Um.. Guys, I am back... ;_;

You are Otto Schulte a twelve year old girl on her way to destiny, you've spent a few entire days on a planet - the longest you've ever lingered on one in your life, right now you face down in your pillow, trying to ignore the pain shooting through your leg.

Last week we lost our close friend, stood behind chest-high walls and found out about the tower.

"Glory to the first man to die!"

Roll rules:

Lowest of first three rolls for things the character is skilled at doing.
Median of first three rolls for things the character is "capable" at.
Highest of first three rolls for things the character is utterly shit at.

You have to "beat" your stats (which for now are hidden by popular demand, this may change) so low rolls are good.

Cont post explained:If there is a post marked at the end with "cont" its becouse your QM is lazy, and can't type fast - or becouse he wants to give you the option to jump into the current events, or offer opinions, if none are offered he'll continue as normal

Disclamer in regards to Re:Spelling: I suck at spelling big time, if anyone actually cares its due to the fact I suffer from Dysgraphia, its the primary reason I got into RP in the first place, trying to practice my spelling. Its not about "don't complain about it!" but rather: "If you've got the time and want to proof read it great! But lets not clog the thread with it, send it to my E-mail! (Yes I do use a spellchecker)

You are face down in your pillow, resting inside the small two-bed room you've been assigned, its a bit cold - and your alarm have yet to go off, the small black box quiet on its stand. Sadly, either because some fluke of your body - or the low throbbing pain in your knee your mind refused to return to slumber keeping you awake, but at least comfortable. Its one of the ups of living on a planet - these "beds" are very comfortable, much unlike most of those on a voidship - the only exception being the hammocks(You remember your aunty having one of those you'd sneak a nap in when you go the chance). Truth be told the only issue sleeping on a planet was the quiet - on a voidship there is always something rumbling, squeezing, wheezing - quite frankly the silence was unmanning.

Still you muse, sticking a hand outside the blanket covering you, feeling the cold air outside.. you've got things to do today, and getting around on this knee is going to take longer then normal no doubt. There is the tower - and its mechanicus presence, in there they might be able to help with you.. lost friend, the poor data slate that took the blunt of a training las to save you. But there is also your first lesson to attend, "simple mathematics", and getting their early might be good, ensuring a good spot - and if you go now you might be able to catch an early breakfast.

You groan, before pushing yourself out of bed. Rolling up into a siting position trying to rub the sleep out of your eyes. Your leg hurt, your head hurt - actually, come to think of if almost everything hurt! Still, eyes lingering on the ruined slate resting on your cupboard.. its not the time to feel sorry for oneself now! Deciding that you are after all an adult you stand up straight trying to ignore the shooting pain in your leg. Its not as bad as yesterday.. but still it itches like mad.

Dressing quickly in the spare uniform resting inside the cupboard you head out, moving feels good actually - a wind blowing in your face from your steps.

Making your way across the empty school yard fills you with a certain ominous feeling, its hard to pin down and make clear just a gently feeling in your belly, a tingling in your guts making you feel a bit on edge - something was a bit off. Perhaps it was just the lack of people around..? Peering up towards the massive statue of the emperor battling all kinds of mutants and heretics, crushing them beneath him you can't help but focus on the carved eyes of the demons, glaring at you coldly.

That is, at least until you catch a whiff of breakfast from the low cooking building that borders the south wall. You can't say you recognize the smell, but its heavenly and seems to have your mouth salivating with just a few quick breaths of it. Tearing your gaze away from the statue (making sure to cross your hands in the aquila first, as is proper before an image of the emperor of course) you begin to walk towards the building with a certain spring in your step, and find much to your joy that there is almost nobody around! Its massive gates stand empty, rushing inside, pleased to avoid getting crushed you head towards its inner sanctums belly grumbling.

