Jake Crocker’s Character Sheet: http://pastebin.com/gNj0pcCS

Rules: http://pastebin.com/XfJFjs52

Your name is Jake Crocker and things have been hell. You’re currently aboard the Treasure Star, drinking heavily with Daiki and Captain Sirius. It’s been 6 months since the Battle of Big Ring and Zarth and you still don’t feel any better about things.

At Big Ring, Grodek, Arisa, Yurika, Akito, most of the Magnificent 7, and possibly Hunter (even though his body was never found and his death never confirmed) died in defense of the Big Ring and by extension Earth itself. Obright, Aseum, Rena, Flit, Desil and a horrifically injured Carlos and Woolf managed to survive to see the Federation drive off the crippled Vagan Fleet. Your son also survived but accidentally drove himself into some kind of Coma like state in the process of killing Zeheart in retaliation for murdering Akito. Rena has been looking after him, but any attempt to communicate with him via X-waves has only left Rena confused and worried to the state of his mind.

Things weren’t any better at the battle of Zarth. Only half of the recruits survived to see the end of the battle and Hogan and most of his men were killed by Vagan Suicide drones. Arnold Blackmarsh and a handful of men survived the battle and managed to protect their ship from being sunk. All the while a single Fa Bose ship made it through the debris field to Minsry and managed to hit it with a beam cannon barrage and a single colony destroyer missile before Fram showed up in some recovered Vagan suit and ripped the ship apart.

(Continued)
>>
>>29324490
CDACE patched up the damage to the colony pretty quickly and thanks to the colon being pretty sparsely populated, the causalities were low. However Yurin was killed in a fire. The details are sketchy but apparently a fire started in her father’s old manor and while trying to save the Vagan orphans she had staying there, she was caught inside and died. On top of Yurin’s death Scarlet was killed as well, her corpse lost to the void, leaving your wife in tears and Fram traumatized.

You had a funeral for Scarlet in private both due to Scarlet’s hatred for flashy funerals and due to the fact Flit had to bury three of his loved ones. You and everyone you could muster was there for him in his time for need, but it’s hard to cheer up a man who lost everyone he loved and wished to protect. You hadn’t seen Flit cry in a long time, he’s usually very cold and hardened when he’s sad, but this was too much for him.

It’s been a while since then and he hasn’t talked to you much. Apparently the brass saw his contributions enough to promote him to full Admiral and make him the new head of LEVIATHAN. Mellis has been staying with Rena to look after and monitor Dirk, and your other friends are scattered, trying to cheer themselves up and drown their sorrows as best they can. Apparently the Obright boy is getting married to one of the Diva’s engineers. You think her name is Remi. Or was it Ruth? Regardless that’s the kind of stuff you want to think about right now, the happy moments, the good times. You can’t bring back the dead, so the best you can do is honor their memories and move on.

You, Daiki, and Captain Sirius are in the lounge of the Treasure Star. You've all had a little too much to drink but you're feeling happy and energetic. You want to do something fun to try and piss away the time and all the bad memories you have.

The Lounge is very nice with pool tables, some arcade games you've never seen before, a few dart boards, a poker table, a buttload of boardgames, and a milk crate filled with tabletop roleplaying games and dice.

What do you want to do Jake?
>>
>>29324555
> everyone died
Jesus Christ. So, we're going to use the time machine to save everyone's ass?

Let's call Mellis, see how things are over with Dirk.
>>
>>29324555
Yurika and Arisa died too? Damn. Woolf's the only one of our group with surviving children, now. Well, we've still got both of our kids, but both are in comas and one we don't even know is alive. Shit, this sucks.

Okay, where is the Treasure Star, right now? Docked at Zarth or off drifting in space along the space convoy routes?
>>
>>29324707
Well, Flit has surviving kids too, in a way, considering Asemu and Yunoa are still alive.
>>
>>29324707
The Treasure Star is just drifting along the space convoy routes. You're about a day away from anywhere civilized. You had Sirius steer the ship out here just to get away from everything for a while. Kind of like a vacation home in the mountains, only in space, and the home is a ship that can travel through time.
>>
>>29324844
We don't know about Yunoa's status, and Asemu doesn't count.

