You quietly gather your things and shove them into your bag, taking care not to alert the people outside to your presence. You manage to get everything put away quietly, and head for the back door. You tip-toe down the stairs and make a break for the door, but as you open it, you hear a loud crash as the front door flies open and you spot the thugs from outside entering the house. They see you leaving, and give chase.

You run out the door and leap the wall of the yard, which proves very tough when you're weighed down like this. You make your way through the city streets, headed to the gate to escape pursuit. However it becomes clear to you that you won't outrun them with all your things strapped to your back. One of them is gaining on you now, crashing through the back alleys of town in tear.

You realize now that there's no other way out of the situation. You relax your shoulders and let your bag slip off. As it falls to the ground you can feel yourself picking up speed. You glance back to see the pursuers leaping over your dropped things, kicking the bag over in the dirt.

You make it to the town gate, and keep running down the road until you can't see the thugs chasing you anymore. You stop and fall onto your rear, desperately trying to catch your breath. After a while, you stand up and dust yourself off. All of your belongings are still in town, but those thugs are no doubt on the lookout for you.

With a heavy heart, you decide that it will be best to continue your journey without your material possessions. You being walking down the dirt road, hands in your pockets.

Sunset comes, and a chilly wind rolls over the hills. You have no fire, no food, and nothing to drink. You need to begin gathering if you hope to make it through the night.

You decide that it's best to focus on water and shelter before anything else. You search around the area for any source of water, but find none. Eventually you resort to picking long grass and chewing it for the little moisture it provides. After, you search for a suitable place to sleep.

You look around the area for a suitable tree in which to perch. Picking out here are slim, what with it being a hilly area, but you do eventually find one that seem large enough to climb.

The ascent is rough. You never climbed many trees in your youth, but you find your way up and nestle on a forked branch that will seem to serve as a decent bed, provided nothing knocks you down from your spot. The wind that night is chilly, and your stomach rumbles a bit as you drift off.

The next few weeks are a battle to carry on. You keep eating tall grass, but it doesn't fill, and soon you feel your body begin to cannibalize itself for nutrients. Training is difficult at best, and you really don't feel much improvement. You go from your normal state to a thin shadow of yourself. After so long with so little, you finally reach the base of the mountain of the Monkey King. There is a bustling town at it's base, and upon seeing it, your stomach begins to growl loudly. But with no coin, you will find it hard to get by.

You take the long away to avoid the town completely. You make your way to the foot of the mountain, and begin the daunting climb. Luckily, it's nearly summer now, and the mountain won't be too cold as you climb.

The beginning of your climb is fairly easy. Where the rock doesn't provide a natural path, it form simple hand and footholds to assist you. Later in the day, however, you grow weary and unstable. You can barely summon the strength to pull yourself up the side of the mountain, to the point that you begin to contemplate ducking into a small niche in the rock and having a nap before continuing.

You crawl into a small gap in the rocky face and try to position yourself as comfortably as you can. As it turns out, that's not very comfortable. With great effort, you manage to fall asleep nestled between the stone walls. You barely sleep for an hour before you can't continue. Your back is sore from the hard and jagged floor already. You are doubting your ability to make the rest of the climb as you are.

You drag yourself out of the stone niche and begin climbing again. With every ounce of energy left in you, you make your way to the top. At some point, your vision goes blurry, and you must feel the rock around you for more places to rest your hands.

You reach out to a small branch growing out of a crack in the rocks, and grab hold of it. However, as soon as you shift your weight to it, you feel it tear out of the side of the mountain and you are sent plummeting. You cover your head as best you can and begin rolling, hitting several rocks on the way. Too afraid of bashing your skull on the jagged edges, you simply do your best to slow your descent without your hands. After what feels like an eternity of pain, you come to a rolling stop at the foot of the mountain. You look down at your body, and see that it is battered and bruised. You try to get back up, but your leg seems to be broken. Even crawling seems impossible, thanks to the immense pain you're in. You finally give up, and resign yourself to your fate, closing your eyes and letting the pain put you to sleep.

You hear noises in the dark. The pain in your body is dull, but omnipresent. Every inch of you hurts. You try to open your eyes, but there is nothing but black. You wiggle your extremities, but find it impossible to allocate much energy to them, no matter how hard you try. Your throat is parched, and your stomach still growls and pains you. Somehow though, you feel warm, and coddled. You definitely aren't on the mountain anymore, or at least someone seems to have found you. You try to vocalize, but your weak lungs and throat don't comply. You don't think you can stay conscious much longer.

You muster your strength and try to force the words from your mouth. The first time doesn't work, with barely a groan and a whisper emitting from your mouth. With effort, however, you do manage to get out a weak whimper for water. There is more noise, distant and barely audible, and a few moments later you feel your head and chest being tilted up, and something is placed against your mouth as cold water begins to slowly rush into your mouth. You can only manage little sips, but it feels fantastic going down.

