"SHUT IT DOWN!" You roar at Yuma, just as you pull the Golden Desert Eagle from its holster and aim it towards the shrieking, burning conflagration in one smooth movement. The very light from the approaching apparition filling the entire room with a searing heat, a blinding glow and the choking stench of hell and brimstone. And along with all of these, a deafening rumbling - one so deep and so loud that it drowns out Haruka screaming bloody murder beside you. "SHUT IT DOWN NOW--"+ I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME + Yuma's pulse, an ugly thing made jagged by desperation, haste and anger, stabs painfully into your consciousness. You see her grasp at her visor, pulling it up - and it's here that you see a flash of green hair, pale white skin, and bloodshot crimson eyes. + BRACE FOR EMERGENCY ACTIVATION +You've never been in a Silent Room during its Emergency Activation Sequence. Either you've been placed in it long after it's been activated, or you yourself visited someone inside an already-activated one. But being in a Silent Room WHILE it's being turned on - and in Emergency Mode at that - well, you've heard nightmare stories of girls just being knocked out flat, rendered comatose, only to wake up weeks afterwards. Even the clever few who canceled their transformations before it happened - well, even THEY were affected, enough that they were out of commission for days on end.A mechanical whine, one that takes no time to reach its teeth-itching crescendo - and everything goes completely black.+ BRACE +
[x] brace for the most exciting time of the day
>>28192140The sensation hits you like a fucking truck no matter how hard you braced for it. It's a heavy, crushing thing - one that presses down on your shoulders, your head, forcing your knees to buckle, forcing you to kneel. It's like gravity had suddenly decided to fuck everything and increase itself until even the simple act of breathing felt like lifting an entire ton.And it's then that you feel it, more than hear it - an explosion, followed by eight others. The last one - the nearest one, beside you, where Haruka was - knocks you off of your feet, sending you crashing to the floor in a bone-jarring thud. Your shoulder and hip bear the brunt of the impact of that fall, the pain promising dark, ugly bruises later. You don't mind this, particularly - all you know is that even with all of this shit, you didn't let go of the Desert Eagle in your hand.Yes. Yes, that's good. That's a good thing, right? "...uka? Warmaster? Warmaster, you're hurt. Sit...down--"Dimly, you feel a slight itching on your face, your arms, your hands, your back - an itching that is soon replaced by a sharp, irritating burning sensation. You reach with your free hand to scratch at your arm, but a warm, sticky wetness there greets you instead. You recoil slightly at this, before wiping at your own eyes. Why can't you see? Why are you blind? Did the lights go out or something? Where's--"Relax, Warmaster, relax. The lights are back on. Open your eyes, you've got them closed."No. No, you're blind. You can't see. You're--You open your eyes, and see your bloodied reflection staring down at you from a cracked, tinted visor. A shellshocked girl with purple eyes, her black hair matted to her face with blood. Her glasses askew, one of the lens shattered, the other knocked out of frame completely. The entire front of her gown - at least the top, anyway - also red with blood. Probably from all the fucking cuts on your face and arms.[1/2]
>>28192159Well. So that's how it feels like, then."Can you hear me alright, Warmaster?" The vox-ruined voice of the Culexus barks sharply at you, and it's then that she thrusts a gloved hand at your face, two fingers stuck out and three fingers curled. "You may have suffered a conscussion, there. How many fingers am I holding up?"How do you respond? How's Haruka?...Did you see that? Can we find where Oriko is with just that? Get the fuck off me and get me a drink.
>>28192170[x] Get the fuck off me and get me a drink.

>>28192170>[x] How's Haruka?hope the activation could stop the worst of that blast from coming through. It sould suck to lose our seer like this, although that would make us kind of causing her death like she predicted.

>>28192170[x] "Get the fuck off me and look after Haruka, I`ve survived worse."
>>28192257Yuma has green hair. Decu probably got her eye color wrong or it's one of those things that changed from regular PMMM to MGNQ.

Friendly reminder that a new voting period limit has been implemented since last thread.
Holy shit, Oriko is going to suffer for that.
>>28192336To be fair she probably wouldn't have attacked us if we weren't spying on her lesbian tea party.
