I need to know a few things first. How fast are Amisi and Kyorn as compared to our mech? How much punishment can they take before they're pretty much fucked? Also, in the event our or Two's (preferably hers) gets wrecked enough to be unable to continue the fight and he retreats standard operating procedure is to just let them go and use our still functional mech to retrieve or fully destroy the other mech correct?

Amisi is tough, really, really damn tough and got insane regeneration to boot while Kyorn is a hero and, while his endurance may not be quite o nthe level of Hadraniel, he can still take some serious hits before chekcing out.

And in the events of one of the super armor being randered inoperable, the usual method is to safeguard the pilot and destroy the remains if possible.

Also I've got to check out for the next 10-15 minutes or so, so I'll start writing or answering questions afterward.

I think Two/Ahriman's gonna freak out twice. First is when she sees the worm, the next is when she sees Kyorn.

I know he's famous, but how famous? Only diehard fans of the 13 heroes (lots of them) or is this something every child learns about from school or parent's lectures.

Because as far as I'm seeing it he's got a pretty damn unique appearance. You say "Long pointy ears, black raven wings, and transparent weaponry" and the other guy says "Fuck, that's Kyorn the Maurauder."

Ok then, provided Kyorn is crazy fast like I think he is all he has to do is wreck a mech or hold out for like 10 mins and cheese it.

I do feel sorry for the soul in there though. Is there any sort of core to recover? Because if so that O.P. makes sense. Blow the other shit up so the enemy can't try to reverse engineer or use it, then grab the most important bit and scram.

Barely waiting for your nod, the Hero black wings flaps a few times, creating an eye of wind around him that quickly launch him in the air where he literally stop, his silhouette a perfect statue in the dull gray of this artificial sky; the way he fly is very direct and brutish, absolutely nothing in common with the strong invasive grace of Hadraniel.

He and the worm exchange a glance, the row of many blue eyes clears up as the foggy sapphires gain a strange, unique glower; she seem to acknowledge something as the inner mouth open and close a few times in that many wet smacks, then its body coil and she lurches forward; smacking into the rotten woods and metals, her 5 meters long body utterly crushing and trampling whatever unfortunate items to be in her path she even goes and smack through the eroded wall, her oversized body ramming into the stones a few times and causing a breach where the old fortification crumble in a shower of dull dry noises even so that didn’t stop her stride as the creatures slithered onward at impressive speed, it’s great size hiding nothing of its prodigious muscles as she made for the portal.

Kyorn quickly followed suit, his wings produce a small explosion of wind behind him and he charged onward, zipping through the sky free of obstruction and finally Arnvidur let out a strong exhaust of icy breath while you wondered where the few undead that escaped wandered off to… but then g-force gripped at your stomach as bursts of steams cracked behind you, boosting the surperarmor forward and racking the ground as the feet strafed forward mercilessly. Your hands held the staff tight enough to hurt as you zipped past the scenery, slowly gaining ground on the sprinting worm…

The gate of fog separate this world from the real one had shrunk considerably; previously it was big enough to encompass the entire southern horizon while now it formed a puny square of a few dozens of meters at best; no better signs to give proof to your words and for a moment Marauder and Abomination stood in disbelief.

A wind mage? That exhaust is *very* high pressure. Blow a building down or tear people's flesh off if too close kind of high pressure.

Ice/fluid? Superchilled exhaust like we've seen. Freeze shit at close to mid-close or medium range.

Fire? I don't even think I have to explain what that'll result in. Flamenwurfer, nuf said.

Earth? Superdense exhaust. Filled with irritating particulate. If it were to be in another setting it'd be like Chaff.

Holy? Healing exhaust. Blow a little in the way of your human buddies to increase their affection towards you. Blow it towards monstergirls and demons to increase their suffering.

A battlefield can be described by scenery and sound and right now, as you emerge from the enclosed world like a battering ram; the few seconds of your absence transformed the gothic theme of the chapel into nothing more than indescribable rubbles. The headless statue of the Water Dragon disappear, crushed under your progress while concert of slamming sounds and falling rubbles reverberate inside this grand structure, ruining this abandoned place of worship forever.

