Five years ago, you were a Magical Girl, and you weren't as dead then as you are now.

It's funny. You didn't really feel anything when you were told about it.

No sadness or anger, just surprise. Surprise, and a sudden need to start...writing things down. Just to make sure somebody would be able to know what to do after you die.

Even SHE was surprised - the smirking black-haired girl that constantly haunted your dreams, looking all fancy in her black cocktail dress and stupid wings.

She called herself an angel. Angel nothing - she was more like an annoying crow, loud and annoying and stared a lot.

She didn't like that very much. Not very much at all.
>>
>>28318411

"You're going to die," You remember her spitting at you, in a haughty, snide tone that you never cared for. "You're going to die for such a pointless reason, and all you can say is 'Oh'? Tell me, are you a complete and utter idiot?"

Your response then was just flipping her off. Flipped her off HARD, and made your decision that as soon as you wake up, the first thing you'd do is to find the mutant cat bastard and get a contract drafted.

She didn't like that very much. Kept screaming about how it would just be cutting what little time you had left in half, and how unimaginably stupid it would be to spend your last days as a Magical Girl. She used a lot of big words, too, words you would've looked up in a dictionary, if you had one. Still made you feel stupid.

But what really ticked YOU off was when she told you that you couldn't go through with it. About how she can't save you if you die as a Magical Girl. Something about her not being able to snatch your soul away before it's eaten if it shatters as a Soul Gem.

If there's anything you hate the most - girls who think they're better than you just because they can say big words and wear expensive clothes being very near the top of your shit list - it's being told what you can and can't do.

Kaneda Madoka didn't drop out of middle school and get her first sparkly award at twelve just for some smirking dream bitch to tell her what to do.

[1/2]
>>
>>28318424

...

Well. Time to let THAT go, you think. You never saw her again after Kyuubey took you up on your offer, anyway - your dreams instead becoming starkly-clear visions of a future you needed to prevent, and the things you needed to do to prevent it.

Including dying. Yes. That's on the list.

But not right now. Right now, you're crossing off another item entirely - that is, rescuing a Magical Girl from the world's asshole, as Xiaomei had so eloquently described it.

Varrigan City's a huge fucking place, though, and it would take you days to scour the entire city for her. Good thing, then, that you have a contact on the inside - one you're on your way to right now, riding on your best friend's monster of a bike. Driving full throttle on a road so named because of the many illegal races that took place on it - as well as the amount of blood spilled on it, because of said illegal races.

Seriously, you've passed by so many rusting wrecks of cars, bikes, and other vehicles rusting on the roadside that you gave up counting, and focused instead on the task ahead.

In any case, you're headed towards Asian Town. Your contact, Professor Madaraki the Second, should be in there somewhere.

The current time, as displayed by your helmet's HUD, reads 11:08:20 AM. Thirty minutes or so. Not too bad, you consider. You're making good time.

It's around the time when you contemplate switching the radio on for some driving music when your codec beeps for attention again. You blink-click to accept the call, and growl at the speaker to make it quick. You're driving, here.

"Oh, Malal suddenly concerned about safety now, when she is on Redline Highway! Place where people put spikes on everything in their car, including on seats!" Xiaomei's voice, already bristling with sarcasm earlier, was now hitting full middle-aged Chinese Mom right now. "Tell me to hurry up, this stupid girl!"

Right, right. You supress the urge to chuckle, here. Why is she calling again?

[2/3]
>>
>>28318424
>Your response then was just flipping her off. Flipped her off HARD
Murderface approves.
>>
>>28318433

"Ah, now you ask! Maybe, maybe if was not so damn RUDE earlier, conversation would have been over already, right?" You hear her clear her throat. "Was just about to say, before being rudely interrupted, that there is distress signal coming from ahead of you."

Distress signal?

"Yes, distress signal! Someone asking for help!" Xiaomei snaps. "It is two clicks away from you. From what I hear I think it is Magical Girl being chased by local motorcycle gang. She is very injured and asking for support." It's here that she huffs. "You can ignore if you want. This would only be delay, I am thinking, so recommend that you leave it."

How do you respond?

Be honest everyone
We're heading after the distress signal because we're deathly afraid of not saving someone who might be important later on, and it's already a given that Malal gets Kharn out of the city alive, so we don't need to worry about time.

