14th day of prophecy, location unknown, 12:20amThe next few moments following the long awaited healing of the Demon Lord passed by in a blur; despite your protests with the concern with a certain winged berserker imminent threats to your loved ones your patient-turned-nurse didn’t want to hear any of it and forced you to finish this newly founded ‘’spell therapy’’ while enjoying the good company of her retinue or, as she taken to call it, «little family» despite the two newest additions having been here for less than a month.All in all you welcome the fact that you won’t have to go through this overheating, forcing all of your nerves into an incredibly hot, vice-like tightening in your entire body is enough pain to drive a man bald and crazy, the constant shimmering of the (somehow) soft flame extending from the Demon Lord palm to the middle of your chest soothe much of your worries; which of course fueled a bout of paranoia about potential hypnotism, but the lessening pain and tightening of your chest along with the decrease of your palpitations won you over fast, when Mylen put her foot down to literally force you to relax, you had to give up.
Thus, with an overjoyed Bletsia charging toward the kitchen while forcing the reluctant Oni with her mandibles behind her (freeing you from her curiosity, the girl had taken to poke your arm with a stick), you took advantage of the lull in action to start explaining your situation to the Demon Lord, detailing much of the events that transpired following the battle with Wilmarina Noscrim; everything afterward seem to have passed by in a blur for the Succubus and thus, you obliged while leaving certain details out of the picture for the sake of your bodyguard, the events that transpired interested Daiyu greatly, enough for her to look positively taken in by your tale despite your total inadequacy as a storyteller and, once your long tale over, Daiyu and her aide became silent, although the Demon Lord simply looked like she was relaxed because she soon stretched comfortably on the bed; making you finally realized that her attire was on the light side…‘’Hrm… what do you make of her getting that knife anyway?’’The demonic Goat finally started speaking while you tried your best to resist the pain Mylen gave you as she squeezed your hand when the green-haired succubus gesture for you to sit beside her, your instincts almost made you jump at the opportunity, her casualness was eroding your common sense… or maybe it’s the constant magic flowing into you…Fully embracing your paranoia wasn’t wise.‘’I can’t say for sure…’’Finally, the demon speak up, her gaze falling down while her face cloud over by sad nostalgia, only the brief clamor of the kitchen in the next room break the sudden silence brought on by Daiyu bout of sadness, it’s almost enough to make you forget the disparity of strengths… something that wasn’t forgotten by your bodyguard thankfully.‘’…I’ve seen her grow for years and I lost sight of her for three decades, I don’t think I can pretend to know who my daughter is anymore’’
The homely feeling (as well as the inevitable mischievousness from Mylen bout of jealousy) evaporates as you feel a poignant bout of sadness and no small end of self-pity coming from the succubus, it’s a very complicated feeling and one that certainly work to make you feel bitter as, for your concern, you share Mylen hatred of the Lilim but for Daiyu, the situation is undoubtedly more complicated; how many parents can find the resolve to bring the sword toward their own children? Will she even be able to? This newborn soul link of yours is burgeoning still but the vision you had during its creation left a mark, the devastation of the dwarven Kharaks and Elven forest cities is a grim reminder f who it is, exactly, you’ve just entwine your soul with.A woman drenched in the blood of two races, a demon that single handedly reduced a set of priceless cultures to naught. …The soul link was a hasty solution; you’ve got to make up your mind about the Demon Lord, can you really look away from her sins? So say the Demon Lord, her hand travel up and down, creating a lingering wave of flame that fly toward your torso while embers spread around her profile, lighting up the matron succubus in an endearing soft light… unfortunately the atmosphere is broken by the little she goat as she plop down right next to the bigger woman on the comfy bed. ‘’Might as well go through everything good in this dump’’Mylen, for her part, simply look at you with concern, and then break the stare to observe your belly… and let out a dissatisfied sigh.‘’Right, some food would do him some good’’…Well it seems they’ve decided without you, what do you do?

And with that the nice homely atmosphere settled back in, you couldn’t find it in you to break it with the earnest insect enjoying herself in this company, friendship seem to have grown fast between these women; there wasn’t any trace of awkwardness between any of them, little jab and small pranks happened here and there all around the demon Lord whose wings were nice and deployed with her demonic friend shamelessly stealing a spot to rest on the leathery skin. It’s not the kind of picture you’d expect of the great, dreary lord of demons, source of all corruption, and the one mortal foe of all mankind… Even Mylen appeared somewhat disturbed by the ease and peace surrounding Daiyu and, deep in your thought, you jumped when the Succubus spoke up during a little lull, fatigue had taken everyone by storm and most were busy yawning and stubbornly keeping themselves awake.‘’You seem quite fine now, Siegfried…’’She broke the silence, waving her flaming hand and cutting the magical projection, severing the magical link reinforcing your body, causing a sensation of loss and hunger quite similar to what you feel around corruption, thankfully the unending nausea and disorientation inherent to incoming Overcast (the two most obvious symptoms) didn’t rear their ugly heads but of course, you still clung to Focus.‘’…We have rooms prepared, I’ll try to accommodate your war-machine as well if a storm pick up during the night.
