As much as they'll try and pitch that being able to build witch-planes or whatever will hell the war effort, we have no guarantee of any R&D anytime soon. We'd be much more effective as a freelancer than as a test pilot.

Also, I doubt we'd actually resign, since it's been previously established that just about everyone in the squadron would also resign, and that's a major bomb for anyone in multiple ways. MAD worked for a while, so I'm pretty sure it'd work here.

I say we do it. Having more teams like Frank and Merlin might be what helps win the inevitable martian war.
