Notes on Rolls and Voting:

When I request rolls, each set of three rolls counts for one action. For example, a two-step plan would take the first 6 linked rolls. A particularly bad failure can stop your plans early.

When rolling 1d100, I will consider criticals within the first ten linked rolls. Only criticals that occur in the first three rolls will be counted as "supercrits". This is still the case even if you'd have plan long enough to require more than ten rolls.

When I roll 1d20, the rules are the same, but I only consider criticals for the first five rolls, rather than ten. Criticals in the first three are still "supercrits".

When a plot choice results in extensive debate, I'll try to weed out the most popular trains of thought, and then call a vote on them. When voting, please respond with only a link back to the post and the number corresponding to your opinion. Other votes are discounted.

Finally, note that this is not a democracy; it is a benevolent dictatorship.

I sure hope City 001 still likes us at least as much as they did before.

Recent Events Summary:

You have collected and reforged each Shard of your past self. Three of the four keys to Hecate's prison are in your possession; you are certain as to the location of the last. The Black Lady has joined the alliance between the Great Forest, Felnoir, and Archon. More importantly, you've convinced both you allies in Haven and the Archonians that this is a good thing.

Soon, your collected followers will meet in Arland, ready to shock the world with a force comprised of outsiders and rulers joined together against the demon lords summoned by Kan-Abar.

It's halfway through winter. Auriel has predicted that Kan-Abar won't move until the snow thaws and spring arrives, but rather consolidate control over their newly captured territories. So far, that prediction has held true.

A banquet was held in the Black Lady's honor by Yi Fang, introducing her to the Archon nobility and cementing Abigail as a councilor and major political force. Once again, he's turned the unexpected into a powerful advantage.

Things seem to be aligning themselves as you've planned for some time. However, one last thing weighs on your mind: City 002, the source of the highly aggressive constructs that have repeatedly attacked you.

You've gone back to where they last emerged and are following the path they dug there. But in your way is a nest of vicious, gruesome creatures: the vog...

Running on the fumes of your fast blink, you try to dodge - but the contorting arm of the Vog sweeps you up and sends you flying. The impact hurts, but you manage to blink back to another location before you run into anything hard.

>you've taken 5 damage (73/81)

You use nightblaze - and the world inverts in color. Shadow magic eats away at the Spirit holding the vog together.

And to your surprise, a breakthrough - the left half of the body is severed from the core! The vog collapse away, still hooked together, but cut off from the main body that is now struggling for balance.

And then you see the center of the thing. A squirming, slimy thing - vaguely reminiscent of a vog, but as if its flesh was turned into brain matter. The repulsive sight makes you blanch in disgust.

But now's not the time - you've got to damage it before it puts itself back together!

And then something pulses at the edge of your senses. Earth. Not the spirit-earth of the vog, but a pure, cool earth. Smooth like metal. Taking your eyes off your enemy for just a moment, you glance over toward the tunnel at the other end of the nest.

There's a small metal box, square and compact. As you watch, it retreats back from where it came, rolling along on small wheels. Printed on its casing are bold black numbers:

-001-

A dozen shrieks drag your attention back to your foe. You've got to act, and fast!

What do you do?

>try to consume the exposed brain-core
>use a physical attack on the exposed core
>use magic on the exposed core
>attack the fallen mass of Vog while it's detached from the whole

Just finished catching up from where I left off in thread 63 - a few things:

1) Why did we not ask Fang (or other equally knowledgeable persons)about the Aurora water gem? seems like a thing to do.

2) When Abby was giving her speech in thread 71, some Anon(s) said something along the lines of "I don't see what we could really do anyway" "What do you expect us to do to help her with this, assuming nobody attempts to do trickery?" and "Yeah, we really can't do much but moral encouragement".

While I wouldn't have condoned it at the time, I would like to remind these anons of our "IMPRESS" abilities, and they way we've used them to sway crowds before, like when we helped Flint out in Jacob's Field with his speech.

You. You had one job.
>>
Your wisp flies off into the tunnel after the robot.

>mana: 20/58

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgSqxHCsmz0

You sprint forward at top speed. The brain is exposed, and the body is off balance. This is your chance to end it in one stroke!

You leap up, tendrils extended, ready to sink into the brain -

A pulse is sent out from every individual Vog still connected to the core. They follow the lines and branches of its connections, meeting up like streams combining into a mighty river. A huge flow of spirit power crashes like a wave into the brain, and it's sent rolling out in an explosion.

