Five years ago, you were still a Magical Girl.

And you were on the run, then. On a motorcycle so haphazardly borrowed you might as well have stolen it, with an unreliable nerd riding bitch behind you. Said nerd holding your main objective tight in his arms - another magical girl, currently comatose from you shutting her Soul Gem down as well as having a cocktail of tranquilizers shot directly into her neck. Excessive, sure, but with what her captors did to her, you don't quite trust her to be able to tell friend from foe just yet.

Maybe she'll be ablet to again, after you rip out the berserker implants stabbed into the back of her skull - or after you put what little left of her still remained. And there's little left as it is - you knew after you personally pulled the plug on her. Nothing else but the barest scraps. Strauss left her broken, left her used, little more than a killing machine with strings around her limbs.
>>
>>28467491

Listen to yourself. Put her back together? Hah. Not like you to be that fucking optimistic.

Who are you kidding? Even if by some miracle you manage to do that...well. It's like trying to put together a vase with only a few intact pieces left, and the rest ground to powder. She probably wouldn't even be the same person after. Wholly unrecognizable from her previous self.

...

No, That'll be enough. Yeah, it'll be alright. So long as she's functional. So long as she's still in the game as your one ace. The one up your sleeve, along with all the others. Some already in play, others you've yet to palm into your hand.

Heh. There was once a time when you felt uncomfortable thinking about people that way, wasn't there?

Yeah, well. Back then you weren't even in the game. You were another just another card in the pile, until you realized that you were in fact a player yourself. Not only that, but you're also the one player who has to cheat to win.

Because all the other players are cheating fuckheads themselves.

And you're playing for all the fucking marbles. All the marbles there are, was, and ever will be.

In any case. You're now blasting through Red Line Highway. You left Casino Town back there in a hurry, with Nicole gleefully giving Enyo her long-promised duel and Wendy Cooldown staying back to give you a head start.

And it seems to be working - a look back reveals that your tail is relatively clear, with the gangers you pass on the road seemingly unconcerned with a party of three riding upon a white beast of a motorcycle, blindingly obvious that they're running from something.

But that's not going to stay that way for long - not only did Strauss take your stealing her most prized experiment personally by sending Varrigan City after you, but she did it by putting a bounty on your head. And if there's anything the Varrigan City citizen likes, it's money being made from killing someone.

Well, whatever. You'll deal with it when it comes. Right now you're just pushing Schpeltiger as far as it could go, down the eight-line Red Line Highway - making a direct line for the docks that lay at the very end of it. And where salvation came in the form of an Officio battleship named from a really ugly and stinky flower from somewhere. You don't remember.

It's here that your codec starts to beep for attention again. You growl here and make to drop the call - you need to drive here, for fuck's sake - but for some reason the connection establishes itself by its own, as if you've allowed it yourself.

"Ah, vonderful. Und here I vas beginnink to think that you had ze same lack of manners as little Ekaterina did." A female voice, lilting yet tightly controlled, cackles into your ears. The accent coloring its words bordering on the impenetrable, but allowed you to comprehend what she said - and what she said tinted your vision crimson. Making your gloved hands tighten on the Schpeltiger's handlebars.

"Emma Strauss?" You spit into your vox speakers.

"Ze one und only." You could hear the toothy grin in her voice. "Und may I say, zat was masterful, stealing not only my experiment but also my assistant. You vill unfortunately find him utterly useless in experiments, sough. Vorse still as a hostage - I do not care vhat happens to him. Unless, of course, you are planning on keeping him as a pet?"

She cackles here, a strange kind of clicking laugh that sounds as if each exhalation seems to catch in her throat every time. "Sen, maybe for just that, he could be of use..."

You grit your teeth at this. No. Don't rise to it, god dammit. You're Malal now. Kaneda can get angry at that kind of thing, but not you.

"Ah, ze silent treatment? Very amusink, but I did call just for zat. No, I am here to negotiate."

Negotiate?

"Yes, of course. Negotiate." There's anger there, in her voice, but held back carefully behind a wall of calm, collected insanity. "Turn your little bike around und give me back my experiment, and I vill call off Varrigan City. Refuse, und I vill make sure SHE eats you after ze rest of ze city passes you around like a masturbatory aid."

