YOU ARE LOLI,

You're in a dingy room with concrete walls. You're pretty sure you're underground. At least, there are no windows.

The room is filled with figures, most sat leaning against the walls, one or two stumbling about. They're all wearing black armored suits with metal supports and full face breathing masks.

The man lying next to you rolls over. "Where... am I...?" he asks no-one in particular.

You don't answer. Because you don't know either...

You’re crying. You’re in the woods.

In the woods? When did you...?
You don't remember why you're crying, but you know you should keep going. The others know where you are, so nothing will go wrong. You keep running.

Eventually, you run into the midst of a group of men. Besides their initial shock at your presence, they seem friendly enough. One of them asks if you're in need of any help.

[ ]Cry and hug them.
[ ]Ask them for directions.

With a squeal, you jerk your head upright. There's a thin layer of sweat coating your forehead, but you're still in the underground room. The men around you don't seem to have moved at all. You... fell asleep?

You check your own state. You're still more or less dressed as you think you should be. You have your vest and your backpack, your cargo pants are held up by your pink leather belt, stuffed into your socks, and your chest is wrapped in loose, dirty bandages.
Looking around the room, you can see that there are sparse luxuries but this appears to be some sort of staging area. There are cots lining one side of the room, ten in total. There appears to be a food storage area in a dark corner. The vast majority of the floor space, however, is taken up by guns, ammunition, explosives, body armor and other combat equipment.
On the far side of the room from you, there appears to be a thick rusted metal door, barred shut. It's clearly been in frequent use judging by the large scratches through the rust layer.

"What's... going on? Where are we?" you direct a question to the man at your side. Your voice is somewhat more flat in its delivery than you intended.
He doesn't appear to register your presence as he begins muttering to himself, head in his hands: "Why? Why would I... would I do that? It makes no sense. The way he speaks is off-putting to you somehow, but you can't place it. He's not being helpful though, so you stand unsteadily and cross the room to question another man. He looks up as you approach.

"Ah. Haha. Giltinė. You've come for me now, too?" It sounds like a statement, but something tells you he intended for a question inflection in his voice. "I suppose that's only fair after... after that. A shame. But this is the way of things here, isn't it?" The entire delivery is in monotone. And this guy is being less helpful.

Looking about, you see only one man who appears to be in his right mind. You head towards where he's standing near the door. You try to ask him instead. He stares blankly at you for a moment, then answers: "Ah, Giltinė. You were real? This is... I don't know what happened, but we seem to be free. For now, at least." As the others, the same flat and emotionless voice passes his lips, but somehow you detect a lot more emotion in his words. "I would suggest we get out of here before they come looking for us to see what's wrong."

You skip out into the open. The...open?

The group of men you'd been watching for a while immediately fan out into a defensive formation, as if expecting an ambush. Hah. It's cute, really.

You wave jovially at them, "hi! Could you help me out? Pretty please? I just dropped my bag down this hole and I can't reach it! It's not far~!"

The leader of the group waves his gun at you. "No, get out of here! We want nothing to do with you!" He looks pretty serious about it, fingering his trigger and everything.
The men either side turn to look between you and him; taking their eyes momentarily off the angles they were supposed to be covering. The air is filled with the hiss of silenced rounds as four of the five fall soundlessly in a cross-directional spray of blood and brain matter. As the leaders' eyes widen in terror,

You clutch to your temples, falling against the metal of the door. You definitely weren't asleep that time. Just what was that?
You need... you need to get out of this place! You struggle for a moment trying to lift the metal bar out of its socket, then drop it to one side with a clang. A few heads turn to watch you, but it doesn't matter. You just need to get out.
You snatch at the handle, ripping the door open. There's a small flight of stairs leading to the open sky. You try to lift your left foot up the first step. It's effort. So much effort! You bring your foot down and try with the right. That is no better either. You can't walk up stairs...

You struggle through, though. That sky is so appealing. The freedom awaits you, it's within your grasp.
It takes longer than you could possibly imagine to climb such a short flight, but you make it; stumbling into the open. The surroundings are completely unfamiliar to you, and you begin to trudge your way about the streets.

The way the rubble is strewn across the road almost reminds you of a minefield...

You wave. You call out to them. You tell them of the minefield before them. Of how you're trapped in the middle. There's a way through the minefield, and you're trying to follow it, you say. But now you can't get out, you say. If they can follow your instructions, you can lead them a little ways in, then they can get you out.

You lead the first of your helpers several yards into the minefield. When he's a good distance in, you tell him to step to his right. His foot lands on a mine. You see his eyes widen as the audible click sounds; an instant later he is engulfed in a cloud of dust as he's tossed away like a ragdoll.

His friend barely has time to call his name before you flick your pistol up and place a round clean through his eyeball.