Something grips you. You tumble through the air, frozen, unable to move. This thing...it's too much. Why did you think you could defeat it? You've got to get away, get back to the surface, it's huge, you've got to run, run, but you can't move, WHY

As you roll through the cave, helpless, an arm made out of Vog slams down on top of you, swatting you onto the stone like a bug. It pins you there, and tendrils of spirit latch onto your sides!

>you took 11 damage (62/81)
>mana: 5/58

You're pinned under the beast, and it's draining your mana as fast as it can. The other half of its body picks itself back up. A thick band of spirit is reestablished to the downed vog, and they rapidly try to reintegrate with the whole. You try to escape from its grip, but you just can't move yourself the way you want to.

Suddenly, the life returns returns to your limbs. But you're still stuck in its grip...

>regen: HP: (64/81)

What do you do?

>actions
>>

Certain in that the Atlantis Stone and Aurora Gem are the key to reviving Leviathan, yes. >>28444059
You're making excuses to not think tactically, don't do that. The greater form was off balance but well prepared to reform and respond because the brain wasn't damaged yet- at all.
We took care of the shield with siphon, we wrecked the vog surrounding the brainvog and exposing it, but no attacks had been made on the brain itself.
It's something we're trying to consume even though we haven't damaged it directly yet, which has always been very risky. The nightblaze was to sever its connections to the rest of the vog- prevent it from relying on them for aid and from them being able to use the brainvog to reform. Stop being silly.

If we're grappled, it's probably better to blink out ASAP rather than try and break out physically and let it drain the rest of our mana while we're doing so.

It's also pretty important to make sure the split body doesn't reassemble itself, since that undoes most of the work we did getting it damaged in the first place.

Either nightblaze the new connection, or try and destroy the severed mass before it gets reattached.

Against tendrils of spirit, you counter tendrils of spirit! Between you and the vog is a tangled net of Spirit magic. Mana mixes and swirls between the two of you, caught in a tug of war.

But the vog-brain proves stronger! It's capabilities in Spirit are more powerful than yours are. and bit by bit, you mana is tugged away. It's regeneration has almost stopped while the battle plays out, but now it's picking up speed once more. In a few moments, the core will have a full meat shield once again.

>He specifically said it was 1 being. and do you even know how a hivemind works?
The vogbrain was mentioned to be specifically powerful with spirit magic, and as something centralized for the power of the vogtrain as a whole. It was then proven afterwards with how the vog quickly channeled spirit magic to defend their core.
>>
>>28444988
Costs XP, which is pretty anathema to people who are already having a hard enough time arguing about what to unlock next.

I mean, we ate 12 XP worth of Vog; we could've easily just Erasured the Brain and been 2 XP up on the day, plus whatever stragglers were left after the hivemind was neutered.

And also known how exactly Erasure worked on top of that.

But people will almost always prioritize XP over every other resource, leading to thought processes like
>>28444611
>the weaker they are the less we get from consuming

>weakening a foe => less xp
>thus rather than weakening a foe we plan on consuming eventually anyway, we should attempt to consume immediately and hope for good rolls in order to maximize potential xp

In an instant, you blink next to the creature's arm.

You sink within yourself. Your vision fades to a tight tunnel, but you feel as though you'd hear a pin drop amongst roaring and shrieking of the vog monster.

You rip into the arm closest to you. For a moment, you're untouched. The beast wasn't expecting you to slip from its grasp so easily, and it's finishing up closing itself together again. You destroy half the arm and eviscerate at least a dozen vog before it begins to retaliate.

As fast as you destroy them, the appear again, rolling out from inside like worms crawling over one another to get at you. The projection of writhing burrowers comes at you like an airship plummeting from the sky. And you meet it as fast as they attack, slashing with limbs like swords, hacking with arms like axes. As fast as they come, you kill.

A sphere of Spirit slams into the ground at your feet. You're sent flying backward - and the pulsing flesh of the vog surrounds you as you try to gather yourself. Arms and claws shred and rip into you. The wave of flesh drives you back down into the ground.

>you've taken 14 damage (50/81)

Even while being pushed and slammed around, you keep attacking. There isn't a moment when you aren't cutting something. Bits of your shadow fall away and dissipate; bits of vog flesh clutter the cavern floor. Their blood is everywhere, forming a thin, greenish film on the stone. You trade blows with the, taking a ramming from a side, slicing the one in front of you in half; a claw rips across your face; your claw blows its face in half.