Well, unless this is when Kharn goes witch mode, which isn't an altogether impossible event, it just seems a bit early from the way people talk about it.

It's a zero-sum game.

Besides, we're looking for a magical girl in distress. It's not impossible this is her, or related to her.
>>

why
>>
>>28318535

needs a "X is dildos" edit, 'X' being whatever applies: Names, This plan, Watch wearing, Pinky, Fun.

>>28318546

we know Kharn will get saved but if we can manage to save someone here, they might have information or feel indebted to us. Which might make dealing with whatever Decu will throw at us just a little bit more forgiving.
>>
>>28318581
besides, I'm pretty sure Xiaomei/Decu had a pretty good idea what we were about to do.

If they really didn't want us to do this, they wouldn't have told us about it at all.
>>

>>28318424
>>28318433
So, what

Malal was reverse-us?

Madoka instead of Homura

Crazy god-Homura instead of crazy god-Madoka

Had her crazy god stalk her while she wasn't a magical girl instead of being stalked while being a magical girl

Prefers to kneecap people with a melee weapon instead of with a gun

Is the second in command to the Warmaster instead of being the Warmaster

And puts up with Kharns shit instead of wanting to murder her in her sleep for being so fucking irresponsible and stupid?

Oh yeah, and she's dead rather than alive like we are.

Did the distress signal identify as anything, then?

"If it did, would have told you right away, yes?" Xiaomei's voice could have curdled milk. "No, no identification, no anything. Although, recognize style of address - would bet Malal lunch that girl is from Second." She chuckles. "Accent like that, thinking they are so noble, uppity knights? Not so easy to miss, you know!"

The Second, huh? What's one of them doing so far out here?

"Training mission, probably? Ayah, do not know, am shrine maiden, not psychic!" A burst of static, and Xiaomei speaks up again. "Anyway, whatever you decide, you do it carefully! Could be trap, you know!"

Yeah, yeah. You thank her for the heads up, and the connection severs itself neatly. You gun the throttle harder, urging Schpeltiger to go faster. Trap or not, you'd at least want to get there before too long - you've heard about what the gangers here do to captured Magical Girls.

Soon enough, you come up behind what appears to be a giant...sort of ramshackle tank eating up the road.

It doesn't look like a tank but so much as a lot of motorcycles and cars nailed together by a random assortment of steel plates of varying thickness. Its surface, pockmarked with welding marks and bullet holes, is also covered with vulgar graffiti - and bristling with what looks like enough gun emplacements to start a small-scale war.

A punknaught. That's...nostalgic. Last time you rode one, it was during a street shootout with a rival yakuza. Of course, that one blew up, but it was still fun.

Anyway. This one seems to be escorted by a pack of bike-riding gangers. Six of them, in fact, and they're hooting something about having a sparkly for dinner.

[1/2]
>>
>>28318834

...Yeah, this is probably what Xiaomei was talking about, earlier.

A quick glance ahead with your helmet's zoom function gives you visual confirmation - they're chasing someone who's also on motorbike, and from the plume of black smoke streaming behind it they don't have long before they break down.

The gangers don't seem to have noticed you just yet.

What do you do?

[]Set Schpeltiger on autopilot and climb on board the punknaught.
[]Slip past and offer the magical girl in trouble a ride. Best to just help her get the fuck out of here.
[]See if there's anything on Schpeltiger to use against the punknaught.

Pulling yourself down low as much as you can, you brace against Schpeltiger before twisting the throttle all the way back - and it's with a deafening roar that the two-wheeled monster of a motorbike between your legs all but explodes forward. Aiming for the space between the punknaught's escorts and the punknaught itself.

...And it's here that you remember just how you loved this monster. Despite how temperamental it usually was, and how it guzzled petrol, it controlled like an absolute dream. Sure, Nicole had customized it a lot to her own preferences, but even then it always felt like the machine knew what you were about to ask of it moments before you actually do, and did it perfectly every time. This time is no exception - Schpeltiger's brutish bulk slipping in between the tank-like monstrosity and its side-riders with a silk smoothness that you swear it was possessed.

And you manage to do it so quickly that, in fact, you hear the gangers shouting at each other about 'some weedy git on a big white krumpy skoota' moments after you've shot past them.