>>28192290>>28192317I was actually referring to this bit: >>You see her grasp at her visor, pulling it up - and it's here that you see a flash of green hair, pale white skin, and bloodshot crimson eyes.Yuma lifts her visor and reveals green hair and red eyes. The green hair normal, but the red eyes aren't. Culexus side-effect, maybe?
>>28192344She's already attacking us by proxy.Being more direct about it doesn't make her need to die any less.
So here's the important question:Was Oriko's magical attack a result of her seeing Haruka's scrying, or because she saw the scrying attempt and its location due to seeing the future?
>>28192326Quiet, I was just trying to cover our terrible reading comprehension with an in-universe explanation.(and I'd have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling anon)

Yuma seems to hesitate, here, sounding vaguely amused despite the fact that the seeing nearly fucking killed all three of you. Or at least, you think so. "Well, as fine as anyone being forced out of their transformation with the anti-magic equivalent of a point-blank sniper round to their skull would be." She spreads the rest of her fingers all the way, and it's here that you realize that she's offering to help you up. "Can you stand?"Yeah. You clasp her wrist with your own blood-slick fingers, and she hauls you up back on your feet with no apparent difficulty. It's here, then, that you spot Haruka lying on the floor beside you - her face peaceful, as if asleep. The rest of her body covered with a blanket....She's not dead, is she? You find yourself asking."No, Warmaster. I did say." Yuma sounds calm, calmer than anyone has any right to be after...well, after what happened earlier. "Her Soul Gem's with me, and it's still functioning. She's just comatose - probably for a week, maybe two. I'll have our Venenum get her on an IV in the meantime." Yeah, too fucking calm. "She'll be up and about again once she wakes up."Alright, you can't resist pointing it out, now. For someone who tried to punch all your teeth out for bad-mouthing Haruka, Yuma sounds so fucking relaxed. What the fuck gives, here?"No, Warmaster, I still don't like you." The Culexus replies, now sounding very amused. "But considering that we were both expecting for her to not survive today, well..." her spiked shoulderpads lift up and down as she shrugs. "I guess this is what happiness feels like. It's kind of annoying, but there it is."Hnh. Well. If Haruka's fine, and Yuma's not about to try anything stupid again, then you'll leave it at that."Whatever you say, Warmaster."[1/2]
>>28192782You shake your head at the Culexus, before moving away from her, trying to survey what kind of damage Oriko's attack and the emergency activation did to Haruka's room. ...Well, it IS a Silent Room first, but she's made it her own, so...You shake your head again. It's a fucking shambles. The bed's been crushed against the wall, reduced to nothing more than flinders and torn-up foam and shredded cloth. The mirrors themselves had all been blown out, with twisted, red-hot frames being all that remained of them. It's here that you realize where your cuts came from - the explosions turning that much broken glass into flying shrapnel. Table's gone, too, along with the chairs. ...Probably the only thing left standing is the closet, although it's got bits of glass, dagger-sharp, sticking out of it.Wait. No. One of the mirrors still have half of its glass still intact, clinging to its frame. And it's still glowing with a bright, white light....What the fuck. Is the Silent Room broken or something? Isn't this supposed to be shut down, already? Why is the mirror still glowing?"Hmm?" Yuma looks up at you, the Culexus crouched beside Haruka's supine form. "Glowing? Nothing's glowing, Warmaster. I don't see anything--"You tell her to shut up. And it's Chiaki, godammit. You're starting to hate the title, the way she makes it sound like her least favorite ice cream flavor. Anyway, you tell her to get Haruka to a safe corner, because shit may not be over yet."...Are you going to do something stupid, Warmaster?"You would have turned to glare at the Culexus, if it weren't for the fact that she was right in the first place.Really stupid, you find yourself replying. Much more stupid than allowing this seeing to take place."Right." You hear the rustling of cloth and leather, along with what sounds like a grunt of effort hissed into a vox. ...At least she knows how to follow instructions. You keep moving, until you're right in front of the mirror. It's...well, it doesn't seem to be doing anything other than just glow in a weird way, like something is supposed to be shining a really bright light on the other side. But that's impossible, Haruka's all but knocked out, and the Silent Room--"...won't protect you from me." A sharp, venomous voice hisses at you, from somewhere deep inside the mirror. Your first instinct is to level your Desert Eagle at it, but you find yourself suddenly transfixed by the voice.Namely because you've heard it before. More familiar than Mami's own voice, or Wendy's, or even Pinky's.It's yours. >>28193404>>28193584I don't think she's lied to us YET but it's only a matter of time.