The room you finely enter is different from the previous two you've had the chance to dine in so far - rather then the low bolted down rows of tables lit by overhanging illuminators this room carries no internal lightning but instead gets its light from a series of large windows running along its flank - the early morning light shining in from them bathing the room in a pleasant if strange light - a bit to.. gentle for your personal taste, accustom to the harsh light of shipboard illuminators. Lumbering off in the distance several servitors seems to be cleaning the tables and the rows between them - a few figures are seated by the tables, but nobody you recognize. It seems its early still, the bulk of students have yet to arrive. Meaning more food for you!

Moving up towards the food intake you are greeted by a most peculiar sight as the multi-limbed servitor fills your plastic plate with the food for the day. First of all, its steaming - secondly its three orbs of some manner of bluish hue - nothing more. Curious you continue to stare at the food while maneuvering your way across the fenced in area that soon will host the rows bidding for food as alarms go off across the school, its quite different from most of what you've had to eat on this planet.. its spungy to the touch you can confirm while poking it. Before turning your gaze towards the room itself. You see a boy sitting with his back to you a few rows away - and further down another on. You don't recognize either of them.

Still pondering over your new strange food you linger on the idea of a seat for a moment.

>Sit alone, food inspection time.
>Sit by one of the boys (close one or far away one)
>Move to the door, sit down so you are easy to spot incase Angelina shows up.

I'll use these two then

Sliding towards the back of the room you find a seat in the middle - close enough to the servitor cleaning the hall without interfering with them, and about a stone throw away from the windows showing the view of outside - you can see the massive statue outside - and more and more people slowly exiting the buildings all around.

You poke the blue:ish ball of food with your fork, gently prodding the somewhat spongy surface and watching your spork sink into it. The sign aboard had called it "Baked Millin with ralin nut stuffing" - what-ever that meant, its still steaming hot however - which was odd. It was strange enough that food was so hot on planets, ship paste was warm sometimes - not all of it was, but some. But this was the first you'd ever seen steaming food - was it even safe to eat? You really wish Angelina was around to show you how to eat.. what-ever this was.

While grumbling over it you give the servitors lumbering past you a glance - they where big, three-armed former humans, cables and optical implants crowding what remained of their once humanoid faces, each limb seemed topped with some manner of scrubbing equipment meant for either table or floor. You wonder for a moment how long they've been working like that, where they cleaners in life to? One particularly bulky one seems to be working on slowly cleaning the windows. Returning your attention to your food you decide to simply sink your spork into its mass - and it splits! From its depths spills out a slow flowing brown fluid.. almost like mud, you suppress your sudden urge to gag and push the plate away, suddenly not feeling very hungry, the pressure of the plate resting in your chest pocket suddenly very real.

>What do we do?

>Eat anyway damn it, its just food! (Try and calm down)

Dm tiebreaker - we're eating the mud.

You grunt, take a deep breath then pull the plate close again, eyeing the brown slow flowing fluid... it reminds you a bit to much of the hole you spent time in yesterday, of the heavy las-gun in your hand, and the stench of soil. It was disgusting, but you're not about to waste food. Oh-no, trying to resist the urge to just throw the entire plate away you dig into the fluid with your spork and stuff it into your mouth in one quick swoop. Closing your eyes and expecting the taste of dirt, vomit and soil. But.. you're greeted by a very pleasant flavor, hot yes - but not as bad as you figured. It tingles in your mouth for a moment before you open your eyes to look at the tiny blue orb with a bit different eyes.

It still looks like mud.

Stuffing another spoon into your mouth you contemplate what to do next.. there is still plenty of time to attend the mechanicus, besides without a data-slate for school you'd never be able to take any notes either way, and then what would be the point? Stuffing another spoonful into your mouth you decide that you'd best visit the tower before class start, ensuring your friend gets the help he needs in the end. Looking down over the two remaining orb you are about to slice them up until you suddenly come to realization.. you could just use your hands. Grabbing one with your hand you realize that its not that warm, not enough to burn either way. Smiling you stand up, glad to have conquered yet another planet food - hand held food, clever.