And it's only mere moments after that they started to shoot - scattered gunfire that mostly missed except for a few, scoring Schpeltiger a few dings on its rear fender. You wince at that, but you can always just leave Nicole an address to send the repair bill to.

Kyuubey's Office would do just nicely.

With you gunning the throttle wide open, it's only a matter of seconds until you catch up with the beleaguered rider and her dying ride - the smoke coughing from its engine now thicker, denser, a sure sign that it was on its last legs. You pull up beside the bike, as close as you can manage, and offer one hand towards the girl who's only minutes away from becoming one with the road.

"Come with me if you want to live!" You bark at her, the vox completely ruining your Arnold impression.

The girl merely blinks at you for one long moment - as if unsure of trusting you or not - before nodding as she reaches out to your offered hand. Her fingers closing around your wrist in a cold, tight death grip.

You pull her off her stricken ride and onto the back seat - and just in time, too. Even before her ass had settled onto the spacious passenger seat of Schpeltiger, the motorcycle explodes in a brilliant display of detonating fuel and spare parts. Pelting Schpeltiger with bits and pieces, the shrapnel miserably pinging against the bike's reinforced chassis.

The girl lets out a saddened cry at this, clearly not at all pleased with the development...but hey, at least she didn't go down with it, right? That's always a positive in your book.

Just as you're about to ask her if she's alright, the guttural roar of ten engines straining to work together in concert behind you drown out all sound in a huge, deafening blast. You take a quick look back to see that the punknaught, despite its huge bulk and shit-all acceleration, it's actually catching up. Same goes for its escorts - and you could see them swinging their spiked chains in preparation.

What do you do?

[]Use the Nitro to get the fuck out of there.
[]Grenades? Grenades! Schpeltiger's got to have a few somewhere, or Nicole is a dildo.

Nicole told us she topped it up just last thread.

Yes, it has Nitro.

The canon Schpeltiger is notable for basically two traits. 1. It is indesructible. 2. It is very fast.

Apparently the Noirverse version probably also has hidden weapons.
>>
>>28319337

>[x]Use the Nitro to get the fuck out of there.

This seems to be the better option. If the girl had anything she would have used it already and trying to find the grenades would take to long as we have no idea where they are.

"I don't mean to sound presumptuous here," The girl currently riding bitch behind you says. "...but our pursuers are catching up. I don't suppose you have a plan?"

Well, of course you've got a plan. You've always got a plan for everything.

You just, you know, have to think of it first. And then you'll have it.

"..." The girl you just rescued falls silent, before nodding. "Understood. My life is in your hands, Miss. My thanks for rescuing me. " It's here that you feel both her arms worm their way around your waist, locking together there.

...Heh. Guess this means you owe Xiaomei lunch, then. There's no mistaking that accent, with that calm, knightly dignity.

Putting Schpeltiger on Autopilot, you glance down at the various buttons and toggles on the dash. ...Fuck, Nicole added a lot to this thing since the last time you saw it. Some of the switches you're not even sure what they're for - and is that a self destruct button right at the middle? Nah, couldn't be. Nicole isn't that crazy.

...

No, wait, she is. Nevermind.

It's only a few more moments of searching that you find it, one labeled 'Caltrop Bombs', just beside the button for 'Napalm', and just above the toggle for 'Beer'.

Nicole, you crazy son of a bitch.

You jab a finger down on the button, and it's here that you hear something open up underneath Schpeltiger with brief mechanical whirrs. A moment later, and the almost musical sound of a dozen spiked grenades dropping onto the asphalt and rolling away reaches your ears, making you grin behind your faceplate.

[1/2]
>>
>>28320045

At the same time, you flick the metal covering of the Nitro Boost button to the side, before resting your thumb over the revealed crimson square.

"...What were those?" The girl behind you asks. "Wait, don't tell me--"

The grenades exploding behind you in quick succession - atomizing the escorts and severely hamstringing the punknaught barrelling after you - cuts her off, and you couldn't help but cackle here. God damn, Nicole. You were expecting a cache of grenades, maybe, but not grenades like that. If anything, it reminded you of the girl's resourcefulness as an assassin - and the bloody-minded brutality she colored every project of hers with.

