14th day of prophecy; 01:30 pm. Inside the personal room of Tsukiyomi-no-Mikoto, capital of Zipangu.

As always, Tsukiyomi manage to smashes through your expectations. You’ve braced yourself for the worst several days before your meeting, your mood worsening by the hours as you stewed inside the cell as you contemplated the wrath of the Tenko; the woman who, despite remorse and guilt, gave her people poisoned potions that inevitably saw them devolve into near-immortal beasts of corruptions to lay waste to the enemy that forced her hand, the woman whose wrath was feared by her people, enough to construct a fearsome reputation despite her entirely willing abdication. A very angry Tsukiyomi is, in all likelihood, the stuff of nightmare and you thank a certain god that her patience and empathy seem very big indeed… and now you have this fearsome eight tailed monsters grasping your clothes, using your shoulder as support, soft tears escaping her eyes with the birth of intense, overwhelming emotions, momentarily forgetting herself completely.

Very few time were you graced with words like ‘’Welcome home’’. It struck hard and for now you allowed yourself to forget about the world and extend your arms to hug that suddenly vulnerable spymaster; the crown of tails at her back broke as each of the bushy, blond furry appendages struck out on their own as if animated by sudden sentience, many of them sneaking toward your body for a few short lived caress while the perky vulpine ears atop her head fell flat. A chocked chuckle escapes her lisps as she tried to force you away with a weak hand, only to give up halfway.

‘’You’ve made me weak…’’

From her tone, smile and glistening face, she sounds surprisingly happy.

You finally broke the silences after realizing how many minutes passed by as you worked to settle your aching, beating heart, your situations came crashing back on you like a tidal wave when you felt the slight vibration of the jade, the object literally made you jump, shattering the serenity of this all too precious scene.

Tsukiyomi ears twitches and tickles your chest, but prevented you form moving once her big tails wormed their way toward your profile to squeeze you tighter, if it weren’t for your leather armor you’d likely be overloading with sensations right now…

Her previously open palm ball in a fist and her body visibly tense up, her small yet solid shoulder rock slightly and she even allow a sigh to escape her mouth.

‘’The Demon Lord, yes? Amarantha gave me all the informations I needed, down to what happened to you yesterday’’

Her tone grew considerably colder and you kept silent, no matter how much you want to speak on Daiyu behalf, the Queen-Mother will speak her mind with the timing she impose.

‘’That Succubus promised her to look into her mother condition, nothing else would convince her to so earnestly believe the Demon Lord and think of her as a friend. That girl is hopelessly gullible… but her passion is amazing’’

You feel another soft twitch of her ears and glance down, swallowing awkwardly as you rub against those fluffy appendages some more, barely resisting the urge to cuddle this vulnerable celestial foxes with all of your might.

Another pause, another snuggle, she’s certainly making herself comfortable.

You can’t help but smile as she completely dodged the issue of convincing her; nevertheless your fluffy lover has a point; to fully endorse the asylum of Daiyu Jawahir means upsetting a whole lot of people. How can you even begin to justify that?

One of her daughters, Druella, is making a grab for the throne to become the next demon lord, and getting the power and resources that come with it. She's also been active, I've run into quite a few agents of hers, and as we've seen, she had charmed Amarantha into being a pawn of hers and I didn't find that out until the last second. How many others have been bound to her will like that? She can find and dispose of those, and we keep her alive and in our custody so Druelly can't ascend the throne. She also still has contacts to feed her, and by extension us, information on what's happening in the demon's turf. We just need to word it so it sounds like she is a prisoner as well as an asset of opportunity. We should be able to buy time, at least until this war and the immediate aftermath has passed.

‘’By making an official surrender’’

You finally answer the query of the Queen-Mother, provoking a twitch of those vulpine ears to tickle your chest as she finally break the hug in astonishment, looking at you as if you’ve grown a second head while grasping your shoulders with the littlest hint of blush on her shoulders.

‘’I think Daiyu will be able to keep her pride from spoiling this plan, beside, you know as well as I do about all the potentials gains riding on her presence – and willingness- to help out Zipangu, especially the situation with Amarantha; can you tell me with utmost certainty the your country is free of sleeper agents?’’
Emotions momentarily drain out of Tsukiyomi face, her ears perk up atop her head while she plant a potent, cold stare in your eyes, but soon enough she break it to let out a weary sigh, letting go of your shoulders while her tails continue to work in teasing you in fluffy miracle.