Exiting out the building quickly you head towards the seven store thin building, "the tower".

Stuffing one of the small orbs into your mouth while walking across the courtyard you take notice of the slowly growing crowd gathering towards the breakfast area - you can't seem to make out anyone you recognize, a few faces you've seen before sure but nobody you'd remember the name off. Over head the sun is slowly raising above the mountains properly, bringing with it that odd burning warmth like standing next to a heated plasma vent. Its pleasant and seems to expel the cold feeling in your body that remained since morning, brushing away a swath of hair from your face you munch on the treat savoring the odd rich somewhat tart taste of it, letting it spread in your mouth. Today was starting to shape up to a good day. The tower loomed before you, large and imposing carved like an imperial spire, gothic and solid, creatures and saints and sharp tight corners adorning its sides all the way to its top, it seemed to cut the sun in half for just a moment as you approach sending its heavy shadow over you, you notice vents along its right side - spewing out a thing trail of smoke and exhaust, and upon getting closer you are greeted by the familiar sound of air scrubbers at work tending some large piece of machinery - it would seem there is indeed a cult presence inside, the red men bringing with them their powerful machines where-ever they go, ensuring the prosperity of the imperium with ceramite and plasteel.

Walking up the small staircase leading to the frontal gates you are greeted by the emperor himself, tall and proud - only its not his usual form, rather he sits on the golden throne, wrapped in the red cloth of mars - the "omnissiah", the emperor in his clockwork form. It was a beautifully crafted door, worthy of such a fine engraving of the emperor - and you are compelled to bow forward, crossing your fingers in the sign of the cog, deciding that using your uncles greeting was better for these things.

The doors loom above you, and you gently push at them, feeling the cold metal underneath your fingers hum slightly, it was reassuring after spending so long on a planet to feel the tremble of metal, living metal. Everything on the planet was dead, you'd slowly come to realize that the chairs, the walls and doors where all dead - unlike the ship where everything trembled with its own life. You'd accepted it, of course - but feeling the tremble of living metal again made you smile, and also made you realize how.. cold the planet had been. Without further ado you push against the door and feel them tremble and react to your request for entry - and before long they groan to life sliding upwards and revealing the towers inside proper, a corridor of winding pipes and the distant sound of pistons pumping - a smell hung in the air, machine oil and burning incense.

It smelled like home.

Taking extra care not to let your to-long and oversized uniform jacket brush against the dirty walls you continue inwards - this was your last piece of clean clothing after the incident yesterday, and while you had nothing against being dirty - you remember an off-side comment from Angelina about keeping once clothes neat, you feel a bit odd as you continue inside, hugging yourself to try and avoid the trembling pipes. Before long you enter into a larger room, dim cogintator screens shinning along the walls, various servitors hooked into their arcane workings. The trembling pistons you heard earlier viable through the wall on the other side. And at the center, tending a larger holographic table hunching over it with an Omni-Tool in hand stand a man in red cloth - his back turned to you.

You crane your neck trying to peer over the mans shoulder to see what the priest is doing, the omni-tool in his hand sputtering out a series of sparks as he pushes it into some manner of... internal item you could not describe for the love of you, deep inside the machine, opened up for the world to see you get a odd feeling just looking at it - as if stumbling on a doctor during a private meeting, but you can't seem to tear your eyes away as the man continues is toil, small whirling arms snaking out from the depths of his robes to attend the table - a holotable, it was a rare and expensive piece of technologic, you recognize it from having seen it once, your uncle had proudly shown everyone what his decision had the honors of maintaining one day. He'd even let you see it powered up, even if you can't really say you remember much what it showed - other then it could make images appear in the very air itself

>>27827977
Just as you where about to cough, alerting the priest to your attention he speaks up, a dry metallic voice amongst the low humming of his work station "Define purpose of visit" he states without pausing his work or turning to look at you, your not surprised he knew you where there, the adepts of mars always had a way of knowing if you where coming, perhaps the machines around you had told him of your arrival? Deciding to waste no time, and being as polite as you can you bow to him quickly (crossing your fingers in the sign of the cog) before asking:

"I've come looking for aid, for my data-slate have been damaged"

The priest pays you no heed at first before he slowly turns around, the mechadenrites snaking from his robes sliding into the safety of his flowing cloth and away from prying eyes - with the exception of the two large ones going out from his shoulders that just lower themselves into place, resting against the mans broad shoulders.