I've already come up with a revenge plan, but it requires some experimentation first.
Luckily we've got some disposable lab rats in the basement of the Officio to use for that!
Chiaki's Soul Gem resembles a Grief Seed now, right? I wonder what would happen if we drove a spike into a Magical Girl's exposed grey matter...
>>

>>28467837
>I wonder what would happen if we drove a spike into a Magical Girl's exposed grey matter...
Very little, really, brain doesn't feel damage done upon it. The victim might lose some functions depending on parts you damaged (sight, balance, parts of memory, etc.) but given how Magical Girls work this shouldn't be that much of an issued, since they can regenerate.

yes, just fine with band new witch-flesh limbs
>>
>>28467889
But the Doktor did something to her soul gem, too. I suppose that makes the changes permanent. Also, it's witch flesh, normal laws don't apply to those.
>>
>>28467902
Wounds are a big weird for MG's. Generally they can be healed, but it's not a sure thing. They can scar, and certain wounds persist.

It's a fair bet that whatever Strauss did to Ekatarina, it's not something that you can solve by amputation. One the Witch flesh fuses, it's part of the recipient and any attempt to regenate that limb would restore the witch flesh infused limb.
>>
>>28467902
Strauss used Witch bits.
Chiaki's Soul Gem resembles a Grief Seed.

Obviously, it's not the same, which is why I want to experiment on the Prophet's cronies, before they're executed. Not the full brainstab thing, just a scratch here and there.
But wouldn't it be wonderful if we take from Strauss that which she values most, her intellect, and ensure that it can never be returned?

"Oh, zat hurt. Zat really, really hurt." Strauss clicks her tongue. "Really, now. You should realize by now zat you have no chance of gettingk out of zis city, MY CITY, alive. All exit points are by now blocked off, und any place that you may pop your little balloon to go up, up, up into the air have all been squared away." Another one of her gasping, clicking cackles here. "So, you have everything to lose here, Culexus, while I have everything to gain." A pause, here. "Ah, that reminds me, I've never had a Culexus as a test subject before. It shall be very interestingk--"

"Really?" You cut her off this time. "If the city's locked down like you say, then why bother negotiating in the first fucking place?" The rubber of Schpeltiger's handlebars creak as you grip them tighter. "Tell you what, now that you've had your saturday morning cartoon villain gloating, what are you really calling me for?"

Another pause, a break in the communication, before she responds. And when she does, it comes as a flood of harshly-hissed words, jagged and sharp, hateful and fanged. Her accent growing thicker as anger overrides it.

"Liszen to me you little shit. I am Doktor Emma Strauss, ze Warmaster of ze Thirteenth. I have performed more zan a souzand experiments on Magical Girls, of vhich breadth and scope your little brain could not possibly comprehend. Und I am giving you one last chance to surrender."

He probably ordered that and Malal went over his head

The culexus corp would probably listen to her more than the rat anyway
>>
>>28468151
You might have missed that the contracts are still going on. If anything, he's now farming his contractees with industrial efficiency.

Don't get all teary-eyed now thinking that he's your best pal in the world. He still has a quota and needs powerful megucas by his side. Just because he's willing to make their lives semi-comfortable before they witch out means nothing.
>>
>>28468151
I'm not so sure that QB cares, exactly.

The slimy little fuck is still difficult to get a read on.

But he does like money, and a healthy officio is the best way to get it. And he revels in a well ordered and efficient Officio.

Plus, he digs ear scritchies.

Really, it seems that long term exposure to human insanity has been teaching most of the QB's some bad habits.
>>
>>28468180
>>28468171
Actually I remember a mention of him changing after Malal contracted from the fuzzy dick we love to hate to the corporate executive we still try to hate but are having trouble with it because he is actually half decent
>>
>>28468171
Compared to other Incubators, he's Gandhi and Mother Theresa combined.
>>

And? He might have mellowed out a bit since his canon incarnation. By that I mean that he now offers a candy for your soul where originally he didn't do even that. And you lot go around screaming "he cares man, he really cares!".