>>28193605Not sure if [x] Hue Hue Hue option or great idea.
>>28193545I have a question. While I suggested taking Gorefather for the kill... Reckon Oriko would consider trading the staff for the Katana first? She'd recognise it as Kirika's, right? If we've gotta kill Oriko, I feel like we should at least try and reunite the two one last time. And honestly I'm not sure how Kirika would feel about Oriko whoring it up with another golden weapon. On the other hand, the thought of having to fight Kirkia MK2 is terrifying.

>>28193639YES MURAMAMI GOOOOO
>>28193595>What could she have told us before that caused us to kill her on the spot?Predictions aren't 100% accurate, and the answer could range from saying that Mami can't be saved, to killing Haruka is the only way to save Mami.>She said she betrayed her warmaster twice. One time was when she gave up the locations and identities of the rogue Third Magical Girls. As for the second, according to the context of the conversation, she was talking about Ahriman.

>>28193687>Was this actually established at some point?Back in the Stadium Fight, when we were rescuing Kasuga's Soul Gem, we stopped time, and offered Lucius' Soul Gem to Pinky. She said she is very picky about which Soul Gems she eats.http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/27447918/#p27450965>"Eh? B-but...but I wanted that!" The eldritchian horror in the pink dress pouts, fuming, her sunless eyes narrowing. "I don't want just any Soul Gem, Homura-chan, I thought you knew that! They have to be special! I -- hey! You're not even listening, are you?" She growls here, an unearthly sound that should really have no place coming from anything human. "Grrr...FINE! SEE IF I CARE! TIME OUT FOR YOU, HOMURA-CHAN!"

One of a hell of a lot....What the fuck did you do. Seriously, what the fuck did you do?"If you say so, Warmaster." Yuma replies after a moment. "With your permission, then, can I send some medical staff over to make sure she's alright? You don't really know for sure with this kind of thing, and I'd like to do everything I can and all."Hnh? Oh...yeah, sure. Sure, anything she needs. If they ask Yuma, she can tell them that she's got the authority of the Warmaster. And if she could, could the Culexus tell Haruka thanks for you when she finally wakes up?"I'll do that, Warmaster. I'll even tell her that after everything went to shit, our esteemed Warmaster asked about her first, rather than ask for a drink as she first predicted."...Right. Well. Okay. That's good. You just need to get cleaned up yourself and get some plans regarding Orikok started. Then there's that dinner to take care of..."She'll be thankful, you know?" Yuma says, as if she hasn't heard anything. "Including her older sister. Well, maybe. I don't think the Warmaster of the First even cares whether or not her little sister lives."...Wait, what?Haruka's older sister is the Warmaster of the FIRST?"Of course, Warmaster," Yuma says here, puzzled. "Didn't Kyuubey tell you?"No. No, he didn't.[1/2]
>>28193777"Well, she is." The Culexus nods, here. "Not that you can be blamed, though, Warmaster. Her name may be on the register and everything, but it's not as if a lot of people actually know what she looks like, or even met her in person." The armored girl shrugs. "Anyway, I'll take care of things from here, Warmaster. You should probably get to where you're going, yeah?"...Yeah, you guess.Where do you go now?Go to Kyuubey's Office directly to tell him what you've learned.Go back to your Office. Why not just call the boss? If we go back to his office we just get railroaded onto PLOT. We need time for DINNER.
>>28193786[x] Wherever we go, get Kumatora to collect a new outfit for you.
>>28193931>If we go back to his office we just get railroaded onto PLOT.if there's one thing we can say for sure about Kyubey, anything you direct to him will almost certainly result in a non commital response and a "request" to leave it to him while he "investigates".He's reliable like that.