‘’While I can’t say if she’d be able to retain her allies with the demons if she were to openly surrender, Daiyu need to stay on the throne; her daughter would undoubtedly obliterate whatever progress were trying to achieve, and I don’t think we have much time to spare because Deruella locate her mother, so we’ll need to act fast. I’ll deal with anyone that has a problem with her in the meantime, they’ll have to swallow their pride if the Demon Lord herself is coming for an armistice’’

Tsukiyomi golden eyes closes and her lisps purse at the clench of her jaw while her fingers digs into your shoulders, she soon let go (thankfully) while shaking her head sadly.

The bushy tails leave your sides, almost motivating you to reach out and grab a few in childish stubbornness before the small feminine hand of the Tenko stop you from moving as she start caressing your cheek, running her cold hand on your warm flesh while smiling sweetly; frustration and overall negativity filtered out in seconds in favor of pure, simple love that pinch your heart.

‘’It might be best to try for a more subtle approach instead… or make sure we fix Amarantha position with her people. I don’t think Ame will ever be convinced, so we ought to maneuver somewhere else instead’’

What in the world could give the queen of this land such a grudge? You don’t voice your question, the wounds of the previous war left deep scars upon the land of Zipangu for certain, and even now Tsukiyomi eyes flash with the occasional forlorn sadness born out of bitter, bitter guilt.

Shit you actually ran today, thank god I was browsing the catalog. Anyhoo, Tsu's idea sounds like a good plan as it'll also keep Deruella bamboozled as to her dear mums location a little bit longer and we need to give FREE VACATIONS to everyone she's managed to corrupt or charm in our upper ranks. I hope she's told all our current allies to keep their damn mouths shut about the Demon Lord. No drinking for anyone who know until the cat's out of the bag.

She can also route out the guys in the church through her own infiltrated agents. Might have to MC a few inquisitors and purifiers to do this but hey, can't make an omlet without breaking a few eggs (or in this case, committing a grave sin against sentience). God I hope there's a good amount of demons who think like Belphegor.

Remember, the more MC'd they are the less useful they get. Reapers had the same problem, I doubt charm magic works a ton differently from Indoctrination. Hope I'm right about this as it'd limit Deruella too.

Strong charms inevitably erode a person personality like what you saw from Indoctrination so demons don't like to rely o nit, short term charm is perfectly viable and without long-term consequences tough, so turning warriors against one another is a pretty common tactic.

Another question then, about how long will it be possible to hide her presence? Because the instant we start popping off or deprogramming Deruella's pawns it won't take long for the gears in her head to start turning and identify the cause. Wait she was Geis'd!? Oh dear god up in heaven both our final marks are bonus boss level. Orion deals mad damage and can take even your best overdrives with HP to spare for days and kills characters in 2-3 solid hits.

Deruella is more about the most annoying status effects and conditions imaginable being inflicted on you and stacked on top of each other even if you have something like a "ribbon". She don't kill you, you kill yourselves or succumb to the effects she stacked on you before you manage to bring her down below.

Of course this is why I said not to openly agree with Daiyu when we first met her. Saying things like "yes", "I agree completely", "deal", or even just nodding your head will get you slapped with one right fast if they can swing that shit! And she does have a reason to try and cut a deal with us in the end...

Do not speak, poker face 24/7, write everything down in the most neutral sounding language as possible, do not even think of the letter Y, Suppress all emotion, ect... if she ever sends even an agent to discuss anything with us.

So this peculiar scenario is completely new, Tsukiyomi mumble her words as she stumble in the dark, all claims and presumptions of confidence gone as she can’t rely upon the knowledge of the loops anymore, her tails swishes nervously to demonstrate her inner struggle and you can’t help yourself; you reach out toward her moving ears to cuddle them lovingly.

She bellow and the doors open in earnest, a pair of knights – sisters grizzly monsters by the look of it, burst in in a concert of clicking weapons and rackling chainmail’s.

Hope everyone remembers that we get one, two tops, ranged attacks before we risk dying again when using him. That attack hits like a truck though given it's in mech scale as opposed to human scale. Make it count if it comes to that.