>>29324868
Okay. In that case, let's go make some pancakes. Because we're drunk, and pancakes soak up the alcohol well, and it's been too long since we've gotten to do our running gag. Jake's in no mood to hear Daiki's objections. He needs this. After we sober up a bit we'll consider other things, like calling Mellis.
>>
>>29324868
Yeah, we're drunk and on a time machine. What can go wrong?
So, time travel to save everyone and alter the present?
>>
>>29324953
Well we do have a time machine and for once my "don't fuck with the past" warning isn't going off in my brain...
>>29324944
Fuck it make pancakes, liquor pancakes.
>>
>>29324953
We did decommission the Grand Wings, right? Because drunk time travel is a bad idea. Just the worst idea possible. Even if it's really tempting right now. We could solve so much with one little trip, it'll barely erase anyone from the timeline. It's been six months, how many people could have been conceived in that time frame? You know what, this is starting to sound like an okay idea. Yeah! Let's go time traveling. Daiki, fire up the engines! We have a continuity to save.

Grand Wings, spin on! Who the hell do you think I am?
>>
>>29324944
>>29325011
Drunk off your ass, you decide to make Pancakes and begin staggering out of the lounge.

"Jake, where are you goin?" Daiki calls out.

"I'm going to make pancakes!" You shout drunkenly, belching as you stagger forward, hearing Daiki and Siriu's groan as you make it into the hall.

With the alcohol clouding your mind you try to find the kitchen...

You stagger around and get completely fucking lost. However you finally find a place that looks vaguely like a kitchen. You begin pulling stuff out of racks on the wall and find something that looks like it might be the oven.

You try to start the burner but to no avail. Drunk, you rip out the paneling and begin messing around with the oven's insides, trying to get some fire out of the damn thing.

After some heavy rewiring you manage to get some fire out of the thing! You can't find a pan or having ingredients so you quickly leave to find some. Stumbling around you find a pantry and some kitchen wear. Dragging it all back to the oven room you plop down a frying pan on the fire, mix up the batter, pour it, and begin to cook some pancakes.

Despite being horrifically intoxicated and working with a pretty shitty oven, you manage to make some of the best god damn pancakes you've ever made in your entire life.

Putting them on a plate, buttering them, and coating them in warm maple syrup you leave the oven room and go to treat your friends to some food. You realize you left the oven on, but after sticking your head into the oven room you can see the automatic fire systems have already gotten it for you.

Sadly you can't seem to find the lounge. You make it to the bridge and you find that no one is around. Deciding not to let your perfect pancakes go to waste you sit down and begin to eat them. Since you don't like wasting time just eating you get on one of the computers and try to get on the net. Despite your desire to read the threads on 3sama the computer your working with doesn't seem to really want to cooperate. You mash in coordinates and codes at random, hoping to try and get onto the net. You think you've had too much to drink since your shaking like a leaf! Or are your pancakes shaking? Or maybe it's the ship?

As you continue to plug in numbers are random and eventually just begin mashing the keyboard in frustration the shaking gets more and more violent. Eventually you think you're having a seizure and as adrenaline rushes through your system you realize something horrible in your drunken mind.

"Oh shit this isn't the arcihve page!"

Daiki and Sirius rush onto the bridge just as the shaking stops and the scenery outside goes from the black of space to the dark of night.

"Jake what did you do?!?" Daiki yells, holding onto the door to steady himself.

"I jusit anwted ot get onto 3sama!" You say defensively, getting to your feet and nearly falling on your face.

"Where the hell are we?" Sirius asks.

"Unknown date. Unknown time." Ma G chimes in suddenly. "Three large structures in orbit around and connected to the Earth. I believe it's some kind of power/elevator system."

"Well at least we know we aren't in the past." Daiki states.

"Mobile suits detected." Ma G states.

""wtha type?" You demand.

"Unknown type. However four appear to be more advanced then the others. They are attacking a small military defense installation of some kind. Casualties are rising by the minute. If this keeps up they will be totally annihilated." Ma G states.

You have no idea where you are or what's going on, but something about what's going on pisses you off! You've lost enough friends and family today. You're trying to have a vacation! It doesn't matter where or when, you just want to be fucking happy for once! If that means you have to fuck some people up then so be it.

(continued)
>>
>>29326020
Oh god we're in 00! Fuck yes, we are grabbing a GN Drive. Because for whatever problems people have with 00, they have some nice mobile suit tech.

