Last time in Mutant Hivemind a bandit army is heading our way under the command of Warlord Mawdra. The zombies are picking up. Ghouls have finally finished their preparations and unleashed their forces. The Monster Mayhem may happen...eventually. even worse the super mutants mobile bases have become increasingly active. I have detected their forces penetrating ruins and zombie hive alike.

News
Huge zombie hordes and ghoulish swarms are fighting it out throughout the swamp. Its such a bloodbath that even deep monsters are trying to get out of the way. Meanwhile Irewin deployed a massive ghoulish horde towards the bandit army that is slowly advancing upon us. Nova Kong meanwhile is busy mowing down zombie hordes that get a little too close for comfort. The ghouls have expanded their operations using old maps they have massively expanded their operations. Meanwhile the our Brood seems to seething with activity...then getting sluggish followed by seething once more. Its rather strange.

Also, from the general position you gave last time it seems they're army is passing by a relatively close hostile bandit camp. Are they in league with Mawdra?

To other users we should note that Burks Base and our allied Bandit camp are immediately threatened.

Ghouls and the Brood are plotting something.

Our bandit forces seem to be preparing to move out somewhere. Their orders are unknown Warlord Slag only stated that apart they will fall so he is planning something. His forces known has the Sick Greens have deployed towards the hostile bandit army.

Meanwhile the witch Luna's forces the Bandits known as the Mooners, Luna Stars, Coven Contracted, Moon Song and the Juija juicers. Have become rather active.

Clora'Zel meanwhile is trying checking on her brood to see if the forced evolution worked according to plan. At least she was until Richard showed up with a plan.

ghouls and brood are planning to great....something new. With that thought in mind the ghouls are going crazy around surrounding ruins. Dens are popping up everywhere and even stranger still I have detected that they are working closely with Brood forces.

Walord Slag is having bandit forces abandon certain bases.

Luna forces are...strange even by bandit standards apparently they have been hosted by a number of bandit groups and are now trying to find a something.

Richards Plan

Ovehaul current mutations using Brood assimilation measures.

Modify/adjust as needed using brood mutagen capability.

Biotech to enhance.

Symbiont research commenced to add even further enhancements.

Screen it all with above methods.

Notes

get a hold of EVE for for A.I.s to enhance spiderborgs. Organic brain is crude and prone to repeat hostlility.

check to see when parts are gonna arrive from EVE facility.

Make sure the have the Marauder depot set up.

Be sure to never be caught alone with Clora'Zel.

Look into underground. Elites should still be around down there. Scouts aught to return soon.

>Warlord Slag meanwhile states the the resulting carnage that the ghouls will unleash on them will alert nearby zombie hordes of a feast. Zombies are amazing at picking up on a meal much less a feast.
I'll take that as an affirmation we do not need to take any direct military action against them and can bide our time for now.

I'm also presuming Slag also must've consolidated the abandoned bases forces to the 2 outlier bases to the west and east, and belives they can hold themselves, seeing as how he chose not to abandon them.

As such
>Basic 1
Have Clora overhaul current mutations using Brood assimilation measures via Richard specifications.
>Basic 2
>>>>>food: Low
Have Dr. Claire asses the food situation and try to patch it up whith whatever means we can
>Basic 3
Use our workers and constructors to begin the foundations of the Marauder depot, keep the combox open for any specifications they desire
>Military
Irewein and the four ghoulish hero's continue to overwatch our Ghoulish buffer against the bandits, while keeping strong connections of communication with outside Ghoul forces attacking the zombies
>Bandit
Presuming Slag deems it feasible and appropriate, use our bandit forces to keep tabs and eyes on the battle and use Slag's intelligence watch for any maneuvers the Enemy Bandit army might attempt on our forces. If our scouting forces were so bloodied from the last encounter with them, have him collect a suitable force. Bring Alexis too and ensure the use of Novakon's bonus.

Clora'Zel has begun overhauling of the current mutations among our ranks. Its going to take a long while.

Dr. Claire states that food problem is largely due to ghoul numbers and bandit forces. Now that we have shifted them around it should alleviate itself soon enough.

Maruader depot under construction along with landing field.

