A force has marched up from the bay and quickly overran our dock area. They appear to be made up of Yaksha, monsters, and some other unknown force.

Fliers that are heavily armed, armored, and could actually fly despite blizzard conditions we reported to be somewhere above. Only reason we knew they were there was thanks to the sound.

Zedder forces have revealed themselves scattered around...who all turned out to be just watching. They seem to be waiting for something.

Hostile zombies are flooding into our base and even some of our own facilities.

The dread zombies meanwhile seemed to have gone rogue and are not following orders.

I'll post the crazy plan I made yesterday just becaue

The Fozr may be good in the cold, but we're dealing with Yaksha and they're good in the cold too. So they're currently probably also getting a debuff...gotta contemplate increasing the effectiveness of our allies versus increasing the effectiveness of our enemies (and they're CC specialists and more powerful 1-for-1 than Fozr...so the fog would be even better for them).

Tentative plan.

Have the Arms Master personally go to the defenses by our gate to the docks and shore up the defenses and emphasize to the bandits there exactly how bad it will be for them if they disobey their orders of LETTING NONE PASS. They're to be the solid lines of impenetrable defense to either side of the gate.

A few Wintadooms should lay a fuck umpteenth of mines in the central corridor the enemies will advance on. Only a few though.

Meanwhile, a good chunk of our men are to don any furs we have, or get some raggedy ass fabrics that are whiteish and defend the central corridor between the bunkers/warehouses of our maingate. They should fight hard, but act sluggish and past their prime and should allow themselves to be pushed back (to an extent).

Man the HQ with just a shitload of troops with our best long range and explosive weapons (twins go here!) and throw up a shitload of smoke for a good distance in front of it if we can so that the enemy can't tell how close/far it is. Wait til you can see the whites of their eyes that is, the "Optimum Range" on their rangefinders The retreating 'Fozr' are to retreat into the HQ and then help the defenders unleash fury.

After the enemy has been (hopefully) stopped at the HQ, our Wintadooms are to sweep in from their hidden stations in the warehouses by the gates and behind the bunkers and hit the enemy in the 'flanks'.

Heh, at this point we're surrounded on all sides by zombies that are getting increasingly irritated, our zombie forces have gone rogue or otherwise don't follow us anymore, we're down to 2+1 heroes, have some super-duper-coldness mutants attacking us, and some super advanced fliers above us.

Arms Master has gone to the defenses of the dockyard gate and has begun work there while trying to emphasize how bad it would be for them to break through despite not being his deal. Somehow the bandits got the message.

Meanwhile a few wintadooms ran around laying down mines for the oncoming any more. That should leave a nasty surprise for them.

Our forces with our not so good yet surprisingly effective disguises have begun their defense. Their being pressed pretty damn hard, but followed orders perfectly.

Meanwhile our HQ has been manned with our best long range and explosive mines where smoke is set up to go pouring. Kinda wasted in the blizzard if anything it screwed with our guys vision much more so then the enemy.

Dr. Bitkha has tried to enter the building...only to literally find the place crawling with zombies. As in they have completely covered the buildings in a whirling mass of flesh and flailing limb. She managed to get in though.

THE CRAZY RAPE TRAIN CHARGED INTO THE UPPER ATMOSPHERE AND RAPED THE AIR THERE DOWNWARD CREATING A WHIRLING TORNADO LIKE STRUCTURE AND COMBINED WITH THE WATER THERE PUT OUT THE MOAT. THIS CREATED A FUCK TON OF MIST THAT MIXED WITH THE FUCKING BLIZZARD AND SMOKE WE CAN'T SEE JACK SHIT ESPECIALLY AROUND THE HARBOR.

Well we are not doing to well. With the mist/snow/smoke rolled in our forces got blinded. That was when the enemy took their chance and pounded our forces into the ground. Casualties are quite heavy not many of our guys made it back to the HQ. Where we only managed to delay them thanks to the explosive weapons. That seemed to be the signal and the ordinary zombie created giant zombie bridges/towers and began to pour into our base.

Worst yet the zombies and monsters seemed to be ignoring each other.

The Fozr slowly recovering are trying to stem the zombie tide and are having minimal success in the matter.

That was we noticed that there had been a force following the monster horde. This one being amazingly adapt in the winter with clearly blizzardized vehicles. They moved in with the horde and pointed their heavy guns at our forces.

We have detected low flying air craft zooming around.

The Zedders have finally mobilized when they opened comms on the open channel.

That was when the zombies seemed to...temporarily lose purpose. As in they are not attacking our forces anymore. Apparently that threat worked.

We have deployed our forces along our new allies. The enemy is being routed and destroyed. They mostly proved to be yaksha, monster, and even some Fozr. Really we got things largely taken care of now.

Wintadooms have laced the escape routes with explosives. Casualties were satisfactory.

Unknown forces were a contingent of hostile Fozr armor which did a real number on us.

Charlie is...recovering with the Zedders. Crazy Pete meanwhile was last sighted sitting on their ship eating popcorn while watching the show.