It's still just business for the little bastard, which is fine with me.

Incubators do what incubators do.

They form contracts, they farm entropy, they hire out magical girls as killers.

Thats is what they do, that is what we expect of them.

BUT compared with other incubators, there are lines QB will not cross.

He refuses to assume direct control of his contractees, he absolutely abhors the idea of forcefully witching out the girls under him. They even have an option of retirement without a bullet.

A happy magical girl is a much more productive magical girl, QB said so himself. Imagine the impact on morale if news gets out that the boss is sanctioning experiments on the rank and file magical girls forcefully. It quickens their inching towards the despair threshold since they can't do anything. It's counter-productive to keeping the workforce at high efficiency and increases the rate of turnover. All for the increased capabilities of a handful of magical girls.

The potential losses outway any benefits, even if the augmented magical girls are not stark raving mad. From a business standpoint, QB will choose not to allow such operations to take place.
>>
>>28468206
Mate I don't know what you going on about. QB runs his Officio as a (semi) respectable business; Jyuubey runs his Officio like a chinese sweatshop.
I have a feeling we'll be finding out just how much higher the Tenth's turnover rate is fairly soon.
>>
>>28468217
>that the boss is sanctioning experiments on the rank and file magical girls forcefully
This came from where?
>>
>>28468217
Fuck, QB is one of those dang socialists!
>>
>>28468206
I'm cool with that. He's a good boss. By which I mean, he's an incredibly competent and savvy boss that won't fuck you over for teh lulz or out of laziness like Jyubey.
>>
>>28468206
>It's still just business for the little bastard, which is fine with me.
yeah, exactly. He's an OK boss, but I wouldn't count on the little furry fuck to have your back when you need it.

>>28468217
>He refuses to assume direct control of his contractees, he absolutely abhors the idea of forcefully witching out the girls under him. They even have an option of retirement without a bullet.
To be fair, that's because he's fucking Witch Farming in Siberia. He's got a certain largesse with his grief seeds because he can afford to.

By comparison, I think Joobs has been battery farming his contractees using his own Callidus's illusions to try and compete, but even so he can't really match Kyubeys output.

and then Kyubey stole his best Callidus, which has put him even further behind.
>>
>>28468226

Which magical girl is going to submit themselves willingly to go under the knife for 'upgrades' and experimentation under strauss?
>>
>>28468225
I have no idea what you're on about either. Where did I disagree about Coobz being better than JB? The whole point was that QB treats his girls better, but only because it makes for better business. He doesn't give much of a shit about their fate beyond that.
>>
>>28468186
I thought that was Mami?
>>
>>28468186

>completely missed the writeups about her making kickass combat drugs

>doesn't count all the potential POW like the ex-Third and now Oriko's merry bunch of walking dead

Why are you so shortsighted? I give you a brilliant scientist and all you can think of are "DISSECTIONS FTW"? I expected better.

Strauss is one hell of an asset and nobody practical would miss out on hiring her.
>>
>>28468263

>>completely missed the writeups about her making kickass combat drugs

That she refuses to take herself.

That is HIGHLY suspect. Has it even gone through testing to make sure its safe? If yes, why does she not take it herself?

>>missed the part where there would be volunteersdoing it for more power

I see kidnapped girls like kharn being transformed into half-witch monster hybrids. I cannot see a magical girl volunteering for such a procedure.

>>doesn't count all the potential POW like the ex-Third and now Oriko's merry bunch of walking dead

Do not employ magical pows. Kill them or ransom them. The Ex-Third mess shows that very adequately. And now you want to give them more weapons. Bravo.
>>
>>28468263
the thing about the officio system is you don't have to hire someone directly to benefit from them.

See Malal and her Culexus suits for an example.

Strauss wouldn't be a good fit for Kyubey's Officio, but with enough money he can still benefit from her more palatable labors.
>>
>>28468263
Practicality is one thing.

