You wake up. Your eyes fluttering awake the minute the sunlight hits them.
Wait….sunlight?

You push back the blinds to see a fantastic day outside, filled with sunshine and happiness. Hell, you’re pretty sure you see a bunch of girls flying a kite outside. That never happens.

You check the mirror and find nothing drawn on your face. You curse inwardly; last night would have been a big chance to try and get revenge on Marie and Haley. You’ll have to resolve for something later.

You flop back onto the bed cheerfully after showering and getting dressed and pull out your phone. You’ve got a bit of time to kill, so you may as well have a look around on there.
Only question is, which order of business do you want to attend too first?

HAHA, TIME FOR TANKS

You swipe to the side and begin the morning ritual of looking over your emails. It’s weird, but you feel as though you should check them more often. Eh, with all this running around you don’t get much time for anything. Now maybe if you had a tank to drive around in instead….

You rouse yourself from your daydreaming, and check the emails. You have one new email.

Eh, may as well open all of them. They could be important, and you may miss an appointment or a cool opportunity if you don’t read them as soon as possible:

>Hitami Itawa – A Bit of Housekeeping……
Oh boy, you got an email from the ITL. You sigh as you open up the email. This is probably just a follow-up on the last email you got the other day.

>Miss LeClerc, just a small piece of housekeeping regarding your tanks.

>Our ITL officators and technicians will need access to your tanks on the day the schedule is released to make sure that they comply with all rules and regulations provided by the ITL and the North America and Canada Division.

>Additionally, our technicians will outfit your Tanks with the approved equipment, shells and armouring to compete. Note that this does not upgrade your tanks – that must be done on your own time.

>NOTE: The ITL are coming on September 30th

>Thankyou for your time.
>Hitami Itawa

You open up the other email:

>Jessie Duke – Day 1: Success. Thanks Sherbrooke!

>Thankyou, Sherbrooke!

>This is just a quick message to thank everyone who called our delivery agency yesterday to arrange pickups. We had over a Hundred and twenty students asking us for small favours in return for cash and we want to thank each and every single one of you.

>Just a reminder that we will be doing this throughout the term and beyond. Or until Student Law Enforcement shuts us down. Whichever comes last.

>We’re also taking on any students that are looking for a few quick bucks by making deliveries in the general area of Sherbrooke due to the high demand of deliveries asked for.

>Please simply respond to this email with your name and model and make of vehicle you are using if you wish to supply your own.

>Supplying your own vehicle is recommended.

>Once again, a huge thankyou!

>Jessie Duke

You furrow your brow and slide to the next email. Well at least you can determine that they’re legit.

[1/2]
>>
[2/2]

>Jennifer Creighton – Hiya!

Your brow furrows as you open the new email. Now either this is a challenge to a death duel in tanks or its someone who got the address wrong. You begin reading:

>First of all, Hi!

>I’m Jennifer Creighton, and your instructor and my current commander, Kate Bradley gave me your contact details, so I thought I’d shoot you an email and welcome you to the neighbourhood so to speak.

>Firstly, I realize your school has a proud and established history, and that they’ve never tried an endeavor quite like this. Cobbling together what resources they have to try and beat the heat, as it were. We here at George S Patton School of Tankery also believe in the honour of tankery and do not want you turning up to your first match in rust buckets, so we are prepared to offer a little stimulus package to get the ball rolling. Don’t spend it on anything heretical like those wretched girls from Walter Christie.

>+$15000

>Secondly, and I’m sure Kate has already stated this too you, but the North America and Canada Division of George S Patton’s for the taking. We have won it 9 out of the last ten years. You could almost call it our birthright. Rest assured, if it comes down to us or you, I will suit up with Commander Bradley and give my all to annihilate you off the face of the earth on whatever battleground we meet on.

>Thanks and have a lovely day!

>Jennifer Creighton
>Sub-Commander/Acting Commander
>George S Patton School of Tankery

You gulp. Well that can’t be good. But you got a little money out of it, so there is that.

“Good Tanks, the Tetrarchs” Coape says “British dropped them from gliders during the War. They’re nimble little buggers, I’ll tell you. Wont penetrate much, and won’t take much of a punch, but put a decent radio in one and he’ll report everything to your opponent.”