>you've taken 7 damage (43/81)

>hydra: recover 9 slashing damage (52/81)
>regen: 56/81
>mana: 1/58

You snap out of your drawn-in state. The carnage is intense. You wouldn't believe yourself responsible if you hadn't just watched it all play out.

The Vog's arm comes in for another ramming conveyor-belt blow. But before you can react - !

Unfortunately we quite well didn't.
As the coremind hadn't been impaired directly, which is the reason they continue to be so difficult.
The fact is that the coremind was still very well connected to at least half of the other vog, and they subsequently used that to their advantage, an advantage that could've been nullified with a well placed nightblaze to the noggin. Pretty easy stuff.

"ENTERING CONFLICT RESOLUTION MODE."

You barely manage to get out of the way as the vog's rolling fist slams into the floor. A pile of the creatures spread out onto the stone, as if absorbing the impact, and then begin to crawl back into the main body.

But before they can get there, a flash of green-plated steel flies in front of you with a pulse of earth. A dozen vog go flying into the air. The body of the beast reels backward.

A dozen stalactites already growing from the ceiling peel away and fire at their targets like arrows of sharpened stone. Each one pierces the chest of each vog, killing them all instantly in half a moment.

The robot rises from the small crater where it impacted. Its head rotates to face you. "Greetings, Shadow. It has been some time."

<...Steward!>

"Indeed."

The vog breast shrieks. A pulse of Spirit rolls over the room. But Steward is between you and the creature in a moment. A green shield of mana is projected over the two of you as the vog's magic reaches your position. It rolls around you harmlessly. A projection from Steward's chassis clicks back in, and the shield vanishes.

A flurry of Shadow magic strikes the beast's backside, felling several vog. The spirit connections waver. Shade stands at the entrance to the upper chasm, preparing another volley. "This is a threatening foe. I will provide support at range."

"Shadow," Steward says, "provide a distraction. I have a means of disrupting its mental homeostasis, but it will take a little time to establish a perimeter."

You fly into melee against the Vog.

It's like fighting a rolling belt of spikes. A hundred teeth-filled mouths attack you from sides. Claws stab and slash. As one becomes vulnerable from attacking, it's sucked back into the mob and replaced with another fresh attacker. You step back as it stomps forward, trying to keep out of reach. Your limbs slap and hack away at those that get too close, but it's a difficult game.

Before you know it, you're surrounded. While you fought off one limb, another grew up and around you - and two more slit off from that, crawling and reforming more like drops of water than burrowing monsters. You slash in every direction at once, but there's too much flesh to cut back. You're trapped!

<Breeze!>

Wings of white-black light crystallize over your back. They shine bright, and with a deep hum, you move at blinding speed, threading through a tiny gap left by the extending arms. They close in over the space you'd just occupied in a tangling shred of limbs.

>Breeze - Weak

Steward is speeding around the room. Two small cylinders of steel have been driven into the cavern walls. "More time, Shadow."

Shade tried to cast another Shadow Assault to fend off some of the vog encircling you, but the powerful spirit shield generated by the core managed to shrug off the worst of it. It continues to cast magic.

You use multishade!

>mana: 0/58

A scattering flurry of your copies spreads in all directions. For a moment, the vog-beast pauses, seemingly baffled. Another flurry of shadow assaults strikes it from behind, courtesy of Shade. A few vog fall off the back of the creature, riddled with holes.

But if paused not because it was confused - but to gather magic. More spirit orbs appear in the air above the creature and fire in all directions. Several target Shade. He attempts to shield himself; spirit explodes around him. You can't see if he's in one piece with all the dust.

You're able to dodge the blasts aimed your way, luring them into the stone before jumping over them; sparks of Spirit burn your skin, but you've taken much bigger blows. Your illusory clones aren't so clever. In a moment, they've been destroyed!

>you've taken 3 damage (57/81)

The vog closes on Shade's last position. Steward still hasn't finished whatever he's doing...

>regen: (61/81)
>mana: 1/58

>>
You run toward the vog, readying a dozen sharpened and pointed limbs.

The Vog almost immediately turns back and engulfs you before you can stop your momentum.

Inside a churning mass of the claws and teeth, your skin is ripped to shreds. You work to hold yourself together and fend them off, but it's like batting your arms to keep an avalanche at bay. They're on all sides, tearing, ripping, chewing.