Also, do we have the Treasure Star's AGE Builder with us? Because if so, we're giving the Union fusion reactor and beam weapon tech. They won't need the GN-X if they've got their own source of energy weapons.
>>
>>29326088
So, we're stealing tech from all the Gundam-verses?

Don't know about you, but I want to introduce MID to Turn X.
>>
>>29326020
"Ma G prepare my suit!" You yell, adrenaline surging through you body and giving you some clarity as you stand and begin to head out the door.

"Wait! Jake! We don't know where we are? We have to leave we have too..."

"Let those people die?" You shout turning around and glaring at him.

"We're not back in time Daiki what we do here won't mess with the timeline. I don't give a shit what happens, I'm not letting anyone else die! If I have the power to do something I'm going to do it. Fuck other people, fuck the Federation, fuck Leviathan, fuck the laws, FUCK THE RULES! I'm going to go out there and save lives. Now you can nag my ear off or you can help me Daiki ether way I'm not going to be stopped."

Daiki glares back at you but eventually he sighs. "Fine. I'll load up your sit. My AGE-1 still needs work so you'll have to go out alone. Lhuga and Koketsu will go out when they can in the mean time don't do anything stupid."

"I never do anything stupid, only what I think is right." You state and head for the hanger.

The Crusader Gundam is waiting for you. It hasn't really been modified or change all that much over the years, but you've made some modifications to some of it's equipment.

The first thing is the Arthurian Shield II. It's a large version of the Arthurian shield with a beam shield emitter in the front. Suffers from over heating issues, but you can shut if off and rely on the physical shield when that happens.

The next is the EM Super Crossbow. You had a more technical name for it but you can't remember it at the moment. It's a heavily upgraded version of the EM Crossbow. It holds 10 bolts and allows you to select what type of bolt you want to use from the clip. It's slow to fire and reload, but it's range, power, and penetration are ten times what it used to be thanks to the advanced in railgun and plasma technology.

Climbing into the cockpit you get ready to launch.

Anything you want to do or take with you Jake?
>>
>>29326265
Wait, how is the EM Super Crossbow enhanced by advances in plasma tech? Are the bolts tipped with beam sabers or something? Because if that's the case...that's fucking awesome, Crosswire. Please tell me that's what we're using.

Anyway, what do we have for melee? Do we have an Excalibuster? Or maybe a Caladbol-gun, provided Dirk saved his designs to the Diva's computer so the design wasn't lost with the Merlin? We need a good sword.
>>
>>29326265
What's aboard? We need grenades and ammo. I guess the Chimera Wear still has the chest-mounted DODS shotgun, integrated beam sabers / vulcans in the arms and the tail that can be equipped with another weapon?
>>
>>29326230
That would be awesome, wouldn't it? Probably not going to be allowed, though, because it would be ridiculously overpowered. ZERO System from Wing, GN Drive from 00, Psychoframe from UC, positron cannons from SEED... We'd have the best Gundam. Nothing could stop that thing. So of course it can't happen. Would be nice, though. Though really, I'd be fine with getting no usable tech out of this so long as we get to do one thing: I want to Brightslap Kira. Promise me you'll let us do this if we wind up in the Cosmic Era, Crosswire. It needs to happen.
>>
>>29326343
> Are the bolts tipped with beam sabers or something?
Knowing Jake, they also spin. Or are mini-PDMs, because Flit probably went genocidal in our timeline.

>>29326465
Oh hell yes.
>>
>>29326465
(We'll see, things are going to get crazy)

>>29326343
Technically they aren't beam tips. As cool as beam tipped arrows would but they would be ridiculously expensive to make. Instead most of the regular armor piercing bolts use plasma tips which while weaker then beams give them a much greater penetration then if they were just razor tipped.

At the moment you have the:
>Arthurian Shield Mk.II
>EM Super Crossbow
>And the Excalibuster

You don't have much on board besides ammo, a couple DODS Rifles, and tons of grenades. You didn't bring any of your wears along because you didn't know all this was going to happen.

However you do have an experimental upgraded version of the Excalibuster. It goes back to the classic metal blade design, only this time the blade is treated with the same process the Shiguru Blade is treated with it increase it's cutting power. On top of that you kind of made the the sword into a buster sword of sorts and replaced all the beam emitters with thrusters to improve swinging and cutting power.

It's still experimental, but you need to use it eventually.