You stumble for a moment as the priest turns to leave before you managed to stutter out: "I- Um, c-could I have my old one.. restored..?" the priest stands still for a moment before turning to look at you, his right eye a hulking piece of technology that seems to dominate his entire right side face, all the way to his jaw - it whirls and refocuses you while his human left eye's remaining eyebrow raises to the air, as if curious, he talks again - without moving his lips, the old metallic tone calling to you again from somewhere in the adepts of his robes. "You, are strange - not forge worlder, yet used the cog and understands the machine spirit - attached to your slate, understands its value, what are your designation?"

"S-schulte sir" you mange to get out, a bit overwhelmed by the priest, you're not used to being around them, and you remember the reverence in your uncles voice when he spoke of the adepts of mars and their skills in machine - he'd often tell you and anyone that would listen about how he'd got the locket containing your family picture from a Engiseer after aiding him, it was a long story but you can't help but feel somewhat in awe of the large man wrapped in red cloth.

"Its been with me for.. a very long time sir.. and yesterday it..."

You explain the story of how the brave little slate saved your life, heedless to any damage to itself and how you tried to nurture it back into life with no success despite praying until you feel asleep last night. You explain how its the last piece you have to remember your home amongst the stars by, and plead for him to at least try and repair its hurt spirit. All throughout the priest remains impassive.. staring down at you with a cold blank stare, his mechanical eye whirling from time to time as it refocuses you. Finely you remove the ruined slate from your pocket carefully, holding the pale small piece of plasteel in your hand for the adept to inspect...

"I will attend it" he priests states as he snatches the piece out of your hand, lingering over it as several smaller mechanical arms flow out from deep inside his robes. "Return at nightfall" he says while turning to face the table again. You quickly realise that your not wanted as he gives you no more insentive to speak, and seems to ignore your pressence - the mechanicus pays little heed to things they deem unimportant after all..

You home in on primary, the large central building of the scholia - you've got math class to attend to, and certainly no time to be a heretic with some kids over by the fountain, being late on your first week? That would be horrible, just horrible. Putting on foot in front of the other you make your way towards the building just as the chrono hits 07.00 imperial, fifteen minutes to class start you make sure to look around for Angelina as you make your way there, but you can't really find her, no matter - you'll discover her at class either way. Ascending the stairs to primary you make your way across its internal wide open halls - through the first turn to the left, large windows running along the new corridor - lockers and doors to classrooms and lecture halls the other. Kids where walking amongst them - chatting away, and the air had a tinge of ink to it - musty like old hab decks.

You notice something strange however as you make your way towards classroom 104, all around you are people of your age - first years, no uniform was needed to tell you that. Even if you'd learned that it gets fancier the older you go, your one a plain black with a few red stripes. Their slightly confused faces and uncertain movement in those new jackets was a sign enough - you are sure you looked just like them, but why where they all staring at you? You hear whispers amongst them as you hurry past, everyone seems to be parting around you... avoiding eye contact.

...Nikkobar must have done something the double heretic...

Bursting into the classroom you scan the scene for him - but he's not yet arrived.. you notice Angelina sitting in the middle alone like usual, and also that several people are looking at you..

>What do we do?

>Sit with Angelina.
>Sit alone.