Bandit Army got hit by the ghoul horde hard. They detected them a head of time and tried to retreat to the nearby ghoul base. They got some ground covered but they were not fast enough. Then during the carnage nearby zombie hordes arrived. The survivors made it to the base.

Richard begun working it. Figuring out he is going to need specialized ones for mutations until he can figure one out that would excel for them all. That is going to take a while though and he is going to need details for the overhauling work first.

So we've got them pinned down.

I suggest we let the zombies hole them up. For now. I wouldn't reccomend assaulting their base under these circumstance, but once they zombies either die out or lose interest I do suggest we surround and cut off any reinforcements presuming Slag and Irewin approve.

And Nova King, last of the Owned Heroes. Would you like me to post what I have on friendly/neutral and neutral/hostile heroes?

Nova King (the building sized mass of eyes and tentacles that spews radiation Anon mentioned wanting in thread 10 or 11…Seriously though he’s like the size of a building/mobile base. Consult the Prophet on the very sensitive topic of psionics. We are literally at a lost of a major field to us due to the overwhelming evidence of it's dangers. Can he see a forseeable way to reopen that branch without the inherent dangers that the Great Enemy poses? What does he think of the wastelands psionic properties and a potential laboratory far away?
>Basic 2
Have Claire continue research into the Barbed Vines/omnivorous offensive botanical field. Try to analyze how the swamp flora adapts to its climate, and mimic, replicate, or improve that way.
>Basic 3
Continue construction of the depot
>Military
Irewin to continue general overwatch as the zombies pour on the bandit camps. Try to use them more than our own ghouls and lessen our losses where he can. If he has any indication surrounding them is a poor idea or has alternatives, please note us.

Also, to Didrickson: "Algeraz has not been spotted. We would like to put your hunting skills to the test again. Find him, and hunt him down. Be sure to take caution, you have probably lost the element of surprise. After you killed Mojan it's likely they know you are here now. It's also likely he may be leading an army of his own.

We don't have time to go fetch EVE, that's a 5-turn trip. And your basic 1 doesn't require an action, that's discussion. I like the second part of your military action, but the first isn't much use.

Change bandit to this

>Bandit
Send out a small force under Warlord Slag and Ramona (for dat speed demon bonus) to see how well staffed the bandit bases the army coming for us are staffed now. I want to know the viability of raiding them, accounting for the zombies and stuff.

And Basic 1 to this
>Basic 1
Send out a force to our military base and acquire the power armors there.

Military to a combo
>Military
Send out scouts to see how well the bandit army is faring among this hell. Try and get an estimate on how many turns until they hit us. Send out Alexis with these guys.

with this too

Also, to Didrickson: "Algeraz has not been spotted. We would like to put your hunting skills to the test again. Find him, and hunt him down. Be sure to take caution, you have probably lost the element of surprise. After you killed Mojan it's likely they know you are here now. It's also likely he may be leading an army of his own.

Then I'm cool with it, and I'll roll with it.

>>
>>27682428

It's all in the pastebins, yeah. I'll leave the mutant types in there because it's long. The weapons list isn't terribly long though.

>>27682398

Researchable Weapons
Traitor Assault Rifles (assault rifles with vicious AIs in them that help kill enemies better. Hate humans, okay with us for some reason)
Boomsticks (sonic artillery/personal cannon)
Gatling Railguns
Coilshots (monstrous shotguns on crack)
Cannon Rifles (large rifles or small cannons w/rifling. Keeps strength doesn’t sacrifice accuracy)
Eater Plate (partially consumes projectiles to repair itself)
Butcher Armor (CQC armor, lots of built in weapons, not high-tech)
Aquan Power Armor (designed for hazardous locales, can operate underwater)
Boom Force Fields (explodes when something gets close, fucks with projectiles)
Puncha Shields (enhance user’s melee capabilities)
Psionic Railguns (Crude available, more advanced have had research begun, unable to produce many due to crystal scarcity)

There may be more weapons, and there are a few other kinds of armor, and all that aside I'm not sure we have the tech to manufacture or properly research most of these...but they're there.