"Just something to get them off our tail," You tell the girl. "Hold on tight, because I'm about to do something even more stupid."

"...Very well." You hear her grumbling underneath her breath. ...No, no, she's not grumbling. She's praying. To someone called Lady Octavia Seckendorff, the First Knight?

Ah. One of them religious types. Figures.

You shake your head, and press down hard on the Nitro Boost button.

A shrill, mechanical whine, Schpeltiger letting out a digitized lion's roar - and you barely manage to let out a scream as the entire thing blasts forward, the world disappearing into one blur.

NO. WAIT. IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE THIS FAST.

>>28320054

Five minutes of the most intense, ass-clenching motorcycle riding you've ever experienced in your life later - the girl you rescued silent as a grave throughout the entire thing, even when you shouted that you didn't know how to stop - and you see a sign telling you that you're almost at Asian Town. A few minutes more, and you see the city loom up, the gawdy dragons at the gate and the pagoda-style roofs a dead giveaway.

You drive into the city more or less in one piece. Schpeltiger seems to be none the worse for wear as well, but the fuel gauge's nearing empty, so you'll need to refuel before setting out. The Nitro gauge's reading much more favorably - you have two out of three charges left, at least.

Thankfully, there's a petrol station by Asian Town's entrance, so you make for that. The station's attendants don't seem to particularly care what kind of customers ride in, just the money they pay with. That suits you just fine, and you tip generously for a full tank.

It's here, while you wait for Schpeltiger to get refueled, that you finally get a look at the girl you rescued. She's...a bit casually dressed, wearing a black leather jacket with the sleeves rolled up, and black denim short shorts. Her black hair, cut short in a rather masculine bob cut, is held out of her eyes with a pair of goggles serving as a hair band of sorts. She's got boots, too - tough, steel-toed ones you usually use for construction work.

But what you notice now - and you're not sure how you didn't notice it before - is how her right arm, from her fingers up to halfway her shoulder, is mechanical. Literally robotic, out of polished steel. And it's not made to look like anything human, either - it seems to be deliberately oversized from the rest of her, out of proportion enough to be intimidating.

...Certainly nothing like the knight you imagined. You were expecting something more...grand, you suppose. More suit-of-armor like.

You make to place a hand on the girl's shoulder, but stop yourself in time - and you run back to where Schpeltiger is getting refueled. A jab of the 'BEER' button, and a small section behind the passenger seat slides open - revealing what looks like a minifridge. One stocked with what looks like a six-pack of beer. All six of them ice cold to the point of sweating condensation.

...Dammit, Nicole. Sometimes you make it really hard to stay mad at you.

You pluck two cans from the minifridge and close it carefully, before running back towards the sullen girl. It's here that you hold out one of the cans to her, and she blinks at you with her own black eyes - before nodding again and taking the offered alcohol with murmured thanks.

You open yours immediately - the can hissing as you pull back on the tab - and it's with a thirsty, parched gusto that you drain the can of half its contents. When you look back down, you see that she hasn't even opened hers. Merely looking at the can and turning it around in her hands - or rather, with her brutish mechanical hand and her normal flesh one.

This is gonna be awkward, but...well. You should try, at least. Can't hurt if you try.

Taking another sip of your beer, it's here that you apologize for her loss. Of her bike, of course. Did it have a name?

"A...a name?" The girl repeats, turning to you, the can still in her hands. ...It's unnerving how her mechanical hand moves just like her real one, as if it was made of flesh and bone instead of spare motorcycle parts. "Yes. Yes, it did have a name," she murmurs, looking down. "I called it Stranger. It was I who put it together as well. He was my first."

Ah. That's rough.

"He served me well, and kept going even while he was being gutted from within. I can't really ask any more of him." The girl lets out a sigh, before pulling open the tab on her beer can, too.

>>28320829

"I...don't really drink, as a rule. But perhaps to Stranger's memory?" She looks up again and holds out the can to you. You clink your can against hers, and she all but quaffs her drink, downing it greedily. ...It's also here that you realize that she's crying.

You allow her to take her time to compose herself. You'd like to ask her what she was doing, getting chased by road gangers like that, but there's always time for tears.