You see the core. Three eyes roll open. Bloody pupils take you in for a moment as Spirit magic builds up. You have just enough time to realize that it baited you into attacking before five orbs of spirit explode in your face.

You fly out of the vog, a ripped up wreck. Spirit energy crackles over you, stinging your skin as you climb back up to your feet.

>you've taken 20 damage (41/81)

>mana: 2/58
>Hydra: recover 5 damage (46/81)
>regen: (50/81)

Your shadows begin to rapidly piece themselves together as you put your feet under you.

"BRACE."

At Steward's command, you hunker down and brace yourself.

-bzzzzzzzz-

Five cylinders implanted in the walls of the cavern begin to buzz. It feels like a vibrating itch coating your skin, but aside from being annoying, it's relatively harmless. The buzzing deepens until you can feel it vibrating in your chest.

The vog creature shrieks in pain. The connections between its arms and legs flicker and pulse, strong, weak, stronger than you've ever seen it, then weak again. Individual vog drop like flies, left drooling on the ground. It stumbles about, loosing hunks and chunks with every step. It's totally lost its coordination!

Shade fires a shadow assault into a group of fallen Vog, killing another handful. Steward gathers Earth magic together for another spell.

What do you do?

You fall upon the core, shoving the lesser vog out of the way. It's rough going, but in the confusion they can't keep themselves together so as to block your progress.

The brain is quickly exposed. You shove a spear-like tentacle into its midsection. It shrieks in pain as you hook yourself in. Twin orbs of of spirit explode next to you, nearly severing you in half - but you barely manage to hang on. You stab it again, and again. The spirit magic begins to falter in seething waves.

>you've taken 18 damage (32/81)

You roil over the brain and chew it down face-first. It shrieks and screams until you dissolve its mouth. And then it goes down quite smoothly.

>you've gained 10 exp (23)
>you've gained 5 HP (37/81)
>regen: (41/81)

Abruptly, the spirit connections to the rest of the vog fall completely flat. A hundred tangled beasts drop, half-conscious. Flickers of spirit magic begin to pulse amongst individual tightly-packed groups, but it's irregular and disjointed. The vibrating cylinders are combating their abilities.

As you focus on eliminating the core, your allies clean up the fallen vog. Without being pressed to defend himself, Shade unleashes shadow assaults in an uninterrupted chain, shredding many of the fallen beasts. Meanwhile, Steward hovers over the stone, stabbing vog through with forged stalagmites.

What do you do?

>note: recasting a construct spell on an active construct will repair it too full health, given materials

Steward walks over to you. His metallic boots clamp heavy over the stone. "I am glad I could be of assistance, Shadow." It looks at Shade. "I see you have made great progress with your abilities. We should be able to repair your construct further below."

<I have quite a few questions on 'below',> you say. <First: where the hell have you been, and what is going on with the two cities? We've been attacked three times!>

"I owe you much explanation," Steward says. "First, we must vacate the area. That fight will have attracted unwanted - "

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND2Atty2z9k

Steward charges forward, throwing himself into you. Caught by surprise, you tumble back into Shade, and the three of you roll to the side of the cave. <What the hell are you - !>

An explosion of earth detonates in the center of the cave. A sphere of green Earth, similar to the shield Steward used earlier, rises up out of the hole the blast made. Through the cloud of debris you can see the outline of a robot.

It stares back at you. Its face is cold and emotionless. The power surrounding it resonates with the earth around you. Every grain of dirt seems attracted to this foe, as if yearning for something you don't understand. It's several times stronger than the Steward in front of you - at the least.

The three of you sit there, staring down the newcomer.

"001," the construct says. "Step aside and allow me to destroy the Shadow."

"Our conclusions defer, 002," Steward says.

>Heartstone Titan - Using a shadow or earth mana pool, 10 experience, and one half-ton raw adamantium ore, you can create a Heartstone Titan. These giant constructs are extremely powerful, and can be directed to follow simple orders and be piloted/ridden by allies. With Machina Loqui, you can program them to take more complex instructions and act autonomously. If they fall, they will begin to repair themselves, and unleash 10 repair golems to guard them while they do so. (10 exp, one-half ton adamantium, requires earth or shadow mana pool)
We can still make it at city 001.

"It is Erebus."

"We know."

"We cannot trust it."

"We cannot follow your plan," Steward insists.