Then come the incredible sound of something big and hard colliding with one another as Amisi coiled and flew right into Two machine, the oversized body of the worm was more than big enough to trample the entire armor but your Wingman wasn’t incompetent as she formed a sizable screen of gold… that shattered under the assault when Kyorn spanned with a second greatsword and SLAMMED into the magical shield, pierced it and allowing the worm to shatter it utterly, missing Two by an inch as the Inquisitor jump backward thank to magical thrusters closing in on the wall and bracing with her left foot and arm, colliding, then jump from her position and landing on the roof where again, she pressed with both hands to make a stomp on the worm… then get knocked out of the sky as the half-angel SLAM right into her, his movement has been all but impossible as he literally made two sharps angles fast enough to dizzy your following eyes… regardless, both of them crashed in a fantastic amount of rubbles, shattering benches and some walls as the armor was forced to slide under the impact, momentarily obfuscating their position thanks to a cloud of dust…

You’ve got a clear shot toward the worm that is already moving toward the exit.

Keeping your cover means engaging her… Right now a snap decision is required.

An explosion of steam crackles behind you, obliterating some part of the wall holding the fog while your legs lift into the air; g-force churn your guts as some remnants of gothic decoration shatter under your passage, Amisi is just about outside the chapel and that’s where you strike, you saw her try to wiggle to the left as her oversized tail placed itself for an upward strike, the left arm of your machine cover itself in ice while the exhaust exit in a potent ‘’Psssht’’ while your leg lurch forward to kick the oversized worm caught by surprise, while your enchanted fist SLAM right into her skin as the tail came up to greet you, the ice shatter under the weight and dig into her slimy green skin, countering her strike perfectly your kick send that big body slamming down and right as you stomp on the dirt your machine lift the poor chieftain as you grab right into her guts, ready to throw…

You feel the strong tackle of a certain Marauder on the back of your machine, a potent force that that send you off balance as the striking sound of broken metal reverberate around the trees as yet another greatsword is shattered under his insane strike, forcing you out of your position and that’s when Amisi flexible body coil for a head-butt on your flank, sliding you in the opposite direction as Arnvidur keep his balance and right through the outer wall, back into the chapel as Two exit, her armors forming a set of shield and blade of pure gold as its mouth let out a strong exhaust of holy energy.

He should be able to tank or evade the first set of strikes. If he gets it and knocks out 2, we can choose to fall back after. I'd also rather not him take the full brunt of 2's counter-attack. That has the potential to be very harmful.

I say deconstruction because the man is asking the questions hentai can't or won't (and trust me, I browse /d/, I visit sadpanda frequently, I've seen a LOT of smut).

What would corruption mean exactly? What would a world of sexual excess actually look like and what would it mean for society? How badly would the demographics have to be screwed for an average vanilla woman to actually seriously consider being part of a harem? And yes, in the event they were, what's that actually mean for the world and society at large?

It's what a deconstruction does, ask questions the genre typically doesn't ask. NGE asked the questions like "Say these kids really were kids forced onto a battlefield in a giant robot?" and "Giant Robots... How expensive are they to maintain exactly?" and so on.

It answered it quite well, they'd be seriously fucked up in the head.

As always on the battlefield, the next course of events happens very, very fast.

For lack of a better term, the Hero literally explode upward; the hyper concentrated dome of wind create a miniature short lived stone that is, thankfully, rendered completely useless by the size and weight of your armor and this is where your failure happen: if you had been faster, you’d have caught him as he went up, if you didn’t underestimate him…

Once in his domain, the half-angel curl in a ball, pirouetting in a deadly arc as the previously crisscrossed swords were held in a straight line, a potent hollow clack reverberated around him, sending the sound all the way back into the main camp of the Crusader, the Marauder cut in the air at a completely incomprehensible and impossible angle, sending him pirouette in your direction and forcing you to lever your shields upward out of pure, simple reflex…

His swords merely slide across your forcefield and he somehow uncurls, holding both swords behind him while a terrible scream emerge.