Outside of that the only thing you can think of is the fact you enhanced the servomotors of the Crusader to improve it's melee power, allowing it to do more damage with it's bare hands if necessary.

I doubt we'd be able to get a Full GN Drive, but we might be able to get some data for the AGE Builder that would be useful.
Hell, just seeing the GN MS in action might spark something new.
>>
>>29326574
Explosive, Goo and Flash Grenades.
Plasma AP, Goo and Flash Bolts.
At the moment, Jake seems kind of in a "Nobody dies. Period." mode, so some Non-Lethal Shit would probably suit him more. As well, the Goo and Flash give us a decent escape vector.
Anti-Beam is worthless, because the Solar MS use Plasma and GN Beams are a different energy/frequency then DODS Beams.
>>
>>29326574
I wonder if anyone will mistake the Crusader for the 0 Gundam.
>>
>>29326659
Nobody innocent dies. Jake at the moment is pissed off. If he needs to kill to save people from being killed he doesn't have an issue provided they aren't kids or anything. Considering the four mobile suits look like they plan on leveling the base and everyone in it, Jake doesn't give a shit if they die.
>>
>>29326699
Maybe this is a Super Soldier experimentation lab and the four mobile suits are saving the kids trapped inside. Huh? What about then?

Honestly, I see him trying to disable and find out what's going on more then shooting everyone forever. Besides, the four people are using Gundams, and Gundam is the Legendary Mobile Suit of Justice.

How does that sound?
>>
>>29326574
I don't see a meaningful difference between plasma-tipped arrows and beam-tipped arrows. Beam sabers are just constrained plasma fields. Though I get what you're saying, I think. They're not full beam sabers, they're just a small plasma field to enhance penetration. Smaller, weaker, cheaper to make. Still incredibly cool. I like this idea, Crosswire.

Okay, let's do this. We'll take the new Excalibuster. Jake wants to cut some shit apart. Bring as many EM Super Crossbow magazines as we can carry, with the ammo split within each one as 4 AP Plasma, 2 Goo, 2 Flash, 2 Seeker. I like that we have an ammo selector, now. Grenades are split between Anti-Beam Chaff (it does work against GN beam weaponry, just not as well) and Goo.
>>
>>29326574
Okay, I want that experimental Excalibuster. Because that thing sounds awesome.
Get those goo and flash grenades, and a couple of the regular ones in case shit gets real. Same thing for the bolts.

Hit the comms, warn the attackers that they're to stop or we'll go on offense.
Maybe have the TS fire a couple of anti-beam chaff rockets?
>>
>>29326800
>Anti-Beam Chaff (it does work against GN beam weaponry, just not as well)
The only thing I remember with AB Chaff in 00 was the GNXIII, and that had a grenade that released an Anti-GN Particle Cloud, I believe.
>>
>>29326900
AB Chaff is just an ablative cloud. It's meant to diffuse the particle beam. It should work against any energy weapon, regardless of type. GN beam weaponry has been demonstrated to be diffused by the same things our beam weaponry are diffused by, so the only issue should be the power of the beams. So it won't block them completely like the anti-GN gas does, but it should work.

"Daiki! Launch some Anti-Beam Chaff rockets towards the base to shield it from fruther attack then get the AGE Builder started on some Anti-beam Cowls." You state, walking the Crusader Gundam onto a Wayboard.

"I pray you know what you're doing." Daiki says as he launches the missiles.

"Jake Crocker, Crusader Gundam, LAUNCHING!" You fire the Wayboards thrusters and the Crusader's thrusters as the catapult launches you down the ramp and out into the open air, speeding towards the base.

You can see the rather simple, almost primitive looking base under the pink cloud of anti-beam chaff. You can see airborn mobile suits of sorts over the base, firing on the four suits to no avail. They look rather crude, like if an aircraft and a mobile suit had a child. Still, some look more refined then others and their designs are oddly appealing. Are those propellers on their arms or shields?

"Base at 89% stability" Ma G states firmly, as if to shake you out of your mobile suit fascination.

You turn on the comm system and broadcast on all channels. "ALL ATTACKING MOBILE SUITS STAND DOWN! I'm Jake Crocker and this is a drunken, pancake intervention! If you don't explain yourself or leave then I'm going to fuck you up! So what's it going to be?"