Someone willing to start wars between officios just so she can mutilate and torture magical girls for her own amusement is bad for morale and worse for business. Mote the internal uprising occurring as we speak.
>>
>>28468263
>completely missed the part where said combat drugs were extreme addictive and detrimental to the user's mental health
>missed the part where she happily go well beyond the agreed-to procedures, asking 'Informed consent? What are you talking about, she came to me of her own will, did she not?' all the while
>experiment on POWs to give them super powers is a good idea
You're a retarded chucklefuck. Go die.
>>
>>28468282
>Has it even gone through testing to make sure its safe?
The fifth batch is supposed to be safe enough.

>If yes, why does she not take it herself?
Because she isn't a combatant?

>I cannot see a magical girl volunteering for such a procedure.
That's your problem then. If I was a meguca, I'd visit her readily for some augmentations.

>Kill them or ransom them.
Or experiment before sending them to the other side. You're incredibly shit on managing resources, you know that?

>>28468286
>Someone willing to start wars between officios
I admit I missed the war where 9th wiped out the 13th. Apologies.

>>28468291
You fucking retard. The drugs were getting better with each new version. Her client was stupid and bought the worst of the bunch.

This is why you people would never make good Incubators.
>>
>>28468282
Believe it or not, most scientists do not actually use themselves as test subjects unless there's some kind of desperate reason to. Even if they're making harmless drugs.

As for why she won't take them after the testing phase, it's probably assumed that she has no personal interest in their effects. She's a scientist and not a combat monster, after all.
>>
Gentlemen.
A proposition, a simple one.
All this talk of Strauss being of use to us has one problem.

Would Murderface REALLY want to do anything with her? Especially after this flashback ends and she's heard about what she's done?

So, let's all ignore the positives and negatives of whether to use her and just kill her if she causes us trouble, hm?
>>

At least, that is the assumption that some could make about the reason she doesn't take them, the truth being a different matter.

Well, now. You like this particular Strauss more - someone who has the decency to talk straight with you, someone who doesn't need to wax on forever about shit you don't need to hear. You'll consider her terms, and give your answer posthaste. But before you do - can she just tell you something you've been itching to find out?

"Eh? Vhat is it?" Strauss' voice is still tight with anger, but with a decidedly marked decrease in crazy. "Ah, you vant to find out about Ekaterina, eh? Curious about Doktor Strauss' brilliant experiment?"

Well, she can say that, yes.

"Hmm. Maybe I am mistaken about you, little Culexus." The Warmaster's anger seems to quickly give way to a grudging interest. "Very well. You are familiar with the life cycle of a Magical girl, yes? The fate that awaits us if we neglect our Soul Gems?"

Yeah. Yeah, everyone knows that. Any Incubator makes it a point to mention it when they present the contract, and it's always in big, bold print.

"Yes. The Gift of Truth." Strauss cackles. "Zen, humor me here a bit. Magical Girls and Vitches - zey are different, very different from each other, yes? Vun is a stalwart defender of good against evil-" She snorts here. "...und the other is a mindless monster who is reduced to their baser instincts. But zey are two sides of the same coin, are zey not?"

It's a bit of a stretch, but you suppose so. Still, you don't see how that connects to hacking up Ekaterina's limbs and welding crazy shit onto them--

"Ah! So impatient! Just like Americans!" The thickly-accented Warmaster tuts here, loudly. "See, zat is vhat I am trying to do. Two disparate zides, two evolutionary extremes. I vant to create a link between the two - Magical Girls who retain conscious thought and personality, vith all ze strength of a Witch! SYNTHESIS!"

...What. So, the things on Ekaterina's arms and legs really are--

[1/2]
>>
>>28468378

"Are only vhat you see!" Strauss is positively laughing now. "Her claws and legs are merely vhat is presented on ze outside! Her body, her mind, her biological makeup, her DNA, even her SOUL...I have managed to do it! Ze first ever synthesis of a Magical Girl and a Witch!"

Her cackling is drowned out by the sound of what sounds like a thousand hot-wired engines being gunned to their limits behind you - and you turn to see a thousand-wheeled monster eating up the road. A collective of nitro-injected punknaughts, motorcycles, and junker beasts of cars with all sorts of weaponry lashed onto them. You make to spit out an epithet, before Strauss' voice shrieks a single word into your ear.

