News

Surviving head hunters and raiders of the fallen enemy hero has joined our forces. They report that the Ravagers have grounded their aircraft and are preparing for something.

The zombies and ghouls have largely killed each other off. Now however the monsters are picking up date for EXTREME Deep Monster Mayhem estimated to begin in 5 turns.

Would really like to make some certian. . . preparations for that, as a side project of course. Richards plan must come through.

How 'bout the hives? Damn, we should've checked on our allies.

This is also a good time to strike while the iron is hot, weaken the zombie hives and/or strengthen the Ghoulish numbers in time for monster mayhem to finish the job.

Oh yeah, that.

We had the choice between immortality for our heroes, and Super Cells and Super Organs. I need to look back on the differences in uses.

For more larger bio creations, which would be more cost effective?

A hero can only do 1 action at a time.
>>
Rolled 91

>>27696138
Clearing the battlefields will net us some resources and prevent the monsters near our base from having as much food as elsewhere.

If we hit the monster dens NOW then we won't have to deal with as many later.

EDE has stated that devoting actions to heroes' projects (even if we don't know what they are) will increase the rate at which the project is completed because they receive manpower and its not just them that's working on it.

Rollan for Mad Science I suppose.

Our military expedition however went amazingly well we didn't even suffer any losses really but many a monster dens became toast.

Constuction for monster pens began.

Torg has designed some AWESSOME fireworkds that EXPLODE and in AWESOME COLORS/TRICKS.

Tabula meanwhile has begun work on speaker crystals he managed to get them to transmit sound but has yet to figure out messages to the mind. He figured out everything else though.

4 turns till XTREME Deep Monster Mayhem

Didrikson has returned he states that the Bandit he was after is surrounded by a nightmarish amount of mutant bandits. They mostly hold up around the wastelands. He wasn't able to get all that close and so he went overkill took out one of their bases. Sadly said enemy hero survived.

Warlord Slag suggests fleeing underground. As he states "its the only place Monster Mayhem doesn't reach."

Alexis suggests Hunting them first. Didrickson agrees catching her off guard allowing him to tactically grope her ass, before mysteriously vanishing savoring his success.

What he actually suggested was leaving the swamp entirely saying that the monster mayhem will spill over but at least you would get more time to prepare.
>>
>>27696693
>Warlord Slag suggests fleeing underground
>"its the only place Monster Mayhem doesn't reach."
Actually. . .that doesn't sound like a bad idea. As long as it's our own tunnels (can we fit everyone down there?). Do monsters tend to wreck infastructure and buildings of abandoned places or do they leave them alone? Then we have to take acount our psionic presence.

Then again, we open ourselves to somebody else quickly taking our bases uncontested.

>Alexis suggests Hunting them first
Always an acceptable idea, or at least thin their ranks as they approach.

>Military
Send out Alexis and Didrickson (presuming they're here) on a monster hunt. On the 4th month, or when Monster Mayhem begins, head on home.
>Bandit
Have Warlord slag reassess the forts of our allied bandit bases, fortify them as necessary, and consolidate those who can't to our base.

Burks Bunker is safe they even have more countermeasures then we do. At cost of having tunnels nearby that were not largely collapses.

Scavenging teams brought back a decent haul despite the dangers Nova Kong was the one who largely kept them of the teams back.

Alexis and Didrikson have left in order to hunt.

Projects continue for mad science. Expcet this time Richard has finished his new symbiont...which feeds of radiation AND MAKES THE USER STRONGER. So long as it gets nuked every once in a while it doesn't need to feed and it can enhance the user bigger.

You are Jergan you are in a Bloody Bandit desperatly trying to hold of the monsters that came pouring in it was really fuck bad then the literal fireworks happen and the music began. Last thing he you felt was when a Monster swallowed you and your tank whole.

You are Sherry A ghoul your forces were getting annihilated when the luring began. Last thing you felt was when a gigantic cloud of whatever it was descended on you.

You are TORG after your AWESOME run in the bombardier you began to realize that clearly no one was AWESOME enough to endure what was happening, right now you are desperately trying to hold of the gigantic monsters that could swallow even your ride whole. Then a sickening feeling began to drop down in your gut. You realized that you didn't have enough AWESOME especially EXPLOSIONS to survive. Which is when you decided to show off what happens when even you question yourself you pushed the big red blinking button that said EXPLODE as your ride began to crumble around from all the monsters trying to get a piece. By this time your mags have long since run dry and even your barrels have become warped from all the firing.

You are Irewin despite your best efforts the monsters were just too much. Fuck even before the lures were cast your forces were being obliterated now not just your ghouls are the only ones fucked. Right now you were about to get overwhelmed even the bandit base was cracking under the strain. Which was when you got a message from Warlord Slag who while on his tour heard about what happen he began to give instructions. He felt a strange sense of calm come over you and decided to do as he asked under one condition.

"You and I both know I am wont be making it out of here...so in order to buy your boys a chance I need a promise that you will take care of my ghouls when I am gone deal?"

"Agreed. Best of luck Irewin I will admit I am going to miss your cooking."

Casualties

Irewin
Torg
800 Memor
300 Buggers
200 Rix
100 Viroz
300 Mulic
100 Ortor
100 Tectus
Ghoul forces wiped out.
Bandit forces believed to be casualties 2/3s as two thirds of their bases were wiped out.
All tanks.

Lost contact with bandit bases.
Lost contact with Ramona.
Warlord Slag has completely cut contact.

Alexis and Didrikson reported before disappearing underground that our two bandit bases used as distractions were completely overwhelmed and crushed. The monsters barely noticed and just dispersed afterwards to continue the mayhem.

Meanwhile in some other part of the swamp.

"...So do we you think we actually might not have to do anything."

"Looks like that way heh it seems Vass's request may have been for naught after all."