“Hmmm, I’m kind of on the fence about upgrading the Turan and the Matilda but I’m not sure whether that will knock them out of commission for too long.”
“Well, starting tomorrow I’ll have my son, Arthur, helping out here, so we’ll be able to get more done here with the tanks. Give me a call tomorrow and I’ll see what we can do for you.”
>NOTE: Starting tomorrow, you may now upgrade 2 Tanks at a time in the store. This could improve or degrade based on Evelyn’s actions.
“Okay, thanks Mister Coape”
“My pleasure, Miss LeClerc you have a good one.” Coape says as he hangs up.
You shrug and flick open your web browser on your phone, trawling through a few sites before you sigh and head over to TankeryDraft.com.
You mosey on to the forums and take a look through the discussions. There’s a great thread about Kate Bradley that you have a look through, with a number of different opinions on display for your soon-to-be instructor. A few posts jump out at you:
“She’s good but she’s not the GOAT.”
“She got recruited out of her junior year. She’s THAT good. I mean, she’s like the Michael Whittman of High School Tankery.”
“Comparing a Nazi tank Ace to an 18 year old? Smooth.”
“Any truth to the rumour she’s an instructor at West Point? I didn’t think they got High schoolers to do that sort of stuff.”
“I mean, she’s good, but she’s not like the Aces from Sherbrooke.”
“One: You’re talking out your ass. And Two: Those girls might be better because they’re a crew. They have great chemistry. When they get drafted they’ll probably get split up to the various corners of the continent which will dimish their returns. Bradley as one woman is unparrelelled in this sport.”
“She’s also hot.”
“Speaking of Sherbrooke. Have any of you had a look at what their new commander might be like….”

Your eyes go wide. There’s a link there. A link with your name attached to it. You tap on it briefly, and up comes a bunch of columns meant to track statistics, strengths and weaknesses. There’s even a small header with where you’d be projected on where to go if the draft was held tomorrow. At current you’re ranked….
…..1001th. Oh.
>NOTE: You may access Evelyn’s Scouting Report, or the scouting report of any other Ace, any time you would normally browse the internet as long as you have their name or school. Most Scouting Reports will be able to provide a comprehensive breakdown of strengths, weaknesses and rank in the overall Tankery circuit. Evelyn’ Scouting Report is different and will be updated after each match. It can be reviewed to gain benefits and see what you need to improve on for the next match. Looking at your scouting profile extensively may have the chance to provide perks.
The columns are empty now, but you’re sure they’ll fill up over time. Maybe after a couple matches people will start seeing what kind of Tankery commander you really are, you think to yourself.
At that moment you receive a rap at the door.
“EVELYN!” Marie shouts as what sounds like her, Haley and Alexis all barge into your dorm, carrying a weaved basket and dressed in summer clothing and hats. “WE’RE GOING ON A PICNIC!”

Everyone stares blankly

.
At that point the junior mounties turn up, with the debate team in tow. Fay seems to be leading the junior mounties, watching over them almost like a mother hen and her chicks.
“We caught these girls disrupting the public by arguing too loud.” Fay says with a cheeky grin ‘Then they said they knew you, so we thought we’d all tag along together for the ride.”

The comic society arrives a few minutes after, with everyone all mingling and chatting already.

“Sorry we’re late” Jimena says hurriedly “I overslept. Had a sketch I had to finish the inking on before I went to bed last night.”

“Okay, well where are we going for this picnic?” You ask, looking at your crew.

You're right, you didn't say it. Using WoT as a basis for anything is beyond retarded.

But if you disregard the fact that the Crusader wasn't actually that fast, the engine block leaked when traveling cross country, the ammo rack caught fire, the shape of the turret caused it to act like a shot trap and also acting like a lever to tear the turret off, was sub optimal for engaging later Panzer IVs as their shot would shatter, and the Commander doubling as the loader in the Mk III then yes it was a good tank.

If you're using it as a Scout, then use an actual Scout tank.
>>
>Lake Amherst

“We could always head down to the Lake” You say, shrugging. “Weather’s perfect for all kinds of things down there, its peaceful, and if it gets any hotter we can always all head home to get swimming gear?”

Everyone nods emphatically at that. Whoah, must be a good idea then.

You all trek down to the lake and begin setting up. Haley puts a picnic blanket down on the grass overlooking the lake, while Alexis and Marie begin sorting out the rest of the things from the pinic basket. Mostly food and drinks and the like, but you also spot a deck of cards. The rest of the crews all go off and do their own thing:

The Comic Society begins sketching the landscape, saying that they’d love to get a picture done of the current crews as way to improve solidarity.

