You are Reinhold, master swordsman and victor of the Royal Swordsmanship Tournament. The King was so impressed with your skill, he personally requested that you be transferred out of the army and into the Royal Guard! Not bad for an orphan who was raised in a brothel in a poor fishing village.

The only issue at this point is your assignment... you've been charged to be the personal guard of the King's only daughter Marianne. While she is the vision of loveliness that you'd expect from a Princess, her personality is... well... she seems to be RATHER unpleasant.

Nicolette's managed to drag both you and Sylvie along with her on a trip into town... and before you left, she roped Princess Marianne's personal maid Melanie along as well.

You're currently on the way to town along with these three, in a carriage that Sir Vincent lent you.

>Guard Rank: RABBIT
>Congratulations, you are now a nonassuming Rabbit!
>While rabbits are also small mammals, but people actually like having them around!
>The Princess is pretty much indifferent towards you now!
>But she still doesn't consider you to be a person.

>"Nicolette's dragging me along with her to get a dress for Prince Emilio's party," Sylvie says, sighing. "I was thinking about maybe checking out some bookstores since I'll be in the area..."
>"Oh, so that's what this trip was about?" Melanie turns to Nicolette. "I don't think I've ever seen you in a formal dress, I'd be happy to help you pick something out!" she says with a smile.
>"Uh... sure, thanks," Nicolette replies, starting to turn red.

"Oh yeah, Melanie probably has plenty of experience making girls look like princesses!" you say with a chuckle.
"That's right... so maybe it wasn't necessary for me to coming along after all?" Sylvie chimes in.
"The Princess actually picks out all of her own clothing, we just help her get it on..." Melanie replies, blushing slightly.
"But I'm sure you've developed an eye for this kind of thing..." Sylvie teases.
"D-dammit you guys, cut it out already!" Nicolette yells, her face bright red. "I don't wanna be all fancy and shit like Marianne, so quit messing around!"

Incredibly embarassed by this talk of fancy dresses, Nicolette covers her face with her hands and starts mumbling to herself.

This.

Remind Nicolette that the entourage of the princess should be appropriately dressed and behaved, lest we pass ourselves off as that fool whats-his-face that we punched.

"Hmm... I wonder if I'll be needing a fancy outfit for this party too..." you say to yourself.
"Hm? Reinhold, do you like dressing up?" Sylvie asks, a surprised expression on her face.
"I've never actually been to any kind of fancy event or even dressed up before, so I have no idea how that thing's supposed to go," you reply.

"I doubt you have to worry," Nicolette says, finally having regained her composure. "If you pick out your own shit while we're out here, there's a chance of Marianne bitching you out for not matching her style or whatever."
"She is rather picky..." Melanie says. "...if you're expected to dress formally, I'm sure that Mr. Arnaud or the Princess will inform you as such."
"Well, if you say so..." you trail on. "I am kind of curious as to what Nicolette would look like in a dress, though."

"Ehehehehe... well, maybe you can help us pick something out for her, then!" Sylvie says, the kind of sly grin that you'd expect to see from Nicolette beginning to form on her face.
"It might be good to get a male perspective..." Melanie joins in.
"DAMMIT YOU GUY CUT IT OUT WITH THAT SHIT ALREADY!!" Nicolette shouts, once again burying her face in her arms.

"Nicolette, I am certain, nay, absolutely sure as I swear upon the still earth beneath our feet, that your visage in the formal dress will inspire generations of poets and playwrights to their apotheosis: your beauty will launch their rise to legend, as their meagre descriptions of what you will wear defies all the standards of the arts that we have been wallowing in-- be my muse! Time seems to fly as Sylvie relentlessly teases Nicolette, and you the carriage arrives in town before you know it. As you exit the carriage, you quickly notice that this is the same area that you were in with the Princess the other day.

Let's take this slowly, more that one person wanted throwing knives.

You directly associated throwing knives with a clearly terrible and poorly written selection of dialogue.