Hindsight is always 20/20, but yeah. Every-time you go away you know badshit happens.
>>

Not to mention losing ALL of our vehicles, ALL of our ghouls, and MOST of our bandits, losing Warlord Slag, losing Alexis and Didrikson temporarily possibly for good, and god knows what happened to Witch Luna.
>>
>>27698832

Do we have access to any of our research facilities and/or the crystal grove?
>>
Rolled 73

>>27698955
We sent Witch Luna months ago before any of this was noted.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say we were likely fucked anyway, those casualties would still be as high anyway, on top of that we'd be dealing with it at our base (and likely have to activate heroic sacrifice).

But for now, we can be thankful as the monsters are the 5 Zombies hives problem to the far east (and the big fortress north of the east base). To the west, there are also Zombie hives for them to get at.
>>
>>27699023
I'd rather not do anything that could remotely jeopardize our hidden status. Especially crystals. Let's keep the dead zone for 5 turns while MME is still in effect
>>
Rolled 54

>>27699023
Research facilities is a yes as its all underground. Crystal grove we do not we do however have access to crystal gardens.

>>27699048
Our 'distraction'(slaughter) was largely pointless as it hardly did anything for the Monster Mayhem. As for Warlord Slag I suspect he has gone rogue as his only requirement was for us not to make retarded tactical decisions. While we may have listened to a degree...we wiped out over half his men that he was responsible for. the witch meanwhile who knows how long she may be gone at this rate or if our heroes could even survive the underground in which they fled.
>>
Rolled 61

>>27699071
Maybe we just ask for a 5 turn timeskip. Only to be interrupted when in danger.

Do we risk a lab accident giving away our position? But I trust Richard and Clora will take extra precaution.

We can't so much as step foot outside until this whole thing is over tho.
>>
>>27699142

That's right, you guys called down the brunt monster mayhem DIRECTLY ON one of our allied bandit bases.

I don't think we'll have any allied bandits when we come out of this.

We didn't even roll a 1 but this is on par with any of our great disasters. Fucking fuck fuck why do I even still try?
>>
Rolled 26

>>27699256
Vile Bloods are still around they are however VERY leery.
>>
>>27699238

Yeah we risk a lab accident giving away our position because unless we had a hero who intimately knows our dispositions and is an expert tactician go rogue because we essentially attacked his base.

If we don't come out of this shitting magic bolts of death out of our assholes as the least deadly thing we do we might as well just overload our reactor and quit, because we alienated our allies completely and won't be getting anymore for a long time (likely ever). Shit, people might just attack us out of hand because if they don't we might gain some power and we've demonstrated that we're going to kill everyone even if they're our allies.
>>
>>27699327

The only good thing is that SWH might not pay much attention to us any more because she might just be like "goddamn, these people are insane AND stone-cold retards. I have better shit to do than look at them."

So Clora is available?

>Basic 1
Clora looks into the super-cells, have her try and find a way to produce weapon-organs out of them that could be integrated with our troops. Or have her finish up what she was doing.

>Basic 2
Prophet continues on psionic stealth

>Basic 3
Tabula continues on crystal amplifiers. Have him take a few of the crystals that act like psionic batteries and hook them up to a crystal that uses an ability, see how that ability crystal works when it has more power applied to it. If he doesn't see a way that an actual amplifier can be made he should direct himself towards figuring out a way that psionic-users can draw power from batteries to boost the powers they are using.

Mad Science unavailable because contact with Richard is inconsistent/he's away with the Vilebloods who are an inch away from joining the club and murderfucking us and he doesn't want them to do that to him.

Extra: Help Clora with figuring out a transmission method that Richard can understand.

What was Clora's project exactly? Figuring out how to integrate new biological discoveries into our mutants? Is an action required to actually have those integrated?

So was Clora integrating updates in mutations into our mutants, or just researching how to do so and now we have to implement them?

In tandem with that, is Clora currently occupied with any projects of her own? Did she ever finish force-evolving her brood?

Is Richard still occupied coming up with a god-tier multiadvantage symbiont?
>>
Rolled 33

>>27704883
She was identifying said mutations on a specatucarly painful level to allow upgrades followed by biomods then finally symbionts to enhance. First however she had to know the mutations inside and out. Finally she then plans to update them but that will knock out our forces while the changes occur.

Clora'Zel is indeed has her own project which apparently hurts like hell. As for force evolving she did indeed finish it.

Richard is working his symbiotic magic. Now however designing symbionts to enhance preexisting mutations. Unless someone comes up with some other idea that he may work on(which is always a good thing).
>>
Rolled 95

>>27699820
Clora has absorbed the super cells and is beginning to identify them. She states that they appear to come in 2 varieties basic typical cells and modified ones that can be used to create things.

Prophet is still working on the psionic stealth he has an idea to add on something to it but cannot figure out how reduce the strain of its usage.

Tabula Rasa states he figured out how a amplifier might work. Problem is it would be INCREDIBLY difficult as you would have to prevent backlash, burnout, and somehow make the crystals produce enough excess energy as to be useful much less tap into it. Psionic batteries are not quite as complicated.

Richard is busy trying to understand the info Clora'Zel but isn't having much luck....

"Richard I finally figured out how I can fix an issue I am having and let you understand that data its just that well....

WAHHHH-

So why is Richard screaming and running out of his quarters naked this time, muttered Super Soldier.

I have feeling it has something to do with that spike impaling and dragging him uh down the hallway it seems, stated the other Super Soldier.

Ah should we save him?

Considering the Hivemind isn't freaking out I would say that is a no.

What's your estimate on how many resources are going to be required to repair the base have the Monster Mayhem is through? Our poorly thought out distraction at least got them away from us, then they stampeded outwards from the swamp anyway so our base shouldn't be too damaged right?

>Basic 1
Allow Clora to upgrade mutations and/or create biomods, her preference.

>Basic 2
Tabula should assist the Prophet in improving Psionic Stealth/reducing its strain. See if crystals can help.

>Basic 3
Maor resources to Clora.

>Mad Science
Carry on, Sweet Richard.

Ask him if he's considered taking symbiote technology and combining it with the borg spiders we have as an easy means of manufacturing them. Alternately, if he's thought about inventing some that would be of use to Nova King, something that challenging would likely involve a good bit of science.

