You used to be a waifu.

Now, you have nothing. Well, that's not true. You've got a crippled kitten, and a ditzy side character. Who you may or may not be trying to power up. You're not entirely sure, but you do know one thing-

Konoko has betrayed you. Just as you defeated Anon-kun, finally overthrowing him from the protagonist's role, and letting Konoko take power. She promptly kicked you out. After an indeterminate amount of time, you came to and escaped, following her plot. Now- you face somewhat an impasse. She went to a classy upscale restaurant with, apparently, Leopold. Maybe. You're not sure on the details

It's kinda hard to focus with Anon-kun sobbing in a dumpster right by the restaurant. It's not that he's loud, it's just that his annoying voice carries over to you too well. Riritu seemingly hasn't noticed yet.. Sheesh. Lose one protagonist role, and suddenly he's crying a river.

"Do you have a reservation?" The doorman asks abruptly.
"Ehhh? Ahh, well~" Riritu, unwisely, steps forward, "Mr. Doorman-san," God DAMN it Riritu, "I'm sure we-"
"I'm not talking to you," The doorman looks coldly at Riritu, before smiling over at you again, "I was talking to your friend here. Surely, you're expected?"

You're dressed in your night clothes. You've got a hurt kitten on your head, under your hat. You've just undergone a betrayal. You can feel a real pressing desire to inflict violence on him-

Butttt...You don't really have a role. As far as the narrative is concerned, you're an uncharacter. No fun.

You've only got so much time before you fade entirely-
>Narrative pool 0.32.
Damn it!

>Your move.

>Narrative Health: 47%

50%-35%: Infection. At this rating, and all others below it, all narrative gain is halved. Narrative loss is unaffected. Here, inconsistencies are infectious. Merely knowing about an inconsistency will, after enough time, spread that inconsistency to you. The narrative starts acting to punish those that are inconsistent, and start passively encouraging them to be written out. The narrative no longer seeks to heal these issues, just eject the troublesome characters as soon as possible. Speaking out of character in point of view is entirely possible at this point. It will not be noted, but if the narrative is healed past this point, these inconsistencies might be immediately noticed, and punished. Generally, when a narrative hits this point, it is very hard to bring this back up to health.

...Oh dear.
>>
>>27684504
Tell him we've made an appointment, sure. We need to scope out the situation before we do anything else.

>>27684548
Chill out. We're going to be using that piece before long.
>>
>>27684583
fuuuuu.
>>
>>27684504
Grab anon. Even if he's crying, another warm body could be useful.

Let's pose as temp staff, so we can get close to Konoko without it being too obvious.
>>
We're at the place Deadoko haunts right, and not the restaurant where Konoko is having dinner with maybe-Leopold?
>>
>>27684548
>>27684630
Combine these.
>>
>>27684504
Use our out-of-narrative abilities to slip in. I mean, you can't prevent something that doesn't exist from being somewhere.
>>
>>27684589
So I see bitch finally stabbed us in the back
Welp
if we were able to punch anon in the dick with the fury of the sun off his pedestal of angst and creepy sister thing
we can ruin konoko's day
One little brick at at time
>>
>>27684647
We're still here enough for the doorman to notice us. We need at least some excuse.

>>27684630
This one.
>>
>>27684642
Like I don't know why we would be headed to Konoko's date thing right now, since we don't have a plan.
>>
Alright, a quick suggestion: We can use Anon as a obvious come-back kind in the magic-soccer game. She kicked him out tot he pointhe's a bum, and sports stories love it when that happens.

Also, as we go into the eatery, I do -not- want to interact with Leopold and Konoko if possible - Leopold is a murderous fucknut, and Konoko is kill-happy. I want to watch and approach Leo afterward, if possible.

And, lastly, I think we -need- to go to Deadgirl. The narrative is fucking itself sideways, and we need a way out. The only think we have to focus on right now is survival - I don't know if we can drag the Narrative out of this death spiral - or even if it's worth it.
>>
>>27684655
Punching anon in the dick was the dumbest shit we have done so far, to be fair.

>>27684689
>>27684646
>>27684630
Seconding any of these.
>>
>>27684667
We left for a minute, we're enough of a non-entity we won't be held to scrutiny and can operate from behind the scenes, after all, you don't notice the crowd acting in a VN unless you're told.
>>
>>27684683
We have a knife, that was our plan.

I don't like this plan.
>>
>>27684708
But he's already noticed us. We'll just tell him we're temporary staff and he'll probably just accept it. Again, grab anon first because we need all the allies we can get.
>>
>>27684689
OH MY GOD
I have an idea
a really, reaaaally stupid idea
find a way to make this shit more grimdark than 40k
not only will this allow anon to keep his hobo beard
but it would piss of konoko
and raise her chance of dieing via some disease many fold
and our chances of a demon using our skull as a jock strap
>>
>>27684689
If we want to survive, we need a whopping 4 narrative points.

Which I wish we knew earlier.
>>
>>27684642
No, no, you're outside the restaurant.

Deadoko's plot hole is relatively near by though.

>>27684647
You're not quite an uncharacter like Deadoko yet- but you're fading quick.

>>27684683
Though the last thread got a little disorganized, that seemed to be the plan back then-

But anyway, seems that there is a bloc that wants to go for Anon, so, writing.
>>
>>27684655
If you're suggesting bringing back the dead sister thing I -think- it's too late. We need a foothold, some way we can stay in the game and not bleed out narrative. We can maybe do this later, but I'd rather use Deadoko to get back in.
>>
>>27684737
What? No. That's a terrible idea.
>>
>>27684729
Grab Anon and do what?

I was under the assumption that we were heading to Deadoko to see about her bargain, I have no idea what we're trying to accomplish right now.
>>
>>27684746
Maybe we'll visit her after we've figured out what's going on.
>>
>>27684747
which I admitted too
but I'd find it amusing
>>
>>27684762
We're going to go inside and survey the situation at least. We need to get some kind of mojo back too if we can, but gathering info comes first. We can't form a plan blind.
>>
>>27684743
Are we enough of a character to interact, but enough of a non-character we could basically double as background characters like [Classmate]?
>>
>>27684737
>more grimdark then 40k
>not outright murdering konoko for being a traitorous bitch and sacrificing her to make yourself the protagonist, or at least the badguy at the end
we need to utterly destroy the story to the point of hopeless grimderpness, then go hyper evil as fuck.
>>
>>27684798
No, we need to first get a hold on the situation.
>>
>>27684762
Yeah, drag Anon to the Plothole and dump him there is what we need to do. Konoko fucked the narrative, we just need power to stay alive during this hellscape.

I hope we meet her afterwards so we can slap her and teach her the -right- way to do this. Damn shortsighted bitch.
>>
>>27684729

>>27684825
What no, I'm all for using him, but it just doesn't seem like the right time.

Like I'm not sure if him making a scene can work for us.
>>
You know what? Konoko doesn't know about Leo and his murderous Yan-yan shit. We're at -2. She could be getting murdered pretty soon if we don't interfere...which could fuck the narrative up worse.
>>
>>27684865
We could drop him in the plothole, or just leave him out of sight. I'd like to be able to find him easily later, so that's why fetching him now might be a good idea.

Konoko thinks he's an NPC.

Leopold is probably going to murder her because he's yandere for us. I think.

What are we going to be using Anon for? If you have a sensible plan to use him in, I'm all for it, but just getting him for no reason is a shitty idea.

>>27684865
I don't think we want him making a scene. Just stay hidden and observe.

>>27684888

>>
>>27684913

I don't care about her dying, but I think losing a protagonist without a viable replacement would break the story even more than it is now.

>>27684921
>I think he might prove to be a silver bullet for us later
Then we should go find him later. We have narrative points for that, and if we find him now we need to convince him to come with us and stay somewhere.

>>27684899
We drove Quest Master to ragequit if that count.

Other than that certain quest offer numerous "bad ends" but also "save points" to restore from such fuckup.

I don't think it will be hard to convince him to stay put. He's hanging around a dumpster feeling sorry for himself. Proactive is not the word I would use to describe him at the moment.

"Ehhh, an appointment...Heh, well of course I have one! Oh! I forgot something, be right back!" You turn on your heel and grab Riritu by the wrist, dragging her away before she does something silly. The doorman shrugs, and goes back to being a background character.

"Mik-Miko-chan! What are you doing? Weren't we going to save Konoko-chan?" She follows you confused as you drag her past Anon. You watch her from the corner of your eye. No, she doesn't seem aware of Anon. This is weird. The dude's bawling, and as far as you knew, was the center of Riritu's world earlier. Well, you'll leave her to the side. You push her to a convenient park bench.

"Eh, heheh, ahhh, please excuse me, Riritu-chan? I, ah, I need to...Get cat food! Just wait here, okay?" Riritu raises an eyebrow at that.

>Foreshadowing! 0.02 discount to changing Riritu's character.

What? You didn't want to do that. Nonetheless, Riritu puts on a coy expression and crosses her legs, "Okay, Miko-chan, I'll wait."

Urgh. Everything's going to Hell in a merry hand basket. You had stomped over here to- to kill Konoko? The World Alignment was weak, but not THAT weak. Okay, think, what could you do with Anon-

>Narrative pool 0.31.

The moment you feel that ping, your body floods with the closest thing you have to adrenaline. Riritu opens her mouth to say something, but it's hard to hear her over the shattering pavement as you sprint for the alley.

You round the corner, the sidewalk reduced to gravel, your shoes smoking, grabbing on to a corner of the alley. The alley way repels most of the dark- you see glimmers of garbage, and discarded needles, torn dolls and broken bottles, and two watery eyes glancing up to you. In the dark, it's hard to recognize Anon-kun. Scratch that, it's totally easy. Aside from the ridiculous beard he grew, and flannel he threw on over his regular clothes, he's basically the same. Lazy.

"M-Miko-chan?" His voice.

>Unknown attempting to shift up World Alignment. Contest?
>Your move.
>>
>>27684921

Guys, am I missing something here?

It's like...Shouldn't we try and get the narrative to focus around him again?