"As you said: our conclusions defer." 001's earthen shield begins to glow brighter. "I will be forced to destroy this particular shell of yours if you interfere."

"Understood." Steward's eyes flick toward you as it powers on its own shield. "Shadow. As it is, you cannot defeat this construct. Go the way I came. I will delay it."

"You will not delay me long."

"Long enough for him to reach our territory."

"We shall see."

Earth continues to build on both ends. The other construct is gaining power at an alarmingly rapid rate. In a moment, it's going to surpass the magical strength of the dynamo warrior that fought Lucifer.

You quickly pocket Shade, then move at a full sprint for the tunnel into the Deep.

<I'm not the same Erebus I was,> you say to 001. <Things have changed!>

"Your goals are not relevant." The robot's voice echoes after you. "Your existence is the problem."

You sprint down the tunnel, and it abruptly ends at another chasm. You dive down into it without hesitation. Behind you, Earth explodes against earth.

Steward doesn't last long.

It reminds you of the time Yi Fang faced Magnock in the Palthair mines. Two great powers pressing into one another...and the weaker popping like a balloon. And then ruthlessly crushed.

You dig your limbs into the chasm, pushing yourself down faster than you can fall. After what feels like a minute, you reach the bottom, and then you sprint forward along another tunnel.

A rushing orb of earth follows you. Even at this distance, you can still sense it. It's gaining ground, fast.

Earth resonates in the thin cavern in front of you. Spikes of rock shoot out from either side, blocking the path and attempting to run you through!

Maybe it's the distance at which your foe is casting, or maybe you're just getting good at this - but dodging the earth magic proves no struggle for you. You weave over and bob under the spikes and pillars as they appear, quickly outpacing the area in which they're attacking.

And then, silence. The earthen orb behind you is still closing, but you're keeping a good distance.

Abruptly, the tunnel ends at a massive underground canyon. The opposite cliff face is a hundred feet away. You can see a tunnel there, as if an ancient bridge connected where you stand to the other side.

Below, the chasm stretches in either direction, seemingly endless.

What do you do?

You continue forward on the path of least resistance. You don't have time to stop, not with 001 right on your tail. You're not exactly sure how strong it is, but Steward wasn't a pushover.

You sprint along the hallway - and as you go, the rock and dirt vanish altogether. You run down an silent stone hallway. Old light fixtures powered by magic in some distant past are embedded in the stone. The construction is neat and regular, and solid. You don't see the lines of any bricks or mortar - its as if it was carved right from the rock, then smoothed down to remove the rough edges.

Your hallway intersects with another smaller hallway, and then another. There are side rooms branching in many directions - some collapsed in, some not. The only occupants you can sense are rats and spiders.

Leviathan series.
>>
>>28448693
It felt like total shit. And then I had to argue with the simpletons about it who used the critical fail as an excuse of their terrible and thoughtless plan and thinking about it just makes me feel more disappointed every second. That other anon had it right, one person of reason against a horde of total dumb. It wasn't even some godly level of insight into tactics either, it was just the common sense to eliminate the enemies advantages one after another.
Addendum: It makes me feel spitefully uncaring of nuances in our circumstances as there is no cure for it, people that don't enjoy strategy will always shove it in your face that they don't. And then say that is was fine anyways with a grin that signifies fedorous shit-eating apathy.
Damn, I'm gonna have some tea now.

>>28448798
Thanks for the great thread SM and I'll continue stalking your twitter for more.

I see someone using excuses to not think critically, that's literally it. Begone you foul cretin!

So much butthurt.

Everything was going to fail with a superfailure crit in the first 3 rolls. The fight was going to be prolonged no matter how tacticool people were.

Accept it and move on.

Thanks for making my first foray into a quest thread an interesting one. Will be tuning in again. Sleep well.

Seriously though, this thread felt like a chore.

Trying to excuse your stupidity by insulting others won't work.

Sounds like every shadow quest thread after thread 48.
>>
>>28448848

I'm glad you enjoyed it. See you next time.

Night all.
>>
>>28448845
Using a critfail as an excuse still doesn't stop the stupidity.
Hell even Shadow master says it was a stupid action.
>>
>>28448853
Well that was part of the joke. I keep forgetting the sarcasm quotes where appropriate. Tiresome thread it was.

>>28448881
Goodnight SM. Or good morning, and welcome to the weekend.