"MAERORUS!"

More cackling, here, and you grit your teeth at this. Jesus, to do something like that...

You're no longer dealing with saturday morning villain crazy here. You're dealing with advanced crazy.

"Yes, my dear Culexus, what you have zere with you is the first Maerorus in existence." It's here that Strauss lets out a satisfied sigh. "Und I need her back to show to my...generous benefactors zat my experiment, after so many failed attempts, finally vorked. So you see, she is very important to me, und I vould like to have her back."

A chuckle. "Ah, ze first bounty hunter force should be making zere appearance now, yes? So, you vill agree zat ve do not need to pursue zis to its final stupidity, ja? Pull over, lay down your weapons, und tell their leader - he will be a particularly ugly-looking fellow with a pink mohawk - that you are submitting yourself to Strauss' mercy. He vill know, und he vill deliver you three unharmed to me. I vill take my assistant and Ekaterina back, und you vill be allowed to return to wherever you came from."

How do you respond?

Rebellion Spoilers

She IS separated. The scene in question has Homura separating Madoka from Madokami. The translation is awful, but she basically look Madoka out and stole "the law of cycles" for herself.
>>
>>28468709
To be fair, I'm pretty sure that Homu did that to stop the QB's from tapping her powers.

When you look at her world, it's custom set up so that sooner or later, everyone in it is going to rebel, just like she did.

In the meantime, I think she's trying to teach the QB's to despair so they'll learn the value of hope and have to work with Madoka if they want out.

Once again, Homura is Madoka's equal and opposite.

This is wrong, Hat-chan.

She is not separated at all. That was the case in Homura`s Barrier but not after Homura rewrote things. The last scene with Madoka where things come full circle imply that Madoka still is Madokami and she just doesnt remember it. If she should remember it she would awaken as Madokami again. Thanks to Homucifer Megucas dont exist anymore because Curses who have birth to witches and later demons dont exist anymore in the first more. In place of curses there exists Homucifer.

You grit your teeth and force yourself, for what seems to be like the fourth or fifth moment, to calm down and think rationally. It's much too easy to get angry with someone like Strauss - someone who believes that she's in the right no matter how wrong she is. She's even proud of it, reveling in what she's done like it's some sort of goddamn achievement.

Well. If there's one thing you learned about her type - it's that they're never worth dealing with. Never worth trusting. They'll turn on you on a drop of the hat, and justify it as the right decision at the time. The right decision for themselves, with no regard for anyone else.

You turn to Souji and signal to him to hold on.

"You drive a hard bargain, Strauss," You finally reply as you flick the open cover of the second nitro charge open with your right thumb. At the same time, you press gently on the 'GRENADES' button with your other thumb - the compartments at the back once more clicking with their deadly payload, but not yet releasing. "And I'm really glad you shared that information with me. Any other day I'd have done what you asked. But there's something I know that you don't."

"Hmmmm? Zat is impossible, you know. I am Doktor Emma Strauss, and zere is nothing I do not know!"
You press both buttons hard, at the same time.

"I don't die in Varrigan City."

"Eh? Vhat are you talking about--" Strauss starts, before the deafening whine and the searing heat of the engine overcharging itself begins to make itself known. "No. NO! YOU VILL REGRET ZIS, YOU FOOL, I--"

The second charge doesn't feel like a shove in the back like the first one did - rather, this time it feels like a solid, massive kick slamming hard against you and sending you screaming into the follow-through. A deep, bassy explosion of force that once more turns the entire scenery into nothing but a blur, making wind resistance feel like knives tearing at your suit, hooking into your flesh and then pulling back.

[1/2]
>>
>>28469219

You dimly hear Souji shout something, but it's lost in the guttural, roaring protest of reality on how fast you're actually going. Schpeltiger itself is shaking, shaking hard enough to nearly buck you off of your seat, but you hang on as hard as you can. Forcing the monstrous bike to your will. To your will.

Images and scenery whip by, too fast too see, but you focus your attention forward enough that you can catch glimpses of it. Other hordes of gangers and bikes, joining the chase from streets and towns the Red Line is cutting across - but being thrown to the side at the resulting turbulence at your passing.

