Psychological mindfuck of a dungeon with emphasis on constant dread and unease.

This is pretty cool shit, but a bit loud for the quieter parts. Would be good for the prelude to the 'boss fight' area.

Except it was found in 1954, years before SPutnik, the first satellite, and it is in an orbit we couldn't achieve until 1960. still up there - or a replica. Maybe the ETI got lazy?

It's called a satellite because it's in orbit, despite having never ever given off any detectible emissions. There's a shitload of photos of it.

Even if it is just some piece of ancient wreckage from a soviet test that they fucked, somehow ending up in a polar orbit in a trillion to one shot, we don't have that bit of information. We don't know. That's what makes it creepy.

There's also all sorts of weird broadcasts that were caught in the 60s. There were apparently dozens of secret test launches by the Soviets, in which they were sending people and who knows what into space. There's a recording of one woman reentering atmosphere in a system with no brakes, parachutes or whatever, and it's just her, talking how she's dying.

Freaky shit.
>>
>>28921278
Pretty sure that's also been debunked. Not to say there aren't plenty weird, likely covert intelligence related broadcasts, but the mystery is almost always overblown.

>>
>>28921313
you could also read it
>>
>>28921254
I won't comment on the references I can't pull up with google, which is.. all of them without a direct address. I will point out that they're all from 1960, right when they started writing it off and claiming it to be discoverer wreckage, despite the fact that the discoverer program started in 1959 and it was found in 54. Incidentally, do you know that a satellite doesn't have to be transmitting? I'm not claiming it is. A satellite can be anything in orbit.

Those WITH links do absolutely nothing to address the issue. At all. They're on pulsars and the aurora and radio transmissions. Noone is claiming the thing is transmitting. Except crazy people.
>>
>>28921326
I came to the link myself, and yeah, reading it is better.
>>
>>28921292
Again, it was found in 1954. In an orbit we couldn't achieve until 1960. When the first satellite was launched in 1957. Help a brother out. You're the only one bringing up transmissions. I'm only saying that it was there, long before it should have been.
>>
>>28921379
"Those 1954 newspaper reports of two satellites in orbit? It was merely tongue-in-
cheek reporting of the wild claims of a UFO crank trying to sell a book. The Air Force officer cited was merely a guy who had seen a UFO once, but in no way corroborated the idea of unknown satellites orbiting Earth. Nothing to do with the alleged Black Knight."

One of which was later retracted, the other left in, with a seperate government report with confirmation of something floating around, that isn't air force related? Help me out here, anon. You're yet to do anything but first show me some people who have been taking crazy pills. You don't want to think about it, don't. It's certainly possible it's some sort of early test, but it seems unlikely that it'd end up in that orbit. Or any orbit.

Maybe it's a rock. Maybe it's me from the future, fucking with people in the 1950's.