Because you see, we can spin this. In EVERY story, ever, there's a part where the hero is at his lowest point. Where everything has gone to shit, basically, and he wanders off to sulk, brood, or train.

After that, he inevitably comes back more awesome than before, as a kind of invincible Zen master with new abilities or a new outlook on life.

(And obviously, the girl who nursed him back to health and believed in him is the love interest, especially if the first one is terrible.)

Shouldn't we roll with that instead? I mean, we still win as long as we hit the magic number four.
>>
>>27684991
Right now, an improved world alignment can only help us. Let's let it happen.

>>
>>27684991

Yes, contest. We need to take Deadoko's point-rock, and it will be harder to bring it back down twice than keep it down once and then take it down once more.

>>27685050
We have deadoko and leopald as possible leads on point pools that don't require Anon. Let's at least explore those first.

Protagonist death is bad news. The narrative cohesion will first take a serious hit, then start to fall until another, consistent protagonist takes the mantle.

Protagonist comes to those that have the willingness to take the role, and the narrative's consent.

Or brute force. If one is willing to spend the points (A lot of points) they can force the narrative to focus on them. Usually this can only be done when near the last protagonist, or their corpse. Generally, point of view shifts require face to face high tension dramatics.

Anyway, wanting to let the contest up happen is what's going on at the moment, so writing with that. After a quick roll.

The narrative that's basically enslaved us to its whims? That made us pander to Anon? That's currently KILLING US? That narrative?

>>27685231
Deal with it. I'm not having any more dumbass pride screwing us over. anon was easy pay and easy to please.
>>
>>27685244
The Narrative that will leave us a broken and dead should we fuck with it too much.
>>
>>27685216
I assume that's the tragic love story, with us being a beggared young girl, and him taking us in. Cue us trying to move from -stand in daughter- to -bueatiful woman- plot.

>>27685197
So we could theoretically turn this into a survival based plot with us as the M/C by killing Konoko
Like is already happening, we aren't being told to give the story tension

The narrative that we will die with when he kills it. Fuck. Him.

It's like everyone forgot the hate for him as soon as Konoko took over. /tg/ has the memory of a goldfish.
>>
>>27685281
Konoko has proven worse in every way in just 5 minutes.
>>
>>27685281
No, it 's that they realized how shortsighted and impatient kicking him out was.

He wasn't honestly that big a problem, he was just kind of annoying.

Also if you read the rules, you'd realize that we need to multiply our current amount of points eightfold if we want to survive this story, and the narrative health as a whole isn't looking too good.
>>
>>27685267
He seems to have gotten out from the last narrative intact.
>>
>>27685315
And he probably had a LOT more points than we do now.

Except we didn't. At best we have fragmented, confused glimpses. He's not to be counted on. And honestly, he's more creepy than Anon ever was.

If we must bring Anon back, we should just start off with "So. Best Girl, huh?"

Not only that but apparently Anon-kun fucked us over in a past life too.

What about deadoko? She offered us some sort of power source, and we're only -1 off the correct WA.

Konoko also isn't going to stop trying to write us off if we make Anon protag again.

I keep seeing this. When did we hear about it?

Okay guys, let's get serious here and figure out what we're doing.

What are our immediate goals? Like what do we want to do right now, and how do we want to do them?

Then short term goals? What do we wish to accomplish in the near future?

Then long term goals? What is our end game?

>>27685417
To defeat the huns.

Right now we get inside and get more information. We have no other info to act on at the moment, so we can't just run off and try to find a tap. We have enough of a buffer right now to do this.

Hm. Thought you had less than that. And more importantly, competition. Probably Konoko and Leopold, but you can't be sure. Whatever. Focus on the now. Man, Anon can not keep his eye color straight. In this light, violet and black irises look back. He tenses, then looks away.

"I-I'm sorry, I'll go-" He turns away. Oh this passive aggressive little- you grit your teeth, and shout after him.
"Anon, wait!"

He pauses. Then hangs his head, "Why...Why did you follow me?"
Because the person I thought was my friend turned out to be a total backstabbing bitch, "A-Anon, I was worried-"
"Why!" He shouts, rounding on you, "Why did you look for me? Everything I touch, I HURT! I cause PAIN just by living! I hurt you! I hurt Konoko! I hurt- I hurt-" He squeezes his eyes shut, rounds on a wall, punching it, "I HURT MY CUTE LITTLE SISTER!"

Brick and powder fly past his fist as he starts screaming. You roll your eyes. Well, apparently he still has points enough for some powers. Lucky little shit. Maybe he still has a role in the story.

"I...I hurt everyone...I thought, I thought if I was strong, I could-" Blah blah blah, my life is woe. You're a little impatient right now with this shit.

"That's not true, Anon-kun!" You shout, stepping forward, clapping a hand to your breast, "That's not true at all!"

Anon looks up, beard caked in tears and brick powder, "M-M-Miko-chan?"
"When we first met, what happened?"
"I, I hurt those guys you were-"
"No! You saved my life, Anon-kun! I could have been a weapon, a tool- and though my memories are completely empty and rather flexible on whatever they could be filled up with - I know one thing, Anon-kun!" You step forward, fist clenched "At that moment- you helped me."

Anon stares at you, unbelieving. Then his face crumples, and he cries all over again. Good lord, he keeps freaking CRYING-

Thank you

Immediate Goals: find a way to stop bleeding Narrative integrity, which means connecting to a viewpoint character, and quick.

Short Term: Get Deadnoko back via narrative control rather then tearing the Narrative - Plan B.
Find a way to deal with Soon-to-be-Deadnoko. Make her a Waifu again, just off her, just disable her from the setting.
Get enough Waifu points to get autonomy.

Long Term: Survive.

Like with Deadoko, Anon still has some memories of her as his beloved deceased Imouto. We should try to convince her to use that, and become Anon's spirit guide, to help us make him stop sucking so hard.

With Riritu, she could be useful if we want to at least moonlight as an antagonist, which may provide us some income until Anon's ready.

You blink, breathing.

That wasn't you- well, it's your opportunity, your chance. But that wasn't fucking something that you're used to. You shiver- it almost feels like something was underneath your fingernails- it sends a tingle up and down your very bones.

But you know the chance was there.

"What the fuck," You can't help but say it, whisper it. You're suddenly, very VERY aware of the knife up your sleeve.

"Miko-chan?" Anon blinks, leaning forward, "Are you alright?"

He's not the protagonist. But he used to be. There's something you could, you could filet out of him- you feel a little sick. You quash it down, left over feelings from the beginning maybe? But, but god. That wasn't a normal opportunity. Wasn't part of the narrative.

You glance back. The street suddenly seems a lot darker. And the alley way seems a lot more defined. Something is watching.

The knife is cold still, against your skin. You must have had it pressed against your skin for a while now. It should be warm.

"Miko-chan?" Anon shifts forward a little closer, "I...Miko-chan, are you alright?"
"Anon..." You whisper. Sometimes, the old ways are best. You look away, bite your lip. Anon, predictably takes the bait.
"M-Miko-chan? Are you alri-"
"I'm just SICKENED BY THOSE AWFUL WORDS DRIBBLING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!" You shout, reeling around and giving him a very satisfying slap that's more wrist than fingers. He shouts in surprise and spins comically, falling back in to the dumpster. He looks up in surprise, opens his mouth, but before he can, you step forward, pointing at him.

"You hear me? You feel that? You saved me! But you couldn't pay attention to that?"
"Miko-chan, your words are so harsh-"
"I'm harsh? I'm nothing compared to you!" You lean in close, enjoying a chance to vent your anger even if you have to funnel it through an inspirational hazing, "You ACCEPT that you hurt everyone around you?"
"...It seems my only faAAGGH!" You give him another slap upside the head. Ow, bristly beard and thick skull conspire to make your hand sore. You flap your hand's pain away. Maintaining your speech's gravitas is hard after that.

"Don't finish that word, Anon-kun!"
"What, fate? OW!" You slap him with your other hand, "Th-this is too much!"
"It's nothing compared to what you did to me, Anon-kun!" You turn away, squeezing your eyes shut, "After, after I trusted you-"
"I-I am sorry for that-"
"No you're not!" You round him, raising a hand for chopping, and Anon winces again, "You say such things as 'ah, what a dreadful fate,' or 'must it truly be my destiny to hurt those around me,' or things like that to duck out of responsibility isn't that true?"
"What? That's no- OW! Stop hitting me!" Okay, that one was primarily for your own pleasure. You conceal your smirk, by looking away, keeping your eyes peeled.

Not a dark presence. Nothing in narrative. Konoko?

What betrayal?

Even if he is sentient, there's no way of knowing that we did anything. To everyone but Konoko and us, we're the pure victim here, and if anything Anon betrayed us.

Hm. Forget about it. You point, at Anon.
"There is no such thing as destiny, Anon-kun! There is no fate, but that which we make with our hands! Even if it takes ten million years, an ant could tear down the great wall of China!" Anon stares at you, in disbelief. Before you give him a chance to question your ant hypothesis, you point out in the street, "If you truly think that you can do nothing against fate, against destiny, then why did you save me back then?"
"Be-because I-"
"You didn't think it was insane?" You lean in, "Going to fight people who might have had knives, or guns, for someone you didn't know? Why didn't you call the cops? Why didn't you just leave me to my fate?"

Anon's hooked now. Yeah, you figured he'd like the part where he gets praised. You smile.

"Because, Anon-kun, you knew that you couldn't leave me to my fate! That fate- fate could be beaten! Anon- you saved me from my destiny," You give a beatific smile at that, "You can do it for yourself."

"M-Miko-ch-ch-chaaaan!" He lunges in for a hug, crying still. He is an endless river of tears. You give a quick chop directly to his nose, arresting his forward motion. You feel something crumple beneath your hand, and he falls to his knees, rubbing his nose furiously.
"Still haven't forgiven you for the ki binge."
"You're so cruel, Miko-chan."
"So!" You glance around, "You will fight?"
He nods, rising to his feet, "Thank you, Miko-chan! I know now, that my dark gifts are not a curse, they're a blessing, and I can turn them to-" He doesn't say anything as you smack him over the head.