>>28193931Yeh. We need to get used to managing our time better. Plus for things like this to work we actually need to visit our office every now and then. Since that is where documents and such things get sent if we're not currently in the office. We don't want to visit our office once a week just to clear off about 100 documents worth of information that is now useless.Plus the servo skull might be finished.
>>28193981>We don't want to visit our office once a week just to clear off about 100 documents worth of information that is now useless. That pretty comes given with "don't be like Kharn" resolution.
>>28193981>meI just remembered, we can manage our time better if we use time stop to walk around. Pinky might like it if we start to spend more time with her.Two stones, one bird.
>>28193981That's why we need to get Team Midori (feat.Kumatora) installed in there as soon as possible.Midori should be able coordinate with Kyoko and Sayaka from there and relay us the stuff that we need to know, assuming that she doesn't mind basically being deskbound. She's proven surprisingly capable on field missions, but our Officio has plenty of MG's who can fill that role. Murderface's social circle has few in it who are well equipped for the kind of information processing the Warmasters Office needs, though.
>>28193998Kharn had Malal to take care of that. We should get Kumatora to assist with secretarial stuff. Have her text us when we have something on our desk.
>>28194063yeah, I'd rather keep kumotora as desk jockey, honestly, Midori gets little enough screen time as is

Yeah, it's getting to be that kind of day.But you're not turning into a watch-wearing dildo for nothing. You're a drunk, you're irritable, and you're the worst kind of person for this role, but you do the job in front of you. You do the job in front of you and only then will you consider getting sauced. You all but tear off the bloody gown, balling it between two hands and tossing it over your shoulder on your way out of the Silent Room - and it's here that you trigger your transformation, the ring around your finger burning hot before exploding in brilliant purple light. You keep walking as your costume materializes around you, stumbling just a bit as your usual heels push you up a couple of inches taller. You ignore the brief flareups of pain as the magic expended by the transformation washes over the many cuts you'd gotten during the seeing - sealing them, healing them, removing them from sight. The comfortable weight of your Shield settling once more on your arm as it materializes there before locking into place.Your glasses are the last to repair themselves, both lenses quickly replaced with new ones with a brief snap of materializing glass. You squint here, before making a satisfied noise as you continue to make your way to the office of your mutant cat boss.Yeah, you say a lot of shit about being a Magical Girl and everything, but you can't deny that it's really convenient. ...It's only the only thing you know how to do. Reliably, anyway.[1/2]
>>28194133Some more walking and a long elevator ride later, and you finally arrive back where you started - in Kyuubey's Office, only this time it's approaching the afternoon now. The mutant cat is still hard at work, tapping every now and then on his keyboard while his array of monitors continue to flash indecipherable information at him, in breakneck speed. He doesn't seem to have moved from where you left him - although from the empty plate of spaghetti on his desk, it looks like he'd only finished eating lunch a few moments ago."Ah, Matsuda. You're back a bit early. From what I hear, Miss Amane is very tough to get answers from." Kyuubey turns towards you. "Well? What did we learn from this?"How do you relay your findings to Kyuubey?
>>28194083that's the benefit in putting Midori's in the office. Unlike the rest of our staff, she's got a direct hotline to the Warmaster if something comes up that we _should_ know about, instead of only hearing the stuff they _need_ us to know about.
>>28194154Tell him about Oriko and the staff; also that Oriko seems to have a possible Culexis who has sight beyond sight.
Maybe being untransformed is what triggered her appearance?
>>28194171include mentioning red suit, if it helps
>>28194154[x] "I learned that Oriko can backtrace a vision and that Amane's sister is the Warmaster of the First. Though that last bit sounds like something I should have heard from you."

>>28194154They know we spied on them, may have capabilities to retaliate through spying apparatus (mirrors), recommend NOT DOING THAT ANYMORE, I'm off for the rest of the day (Going to dinner and bar after that), take care of Mami.
>>28194158We should hear about?Like how much she wants us home by 7 for sexy times?
>>28194154According to Amane, Oriko is being possessed by the Golden Weapon of Ahriman, and is the Prophet. In addition they have a Culexus in a red demonized suit that detect Prognostication. Also, the staff can attack us directly through the Seeing. So yeah, too long; didn't listen is: Shit be wiggity wack yo.