The scene of him lying in a pool of his blood, right leg missing and hand terribly charred, is just incredibly entertaining. You double over in hysterics, one hand holding your stomach, the other pointing at his face.

It's almost as funny, you think, as that time you came across the artifact hunters desperately trying to find their way through the anomaly field. That one was even easier to convince them. After all, you skipped through the anomalies in seconds (what with having previously memorized the layout). They came in after you, following your instructions to the letter. And then, as they stood in the center of the field, you instructed their detector carrier to place himself in the anomaly, which he did without question.
His screams as he was engulfed by the flames will stand in your memory forever, you think. The smell as his flesh roasted was such a sweet one.

It's a miracle you managed to keep a straight face as they tried to help him. They even bought it as you claimed innocence and led another one into a different anomaly as he tried to assist his friend. You press yourself against a nearby car for support. These are... memories? They can't be. This is insane! You have... almost a month's worth of memories!

Don't think about it. Just don't think. Get out of here.
As you walk, you realize you're stumbling along the road in the midst of a number of other people. They all have a similar, shuffling gait. Most are staring blankly up at the glorious sky above you. None are in clothes of good state. Many have weapons held lazily in their hands.

You start to look about, trying to place just how many there are. A voice interrupts your counting.
"Huh. A zombified girl? Never thought I'd see that in the Zone." You bring your gaze about to face the voice. A man is stood just a few feet from you, clearly different from the others. How long has he been there?
"Aw man, she saw me." He raises his gun and fires once.

The impact knocked you flat on your back, winding you. You cease all movement as your mind tries to catch up with what just happened.
You still feel the ache in your chest from where his round hit you. You're... wearing your vest, though. It didn't penetrate.
As you catch up to your situation, you feel the sluggishness in your limbs begin to disappear, and the haziness in your vision begins to clear.
The stalker is kneeling above you now. He's not even looking you in the face as he begins to run his hands over your modest chest.

This is a rather uncomfortable situation, but it's alright. You've been taught a surefire way to get out of situations like these. At the top of your little lungs, you scream "RAAAAAPE!!" The man does indeed immediately stop his groping in order to gaze in terror at your open and alert eyes, before his head snaps about to check the area. He clearly doesn't like what he sees, as he darts off into a side alley. You sit up to see what he was looking at: every person in the road is now raising their weapons and rotating slowly to face your direction. You have time to scan for and locate two possible locations of cover before the entire airspace above your head is filled with gunfire.

Getting the distinct impression that remaining here would be bad for your health, you scarper into the alleyway after your would-be assailant. The gunfire continues, a few rounds ricocheting their way into the alley with you. You rush the length of the alley and come to split. As you try to decide which direction to run, you hear more gunfire coming from your left, interspersed with a different type of fire- a distinct thwacking sound, like the

soUnd Of yOur BroTheRs dEscEnDinG upOn tHeiR prEy.

You shake the thought out of your head and make after the sound of the silenced rifle, away from the looming shadows of the large buildings behind you and towards more open skies.

As you round the next corner, you find multiple bodies lying in the street, blood smattering the areas around them. They were killed efficiently, you can tell that much. You follow the trail of death along the street, ducking in and out of cars, trash and rubble littering the way, the noise of the gunfire quickly growing fainter as you cover ground.

Soon enough, you reach another corner, and you can see that the suburb suddenly ends, the landscape rolling away into a bog before you. In the middle of the bog is a pyramid-shaped white bunker surrounded by manned barricades. As you slow to take this in, you hear a heavy breathing just around the edge of the last building from you.

You press yourself into the wall and ease your way along to the corner, just far enough that the periphery of one eye can see around it. There are two men standing not a yard from you.
"Nice and quiet, you said. I could hear that scream from here. The hell was that, man?"
The second man replies between gasps for breath "Some girl... there was some girl... a zombie, so I thought. Shot her, but... she wasn't... dead..."

Well, it's nice to know that he didn't want to kill you for the sake of it.

"Did you at least get some loot then?"

Your assailant finishes catching his breath and straitens up. "Didn't have time, I was rifling her pockets when she woke up. Brought the entire goddamn horde down on me, so she did. Did manage to grab her pistol, though. It looks in pretty good nick."

So he wasn't trying to take advantage of your vulnerable form, either. Somehow you have mixed feelings about this.

"Aw cack. Well, this was a good old waste of time, then. Let's just head back and call it a day." The first turns to leave.
The second glances once over his shoulder towards your corner, then moves after his comrade.

Before he can get any further away, you spring from your hiding place into the open behind the two. "Uhm, hi!" They spin to face you, reaching for their weapons. "I'm sorry about the whole thinking you were going to rape me thing. Can I please have my pistol back now though?" You beam at them with as much innocence as you can possibly muster. It's at least enough innocence that they don't shoot you, but apparently not as effective as it usually is judging by the mixed reaction of suspicion, confusion and abject terror playing across the mens' faces.