So long as we don't jump in head first without probing we should be fine. Also stay away from the real powerful stuff without setting up poper precautions even then I would reconsider. Wasteland psionic properties is only any good near crystals...which draw all sorts of nasties to them naturally. As for a potential laboratory...you should look into the Enclave who specialized in psionic big time. They are somewhere deep in the wastes. Problem is they have all sorts of precautions established to stay safe and hidden. They are know as PsyPsiPi. established by Psy Corp, Psi Research, and Pi United to form a whole powerful force dealing in psionics. The enclave is their United headquarters. "

Work continues on the vine and when we told her to check out swamp flora she became quite stumped. As its amazingly adaptive, mutagenic, AND vicious to boot.

Scouts on enemy bandit forces seems to show that they are holding out quite well and they are quite well staffed. It also seems however that they are preparing for something.

Bandit army is pinned down at a base surrounded by a huge zombie horde lured by the earlier fight.

Depot has finished construction.

Didrikson has vanished stating that he shall check out this 'Algeraz'.

Richard has completed one symbionts that enhance toughness and begun on radiation regeneration. He has meanwhile begun working on something new having hit a blast of inspiraiton.

Witch Luna has indeed returned with her bandit forces in tow. Apparently their planning to make a move outward soon. As such she did a bit of scouting and found good locations for her affiliated forces.

Vizen bandits report that they plan to acquire a Reaver Pack Leader soon. So they are preparing to demolish some bases before moving out somewhere. They don't know where though Madraw is keeping that a secret.

Warlord Slag suggests exploring/scouting/gathering info while the havoc outside is so bad. Not worth risking the manpower as Mawdra learned the hard way. He laughed about that in particular.

>>27682763
That feel when I realize so many heroes equal such pain for me to write.

Prophet of Fate suggests building up our infrastructure for and I quote 'for the sake of the future generations'. I think he is beginning to feel old.

Richard suggests and I quote "SCIENCE".

Clora'Zel suggest evolving stating how we are ignoring one our GREATEST boons we have.

Didrikson is absent thus not available for questioning.

Tabula Rasa suggest looking into crystal research again stating that he has enough to spare for research.

Alexis suggesting taking down the monsters as once the dust settles they are gonna feast upon the carnage and then breed once they run out of food there is going to be a especially bad Monster Mayhem.

Ramona doesn't really care as she was crying while stuffing her face full of moonshine ice cream in her underwear. Muttering something about that damned dick of hunter.

Torg is still absent(your gonna LOVE what he comes back with I swear).

Irewin suggests dealing with the zombie hives. Stating how despite the risk they have largely expelled their forces and are still rather weakened.

Dr. Claire begs the users to stop being so obsessed with breeding. The resulting 'accidents' and usual treatment alone was busy enough. Now with research in a vine she doesn't even really specialize in is pain in the ass.

Ask Dr. Claire if our breeding emphasis will result in long-term risks/damage?

5. Also recommended, but really if we want that to kick off, especially in the face of impending monster mayhem, we MUST find out the power source of the monsters to match them with our own creations.

The silent megaphones originated from silent death grenades.
Problem with grenades is you have to chuck it at them. Shells would be good too. But the thing is, explosives of any sort are a major expenditure of crystals.

With "silent megaphones" or perhaps "death beams", you get the power of a grenade but save the crystal.

Scouts have found an good target for as it had been assualted by Super Mutants and ghouls. So we sent in Nova King with the brood...things were amazingly quite. Never realized just how many of them there were now.

Forces sent out to scout and loot not much was found other then yet more ruins. To many to loot as usual. Seriously the swamp seems to be completely littered in them. And when it wasn't littered in ruins it was old wrecks/carnage.

clora'Zel came up with the a unusual blood mutation that rapidly clotted to prevent bleed out. Its so effective that even with an artery hit you may very well be able to just walk it off.

Clot Blood Mutation unlocked.

Tabula and Prophet went looking into crystal golem research much to our pain and misery they didn't find out much other then the fact they they seemed to a made up of number of differently evolved/interlinked crystals. VERY complex even with a just a shard or looking into a single function.

Ramona has went of to check out the witch.

We'll take whatever they can spare.

Shame they won't accept our offer. It's a simple offer of security and protection, I don't get it just because we don't use our tech to the full. That's a bit of a non sequitur.