>>28194154[x] To the point and with all pertinent details."Mikuni Oriko is the Prophet leading the rogue Magical Girls, and she has Ahriman's Golden Staff. She can apparently detect seeing's so she's probably already vacated her current location. And she's got a Culexus with her, with a red Culexus suit. Know of anyone that might be producing knockoff suits?"
>>28194154Short, concise. We have places to be. Don't skip anything, though.
>>28194154[x] "Weren't you supposed to be keeping an eye on Oriko?"
>>28194154[X] Apparently, Mikuni Oriko has her hands on Ahriman's Golden Staff and has been possessed by it. She has someone in a modified Culexus suit with her, so that might be a clue to follow. Also need you to check up on another Golden Weapon. Heard from someone who's supposed to be dead that a girl called Nicole Touchdown also has one. Look into that for me and keep me posted. But don't interrupt my dinner date.
>>28194154[X] She helped us see who possesses the golden staff, Oriko. The staff is possibly manipulating her already hateful feelings for us, making her do terrible things to hurt us, like going after Mami.
>>28194187I'm thinking of reports that filter into the warmasters office that we'd actually be interested in.But regular lewd phone calls is a nice side benefit. Midori gets to be "the voice in our ear", and we get to check into the Warmaster's office by phone.
>>28194154"Our conversation with Haruka went much better than expected. Oriko is the Prophet, someone in a red Culexus suit is with her, along with a small army of magical girls. They are currently someplace that looks like a mountain resort. The Culexus noticed we were scrying on them. I will need them to be tracked since they are probably already on the move. Yuma should have the fine details about the girls who were there.""She also has Ahrimans golden staff, I assume she is being possessed by it. I want to try and get the two separated because I think Oriko can be saved. I will try to get Kirika to help with that""Now I need to get ready for dinner and see to some stuff in my office."
>>28194154"Oriko is the prophet. There's a red Culexus that noticed the scrying and forced us to shut it down a...bit early. She's not dead, which I suppose is a plus considering she predicted I'd kill her..."Let's not get the mutant bastard cat involved in this shit yet. "Also, she's the sister of the First Warmaster and you neglected to say this...why?"I know what he'll say, but still...
>>28194215This picture could have so much nicer if the didn't have any panties on
>>28194154[x] Be direct. Tell him about Oriko, the golden weapon and that she managed to attack us through the Seeing. Their Culexus is pretty important, too, considering that we are the only ones who should be able to build these suits.
>>28194154[x] tell him everything, the pink flashes, the mountain vacation house, red culexus, oriko's attack plus the evil homu vision

That last thing, you can't even believe yourself. How do you even do something like that?...You don't tell him about what you saw after, though. That's...no. You don't share that kind of shit with anyone, including your boss. You'll worry about that when it actually becomes something to worry about, and not just your fucking conscience playing tricks on you."I see." Is all that Kyuubey replies with, the moment you finish. "Mikuni Oriko. Granted, I was expecting something like this, but I was thinking of something much more...fitting to her nature. Mikuni Oriko is very much a pensive creature, never one to jump into things with wild abandon. Using a Golden Weapon instead of establishing a contract..." He shakes his head. "Well, I suppose grief can change a person to such an extent." Yeah. Yeah, that can happen. You have an inkling that you know all about that kind of thing. The mutant cat turns to look at you. "Very well, I'll see what can be done. And yes, we do own the copyright to the Culexus Suit, and no one is allowed to manufacture and sell it besides us - but once they're sold, the buyer can modify them any way they so wish. If they were the least bit competent, they'd have removed the trackers we usually sneak into the Anima Speculum helmet." He shrugs here. "It's worth an attempt, though. This kind of information should--"--be forgotten if it doesn't actually matter." Kyuubey's voice has a chiding tone to it. "Yes, I realize having the First Warmaster's younger sibling as a captive does sound like the tricky affair, but the First Officio - and my older brother, as well - has assured me that they will not retaliate nor act untowards the Ninth should anything happen to Amane Haruka." A shrug, here. "Family problems, I hear. Certainly none of our business, of course."Yeah. Of course. ...Man. Sometimes you do feel sorry for yourself, but compared to people like Haruka, who doesn't even deserve it...Damn."Is there anything else, then, Matsuda?" Kyuubey turns back to his array of monitors. "If there isn't, then you might want to get to your office soon. Tomoe Mami left a package there for you, which I believe are clothes for your dinner earlier. It should be beside the package that Omegon left on your desk - I believe it was something you asked her to repair for her."Ah. Right. Is there anything else, then?Yes, there is. (Write-in)No, nothing else. (Move to Office)
>>28194736Think this is the closest thing there is.