"No dark powers," You tuck your hands in to your sleeves and walk away. At this rate, you have to get some sort of bludgeoning tool, fuck your hands hurt.
"Wha-whaaaa? What about destiny and-"
"It means you must choose not to follow the darkness, Anon-kun!"
"Bu-"
"No buts! This happened because-" Aaand there's the cue. Your stomach growls. You glance down, then glance up at Anon, "Eh, heheh. Mind if we eat?"
>>
You jerk your head over when you leave the alley, Anon shuffling forward. He apparently had tried to come to the restaurant earlier, but was foiled. Riritu glances between you and Anon-kun- then makes sure to stay six or seven steps behind you. Sheesh, when'd she get tactful? You glance at Anon. The snot and tears in his beard weren't helping, you supposed. Eh, whatever.

The doorman favors you with a smile- but looks rather askance at Anon-kun's presence, "Hey, I thought I told you to stay away last time, bum. There's no way anyone inside wants you."

You see Anon deflate. What a baby. He shoves his hands in his pockets, and kicks at the ground, "I-I'm not a bum. I just-"
"Yeah, you just look and smell like one! Beat it!"
Anon-kun looks to you. Oh god, he's doing the puppy dog eyes. Fuck's sake. Riritu stays quiet behind him, looking at you.

Okay, we're getting somewhere. Narratives love to watch those!

>Or you fade away.
Nope. Nopenopenopenopenope.

We must become Mr. Bones. The ride shall never end.
>>
>>27686089

There's still time for that last line:

"Just remember, Anon, the worst men are those who stop trying."
>>
>>27686100
What do you do after you read a book?
The previous story is the real one, this one is a daydream by someone wondering 'what if?"
>>
>>27686089
Tell him that anon's going to clean up in the restroom. Try to produce some kind of clothing for him.
>>
>>27686089
"Hey, ease you're jets 「Tough Guy」, he's with me." Flex our gloves and walk in. Kuudere Badass modo.

Konoko, you fool, you're not the Protagonist, you're the antagonist!
>>
>>27686089
Give our best moe-moe act and try to get him to understand that Anon is our friend.
>>
>>27686112
>How much does it take to go from soul rape to dressing someone up in your dead sisters clothes and actual raping them?
It distresses me how plausible this is.

>>27686160
Oh god, its that episode of the Twilight Zone where the dream people beg the dreamer to not wake up.

And we're the dream people.
>>
>>27686089

Also, time for foreshadowing:

"You know, you remind me of one of the girls back in the labs. She always kicked herself when she was down. She was so kind, and so wonderful. I can still remember her <insert Konoko's description here>."
>>
>>27686170
That should be easy.

I forgot to fit this in last post, but for the disguise plan, you and Riritu can sneak in with only 0.01 points to manifest uniforms to pretend to be temp workers. 0.02 if you want to make them cute.

Anon though, still sticks out like a sore thumb. He'll be a separate 0.05 points if you want to disguise him. Though, you do have pull, so you can walk him in with out the points- but not getting noticed by Konoko will be a worry of yours.
>>
>>27686112
"push him along"

Huh, and the plans of killing him to get the protag title.

That does not make waifu-kin so innocent
>>
>>27686200
Yep.
Or that one Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei episode if you've seen. You know the one, where the try and kill the dreamer to make the dream eternal.
>>
>>27686203
This is an incredibly dick move.

Do it.
>>
>>27686213
Lets go cute..and Anon doesn't need to be hidden for this, Actually, I think it's better if he doesn't. We can gauge everyone's reaction while being sneaky.

>>27686203

>>
>>27686220

Deadnoko.
>>
At any rate, disguising and entering. Writing.

>>27685817
Hah, nearly missed this. Saved.
>>
>>27686260

I was the poster. I had intended to be speaking of Deadoko here, but feel free to elaborate upon how it works into evil if we are indeed talking about Konoko. Maybe we can have a vote on who tg is pulling for for this one.
>>
>>27686213
We have some points. We'll make some cute uniforms.

How do we feel about disguising anon? Or should we just make him less offensive?
>>
I..actually like slapsticky, kind of discouraged anon. Much better than tryhard anon
>>
>>27686322
Ask Anon where the clothes he was wearing an hour ago went.
>>
>>27686315

Again, I'm pushing for tearing Anon down to build him back up. That needs to start here. We are his rock and foundation. Convincing him that he can always keep going so long as he believes in himself is the way to make him ours, and more to the point make him tenacious enough to follow us into hell. We need to encourage him to walk down the road of a good man for that.
>>
>>27686089
>Wait, when'd you become the leader?

This seems important somehow.
>>
>>27686341
We need to get some treats for him. Train him like a dog.

Treat him like one too.
>>
>>27686361
This, this. Anon needs to abandon his narcissistic ego first.
>>
>>27686361
We're also a wispy non-character, who, If this was a game, would have a grayed-out shape for a CG.
>>
>>27686381
He'll be one of those goofy, silly protagonists. Still heroic, but unserious.
>>
>>27686363
It is. We -are- the good guys. What did Konoko do? Kick out Anon and try to lock us up. That isn't a 'Good' act. We have a good guy posse, she's a loner. We're the Protagonist, she's the Antagonist. It's almost classic.
>>
>>27686322
>We have some points
We have the points for now. We haven't fit ourselves into the Narrative yet, so presumably we're still constantly leaking Narrative Points.
>>
>>27686381
We are not a member of the Anit-Order CRUCIFIX. We're not doing the Dog Jokes, they've -already- been driven into the ground, calcified, and turned into the greatest soccer players evolution has ever seen.

True, but you gotta spend some to get some. The info we gather here could get us a real lead.

>>
>>27686452
Don't worry, we're Bulma.

Dragonball Bulma.
>>
>>27686452
Konoko is Chi-Chi.
>>
>>27686395

No, we are Kamina, and we have in our power right now the ability to build a better narrative as a leader of men.
>>
>>27686472
When we're done with her, she'll wish she was Yamcha.
>>
>>27686525
Are you an idiot?

Kamina is the last person we want to be.

That's why I've been against taking a direct coaching role.
>>
>>27686529
Nah, I can't be too mad at her.

I'm pretty sure she learned her behavior from us, and we've been a shitty teacher.

Ideally I'd like to see her get out of this story with sufficient points to survive and learn some good lessons.

Though messing with her in the meantime might be kind of fun.
>>
Lets get a minor disguise for Anon. We don't know what's going on and we don't want to risk him just yet.
>>
Y'know, if Waifu Quest was an anime, it'd probably go something like this:
>OP animation heavily features Miko/Naya, and masks. She smiles a lot, acts all cute. OP song is probably something along the lines of Yobanashi Decieve (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-ah2yL0A20) (woo foreshadowing for the tweest)
>First three episodes feature Anon as the main character, showing how things are as the narrative sees them
>Miko/Naya occasionally breaks character onscreen, looking disgusted at Anon behind his back etc. Always background stuff that isn't given much attention.
>Suddenly ends with him being deposed as the main character, though the audience isn't yet aware of meta elements such as that
>Cuts to a bit later, with Konoko opening the door for Leo
>Cue credits
>Next episode preview is us swearing that we're going to murder Konoko while tied up in the basement.
>Next episode's OP is a little different - Miko/Naya's expressions are a lot more scheming and uncute.
>Story starts at the beginning again - but following us instead of Anon, with meta elements on full display.
And so /a/ went completely bugfuck insane.
>>
>>27686540

Not really an idiot, per say. The point here is that we need to be something more than a thorn in this guy's side. We need to become important to him, but important in more than a "let's see the goods" kind of way. I am not suggesting that we die for him, but we do need him to be prepared to die for us.
>>
>>27686459
well, dragonball bulma, except we're the one who stays calm while anon freaks out

Then we direct him to "Why don't you just explode it with your powers?'
And laughtracks are played
>>
>>27686570
Are you serious? She bumped out the little sister character and took her name before we popped into this story. She's been plotting this shit since day one, and we helped her accelerate it.
>>
>>27686600
Then say what you mean instead of comparing us to a character who solely existed in the Narrative to motivate and empower the MC with his death.
>>
>>27686617
No, she didn't kill Deadnoko. That was Leo. She -was- a murderous nutcase before and I think we did accelerate her problems, but she didn't kill no Little Sister.
>>
>>27686599
I'd actually want to see that kind of anime.
>>
"Ahhh, c'mon, he's not so bad, sides, I pity the poor guy."
"Not bad, huh..." The doorman thinks, glancing you and Riritu over.
"I get bad when I'm angry," Anon growls in a threatening manner. You give him a side kick to the knee, sending him down with a yelp. This is kinda fun. Ugh, when the narrative comes back in force though, it's probably going to dick you over. Enjoy it while you can.

"Aside from that-" You give a twirl, putting out a hand, grabbing a mop from thin air, and letting it rest on your shoulder. Sure enough, you feel the uniform settle on you, cinched in tight to show every curve- modest tennis shoes, knee high socks, a skirt juuuust bordering the edge of professionalism, a nice little apron, buttoned up shirt, and a nice half jacket. A glance at Riritu shows that she went straight for french maid and feather duster. Damn it Riritu, this isn't a hotel. Agh, and she has the perfect figure for it! Christ, you could lose a school bus in that cleavage- you rapidly regain your focus and focus back on the doorman, and giggle.

Predictably, he melts a little.

"Charlene called in sick, so we need the extra hand anyway- can we take him?" Anon staggers to his feet cursing and then catches sight of Riritu. He swallows hard.

"Well- that'd be real irregular, seeing as usually employees need to be vetted and, paying under the table is highly illegal, and entirely unnecessary for a high class joint like this," The doorman looks you up and down, and blushes, "But, what the Hell. Have at it."
"Thanks<3! I'll make sure to remember-" Riritu starts as she walks past, but the doorman's look ends her smiles rapidly.

"Get going, I'm not going to be patient forever!" He barks. Moody moody. The three of you hustle inside, "And take the left! Don't be running around this classy place with your disrespectable garb in sight!"