After a few moments, it's here that she seems to remember somthing. "...Oh. Forgive me, I very nearly forgot." It's here that she holds out her hand - her real one, after passing her beer can to her mechanical punchfist. "Please accept my thanks for you coming to my aid, earlier. My bike was set to send out a distress call if catastrophic damage is inflicted upon it - and I have no doubt I would not be here talking to you if it that wasn't the case." She nods her head a fraction of an inch, a curt bow. You mirror her gesture to free up your right hand, and take hers in a single, firm handshake.

She's not much for asking for help, then? That's kind of a dangerous flaw to have, right?

"...Where I'm from, we are the ones who are asked of help, not the other way around." The girl frowns. "It's...not to our nature. Or our training." She shakes her head. "But yes, I see where you're coming from. It should not be held as a weakness, to ask for assistance when it's required." It's here that she makes a fist of her metal punch hand and presses it against her chest, where her heart should be. "If you are ever in need of help, Miss, then I, Karasawa Enyo, will come to your aid just as quikly as you did to mine."

Karasawa Enyo, huh? That's...hmm. That's a pretty famous family name, there.

"Just a branch family. Nothing too prestigious." She shakes her head, although you could tell she's secretly pleased you know. "And you are, Miss...?"

Malal, you tell her.

"Malal...?" Enyo echoes, waiting for you to fill in the silence with your last name. You don't give it. It's just Malal, you tell her.

"Ah. I see. Very well, Miss Malal." The girl nods again. "...of the Ninth, I suppose?" She smiles, a rather cute smile from a face generally not used to smiling much at all.

Huh. Very astute of her. How did she figure that? You're pretty sure you took off any insignias of the Ninth from your suit.

"Your accent, Miss Malal. Has a touch of the country to it." Enyo smiles wider. "I mean no offense, but I do adore that accent. It reminds me of home."

Ahh. Well. That makes sense. Probably not a lot of Japanese in the Second.

"It's very regrettable, yes, and--" It's here that she blinks at you, incredulously. "W-wait. How did YOU know--"

Her accent, of course. Has a touch of the high born to it. You grin behind your faceplate, and shake your head. What's she doing out so far from her second home, anyway? Pretty sure she's not supposed to be here.

"I would say the same thing to you, Miss Malal," Enyo says, a small pout on her lips, before frowning. "And I thought dressing like this would be enough..."

Oh, it was. Very nearly was. But her cool way of talking gives it away.

"Ah. I see." She nods. "I will take that to heart."

Right. Yeah. Okay.

"As for my reason for being here, I..." Enyo shakes her head. "I was issued a challenge to one-on-one melee combat. Sanguis Extremis. The declared location was here, in Varrigan City."

Sanguis Extremis?

"To the death," The girl volunteers. "The challenge said that I would need to get into the City on my own, and then find Asian Town. The exact location of where the duel will take place will be given to me here, through a messenger." She smiles, here. "I consider it a blessing that the one who rescued me was also heading in the same way."

Well, that is pretty lucky. But...isn't it a bit dangerous, to accept challenges like that? And in a place like this?

"I am the Blessed Lady's Champion, Miss Malal, of the Second's Black Templars." Enyo shrugs. "I must answer all challenges I receive and win, or die trying."

...Even if it's a trap? A complete set up?

"It's a hard rule to follow, yes. But we must. Otherwise the rank loses its significance and symbolism. Win or lose, it is always an honor to fight for the Blessed Lady. And the First Knight always lends her sword to those who fight with righteousness."

Hnh. Well.

Sounds pretty shoujo to me. And let's not forget about how to addresses the feelings of real magical girls, that's what makes it so popular among them.

It's here that Enyo seems to blush a bit. "Well, um. I apologize, Miss Malal, but that is something that only the challenged and the challenger should be privy to. I mean no offense, but that is how it's always been done."

You shake your head. It's fine, you expected as such. And for a Knight of the Second, she sure does apologize a lot! Is she sure she's not from the Seventeenth, or something?

"The Seventeenth...? No, Miss Mala, I am from the Second." She seems to grow a bit flustered. "...Would that I had my armor, I could prove it, but--"

No, no, it's okay. It was just a joke. You believe her.

Anyway, does she have a way out after the challenge? Stranger's gone, and she'll need some way to get out of this shithole once she wins her duel. Does she have that settled or what?