The Junior Mounties pull a kit out from one of their backpacks and run off to try to fly it across the lake.

The Newfy’s all go off and start playing the kirk, with giant dog barking happily the entire time. He runs after each throw of the ball or stick with a sort of reckless abandon and joy that is usually reserved for large dogs and small children.

Lastly, you see the debate team is all sitting around the picnic blanket discussing something, except this time not in their usual loudness, but this time with a few harsh whispers. You can’t hear it completely but a few words stand out to you:

“…John Monash….”

“….Tankery….”

You make sure that Haley, Marie and Alexis are all fine with the set-up for lunch and how far away lunch is before you head off. They all agree that you can have lunch whenever everyone wants, so there’s no great rush. Marie says she’ll probably call lunch at some stage anyway. You giggle. You can’t wait for that booming voice to be used for calling people to Lunch.

You head over to where Fay is watching the Junior Mounties fly their kite. She seems to be enjoying herself, and helps out on the kite whenever needed, but you get the feeling she either has some weird maternal instincts for her junior officers or something.

“Hey Evelyn” Fay says cheerfully “Thanks for inviting us all out here. It’s been so good to have a day off in the sunshine to do this sort of stuff.”

“Hey yeah, thanks Evelyn” One of the juniors says over where the kite is, giving you a casual salute. You recognize her as Louisa – Fay’s 2IC.

“HEY THE REST OF YOU CAN THANK EVELYN TOO!” Fay says suddenly, jumping to disciplinarian with a twitch. The Junior Mounties all snap and begin to thank you profusely.

“Thankyou Evelyn”

“Thankyou”

“Thanks”

You giggle and smile sheepishly. Dawwwww they’re kind of cute.

“Its really no problem guys, Team Spirit and all that” You say as the Juniors go back to flying the kite. You approach Fay.

“They’re doing well…” You say, looking at the juniors all helping to weigh the kite down in the stiff breeze. They’ve actually got the whole teamwork thing downpat, now that you look at it.

“Yeah,” Fay says “I chose them as they seemed like a very bright bunch of young girls. Eden disagreed, said they were a bunch of delinquents that would never make it as law-officers aboard the ship. I said I’d see what they can do anyway and here we are.”

“You and Eden don’t get along?” You say. You notice Fay’s jaw visibly tighten.

“Oh definently. We were wondering when we get to pick our Tanks” Fay says, turning to you.

“The girls and I were hoping we could hop in the D2, actually. It’s the only tank that will comfortably fit all 5 of us, and we’re thinking since its got a fair bit of armour that it’ll be good to learn in while we get to know the ropes.”

“What do you say, Evelyn?”

Honestly? They're dubious at best. The t-70's had a rather poorly setup drive system with one engine driving each tread independently of the other. The t-80 was marginally better, with a 2-man turret and a fixed drivetrain, but by the time it was produced it was already obselete. I've tried finding combat records of the t-80 without any success. I would venture that the SU-76 was probably the most useful thing to come of the t-70's chassis.

The BT's suffered from the same 1-man turret problem, and they weren't even universally equipped with radios. They were roughly on par with, or slightly better than the Japanese tanks and tankettes they encountered at Khalkhin Gol, but the Wehrmacht rolled right over them in Barbarossa.

“Yeah, that should be fine.” You say, before one of the juniors approaches Fay and begins whispering in her ear.

>RELATIONSHIP UNLOCKED (MOUNTIES) – FRIENDLY

>Relationships can be improved or deproved by doing certain things with/for crews. Having a good relationship with a crew is essential for a good team, and a friendly or very friendly crew is much more likely to follow orders and do the team thing than an unfriendly team. Friendly teams also have loyalty quests that can be unlocked with certain dialog options – loyalty quests unlock a perk as well as ensuring a team’s relationship never dips below friendly.

“Yep, the Turan’s all yours.” You say “Feel free to come see me if you want to uprade it or the like and I’ll see what I can do for you.”

“Wooo, we got a Tank!” Alberta jumps up and down excitedly. “We got a tank! We got a tank! We got a tank! We got a tank! We got a tank!”

At that moment, Jamie and Kirk both walk over to you. Kirk joins in jumping around excitedly with Alberta, barking excitedly along with her.

“Marie told us ta ta tell ya that Lunch is almost up and we should head back” Jamie says in that broad accent “Now if ya don’ mind me asking, are tha rest of us going to be able to pick Tanks after Lunch or what?”