"Yeah yeah yeah," You enter. God it smells good. Shit, you ARE hungry. Anon looks a little baffled.
>>
>>27686617
That was Leopold actually, and she admits that she never would have thought of stealing the spotlight without us.

She still needs to die though.

>>27686540
We're not Kamina.

We're Bright motherfucking Noah.
>>
"I thought we were going to-"
"Shush," You squint, looking across the sea of faces- no one on this level. You see a great deal of tables and chairs, glittering with candles and crystal. A few suspicious looking people are here though- a guy clearly with spiky hair from the Yakuza judging from his tacky jewelry, a few nervous guys with long coats clearly set up for an ineffective ambush, a distraught couple arguing. Konoko might like it refined, but the lowered world alignment had left its mark.

At the center, an implausibly delicate looking elevator of glass labeled 'VIP.' Goons lounged by it. You're guessing they wouldn't be as easily taken care of as the doorman.

"So I need a table for 3- the best place you got in the house-"
"I'm sorry, monsieur, but how did you get in here?"

Crap. You glance over, and see Anon leaning over the maitre'd puffing up in annoyance.
"What? Don't make meowowowow-"
"What are you DOING?" You hiss in to Anon's ear that you are tugging him away with. You glance up- yeah, to your left, a service entrance. To the kitchens. They couldn't send waiters through the elevator, there had to be a better way-
"I wanted to, ow, apologize," Anon whimpers, "And, uh, y'know. I saw Konoko coming in here. With a fancy guy. I...I just wanted to make sure-"
"Ara ara~" You hear. Some huge plutocrat with a vast paunch and top hat was being accosted by Riritu, "Is that an elder sign? I've never seen one inlaid with gold before-"
"I beg your pardon?" The fat man stammers nervously, "I, elder sign? I haven't the foggiest-"
"Riritu!" You grab her, dragging her away by her ear, "I- I am so sorry sir, I didn't mean to-"

Then it strikes you. You haven't left the entrance hall. You glance around in horror at all the pompous sorts, the walking cliches, the stacked pyramids of glasses, the disapproving matrons.

She'd set up a slapstick minefield perfect for these morons.

>Test needed to move with stealth or subtlety to not warn Konoko of your coming.
>Your move.
>>
>>27686650

Noted, but my point stands. We need to establish an emotional connection with Anon, at least enough to get him to do something stupid for us in a pinch. I am in no way wanting a new waifu association, unless HE is OUR waifu. Think Piccolo.

"No, no, no!" Anon and Riritu start whining as you drag them for the kitchens, "We are going to be quiet, and courteous, and GOOD PEOPLE."
"But, but he just," You twist Anon's ear to shut him up, but while doing so, Riritu slips away- forcing you to unveil your secret weapon!
"Stop her!" Your kitten yowls, leaping from your hat- on one good leg- and flops out of your hat, slapping on the floor. Cringer! You gasp, and reach out for him with both hands. Then realize you let go of Anon. You glance up- to see him standing still. Looking away, sulking. Riritu walks over to you, hands over her mouth.

"Cringer..."

Ah, the good 'ol injured kitten trick. You wince, as you scoop up Cringer, and place him back under your hat, quietly. Riritu approaches, meek and demure, blushing, "I didn't realize you-"
"Haha, don't, don't mind me," Get a grip, get a grip, just a little runaway metaphor, "I, well- look, can we be quiet, please? I..." You speak the last part through your teeth, "Really don't want to ruin Konoko's dinner."

Anon and Riritu share surprised glances. And enlightenment dawns.
"You're right! We don't want to ruin her big chance!"
"How could she forgive me if I blundered again? God, I'm so stupid!"

Your right eye keeps going dark, and it takes you a moment to realize that's your eyelids spasms. You laugh, clap your hands togethre, "Hahahaha, yeah! So, let's go. QUIETLY."
"Of course, Miko-chan!" Riritu strokes you with the back of her hand as she passes. She wasn't hitting on you for at least two whole scenes, new record.

The pair of you enter the kitchen, busy work, clanging, hissing stews. This is actually really detailed. Alarm bells ring in your head, and you glance around. Nothing here at the moment. As a trio, you wade through, pretending to have somewhere to go. Sure enough, at the other end of the kitchen, you see stairs, and a constant stream of dishes moving back and forth by waiters. For some reason, this place was detailed, why-

One idea.

Anytime we act negative, evil, cruel, it's our side effect of whatever was done to us at the lab, some of the previous threads said we could claim to be Lucifer or an angel or a clone of something godlike and use that as part of the plot. We don't have to do any of the above seriously though we just have to give enough vague foreshadowing for the narrative(audience) to think us that we could be any of the above but we have to make it look legitimate enough for Konoko to not write it out as us being stupid and ditzy nuts... like we did with our now Succubus lacky.

It'll also give us enough foreshadowing points to threaten mutually assured destruction of the plot if we get offed.

This isn't a roll or anything just an idea.

"Hey, uh, Miko-chan?" Anon breaks your concentration, whispering in your ear.
"Not right now," You see the culinary staff glancing at your group askance.
"I was thinking- I could go as a waiter, y'know?" Anon's smile is well hidden in his beard. Bounced back from depression quick, "So, uh, I wonder if I could borrow your knife."

What.

"W-w-what? Haha, Anon-kun, why-" How did he know, how did he know, HOW?
"I need it for this?" Anon waves at his face fungus, "Waiters don't have beards."
"How will you get a uniform."
"Leave that to me!" Anon winks, "I can't rely on the Dark Arts any more, I'll find a way!"

Right. You consider the stairs. In theory- he could be a good distraction. Anon blustering about like a fool could wreck Konoko's plans, allow you to peel off Leopold- and you wouldn't have to be spotted.

"We're in a kitchen, why does it have to be- actually, how did you know about my knife anyway?"
Anon gets a smug look, "Your ki field was messed up."

That's. Bull. Shit. Nonetheless, you put on an awestruck look, "Wow, Anon, you're pretty smart," How did he know? How did he know?

"Yeah, I'm not bad- but, it has to be your knife."
"Why."
"It's unhygienic. And stealing," Anon sniffs, "I don't want to be a thief."

You narrow your eyes. Glance to Riritu. She looks a little uncomprehending for a moment, before she perks up, and approaches a chef, "Oh, hello <3! I'm so sorry, but me and my friends, we need to take this-" She slides up to the Chef, who rapidly turns as red as the apple he's peeling. Riritu puts on a sad face, "I...I hope that's okay...?" Her hand slides down his arm, as she leans over his back.

"Pe-perfectly fine!" God damn slutty remora. Her fingers dance over the chef's hand, grabbing the hilt of his long knife- and you see her knuckles whiten on it, as she looks down- and her eyes change color to red. A smile creeps up her mouth, drawing the knife away from the chef's hands-

Nope, nope, you don't have time for this. You step forward, forcibly disentangling the two, and grabbing the knife, "Thank you so much for this! Sorry for the trouble. C'mon, Riritu," You give her a light jab in the shoulder. She blinks, and her eyes are blue again.

>Foreshadowing! 0.03 discount to changing Riritu's character.

The bathroom is roomy, austere, clinical. Surprisingly not dingy. Guess Konoko's desire for high class beat out the world alignment. Anon's sitting on the corner, sweating noticeably.
"Er, you sure I can't-"
"Shush," You don't think you've done this before. The tap squeaks as you shut the faucet, leaving a nice, warm sink full of water, "Right now, I don't trust you with a knife."
"Do you think I trust you?" Anon mutters, loudly. You raise an eyebrow. He winces, then sighs, "Okay, okay."

You stand aside, and he dips in what beard he can in to the water, splashing the rest. He swallows as you draw closer with the kitchen knife. You grab on to one side of his head- and get a very familiar feeling. Quick slash, retract, pull. Something like that. Oh great, he's squeezing his god damn eyes shut. Don't quiver-

"Uh- Miko-chan? I counted two thousand, seven hundred and thirty three, can I-"
"Are you sure? Count again, Riritu-chan!" You shout in annoyance. You told Riritu to count the tiles she could see from a bathroom stall. Being a baby sitter was not something you looked forward to.

"Y'know, Mik-"
"You shouldn't talk while I'm shaving you, Anon-kun," You murmur. The cheek was kind of easy. You carefully move the blade, slicing off the hair you could reach, "I don't want to slip."
"...Remember what you said about the ant and the wall of China?"
"Anon-" You grumble. One side down, you go to the other. God, his neck is going to be the worst. You hide a smirk at the thought.
"Well, why would the ant work down the wall?"

What. You roll your eyes. No wonder why this was taking so long. Anon wanted to have a philosophical chat.

"Can't this wait?"
"Why?" He sounds petulant. He won't drop it. God, you don't want to be a mentor.
"Well. Maybe the ant has ant friends he wants to see on the other side of the wall."
"Friends?"

Knows the wall will forever oppress his brethren. Very smart ant. A," You make one last sweep, wash the blade in the sink, "Sentient ant."

You watch him carefully. Anon frowns.
"Sentient?"
"Yeah," You scowl. Anon's still thick. Never mind.
"Wouldn't sapient be the better word? I mean, homo sapiens, right?"
"What?"
"Ah, never mind," Anon shrugs, "I'm more worried about Konoko right now. I'm good."
"Wha- but I didn't get your mustache, your chin, your neck-"
"I think I look good like this!" He stands, nods proudly to himself, completely unaware, "Y'know, like a viking!"
"You wanted to look like a waiter!"
"Vikings had to have had restaurants," Anon crosses his arms, "If you want me to shave, I want to shave myself."
"No," You pull the plug on the drain, letting the awful water and part beard wash away, "I keep the knife. You can- do whatever you want. Just, don't mention Riritu? Or me? Please? That, that is if Konoko talks to you."
"Why?"
"I wouldn't want her to misunderstand anything, you know?"

Anon nods. Got through to him, good work.
"Oh, okay, gotcha. I'll go now then, okay?"
"Sure," You shoo him away with your hands, "You go ahead. We'll catch up."