For other projects, the worm defense project that was mentioned a while ago? I'll find the info and copy+paste it in a few minutes. Also, maybe devising an organ that produces a forcefield or allows the user to direct electricity? He could study the way Nova King does it.
Obviously Nova King isn't currently available

I thought Richard was over with the Vile Bloods, in his personal labs. Has Clora'Zel figured out teleportation?
>>
Rolled 85

>>27705282

Here's the worm defense project.

Fortify the base: Biological defenses, an intricate tunnel network crisscrossing around an area just outside the base's outermost perimeter inhabited by worms. The worms live in the pre-made tunnel network most of the time, expanding it slowly using saliva that hardens into a very weak cement on contact with water. They breed and multiply, slowly expanding the tunnel network as their population increases always just enough for their needs. Mostly they're peaceful and docile, feeding on various funguses and lichens suited to grow in their (remarkably dry) home.

Their tunnels are not, however, strong enough to stand the shaking of ground when...say, a mass infantry advance is underway, or large vehicles are advancing. At such times the tunnel networks begin to fracture, driving the worms into masses at the points of greatest damage, desperately trying to keep the specially adapted plants of their home alive, even at the expense of their own. The water of the swamp, you see, reacts with the alkaline bodies of the worms. Normally this isn't such a big deal, it introduces small amounts of clean water into the tunnel system for the plants to feed on, an strengthening the surrounding network where ever there's a leak.

En masse, however, the salts and heat from masses of worms being flooded in water combined with fractured (often powdered) tunnel material mixes together into an...EXPLOSIVE EXPERIENCE! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

tl;dr Worms living around the base that turn into fuckmassive mines when large groups of enemies advance towards us.

We avoid it by having specially reinforced roads to move in/out on, or by having Clora design a beast that distributes a neutralizing chemical underground that stays on standby until we need to walk out.
>>
Rolled 60

>>27705282
Its actually surprisingly quiet at our base this turn Monster Mayhem wise. Spill over from the swamp is just beginning.

You will have to ask Clora'Zel about the apparent teleportation.
>>
>>27705339

Can we ask Clora'Zel about the apparent teleportation? Did she have some brood over at that base and just took over it? Or did she go through the tunnels?

Poor Richard is about to feel the inside of a Brood Queen.

Clora amazingly grumpy that whatever she did didn't work went about fiddling with biomods to enhance mutations.

Prophet figured out how to upgrade the stealth so that it also effects non psi users. That was when Tabula showed up introducing a new crystal that he stated has 2 variants Stealth crystals and battery packs. Prophet was most pleased stating that we got the strain problem figured out if we use crystals or can even allow not to powerful or even non psi users to benefit form the enhanced psionic stealth.

Mad Science

Richard thought about creating alkaline worms it ended up blowing up a section of his lab. But according to Richard he got formula figured out now. So he sent the data to Clora'Zel.

That issue was addressed, twit. We'll find a way of limiting them before implementation so they stay confined to predictable zones, we'll also either have reinforced roadways or a fleshbeast that prevents the explosions from occurring for our troops.

>Basic 1
Send out scouts with Tabula Rasa, Wil, some of the psy-stealth devices, some of Tabula's psi-optic scopes, and a few of the crystal golems into the Wastes. The psi-optic scopes might let us find Psi-Corps bases through their obfuscation fields, the golems and Tabula are there to entice them.

Their task is to tell them that we have a large crystal grove in our base, but that we're about to come under major attack so we need assistance. We'll give them just about anything they want short of Tabula Rasa, mention that we have biological technology, bioborg technology, anything we need to to help.

>Basic 2
Send out a large force of scouts (along with a few strongarms) to EVE, also requesting assistance. Tell her about Richard and EDE and anything else that might help.

>Basic 3
Clora does whatever she was trying to that didn't work but now should.

>Mad Science

Please let us assume direct control when our troops get to EVE's base and encounter PsiCorp forces respectively.

They were refusing to listen so for once instead of the carrot she brought out the stick...monsters that would normally happily eat babbies in front of their mothers were brought to heel and started acting remarkably polite. Indeed I just can't quite wrap my head around this 'metal' and 'technology'.

To understand of course so that way I can counter it and even use it against them.

I thought you wouldn't understand you are after the most classic of our lot.

Yes but it kinda sad that not even Clora'Zel is here yet I mean we ARE in meeting in her hive for the sake of convenience.

Woah ladies I am just here for your cousin who couldn't show.

A long while later stuck between the bickering of two sisters Carl was busy trying to figure out the best way of removing his brain without killing himself so he didn't have to put up with it anymore.
About time you show up Zar'Xel, complained Mora'Zel.

Sorry, sorry its just that I ran into an old witch who I hadn't seen in a such a long time. We got caught up with catching up on how each other were doing.

Weren't you the one who got the Super Mutants panties in a bunch?

yeah sorry about that its just that entire portion of swamp...cleared.

Figured that would make you avoid it considering no place to hide and all.

I know I know its just to tempting for me. Finally get a crack at whatever was being concealed or worked on.

In any case oh Clora'Zel about time you show up this is evne your own lair anyway how are you-

Oh FUCK SHE IS QUEEN wtf WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE OR BE FORCED TO BOW DOWN, screamed out Mora'Zel.

...I don't believe in forcing all to become One...

I wut?

Well well Sister looks like her oddness just saved us Mora so shut up, stated Zar'Xel More importantly though what is that little...tike with you?

This is my daughter, clora'Zel said introducing her.

My god she is already popping out entirely new broods, muttered Mora'Zel under her breath.

Ah I wouldn't get to close to Alkazal little one she can can't stand even her own brood, warned Zar'Zel.

Son of a bitch, stated Mora'Zel upon witnessing the unbelievable. The heartless frozen harpy is actually...fuck I don't how to describe it even mentally.

And thus the family reunion continued between such being that even the elder gods like cthulu would of considered themselves in good company. Meanwhile Carl was considering ending it right there toying with is gun even he a mere mindless being can only withstand so much from such nightmarish horrors.