>>28194768>With enough luck, we may be able to triangulate a location."So, potentially they could use it to set up a trap by feeding us any location they pick?""I mean, not that it would stop me going anyway."
>>28194782>No, nothing else. (Move to Office)
>>28194782>[x]Yes, there is. (Write-in)"Should we put the smash and grab mission on hold until this is resolved?"
>>28194782>No, nothing elseWe good. Time for dinner.
>>28194796I am on board with this. Also, watch Mami's dress for us is a bit revealing.
>>28194782No, nothing else. (Move to Office)
>>28194782[x]No, nothing else. (Move to Office)
>>28194782[X]No, nothing else. (Move to Office)We made our report, time for dinner with Midori.
>>28194782[x]Yes, there is. (Write-in)Oriko's Golden Weapon is Ahriman's Staff. Ahriman herself resides within it and is likely manipulating or even outright controlling Oriko.
>>28194782Damn you! I want to move on to the date already, but we really should bring up the Golden Mask and Wendy now that we're on the subject of Golden Weapons. [X]Yes, there is. You to check up on another Golden Weapon. Heard from someone who's supposed to be dead that a girl called Nicole Touchdown also has one. Look into that for me and keep me posted.
>>28194782[x]No, nothing else. (Move to Office)DINNER NOW!
>>28194782>[x]Yes, there is."Did we get a recon team sent to that oil rig like I asked? With the Tenth having been in my face on my last mission, I don't want to slam face-first into another Officio's business."
>>28194782[x] I've heard about another golden weapon held by someone named Nicole Touchdown. Could you look into her for me?then[x] Office.
>>28194812no meta plz>>28194796this
>>28194782>[x]No, nothing else. (Move to Office)Let's check what the servo skull has for us now that it's fixed.
>>28194782[x]No, nothing else. (Move to Office)Well, IC we don't have much of a reason to start going after cultists.
>>28194782Seconding this post:>>28194796
>>28194782[x] "I'm planning to attempt to use Muramasa soon. This may actually be an opportunity to get it under my control better. However, in the event that things go completely horribly during training, I would like a pair of explosive bracelets to immediately separate me from the sword should it become necessary."
>>28194782[x]Yes"The golden weapons seem to be able to store the soul of it's original user if their soul gem is destroyed, so it's possible that Oriko is being manipulated by the third's old Warmaster."
>>28194828There's nothing meta about it. We ARE on the subject of Golden Weapons, Wendy already told us she died and was brought back by the Blessed Lady, AND she told us she was killed by Nicole Touchdown wielding a Golden Weapon. This is, basically, the perfect opportunity to bring up this plot hook in an IC way and start getting leads on that.
>>28194782>[X]Yes, there is. (Write-in)Should we tell Mami about the staff, Oriko and that she should stay away from her for the time being? And we do need to have a really long look at that info-grab mission when we have time.
>>28194796Fourth vote for this
>>28194838Not after cultists, but we do have an IC reason for checking that the smash-n-grab mission isn't in another Officio's turf, what with our last one involving another Officio.
>>28194828Not meta, it's what killed Wendy and she said as much.
>>28194856>Soul Gem on hand>Asks for explosive braceletsIf we absolutely need explodey emergency "Get this sword the fuck off me now"" things, put them higher up than the wrist.
>>28194875>>28194864right, forgot about that, though things could get awkward if coobs starts asking how we might know this
>>28194864>>28194875Not that its wrong.I'd just point out the problems that come when kyuubey asks where we came across this information.Do we say a dead girl told us?It's not a really reliable information source... unless we know it is (which we do) and then he'll start questioning why and then our mental state.