You make your way towards the center row, two tiers of stairs up the classroom - acutely aware of all the people looking at you, following your movements, a few even whispering and pointing at you. Feeling a bit flushed as you cram yourself in between the rows and making your way towards your friend tapping away at her own data slate you nudge her as you sit down alerting her to your presence. "Schulte!" she explains and turns to look at you, her eyes big "Is it true? You shot down one of the stormtroopers?" wide eyed you blink and stare at her. Stormtroopers? You didn't know the term, it sounded important - like a storm coundit in a plasma vent, was nikkobar spreading rumors about you ruining school property? "W-what's a stormtrooper..?" you manage to get out at last turning around to notice several nearby kids pretending not to listen to you.. but everyone have gotten quiet.

"Stormtroopers - the big shots that are assigned here, they say you shot down a stormtrooper from the light Iarlu 141:th, they are Grenadiers Schulte!" she says, grabbing your shoulder and leaning closer "You don't just shot down a Larlu light infantry, they are stealth experts! How did you manage?" you tilt your head, remembering the two men whom had approached you in the trenches, one of whom you'd shot in panic "..A..Am I in trouble Angelina..?" you stummer, suddenly realizing why everyone was looking at you... a feeling of fear in your belly as you remember the red-hatted man executing that poor boy yesterday.. the gore suddenly flashing to your forebrain as you see his eye resting on the ground before being crushed again, a sudden urge to vomit comes over you before Angelina continues. "N-no I don't think so but, everyone's been talking about it, everyone!"

"How did you do it..? - Why diden't you tell me! I heard it this morning over breakfast"

>What do we do?

"W-well, I shot him out of panic. I heard them approach my hiding place, and shot before I could see. As for not telling you, I didn't know what I had done was at all notable. Shooting someone out of panic didn't seem like a proud achievement. How did you fair yesterday?"
>>

This. Maybe add in something about how it was all instinct/reflexes. Whatever do, DONT tell everyone we were just a scared little girl shooting in blind panic, even if thats the truth. We can tell Angelina that later in private.

"I, uh, I'll tell you later." You say, hunkering down in your seat slightly as if trying to get away from prying eyes, deciding it be best if you just look straight ahead - you can hear a murmor go through the crowd of people as you feel your cheeks go hot. Angelina seems a bit unsatified as she raises an eyebrown "It was just instinct really - I'll tell you about it later!" Geeze, why are planet borns all so inqusisitive, its not like you wanted the shoot the guy, you sorta just, did. But, perhaps with this Nikkobar will finely lay of your behind for a few damned seconds. Your friend sights, seemingly accepting this explenation for now - but you've got a feeling she'll be grilling you for details later, which is fine you guess - she's alright for a moldy planet born. Its the others that are the issue. The small talk is cut short however as a large heavy set man enters the classroom carrying a data-slate. He pays the class no heed while walking up to the blackbord.

Your math class begins.

>And with that, Commissar will have his quick coffee break. We'll be back in 10-15 minutes.

1 xeno + 1 bolter = Praise the emperor

The math class passes by rather quickly - it was interesting but the teacher was a bit dull - droning on the important of figures and their proper values. He'd used skull probes to draw circles and other shapes on the giant blackboard, and have the class observe as he used the advanced skill to turn the figure into sections - and using simple arcane formula again and again guess their correct size by knowing just a few sides. It was interesting - and you wish you'd had the ability to take notes (Angelina offered to share her notes with you later, once your slate is back much to your appreciation) but in the end you could not shake the feeling of people looking at you - you think you caught the teacher glaring at you from time to time as well, but it could just have been your imagination. Once class ended you rushed outside, dragging Angelina with you unheeding of the cries of protest from all around you as you bump into people or otherwise cause a scene. Taking refuge in nearby sanitarium you groan while leaning on the wall, looking out over the small toilet cabinets - nobody around.

Good.