You have therefore transitively associated a character choice that was desired by multiple people with idiocy.

It was neither kneejerk, nor unwarranted I read exactly what was there, though you may have made the association unintentionally.

Since nobody else seems to want to speak up, you take the initiative.

"Umm, maybe the clockmaker's?" you say.
"Oh yeah, you did say that you wanted to get a watch..." Melanie replies, looking at her own pocketwatch. "Um, would you like me to show you where I got mine?"
"If it's not too much trouble..."
"Alright, just follow me!" Melanie smiles at you and motions for you to follow.

The three of you follow the bespectacled maid through several streets and alleys, finally making it to a small shop nestled between two much larger establishments.

"Um... this one's a lot smaller, but the owner's pocketwatches are very accurate," Melanie says, adjusting her glasses. "I haven't been yelled at for being late ever since I bought mine from him."

With that, Melanie opens the door and motions for the rest of you to enter, then closes it behind her.

In a medieval setting where mechanics are barely a thing, a clock accurate to within a half hour over a day is really expensive.

A watch is orders of magnitude more expensive for less quality due to the miniaturization required, we may be looking at shelling out our entire months pay for this watch.
>>
>>27597723
Magic anon you have to remember magic exist here.
>>
>>27597723
> In a medieval setting where mechanics are barely a thing, a clock accurate to within a half hour over a day is really expensive.

They could be magical. And clock technology could be relatively advanced in isolation from other technologies. Or mechanical technology might be advanced. Or or or.

The best he has in the store is probably still worth of a hell of a lot. And non-gaudy is relative.

Do you even know what "relative" means? Like, a gold watch would be extravagant for a boy living in a brothel, but not necessarily for a royal guard in the palace. But that's still going to be somewhat expensive. And even an understated watch can cost a hell of a lot.
>>
You nod to Seifert and look over to Sylvie to make sure that little comment doesn't set her off. Fortunately, she was too busy admiring the various timepieces in the shop to pay attention.

"Um, I was looking for a pocketwatch. Something sturdy and reliable, and not too gaudy." you say.
"Ah, something practical. I see that you have good taste in more than just women..." Seifert says as he stands up from his chair and prods through various timepieces. "Hmm... you said nothing too gaudy, so that narrows it down a lot..."

After some more pacing around the store, Seifert places three watches on the counter in front of you.

"The gaudy stuff is what sells so that cuts out a lot of my stock, but here you go," Seifert says.
"They certainly are nice..." Melanie chimes in.

You look over the watches that Seifert brough out for you... there's one with a somewhat ornate design on the case, one with exposed gears on the face, and a third that's in a matte black metal.

>pick your watch
>ask someone to pick it for you

>Magic
So instead of paying to enlist the expensive expertise of a watchmaker you're instead paying for a mage who is both powerful enough to manage an artifact such as an accurate watch, and is not already on the payroll of some noble doing other things. Doesn't sound hugely less expensive.

Pick the one with the exposed gears. I personally like this style of watch and seeing the inner workings of a watch is always cool.
>>
>>27597892

>>
I get the feeling here that some people have vastly different ideas of what a watch costs. Like, my brother has a cheap watch at about €300, but some people can pay as much as €600,000 and call it cheap. And you can pick up a kid's watch at a gas station for like €15.

Matte Black.
>>
>>27597892

>>
>>27597892
>exposed gears
I like it personally, but it ISN'T sophisticated in the slightest... and by that I mean I bought one...
and I love it...
but still not what we're looking for

>Ornate design
depends on how prominent the design is...

>Matte black metal
if the ornate design is tasteful, I'd go with the matte.

Also if the face of the clock itself is cobalt, I like even more
>>
>>27597892
>there's one with a somewhat ornate design on the case,
What's the design? What are we talking here? Material?
>one with exposed gears on the face,
What about the case?
>and a third that's in a matte black metal.
How is this not gaudy?
>>
>>27597892
Before making a decision lets get everyone's opinion about it and ask the watch maker their prices and the difference between other than design.
>>
>>27597953
You're looking at it from todays perspective.