This might also be the time we finally get to see how Tsu operates in combat. Only got a taste with the whole Mylen fiasco, didn't see her when she's down for the long haul.

That’s… an argument you can’t disagree with, however her version of ‘’help’’ could mean many things indeed, but judging by Tsukiyomi expression it’s highly likely that this battle is going to be desperate and exhausting, right now the Tenko is glancing at you in silence, her cold golden gaze working over your sitting body as she adjust the armor, her newly-born noble look suit her very well indeed, the legacy of the heroes still burns despite her claims.

‘’Tsu, Daiyu wish to offer some kind of help with this battle’’

That caught completely off guard, her eyes open like bowls and she bite down on her lower lisps hard while grasping her chain covered arms, then a second later, her veins light up in bright gold; immerging the entire room in potent magic as the very presence of the Queen-Mother increase tenfold, ear perk up and her tails snap back behind her like a hard, fur fuzzing up while bubbles of pure, raw magic escapes into the ether, some even flying to you and nourishing your eternal hunger.

‘’I’ll allow it’’

She speak as if swallowing a slug, her hand move to grasp something in the air, a small object suddenly shift into the world, a bright golden pen with a particularly sharp looking tips rest in her palm as she take the position to write, taking the very air as canvas as sprinkles of golden dusts emerge from the opposite end of this artefact, this plume of creation.

The Beast spoke in its true, lonesome voice and you can’t help but sense a strong feeling of dread; which almost burst into panic when a longue rope of pure dark suddenly expand from your thorax right into the middle of the room, yet no kind of pull or magical drain assails your reserve, the ‘’link’’ soon expand into a pure, jet black portal with a glowing sapphire right in the middle as the swirly-shaped interior move fast enough to hurt your eyes.

Of course, the magic can be felt into the entire fortress and many knights rush to the room without entering, simply waiting to hear struggle; it’d seem Tsukiyomi was very thorough in her orders.

Coming out of the portal is a certain goat-demon holding a large, vibrating scythe on her shoulders, clad in head to toes in form fitting half-plate armor, various knapsacks and pocket have been placed in detriment of the metal to place small objects, the horn atop her head mesh very well with the dark demonic mask representing some kind of spider, finally, under her free arm, Belphegor is holding five elaborated scrolls made in colored papyrus.

Once completely out of the portal, the magical tears slowly disappear and the dark rope sling back to your chest without impact, merely shifting through your clothes and limbs.

Are the first words emerging form the she-goat, Tsu simply glare, wrist flicking to trace a few lines of golden magic.

It’d seem that she already saw what the small girl was talking about, Tsukiyomi eyes zoom in on the stack of scrolls and she immediately walk in the girl direction, prompting you to accompany her as you feel like doing many a mental facepalm at the demon lack of tact.

‘’She did it all on her own from memory, spent a whole day on it to calm her nerves when I said she could help ya out an all.’’

Next you own jaw open in disbelief as you recognize the piece of paper; a perfect replica of the scroll you used to summon Batrion.

‘’She also did some ritualized preparation to summons…’’

And then Tsukiyomi completely forget herself and flitch the stack from Belphegor.

‘’Well yeah she really took in the whole ‘’Helping you out’’ thing, Daiyu corrected her mistakes and all you need is to infuse it. I’m also here to get my hands dirty’’

Her furry paw extends outward and you take the opportunity to take it, squeezing down on a wonderful set of paw pads and warm fur and stimulating claws.

‘’…before you ask’’

She suddenly turns toward you, her concealed face making it impossible to guess her expression.

‘’I never fought in that war, only some exclusive R&D for the Demon Lord personal use. Anyway, let’s fight and kill well today and tonight, aye?’’

Again, it's both the joy and horror of our little activity here. Two sides, neither coordinating in a direct sense as that would imply we were all on a committee with everyone knowing all relevant facts as if we were an anime studio. We ain't. It's fun and all, but it's still a fundamentally different style of storytelling than the average public is used to. Hell, I just came across an interesting game because someone mentioned it. We're essentially playing "Stanley Parable" here. Only this time, we remember what we did and didn't do before, thus might get that one ending we've never seen before.