Anon smiles happily as he strolls off. Too happily, seeing as his face looks a collection of strategically puked hair balls. At least he'll be hard to recognize, you think.
"You were right, Miko-chan! Two thousand, seven hundred and thirty SIX!"
"Good work Riritu, matched my findings exactly. C'mon," You check your uniform, frown at Anon's beard hair and engage in a momentary frenzy of brushing, "Let's go check on Konoko."

We need to stop Konoko while we can, and try and convince Deadoko to change her ways.
>>
Fuckin' god damn it. I'm gone for ONE THREAD and you guys bring Anon back? Why?
>>
No one gives you a second look, as you go up the stairs. Each level is fancier than the last- but each level doesn't reveal Konoko. Eventually, you decide that Konoko wouldn't settle for anything less than the top- and sure enough, fifteen stories later, you see her. Who ever heard of a fifteen story restaurant? God, the girl has to get a grip.

She's sitting by a vast window looking over a great big sky line. Cringer mews on top of your head, waking up as soon as you set eyes on Konoko. You wince behind the fern you're taking for cover, and try to convince him to go back to sleep. Riritu provides commentary.

"Hmmm...She's eating tomato soup, and, oh<3! She is wearing the latest of the Biscotti winter line, a glittering dress of red that-"
"Is she eating with a dude with glasses."
"Yes, and quite a cute cutie~ fufufu, I might have to take him myself-"
"Great, great, congrats," You crane your head over the lip of the fern, Cringer sucking on your finger again, "Anything else?"
"Well...She doesn't look nearly as interested as she should be. Hmph! If I were her, I'd show him a good time!"

"Yes, yes, you'd be the prettiest girl at the ball," You scan the room. Yeah, Leopold looks uncomfortable. And Konoko. She's staring out the window, hand on her chin. What are they waiting for?

Hm. Also, tall, muscular tan woman, seated at the table behind Konoko, with long, dark blue hair. Quick to make characters, isn't she? Wonder what she is? Rival?

"We could sneak up, listen to them- I think the cutie is saying something."

Or, you could wait and watch, and not risk getting discovered. But damn, you are curious what the hell they're saying.

That's not gonna happen. Deadoko has a hateboner for everything and Konoko's a flat out crazy bitch.

I feel so flattered that my suggestion of Deadoko caught on.

"I got this," You turn to Riritu and point, "If you see Anon- please, I am begging you, keep him clear."
"Hmm, is Miko-chan going to get close? That area it seems...Scary."

You glance over. It seemed like an awkward pair, trying to make conversation.

"I'll be fine," You pat your hat softly, "I got Cringer for protection after all."
"Hmm, well, I'll watch you <3!"

Good work Riritu. You stand, lower your hat slightly, and walk for the pair, letting your broom drop behind you. You fish a rag out of your pocket, and begin working and cleaning tables- you let yourself zone out while doing this, keeping an ear out for the pair.
"-at's it then," You hear Leopold say softly, "I'm sorry to say that."
"I don't get it," Konoko sounds dispirited, staring out the window. She had her hair, what little of it she had, combed back in a tight bun, "I mean- you're a talent scout, aren't you?"

"Yes," He lies without a hint of shame.

You move down the tables- you're not sure which you'd rather not see you. The protagonist, or Leopold who knows you. Finally, you decide to work behind Konoko, approaching the muscular woman. She glances up at the sight of you, and gives a nervous bob, opening her mouth to speak, then mercifully thinking better of it, a pink blush on her cheeks. Ah, a rough gal unused to high society sort then. Konoko probably wanted her around so that her femininity would be highlighted. You give a polite grin, then work on mopping the table. You aren't going to miss this conversation, damn it.

"We used to be interested in you. You had interesting results earlier, during that imbroglio last time-" You hear a shuffling of papers, and glance up past the muscle girl. Leopold's taking something out. You see, for a moment, something dark and bent in a holster.
"Imbroglio?" Konoko didn't see it.
Leopold clears his throat, "Yes- back when-"

Seriously, that's all she wants, there's no point clinging to a plot thread if it doesn't serve our purposes.
>>
>>27686989
How exactly were we planning on doing this? Antag would be easy, just stay escaped and screw with her and her hot-headedness would take care of the rest. Andy why are we killing Leopold? I mean, yeah, he's clearly crazy. But, he doesn't seem an immediate danger to us.
>>
>>27687012
Yeah but I'm thinking she can serve our purpose of making Anon suck less.

If she can get a job as the ghost of Anon's beloved imouto, since that's what he'll see her as anyway.
>>
>>27687023
He's not even a protagonist, there's no point in her making herself known to him since he can't give her a role.
>>
You know I believe that despite being knowledge wise in Meta I think there's one big difference between Konoko, Ghostoko, Leopold, and Miko.

It's pretty clear according to Leopold, that all three of the latter have been around a couple times.

Konoko is a newb.
>>
>>27687021
e'd actually try and assist us in his own, creepy way, up until what we wanted diverged with "remering our old story"

I think we may have been his abused housewife or something, judging from the flashback things.

>>27687059
So she can betray us again? Hell no, we're ditching her.

>>27687052
He's not. All Konoko wants him to do is to kill us off once she thinks she can write us off as unimportant to the story.

The narrative is mad. Why is it mad at you? Fucking Leopold is the one that keeps bringing up the past.

"Ma'am?" You hear her distantly. Strange accent on her. The muscular girl. You bite the inside of your cheek until it bleeds.

>It was my fault," He would say, through a nose full of blood, always so pale. He would shiver every morning, every night, but still when you walked in, he would turn smile and

The pain, and taste of blood bring you back out of it. You nearly shout, before remembering where you are. You stay very, very still. Crap, you just bit open the inside of your cheek. You glance at the blue haired girl. She raises an eyebrow. You raise a thumb, and step away quickly. You glance to Konoko's table to see if you had been noticed. Konoko isn't looking at, staring with an eyebrow raised at Leopold, who has his face buried in his hands.

"...Sir?"
"...I'm sorry, I have to go to the bathroom," He speaks, muffled, robotic. He stands up suddenly, his glasses opaque. Konoko stares up quizzically after him, as he suddenly stands, pulling aside his chair, and walking away.
"Ha-hang on. What did you mean earlier?" Konoko stands slightly, then sits back down. Staring as Leopold walks away. She grabs her glass, slams down her champagne, shuts her eyes, and leans her head against the window. She whispers something to herself, staring across the lights.

Man, she sure lost her spunk quick, becoming the main character. Was she always dreaming of being this angsty? Whatever.

You see Leopold walk to the bathroom- and a baffled guy in black suit and sunglasses looking after him in confusion, holding on to something under his coat.

You realize suddenly you're standing in the middle of the room, and quickly set to the important work of pushing a rag about on empty tables. Well. Leopold and Konoko separated. And Konoko is too spaced out to notice you. Wonder where Anon is?

"So hey, you know how you bragged about how Leopold wasn't a danger to you? How you could 'easily snuff him out' or whatever? Guess who you're on a date with. And guess whats in his pocket. I'll give you a hint - he isn't just happy to see you.

I'm all for direct route.
>>
>>27687292
Sorry, should clarify, our old antagonist was a possible fourth. It was unclear.
>>
>>27687294
I'm not even interested in /u/ shit. She is considerably less dangerous than Leopold is, and that's when Leopold *likes* us. I'll take the devil I know, thanks.
>>
>>27687255
I was about to post basically the same thing. Sorry for rushing things along, but I want to keep up the pace. I usually try to count votes in ten minutes and go.

Though, I'm used to smaller quests where that works.

Any way. Let me see if I can pick up the threads...

#1) Warn Konoko about Leopold. Have an honest heart to heart with her. Her status as Protagonist, though earned through betrayal and villainy, still means she's important for the narrative's health. You could probably warn her anonymously. Keep the narrative healthy first, before it slides further.

#2) Have a chat with Leopold. Find out what the fuck Leopold is doing. He might also know about some other things that are going on. And who knows, he might be vulnerable to the same attack from the narrative right now.

#3) Get Anon and Riritu and form and idol group? Gonna have to admit- kind of a long shot this. But IN THEORY, with good enough rolls, and narrative mojo from you three, Konoko can't hope to challenge you guys, and will have to acknowledge your role, safe and sound. THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP.
>>
>>27687306
No, it was Leopold all along. Old antagonist is super unsentient.
>>
>>27687294
...Because killing her is not at all good for the narrative, even if we could shove Anon into the role to take her place.

We're below 50% stability. That is BAD.
>>
>>27687292
It's from what I can tell.
Anon, Naya, Lilith, Konoka, Deadoka, Leopold, Chuunni Antagonist, UNKNOWN and UNKNOWN
>>
>>27687292
To clarify, Leopold you KNOW is the third.
>>
>>27687300
"If it weren't for me fucking with his head, you'd already have much better airflow through your skull. "
>>
>>27687272
No she needs to die, maybe in the next plot she'll learn her lesson to not to bite the hand that tries to help.
>>
>>27687313
Do 1. Definitely 1. We'll see about some variant of 3 later. But for now, Konoko needs to live so we can live.
>>
>>27687317
Lilith isn't sentient. Anon didn't set off our X OF SEVEN sensor. Chuuni Antagonist isn't sentient.
>>

Let's have a chat with Leopold.
>>

I mean, if we sacrificed Anon and Lilith to our dark gods and saints, what happens if we just...flee. Run the fuck away from it all.

>>27687265
I'll explain one last time before I give up on your delightfully distressing naivete.

She wants us dead and is actively trying to write us out of the narrative.
She has an ego at least the size of Anon's.
She is wary of us attempting to take over as protagonist.

None of these point to her giving a role.

>>27687264
There are other goddamn options that we've been discussing the entire two threads!
>Ditch our current character set, come in as another character further on the arc.
>Become an antagonist.
>Turn the metanarrative to the main narrative.

>>27687313
#2. Getting Leopold to back off will hurt narrative health less and is more likely to be met with success.