Bandits, underground, and the Guard. I would say zombies but they never seemed to directly target us quite yet.
>>
>>27710391
>Bandits
We could turn to the Hillbilly's for assistance. At the cost of sending Alexis to help Didrickson hunt for Vass, we send her as representantive and plead our cause.
The great hunter will have to go alone for Voss. (but this is an incentive for both to suceed and make it alive)

>underground
The ever present never ending battle sitting under us. We do have richard's advanced sprayers and spiders. A last great clash of tunnel warriors. We could also try. . .contacting the psionic presence that is sometimes felt down there (or did we already discover that)

>Guard
Are they not also the great enemy of all brood? Mora fought them well, heck I was hoping her wrecking their supply convoys would make them a nonfactor for a while.

Come to think of it, the Supermutants have 1 mobile fortress.

If negotiations goes well, we can ask that the Queen teach her daughter how to be a proper fighting broodmother against the last mobile fortress of their ancestral enemy. While the four other broodmothers go for the guard under Mora.

They're an enemy of the brood, sure...but why would they attack them now? To save us? Why do they care?

As for looking for Voss...I don't know. Maybe. Why would he come back to us though?

In the very beginning you would of suffered VERY HEAVY losses to kill her, then she evolved and could take on the Prophet on even ground. Without even getting physical if she did so she would win. Then she evolved AGAIN.
>>
>>27710898

I guess that our orders for the basecamp and everyone at it are

Repair the base and fortify
Train/prepare for the coming storm
Have Nova do his best to slow everyone's movement using his elemental powers

I don't know, want to launch a last-ditch attempt to try and find some secret in the tunnels? If we agree to throw all our military might into helping the brood-meeting going on downstairs help find their mother's secrets then we could probably get their assistance.

And if we got their assistance that might just be enough to survive this shitstorm.

Can we at least build them their promised home in the swamp, as planned?
>>

Eh-heh heh heh. We're at the point where even big psionics are an option again. Man we've fucked ourselves royally. That's a good idea, but we don't have power amplifying crystals. We've already made desperate calls to PsiCorp and Eve, but those will both probably end up fizzling. EVE likely would've helped us a long time ago if there weren't some sort of shackles on her, and PsiCorp likely built or is at least aware of the crystal grove in the wasteland so they don't have any particular reason to help us.

I guess we could maybe send someone over to the Glowz Krew, but they don't like us that much and we've been awful dicks to bandits in general forever.

We have 1 Marauder bombing run available, I think.

I thought we sent Wil off with the people to PsiCorp because he has a diplomacy bonus, but I guess not.

We should begin negotiations with the brood meeting. Let's start by asking them what they want.

As for our heroes...sending Wil and/or Alexis out to find Voss seems like as good an idea as any. Supercharging Nova King and making a giant storm sounds like a fairly good idea given the situation too, that'd prevent air forces from operating (including our marauders, mind you) and slow people down maybe allowing EVE and/or PsiCorp and/or Glowz Krew to make it to us in time.

Call in the Marauders to bomb everyone now, don't tell them about the incoming storm but wait until after their bombs are dropped to launch it. I don't care if they get caught in the storm, it's not like we'll be around to get retaliated against.

Tell the Marauders to get into contact with Glowy Joe and the Glowz Krew before they head in though. Tell them the biggest most glowy battle ever is about to go down in the swamp. Lotsa dakka and choppy like you neva seen before.

In the meantime, have everyone be charging up psionic batteries, and immediately after the Marauders have dropped their last bomb start the storm. The whole hivemind, the prophet, tabula, etc. AND all the batteries should be used to boost Nova King.

Toss our mini-reactors strapped with explosives out at the blockade of mobile bases, fuck them with nuclear-fusion fire. If that's not doable then strap them all together at the middle of Lair EDE and set them off when the most enemies are inside the walls.

In the meantime, have the Prophet and Tabula and whoever else building a bigger, stronger version of the psionic deterrence field. I want the monsters going 3 times as crazy, and 30 zombie hordes to come at us this time instead a paltry 5.

Tell the brood-meeting downstairs that we will devote our entire military might, excepting the troops that need to man our walls, to fighting through the tunnels to let them get at their mother's secrets, but only if they swear our enemies will be the first ones they convert into biomass.

Our heroes are free to leave or stay as they please after they've done the last requests of the hivemind. They can have whatever wealth they want, and we wish them well.

Psionic crystals have been prepared.

Nova Kong has errupted apparently he evolved himself into NOVA King and has begun to whip up a GIGANTIC elemental storm.

We're not asking them to become many, or even accept us. It is a simple economic trade of mutual desires. We will give them things that help them expand and evolve, what they desire of us, and they will help us in exchange.

The parting gift should be all of the Memor Mojo we have. We've had the brewery functional for a while and we're not going to need it. No one else even wants the stuff.

So I guess it would be wrong of us not to do something for our dear sister Clora'Zel with the whole hosting us right sisters?

They all agreed.

In that case I think we can hit two burns with one stone so here is what we can do...

Meanwhile in Bandits deploy their forces in mass...

Things crawl up from the underground.

On the borders of the wastes the alarms began to sound.

ITS the GUARD RUN FOR LIVES THEY ARE COMING OH GOD.

Fuck cursed the remaining officer at the bases seeing the massive tide of Guard approaching from the wastes. He heard screams on the radio stating that they had even begun pouring into the city. Shit there were even reports of them coming from the swamp in ships from the recently toasted area as well. "how did they know...They shouldn't have been able to."

The guard struck when everyone was beaten bloody and they had dispatched the majority of their forces...they were just going to clean up.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaTA3YLVNeI

The Prophet left his office and took to stand in front of the crowd of his people...he looked over at them heavy hearted that he had failed them so miserably.

"My people I come to this day to say that young shall be led away. Let the elders awash our selves in the blood of the enemy to redeem ourselves for FAILING our CHILDREN our very PEOPLE. Today we shall rain the hell upon the enemy so they shall ALWAYS remember this day and our children shall look upon this event to see that no matter what the Memor shall ALWAYS be a people of Kickasses that we shall ALWAYS fight to the bitter end. SO that they may FOREVER remember the mistakes of their forefathers and learn upon them. Now who is WITH ME."