You think about that for a second. It might be a good idea to let the crews pick their own Tanks, but you run the risk of waiting on whats below deck before you get a Tank, or even worse, a terrible tank. Alternatively, you could play the control freak and pick tanks for them all, but you have the feeling that may rub a crew or two up the wrong way.

“So Comander,” Haley says, as you all gather together for Lunch “How should we decide Tanks first?”

>Let Crews Decide

“Alright, each crew decides what they want to get.” You say “I want you all to know that there are still two tanks unaccounted for below decks, so don’t feel too bad if what you have penciled in right now isn’t what you wanted.”

Everyone nods in agreement.

“We’ve already got the Turan” Fay says, grinning. “5 woman team here we come!”

“We’ll take tha Matilda” Jamie says. You notice Alexis’ face fall a bit.

“We’ll take the Valentine” Georgia says “Though I reserve the right to get one of the new tanks when we find out what they are.”

“Noted.” You say

“There’s four of us, but we’ll take the Char” Jimena says “I’m sure we’ll find some way to all fit.”

Which leaves you with…..

….The Tetrarch. Great.

With that you all tuck into the picnic lunch arrayed in front of you with great gusto. You guess you should talk to your crews and get to know them a bit more. They all seem to be talking quietly amongst themselves, excepting the Debate Team who all seem to be whispering rather loudly the same thing about John Monash you heard earlier, except this time you hear a different few words afterwords than Tankery:

"So, everyone happy with what they got?" You ask loudly to all the crews gathered in front of you. There's a wide chorus of nods and mumbled affirmations.

"No complaints here at all" Fay says.

"Neither" Jaime says "The Matilda's a good tank as far as I know."

"Same with the Valentine" Georgia says.

"I kinda want a different tank than the D2" Jimena says "I think we'll have spacing problems."

"Well what Tanks do you expect we'll find underneath the decks?" You ask. "I'm hoping for something big that packs a punch."

"I'd be happy with something German" georgia says.

"Nope, Russians were far better" Her 2IC, Stephanie, chimes in

"THEY WERE NOT"

"WERE TOO"

You roll your eyes and then look at Jimena and her crew. "We'd like a Panther" she says "Panther Tank is best tank."

"I'm nay sure" Jamie says "A Tiger, I guess? I'll be honest I don't know too many tanks."

The Mounties are the last ones to respond "A Ram. Canadian made and operated" Fay says confidently "Hey, you never know, and I think that would be cool."

"Don't you think that's a little...." You say, grasping for a word "....unimaginative?"

"Yeah, but we're Law Enforcement, we don;t get paid to be imaginative."

WELP, CAN'T ARGUE WITH THAT LOGIC.

The rest of the crews disperse back to their activities as soon as lunch is done. You sit and ponder for a while: What should you do?

"Hey Alexis, why were you sad?" You ask, raising your eyebrow.

"Matilda's are my old schools lucky Tanks" Alexis replies "I wanted that one because it also reminds me of a great Australian Song"

You saunter over to the comic girls confidently and begin talking to them, watching them make small sketches and drawings of each of the clubs that compose your Tankery team. You grin. That's actually a really cool, and really sweet idea.

"We're doing it so we can remember what today was like." Jimena says, finally acknowledging you looking over her shoulder I'd imagine as soon as the season starts we'll be pretty busy."

"Oh you bet" You think back to last season and how hectic that was. Yeesh, it wasn't the greatest time. Between the Aces riding your back about the finer points of Tankery, or your classes and the piles of homework you had to put off to focus on tankery it wasn't the least stressful time in the world. Except maybe for people from the Gaza Strip.

"So Evelyn, I was thinking why don't we do a whole team one." Jimena says "It might take a while though."

You nod, and usher everyone together with the slowly falling sun behind you, and all try to stay as still as possible until Jimena gives you the thumbs up. You're not sure how long it is, but after a few moments it starts to feel like forever. Jimena finally gives you the thumbs up as the crews all scamper off, and she grins as she begins sketching in details of faces and clothes.

"Seems complicated." You say.

"It is." She responds. "But once I get this on the level it'll be a momento for the entire club to cherish. Hell, we could even do another one after we win."

>>
[2/2]

You watch Jimena sketch out every detail. From your long hair and cheekbones all the way down to Maries glasses and the ruffles in your shirt where the wind was when she gave you the thumbs up.

You then hear the shout of joy as everyone runs over and sees what Jimena did.