"Uh... Giltinė, hah. Yeah, sure. Uh. Your pistol? No worries, you can have it." Your assailant gingerly draws your gun from his belt, holds it at arms reach and gently drops it to the floor before backing away several paces. "So... we're good, right? No hard feelings? We'll just be... on our way now."

You tilt your head, questioningly. They apparently take this as a sign that the conversation is over, as they both break and flee down the ridgeline behind them, rushing headlong deep into the bog.

That was... different. Well, whatever. You lean down and pick up your gun, wiping the barrel off on your leg before slotting it back into its usual home in your belt.

Looking about, you only really have two options. You could head back into the urban area behind you, or forge on into the swamp.

From here, you decide to

From the top of the ledge, you could see a number of manned barricades, but from down here the swamp brush is obscuring a lot of your vision. You'll need to get closer to work out what's going on around here.

These bushes are a nuisance. They're not thick enough to hide behind, but they're near completely blocking your view of anything going on. You press on further in, trying to find a spot where you can observe the bunker from. You find yourself getting closer and closer, but the brush just isn't letting up. If anything it's getting thicker, as it tags on your clothing, pulling you off balance and generally rustling about as you pass.

[-1 Stealthy]

Before you know it, you're almost on top of the nearest barricade. The two men at it are chatting happily, luckily covering the sound of your movements. You can't quite hear what they're saying though, so again you move a little bit closer.
You lose your footing, falling sideways to brush heavily against the bush next to you; at this precise moment, there's a lull in the conversation.

>To be clear, you didn't crit. fail. Loli is still mostly sane. You should see some of the notes I have for if you guys had crit. failed the roll, or lost all Will points this thread.
>Although the crit. success to the resist roll would've been GLORIOUS. If it weren't for that pesky Nat.1 rolled right before it...

[X]Reveal yourself.

You try to stand up straight, only to find one of your legs has sunk deep into the mud.

"Hi there!", you chirp as you rise above the bush. "Don't mind me, I was just passing by-"

Your attempt at explaining your presence is cut short by the guard's response. "Giltinė!" He snaps his rifle up to you, "Giltinė is here!"

His buddy takes up the call, "ALAAARRRRRRRRM!"
Somewhere inside the base, a wailing siren cranks into action, alerting every guard in a rather large radius. More importantly though, you have these two to worry about!

"Still" sane implies "relative to her previous position". Now I really want to know what would happen if we fucked that roll.

The first guy pulls the trigger, but you were expecting it so you've already started moving. Your leg being stuck makes the first bit awkward, but you use it to your advantage. Throwing all your weight to that side, you topple in an unnatural arc with completely throws the guard's aim. As you hit the ground, you begin a roll which rips your leg free of the mud in a smooth motion. Low to the ground, you continue your movement under another line of bushes, quickly gaining visual cover from your opponents. Pushing yourself to your feet, but staying very low, you move at a rapid pace along the bush line parallel to the barricade as both guards open up freely into the bush you rolled under.
The moment that both of them cease fire to reload, you stand to your full height and sprint for a good 50 yards before dropping into a defilade. You can see more guards fanning out to cover the ground ahead of the direction you were running. But that means the gap behind them is now clear. Poking your head over the edge of the little ditch you're lying in, you can see the entrance to the white bunker is not only unguarded, but the front door is open!

[ ]Fight your way through them.

[X]Rush for the bunker.
We should take a break from killing everyone.
This Giltinė business is making first impressions rather difficult.

precisely, which is why we should cut back on the merciless killing.

No, it's why we should cut back on the uncontrolled killing.

Agreeing with this. We're still in the Zone, being able to mercilessly shank a bitch will definately be needed. We just have to attempt to apply ourselves to find Non-Killy Solutions to problems.

It's hard to picture a more inviting image than this. You alter direction and rush for the bunker door. You hear shouts and panicked yelps behind you, and several shots are fired wildly in your direction, but none come close enough to concern you. You leap over the threshold and pull the huge metal door shut behind you, spinning the wheel to lock the seal shut. Heaving a sigh, you turn to see what's inside. Only to be confronted by an identical door. As you take a moment to consider this revelation, an ominous hissing sound builds up in the walls either side of you. You look up, trying to follow the source of the noise, to be greeted by a blast of air in the face.

You reflexively look away downwards, as the entire chamber is filled with the thick smell of chemical spray. After a few moments, it ceases. You seem to be pretty much unharmed. There's the sound of a lock unbolting on the inner door, and the wheel spins to release the seal.

As the door swings itself open, an older man stands before you, clad in a knee-length blue coat sporting a thick silver beard.
"Ah, welcome to the lab my dear. I was rather hoping you might stop by. Would you mind coming in to join me for some tea?"
