulterior reasons to be discotnet. It's been entirely true of Richard, Marcus, and Clora. Let's ask him about it.
>>27571782Well at least most of our heroes our out on missions and busy at work.Thinking of a plan right now.
Rolled 97>>27571821Warlord Slag here is what I know.Algeraz is a former Wasteland mutant got tired of the same old and went out to become a bandit preying on outsiders. He got very good at what he did. Mawdra is a warlord who came by to force the aimless bandits into a good strong united force. He succeeded mostly beat the stronger groups into submission. Mojan is a bad guy you can hire to take out other bad guys. He loves finding a new target and bringing them down. His crew meanwhile raids for more materials to keep the headhunting going for funzys. Its said his group and him are even willing to go after reavers if the price and challenge is right. >>27571865He is used to good tactics and clever strategy which you are not so good at. That is what he appreciates.
Rolled 53>>27571782Action 1: Add failsafes/selfdestructs etc to symbiots so that 1. they can not be used against us. 2. anyone using them that tries to use them against us dies.Action 2: Start developing a mutation for extra psionic resistance (lets make it a little harder for SWH) we could later sell this mutation to others as well that fear psionics. Action 3: Capture a giant monster so we can finally find out about their internal reactors and other stuff.Military:Find and explore the other secret base.Bandit: Scout out and gather info on the bandits.Mad science: let Richard and clora continue with what they were doing
Rolled 27i think we should ask richard what he has learned about the hellhole: what is it capable of, what would it best be used for, and most importantly what are you planning you glorious crazy bastard?
>>27571908Hey! I'm no Alexander or Rommel but I try to be tactical in our moves.
>>27571865Yes, let's. Also I had a plan back when Voss was still around to send him and Ramona out with a large force of vehicles to go bandit-recruitin'! The Arch-Brood King had told us to establish a bandit faction at the time. Unfortunately, the Psy-Field debacle happened before that plan could be implemented.I think we could do essentially the same thing with Warlord Slag though, and it'd probably make him happy. We shouldn't do it right now though, as we're going to be involved in a war and he grants us Military and Bandit free actions...and also because we have Voss's (apparently more bad-ass) bigger buddy who's going to show up soon in a big way I'm sure, and it might be a good idea to have an old bandit with us when he does.Ask Warlord Slag about Voss and Vass too.
>>27571908But he doesn't know how to train bandits into an elite force for precision strikes?
>>27571909feel free to add additional heroes to this.
Rolled 2>>27571927...so claims the users who never scouts ahead of time and just charges in blindly. >>27571930Voss and Vass are reavers. Voss being a former Ravager while Vass was a former warlord before their initiation. Then something happened to Voss got kicked out when he went ghoul and couldn't shake of the packs that followed him. Vass laughed about it until something happened a few years later. No one knows what is was exactly other then the fact that Vass was unbelievably pissed off about it.

>>27571909I'd recommend against capturing a monster before we build the cage, or have the heroes and traps to lay it out.
>>27571998How am I messing around with psionics?!? We are MUTATING so that it's harder for SWH to mess around with us. We are not doing any psionics at all with that, We are just mutating in a resistance to psionics to prevent future fuckery by SWH and other psionics.
>>27572016>...You do know we have that already? Only problem is for the real bigass fuckers and my own personal labs can handle even those. Will work on though..as soon as I figure out where it can fit. That's what Richard said. We can capture one of them. and even if the location isn't ideal we could atleast dissect it.

But I would still prefere the addition of failsafes to the symbiots (perhaps an allergy to a pheromone we could easily release etc.)
>>27572157Then I suggest we try to develop a symbiot that causes psionic resistance. that way It's even easier to integrate into others as well and easier to sell.
>>27572172The issue with failsafes is that if our things have them they won't sell. It's the reason Marcus doesn't put failsafes in his devices, and half the reason we've looked further into symbionts is because at the GREAT BANDIT MEETUP all the bandits were interested in our bio-modifications.
>>27572192Thing is i'm also worried about selling biomods to bandits, especially since we're racking up a bad rep with some of em.Though yeah, that would be a major downgrade to profitability.
>>27572192Who said anything about telling them about the failsafes? as far as they know when they betray us it's yet another of our viruses that we've unleashed that starts killing them.