You awake again, feeling slightly better. It is still dark, but your hearing seems to be returning to you. Your voice is still weak, but you do better at calling out for water, and the person tending you even feeds you a few crackers this time. You lay your head back down and try to get more sleep, conserving yourself for the times when you are woken up to have a bite and a drink.

It feels like days pass before you can speak up in an audible tone again. The person caring for you enters the room, and you can hear water swishing in a small bowl. You ask for their name, but get no response, only more cracker crumbs on your cheek. You give up and eat more, hoping to get better and get this headwrap off soon.

After a few more days pass, you regain finer motor control, but it is still painful to move to much or too rapidly. On one particular day, the person caring for you brings you not only food and water, but a strange sour smelling mixture that you can hear fizzing when they hold it up to your mouth. You throw back the fizzy stuff, and immediately regret it. It is slimy going down, and burns your throat a bit even as is passes. You cough violently after it's all the way down, and in a few moments you feel your wounds stinging and itching. You try to pat them through the bandages but it's no use. This awful sensation lasts for nearly 30 seconds before it finally begins to wane, and you can calm down. After, your caretaker pats your head and feeds you more crackers. You notice soon that most of your lesser wounds are feeling much better, and even the greater ones don't feel nearly as bad.

Your caretaker continues to force the fizzy mixture down your throat every night, and it never gets any easier to take. Afterward, though, they always stroke your head and feed you. It's starting to feel like you're some kind of pet, but you don't mind. Soon enough you feel the strength coming back to your legs, and you think you might be able to stand up.

You wait until your caretaker comes to feed you, and after swallowing the fixzzy stuff, ask them if they wouldn't mind helping you try to walk around a bit. At first, there's no response, but then you feel their hands raising you up. You swing your legs over the side of the bed, and place them on the floor. It's shocking at first how cold the floor is, after so much time having your feet wrapped up in the bedsheets. Your caretaker pulls you up, and you struggle to balance. Your legs hurt a bit, but not too bad. You take a few steps and get the hang of walking once more. You laugh, returning to the bed to rest more.

You thank them for the assistance, emphasizing the joy brought to you by being that much closer to recovery. You ask if there would be any way to practice again tomorrow, but as usual there is no vocal answer. You try to convince them to stick around longer than usual and converse, but your only response is footsteps and the sound of a door shutting. Time passes on, and eventually you regain the ability to rise from the bed and walk on your own. You also get to remove most of your bandages, providing you with much more mobility. Now the only injured part of you seems to be your head and back. That night, your caretaker brings you another meal. You talk to them about how much better you've been feeling, fully aware that there will be no response. They hand you the crackers and water, which you eat silently. Then, you receive the bottle of fizzy stuff. As you raise it to your lips, you notice something. The smell from this one is much sweeter, and the bottle is even shaped a bit different.

Seeing an opportunity to do some recon of your environment, you begin carefully unwrapping your bandages. It takes a while, but you figure out the wraps and your eyes are free to take in the world again. There is very little light in the room, but even so it takes a moment to adjust them. When your vision clears, you see the bed you're on is a bit old, and the room around you isn't as clean as you'd been picturing it. There is small side table against the wall next to you, but other than that there is little to see in the room. There is a small window, shut and blinded to the outside. All you can deduce is that it must be night out.

You get up from the bed and stretch yourself out. You can hear and feel your joints popping as you do. It's extremely satisfying. After limbering up, you hop around the floor to test your balance. After several tests, you deem yourself fit as a fiddle. The only thin you could use now is a good meal.

You proceed to crank out a few sets of push ups and sit ups, as well as some shadow boxing to get your heart rate going. As you wind down, you hear footsteps from outside.

You watch as the door opens, and a small tray pops on the doorway, followed by a thing figure in loose robes, topped with a tall, pointed hat. The dark betrays your vision, but you see that as they step in and see you up and about, yhe tray spills to the floor and the door slams shut again. You try to catch up, but slip and nearly fall on a puddle of pink stuff bubbling on the wooden floor. You look carefully and see shards of glass, and the remains of two almond cookies.

You use the tray to place the glass shards and cookie bits on, careful not to cut your fingers on the shards. Once you think you've gotten them all, your back is sort from bending, and you sit back on the bed, leaving the tray on the side table. You lay down and shut your eyes, electing to let your caretaker sort themselves out before you run off after them. Despite your efforts, you drift off into sleep.

The next morning, you wake up to a new, clean tray with a few crackers and a bottle of pink fizzing stuff on the side table. There is no sign of anyone else in the room. You also your clothes, neatly washed and folded at the foot of the bed.