Pocket watches only started being cheap enough for people other than the obscenely wealthy in the 1800's, at that point it was only the mildly wealthy

In the renaissance era you might have owned one if you were high nobility, might.
>>

Either the matte black or the ornate

one of those.

This isn't "realistic medieval economy quest" we aren't going into full depth for "OHMAHGAWD WE ARE BUYING THINGS THAT ARE UNREALISTIC FOR THE TIME PERIOD AND PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE" because the setting is far from historically accurate and magic while not everywhere is relatively common so if someone has a watch that runs on magic crystals to keep time because Archelon wants to make things simple then that's what we get
>>
>>27598020
>>27598032
We don't know her payscale, which is undoubtedly good even if it's not as good as ours, and we don't know how long she saved up for it.

As for magic, it doesn't matter how complicated said magic is, all that matters is that to create something for sale, the mage has to be earning more selling stuff than he could sitting in some nobles keep studying whatever the hell he wants for the nobles prestige.

That being said, I think we'll have the money for it, I just don't expect much to spare afterwards.

Because the argument is already far from reasonable when people are dragging earth history into a fantasy setting with very little similarity besides having humans

What other stuff would you want though? We have our lodging we can't leave without quitting our job - even if we wanted to, considering how it has more facilities we could probably afford (library, best cooks in the land, armory... hot water!).

We also have equipment and access to royal armory.

I'm pretty sure we'll have enough money for some chocolates or pastry for her highness even after we get a watch.

We don't know that. If she makes half of us, that's three weeks pay. Fucking nothing for a watch. It could as easily be 100 or 1000.

We also spent some money on the notebook, probably a trivial amount but still, we have slightly less than 40 gold, if we had no savings before the tournament - probably a false assumption.

"So, is that the one you wanted?" Seifert asks, turning to you.
"Um, yeah," you reply.

"...that's more than half off, is it really okay to sell it for that price?" you ask, feeling more than a bit guilty. It's not like you can't afford full price, after all.

"Oh, I remember this one," Seifert says as he takes the watch from Melanie. "...though I'm pretty sure I would have remembered selling it to a maid."
"Er- I wasn't able to change into casual clothes before coming here today, so..."
"Heh, I was just messing with you. I never forget a pair of glasses, after all."

Seifert then takes both the watch that you bought and the one that Melanie handed with him to the back room for a few minutes, then returns to the counter.

"Here you go, good as new. The tuneup's free of charge," Seifert says as he hands you your watches. "And I made sure that they both have the right time, so you could consider them to be synchronized..."

"I dunno..." you say as you turn to the others. "What do you think?"
"If it's not too much trouble..." Melanie speaks up, "...there was a boutique that I'd kind of wanted to go to..."
"Cool, let's go," Nicolette replies.

Once again, you follow Melanie through several different alleyways and sidestreets until you reach a medium-sized store with a sign saying "Victorine's Boutique."

"I'm unable to afford the really expensive jewelry, but I do like this store's selection," Melanie says as she holds the door open for you.

As you enter, you're immediately hit by how much SHINY everything is. Not shiny like swords or armor, everyting in this store is almost unnatural in how much light is reflected. You step aside and rub your eyes, and Melanie rushes past you, immediately attaching herself to the side of a display case.

"Uh, Melanie? Are you okay?" you say, walking up to her.
"Hm? Did you want something, Mr. Reinhold?" Melanie replies, her eyes eagerly reflecting the sparkling light of the jewelry.
"Uh... nothing," you say as you back away.

Staying out of the way, you watch as Melanie hungrily looks over everything in the store. Nicolette joins her, though she doesn't seem to be anywhere nearly as interested. Sylvie, on the other hand, just stands aside with you.