"...I admit, I was not expecting to lose Stranger here." Enyo frowns. "But I do have a failsafe, if I am desperate enough to use it. Other than that, I will find some way to return home." She smiles. "Please do not worry about me, Miss Malal."

Well, alright. If she's sure. Just that she remember that she can owe you another favor, right? She can ask you for help.

"I will keep it in mind." Enyo says solemnly, before holding out her can again, for another toast. You clink your own now empty can against hers - and she blinks at the sound.

"...You finished your beer? Already?" Enyo gapes. "But I didn't even see you drink! Or even pull up your helmet's visor!"

Oh, that? Well. She knows how Culexus are, right? About what happens when they take their helmets off?

The girl nods. "It's a last ditch weapon for the Culexus, yes, to take off their helmets. Not only does it discharge their power in one big blast, but it also kills them outright."

Right! And you're not going to waste that on just one ice cold can of Pabst Blue Ribbon!

That's why you learn some Culexus Tricks(TM)!

"Ah. I...I see, Miss Malal." Enyo mutters. "Truly, we live in remarkable times."

Almost.
>>
>>28321684

You talk more with Enyo after that. You find out that she's actually the second child in a family of four daughters - and her family's not too pleased about her being in the Second, much more the Black Templars. She's all but disowned, stricken from inheritance, but even so you could tell how much she loves her family by seeing her talk about them. Her sisters, too - how she's worried about them, and how she hopes they're doing alright.

You also asked about her arm, after a fashion. She seemed to grow quiet at this, before telling you that she lost it in an accident, one that made it unrecoverable even with the use of magic. She became less talkative after that, and the both of you waited in silence for Schpeltiger to finish refueling.

Once that was done, you offered to drop her off to wherever she had to wait for the messenger - and she gladly accepted, the color coming back to her face. As if the earlier conversation hadn't happened at all. She even shook your hand again when you had to part ways, and promised that she would go through hell and high water to repay her debt to you.

Again, nice kid. A bit screwy with the religion thing, but everyone has to believe in something.

In any case, you reach Great Wall Street easily enough. It's a rather populated street, full of shops. Lots of civilians too, some dressed like tourists, and most looking like they want to mug the tourists. Suits you fine - there's less chance of something insane happening when civilians are around.

...Xiaomei didn't mention any place specifically, only this street. ...Fuck, are you going to have to look in every shop and every corner for your contract? Because that's going to take forever, and you only have...two and a half hours left.

[2/3]
>>
>>28321703

It's here, then, that you see a white-haired young girl waving at you from the throng of tourists. Her costume's quite an eye-catcher - it resembles a typical Magical Girl costume, except with more armor bits here and there. Frills, too, accentuating the mainly-white color scheme. She's also wearing a rather long, black cloak like a cape - making her look reasonably competent, if not marking her out as someone to watch out for during combat. Eversor, by the looks of her.

"The good Professor is waiting," The girl says in perfect English. "Please, follow me. She is currently having lunch, and I am tasked to lead you to her." She smiles here, all nice and polite as young kids like her can get. ...You also see that she's got cookie crumbs on her lips, as if she'd just been snacking before you arrived.

How do you react?

[]Lead on. Oh, and you have something on your lips.
[]How do I know you're not going to lead me into a trap?
[]Can you tell me what The Professor is like? I want to make sure it's the right Professor.

Also, about the Second and the religious background, Blessed Ladism, how old is it? And is there a split with the Pinky Cultists? More specifically, are the Pinky Cultists a more recent occurrence?

Speaking of writeups, is there some kind of quality control? Or an assurance that the writer is going to post what they say they're going to post? I'm just scared that one day I'll wake up to a finished thread and find out that somebody's been posting HALF MEGUCA FULL NOIR CONSEQUENCES, followed by damage control.
>>
>>28322131
I'm pretty sure Deculture gives the okay on most of the important stuff beforehand.
>>
>>28322089

No, but Hat-chan's in the story as a character!

>>28322098

It's pretty old. The Second even before the Officio system, but only known as the Ordos. They and the Fourteenth are pretty much responsible for the religion of the Blessed Lady.

As for a split, yes. The Pinky cultists are a recent occurence, as the Blessed Lady was originally a benevolent figure that Magical Girl prayed to in times of need.
>>
>>28322131
I would absolutely approve HALF MEGUCA FULL NOIR CONSEQUENCES if it was run by me.