You eat the crackers and down the pink fizz. It goes down smooth and sweet, and you deduce that it must be the second mixture you've been drinking all this time. You allow the last few drops to hit your tongue, before redressing. Your clothes feel soft and comfy, not to mention warm after all the time you spent half nude.

You begin your workout with jumps, warming yourself up and getting your heart pumping. You follow with normal exercises and shadow boxing until you feel sufficiently tired. You've already gotten your clothes a bit damp with sweat. Now all there is left to do is look around and try to find your caretaker.

You exit the room and enter a small hallway. The hall is completely bare of decoration. You shut the door behind you and begin thinking on which way to go. To the left, you can hear the noises of nature: birds, bugs, etc. To the right, you think you can smell something cooking, but nothing you're familiar with.

You move quietly down the staircase, careful not to make a noise that may startle anyone in the room. At the bottom, you peek your head around the corner. You see a large room, open to the outside, with several shelves stacked high and crammed with jars and pots of this and that. There also appear to be a few bound books on the shelves and scattered about the room. You look up and see the figure in the robes and hat from earlier, standing atop a stool and peering into a rather large cauldron of bubbling broth. You can't see into the cauldron, but you can make out a pinkish mist rising from it. The figure appears to be stirring the cauldron and adding dashes and splashes of things from it's hidden pockets.

You feel something on your shoulder, and turn to see an enormous spider resting on you. It is hairy, fat, and seems to have nearly a dozen eyes centered on you.

You take a breath and a gulp, and smile politely at the enormous arachnid. You attempt to raise your free arm and wave at it, but it doesn't seem to respond to your niceties. As you stand pondering your next course of action, you feel the spider begin to quickly crawl around your torso, in a perfect spiral rising and falling with each few rotations. You lift your shirt carefully and see that it appears to be adjusting and playing with your bandages, as well as cleaning them up. You realize only now that the bandages must be the work of this spider, or else how would it know so well how to keep them. You touch them with your fingertips and realize that they do feel different from ones you've felt before.

Once the spider finishes, it drops to the floor and scurries around the corner of the staircase. You peek around again to see it climb the stool and perch on the shoulder of the robed figure. A small hand goes up to pat its head, then gets back to work stirring.

You step out from behind the corner and enter the room proper. You try not to let your bootsteps be too intimidating, and speak softly as you announce your presence. This all seems for naught, however, when upon realizing your entry, your caretaker wobbles and falls to the floor with a great and painful thud. You try to catch them and help them up, but they begin crawling at top speed out the great door and around the other side of the building. The spider follows behind.

You give chase, but upon reaching the outside there appears to be no trace of anyone. You look around the side of the building, but still there is nothing. You scratch your head and turn back to the cauldron room, and are startled to see the spider again. It sits on the wall above the doorway, and next to it dangles another pink fizz bottle, wrapped up in a weave of web and swaying gently on a thick strand. The spider makes no movements, but seems to be watching you.

You politely ask the spider to bring you to it's master, so that you may thank them properly for their abundant kindness. Whether it understands your words, you are unsure, but it does begin to move. It trails all over the wall above the doorway, weaving something on the wall. When it is finished, it lets the work fall and hang from the doorway. You reach up for the bottle, and detach it from the webs. Some of them remain stuck to it, but you ignore them and put the mouth to your lips. You drink the pink fizz, noticing that it is much warmer than usual. The flavor is still the same, and you get the same warm feeling in your chest and stomach when it goes down.

The spider skitters beneath the arch and disappears for a moment. You wait patiently, watching the cloud shift overhead. Finally you look at the staircase and see something emerge. There is a figure draped in a white sheet, approaching you slowly. Black robes and slippers are showing beneath the sheet, and the spider sits on top, looking at you. It is clear that whoever is beneath the sheet can't see anything around them, and is using the spider as a sort of third eye.

The spider stares at you, rubbing its large forelegs together, as if in anticipation.

Yell a few words of thanks, then leave.
"For what it's worth, I think you're cute!"
We tried to stop it. Not very hard, but we tried.
But... this is /tg/.
There is always a waifu.

Could've Mr. Rags fallen asleep?

Or maybe it's a massive update.
>>
>>29016055
We have waifued in the second thread.
He may be busy tearing his hair out in frustration at our antics.
>>
>>29016124
Well, we met our future waifu from Episode 1 in the first thread. Granted it took us more for it to actually become a waifu, but we did start the plans in threads 1-2
>>
>>29016124
Also, I might need to quit if the wait becomes too long. I'll upload the thread to suptg now, but if Mr. Rags posts again someone needs to re-request it to update it.
Alright?
>>
>>29016165
...unfortunately, I fear I'm in the same boat. It's now quarter past nine.
In the morning.
I've been here about an hour short of a day.
I may have a problem.
>>
>>29016201
Here it's 7 am.
Oh well.

Mr. Rags, if you come back here later and we aren't around, we look forward to the next thread.