>>27687324
>>27687300
"To be frank, I don't give a shit about the protagonist role. And if you die while the narrative is below half strength, then I'm up shit creek."
>>
>>27687313

>>
>>27687345
Yeah. That's why we can manipulate her character (so easily.)
>>
>>27687294
Well if we grimdark it up with enough narrative health
and I mean an ass ton of narrative health
we could tie her up and do lewd things to her until she loses her sentience some how
or we could drive her insane by bring forth terrors that would make the eldar gods shit themselves in fright
and quietly push a way the mess that was konoko into a corner somewhere as we deal with a whole new set of bad shit
that we created
or we can make her an unlikeable character some how
turn the fans against her so the writers of the show kill her off to appease them

>>
>>27687345
What he said is true, buuuut it was pretty heavily implied we might be mistaken/there could be a cover up.

I'm extremely sure. Anon MIGHT have become sentient, but Chuuni and Riri have been manipulated by us and Konoko like they were made of clay.
>>
>>27687313
>OTHER: Kill Konoko, transfer narrative power to Cringer.
Narrative is sick, Konoko will kill us, Leopold will kill the narrative even faster, Anon is a dick, Ririth is evil... and anyone trust /tg/ with narrative power?

Giving it to Cringer is the least evil thing we could do.
>>
>>27687313
1. But, be kind of aloof about it. Like we don't even care that she betrayed us. We need the narrative to exist and that means she has to live. Plus, Leo be crazy.

One, Leopold is still all kinds of crazy and is not a fan of being informative.

#2
>>
>>27687332
Well, if you ran away from the plot, the narrative would start biting you back over time.

Getting to waifu/foe/slam dizzle points level 1.00 would mean you wouldn't erode out of sight of the protagonist. However, if Mohammed won't go to the mountain, the mountain will go to Mohammed. Wacky hijinks would pursue you. And the narrative would start trying to hit you for being out of character.

Still. It's not the worst situation to be in.

If we talk with her, make it absolutely clear that we don't give a fuck about the story, the protagonist role, whatever. We just want to survive.

>>
>>27687438

Tell Konoko that we heard from Exodium that the glasses guy, an agent for the Organization, intended to kill her.

If she asks why, maybe we can tie it into her taking our powers?

Like say that she somehow absorbed something from us that the organization wants? Or Leopold wants to kill her to restore our powers because he's dangerously obsessed with us?

>Narrative pool, 0.43.

Agggghhhh, you fucking hate everything. You look between the bathroom, and Konoko. Well, you've come this far. You have to choose between the two. Konoko, JUST backstabbed you. And Leopold. Just being near him is causing narrative breaks.

Still, you already got slapped once. It won't trigger again so quickly. Probably.

You walk forward. The two knives in your coat providing some comfort. Whoa, you have two knives? Sweet.

He was a minor antagonist. And you- you're nothing right now.

Well, you've gotten out of worse. You push open the door to the bathroom, and glance around.

You see Leopoled. He's standing, back to the wall, between the hair dryers and the sink. Facing the wall.

"We have to stop meeting like this."

You say that. He's silent. Doesn't even react, murmuring away there. You shut the door behind you, and twist the lock shut. It probably doesn't make sense, but the narrative's on your side right now. That's a good feeling.

"Leopold?"
"eldherwithasmelllikethespringrainhowcouldibesoluckyiwouldwonderinthoseafternoonswherethecoldandthedarkhelpedtomakethingsallthebetterunderneatheblanketinthefirewithyouohbu"

You frown. He's just buzzing now. You step forward, making out more of his words, but as you get closer, he quiets down.

He's caught in a flashback you guess. Narratively speaking, you can't kill him right now. But you could hold the knife to him, wait until he comes out of it, and then slit his throat.

WA might reduce though.

On the other hand, the crazy asshole wouldn't bother you any more.

>>
>>27687616
>Hit him.
Don't kill him (yet. I'm open to the idea). Narratively that'll leave a plot hole for Konoko to worry at (prevents health regen for narrative). And see if we can't a) get him to back off, b) get us into a role somehow or c) arrange a place where we can meet later to kill him

>>27687642
And we're having to choose between the lesser of two evils.
>>
>>27687616
Also
Don't you people realize that he is also part of the narrative?

He is an important Villain character, you all talk about how we shouldn't 'harm the narrative' we're about to kill off the dragon because of META reasons.

How is that not destroying the narrative? We don't have enough points left now, if he dies it'll be because some 'random NPC" which is what we are becoming thanks to our stupidity, shanked him.
>>
>>27687664
>>27687656
>>27687649
Right, so we'll show that he was going to pull a gun on Konoko, then "escort" him out to the police, then set him into narrative stasis if we can.

>>27687685

>>27687616
Snap him out of it and talk to him.

Konoko is NOT our friend and backstabbed the shit out of us, now she knows that we got out of there she will do better next time or kill us off entierly.

I think before we act too quickly we try to find out more about Leopold or maybe even bring him to our side even if we feel uncomfortable around him. We want Konoko out of the way, but outright killing will fuck the Narrative sideways and thats bad.

Leopold seems to have a huge NP so we should try to work with him against Konoko.

Wait, I think I can work him into the narrative now. He was the guard for you when you were imprisoned in the lab, he has a bad case of Lima Syndrome and because of that even though you are on opposite sides and he has to catch you he can't help but protect you.

No, Konoko just assumes that he is a madman. It may have to do with the fact that they probably knew each other.

According to the Pastebin if you want to survive one story after it ends you`ve got to have a huge NP to actually stay yourself.
Heck, its possible that we may have even been a couple in the last story but the end hit us so hard that it warped out whole personality to the point where it makes us physically uncomfortable to be around Leopold.

Out dislike against him could also be something like the auto-immune system of the narrative to prevent foreign objects from past/other stories to jump in and influence stuff.

1) Convince Leopold to fuck off to Antarctica or something.

2) Stab stab stab! When narratively appropriate of course.

>>
>>27687805
Leopald only asks crazy because he's part of "Leopald quest" on Bizarro /tg/
>>
>>27687859
He comes out of it, we've already got a knife at his throat, we have the narrative on our side, and we can kill him before he can react.

I don't think we should do it though.

But the people who think we can somehow whip up a magical prison that'll hold someone who can fuck over the narrative like he does with less than 1 narrative point are insane.
>>
>>27687858
He's at least a little nutty, but I agree that the Konoko Waifuing camp has been overplaying the "crazy," to make Konoko look absolutely delightful.

Leopold isn't a fantastic choice...but it's the only choice, with Konoko in charge and her hateboner at maximum. But her new angst turn seems...unusual.

My speculation is Deadoko and the events of the last story have somehow corroded or rendered the Protagonist role toxic as a final, screaming curse.

In-story we got OUT of the basement. We've just demonstrated that by being here.

Anything that happens in front of Konoko, happens "on screen". By our very appearance we can change things now.

All we need to screw Leopold over is to come in with a story about how Leopold came and freed us and told us how he was going to kill Konoko -

in story it makes sense, out of story it traps leopold. (I think it's a good chance to get Konoko nonfatally wounded - suddenly, we need to heal her - either we get our ki powers back to save her ass or she dies and protagonist status gets to us or Anon - hopefully us)

3) Schnogging

Mostly because we might get on his good side and actually get him to willingly answer some questions for us. We don't really know his story and it's possible we can talk him out of any possibly damaging ideas he has, but we need to hear them first and not sabotage a possible relationship.

>>27687979
There's a problem with her trying to kill us;
At this point EVERYTHING we do is on stage; everything's being watched by the narrative.

What's the narrative effect of a new protagonist trying to kill someone who just came back to save her, at -1 alignment?

The downside of being a protagonist is there's no "offscreen" time. She's constantly on review. She can't act against us so easily directly. But she CAN influence the narrative quite easily to get us safely away - unless someone's able to hurt her, of course.

She can't disable is permanently on-screen; it's a false-happy act that she has to put up with because there's never a moment that she doesn't have eyes on her watching her. In-story, we're "friends"; out of story, she can't do anything without fucking up the narrative more, or dropping world alignment. She can't kill us off offscreen if we've got a role and there's a decent world alignment. If she drops world alignment;

Well, there's always the knife.

"Best Girl" status would vanish, and people would see her and think "wow, what a bitch" and this series would go down the pan.

>>
>>27688439
Except the rules stated that a very large amount of points is needed to survive the story, and this story has barely even begun yet, we're still in the opening acts.
>>
Look, guys.

If we can work with Leo to bring the Narrative down to this point:
>20%-11%: Derailment. The narrative's earlier frenzy is gone. The narrative will only punish the most heinous of breaches now. Inconsistent characters are no longer in danger. Characters are free to recall old stories, and speak of them. Replacement characters still spawn, but whether or not from this story is a crap shoot. The narrative will stop pushing forward on its own- at this point, characters need to spend points just to move the plot along. Other stories may be spoken of at this point.
We've got a good chance of escaping this mad cycle entirely.

Here before you is Leopold.

>Narrative pool, 0.42.

Oh fuck off already. You step forward. The bathroom is a little chilly in here, but otherwise has the same design as the other lavatory you were in. Black and white porcelain tiles. Too clean floors, walls. Business like, ergonomic. Boring.

Leopold is a perfect fit for that. Taller than you, but not so tall as to attract notice. Stylish glasses, of a mundane kind. A suit that wasn't so loud as to attract notice. A speedy sketch to fill white space. A nail to hold boards together.

You get the sense that Leopold liked that sort of thing. You glance behind you. Door is still shut.

You step closer, and he quiets still more. Probably a good thing. Probably not his doing. You grab hold of his elbow, and turn him around. His glasses are doing that stupid opaque shine kind of thing, so you can't see his eyes. You try to get a peek up behind the glasses, but no luck.

"You're a real pain in the ass, you know that?"

You place your hands on either side of his face. He's still murmuring. You could take off the glasses, probably. But, with what he's murmuring about, in his tone of voice, you don't want to see him being weepy.

You have to stand on your tippy toes, a little, but you get close, reach him. Ram your lips in to his. Pucker up.

He murmurs in to your lips. Breath hits your teeth. It tickles. Despite yourself, you smile a little. You reach past, drape your arms around his neck, and pull him in closer. You disconnect lips, hold your forehead against his nose. You look down at his tie. Plain, black.