"Uh, you're not going to join in?" you ask.
"Hm? No, I never had much of an interest in jewelry," Sylvie replies. "I just never saw the point... though I'm sure that sounds kind of odd coming from a girl," she laughs nervously.

A ruby is a pink to blood-red colored gemstone, a variety of the mineral corundum (aluminium oxide). The red color is caused mainly by the presence of the element chromium.

Well it's a corundum so it's aluminum oxide crystals, but I'm pretty sure "contains a metallic element" doesn't make something a metal for our purposes, we need something that's actually metallically bonded. Would be way too overpowered otherwise.

Its not like we can only cast earth and metal spells. We can cast any type if we work for it.
How hard is this for you people to understand. I see alot of people assuming otherwise in the last few threads, even though archelon stated it clearly a few times.

"So... what -do- you like, then?" you ask.
"What, so you have a problem with me not being obsessed with shiny rocks?" Sylvie turns to you, slightly annoyed. "...oh, you were serious. Sorry."
"...don't worry about it?" you reply, with a nervous laugh.
"Umm... what do I like..." Sylvie scratches her head. "Studying magic, I guess? I'd like to maybe get as strong as my father, so I have a long way to go... um, I try to stay fit too, though I don't want to get all huge like him."
"Heh, that's pretty understandable," you reply.
"I also like reading, I guess. The Princess and I have similar taste in books, though we don't really talk all that much anymore."

The two of you then watch Melanie and Nicolette for a bit, until a couple of questions start to form in your head.

"...hm. does any of this have any application in magic?" you ask.
"Eh? What do you mean, jewelry?" Sylvie replies.
"I mean, like jewels and gemstones, that kind of thing."
"Oh. Umm... not that I can think of, no. Some people are superstitious about that kind of thing, but gemstones don't have any innate magical properties."
"Oh," you reply, a bit disappointed.
"I mean, you can certainly -make- gems, and one of the Old Kings was an Earth spirit that specialized in creating huge crystals... but nothing farther than that."

>[1/2]
>>
>>27599273
Which is the problem. Everyone can inquire about crazy spells, and come up with neat ideas, but until archelon chooses to confirm it (or waits for us to find out in character) then there's not a whole lot of reason to keep asking.

This sounds interesting enough.

What stops people from just producing gems all the time though for money? I'd assume it takes up a lot of energy to create even one.
>>

Maybe nothing stops them from doing so, and such gems are in high supply and therefor dont worth as much as they do in real world. It's about supply and demand after all.

"...oh, but Nicolette does have a necklace that has a spell inscribed into it." Sylvie says.
"...really? You can do that?"
"Yeah, I think it was hand-carved... I've never seen Script that small before, so it must have been really expensive."
"Huh. One of the perks of nobility, I guess," you say with a chuckle.
"My parents are a lot richer than Nicolette's and I've never even... umm, nevermind that," Sylvie tries to laugh that last comment off. "But yeah, Nicolette's father gave that necklace to her when she joined the Royal Guard, 'so that she'd never be disarmed' or something."

"Um, mind if I ask another question?" you ask.
"Not like we have anything better to do, so go ahead," Sylvie replies with a sigh.
"Are there any easy beginner-level Earth spells I could use to practice with?"
"Earth? Uh... most of the stuff I can think of just makes a mess. Either with summoning rocks and stuff or creating shockwaves... I'll try and look something up for you, though," she smiles, giving you a thumbs up.

"Cool, thanks," you return the gesture. "Oh yeah, are there any scroll stores around here?"
"Yeah, there's a ton. I'll show you to one later, PROVIDED WE DON'T SPEND ALL DAY IN HERE," Sylvie shouts at Nicolette and Melanie.

Finally shocked out of her jewelry-induced stupor, Melanie bows deeply to Sylvie.

"Um... I'm really sorry for that, Miss Sylvie. I think I'm done, so if you'd like to leave..." Melanie says.

As you leave the jewelry store (without anyone buying a thing), you turn to Sylvie.