You ever wanted to slice a human into a single celled components entirely separated from each other yet they can still feel it? We can do that. That is how good our medical tech is shit even if you died we get just get you a brand new body with memories intact.

All our mutagen data is zombie based biological is the near entirely(actual entirety considering there is no one to enforce stolen copyright/plagiarism) of pre fall biological data and more we kept quite on.

Mutation stabilization? Never had that problem which only occurs if you want rapid evolution. Biological reactors eh we got super cells and organs do those count? Extremely efficient physiologies we got uh well mostly human based and a few odd zombie evolves.

>>27684634

Right. Let's consider our optoins.

What I'm also concerned is their reluctance for our assistance. We've been trying to shower olive branches on them, and yeah I know the whole EVIL thing about our rep but still good business is good business. I can't believe they're letting down an offer of assistance against their ultimate enemy, the zombies.
>>

How good is that. Do you have to save the brain or can a person be completely vaporized?
>>
>>27684686

The zombies aren't their enemies, that's where you've got it wrong. The zombies are their playthings.

I think that focusing specifically on zombie combat weapons is a bit narrow in scope and short-sighted. We're not going to be able to develop a zombie-killer virus with a fraction of their knowledge if they haven't done it (or rather, if they haven't gotten control of the zombies) with ALL of their knowledge.

We need to buy things that are more general in scope, and open up new research strings or remove blockages on old ones.

Any interesting zombie mutant strains? Describe them and we'll see if we're interested.

What do they mean by "Super efficient human physiologies"?

Also, what sort of advanced armor/weapons do they have?

Do they genetically modify their soldiers? How and with/for what?
>>
Rolled 41

>>27685095
You may only choose 1 of those 3 I suggest voting for it.

>>27685095
We have all the zombies strains since the Pre-Fall. Mutants included we only started getting holes in our library in that regard after Fall.

Our human physiologies is the 'human' form perfected. They are not exactly very human any more bit disconcernting we mostly use them for our members who are just that valuable. Advanced armor/weapons well we got riot, police, military, and black ops.We personally mostly use BioHazard series of power armor line combined with Gauss and plasma weaponry. At least we try anyway our facilities are not very good at producing such things. So what we can produce we ensure its only the very best. Limited everything and all.

Our soldiers undergo Hazard treatments so yes we do. As for with we combine our own personal Hazard line with basic super soldier coding that our company had taken part in creating. Too bad we didn't get the newest line that was under the works before the Fall we are stuck Pre Fall super soldier strains. Real shame that.
>>
>>27685187
>You may only choose 1 of those 3 I suggest voting for it.

So basically it's a choice between
>Immortality for any of our heroes
>Super cells, for supercharged beings and bigger creations (maybe that is how the monsters do it?)
>Super organs (and these are any better than cells which can make super organs)
>>
>>27685095
i vote super organs it will bring us closer to functional +sized creatures and kick ass regular sized creatures
>>
>>27685187

Ask Clora and Richard (also Claire I guess) what they'd all prefer.

Are there different sorts of super cells and super organs? Do we have to specify what we want? Or would we get an assortment?
>>
>>27685242
Can't we simply use super cells to make super organs? Or turn organs into super organs?
Which is easier to produce?
>>
>>27685264

I'm going to hold my vote back until we get responses from the heroes.

Ask everyone else if they have preferences too I guess. Our heroes generally have a better idea of what we're doing/should be doing than we do.
>>
>>27685270
since our facilities arent that great i figured organs would be easyer to work with than cells anyway
>>
>>27685270

The cells in super organs are likely to be specified into the functioning for that organ, the super-cells are conversely likely to not be specified into any specific function.

Which of the 3 do YOU and Burke recommend, EDE?
>>
Rolled 95

>>27685264
Super cells we are given stem basics so we can do whatever. Super organs we are given an assortment mostly vastly improved human organs as well as few more...unusual ones that all for sonic attacks and unleashing flamethrowers.

>>27685270
Super cells can only make lesser super organs. Organs can be converted to super organs to degree.

>>27685280
Making me go through all those heroes anon. In any case none of them really care.