By the time you made it out of there you had only a mere handful leftover. You crawled all over the massive labyrnth. It didn't exactly help that new tunnels seemed to appear overnight but you dug around then one day saw a flicker of something you never seen before. Then the chase was on only to end when you somehow ran into Alexis. That was when you heard a sound. It giggled. You are Vass you just got attacked by some Vix who just got somersaulted straight into a tree and wasn't getting up. Then you ducked out of the way of some slicing claws and threw a kick...which ended up in a Rix's mega maw. Aw shit. So just as it was about to bite down and you were going to lose a foot you swung yourself up and headbutted the fucker. You saw stars but it caught it off guard enough to loosen its grip so you kept withe the momentum and ended up on its back. Using your revolver to blow its brains out...or tried to anyway. Damn carapace is thick. So instead you decided to do some tap dancing with spiked boots on its forehead. it then after trying to slice you which you just merely jumped out of the way landing that much harder on its no matter how hard it tried to dodge eventually collapsed. >>27573741Also, a slight change to the scouting action, why don't we send traders to scout? That way we can both trade and scout without it immediately being risked to be seen as hostile? If they hate our guts enough to just kill the traders on the spot though then don't
Rolled 29>>27573871Tunnels have countermeasures against viruses and chemical and etc. because they were part of a BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH COMPLEX.We aren't strong enough to go into the tunnels yet! Jesus fuck.
>>27573920A shame. I was hoping we could try the acid-alkalki flux tactic with sprayers on the zombies. Melt them and their bones to goup. Or just send in the jumpers to start hacking at the horde with snapping jaws that could cut 10 cars in half in 10 seconds. In any case, I pray one day we have enough borgST numbers to send them down there and have a permanent presence.
>>27573920I'm really starting to wonder how all those facilities are still powered O.o and completely maintained.
>>27573965We're actually in excess of power.Problem is we don't have the advanced tech to use it for anything good (like a doomlaser or something). Plus we're a biofacility. Even our mechanical genius Marcus had to jurry rig it loads of itmes when he was around.
Rolled 54>>27573954Chemical weapons like that would work, it's just poisonous gases and etc. that'd get neutralized.
>>27573887Noka Kong would make an excellent base for a new type of fleshbeast.A special detector unit, preventing our scouting teams from being snuffed out like candles (even with hivemind) that also incites fear. Maybe later we can amplify it to cause all things to flee in terror with enough numbers
Rolled 15>>27574033Yeah, it would be good to make something based off of him for use in the tunnels. We get blindsided down there all the time.
>>27573998I'm talking about the swarmed tunnels etc, if we are powering them, why don't we just stop powering them before pumping in viruses etc?And as for the excess Power and doom weapon, Why don't we just make a gigantic coilgun or railgun in our base? coilguns and railguns are (relatively) simple compared to a lot of stuff we've been using. We coul also apropriate some of the old rod of god defences we got WAAAAY back to help with this.
>>27574072We're not in control of the power system. As for the doom weapons, we don't have the tech for that (yet) nor could we research it without significant other resources and info we don't have.
Rolled 83>>27574072Because we don't have the technology to make a giant coilgun or railgun. And we're not powering those tunnels, an unknown source is. That aside, what makes you think the virus would do anything against the horrors that inhabit the tunnels?
Rolled 2>>27573741>>27573828I want a compromise>BanditKeep up the ambushes on their patrols and scouts. Alexis helps. Send Nova Kong too to test out his detector abilities and prevent counter ambush>MilitarySet up hidden platforms in trees around the bandit military bases and have tectus snipers occupy them, as well as buggers and hidden spiders to detect things and lay traps. Use our Vizen spies to coordinate with them and take out targets of opportunity. Slag and Wil help.>Basic 1Attempt to figure out how to work out the kinks in our brewing process with Claire and Witch Luna! Figure out what's in Witch Luna's Crazy Juice.>Basic 2Construct some sort of biological or technological tracking device to be placed on monsters, that can monitor their dietary habits as well as possibly monitoring their vitals>Basic 3Have Dr. Claire look into research of selective barbed vines with omnivorous diet or plant monsters.>selective barbed vines. Great barbed vines that act like barbed wire and can determine our forces to become harmless and retract their thorns. >splicing Glowing Flowers (the radiation-growth plants) and Finger Biter fish together for a while now. Plants that grow bigger with radiation and are carnivorous/have big toothy mouths (also, maybe they could incorporate the limbs of monsters they bite and eventually walk around in light of recent events). They can grow to immense size, we can plant them everywhere, and move to ensare even monsters. Like living webs, and especially good in conjunction/aiding the growth of spider nests.
Rolled 54>>27574022Doubtful. >>27574033New strain based of Nova King will guaranteed to not be as powerful with without reproductive capabilities. >>27574061Nova King is oh fuck huge its doubtful a strain so much smaller we be as effective.