‘’RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH’’

He has, quite simply, completely and utterly outmaneuvered you due to the simple fact you did not. Go. Fast.
The terrible sound that occur as he strike at Two is simply out of this world; the Hero glass greatswords shatter the levered shield, cut into the Holy warhammer and SLAM right into the face of the superarmor, digging with such force that his weapons broke – again- while pulverizing his target right as an exhaust of holy burst forth, thankfully nothing touched him.

Right as your wingman scream her disbelief, you find yourself closing in on the Hero and snarl as your reactive shield swipe into him right as he was about to move away; his speed has lessened due to his herculean efforts and your weapon explode in a cavernous boom as the spikes cruelly jump forward and into his body, cutting into him, launching him right into both walls of the chapel and into the thick verdure as he disappear from your sight, flapping his wing to fuel his apparent out of control fly.

You are still short of breath right now, not that you’ve exerted yourself at all; for a brief moment you fell some of the most intense glee as you struck the half-angel…

You almost blurt out an incriminating sentence but instead focus on moving, you take some time to linger, one hand on the piece of quartz while you observe everything around you; your wingman seem fine as she’s the first one to exit. You see her jamming out her key and the armor finally deactivate, stopping its headless bleeding and the woman wobble slightly as she’s hit by the after effect of her piloting.

You follow suit and brace for the worse; the moment your hand fiddle with the key and jam it out, you hear yet another sound of exhaust that almost sound sorrowful as the whistling slowly but surely grows inexistent and the forcefield disappear without a sound. A few seconds later, your struck by a potent sense of vertigo and loss as a good chunk of your magical reserve is missing, robbed from you all at once Focus become impossible to maintain and you wait until the feeling past to embrace it anew with a great deal of fatigue, but it’s not exactly unbearable.

Not yet.

Two is already out of her machine and once more; you follow by making a few ice plates to step onto on your way down. The Inquisitors slowly trickle out of the circle as well, quite a few of time noticeably wobbling and weakened, you catch up with the blond before the two of you get to Ahriman.

Think of it this way.

Magic is all about conquering the law of reality and imposing your will and imagination onto the world.

A bit of water the size of a rain drop but accelerated to tremendous speed would actually be far more deadly than a giant ice spike, especially if we can fire them in shot gun bursts. And you could do it with far less weight than an ice spike, but would the enormous velocity we'd need to pump into them counter act the lack of weight and make it just as, if not more tiring?

Sorry to be asking all these things, but we're potentially going to be fighting an entire army pretty much by ourselves. I know ideally we avoid that situation, but not so ideally I want to get the most bang for our buck.

Atleast it's good to know that it's movement, and range, not changes of state, that drain us the most. We can use this I'm positive, it's just a matter of thinking in a screwy enough manner. It's just a pity we were water, not fire, fire gets you SO much more bang for you buck given the limitations you've put on us. That said, I guess we should be grateful it's not air or earth rather than water, far more energy necessary for far less gain.

Water shotgun is a definite possibility; it wouldn't be that much different from your ice rain of spikes, but the fact that you accelerate them so much is going to make it quite a bit harder to cast than your usual spike because you associate it with the speed of an arrow/crossbow bolt. However our main character has studied and practiced archery for all of his life, so he does has quite a lot of comfort with projectiles.

To make it ''fast enough to pierce skin'' would require quite a bit of forethought, mostly knowledge that there’s projectile faster than what you already know so you Siegfried can actually associate it. Buuuuut, once you giant some free time, you could DEFINETLY try your hand at training up some spells… Also, stumbling upon bodies of waters means that you can use it as fuel for your spells, drastically cutting down the cost and if it, say, start storming… you’ll be nigh invincible.