>>
>>27685344

Really? Clora and Richard don't have any opinions? Okay.

Would it be possible to reverse Super Organs into super cells?
>>
>>27685294
>The cells in super organs are likely to be specified into the functioning for that organ
which means ready made pre sets
>the super-cells are conversely likely to not be specified into any specific function.
Which means malleability-potentiality

>>27685344
And with an increase in size, which is likely more likely to be a cost effective? A very large creation made of supercells with supercelled organs, or a very large creation made from pure super organs?
>>
>>27684133
While the discussion for trade goes on, I'd like to make suggestions for our next action (seing as how we should still stick to Richards plan before we reverse engneeer any new discoveries.)

>Ovehaul current mutations using Brood assimilation measures.

>Modify/adjust as needed using brood mutagen capability.
Already begun disemination of said mutagens. So check.

>Biotech to enhance.
>Symbiont research commenced to add even further enhancements.

Richard is inventing separate symbionts, not adding abilities onto our existing ones, right? Are they of both mutant and human compatibility? (Did we ever finish the ghoul ones?)

Read that as "Viagra Fly" at first.

What are the Vlaga Fly and the Arar Swarm? How many/much do we have?

Has Richard exhausted his inspired ideas?

Ask Warlord Slag about the lack of mutants and about the new enemy hero unit.

By the way, someone else can be responsible for updating the pastebins from here out.

Well, even if we don't we can always just set up regular nests to act as buffers for when we'll maybe eventually set up ST nests.

Spiders rule the dark tunnels of the earth. It's a fact of nature. We just have to help them.

A lot tho.
>>
>>27686311

Our main bases are already pretty secure from tunneling attack. The first attack we experienced took years to get the tunnels in place for it, and since then we've had massive bombs go off and a massive Mobile Base fuck up the soil around our base.

The military base has sensors to detect tunneling and even more defenses against it than we had.

We have AN ST nest set up...and something like 5 Matriarchs since a few months ago, they might've expanded by now. The spiderborgs are numerous enough that they have an unspecified number of bases. Ones who are hostile towards you.

Vlaga Fly is a flying monster that specializes in diving bombing into others monsters then tearing its way out again. Sorta like a evil cross between a termite and hornet but even more pissed.

Arar swarm is a swarm of tiny monsters that covers their prey amazingly tough. They can even jump like crazy and have limited flight. Mostly likes attaching themselves on monsters as a type of parasite they even go after plants.

Only a few of each.

Richard hasn't yet he just finished the required research he is going to need. He claims it will be amazing.

Warlord Slag doesn't know much about the absence of mutants. The new enemy hero on the other hand he only knows about the faction he leads they are infamous even by Ravager standards. To join your skin its flayed and they stick you in a suit of armor that replaces it. They then tan your old skin and you can use it as a blanket or cloak. They have a bad habit of flaying their foes alive in order to literally dance in their skins. They also love using wigs made from the scalps of their foes. Considering after the initation they are all forever bald and skinless the flaying strikes so deep.

He doesn't know much about their leadership though as they have bad habit of dropping out to go Reaver.
>>

I know that. I was talking about underground. We should also set up underground nests to act as a buffer in the tunnels, just like we have set up above ground nests to act as buffers for above ground forces.

Indeed, I'm quite interested in it too (it's been a lot longer than a year, I think). She was jealous of Clora, and corrupted by The Hunger.

Note that a little while ago we made a very successful attack on a super-mutant force that was en-route to crack open a zombie hive using fleshbeasts. I had told EDE to make their color palette different than ours so the Mutants wouldn't have any reason to think it was us.

It's possible they thought that meant that there are brood forces here that they didn't exterminate and needed to discover so they could. That's been my personal theory on why they haven't come to annihilate us yet.

