The year is 0 BBY, roughly 5 days before Princess Leia is attacked and captured above Tatooine. You are TK-881, a newly enlisted Stormtrooper of the Galactic Empire. Having just completed your rigorous training, you have been deployed to reinforce the garrison on the desert world of Tatooine, which has suffered somewhat due to Tusken Raider attacks, and poor leadership. Equipped with standard Stormtrooper blast armor, all of its functionality, and a new E-11 blaster rifle, you disembark from the troop transport into a sandy hell of a garrison base. Your HUD updates, informing you that you should report to the registration terminal, then to your assigned bunk. Other Stormtroopers and Imperial Army units mill about the base, following orders, as a light sandstorm rolls over the walls, making your future here seem bleak. What would you like to do?

Not one to shirk orders, especially when you're the Emperor's finest, you march immediately to the registration terminal and input your registration code. After a few tedious forms, you are assigned a bunk (88652), and are presented with deployment options. They include:

>Settlement Security (AKA policework)

>Frontier Security (AKA battling Tuskens)

>Inquisitorial Security (AKA hunting insurgents)

>Garrison Security (AKA Military Police/General Base Defense)

Very good lad.

After a few careful moments consideration, you select Inquisitorial Security. The system processes your input, tells you that your request will be sent to the garrison commander for consideration, and directs you to your bunk. You will receive orders first thing the next day. Your HUD changes to a green "Temporary Leave" state, and you are free to do what you want for the next several hours. Being near the town of Mos Eisley, you have a number of options open to you.

>Visit your bunk and sleep the time away

>Visit the Mos Eisley Bazaar

I'll do this until we pick up some momentum and it becomes majority rule.

You jog to the armory and practice for a few hours with CQC equipment, Blaster Rifles/Carbines, and desert warfare tactics, somewhat improving your edge in this new environment. The Quartermaster and Drill Sergeants give you some tips on the terrain and local wildlife. You come out feeling better prepared for the word you've landed on. After stopping by the bunk and properly equipping yourself for the area, you have just enough time to do one other thing:

Overwhelming bazaar response

You head into town, rifle slung over your shoulder, your grimy sandtrooper armor causing the odd shady character to shuffle out of your way. As you enter the bazaar, the sheer backwaterness of the world hits you. Dozens of merchants from stalls and stands hawk wares, trinkets, foodstuffs, weapons both legal and illegal, slaves, and other various wares. Despite your helmet's filters, the stench of a hundred different species, foods, and musks hit you.

>Weapon Vendors

You browse around, and eventually find a part of the bazaar that seems to entirely be arms dealers, of various races, selling blasers, slug throwers, grenades, dart guns, even the odd disruptor and sonic rifle. (as a note, you have 350 Imperial Credits) As you browse, you realize most of the really good things are out of your price range right now, with DL-44s nearing 1300c. You could grab a small wristmounted dart launcher however for 200c that would easily attach to your armor. It comes with 30 Vintox darts, which paralyze the target for about 2 minutes. You can:

>Purchase the Dart Thrower

>Shake down the dealer and try to get something for free

>Leave

>Move on to other vendors
>>
>>29104529
>Purchase the Dart Thrower

You request a demonstration of the dart thrower to make sure it works. After a few test fires, you slide your credit chit, attach the loaded thrower to your wrist, and head back towards base. After taking a quick powernap and drinking some QikCaf from the Canteen on base, you report to the yard to receive orders. An officer in a shockingly flawless uniform stands resolute against the sandy wind, rigid and stern looking. He presses a few buttons on a datapad, and your HUD updates, changing blue to signify you're on duty, and to report to Inquisitor Bintaff In Bestine, to canvass the city for signs of insurrection or Jedi. Boarding the Shuttle, you strap in and notice you're the only trooper on the flight. Must not be a lot of guys who sign up for inquisitorial duty... After about 20 minutes, the shuttle lands in Bestine and you disembark, moving at a fast clip to the location of your Inquisitor and squad. When you finally arrive, Inquisitor Bintaff, an aging man in what appears to be hardened Novatrooper armor, nods to you, and introduces you to the squad. There's Sergeant TK-419 "Guts", Corporal TK-856 "Kryat", Corporal TK-043 "Ariel", and one other Private besides you, TK-612, who has yet to earn a nickname. You greet them in turn, and await the Inquisitor's orders. He begins to consult a datapad. While he does so, Guts greets you, and you spend a few minutes talking to the squad, getting to know them. Ariel is a female trooper, a rarity in this part of the galaxy, but you can't help but feel a bit relieved you're not stuck in an all male unit. Kryat seems to be a scary son of a bitch, apparently having spearheaded an impromtu Kryat Dragon hunt as a private, and personally having gunned the beast down with an E-web. Guts is a rank and file career soldier, having served in the Corps for almost 10 years now, back when it was still mostly made up of Fett clones. Bantiff is a Corellian native, and had been military advisor back in the Clone Wars. He had participated in the Jedi Purge, and has apparently kept the momentum going since then, rooting out enemies of the empire across 25 worlds.

Bintaff finally confirms orders with Command, and informs you all that you're to sweep the cantina and town square today, while he investigates leads in the Bazaar. If you receive comlink orders to travel to his position, he's made a hit, or if you find something, you're to secure the area and contact him. After confirming orders, you and the squad head for the town square, and fan out in pairs, with Guts going alone. 612 and Kryat flank left to look for wanted individuals while you and Ariel fan right to search. Your HUDs will automatically scan faces and search the database, so this is fairly straightforward work. Guts has the hard job of trying to look for unusual activity that needs to be looked into outside of standard sweep procedure. As you search you can:

>Try to chat with Ariel

>Look super hard (roll, I'll average if it's chosen)

You, the mighty TK-881, see... nothing. All in the Town square seems fine. You complete your sweep, reunite with the rest of the squad, and make for the Cantina.