>>27574102>>27574106Then we really should try to find the source of that Power, or cut off the Power in those tunnels before we try. And that's why we use viruses, Chemicals, poisons or just pump in tons of flameable gasses and ignite etc. we try everything, then we go in and mopp up everything that's still alive. As for the coilgun they are laughably simple to create, you just need a metalspool and electricity. that's really it. the more electricity the more powerful. the whole targeting system is more complicated, but EDE should be able to hande that as well, or we just fire a lot and wait for one of the shots to hit.
>>27574160The whole sniper thing would probably fail due to the fact that the bandits could just bombard the area with artillery or send in a few tanks to deal with them.
>>27574162>New strain based of Nova King will guaranteed to not be as powerful with without reproductive capabilities.Doesn't that go without saying tho? Everything must be bred.>>27574185Thing is, these are some pretty tough defenses here I doubt that'll work. There are doors and bulkheads, neutralizers, anti-flame and gas ventilators, and all sorts of things designed against that.As for the coilgun the powergrid might not take to kind to that and it's a LOT more complicated than that. I don't think we have any good magnetic scientist.>>27574212But that's been true since day one, and the thing about sniping is they'd have to find them first. And we have some of the stealthiest fuckers out in addition we also equipt our troops with AT capabilities and they can always detect incomnig artillery and flee (being pretty damned fast).
Rolled 23>>27574160Okay, sans sending Nova King with them (the forces under his command get the bonus as well and see >>27574162 he's fuck-huge) make sure the Tectus are doing hit-and-run sniper attacks and evaccing before any retaliation can hit them.>>27574185 For the umpteenth fucking time We can't operate in the tunnels, they're too dangerous so we can't find power sources let alone cut them (that'd also ruin perfectly good facilities and let loose god-knows-what), and EDE has certified that nothing of that sort will work in the tunnels.
Rolled 8>>27574212That's what the Germans thought in Stalingrad to you know.
>>27574257What do we use Nova Kong for then this turn?
>>27574162could we possibly make a strain that's pretty much just a blob that gets carried around that just incorporates as much of nova kings detection abilities as possible? without ability to move by itself or anything, needing to be nursed by other memor to stay alive, that level of ONLY THE DETECTION.>>27574243I really appreciate you coming up with logical arguments why my plan doesn't work instead of just screaming no ^^. But that's why we should focus on finding out the secrets of the powergrid so we could disable that. And no, a coilgun is pretty much the simplest kind "advanced" weapon you can do. All you need is to let a current you through a metal coil, thus creating a magnetic field which would propell metal slugs through it at high speed that you connect to capacitators (or just the Power grid if it's powerful enough) to let it charge up electricity to be released for the time it takes the slug to accelerate through the coild and then turn of the electricity as it reaches the end of it to avoid disturbing the path due to the magnetic curents widening there, The whole turning it into a superweapon thing is just a matter of scale,And the sniper thing is true, but a bombardment of a large are still poses risks, but I'll give you that one. sniping could work.
Rolled 97>>27574160Well I'll vote this, but Nova Kong stays in the base.
>>27574358We could use Him to try to do an elemental storm on an enemy base depending on if he could do it from far enough that he'd still be safe
Rolled 95>>27574404You might need Clora'Zel for that new detection strain. And she is busy with Richard doing god knows what. I suspect Nova Kong knows but wont say.
>>27574404>The whole turning it into a superweapon thing is just a matter of scaleAnd therein lies the issue. We need a weapons expert for something of that size.We shall have to construct loading systems, program the electronics and wiring required to popwerly power the magnetic coil field properly, deal with the issue inevitable recoil of such a large weapon and the design of the coil itself, what materials do we use to deal with the immense power and the strain on whatever magnetic medium (which me must decide) that we used to create the field, what projectile do we use and design?
>>27574417This and this roll
>>27574467Consider, that although a trebuchet can be considered "a big slingshot" it is a lot more complicated due to the scale and factors thereof
>>27574467The loading system does not need to be advanced, it could just be that we manually put the slugs in the back of it, or another simple system. The programming could be done easily with some testing, we are talking highschooler level of simple here as long as they can test it while programming. The wiring is really just connect one Cable to one end and Another to the other end, the only issue there would be the on/of switch which really is simple as well. The recoil could be handeled by dampeners and putting most of it in a concrete hole filled with differend dampeners on a rotating platform, We'd probably need to regurarly maintain that but it would work.as for what materials, copper reinforced with an outer layer of steel/concrete to support it. if steel would be unwise we could use Concrete together with for example some kind of strong monster bone (remember where we couldn't dissect that monster?) as for projectiles they would just be metal slugs accelerated to a silly velocity, or special ammunition that we design for it.