You sit in silence for a moment as the four mobile suits seem to stop attacking. However you see an orange fighter like suit fly over the base. The ground and facilities beneath it explode in a fiery rain of death as bombs fall from some delivery system on it's rear which is quickly discards.

"Base at 49% stability." Ma G states.

The orange suit begins to barrel towards you at attack speed and while left in silence, you have a feeling their answer was "Fuck you."

What's are you going to do Jake?

Success!

Your bolts fly try and hit their target. The orange attacker makes little effort to dodge the measly looking projectiles but once they explode and slather his suit in orange colored goo you have a feeling he's more then a little surprised.

Wavering back and forth, the suit tries to shake off the goo to little avail before speeding forward, charging at you with ramming speed. You don't spot any weapons that aren't covered in goo, until the nose of the craft opens up into some kind of mouth/claw that looks very, VERY dangerous.

You have little time to react as the orange suit charges at you...

Swerving the Wayboard to the side you swing out the Crusader's leg and kick it into the side of the flying suit, knocking it off target and sending it flying off behind you.

Turning around you can see the suit flying around wildly, the goo covering it's body stretches and spreads until eventually giving way. The suit transforms and spins around to face you carrying some kind of beam weapon.

Much to your surprise it's some kind of Gundam-Type suit, if you could even call it that. The suit is strange. It's a transformable type, obviously very high performance and spec...but it shows signs of mass production in it's design.

The suit, still covered in goo. immediately raises it's gun and fires at you, spending a barrage of oddly colored beam bolts at you, aiming for both your wayboard and your cockpit.

What do you wish to do Jake? The base is still under attack from the other three suits and that anti-beam chaff is going to dissipate in a few more minutes.
>>
>>29328242
Signs of mass production? Oh boy, that doesn't sound good. Please just be Jake misinterpreting Celestial Being's design philosophy. Maybe because the Kyrios is based in part on the Hellion?

>Critical Success!

Activating your beam shield you manage to stop most of the beam shots from connecting with your Wayboard. As you block the orange suits shots you raise your EM Super Crossbow, take aim, and fire.

The AP Plasma Bolt screams through the air as the Crossbow fires it at an insane speed. The bolt it's the orange suit in less then a second, striking it in the cockpit and going all the way out the other end, blowing a large hole in it's cone shaped back engine.

Sparking and sputtering the suit drops to the Earth like a stone, exploding a couple hundred feet above the ground in a colorful explosion, sending shrapnel raining down on the barren Earth below.

The explosion lights up the dark sky and seems to grab the attention of all the suits on the battle field. One of the attacking suits on the ground fires up at you while the two other suits press on the base the beam chaff fading fast.

You haven't heard a reply from the attackers, but you think the base is trying to send you a message. Something is interfering with their comms, but you believe it's some kind of an SOS.

What do you wish to do Jake? There are three more attacking suits and the beam chaff around the base is almost totally dissipated.

Well. We just killed Hallelujah. Or Allelujah. I can never remember which one is which. And yes, I know they share a brain, so we technically killed both of them, shut up. Only one of them was piloting. Too bad we destroyed the GN Drive. Hopefully there will be at least some useful salvage.

Right, let's descend to ground level and engage the suits hitting the base. Get into melee with them, make it hard for their fire support to get off a shot without hitting his friends. Lockon's good, but we can at least make it harder for him. And Tieria can't do close-in combat support for shit. So let's go fight Exia sword to sword. Can a GN Field coating outdo a monocrystalline razor coating? Let's find out.

And of course, have Ma G continue hacking attempts. Get Daiki on the line to the base, the Treasure Star can cut through that jamming. It can communicate through waves of warped time to a Elder God, GN Particle interference shouldn't be that hard by comparison

Also thanks, that makes me feel better. I appreciate it.

>>
>>29329081
We don't know that. The "signs of mass production" comment could just be a reference to the Kyrios's transformation technology being based on the Hellion. This could still be the only Celestial Being squadron, and it's just a different set of characters playing the roles because this isn't exactly like canon. Like, I can see Marie/Soma being the orange pilot for this CB, and Allelujah being the HRL Super Soldier. Maybe the whole thing is like that. Marie instead of Allelujah, Anew instead of Tieria, Lyle instead of Neal from the beginning, and...I don't know who would replace Setsuna. Graham, I guess?