>>28448853

Do you mean the shitstorms or SM's writing? Or both?
>>

>>28448883
I'm not saying it wasn't stupid or not, but trying to put it on the same level as RAINBOWS on the other hand is retarded.
>>
>>28448905
Writing is good, it's the people and shitstorms.
I also enjoy Abigail interaction.
>>
>>28448917
Well no one really mentioned that or made that kind of direct comparison until you did just now so I'm gonna go ahead and call you out on flat silliness.
>>
>>28448790
>>28448931
Unless you meant that guy, but I didn't consider that a direct comparison for fairly obvious reasons.

It may not be on the same level as that, but Direct Consume was a costly tactical error that wiped out all of our previous progress.

If that critfail hadn't happened, do you think that Direct Consume would have worked? I certainly don't.

>Sounds like every shadow quest thread after thread 48.

I knew there was an awkward sort of bridge coming between the major action of the Archonium and eventually building a force that could face Kan-Abar.

Personally, I was hoping that people would wait to deal with the robots until after the meeting in Arland, but I think I pushed them too hard as antagonists, so here we are. And Xile came much earlier than I expected. That was a rough spot.

I'm going to try and streamline the robot side-quest. I don't know if you're all looking forward to Arland, but I sure am. It's the climax of a lot of planning, and I have a lot of things planned. It will be fun to have so many major characters all in one place. Sort of like the collection on parade.
>>
>>28448950
We still had 2 or 3 things planned after this shadow master.
>>
>>28448950
I liked sperging about the politics shadow master so please don't stop. The next one I'm saving for if we learn whether or not Sandlethong is doing what I assume he is.

I don't enjoy thread arguments though. They're not very fun to read.

I really want to see all those characters together.

I'm not looking forward to it because its fighting against the penultimate bosses, the 3(4?) demon lords and you still haven't used the nat 1 you are saving up.
>>
>>28448917
I honestly thin that the direct consumed would have failed regardless of any roll short of 100.
>>
>>28448982
We could've used shards.
Don't forget that we had to use breeze anyway.

Not like it matters now, past is past, who gives a fuck, no need to be bitter about things.
>>
>>28448997

We can and will be bitter, because that's how we keep idiots like you from screwing things up for all of us in the future.
>>
>>28448997
But you must take your bitterness, and burn it for your journey, use it to fuel your spite and hone the power of your cutting words!

Bro if you think I give the fuck about the consequences of my votes you are wrong. I will always choose the coolest option, no matter what.

>How does it feel, exactly, to know that the battle went on about 3 hours longer than it should have because peopled voted to rush and consume a powerful enemy rather than drive the wedge you were careful enough and lucky enough to create a little deeper, first?
>And, remember, be honest. This is for posterity.

It feels like I wasn't here to reel in the dumbass erebus drivers.

We got fucking LUCKY with the nightblaze, and it should have been obvious how big a deal it was that our shard dropped 3 levels to BROKEN to deal with it.

We set up a situation where we COULD have come out ahead, and then bungled the execution.

Also, how did plan Terror and plan Dark Blizzard just get entirely forogotten about?

As soon as we had mana, blizzarding the whole fucking lot of mindlinked vog should have been our play (damage and a trio of status effects), and WAS our play until that plan got magically lost.

Darkness within is the worst buy we've ever made, because its trained the players to fight on autopilot, instead of our actually smart/clever/tactical thinking and Unified Front Battlemind we've relied upon in the path.
While its awesome, its becoming a crutch, and I want a refund
>>
>>28449634

Also, I feel like a 'HEY GUYS, This place is a relic of the elementarchy warzone, and ancient warbots make it as big a deal as Xile, so be careful' warning is appropriate at the beginning of the next thread.

>>28449058
>this is why we shouldn't get rid of our threadly reminder.
I actually hate the threadly reminder, because its been there SO LONG that its lost its impact.
Its no longer meaningful, its something that gets glossed over because its so goddamn commonplace, and whomever is in charge of it is so on the ball, its reached 'augh get it out of my face, i don't give a shit' levels of annoyance

It just needs to be replaced with a 'Threadly reminder! Here's how to be AWESOME' remiinder, with hints of the positive variety.
I'm sick of doorknobs. Gimme a fresh start please
>>
>>28449673
Personally I think the fact that they kept defending the terrible idea ever afterwards is a sure sign enough that... certain players should try to come into the thread sooner than others, mostly the ones that read the previous thread(s).