I do make sure that I talk with the writers beforehand about potential spoilers. I try not to impose restrictions too much because then that's no fun, I want them to be able to reveal stuff on their own too, but the major spoilers won't probably be on writeups anytime soon, so don't worry!

But other than that, I trust every writer who wants to write for MGNQ, and they're all awesome!

QC is something that I was wondering about as well, specifically in regards to the Saga of the 16th write-ups; the technology level seems more than a bit out-of-place with the Madoka setting. In PMMM we had implications that the series was near future, but not too far out, especially showing the tech-level through Homu's weaponry.

And even in MGNQ, while there is some high-tech equipment, its generally either experimental (an unstable) Incubator tech or external tech magic'd in, rather than mass production-level equip like cybernetically linked powered armor and a goddamned SHIELD Hovercarrier.

I think the tech-level needs to be clarified a bit.
Or maybe I just fucking hate the hovercarrier, I dont know.

>>
>>28322319

The technology level was something I bumped up a bit. For the 16th, it's really incubator tech + the most advanced tech currently present. That brings us around to Metal Gear Solid levels of tech (but with hovercarriers).

And the power armor are just suits, certainly nothing to the level of actual Space Marine armor. Think of Old Snake's suit with the false muscles and such!

Biography update!

>lawyer
Huh.
>>
>>28323012
But are they a lawyer and a magical girl? And do they use their lawyering powers in a fight? Or their fight powers while lawyering? Are they genderbent Phoenix Wright, or one of his associates?

My top three favorites are Pinky, Chiaki and Midori, but the order lines have gotten a bit blurred over time!

Still a weird path to pick compared to others, who are a knight, a Callidus, and.. spaghetti. Dunno what the remaining two do, but probably something similar.

For that matter, it'd be interesting to know what their parents think, since at least 2 of their girls are on a path that leads to a very short lifespan.
>>
>>28322615
>Not just murder, but a whole lot of other things. They're the Primarch equivalent of Magical Girls, they're a totally different level.
Thats worrying considering Karns party of three slaughtered its way through a tenth of another Officio and the only thing stopping them from murdering the other nine tenths was Kyubey. not to mention how ridiculously overpowered Time Stop was.

Granted the eighth has descended a bit in power since those days, but still. freoow.
>>

>>28323172
The First Knight and the Blood Knight are two different people, I thought.
>>
>>28323335
Yeah, they're supposed to be at least on Kharn's level. Probably better.

Now imagine their Eversor/Vindicare leaders.
>>
>>28323483
This doesn't make any fucking sense. These powerlevels are completely off the charts- no canon character could measure up to that. And how the fuck woulf the First gather that many superpowered Puella around itself anyway? That is all inconclusive.
>>
>>28323483
it does at least explain why the incubators arent totally freaking out about faust and the golden weapons, though. they still look like toys for babbies.
>>
>>28323521
We aren't exactly judging things based on power levels here, it's not like we're going to shoot someone in the soulgem and have them stand there and laugh when the dust clears like Vegeta.
>>
>>28323521
There's 20 of them running around contracting girls. Those with the most potential get invited to the First, probably equipped to hell and back with Incubator tech to augment their already formidable abilities and undergo gruesome training as icing on the cake. All the investments that are not feasible for regular megucas would be easily available for them, since they're elite.
>>
>>28323521
>no canon character could measure up to that.
Godoka?
>>
>>28323521
Sum it up to Incubator magic fuckery. The way I see it is that the First is basically there to curbstomp any outside threat to the incubators that the other can't handle. Or something along those lines.
>>
>>28323599
>it's not like we're going to shoot someone in the soulgem and have them stand there and laugh when the dust clears like Vegeta
Either we remember DBZ a whole lot differently, or I missed some rather odd turns of events by not watching GT.

What's GT?
>>
>>28323521
Not that off the charts, Malal was strong enough to be one of them and she got her arms ripped off by Arhiman and pretty much spanked.
>>
>>28323622
exactly the point.
>>
>>28322486
We need to do the DBZ fusing move?
>>
>>28323643
I think he's there more for curbstomping the rest of his brothers, should they forget their place.