Alternatively, if it is a case of MP CB suits, that means GN Drives are just lying around. Crosswire didn't say whether the emissions from the suits were green or orange, so it's not clear what type these are using, but it still means we can probably scavenge one easily. So that's pretty cool, right? Let's grab as much tech as we can.

"Daiki, fire another volley of Anti-Beam Chaff towards the base and try to contact them, something is jamming their communications." You say as you dodge the attacks coming from below, dropping altitude to confront the attacker on the ground.

"Ma-G what's the status of your hacking and any ideas on what's jamming the comms?" You state as you drop closer and closer to ground level.

"Slow. The A.I presence is heavily fortified and my attempts at breaking it's defenses are going very slowly. As for the interference I'm detecting an unusual particle in the surrounding area. I believe it's being dispersed by the attacking suits. Our comms shouldn't be effected too much but more primitive communication systems will be heavily effected." Ma G explains.

Daiki launches another volley at the base, shrouding it in a protective pink Mist. The bases mobile suits seem to have grown smart and are sticking to the cloud. The two other attacking suits seem to be trying to blast through the chaff and attack the base directly while the ground unit seems to now be focusing on you. There are a bunch of clunky, Mono-eyed mobile suits attacking the ground attacker but their weapons don't appear to phase it.

Aim for the external power cabling and exposed joints. And hit it with the chest DODS shotgun at close range, that will distract it nicely even if it doesn't penetrate. Because seriously, CB Gundams have overkill armor. One of the advantages of GN particle fields is that they don't produce heat unless you intentionally make them. After being dazed by the flashbangs, the pilot of the red suit can't even turn to face you as you come up from behind and stab your sword through the back of the suit, pushing the tip into the cone shaped engine and out the chest of the suit before ripping it out through the side and goring the mobile suit.

Turning around you walk back to your Wayboard, the suit explodes behind you as you do so making you look completely awesome to the observing mono-eye suits, though sadly you're way to drunk to notice it.

With two of the attackers destroyer, the remaining enemies seem to have finally realized how great a threat you are to them. One stays in the distance and possesses large shields that look remarkably similar to the shields of your solid cowel.

The other one sits at medium range, fat, with incredibly thick armor and a very large, very dangerous looking gun.

Firing the Crusader's thrusters you manage to slow your descent and land on the Gundam's feet without blowing out any servomotors or hydraulics. You quickly switch to AP Plasma bolts and raise your weapon defensively.

Now that you're missing an arm you can't reload and you'll have to rely on your experimental Excalibuster. You have 2 AP Plasma bolts, 2 Flash bolts, and 1 Seeker bolt left.

"Daiki where's my reinforcements?" You ask, getting nervous as the two suits take aim at you again, the 'fat' Gundam looking down at you from the hill it stands on.

"They're coming. Lhuga and Koketsu are drunker then you are, so just hold on a bit longer!" Daiki explains.

>>

>Who let those kids drink?
Well...you kind of did, though to be fair it was just a little.

>>29331298
>>29331330
Readying the flash bolts you put them on a proximity timer and fire them at the feet of both suits before making a run for the cloud. The flash bangs explode and allow you to get into the beam-dispersing safety of the cloud without getting shot in the back, also made possible by the base mobile suits giving you cover fire. As soon as you're in the cloud you turn and prep the Plasma AP Bolts, waiting for the enemies move.

They don't move however, they merely turn to face your general direction and wait. The beam chaff will disperse in a few minutes and that will leave you very vulnerable. You only have two AP bolts left and two enemies to attack. The 'fat' Gundam seems like it will be able to shrug off a bolt that isn't targeted somewhere sensitive. The Gundam in the distance has protective shields that could possibly block the bolt as well.

You could try getting one of the base mobile suits to try and reload your gun, but you don't know how precise their suits are, they might end up accidentally damaging your only ranged weapon.

Backup is still getting prepped and on the way . You're really starting to regret letting minors get drunk.

The Grenades will throw up a chaff screen to protect you, but even if you use all five it won't throw up a screen large enough to cover the proximity of the current chaff cloud. Will leave the base and all the other suits outside of the smoke open to attack by the enemy suits.

You could do it to buy yourself some time, but everyone else would become a target.

As for Reloading, you can't do it with one arm.