"Wow, Sylvie," you begin, "I guess you let loose when you're out of the castle, huh."
"Eh!? I'm not really- uh-" Sylvie begins stammering.
"Ehehehehe, that's not it at all, Reinhold," Sylvie says to you as she puts an arm around Sylvie's shoulders. "This is the true Sylvie that only appears when she's comfortable around someone."

Upon hearing Nicolette's comment, Sylvie's face starts blushing profusely and she elbows Nicolette HARD in the stomach. Completely unable to defend due to having had her arm around Sylvie's shoulders at the time of impact, Nicolette slumps to the ground in pain.

"Geh... she only gets this abusive when she's comfortable around you, too," Nicolette says as she clutches her stomach. "You better be careful, Reinhold..."

As Nicolette writhes on the ground in exaggerated agony, you turn to Sylvie.

"I guess it's your turn to pick where we go." you say to her.
"Eh? Um, okay... follow me," she replies.

Nicolette scrambles to her feet to follow as Sylvie leads you to a familiar place... Marchamp's Literary Emporium.

"Huh. I was here a few days ago with the Princess," you say as you hold the door open for the girls to enter.

You follow behind the girls and are once again hit with the familiar scent of paper. The old owner Marchamp sits behind his counter and smiles as he watches you enter.

"Good morning, Mr. Marchamp!" Sylvie says to he old man with a warm smile.
"Ah, Miss Sylvie. I see that you brought some friends with you?" Marchamp replies.
"Um, yes. My friend here," she points at Nicolette, "dragged me into town today so I took the opportunity to pay you a visit."
"Well, I supose I should thank her..." Marchamp replies, and then he turns to you. "Ah! You're Marie's friend! How is she doing?"
"Eh?" you're caught off-guard by the sudden question. "Um, she's doing alright, I guess."
"Haha, make sure to take care of her for me, you hear? She may put up a strong facade, but Marie's actually a delicate flower..."

Leaving the others to carry on as they will, you make your way to the magic section of the bookstore. There's a massive amount of books here, and it's pretty overwhelming... but after a while, you find something that sparks your interest- "A Beginner's Earth Magic: 12th edition."

As you flip through the pages, it looks like the kind of book that's directed at rank amateurs like yourself, so you pick it up and make your way to the counter just as Sylvie's paying for a few books.

"Oh, you found something too? Just toss it in my bag, I'll pay for it." Sylvie says.

"Umm, thanks," you say as you place the book in her bag. "Though you do know that now I'm going to have to buy you something later."
"In that case, you can pay for lunch," Sylvie says jokingly. "Hey, do either of you want anything?" she turns to the Nicolette and Melanie. "I'm buying!"
"Huh? Nah, I'm fine," Nicolette says as she puts down a book with a picture of an ornate sword on the cover.
"I couldn't..." Melanie says.
"Alright, your loss then."

With that, Sylvie pays for the books and says goodbye to Marchamp, and then leaves the store with the rest of you following close behind her.

"Alright, where should we go..." your voice trails off.

THAT.

THAT FEELING.

IT'S THE SAME ONE FROM BEFORE.

Playing it cool, you turn to Nicolette.

"Hey," you say
"Hm?" Nicolette replies.
"Over there, that building to the west," you quietly say while doing your best not to let on to whatever it is over there that YOU KNOW. "You feel that?"

Knowing exactly what you're trying to convey, Nicolette glances in that direction without turning her head.

"...yeah, someone's watching us," she says, not betraying with her body language that she also knows.
"This is the same feeling that I told Arnaud about the last time I was here," you reply.
"...shit. Sylvie?"
"Hm?" Sylvie replies, also playing along.
"Hand your bag to Melanie and get ready. Reinhold, you follow my lead. Melanie, you stay here where it's safe," Nicolette says, taking care not to be too suspicious.

You see Sylvie's face go completely serious as she chants out a spell faster than you can even make out, and...