>>28194911If he starts asking then we tell him. "I have a supposedly dead ex-girlfriend haunting my dreams. Why? Because magic."And because it's unreliable information, that's PRECISELY why we need to him to check up on it. We need to know the details that Wendy omitted to tell.
>>28194782[X] Bring up Ahriman's staff, bring up the fact they house souls, be on lookout for a Nicole Touchdown with a Golden Weapon
Alright, pausing thread now. To continue tomorrow night! Thank you for everyone's participation, feedback is always great! No writeups for today I think, so I'll answer some questions before I go to bed!

>>28195141>A wrench made out of investigative journalism!Goddamnit, Neco.Although a hilarious twist would be Neco-quest, and then at the end she's just been in Midori's callidus barrier the entire time.
>>28195141NECO plans to crash our date, Midori finds out, stuffs NECO in a car trunk.

>>28195186sooo.... we're gonna want to pull gun out of inventory but won't be able to because plausible denial?
guys, one thing we need to do before/during the date. we need to make sure that Midori know the difference between Chiaki and Murder Mayumi. if she expects us to act like Murder Mayumi she is gonna have a bad time if the self improvement keeps going. now the fact that she is trying to get us to cut down on smoking and drinking implies that she is ok with it, but we need to make sure.we can do this in two ways, 1. talk to her about it for maximum awkwardness2.look up some later volumes of the series on the laptop in our office and see if the Murder Mayumi character changes to be less of a dick.
>>28195141>Hahaha!Now I'm really worried dood>A wrench made out of investigative journalism!NECO! it will be fun!
>>28195141>I don't think he has swag at all!
>>28195238Maximum awkwardness. Always.
>>28195238>>28195284No, we need to look it up, then talk about it, then accidentally let slip that we've read it.
>>28195238Y'know, anon, this may come as a shock to you, but most girls don't actually WANT their love interest to act like a colossal asshole. Considering the fact that Midori wants to straighten out our bad habits, I think it's safe to say she's no exception.
>>28195305i agree with you but i still feel we should cover our bases, rather than risk fucking things up later. its going to have to come up at some point. why would she make a self insert in that situation if she was not a little bit interested in it>>28195303all the awkwardness of both? i like it, now if only someone would walk in on us reading it...
does decu only answer once? was hoping for answer to >>28195104
>>28195390He usually answers several times, but I think he's gone to sleep now. It IS rather late in his time zone...
>>28195357I see your point, but look at it from Midori's POV: she created MMxMM long before knowing Chiaki (yeah she saw Murderface at the noodle bar, but that's hardly knowing her even if she was similar to Chiaki) from fantasies, and continued it because she has a huge fanbase and success, as well as enjoying it. And she has treated Chiaki with nothing but respect and understanding, even going as far as trying to help her in every way she knows - which also happens to be the entirely opposite way of how Murder Mayumi acts. She feels like she's close to Chiaki, like she knows her properly. And I'm sure she wants the opposite to be true too. So how well would she take accusations that she's mixing her together with MM in her mind at this point?
>>28195390Decu usually only answers a couple of times, he pretty much runs threads until he's passing out then tells me to cover anything....I don't actually know this one, though, sorry. But he'd probably say 'Hahaha!' or something,.
>>28195426man i don't have high enough CHA to even have a clue how to handle this situation properly
>>28195433I just love that picture so damn much.
>>28195540It's pretty much goddamn amazing.
>>28195540It turned out pretty damn well for a quick sketch. I'm pretty happy with it, all things considered.
>>28195433>But he'd probably say 'Hahaha!' or something,.As expected of Deculture!
>>28195141>A wrench made out of investigative journalism!>A wrenchDecu, somehow an extra letter sneaked into your sentence.

>>28195433>>28195566the only thing i notice is that the arm seems to be a little bit to long.
>>28195433So how long before we hear about Wendy's italian heritage?
>>28195665That's the one unsurvivable deathflag that must never be tripped. It's almost as bad as pineapple salad.
>>28195708Then again, Wendy already died once...
>>28195737Doesn't mean it's a good idea to tempt fate. After all, James Bond movies have taught me that you only live twice.
>>28195665She's Irish, actually.Although she does have an affluent, blonde nemesis with an evil mask that turns her superhuman.