"OH MY GOD THAT'S AMZING"

"THAT'S COOL."

"OH MY GOD YOU'RE SO TALENTED."

>+5 Morale across all teams.

"Awwww aren't you just the sweetest" You say in a cutesy voice as you scratch behind his ears. His eyes close briefly as he begins panting.

"Yeah, Kirk is just a complete ladykiller"Jamie says, visibly exhausted "In more ways than one".

'Are you girls alright?" You say, looking at each of them

"Oh, just fine." Jamie says "It's just Kirk needs a lot of attention and we're already really tired and he's still wanting more attention."

"Well let me take him off your hands." You say. The newfies just nod and hand you the ball. You take it with a glint in your eye.

"C'mon Kirk, let's play." You say confidently

Kirk barks excitedly and tears off after the ball, running as fast as his legs will carry him over the hill. You walk after slowly, waiting for him to fetch the ball and bring it back to you.

As you crest the hill you find Kirk, surrounded by three girls, all armed with guitars. Kirk has the ball in his mouth and seems to be trying to find you in the crowd, or at least someone he can deposit the ball too.

One of the girls spots you and points at Kirk, her windswept black hair falling messily on either side of her face as she addresses.

"Oi, you. Is this your dog?"

"Well he's disturbing our concentration. We're trying to master five songs by nightfall" The guitar girl says.

"Wait, so you're all musicians." You say, everything finally coming together.

"Yeah" The one who has been talking to you says, pointing to herself and then her two comrades "Leona Cohen, Aubrey Graham and Brianna Adams."

"Evelyn LeClerc, pleased to meet you." You say, smiling

"Ooooooh he tickles" she says, giggling. Kirk just grins and begins panting.

"Hmmmm, you don't seem like terrible people." Leona says "We'll join, but don't expect us to be playing you into battle with Bagpipes from the back of a Tank."

Damn, that's a pretty good song.

You crest the hill back to find everyone packing up. After helping and introducing the musicians as your latest crew, it appears everyone is already starting to leave.

"It's getting dark" Marie says "We're far enough north that the daylight runs out quicker."

Oh, that figures. You think to yourself as everyone bids happy farewells and see you soons to each other. The musicians, far too busy for the rest of the night hand you their contact numbers and go off to practice, leaving you and your crew alone in the park with a rapidly setting sun.

"No" Alexis laughs "It's really not much different from your room really, Evie. Maybe a little bit messier."

"Oh okay." You laugh sheepishly, letting Alexis lead the way as you all file in and crash around her dorm, taking up couches, cushions and pillows as you all stretch out the kinks of the day.

"Okay, what do we want to do?" You ask

"Movies" Marie says

"Books" Haley says, already with a copy of "Tigers in the Mud" in hand.

You giggle quietly. Hehe that could actually be pretty funny.

"...and in sports, shocking news in the High School Tankery world as the Australian-based John Monash Military College gets admitted into the North America and Canada Division of the ITL."

You turn and look at Alexis, who seems to be getting paler and seems to be in the same dumbfounded sense of disbelief that you are.

"Wha-How?" She mumbles "But that....No....Why?"

You snap back to the news report after it has started and after much comforting of Alexis. Most of it hugging and letting her cry on your shoulder.

"...the Australian school has had a number of grievances with their previous role in the South East Asian leagues of the ITL, having to contend with schools from Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, New Guinea and New Zealand."

"The news was handed down this morning by the ITL in Japan. We have since learnt that John Monash have been sending emails out to all prospective Tankery commanders across North America and Canada, looking for practice matches."

"It brings back more pain than its worth"

"Well how about I put something light hearted on to help ease the mood" Alexis seems to light up at that, as she jump up and grab a DVD case marked "DANGER 5" and slip it into the DVD player.

“That's a lot of people” you say acknowledging the mass “looks like they're checking out our tank”

“I think most of the people that have seen a T32 are dead, and the rest aren't in this area” Hamish responds

You start walking towards the edge of the group “nobody say anything about the tank, I want to hear what they're saying”

You join the edge of the group and your crew spreads out to different sides, you turn and down at the blonde girl in a singlet and denims next to you
“Excuse me, but what's going on here”

“Oh, we're just looking at this new tank” she responds in a silvery voice

“Hey, you're right, this is a new tank” you say feigning ignorance “it's a Pershing right?”

“NOOoooo... well kind of, it uses a lot of the Pershing's parts” she corrects you

“What's your name?” she asks

You play it cool holding your hand out “Adam”

She takes it and gives a girly shake before the two of you turn back to the tank
“I haven't seen you before, are you new here?”