You are Mora'Zel a broodmother who fled the marsh with the remnants of your forces. You fled out to and under the see. There your developed new leviathans that would allow you travel in the water. Not to mention establishing a few underground hives. Mostly you find yourself drifting on the Seas you admit you never thought that the oceans would be so insanely rich and even dangerous enough to test out new brood strains. Its glorious despite heavy losses. Now however you recently beached some of your forces having handed control to the underground and water forces to your two worthy subordinates. Which shall work rather well with that your gave falls upon the forces known as the Guard. You heard about them and their connection to the Super Mutant guards. You also know they hate broods and their domination extends quite far but most heavily being focused on the coasts with a few bases in the mainland. They are a real pain in the ass with their damned fleets even worse then pirates. Now however you plant to strike them...as soon as you figure out where your at. You can detect a megacity in the distance, a series of other sisters away from that before some rolling plains with villages. All strangely absent of bandit forces. Or you can stick to the coasts with the raiders and patrols. You are sure you can probably find some coastal things or something.

Choose
1 head towards megacity
2 varies cities in the distance
3 rolling plains
4 stick to the coast
5 other?
>>
>>27694133
They might be gathering an unstoppable force before they commit to us.

Consider the flotilla of mobile fortresses they sent against the heart, and they still have their "secret weapon"

Also, can you postulate what reason the mawdra is so interested in us as to call an entire second faction upon us?
>>
>>27694251

Head towards the northern end of the megacity

>>27694277
They don't have their "secret weapon" that was a giant "containment laser" that was presumably lost with their Mobile Fortress.

Sounds to me like they and The Guard have been doing something together...I hope they're not rebooting the massive military base/manufacturing facility on the peninsula.
>>
>>27694417

Then again, if we follow the coast then she'll arrive at the manufacturing complex and shipbuilding yards.

The Guard control the area north of the city.
The Glowz Krew control one of the cities in the distance.
There are two warring cities somewhere in the distance.

I can't advise sending her to the swamp. She'd probably lure Nova King off to her side and we don't know whether she'd be friendly or not. If we sent her through the plains to pick up other sisters then they might serve to mollify her towards killing Clora. They'd also expand her forces, and she probably needs that for a fight with the Super Mutants and The Guard. A large group of brood would draw their attention away from us too.

Voting for heading out towards the "string of sisters" and the rolling plains.

He might have called them in to deal with zombies or ghouls. Beats me really, we're in the dark on this one. Possibly the Super Mutants are coming to cleanse the swamp.

You decide to head of towards the string of sister cities. You thought you might have detected brood presence. So your forces advanced rapidly. It was amazingly quiet and even peaceful. At the sisters you sent out scouts and even some old surviving burrower strains. Cites there are several along with some old rail systems that brought in raw materials from the mountains and then shipped them down to the coast. Cities have a corp remenant or two mostly tribal survivers and even a few bandit gangs in each. Even better you detected some mutant strains...and a few broodmother. Oh this is going to be tricky seperate broods tend not to be friendly unless there is a much stronger presence to keep them in line. From the feels of it you detect at least 3. Most likely more its just where you can feel cloying brood presence. 1 in mountains, 1 in the plains, and another in around the cities. Lovely. Further scanning indicates there are old underground barrens and bunkers littered throughout underground. Mostly inhabited by mutants and surviving security elements. With some tinges of brood scouting. You detect several Guard Caravans stopping by nearby settlements before veering off. Closer examination indicates a few bases at said cities and even outlying settlements in charge of farming outside in the plains. Certainly explains why the broods are keeping low. Even more disheartening none of them seemed to be aligned with each other. They are all on rather equal footing. Which means there is nothing to keep them in line. You are powerful problem is the majority of your forces are still out at sea. And you would have to deal with them on their homeground without alerting the other natives. Bah.

Target outlier plain settlements.
Raid the cities.
converse with nearby broods.
hit the caravans
other?

I'm not sure that's the best idea. If they're not automatically friendly and we don't have enough force to immediately scare them into submission then we'd end up fighting them on their home turf. It's possible that she's based in the city. There was a big psionic presence from the city that looked at us when our hivemind got raped and we heard a voice scream "I SSSEEEEEEE YYOUUUUU" in our heads at that time also.

We should consider getting into contact with the PsiCorp remnants in the wasteland. Though I'm not sure how we would do that.

Also, we should invest into making crystal-based stealth devices. Something like a Somebody Else's Problem field, or like the Vizen's ability to turn off someone's desire to notice them. We could integrate in Psionic Blanking too. It'd be for personal use at first, of course.