The cheers of the Collective Overmind was such that even non psionics in the swamp and beyond could hear it.

With that the young under the care of the Clora'Zel they fled. Among the constant weeping of adults and elders saying farewell to their young. Making promises and tearful goodbyes. This was going to be the end. All of those remained knew they were not going to be able to walk away. Yet at the same time they also saw that heroes also chose to remain to the bloody end...

CLora'Zel insisted she wanted to stay but Richard stated that someone needed to watch the children, and he donned is suit of pure undiluted Mad SCIENCE. Before approaching the surface with a truly nightmarish array of 'experimental' objects.

That was when the ground begin to rumble and poured forth form the tunnels in gleaming armor was Volkendrad Elite Company and Secret Forces of the Marsh. They came to join battle with their leader known as Richard...otherwise known as the monstrous Dr Volk. The man responsible for the Fall...

From the hellish elemental storm marched for the massive bandit legions...and then the bombardments began from the mobile bases and what vehicles they brought with. That was when the Rods From God were deployed impaling the mobile bases. That was when ghouls erupted from their burrows from below along with Fleshbeast but they just kept coming. The onslaught was so vicious that it wasn't long before our guns ran dry...that was when for some reason we began to receive air drops of supplies to keep the fighting gold. On each package was a Kiss mark with a message "With Love from Marcus and Mox P.S."

We held them off until the ground began to rumble...and erupted from it were a massive tide of mutants and bandits. That was when NOVA King erupted from the ground leading the pathetic remainder of brood forces as he charged forth into the enemy surrounded by a literal halo of elemental energy.

Our forces were slowly being assaulted from all sides despite the truly Hellish storms we had air drops from ravagers descend on our forces. From all sides, down and below we were assaulted. Our forces were about to collapse before we could deploy the Deterrence field or steriods or even the doomsday weapons that was when the BOOM-City turned on. Over the gigantic Mics everyone heard DO YOU REALLY THINK WOULD MISS SOMETHING THIS SOMETHING OF PURE AWESOME. It charged forth wreaking such havoc that our engineers were actually able to build in peace and thus the deterrence field was deployed. By this time however we had Reavers and ravagers running amok even Super Mutants fighting along side bandits. Our forces were all about to die when the final one last FUCK YOU was deployed.

Monsters meanwhile all erupted so many in fact that the swamp shouldn't have possibly of had that many and then some but it did. From hibernating beasts who only awoken during god forsaken amounts of times to even the monstrosities trapped underground erupted forth. Not even monsters on the other side of the world or zombies for that matter were safe from this call.

The event was on such a magnitude that Psi users screamed in agony and people everywhere thought that yet another Fall was going to occur.

Everyone they poured forth fighting their way to that sole settlement at impossible speed. Even zombie strains and monsters from the world over were found fighting there in the swamp.

The resistance the Monsters and Zombies found most wanting.

Meanwhile in the City a large series of gigantic glowing zeppelins rose forth heading the clusterfuck of the swamp. The owners were none other the Glows Krew Raiders. The largest one of which on in the lead on the very tip of strapped to it was a glowing Figure screaming obscenities...that was the last time the Glows Krew were ever seen. Fighting alongside their dearest friends the Memor for one final time. Just as the memor shall be finished so too were the Glows Krew. Side by side. Charging into the hellish storm somehow they made it time to fight

Near the very end of the fight instead of the crystals being sent to NOVA King they were instead used by The Prophet of Fate, but not without warning.

You can't do this Prophet your people need you were their guide their savior tapping directly into this many crystals would be too much for even you, begged Tabula Rasa.

...It was because of me this all happened said the Prophet revealing a birthmark on him to Tabula which appeared as /tg/ this was what proved me to be that figure. I guided the my people I led them all this is my fault...plus the bastards thought I couldn't fight for shit. With that the Prophet plugged himself in.

The then GIGANTIC Elemental Storm also became psionic...and it sought out targets while moving with horrific intelligence and even will almost as if it was aware. It even became so large as to sprawl out of the swamp at an ever accelerating pace. Psi users from around the world and beyond felt that massive amount of energy as the Prophet decided to burn himself out like star and go Super Nova.

I don't know about statues, but apparently portraits of Glowy Joe riding atop Duelfists in front of the Supermutant mobile fort fleet charging down the fleshy walls to attack the heart are popular.

This on the otherhand deserves an entire mini-series of movies and a sitcom of our heroes as actually seen by the hivemind.

Sir why hire bandits. Against the Guard no bandits can in straight up fight.

They just need to buy time, answered Algeraz.

They did not hold for very long even with reinforcements. They did however hold just long enough for the Guard to find themselves being attacking from all around by Wasteland Mutants as they spewed forth. The zombies meanwhile could also be heard pouring forth from the Mega City and descending upon the Guard forces. Meanwhile in the distance one could see a nightmarish storm rapidly approach promising yet another Apocalypse.

In the city meanwhile spewed forth zombies, mutant zombies, psi zombies, zomborgs and their wranglers. poured forth it is said that so many came forth and infected humans that the city was seemingly empty for centuries. The zombies struck the Guard tearing open their APCs like paper and tossing their tanks around like ragdolls. They charged forth and then sent their attention to the swamp....

Meanwhile somewhere in the swamp crept along a Mobile Fortress surrounded by an army of Mobile Bases. That was when the ground began to rumble so hard that even the Mobile Fortress tottered despite being in a swamp. errupted forth from the ground countless number of Brood Spawn. So many in fact that shear weight of numbers pushed them to such heights as to tower over even the Mobile Fortress. There they fell upon them.

General Dukov could hear the screams and his forces desperately fighting. He will admit as he picked up his wine glass for one last drink before they come tearing through the door. He could hear the chittering, slobbering, and could even feel their hunger. He took was last gulp as he rose his pistol towards the door as it began to warp inwards. That he never expected for so many broods to work together much less there were actually this many of them in swamp. For that oversight he and his people were all going to die. After that lost thought the door went flying forward and came forth death.