The Treasure Star could open fire on the attackers, but that could risk drawing aggro on it and you're not sure if you want your only way back home to get destroyed.
>>
>>29331955
How about this: Three cylindrical ammo containers arranged around the firing chamber. It would look like the Wing's buster rifle, sort of. Each magazine would have a different type of bolt. They'd be arranged inside like drum mags mixed with Dardick tround revolver cylinders. The bolts would slide out into the actual rail assembly pretty easily. We'd get a couple times the storage without sacrificing the ammo select function.
>>
>>29332153
We're already drawing aggro. Leaving the base unprotected isn't that big an issue. But we only have the two rounds of our own offensive capabilities. three if you count the remaining seeker. We need to get into melee. Okay, can we fire the grenades at them? That way we can cut their beam fire off at the source, and distract them for a bit. We hit them with the chaff, they have to back out of there to keep firing, while they're doing that we charge them with the buster sword and do some cutting. Maybe even use the buster sword's thrusters to boost us in a leap at them.
>>
>>29332153
You know, we really need some chaff that lasts longer.
Can we use those anti-beam grenades to create some cover for us while we make a sprint from cover to cover? We need to engage them in melee in order to do some decent damage. The other guys can provide us with some covering or suppressive fire.

>>29332166
Sounds alright, though that thing will be pretty bulky to carry around. Maybe have a servo-arm for reloading?
>>
>>29332303
You don't have a grenade launcher, your grenades are hand thrown. None the less the Crusader can throw very far and very fast. You could easily throw grenades at the attackers and run into melee.

>>29332350
You could possibly due that, though you'd be vulnerable running between cover and they'd be ready the moment you tried to rush them.
>>
>>29332350
I'm telling you, what we need is a bigger Gundam. So many of our plans have been hampered by the equipment just being too big. The Gen 3 suit should be Psycho Gundam size, it would be a lot easier to fit on all our toys. And since we're in position to capture a GN Drive, the weight problem would be eliminated if we could get our hands on GN verniers. Those use topological defects for thrust, it wouldn't matter how heavy we got as long as we had enough power to fuel them. Manipulating gravity solves so many problems.
>>
>>29332412
Do the grenades have variable fuses, too? What if we intentionally miss with the goo grenades so they surround the enemy suits. Then we throw the chaff grenades at them. They hoverskate out of the chaff cloud and run into the goo grenades, which we remotely trigger to stick them to the ground. Then we sword them.
>>
>>29332523
That could work since most of your explosives have variable fuses. The placement would be tricky, but it's very possible.
>>
>>29332523
That could work.
>>
>>29332607
If you guys want to do this, just say so. Once I get confirmation I'll begin writing up a post.
>>
>>29332470
Well, nanomachines will be a thing soon (hopefully), so those might solve our issues with size constraints.

Looking over your grenades you decide that you have enough to try something. If you set the goo grenades on timers and throw them around the Gundam's and then throw beam chaff grenades to force them to move, you might be able to goo them up so you can rush into melee.

Holstering your EM Crossbow you begin chucking grenades at the Gundam, trying to aim your throws as best you can.

Here we go.

Because I am a huge nerd, I actually worked out the math for the mass of an enormous nanoassembled Gundam, based on the listed masses for the canon Gundams. It turns out it would only be about twice the weight of a regular Gundam, as opposed to the eight times heavier you'd expect by the square cube law. So we wouldn't need to push up the thruster and actuator strength too much. It would still be nice if we had GN tech, though.

Throwing the grenades the Gundams don't seem all that bothered by them once they don't immediately go off. Throwing a pair of chaff grenades at the two forces them out of the clouds like you hoped, gooing them both to the ground and murdering their mobility.

Drawing your sword you charge at the sniper, who while farther away, is obviously suited only for long range combat with glaring holes in it's defenses.

Rushing forward, sword raised, you run out to attack...

As the sniping Gundam struggled to escape the goo you rush up to it sword in hand. It's shields might have protected it from a distance, but now that they are ensnared in the goo all they do is prevent it from using it's arms to defend itself from you.

Lifting the sword above your Gundam's head you fire the thrusters on it and bring it down with tremendous force, slicing through the head, torso, and into the back before pulling out and charging towards the fat Gundam, the remains of the other attacker exploding behind you.

The 'fat' Gundam was a lot less entangled then you had hoped. It's feet were stuck on the ground, but it's arms were still free. As you run up the hill towards it, it turns it's shoulder cannons on you and fires.