Rolled 73>>27574160Ambushes continue as usual. Slag gave out the plans and routes to do so while Wil got bored and wondered of to hang out with Nova Kong. Claire fixed the brewery issues and gave a long series of instructions that made even Mindy head of the Brewery weep. Meanwhile when we tried to figure out whats in her stuff she got stony silent and disapeared on us. Trackers have been constructed not hard the base had plenty only need mild modification. Dr. Claire is looking into barbed vines...she admits to missing Richard claiming his mad genius would be perfect for this.ALERT ALERT Enemy Hero detected on the field of battle. Our ambushers are getting wiped out to the man and our sniper teams are getting picked off. >>27574598If if it were that simple I wonder why our government is still researching into a working model to this day.In any case there's also the issue of the powergrid beyond our control, which may shut down attempts for us to tap into that kind of power.
>>27574669Welp that's the straw that broke the camels back. Here come the bandits in full force, we've ticked them off.
Rolled 56>>27574717Then we had better prepare a warm welcome for them. we'll need it, these are enemy heroesAnd here I was thinking we'd be dealing with Zombies or Monster Mayhem first.
>>27574681They are researching how to 1. fix the Power problem (which we don't seem to have)2. The aiming part, but as we don't need to concern ourselves with the whole (killing civilians if we miss) part and our targets mostly being stationary bases or huge hordes that's a pretty moot point, We coul just fire slug after slug until the job is done.3. There are already working prototypes, they are just not widespread due to the costinefficiency of them, (also a moot point for us since we use it as a superweapon in an a fixed area with plenty of Power)
>>27574669What does Slag think of the appearance of this new hero and what does it bode? Now that we can no longer pick of their patrols, what actions or goals does he suggest?
Rolled 13>>27574717Zombie presence is too heavy for them to move out in force. Problem is whoever this force is they are amazingly good.
>>27574789Hmm, if you put it that way. I'm actually intrigued with that idea then. If we have the materials and know how to do so, I'd like to see what could come of it.
Rolled 90>>27574791Hm looks might be a Algeraz's work considering the cohesion but considering we are a bit far from his turf my money is on Mojan. As for what does it bode who knows other then the fact they are quite good at breaking our forces at the moment.Stop being the hunted and become the hunter.
Rolled 37>>27574789...You do know we have coil guns(mostly hilly billy stock though) already right? Even Gauss rifles.
>>27574862>Stop being the hunted and become the hunter.I'll take that advice to heart then. What of our spiders, have they awoken yet? And is Alexis better?
>>27574879Yeah, but not in the scale we're thinking of. If feasible.
Rolled 22>>27574881Spider should awaken next turn.Alexis still needs another 2 turns to recover enough to be ready for action.
>>27574879We are not talking about simple guns here. We are talking about the Schwerer Gustaf of the coilguns. something that could fire across half the swamp or more.
>>27574920Heh, I actually believe our old bombadiers are/were equiped with multiple of the equivalent Schwere Gustav
>>27574919Then if we can wait 2 turns, I'm thinking of a plan to deal with this enemy hero issue.

>>27576678And Didrikson? I guess he joined in some point. So that went completely. . .better than I expected. Different, but at least not horribly bad. Losses were moderate. We're still in one piece. We didn't capture any heroes, but at least we've seen our new enemies. And there's an army coming to us (oh dear).
Rolled 79>>27576678Which direction is the army coming from?Did we get a glimpse on their army? Numbers and equipment? Did we manage to scout the path in between them and us?
Rolled 17>>27576678Hm you think you can take me on boy?Hah why yes if I wasn't prepared I would lose but alas I am.Think that gives you a chance? Why yes it doe- oh bloody hell a fucking decoy. Goddamn that is the best one I have ever seen and that is saying something.Ah you liked it huh, I must admit I was rather proud of that one, stated the Noble Hunter. Heh I can tell ah well you are no Slag for wasting my tame though your gonna have to die. I am not sure if i can do that, stated Wil as he revealed his true form.Oh fuck me I wasn't prepared to take your head.Guess your gonna die then huh?"Perhaps if I had known ahead for it would be different", answered Mojan reaching for his spear with gun in hand.Enemy hero has fallen. Irewin Slag here I need you to unleash the ferals you collected heading towards these cordinates. Don't worry about the zombies Nova Kong will take care of them.OH come on do you have any IDEA how long it took to wrangle these bastards despite all the fucking zombies and rising monsters? I had to dig through dens and even the tunnels damn it.Just do it.Zombie hordes deployed towards the bandit army.News Ghoulish Legions have deployed their forces a number of hives have been nuked and advanced upon. Meanwhile ghoulish strike teams and wranglers took to the field taking down zombie hordes.