"So... schulte, you about to tell me what this is all about?" Angelina states, with a light smile - clearly a bit amused at your annoyed state. "Oh come on, I just panicked alright? You know, twitch shoot - and he was down, I don't want to cause a big scene - why's everyone so interested?" she nods once, walking up to the mirror to look at herself while talking to you - apparently taking the time to correct her fringe since she's already here. "Well.. the rumor has it you refused to back down when they told you practical was over, and you fought four stormtroopers off, downing one - apparently you'd reinforced a section of the trench and ambushed anyone that entered, they even say you shot a guy that was down so bad he's still in the hospitalia"

You lean back your head and place a hand over your face before breaking into the real story...
"So you where pretty much just doing what everyone else was doing...? Nice idea with the boxes by the way, I just kept running around hoping not to run into someone" Anglina states, looking away from the mirror "Got three guys however, most people seemed to afraid to even fire at me, guess they've never seen a gun before." - "Its my point exactly" you groan back "I was just doing what everyone else does, and now people are looking at me weird - it was enough just living on a molding stinky planet thank-you-very-much" you finish of with a slight tone of contempt and amusment, unsure even yourself if it was a joke or not. "Still, how about we just keep quiet about it - hope it all dies down by itself?" you ask her, to which she shrugs and tells you she won't tell either way - besides she adds, it could be fun.

The two of you exits the laverites and turn to your own class scheme - another three lessons today, and no practical. After that you've got some time for dinner.. and more importantly aquire your slate.

>Time skip avaliable.

>Do we want to skip a-head to getting our slate back?

>Additonal QM notes: This is probably how I will deal with time skipping in the future during threads - I'll be asking you if you'd rather we skip to the more important parts, for between thread times, I'll inform you about how long time have passed and what Otto's been up to since we last saw her in the OP. Classes passes in a blur, they are interesting - history in particular that took up things about the great crusades. Its after the day have passed and the sun have set once again (such is life on besvir, a planet with only fifteen hours a day) that you finely find yourself standing before the massive tower again.. a certain feeling off anticipation in your guts as you casually approach the door. The day so far had been similar to the first lesson, apparently the rumor was on fire by now - it had gone to an entire squad of stormtrooper, and you'd nearly killed two of them. You'd noticed a few of the adults lingering after calling out your name in class - if it was a good or bad sign you could not tell sadly.. and talking to a teacher after class was like trying to hold water in ones hands. They where the last to enter and first to leave.

Still, the familiar smell of engine grease and sacred oil hits you as the doors part way for you, allowing you the access of the mechanicus building. You know the administratum had a hand in this building as well - but that was up on of the staircases near the entrance - and by the looks of things they where closed for the day. (Like always, emperor damn them) No, the hum of pistons at work and the faint smoke in the air truly made this feel like a vessel of the void - all that was missing was the gravity flux and the groan of the ships super structure. Following the path you took last time you exit out into the same hold - finding it empty this time, aside from the ever-present servitors tending to the four cognitators inside. You notice the roof is mostly covered in cables, all drawn towards a center point and then upwards, giving the room an almost church like feeling of an arched roof.

"H-hello?" - you call out.

"Remain stationary, I will attend you shortly" rings out in a metalic tone from somewhere - you can't quite seem to place it, but you recognice it as the voice of the tech priest from before, a certain rasp in its base tone making it quite easy to place despite the noisy clicks of the servitors and low throb of the pistons in the back. For now, you take a look around... there is the holographic table that seems to have been repaired - if the lack of its guts being visable is any indication - and the flashing cognitator screens.. there are also a few shelfs containing odd looking techy items resting on the otherside of the room.