“Yeah, I wanted to try it out, it seems pretty cool”
>>
>>29228356

“Even though it's a girl's sport” she responds in jest

“If liking tanks makes me a girl, then yes I am a girl” you say with a chuckle

A kindly old man wearing a sweater vest and slacks climb onto the tank with surprising ease
“Who's the old guy?”

“That's Bert, he's like a Historian, he used to work at Aberdeen on prototypes during the war”

“Hello everybody” the old man calls out “I'm going to do an impromptu History lesson for you all, this tank is rather exciting for me”

“I worked with one of the Prototypes of this tank, there were four in total” he continues with a matter of fact tone “the first two were tested at Aberdeen”

“I'm getting ahead of myself, these tanks were built with the idea that as many Pershing components as possible were to be used”

“One of the key differences is the extra road wheel”

“Between the four tanks, the first two sent to Aberdeen had a bow machine gun” he says while pointing to the area on the left of the hull that would have held it
“But this one doesn't, so it would have been one of the two sent to Fort Knox or Detroit”

“The other difference, or improvement is that the Driver's hatch pivots open, so it's accessible even when the gun is overhead”

You see a hand pop up and start waving “What are these things?”

>[2/?]I always forget
>>
>>29228378

“That sounds like Hamish” you think to yourself

One of the track extenders is being held up

“That would be a track extender, they uh, they go on like this” he says taking it out of Hamish's hand

“There's two holes here that they bolt onto, each extender links the joints together” he indicates the edge of the tracks “they were were quite difficult to install”

“Do you think we could have a go, I'm sure it would be fast with so many people” you hear Hamish ask like a sly fox

“I don't see why not” Burt says “where did you find the extenders?”

“In here” you see the garbage bag shoved into Burt's hands

He looks inside it and a look of surprise washes over him “Well there's some shells in here”

He quickly regains composure before continuing “right, these are the shells used in the T15E2” he says pulling a casing out “they were made specifically for this tank and gun because the T15's standard casing was too long to maneuver easily, even then we'd still bump it”

You see him pull out another casing and place it on the ground carefully before rummaging in the bag for the shells themselves

A bolt of realisation hits you “Don't tell me Hamish only got two shells...shit he probably did, should have asked”

>[3/?]
>>
>>29228444

The sound of raining steel echoes in the Hanger as Burt empties the bag on the ground

“Everyone grab some and we'll get to work, don't worry about tightening them too much just finger tight and we'll get a wrench to finish it off”
You look at the girl you were talking to and signal “after you”, first because you're chivalrous, and second because you're a lazy pig. As she walks off towards the tank you check her out, an unsolicited grin breaks out on your face

Looking around you try to find Hamish, in doing so you spot John standing near the bow of the tank chatting with the old guy

You sidle up next to John and introduce yourself while extending your hand “Hi, I'm Adam”

“You can call me Bert” he says while shaking your hand

“This fellow here is John...” he pauses and furrows his brow as if thinking “you two are wearing the same overalls, and you have the same overalls as the boy that gave me the bag, you know each other?”

John responds first “yeah we're getting back into tanking after...a break”

“A break, that's interesting. Where did you two go before taking your break”

You can tell he knows something, but it's not like it will make a difference now “we competed up in Kentucky in one-on-one matches”

“Were these matches NATL sanctioned?”

“yep yep yep, he knows” you realise

“no” you reply

>[4/?]
>>
>>29228493

Bert eyes the two of you up and down before responding a few seconds later “don't make a mess this time, or Rick will tan your hides”

“okay” is all you say before walking off without a glance back

“Man, my hearts was beating like crazy, I thought he was going to bust us” John says after catching up “weren't you nervous when he started asking questions?”

“no, we would just go to another club if we were kicked out of this one, the sky isn't falling"

“There's Hamish” you see him crouching at the rear of the tank tightening the track extenders that had been installed

“Have you got anymore wrenches?” you ask hoping this doesn't turn out like the shells

“no”

“...”

“C'mon John, we'll leave this to him, I need to go find Rick”

The two of you head out through the hanger doors to the Saloon hoping to find Rick hanging around in there
“ADAM”

You halt on the board walk outside the Saloon, and look around for the source of the noise. As you're looking over the staging area in front of the Saloon you spot Rick waving at you with a clipboard from behind a group of teens