Rolled 22>>27576826Direction is from the north.Glimpses indicate 10k bandits at least. Equipment is all very well equiped they are all at LEAST veteran status. Scouts currently is a no in a few more turns they should be in familiar territory however.
Rolled 72Is it just me that actually finds that army a very tempting target for the entropic virus? And yes, we probably shouldn't but still. veeeeeery tempting before they reach us.Action 1. Spread even more seeds and traps.Action 2. Come up with more traps and spread them!! Bury pipes to sprinklers that emmit entropic virus one target version when the enemies pass by, have fleshbeasts buried to spring on them. Dig pits where we put sedated monsters in them to Wake up in a bad mood. be creative!!! Action3. Have Richard continue working on the superweapon coilgun.Bandit. scout out the army constatly to keep check on it, if an opportunity presents itself strike it.Military. constant long range bombardment by any means possible. (entropic virus as well if people approve of that)
Rolled 61>>27576836Fuck yeah, Wilfred Didrickson. At least that zombie horde should slow them down while we think of something.
Rolled 47>>27576938Not to mention our own ghoulish force will also soon be deploying with a path cleared for them ahead of time. Guess the zombies can't say no to that size of a feast.
Rolled 23>>27576912These are no mere zombies, these are veteran bandits. It's likely they have gasmasks and hazmat body armor, in addition to vehicles. As for scouting we sorta bloodied our scouting forces, but in a few turns they will be here. And dangit NOW the ghouls decide to strike and we're being pressed with another army altogether.
gotta go. good luck stopping the bandit army guys.
>>27576989Sure, even if all of them constantly wear gasmasks and hazmat it won't protect against all the traps and thevines, and then they will slip up occasionally, take the mask of, compromise integrity by scratching the nose, or have a wounded mask from an earlier encounter with a vine or from a bomb that exploded five minutes earlier. And the scouting is mainly to makes sure that our guys laying the traps etc are safe from forward elements of the enemy army and to pick of patrolls etc.
Rolled 4>>27577018Actually I'm kinda tired too (mostly from the suspense of my plan horibbly backfiring). Can we call it a night EDE and deal with the invasion next thread?
>>27577055>>27577018Yeah. I kinda agree xD really got to get some sleep. night all. And thanks for the thread EDE ^^
>>27577055When is next thread by the way? Tuesday right?
Rolled 40In any case gonna call it night. Will stick around for question asnswering. Also this Civ will likely end once you got the swamp in your grasp making you a regional threat because I have no fucking idea how to run a large scale civ. And that may be stretching it considering how big the swamp is. Might have to end it once you get the northern section alone in grasp.
Rolled 97>>27577127That is like telling us once you get spoonful of the cake we can't eat the rest of it.There's just so many interesting things out there, you've created a fantasically curious world please don't do this to us. We have faith in you EDE.
Rolled 67>>27577164I am sorry anon I just have no fucking idea how to run a large scale civ. Don't worry though chances are I will run another civ in the same setting before I get tired and just want to run an ordinary quest or something.
Rolled 36>>27577203Well, then may we savor this quests for as long as it lasts and the world it's in. I can say this honestly, you're an incredibly good QM and writer.Kudos to you, and g'night EDE.
Will we ever face off She Who Hungers? Will the Memor ever create peace for themselves? A return of Marcus? Will the area's outside the swamp be touched by the hand of Memor? One can only hope.
Rolled 5>>27577270Still winning about Marcus okay I know he is good npc but I don't he is that good. In any case are there any questions?
Rolled 7>>27577270>What in the world is Wil?>The secrets of Fall and [redacted]>The dozens of other factions outside our swamp and the other heroes we've seen. and all the subplots.>1000 other questions this setting has yet to reveal>>27577377>I know he is good npc but I don't he is that good. Nostalgia I guess. He was one of our first and a Memor. We miss the big tanks. He did leave the biggest mark on our base.As for actual game questions, I don't have much except can you draw a rought estimate of where they are on the map?
Rolled 39>>27577452The bandit army I mean.
Rolled 22>>27577464Red blot
Rolled 33>>27577539Heh thanks>filenameOne day we'll change that. I swear.
>>27576912I dislike you strongly. Your ideas were good and clever at first because you were grounded and they were relatively small scale. Now you want to grab for every instant-win without an ounce of caution.