The adept did tell you to remain stationary, might be best not to touch anything. You mean, if you did - something might break. But.. looking is alright. Probably. You first gently creep across the floor towards the cognitators on your way across the room - tempted to look over those odd techy-looking items on the shelf. Looking over the shoulders of the servitors it seems they are attending the scholias ventilation and power consumption systems, security for the gates as well.. you can tell by the flashing symbols on the screen that "everything is alright" - its what the green skull means. At least, that is what it meant on the ship. Continuing your curiosity streak you approach the shelf - the items are of varied design, and you can't really tell what they are for, ones some sort of cross - another looks like a piece of a pipe. On in particular is interesting, a tiny piece of something with a slowly rotating stick attached to its top, you lean in closer interested in seeing how the thing is connected when suddenly it lets out a spark of lightning, arching itself around the stick for like a snake coiling around a tree - startled you fumble backwards, grasping for something to stop you from falling

You grab the nearby table, that suddenly roars into life. Turning around you see the once black screen of the tables top light up in green shimmering light, spreading out across your visual spectrum - buildings appear for you to see, you recognize the layout of the scholia - seeing the tower, the dinning hall some parts are obscured by large unknown symbols or lines of scrolling text in a language you can't seem to either read, or keep up with. Panicky you realize you've just done something really bad, your probably not suppose to touch this thing... waving your hand in the air as if trying to swoop away the pictures does nothing aside from moving them around, enlarging parts or shrinking them. You feel cold sweet run down your neck

>What do we do?
>>
>>27831440
Calm down, realize that as long as you don't touch anything, nothing bad is likely to happen, prepare sheepish yet totally innocent face for whenever the tech priest decides to enter the scene.
>>
>>27831440
Time to calm down and try to find a way to turn it off. If we continue to panic it will only get worse.
>>
>>27831440

Nothing you do seems to be really helping as you wave your hands over the various scipts and images on the green display - useless information keeps flowing forward and the more of the tiny boxes of information you swat away with wide hand movments the worse it becomes! You try everything - pressing the red areas, yellow areas, hell you even kicked it once in desperation, but to no avail - the massive table remains impassive, continuing to work heedless of your care. You take a deep breath, trying to calm yourself down slightly, as long as you don't touch anything important you should be fine... it came to life when you touched it.. so perhaps you should just.. stop touching it, you know some cognitators awaken only when somebody is close by. A life ombord a void ship have told you that much.. you take a step back. And remain completly still... a moment creeps by as the table suddenly powers down, going black again.

... safe...

A minute or two passes before a familar voice calls out again. "I've mended your slate's spirit." - turning towards a sudden opening in the wall - where a door you diden't even notice amongst the pipes and carvings on the wall seemingly had opened - stood the man in red cloth, in his mechanical hand resting a white familiar slate.

Your data-slate.

Slowly progressing, expect an update on that in a thread or two - especially now that we're exiting the character introduction phase - I can focus a bit on refining the and clarifying the game rules. Got a few more characters and stories I want to toss at you of course to lead you into the first big story arch.

>>27831983
I use this as my "writing a week thing" - doctors orders that I try and write once a week to combat my writing difficulties, outside of Uni work. So, for as long as I've got to do regular writing to ensure I don't slip into not being able to string two sentences togheter to save my life. And I've got another five years of Uni to work through. Either way, how long realistically? Well, I want us to get through year one of the scholia which is a few months. But at the moment I've got no big "ends" in sight, I've got enough story in this to continue untill we've graduated to Commissar, and once that is done the sky's the limit in terms of giving you guys adventure.
>>
>>27832036
Unless of course, our character dies which becomes a distinct possibility now that we've exited the prolog - in which case I need to make a new quest, or something.

Do you think it would be possible to try and learn some stuff from the cog boys? I know our end goal is to be a Commissar, but would it be possible to get in good with the cog heads and learn a little from them?
>>
>>27832259
You could try and learn something - in the end it depends if you can convince the priest to share his secrets without angering him or otherwise, and even then there is a lot of things you'd need to become an adept yourself to learn, just becouse your destined to become a Commissar dosen't mean you can't try and learn other skills - if you can convince someone to teach you - and have a valid reason to be interested IC'ly.

I can't say either way, if it makes sense at the time and you can pull it off its fine.

Maybe there is a young Tech-Adept here who happens to be learning from the Tech-Priests here....