For the most part the enemy has been WIPED OUT.

The Zedders have claimed the island as Zed turf.

Well we'd get 2-4 significant base stat increases (mutant base statline, ghoul base statline, sentient ghoulness [the roving bands mentioned earlier carried weapons and specifically didn't target zombies because we used them...so at least some have some sort of intelligence], and whatever the increases for being the advanced Nekul type would be.)

On the other hand, we'd be absolutely unable to reproduce. Rad ghouls can 'reproduce' by exposing people/zombies to radiation, but Cabus are extremely rare and come from cannibals and generally don't wind up sentient, and Nekuls come from a Cabu-esque circumstances except they're different due to completely unknown (and unlikely to be discovered due to our bandit-status as not-researchers) factors.

We might be able to round up ghouls with ease if we did that, and live anywhere and eat anything, but our numbers would basically be set.

Our bandits were trapped in an asylum (in their backstory) without food/supplies for a long time and so we had to resort to cannibalism to stay alive every now and then.

We were also toyed with by an unidentified Dark God we were sent to check out/kill which broke our sanity. The Dark God, however, doesn't seem to have left us when we left it.

Bandits can become Rad Ghouls while they're alive if they're exposed to shittons of radiation, but becoming Cabu ghouls only happens upon death. Due to the similarities between Cabu ghouls and Nekul ghouls, I surmise that we'd normally have a relatively low occurrence of our dead becoming Cabus, but due to our contact with the Dark God they turn into Nekuls instead.

The issue with the observation/sniping baloons (if we had salvaged the zeppelin wreck before the Fozr sealed that breach with explosives we could've built...one) was that during winter they'd be useless due to absurd winds.

We did start building a perimeter of watchtowers pretty far from the base earlier in the winter, but our men froze to death while building them so that fizzled. We could probably resume that project now with success though.

Historically though observation balloons were put at such a high distance they were out of the range of regular machine gun fire, or that the average person couldn't factor in the curve of gravitational pull at such heights. As such only the stronger AA artilery or planes could get to them.

If anything, we could at least have easy to launch barrage balloons as a defense against enemy fliers. Even in the winter, we'd let a bunch of them fly with the wind and they;d be a real hazard to fliers. Don't even have to man them.

Arms Master tried to figure our the wintadooms he was RIGHT about to finish it(see giving them that one final test drive) when they all exploded again. Scouting indicates that the place is positively crawling with zombies. The local ecosystem seems to have collapsed. Its full on zombie plague extreme and there isn't really anything around that can thin their number. Monsters are few and far between. I think the Yaksha and Fozr attacked us (generally) because we're the cause of their/the renegade Fozr's woes. We've shattered the island's ecology and strengthened their primary enemy's numbers to absurd levels.

That tends to, you know, piss people off.

Anyway, I think we should construct the Watchtower perimeter so we can get some advanced warning on any attacks (even if it's just because the towers go out of communication), though that may not be feasible with the increased zombie presence.

Too bad we lost all our Wintadooms and will have to build more (and they won't have the jetpacks). They were really our only technological strongpoint aside from the DBMs (though the DBMs probably disproportionately affect our abilities due to all the native fauna disliking heat).

Back to what I meant to say, we should try to hamstring the Yaksha and Renegade Fozr's abilities to make war on us while it's warm and they can't operate on a scale that's completely above us. To this effect we need to get some troops training under the Fozr to disarm traps immediately and start R&Ding a way to dump a lot of heat into their ice caves. If we can get their caves warm then we should be able to face them on an equal or above-equal footing despite the home-turf advantage.

By the way, how friendly are our Fozr with us since we've (kinda sorta...even though we caused it) defended the base from overwhelming attack during 'their' time of year?

Also, can we get some info from the Zedders (unless our bandits have an explanation) about how the Yaksha/Fozr managed to get into our harbor without us noticing? Was it just a combination of them being careful, it being a blizzard, and the water being iced over?

Scouts report the place seems iced over. They did find a way in and found a few holding cells for monsters and zombies. Followed by a bunch of slumbering Yaksha who would occasionally wonder back into the freezer section for a bite to eat or do some other chore. They had to book it when some of them began to wake up.

DARPA actually has a project right now where they've filled (what are essentially) racquetballs with jet fuel that have a couple of holes poked on one side. You light a few on fire, toss them in the building you want to clear and keep the doors shut.

The burning fuel going out of the holes acts as a thruster, they bounce around, and they move fast enough that they're cooled before they can melt. Because there are so many covering so much surface area and being so hot everywhere it raises the ambient temperature of the confined space to ridicuhigh levels really quick and anyone inside is roasted alive.

Our guys found a mine a big one. Only thing really noticable that was there. Place was once a hub of some sort at one point. Something seemed to happen though its clearly been abandoned for quite some time.

Mines are still there monster levels are quite low actually and only can be found in the deeper areas.

Pens are under construction.

they got some space but only for the special types. They bring in big ass haulers when it comes to the basics.

They don't want to fight the Yaksha.