Get out of line? First kills you permanently while 10 of his girls get TPed to your HQ and clear it out in 15 minutes. Everyone else is suddenly doubling their quotas.
>>
>>28323698
i seem to recall someone saying that the first never usually dispatches more than one. Two, maybe.
>>
>>28323720
One would get bored. You need at least two to compete in who can kill the most in the given time limit.
>>
>>28323720
that's what got me thinking about Kharn, Murderface and Malal.

They were all _really_ good. The powergap difference is still there but it doesn't seem so ridiculously pronounced.

But I can't see any of them towing the line and I can't imagine the first standing for ANY bullshit.
>>
>>28323781
which made me think that maybe the difference isn't in terms of raw power but mostly one of mental attitude.

Though those incubator tech differences would make up a lot of the gap.
>>
Let's keep in mind that there probably isn't a thousand of them, and that they may not be superior in raw powerlevel, but could have some special abilities, superior keikakujutsus, or the like.
>>
>>28323798
There's probably different roles to fill, anon. Malal wasn't exactly a slouch in CQC, but she would have been drafted to be in management since that's where she excelled at. Now direct combat roles? That's where the monsters are.
>>
>>28323853
This still don't make any sense. The way they're described puts them at planetary-annihilation-level, like full power Kriemhild Gretchen only not witched out. I don't think an armored military strike force could stand against one from this description and that's a power cap you don't easily step over, even a normal officio would fall apart at the seams against a real army.

Just how deep does this rabbit hole go? Magical girls wouldn't hold this kind of ridiculous power and go easily unnoticed by the rest of the world, disregarded as some sort of fantasy. If this really has been going on since Cleopatra's times and before then I'd expect there to be at least a /pol/-like place out there somewhere decrying magical girls instead of jews as the bogeyman behind every sick corporate deal or shady government move.

Didn't decu say that MGNQverse incubators have only been around for ~60 years or something like that?

>Magical girls wouldn't hold this kind of ridiculous power and go easily unnoticed by the rest of the world, disregarded as some sort of fantasy.
It's a problem only if there are witnesses.. Not that they go around flaunting the power. Most are sleeper agents in civilian clothing, acting only when called and the rest are on the Moon.

And there's NECO, so obviously some ordinary people know.

>>
>>28324075
>It's a problem only if there are witnesses
Ask the KGB, any operationa and any organization no matter how stealthy will always have a leak and will always have a deserter, that's just human nature.

This works too perfectly. There's something wrong and I don't know if it's intentionally that way or if it's Decu oversight.

>>28324032
>~60 years
That makes it even worse, this kind of rapid shift of power on a global scale would make waves that could be felt everywhere.
>>
>>28324255
>just human nature
Fortunately for the Incubators they are not human
>>
>>28324255
Malal had memory influencing powers which may not have been unique.
>>
Guys, didn't Malal want the stuff on her skull to mostly remain secret? The other shoe's gonna have to drop at some point here.
>>
>>28324305
What about the security guys who are bveing pushed out of their jobs by magical girls? THINK, amn, don't go "Oh yeah and then they manipulated memories 5ever and all was well". With waves I mean WAVES, this shit is big and on a fundamental level of society.
>>
>>28324255
Why are you comparing KGB to an Officio based on the Moon whose agents have probably undergone some form of indoctrination? KGB agents were men with families and friends and no magic. Megucas get beamed in, do their stuff, get beamed out. Add in Callidus that can cover the entire area with illusions that make any unlikely witnesses turn their heads the opposite direction and voila. No problems whatsoever.
>>
>>28324383
In any case the QBs dont seem to be going for absolute secrecy. Just a reasonable level of discresion.
>>
>>28324354
They know about them. Kyouske knew about them, his guys knew about them. It's basically an open secret in that it really only matters in the top levels of society and even then it isn't the end-all what with the assassins in Cali basically able to fight the Eigth straight up and so on. Incubators own a few large companies and can have most people knocked off without much trouble but they still at got shit on the jews or w/e
>>

I'm just expecting something like a civil war looming at the horizon by now. This is not the way Murphy's law works, the harder you try, the more likely you are to have everything go tits-up.
>>
>>28324555
Unless Murphy was an amoral mutant space cat he has no juristiction here.