One particular punknaught seemed to have the idea of ramming into you the moment you came into a particular T-junction had its entire front sheared off - simply by being too close the moment you shot past. The rest of it ended up rolling through five ramshackle buildings, bouncing a couple of times before smashing through a wall.

It's here, once the second charge had finally petered out - and the horde earlier all but a memory, left behind in your dust - that something else makes its presence felt above you. One whose engine roar managed to drown out that of Schpeltiger's.

...It's a plane. A big one. It's a fucking C-130, flying low enough that you can almost see the rivets on its hull. With another deafening roar, it soars ahead of you, presenting a rear door already in the process of opening.

And it's here that you see a...something. A deformed form, clearly seven feet tall, rippling with bulging, veined muscles and ridged with bony spikes. Some sort of device, embedded deep in the middle of its wide frame, glowing a bright, blinding yellow. Its hulking arms terminating not in hands, but in long metal cylinders, each one brutally spiked and edged.

And beside it is a hunched form, with wild scraggly hair, a top hat and the most crazed grin you've ever seen.

Strauss.

You see her say a single word - and the monstrosity beside her flings itself out of the plane.

Both spiked arms reaching out towards you as it sends itself hurtling directly into your path.

Time seems to slow down here again, syrupy in pace, allowing you to say two words just before the inevitable happened.

Very good ruse QB, nobody will suspect that an alien that can live for hundreds of years acts nice now and will turn utterly evil a couple hundred years down the line. I thought this was /tg/, do you even Tzeentch?

And practically speaking, he's still getting all he could ever want for a nebulous purpose that might as well not exist for us. He's not saving anybody, he's selling hired guns, hitmen and mass murderers for the highest bidder. That's what he does to Humanity, the Entropy stuff might as well be a pretty lie to lull the magical girls (and you) into thinking he follows a higher goal. Not like you'll ever see the end use oif it anyway when Madoka witches out and destroys planet Earth, only because of him and his ilk.

You suck in a breath between your teeth - waiting for just the right moment to make your move. Strauss' monster - this thing of meat and metal and god knows what else - seems to hang in the air in freefall, and as it plummets ever closer, it's here that you see its eyes. Wide, glaring, and completely and utterly white. Black-veined and bloodshot, but no pupil whatsoever.

The moment comes, and you take it. Shifting your weight to the side just as you turn the handlebars deftly, carefully, minutely. Compensating for the added weight of your passengers as you swerve around the falling creature - just enough to avoid it, and at the same time maintain the clean line of acceleration you're making.

You could feel the Schpeltiger protesting here, at the kind of maneuvers you're forcing it to do in such a speed. There's a reason why Nicole loved this thing - it was a nightmare to control in the corners, but completely murderous in a straight line. Still, making it artful was something you could do with enough disregard for safety, and it's with a sigh of relief that you realize that you've succeeded in doing such - with the falling abomination whipping past you, its arms flailing desperately.

You make to gun the throttle, to let the Schpeltiger pull away to safety when--

CRASH.

Kyoko is the best girl.

Two sounds. The first a frustrated scream of rage coming from the ragged slit of flesh that Strauss' creation had for a mouth - followed immediately by the second, the ear-splitting crunch of metal smashing into metal and something tearing away at the impact.

Immediately Schpeltiger bucks under you, the handlebars trying to twist themselves out of your grip as you lose control - causing Souji to yell, to scream from behind you. You grit your teeth as you fight the wounded beast you're riding for control - before it finally dies, and all three of you are thrown into the air as it crashes.

The world starts to spin here, wildly, the sky and the ground alternating places, the sound of Schpeltiger's wreckage rolling end over end lending a tragic backbeat to your sudden flight. You catch the briefest glimpse of Souji about to crack his skull all over the pavement, the limp form of Kharn in his arms - and you throw your arm at him, along with what strength you can desperately tear from your reserves at the time.