From the West charged forth the hillbillies and redneck families. On a tearful rampage as they knew that they would never be able to drink such things again. Thus they fought their way to the EDE Facility just to be able to taste one last drink....They made it too.

From the East meanwhile charged forth Ramona in her vehicle of pure death freshly infused with EVE Tech along with a army of EVEbots. They charged forth meeting the Mobile Bases head on breaking through and charged towards the facility. There Ramon was seen doing her dance of death against apoclypic monsters, Super Zombies, and even taking on Mobile bases. With the bots secured A.I. EDE and Burke for getaway.

During the worst of the fighting. The Crystal Guardians finally sallied forth. Wrecking everything that was a threat and even somehow making the Apocalyptic Storm even worse despite the sheer impossibility of making it even more so. That was when the ground crumbled and crystals pulled themselves out and together...they were feeding off the energies of the Storm and arose a OH FUCKING GOD HAVE MERCY COULD BRING APOCALYPSE BY ITSELF ALONE Tier Crystal Titan arose. a Herald.

Meanwhile in an unspecified top secret prison. A man approached a shackled figure with two arms awkwardly held in a hi tech prison cell. They would of taken his bionic arm but it would of killed him and they had needed him alive

Do you have any IDEA what your 'people' have done?

Hahahwhwhahh, laughed the figure. I told you creepy runt pack was beyondmvicious. Guess you finally learned it huh HAHAHH.

It could of been stopped if you only said something...all those innocents, the carnage.

This just made the shackled figure laugh even harder.

HAHAH oh god I wish I was there puwhah.

The man walked away when the door closed behind him he turned around there on a plaque stated who was in the cell. Prisoner XB251 Name Warlord Duel Fist.

Epilogue

The young as not even many of the adults(fighters/not pregnant) or evne the elders were allowed to go. As they had a duty to accomplish. led by Clora'Zel and protected by her brood made a getaway to a faraway place and land. There she remembered what the Prophet had said to her...as she tended to her brood her family.

The storm meanwhile swept across the entire continent. Once it slacked of a united tide of Ghouls, mutants, and bandits swept across the continent wreaking even more havoc somehow. They were led had Ramona, the possessed BOOM-City, Voss, Vass and even Warlord Slag among their number.

Heroes Epilogue

Prophet of Fate was last seen literally aglow and falling apart from the sheer volume of psionic energy he wielded and directed. Countless numbers fell to him and it was thanks to him the Apocalyptic Storm grew so powerful and out of control it literally wrapped around an entire continent.

Richard the Mad Scientist and former Scientific Monstrosity. somehow survived the fight and continued his research deep in the bowels of his lab. Until one day a unexpected guest arrived. His daughter.

Brood Queen Clora'Zel found a home for herself and her brood. In afar away land but despite the enormous distance even the people here were painfully familiar with the Memor. She was lonely especially since her daughter left to find her father. But she was satisified as despite the everything her brood and family survived...she would be more then capable of doing something about it should a threat arise. As still no one knew her true power...after all got to keep the best for last just in case.

William Didrikson the Fifth aka Wil.
Spent his time hunting and going on adventures with the Alexis satisified...desperately trying to get into her pants. However he found himself having a bad habit of getting dragged around by Giggles whenever he got close/something or if not getting his ass kicked by Romona. He swears that once he FINALLY bangs Alexis he is totally going to show her that not all penises are fucking evil. ESPECIALLY his.

Alexis the Huntress
Spent her time hunting with the Noble Hunter who admittedly has grown on her, frolicked with Giggles(the apex monster of monsters thanks to its 'abilities'), and played with Ramona. She hunted so many things but ever since the day that the Storm brought forth she has never been able to enjoy quite as she used to. Considering how bittersweet it was and what they hunted.

Ramona the Immortal nano infused master pilot
Spends her time also trying to get into Alexis pants, raping women, tearing of the penises of men when they lose against her and racing. She even fought Wil once...she regretted that he revealed his true form and fought her in her RIDE to standstill. That day she discovered that he was in fact an Syn Addict, Augmented Monstrosity, and member of the a certain secret group. He was never actually human...just a monster even by mutant standards shit even by hers. Which is why deep down despite her greed and wanting to keep Alexis to herself she was also doing it to protect her...not that she would ever admit it.

Dr. Claire stayed behind to patch the wounded enough to let them fight once more or commit an act of mercy. She knew she was going to die when most unexpectedly when she seemingly died from her wounds. Found herself awakening in a strange pool where a certain which and even Broodmother was...and there she stayed. Happy to heal and grow things but most importantly not have to put up with the goddamn sexual injuries anymore. Ah pure bliss.

Got a hold of her friend a broodmother who she sworn had died long ago. She also established a coven and several scattered bandit bases. There she stayed after all there was just SO many secrets lurking in the swamp. At least once she got done going on the amazing bandit/ghoul crusade anyway. God was that fun plus talk about payback be a BITCH. That is what they get for throwing her out as but young girl not to mention stripping her of her own name as well.

Warlord Slag

Fought his way to the Memor base only to find Prophet there he tried to persuade him that the best of badasses didn't die but lived on to retire. Prophet refused saying he this was the price he must pay for his failure. Crest fallen and morose the retreated to his base. Where he was morose until his wife arrived...having succeeded in getting that youth elixer she wanted. After that her constant revitalized appetite was just too much for him so he went ahead and lead a united crusade across the continent to getaway. Which would forever be remembered. I mean did his wife care when her tits sagged, her cunt was such a trainwreck, and she had enough scars to make a Reaver blush NNOOO but once her ass started going...she never even had a nice one in the FIRST place.

NOVA KING
Met his end during the crusade leading a strange armada and causing much havoc. Apparently if the stories are to be beleived despite being the first in a fight and the last out of one. Eventually his body gave finally gave out. Not by wounds but the same thing that took out the Arch Brood King.

Tabula Rasa

A lone golem is found in the remains of that battle so long ago...surrounded by carnage carefully attending his grove. Which by then expanded so very much. If one found the golem one would be hit by the weight of an entire people...on those crystals however were carved the names of everyone who died. From the time they were born to the time they died. How they died, their firs kiss, all their life experiences everything...it didn't matter if you couldn't read it as the crystals would translate it and give you that person's entire life story.