The noise stops. You know he awakens, when his heartbeat picks up, in to a frenzy. He hangs on a word, letting it escape with a hiss.
"What-"

"I hate you."

He whimpers at that. And you know he's yours.
>>
>>27688570
She still can't kill us.

Can't even really hurt us unless we start it.
>>
"I've always hated you. Despised you the first moment I saw you," You look up to him now. His glasses are clear again. Blue eyes stare at you, red at the edges. He swallows, "You knew that though, didn't you?"

His brow furrows, but not at your words. Because he felt something, your bodies so close together.

"You have a knife."
"Two."
"Why?" He breathes that question. Fear? You push your head in to his chest, smile. Ignore him.
"Why did you play along with Exo's plan Leo?"
"I felt. I felt the world shift. And I was worried- I didn't see you. When he, your antagonist contacted me via-"
"Skip it. You were worried about me?"
"Yes," He swallows, "I played on her insecurities. She's new to being a protagonist. Afraid. So, she was glad."
"Does she know?"
"If she does, she hasn't said anything," Leopold swallows, "She gave me a role though. Made more...Important."
"Hmm. Not good then."
"Terrible," He growls that last bit, "She, she hurt you, didn't she-"
"Do you have anything that could help me?"
"Help?"
"I don't have a role."

You feel him bristle and tense at that- you bring a hand up, stroke his cheek, and immediately he stills, and calms.
"I, I swear, I will find you one- please, tell me- you seem so weak. Would you-"
"No. I wouldn't survive."

He doesn't say anything at that.

He hesitantly raises a hand, brings it near your face. He looks at you, gives you a pleading expression.
"Go on. It's just a body."

I think we're basically fucked no matter what. We've got no purpose in the story, no supply of points, no reliable/useful allies, the protagonist is a dumb, selfish, bitch, and the entire narrative is already falling apart around our ears and we've nowhere near enough points to survive the collapse in even a minor fashion. Just surviving seems like a Sysiphian effort at this point.

Trembling fingertips touch your forehead, pull away your hair. Rests his hand on the back of your head. Holds you tight. He has no courage. Just a deep seated neuroses, dreaming of a girl he once knew, long long ago.

"Why are you doing this?" His voice is very weak.
"Because, Leopold. That is what I can do," You snuggle in closer, rest your cheek in his clavicle. He stays very, very still, "I can be whatever I want. I have no character, no great loyalty spanning eras and stories. I hold nothing sacred. Except, me. I don't care for you at all. That's how, Leopold," You settle down, "I have no character, no principles, no personality, save that which keeps me alive. Don't forget it."

His heartbeat slows from its frenzy. Starts to be regular again.

"I love you," He whispers.

Pathetic.

But he's yours now. To do whatever.

Well, I think it would be best if we keep Leopold as an ally.

One idea that I got is that we can tell Leopold to go back and drop some foreshadowing that the Anti-order of Crucifix is going to retaliate (with complainant) now that one of their agents has gone.

And Konoko would think about getting stronger to counter them.

I think people are decently happy with how the quest has recovered.

This is the first time we've actually been divided on what to do and we needed to make a major choice about how the story was going to go. Either way one side was going to be mad about how it ended up.

[x] Leave Leopold alone, go to Konoko and say "Oh, I heard that the Anti-order of Crucifix is going to retaliate. I've been collecting allies. You best do something yourself."

>>

Nah that's not impressive enough.

We need to dramatically foil an assassination attempt.

It's less dishonest than most things we do, since we fully intended on doing that until we realized just how easily manipulated Leopold was.

It depends. If all we're doing is going in circles, sure. If we're still throwing out ideas, it seems premature to votecount.

I didn't see it, could you quote?

However, I did find the second strike of narrative punishment interesting. We and leopald have been having flashbacks, so we're probably both on second strike right now.

Admittedly, in a waifu role, you have less chances for this- the attention garnered is purely in your dimension as a romantic interest. I am stupid fucking lucky. Seriously, was there a god damn posting to some sort of suicide watch site? "There's this guy that writes this metariffic interactive story on /tg/, we're pretty sure he's a borderline case, give him pictures."

But in all seriousness, thank you. I am terrible at expressing gratitude properly. And I do, I do save every picture made for this quest, and I am glad every time a picture comes by. I am staying up too late. Need to sleep before I get worse.

I will ask you guys here though-

Should I post victory conditions? Not just the "Have 4.00 narrative points by the end to retain current status" stuff, but out and out point out ways to the end?

It seems like these threads are going in circles, and I don't want to move fast and leave people confused. Apparently going after Konoko in the first place was contentious, and I missed that. I do have some 'ends' in mind, just like any good VN. Although, this isn't exactly a straight up parody of VNs. More of a blender of idiocy.

I don't know. Fuck, too many posts. I'm going to finally fulfill my promise and go to sleep this time I mean it for realsies no backsiesesthaetlhnaetlkh.

Can we put aside whether Leo is a bitch or not, and work out WHAT ROLE WE SHOULD PLAY?

Why the dinosaurs went extinct:

When Lucifer rebelled, he challenged God to THE ULTIMATE MATCH.

They had this match in space, but when Lucifer realized that God truly was the greatest sportsman in the universe, he played dirty and kicked the ball, not at the goals, but at the Earth. This was the moment the dinosaurs went extinct, and the moment that Lucifer truly fell.

Because nothing is worse than bad sportsmanship.

So; plan is to force Konoko's Good End upon her, even if she tries to get us knocked out the way?

Because we'll do anything to survive, and the best way is to get an end that everyone can survive?
>>
Man, I was kind of disappointed in this. Not because it was a bad course of action for getting back into the narrative (obviously not) or because Leopold is the most repulsive guy in the story (hello Anon...though Leopold is still creepier), but because Leopold is by far the closest character to the /tg/ protagonists that Waifu Quest should mock. Anon could only dream of coming as close. Unlike Anon where I'm just disinterested and annoyed when he shows up, no matter whether we're being friendly or shouting at him, treating Leopold seriously just really grinds my gears, even if only so we can use him, because of that.

More importantly (i.e. not just me whining), I'm at a loss for why so many are already making plans around exploiting/relying on one of Anon/Leopold/Konoko for points long-term when there are so many characters and roles we still haven't encountered yet. Hell, depending on who counts or not, we might not even have met half the sentients. Obviously short-term we need to use what we have, but homing in on a plan all the way until we achieve narrative superiority seems not only boring, but outright stupid with so many unknown elements still in play - we'd just end up with a plan like 'restore Anon with a better personality to fight Konoko and then act to take over protag role ourselves' only to have sentient #6 show up with a narrative role that fucks this plan over completely.

Nameless is still a secret manipulative bitch though.
>>
>>27689864
You mean both?
>>
>>27689825
Really? Let's go with the most obvious one:

- Is the only character actually invested in romance. Sure you have stuff like Anon aiming for a harem, or Konoko wanting to find her ~perfect husbando/waifu~, but that's not ACTUALLY romance for obvious reasons. Additionally, he is pathetically invested in romance. Anon and Konoko want someone, sure, but they put themselves above any individual love interest. How is Leopold not exactly like /tg/'s usual protagonist in this? /tg/ LOVES being self-sacrificial and selfless, especially towards waifus. Sure it's not a 100% fit (as mentioned, to quick to violence and a bit too pathetic) but certainly far more than Anon who's just a harem protag cut-out, or Naya since we're playing her without taking romance seriously.

It's not my thing either. Truth be told, I found writing that piece unpleasant. Really, any of that kind of abusive stuff. But it fit.

I laughed at the suggestion initially because I didn't think anyone would be up for it. But then I thought it through, and found it worked. Spiteful, nasty, manipulative. But it worked. It made perfect sense. I didn't want to write it, but it accomplished /tg/'s objective of seeing Leopold neutralized.

And abusing Leo's love of who she used to be is the quickest road to that.

Because that is what our character is. She is a blunt instrument, a creature devoted to perpetuating herself. She may occasionally evince a fondness for certain things, but in the end she will survive, at the cost of everything around her. She learns the rules and viciously exploits them, to keep herself as whole and strong as possible. She will shed every dimension necessary to slip through the cracks for her gratification. At heart, she has no principles, no spirit, nothing, other than an awareness of how to break in to narrative long enough to take points enough to survive its destruction.

And yet, every other sentient and sapient has their own fundamental flaws about them that, with some debate, could make them be considered worse than our main character. In my opinion. Maybe you'll feel differently about them.

I'll try to pick up the pace.

Are you serious? That is pretty much every quest with romance. The only quests that aren't like that in my experience are the ones where the situation just doesn't come up, which is admittedly reasonably often if you don't count regular risky rescues and the like (if you do, every Exabyte quest would count for example). And at times it stretches to all of MC's friends. Admittedly I don't follow many quests any more, but though I ended up dropping it fairly early, Bleach Quest is an obvious example at the very least.
>>
>>27690131
We want to work for Mahou no Sportsman. At least those of us who don't subscribe to grimdark do. It's the ideal goal that pleases a little bit of everyone so far, and it's a strong enough narrative to hold up against newcomers. We'll fill up those plotholes while we're at it, and hell, maybe become a real character. Not just a pretender.

Maybe the real quest for us is to stop being such abusers.

>>
>>27690199
That's not what I said, but congrats on misrepresenting my point. My points were 1: no-one in this quest so far except Leopold seem terribly concerned about romance, and 2: the average /tg/ protag will generally be self-sacrificial and selfless WRT their love-interest (execute dangerous plans to save them from things, etc), just like Leopold. How does that imply that the quest is all about romance=

Second, I haven't read most of these, but I have read MGNQ and...it hasn't come up. You're right, I wasn't really wording it very specifically, though the original reply did take a different approach from me (you're right that Leopold unlike most protags ONLY cares about love...but that is more due to his history and the nature of this quest - every character being either an NPC or an enemy/rival, the nature of the narrative, etc.