You have a moment's respite - to see Souji's motion arrest itself in midair, cancelling out his momentum in one split second - before you yourself fall mercy to physics, hitting the ground hard enough and fast enough that you feel several bones in several places crunch. Your ribs, certainly, and probably a wrist and an ankle - but your spine being twisted nearly to the point of breaking is new.

Tasting pain and blood on your tongue, it's with a curse that you finally roll to a stop, five feet away from where Schpeltiger's ruined form lies on its side. Souji and Ekaterina landed a bit farther, but the young man is standing up even now, looking unscathed, along with the limp bundle in his arms.

He's pointing behind you. You can't make it out - the impact's fried your sound receptors, probably, it's nothing but static at the moment - but the guttural roar that suddenly erupts from behind you is loud enough to even penetrate your soundprooofed helm.

You manage to pull yourself up to your knees - a motion that makes every single nerve ending in your body stab you to your very core, and your head to swim in a wave of nausea - and look.

"I'M...GONNA FIX YOU," The monster screeches, the words falling like a guttural avalanche. Half of its flayed face has been ground away, revealing bone - most probably from its fall, and being dragged by Schpeltiger before it tore the motorcycle's back wheel out. It slams its pillared hands together, metal sparking off of the impact. The glowing yellow light deep in its chest cavity pulsating, seemingly in time with its own heartbeat.

"Like him, little Culexus?" Strauss cackles into your ear, her voice broken up by intermittent bursts of static. You shake your head and get up onto your feet, willing your own Magical Girl physiology to start healing itself, to start knitting itself together - despite it not really working that way. "He is one of my little children. I have named him Butterfingers! It is very cute, don't you zhink?"

That's...haah. Fuck. That's so funny she should kill herself.

"Ah, suicide! I have alvays sought it vould be such a vaste to do such a thing. But I guess you can call yourself doing zat too, since you did not accept my offer in ze first place."

She cackles again, just as the C-130 flies overhead, back to where it came from. "Goodbye, little Culexus. I vill make sure to treat your corpse vid ze respect it deserves: NONE! Hakhakhakhakhakhhhh!"

The Warmaster's laugh dwindles into static, and then silence. You shake your head again, before reaching over to pull your crowbar off of its maglock.

Bitch. You fucking crazy bitch, Strauss.

Seems you'll have to put down this Butterfingers dude, then. Whatever it is.

You look up at it. It's breathing hard, towering over you, what's left of its face twitching from facial tics. Most probably brought about by the jagged, painful-looking implants jutting out from its skull.

...Jesus. And you were close to the docks, already. The sign at the side of the road, a few meters away from where you crashed, said the docks were less than a few kilometers away.

Gnh. Nothing for it.

How do you react?

[X]Use 'that'.

I have no idea what I am voting for but I hope we're using that super sedative we got from Fran, 3 shots and it won't wake up, ever.

Nico is going to kill us when she finds out about her bike.

>[X]Use 'that'.

But every time I used 'that', it got outsped by everything and couldn't take a hit!

>>28470249
Probably not. It only worked on Kharn because she wasn't in full rage mode; Butterfingers is prepped and ready to go.

It's Chiaki right? Right? That's some real gap moe.

Thanks for running, the archive has been updated.

Can we rebuild Schpeltiger?

will Nico ever forgive us?
>>

Pretty much, yes! The first and third options were the safe options!

>>28470513

Hahaha! No, of course not!

>>28470532

>>
>>28470579
They just had to swerve, seriously Shpeltiger's immunity to frontal impact would have made it awesome

I think the shoot option would have had us aim for the glaringly obvious weakpoint that this opponent has.
>>
>>28470764

in hindsight, it was in the air and might have knocked him off balance.

but only Decu knows what else could have happened if we skipped fighting it.

We could have gotten a fucking Patriarch.

>>
>>28470808
>but only Decu knows what else could have happened if we skipped fighting it.
True.
Decu did say that if we had skipped this fight, that another likely would have been prepared at the docks.
By fighting the FP here, we got Strauss to go away, secure in her victory, rather than seeding our escape route with more surprises.
>>
>>28470827
None of us have.
>>
>>28470846
We're still several km's off the docks, no transport and a small motorized army after us. I'd rather have fought at the docks where the ship could have helped.