There a moss covered golem roamed tending his grove, the memories, and the graves of those who had fallen. Overlooking it was a Crystal Titan which helped attend the grove and even protect it.

Accessing encrypted files from database and harvested memories beginning drop.

The Swamp was the result of bunch of labs experiments gone horroribly wrong...then it got flooded.

The Guard were military remnants who eventually rose up and began forcing their own good laws on the land. The common sense kind of laws. They were made up of entirely of mutants as they got mutated one way or another allowing them to surivive. Thanks to their taking out of Bandits and dealing with slaves they had an amazingly high female to male ratio. Recruitement wise they relied upon freed slaves, children, adn the occasional volunteer. As to join you 1 had to become a mutant and 2 enforce the Laws.

Giant maufacturing city supplied the Labs, city, and military with all manner of goods. Was inhabited by a Broodmother, bandits, and mutants,

Crystal groves have guardians that feed upon the energy inexchange for protection. After all they have potentially amazing qualties safeguards had to be developed.

EVE is an A.I. like myself originally she was supposed to be placed in this facility but thanks a mix up we got swapped. That is how we met and even kept in touch.

It should be noted however, that going too far back to a particular era of history leads to a strange disappearance of all memories pertaining to the senses and sensation.
Upon inquiry, presuming you manage to survive, Tabula can only note a sense of irk and display the image of a monstrous man or sometimes a scientist.

Prophet came from the Memor born and raised but was born with a certain mark. As for what he was it was a hero.

The planet is indeed connected by a greater plot(the Fall) but that is the only thing.

End of the World was caused by a Gigantic War, plague, natural disasters, and experiments gone horribly awry to put it simply. Was not entirely caused by the swamp though it certainly did more then its fair share.

Didrikson is a member of very secretive group capable of doing terrible things and were very capable with Syn.

You may vote for terrain(CHOOSE) and civ type also hero options will be given once choices are done(heroes give special bonuses as well as perspective). A hero can only do 1 action pure a turn. Also feel free to come up with fluff/ideas including factions/civ types it may even be used and you may get a bonus out of it too boot just make to include it in a vote or plan.

>Survivors get a bonus to salvaging and survival actions.

>Tribals get bonuses to scouting and Guerrilla warfare.

>Remnants start with a Tech specialty and gain a special unit because of this

>Government Civ is balanced but doesn't excel.

>Military civ is poor at Manufacture and Research early game but starts with a fortified base and lots of weaponry and trained personnel.

>Mutants get access to 1 free mutation(make one up) plus unnatural endurance thus can survive in areas that would kill normal humans. Unfortunately they suffer from a severe rep penalty(humies fucking HATE you, bandits don't like you and other mutants may see you as competition) and breeding issues.

>bandits have the special ability to auto upgrade their forces thanks to their life style(other factions have to spend resources AND a turn to do so bandits just do resources) however they are unable to make their own supply(must raid or something) and suffer a reputation penalty. *WARNING* white knight choices will be vetoed you are EVIL, but that doesn't mean you can't be smart/clever about it *WARNING*.

Homegrounds

Urban: Start with a large, gutted building with doors and windows boarded up, no reliable food sources.

Rural: Start with a small farm, less hostiles nearby, few places to scavenge.

Desert: Start with scarce water, scarce food, lots of space to build, more military and scientific locations nearby.

Forest: Start with nearby game and plentiful wood, monsters lurk the forests.

Island: Start in relative safety, fish are plentiful but irradiated, few nearby locations

Military Base: Start with small armory, reinforced buildings, old intelligence archives, MRE and ammunition stockpile, and tiny nuclear generator, but no reliable food source and attractive raiding target.

Science Lab: Start with extensive underground complex, scientific material to speed research, and experimental surface solar farm, but dangerous things lurking in some deeper labs.

Vault: Start with extensive underground complex, lots of raw materials, a geothermal spike, and a hydroponics lab.

Prison: Start with small armory, reinforced buildings, ammunition stockpile, but no reliable food source and attractive raiding target.

Feel free to come up with more these are basically where your HQ may be located in or nearby.

Aduro Industries and Umbra Corp, as one can expect of such named companies , shared a bitter rivalry that spans well before the fall. Always regraded as equals, even at their peak, their rivalry had great influence on the economic world.

Where Umbra Corp specialized in biological research, often shady or ethically questionable at the time, Aduro Industries specialized in technological research and in particular, energy research. They were rather more public with their works, often doing many fancy PR stunts and proclaiming the glittering shining cities of light of the pre-fall world their creation (but to be truthful, thes cities would've also been unsustainable Umbra Corps discoveries in the meidcal and biofield).

In particular, the Government was interested in their energy research. Lasers tanks, microwave satellites, these were small fry to the company. At it's peak, it once had a generator that was claimed to "draw energy from outside the known universe".

Since the fall, much knowledge of that particular project was lost but ever since the numerous corporate remants remants and government industries have been vying for even a shred of proof of its existence.

>Think Tank Remnants
>HQ: Research Facility/Vault
>Location: Desert

One of the more daring Research-Vault experiments. Vault 101 was meant to see what would happen when a population composed of mostly scientists was isolated for an extended period of time with assumed incompatible technologies.

The Hypothesis was that the residents would divide into opposing sects of mechanical augmenters, and psionic-users.

Instead, the population solved the integration problems in both technology and biology, and technology and psionics. They also temporarily turned their hands to political science after this quantum leap, (though they quickly became bored and went back to their more difficult pursuits) and formed a hivemind.

This miraculous step is made much less surprising when one is told that a brilliant scientist, known widely to rival the brilliance of the esteemed Dr. Volk, had been inserted into the lab on accident. He had recently faked his death so the assassins that his jealous comrade in science would be confused for a while, and the experiment designers mistook him for an average scientist.