Now for the situations with the bandits, I must admit that you’ve caught me by surprise there; it’s definitely a rather glaring flaw but the quest itself was rather young at the time and I didn’t come up with a solid magical system quite yet which is why you were able to ice them up further than that 2 meters circumference. Call it an error of judgement on my part.

Well you can always just have it so that the following restrictions apply:

1) The limitation of 2 meters is based upon velocity and gravity changes. If we want to manipulate something by magic that isn't a fluid/water or naturally in a fluidic state at room temperature, then it's got to be within that 2 meter radius.

and

2) Manipulating fluidic states at that range becomes exponentially harder unless the fluid is already present in tremendous amounts or already has a great deal of energy pumped into it. So we could pull water that is already in vigorous motion from a great deal away, that's just manipulating the water's already present energy, still draining, but not beyond our abilities.

Manipulating the state of fluids or water outside of our 2 meter range is possible, just it becomes more and more difficult the further out from us it gets. It was also stated with the weapon-freezing against the bandits that it was a spell that had been SPECIFICALLY taught to us and we were practiced with, so that by itself might loosen the range restrictions given that it was something we weren't making up on the fly but were so practiced with that the energy usage on it is far more efficient.

The range limitation, combined with the fact that it is incredibly difficult to directly enchant somebody who is unwilling, would mean that even with the loosening of the restrictions of range as far as liquid state manipulations go, we're not going to be making people drown or freezing their heads in blocks of ice any time soon.

Finally, I think I got a way to best describe our BASE LINE ability. (next post)

If a liquid already has a property associated with it, we can easily and naturally manipulate that. If a liquid is in motion because of natural forces in the first place, we can alter the direction and magnitude of that motion. So a rain storm would basically be handing us an army of shotguns if we wanted. As long as we are only EDITING already existing properties in a liquid, that's not going to take much energy to do. But ADDING new properties to a liquid becomes incredibly difficult.

For example, changing the temperature of a liquid (making water into ice or steam) is ludicrously simple for us.

But the effort comes in ADDING velocity to that, or KEEPING it hovering above ground by NEGATING gravity. Sure, gravity has a presence on an object, but to prevent it from falling, we're not so much 'editing' the gravity of the water itself (which would cause all kinds of problems), but instead we're accelerating it upward at enough speed to prevent it from falling or rising.

I imagine that some things, such as editing the mass or weight of a liquid, would be beyond our ability. But as long as we're just injecting energy INTO a system, we're good. Just some things take far more energy than others.

Making something that's already moving go FASTER is a lot easier than making something at rest move period. At the same time, changing something between it's natural states is the height of ease for us, switching water between vapor, steam, liquid, or ice, is simplicity itself, but if we want to do anything other than that with standing water, then we're injecting A LOT more energy into the system.

Ice is simply water molecules held together in a rigid crystalline structure, with hydrogen bonds forming between the Oxygen and Hydrogen atoms.

Notice how water is, well, water, most of the time? That's because these Hydrogen Bonds are the the second lowest bonds in term of strength (usually around 1kJ/mol to 25kJ/mol.) There's enough energy in the surrounding atmosphere to keep the water molecules excited if no forces are applied to it.

Any ice that's thin enough to cut will experience those bonds breaking incredibly rapidly, especially if making contact with skin, which is a good source of heat energy to disrupt that rigid structure.

so basically, if we were just ripping water out of the stream and putting some extra force behind it, then we'd be good, but trying to 'slow down' the river to make our own shots go faster would be near impossible.

That said, we could totally do hail bullets. Accelerate the water out of the fast moving stream, freeze it just as it's about to leave our sphere of influence. Thank god for focus state making us into mentats.

The issue is the size of it. Full harem end will include 9 females. He will have next to no free time between keeping them all satisfied and happy with the arrangement. Thus I don't really see a full harem end working out long term.

Then again, demographics are pretty fucked up at the moment with 5 females to every male. As he *is* a good, nice guy with plenty of dosh they may put up with it anyway. After all, could be worse, could have to acclimate yourself to the yuri. Not every girl can do that and he'd be better than forever alone.