There's the actual, genuine yandere who is ruthless as fuck and will happily murder anything and everything in her way to getting her true love, no matter whats in her way. (Example: Katawa Yandere)
>>
>>27690220
>Hollow Quest
>Romance as a sideplot
There is no romance.
>>
We'll need to cash in some chips next time to get Konoko to agree to Mahou no Sportsman. It might not be the sports anime she originally wanted, but it can be high alignment and still be a sporty, fun adventure.
>>
>>27690414
At least in quests where sexuality matters. Though these days, it feels like there are more bi than outright gay ones. Meanwhile, all straight all the time for the guys.

The solution is obviously not to let /tg/ choose sexuality and make sure people know from the moment romance becomes relevant (or in the first post) so people don't throw bitch-fits about being 'railroaded' after getting invested in the character.
>>
>>27690437
Yeah, but the top two aren't romance related really. And Yandere isn't exactly common enough to be authentically /tg/ in my opinion, how often does it show up outside KY?
>>
>>27690476
There aren't any chips we hold on her. She holds all of them. We can't burn our narrative on her.

We've got to actually prove too hard to be put under a bus.
>>
>>27690345
>>27690331
...isn't that SQ's plot, kinda sorta?
>>27690354
OH FUCK, IT'S GETTING EVEN DEEPER-
>>
>>27690437
>There's the JUSTICEfag. Who's not like Anon, but actually seriously dedicated to getting everyone out alive. He's naive and trusting, though, and will talk/diplomance the heads off anyone willing to listen.
Gee, that sounds familiar...
>>
>>27690437
>Theres, well...whatever the fuck Risa Schrodinger is. Powergaming madman. In it for the lulz, blow up everything if its awesome/funny. (Example: Hollow Quest)
Other examples: B-Class Quest, Strike Witches Quest, Ogre Civ, whatever the fuck Richter Bromonts writing even though he's honestly pretty shit at it

Also, there's the...uh. Military protag? Serious, actually competent, prone to the occasional spurt of awesome. Lego Quest: After the Brick, Strikers 89 (maybe?) MGNQ, Valk Mercs, Princess Guard, Golden Empire.

>>27690473
I was more referring to the actual /tg/ protags, not the romance to be honest. Actual dedicated romances are kind of hard to find nowadays.

Though Golden Empire DOES have a waifu. And she is the best waifu because she hits all of my buttons. hnnnngh.
>>
>>27690516
HUE.
HUE.
HUE HUE HUE HUE HUE.
>>
>>27690503
I meant the fuck up jar
>>
>>27690517
Never seen Golden Empire around. When does it run?
>>
>>27690516
I really hate it when quest go full JUSTICE, but its proponents always go full frothing retard and screaming about murderboners if they don't get their way.
>>
>>27690546
It runs on Anonkun, which is why you've never seen it.
>>
>>27690548
Honestly, I think Lamia Quest did it pretty well.

It kind of had to, since we were an actual paladin.
>>
>>27690546
It's an Akun Quest. One of the best (in my opinion) and also one of the longest.
>>
>>27690515
>...isn't that SQ's plot, kinda sorta?
Konoko being Temerity.
>>
>>27690517
Well hey, thats all eight sentients, maybe.

>>27690564
Yeah, the only Quest here that even comes close to its quality is MGNQ. Which is appropriate, because it was inspired by MGNQ.
>>
>>27690562
We aren't a paladin, though. We're a memetic parasite who's only consistent characteristic is doing ANYTHING to stay alive.

And it strikes me as odd that we're going to any lengths to ensure the good end for anyone else.
>>
>>27690517
She hits all of mine too. It's like junk food to a fatty (though while I'm more than willing to admit it's not exactly AMAZING STORY 10/10 at least it's better than pretty much every other quest romance I've read), I can't get enough.
>>
>>27690562
At least LQ is ACTUAL Justice stuff, faggy or no. Things like keeping people alive and being diplomatic is more emphatic/ethical than anything to do with justice really, so associating it with JUSTICE seems weird.
>>
>>27690584
Its simple.

If everyone is happy, then noone wants to disrupt the status quo. Which means that noone wants to kill us, since everyones too busy wallowing in all the narrative points they could ever want to care about anything.

Its what we were trying to do with Konoko, but on a larger scale. And this time, we'll have learned.

We'll have Leopold on a nearby roof with a sniper rifle.
>>
>>27690584
>And it strikes me as odd that we're going to any lengths to ensure the good end for anyone else.
Because we're the Shard of Mercy.
Anon is the Shard of Lust.
Leopold is the Shard of Devotion.
I have no idea, don't ask.

>>27690581
Only very loosely though.
>>
>>27690584
Going for good end because good end is good. Screw parasite shit, that's just made us dumb
>>
>>27690615
>If everyone is happy, then noone wants to disrupt the status quo. Which means that noone wants to kill us, since everyones too busy wallowing in all the narrative points they could ever want to care about anything.
>>27690619
>Screw parasite shit, that's just made us dumb

Those were the first things we did. We tried to team up with Konoko, screw the parasite shit and be strong independent women that don't need no protagonist.

Look what happened.
>>
>>27690635
Well yeah, but thats why I implied that we'll kill anyone who doesn't play nice.

We'll rule with an iron fucking fist, and utterly destroy anyone who even expresses dissatisfaction with how things are.

We're basically going to become Big Brother.
>>
>>27690564
What with 90% of the quests I follow having cancelled their shit or being silent enough for me to start suspecting QM abandonment, I think I'm going to have to check out this "Golden Empire" thing.

>Go to akun
>See that GE has its own board/
Well. This is gonna be good.
>>
>>27690618
Konoko is the shard of...?
>>
>>27690635
No. We got proud and arrogant, and tried to do something that didn't maintain a safe environment. We got greedy. We got ambitious. All we had to do was put on a good show for anon and coast to a good ending. Now we're in this mess.

So now we're not going to do that. We're going to do what we should have done from the beginning: know our role, stick to it, and ensure that everyone else is also doing their part to keep things happy and safe.

And maybe we'll be less of a bitch

>Big Waifu is watching you
>>
>>27690688
How many times do we have to point out that Anon was not safe at all, and was (and probably still is) an unstable maniac?
>>
>>27690655
A closed fist grasps nothing, or some other shit like that. Let's make it fun and exciting to be a part of, so that they want to join
>>
>>27690688
Get fucked.

>>27690704
Speak softly, and carry a big stick is my opinion.
>>
>>27690704
Yeah, you take an open palm, and hold treats in it.

That way, their throats are right by your hand while they're eating from it.

If they try to pull away, you choke them the fuck out.
>>
>>27690700
Until you stop sounding paranoid. If we stick to our role, we will be fine
>>
>>27690700
Sorry man, I must have missed out the part where he backstabbed us and left us to rot.
>>
>>27690721
Yeah, you must have, because him almost draining us dry because he had a bitchfit after losing a single fight was a pretty big thing that happened.

And then there was the whole Deadoko's clothes thing.
>>
>>27690717
Good lord that sounded adolescent. Look, if we do a good job and meet their needs, we won't have to fight.
>>
>>27690662
The board thing might not actually indicate everything, the most recent site update did some weird things, including wrt boards.

Also romance-wise, it's /u/ as fuck just so you know. Being Megica based and all. Face just doesn't tag it since he doesn't think the romance needs tags, so I figure if you're not into that and failed to intuit it it's a fair warning (though the protag being female and the context of the previous posts would give it away).
>>
>>27690739
Yeah, thats the ideal situation.

But we tried that with Konoko, and look what happened. All I'm trying to say is that we should prepare...contingencies, in case someone tries to pull that shit.
>>
>>27690739
>Being willing to deal with people acting up is adolescent
>The only way to be a good adult is to be everyone's bitch
How about you go be a good adult and fuck off somewhere else to let the kids have their fun.
>>
>>27690750
I think we mishandled that situation. Instead of making things fun and interesting, we had a fucking conspiracy. That has ripple effects, and we can only hope to neutralize that with good vibes
>>
>>27690688
Those who can't kill will always be subject to those who can.

An ultima ratio is an important ace up your sleeve to have.
>>
>>27690776
With Anon in charge, you don't have fun and interesting. You have creepy and vaguely threatening.

Which is why we conspired to get rid of him in the first place.
>>
>>27690762
What's adolescent is taking an, admittedly poorly retold, metaphor about trying to force situations and then adding throttling.
>>
>>27690739
Because that totally worked with Konoko, didn't it? I mean here we were, totally happy that she was protag and not at all willing to take the role for ourselves because that'd just be making us a target, and then she pisses all over us.
>>
>>27690787
I just thought he sounded like a guy from /a/, which is kinda creepy but whatever. He wasn't shiki
>>
>>27690809
He held us down, covered our mouth so we couldn't scream, and violated our very essence.
>>
>>27690787
But he is easy to please and doles out plenty of points for us to survive. Getting plenty of point was the objective here.
>>
>>27690808
She pissed all over us because she knew we ran a conspiracy to oust Anon.
>>
>1.3k posts when alls said and done
Dang, that shistorm really inflated it something fierce.
>>
>>27690815
Yes, but we'd be constantly fearing for our virginity.

>>27690816
Oh, hey, and look how that worked out! It turned out we didn't need to do anything because he ousted himself, thus justifying the conspiracy in the first place!
>>
>>27690814
Whatever. It's fake ki bullshit and we had our own part in that terrible situation too. We are not blameless for any of this. It's likely none of this would have happened were we not such unrepentant schemers
>>
Guys, guys, you're missing something. Plans suck! Let's look at the success rate of plans so far:
Our plan - fucked over.
Leopold's plans - hijacked entirely.
Deadoko's plans - dismal failures.
Konoko's original plan - helplessly derailed.

Meanwhile, let's look at our characters with no evidence of planning:
Anon - started as protag, got fucked over (though mostly due to walking straight into a narrative trap, wouldn't need a plan to avoid just intelligence).
Konoko post plan - got freebie help from us, easily snagged protagonist position once opportunity arose.

A full 50% success-rate! Clearly the solution is to make no plans, but instead just play every situation as if standalone, and make what seems the best decision in the moment.