Alright apparently Local Bandit Presence got the living shit beat out of them by both the nearby factions and threats. As in they are virtually nonexistent. Sadly this cannot be said of the monsters and zombies who maintain a good reasonably strong presence. Despite this Factio are quite prevalent.

Resources are low thanks to all the competition for them. So unlike this Civ resources are going to be an actual concern for you. Competition is stiff for them. Good thing bandits are no virtually nonexistent otherwise it would even be worse.

>>27716789
Desert has many facilties thrown around problem would be cracking them open to get at whats inside. The actual desert itself would be especially scarce. Would make an excellent place to have a hero with Ravage ability.
>>
>>27716789
Well to be fair, I'd imagine corporate remnants would have plenty of stockpiled resources, having survived this long. The vault in the meanwhile has not been getting any new supplies.

In addition, every business knows the importance of micromanaging your resources to their fullest efficacy. And we would have the energy bonus, diplomacy bonus for existing this long, where the vault would be stepping out to a new world have to rely on whatever ancient generators and supplies were limited to them.
>>
>>27716792

Has EDE/Alede ever said anything reassuring?
>>
>>27716822

Ravage ability?
>>
>>27716820

Think of an artificial hivemind, the fruits of endless labours into the energy workings of the mind. A sentient form of energy that can govern the masses will.

Plus, we get to actually have a bonus to weapons research. Railguns? Lasers? Nuclear energy? We'd make the surrounding factions such weapons look like toys.

Also, dat probability of hiring marcus
>>
>>27716824

In fact, Corporate Remnants have High Supplies and Thinktank Remnants have Poor Supplies (though I think research could circumvent that fairly well).

I'm not sure we'd get a bonus to reputation, because we'd be emerging from a private bunker or something. Or emerging out of a private bunker into a super-tower.

One such remnant of Adustro Industries hails from a particular branch which was in charge and had recently completed the "Mentis Industria" project. Based on oldworld and recent experimentation into the wavelengths and energies of the human brain (originally intended to wake patients from coma's or those in vegetative states) have discovered a way to artificially and technologically replicate the 'hivemind' that is more commonly found through biological mutation. This means that mutation is not a prerequisite for joining (however the same consent rules apply). Psionic users are therefore dependant upon both mutation and personal willpower, and as such numerous CEO's throughout the industries post fall history have been traditionally powerful mutants (though there have been exceptions of highly psionically active humans).

Some concerns Mentis Industria is that it seems to be influenced by the so called "otherworldy source" or energy.
>>
>>27716994
So megacorp with hivemind benefits and energy bonus?
We never did find a power source equal to the monsters of the swamp, and minireactors were a pain in the ass to purchase.
>>
>>27716858
>>27716858

We could build those weapons, energy sources, artificial hivemind, advanced medical devices, and more with Thinktank Remnants too (and it'd be easier).

But I suppose in the end people in the New Civ. creation thread will get to choose.

And fuck Marcus, I'll obliterate that guy (with moderate prejudice because of his supply drops in our endgame) when I see him.
>>
In any case though I am going to give you guys a free tip. figure out something that can deal with low resources and has good combat ability. Your going to need both. You choose something that is only good at one or the other or god forbidden neither your going to have a rough time.
>>
>>27716994

Oh well, I still lean towards the bigger research bonus, and particularly having unlocked bioborg tech (because that's honestly what we had the most fun with I think)
>>
>>27717028
I don't know about weapons, unless vault 101 is a dangerous place. Even then, our company would be founded on weapons research and we would have the edge over anyone else in energy sources. As for hivemind see >>27716994

>But I suppose in the end people in the New Civ. creation thread will get to choose.

>>
>>27717049

What ways are there of dealing with scarce resources?

Trade? Efficiency research? Would being able to have an extensive mining operation help?

Is something with high starting resources advisable?
>>
>>27717049
Basically this is how you should be thinking about.

1 can deal with low resources(including food, water, materials ect).
2 Decent war capacity(all them monster, zombies, and rivals)
>>
>>27717068

That's the thing, we'd be good at researching /anything/.
>>
>>27717078
Look at groups that have abilities that corrspond with it well. Such as high supply(only good for beginning) or abilities and so on.
>>
>>27717068

Just going to pipe in, we might not want to choose an archetype without strongpoint: manufacturing in a resource-scarce area.
>>
>>27717084
Think tanks and scorps are specialized. Its just that the think tank penalty for outside research is lower then then it is for corps.
>>
>>27717094

Sorry:

It might be unwise to choose an archetype *with* strongpoint: manufacturing in a resource-scarce area.
>>
>>27717084
Yes, a jack of all trades, but master of none.

>>27717080
>1 can deal with low resources(including food, water, materials ect).
E=mc^2. This is the formula for turning mass into energy.
However, this can also be reversed. Energy can be turned into mass.

That's not to say we can pull fleets of tanks out of our asses, but that we do have the capabilities. The issue is generation.

As for war capability, what should one expect of the great rival of Umbra corp for governmental contracts for energy weapons vs their bio weapons?
>>
>>27717114
That's why we choose an archtype with a strongpoint: manufacturing without resource dependency. That is, energy based weapons over material based weapons.
>>
>>27717116

(this is, of course, dependent on EDE confirming either of our rather cheesy ideas)

...Turning energy into mass isn't a practical thing. A spoonful of antimatter is enough to take out a good chunk of a rocky planet like earth, so that means that enough energy to create 2 spoonfuls of matter is enough to blow up a fair chunk of the earth...

Also, might I note that borgs are not resource intensive and get several combat buffs.

>>27717096
What are the "War" bonuses dependent on? We never were really all that good at fighting as the Memor despite having "Excellent" war waging capabilities.
>>
>>27717139

See, when I hear energy-based weapons I think "requires rare materials and delicate assembly lines to make", and that doesn't sound good for poorly resourced areas.
>>
>>27717116
while i like where your heads at even IF we had energy>matter tech it would require FUCKHUGE ammounts of energy just to get basic elements (unless ede grants science handwavium to make it efficent)
>>
now is all of this just brainstorming or is this all cannon that will be seen in the new thread?
>>
>>27717150