"STARLIGHT WING!"

Several luminous white wings appear on Sylvie's back as she grabs onto Nicolette's wrists and flies FAST towards the source of the disturbance. Not one to be shown up, you dash at top speed in the same direction.

"Um... Mr. Reinhold? Miss Nicolette? What's going on!?" Melanie shouts, completely lost as to what you're doing.

As the two girls fly overhead, you duck into an alleyway and proceed to jump up the walls, gradually working your way to the roof. As you climb, you're met with the sight of Sylvie THROWING Nicolette at a hooded figure.

As she speeds towards her target, Nicolette pulls a necklace out from her shirt, and...

"FRAGMENT LANCER!"

You see the necklace glow a bright red as a long piece of jagged metal seems to simply materialize in Nicolette's hand. As the initial shock from having two girls suddenly fly at him wears off, the hooded figure reaches into his cloak...

...but he's moved too late, as you've just made it to the roof yourself.

You quickly unsheath your sword and swing at whatever it is that the hooded figure is pulling out of his cloak, sending it flying just in time for Nicolette to ram right into his chest, feet first.

"I suggest you chill the fuck out before I shove this right through your skull," Nicolette says, standing right on top of him.
"A... alright! I give!" the hooded figure says, placing his arms above his head... while still on his back.
"Good. Reinhold?" Nicolette motions for you to come closer.

You ready your sword to cleave the hooded figure's head off, as Nicolette steps off of him.

"Alright, stand the fuck up," Nicolette shouts, holding her makeshift lance to his face. "And if I catch you even PRETENDING to form Script, my buddy here's going to cut your arms right off."
"Y- yeah, I got it! I surrender!" the hooded figure says as he stands up and removes the hood, revealing the form of a kid around your age with short black hair.

"Why were you spying on me?" you ask, putting your sword to his neck.
"Shit, man! Just... calm the fuck down! I was sent to this country to look out for suspicious types, and you caught my eye when you caught that thief the other day!" he says.

Sir Gregory thinks that it's a reaction to Marconetti's efforts to intimidate them into ending their slave trade, but there are other opinions that they're planning on a possible conflict with... another country that you didn't quite get the name of.
>"Oh, he knows that. Father may be old, but his ideal vision of the world still hasn't changed," she replies. "That's why he's still concerning himself with Ancellotta's slave trade instead of just enjoying his old age in peace," she says as she takes a bite out of a turkey leg.

take him to the palace
>>
>>27601174

Ah. Seems like the kind of people we would have to protect Princess from.

And suitable practice targets for our skills.

>>27601013

>what will you do
spit on the ground at the mention of slavers.
>>
>>27601172
My bad. I'm not a native english speaker, so I spontaneously used an incorrect word.
>>
"Because I might just decide to cut your arms off anyways," you say with a grim expression. "Or maybe we can send you to the castle dungeon to rot until you decide to talk."
""Or maybe both," Nicolette joins in."
"...wait, the castle? What the fuck..." the boy seems to be confused.
"Basically, you talk now or you get -made to- talk. We don't torture here, but I'm sure Niklaus has something that'll make you spill..." Nicolette says.
"Y... you're bullshitting me, I bet you -are- from Ancellotta!" the boy screams, sounding more and more desparate. "I'd rather die than..."

Sylvie walks up towards the boy and looks him dead in the eye.

"My name is Sylvie Roseline Granache. Do you know what that means?" Sylvie says, her expression closer to something that you'd expect to see from Sir Vincent.
"Gr... wait, you're a member of the royal family!?" The boy stares at her in disbelief.
"That's right. And my father is Sir Vincent. I'm -certain- that you know of him, yes?" she says, crossing her arms.
"You're- oh fucking hell..."
"So is that proof enough? My friend here is also a member of the royal family," Sylvie says, pointing to Nicolette.
"So are you ready to spill now?" Nicolette asks.