>>28195820MGNQ Spinoff: Wendy's Bizarre Adventure when?
>>28195847I have put more thought into this than you even know.
>>28195873Wendy doesn't seem to be maintaining the Joestar spirit. She's so gloomy. And serious. And lewd.
>>28195893I think that makes her the Caesar to Nicole's Joseph, then.I guess Zeppeli fits after all.
>>28195893>>28195913Who says it even has to be in the same universe as MGNQ? Do like Lyrical Nanoha and take it to a completely different genre and tone.Except dropping (or downplaying) the Magical Girl aspect, instead of adding it.
>>28195932I actually wasn't being that serious? ...But now I'm thinking about it.
>>28195945Good. More ideas is better.
>make offhand comment about Wendy's checkerboard color scheme reminding me of Zeppeli>amazing picture created>talk of spin-off storiesI love you guys. But I still haven't finished collecting data for my theory about Chiaki, so that'll have to wait until later.
>>28196008Theory, huh.Come on. Share it with the class.
>>28195945I demand Wendy quest one way or another!
>>28196042Wendy Quest is something we've talked about and looked for an excuse to do. Decided we'd rather not run it separately/head to head with MGNQ, as fun as that could be, but it's probably something I'll end up doing if Decu is indisposed for a few weeks for some reason. That, or NECOQuest.
>>28196078Or, I suppose, Santa Destroy Stories: Legend of the Crownless Queen....But you'll probably see WendyQuest before either of those other things.
>>28196137>WendyQuest before NECOquest
>>28196148I'd probably consider putting it to a vote or something, really. But plot relevance probably favors Wendy.
>>28196148I've got nothing against NECO personally, but the general reaction to NECO's shenanigans is "FUCKING NECO," while Wendy is easily the most popular off all of the writeup protagonists, and one of the most beloved of the non-Meduca Franchise characters, with Kharn and Yuu as her only real competition.
>>28196188Oh, and Midori. Forgot for a second she wasn't from Meduca-canon.
>>28196025Well, if you insist.Chiaki's out collecting rare weapons and have a unique shield, right? We're working for a bad guy (well, he's not as bad as he could be, but he's supposedly vilified by the other officios) and we don't particularly like our boss (sometimes). We got glowing eyes, and we're on fairly good terms with somebody we fought against in the past. We have our magical girl transformation, and I think Yuu even lets us sprout extra arms (that might not be canon in this universe though). There's Midori, our loyal, green retainer. We had an important person die while we were indisposed or away (sorry, Mirai!) though Chiaki doesn't die even when killed - she had her heart torn out at least twice. And there's an all-powerful entity messing around with us that wants to destroy everything (that's what Pinky wanted, right?).Oh, and time magic. We tend to not fight fair when things get desperate either.
>>28196212Pinky's ultimate goal is to make Chiaki suffer as much as possible (and in the right ways) before she dies. I think.
>>28196230Yes, but after that?
>>28196230I don't think Pinky actually wants to kill us. I think she wants us to suffer, because she loves us, and because she's nucking futs.
>>28196240That is unclear. The whole destroying the world thing isn't one of Pinky's goals, or at least she hasn't stated it outright or implied it yet. But there are a lot of others who think that Chiaki will usher in the end of the world.>>28196261Oh yeah, definitely. Her #1 goal is to make Chiaki miserable and make her life a living hell. She'll only probably kill Chiaki after an arbitrary (and probably near-infinite) amount of suffering has been reached.
>>28196296Weird, I thought she did. So much for the theory.
>>28196188>"FUCKING NECO,"it's one of those reactions which has practically become a quest meme of it's own
>>28196200it is quite startling how well Midori fits, isn't it?
>>28196212>We're working for a bad guy (well, he's not as bad as he could be, but he's supposedly vilified by the other officios)QB strikes me slightly reformed from his Meduca self, but in terms of Noir he's "The Man". He's not always a complete bastard but his first loyalty is to his brothers and you can never be sure when his involvement in Mutant Cat politics is going to bite you in the ass.
>>28196948He's not The Man as much as the police chief who'll demand our badge because we're a loose cannon.