The boy shows an expression of utter defeat, and he slumps down.

"I was sent here by Marconetti, okay? Ancellotta's been building up their military, and the King is worried that they might be preparing for a war with us," the boy explains. "And since we're allied with Granache, we figured that the first thing they'd do is try and undermine you guys before they moved on to us."
"...and that's why you've been in this country, spying on us," you reply.
"Yes! It's because we're worried for YOUR SAFETY, okay!? Is that enough for you!? Can I fucking go now!?"

>what will you do?

Mages need to hurry and invent fantasy twitter so we can call for transport of thisguy.
>>
holy shit Rein knows how to free run?
i mean, i had my suspicion cuz of his past but, damn.
>>
I think king's brother might be the one sending this boy. It seems he was sent to try and protect the country while staying in the shadows. He should be taken to the palace for interrogation regardless though.
>>
>>27601204
Drag the fucker to the king.
>>
>>27601203

Frenchman? Canadian?
>>
>>27601204
"No."
>>
>>27601204
Take him to the palace for interrogation, what else...
>>
>>27601204
ask him his name and let him go.
>>
>>27601204
Bring him back to the castle, can't completely trust him.
>>
>>27601236
this then we drag him off to the town guards to be dragged to the palace
>>
He could be faking it. We either give him to the town guards and resume our day our we end our day and take him back ourselves to the castle.
>>
>>27601204
>"That's for other people to decide now."

>>27601231
Yes.
>>
>>27601204
Lets make him come around with us whilst we finish off our trip then take him to the palace. Or otherwise we could pay a guard to take him to the palace for us.
>>
>>27601204
[x] "No. You're coming to the castle to explain this bullshit to the people who have a right to know."
[x] Let Nicolette and Sylvie continue shopping, we and Melanie will escort our new friend back.
I assume we can hire a carriage, so as to not leave the others stranded?
>>
>>27601204
"You really think that will get you out of here? That easily? Is that how they do things in Marconetti? Having met some of the country's royalty, i doubt that. You're going to the palace to be interrogated.
>>
>>27601204
Drag him to the castle for interrogation, we need to confirm his story.
>>
>>27601204
"Wait, they sent you here to look for suspicious people... but they didn't give you intel on well-known people who you might encounter just walking around town? Or did you just HAPPEN to not recognize three people who are openly employed, and two of which belong to, the royal family?"

My bullshitometer is going bonkers here.
>>
>>27601204

I'm sure his majesty will be touched by your concerns.

>paranoia GET: slaver agents
He's not horribly good at gathering intel, but reasons he might be here could be valid. Still, he's been apprehended and needs be turned in to the guard.
>>
>>27601253
Oh I forgot, at least pick up the stuff from the bakery before we take him.
>>
>>27601204
to the palace he goes. releasing him is not our decision to make.
>>
>>27601210
a man of many mystery
>>27601204
bring him in, only our selves though, THIS doesn't save nicol with her dress party.
>>
>>27601204
This please. You dont just trust the word of a spy. Have Nico arrange a guards and a carriage.
>>27601089
>>27601041
>>
>>27601204
Take him to the guard, then the castle
>>
>>27601204

this is some serious shit, the king has to be informed.

[X] take him to the palace, it is not our place to decide what to do with him.

but don't be to rough on him, just in case.
>>
>>27601255
>>27601273
this. wink at Nicolette.
>>
>>27601204

I'd say this guy needs to get deported with a stern talk to Marconetti about sending people to operate around here without letting us know, but that's up to the king to decide.

What we have here is a self confessed spy from another country. I don't see any option other then cutting our trip short to bring him in.

Alright, that's it for tonight...
...well, I stayed up so long that the sun's up so it's in no way "night..."

In any event, I sleep now. Next thread is in the late afternoon/night.

It was pretty nice to see you guys picking up on stuff, it gives me a bit more confidence that I'm being at least somewhat coherent in writing this.

Anyways, thanks for playing!