The 'fat' Gundam fires on you, but you manage to roll up the hill and out of the way of the shots, running up behind the Gundam where it can't attack you. Seeing it's heavy armor you go for the most vulnerable looking spot on the back, the large white cone shaped engine.

Thrusting your blade forward you stab it deep into the suit. While the blade doesn't pierce through the other side and into the cockpit, the damage done seems to have disable the suit.

Before you can give a victory cheer you get an urgent call from the Treasure Star.

"Jake! Get back here FAST we're leaving!"

"What? But we just got here!?!"

"It's not my fault, you damaged the Grand Wing system by turning the regulation system into a freaking oven! Now it's going crazy. You have five minutes to get back here!"

Eyes widening at the realization you holster your blade and begin to sprint towards the ship, doing boosted jumps to cross great distances and one last large jump to make it to the deck of the ship.

"I dropped my weapons down their *burp*" Lhuga says Drunkenly as her G-Exes Kai staggers aroun.

"Just leave em *burp*" Koketsu states, using his suit to help here's back into the ship.

Running inside the hanger doors close and the ship begins to shake again.

"HOLD ON!!!!!!!!!" Daiki yells.

And then you blacked out...

(This is where I'm gonna end things tonight guys. So how did you like it?)

It was fun. Are we going to get more? Did we get any interesting data for the AGE Builder from this?
>>
>>29333673
Well, this is going to confuse these people something fierce. Mysterious mobile suit shows up out of nowhere, destroys a Celestial Being strike team, leaves behind a bunch of weird tech, and vanishes. Well, hopefully some good will come of it. Maybe Graham will get a nice upgrade to his Flag from Lhuga's dropped DODS rifle and Shigeru Shield.

Oh right, your question. Yeah, this was fun. Weird, I wish we would have gotten to stay longer so we could explore this strange world, but fun. See you next time.

I don't like the sound of that.
>>
>>29333877
Yeah, it sounds pretty ominous. Maybe he just means that we'll wind up visiting every Gundam universe by the time we've gotten back to AGE. That could be neat. He hinted that we may indeed get to slap Kira, so that's something to look forward to.
>>
>>29333912
Maybe even manage to salvage the end of Gen-2. Though that's wishful thinking at this moment.

Don't forget to archive the thread, Crosswire.

...yeah. It would be nice, but I don't think we can count on it. Still, plenty of neat things to look forward to. Let's just focus for now on the funtime adventures in time and space.

Also, I haven't checked, but does Gundam AGE Quest have a TV Tropes page?
>>
>>29333975
It'd never happen, but I'd like to SRW the end of Gen 2. Like what happened with EoE.
Everything is going bleak and dark, people are going to die and then Jake appears and yells "STOP!" and the fight seems to freeze. Then he gives a speech about how when things look darkest, there's always a light.
Which is when the Alpha Numbers/Londo Bell/ZEUTH show up and we kick some ass.
>>
>>29334073
Nope.
>>
>>29334073
No, I think Zeonquest is the only Gundam Quest with it's own TV Tropes page.
>>
>>29334027
We'll see. I wonder if the next thread will have us play as Dirk fresh from the coma, or if we'll continue Jake's adventures through time and space.

>>29334101
Or alternate-timeline Jake steps out the Treasure Star and takes the blade instead of Scarlet. Either way, it probably won't happen.

>>29334073
I wouldn't do that. TVTropes has a bad reputation on 4chan.

We can't SRW this quest. Not for the issue of thematic consistency, though that's an obvious issue. No, we can't do it because Jake's a fan of classic mecha anime, and this universe seems to have all of them aside from the Gundam franchise. Maybe even that, really, for all we know Uther named his machine "Gundam" as an homage. The point is, getting the Alpha Numbers or whoever on our side would lead to him geeking out far too strongly. Especially if we go with the Z continuity, the one based around dimensional crossovers, because that one has Guren Lagann in it. Can you imagine what Jake would do if he actually got to meet Kamina?
>>
>>29334192
Speaking of Super Robots, I hope we visit the FC Timeline.
Mobile Fighter technology would be absolutely devastating.
>>
>>29334192
Speaking of Uther, I wonder what happened with him during the timeskip.
>>
Are we gonna be crossovering with another quest?
>>
>>29334627
The Treasure Star ended up in Zeon Quest for a moment a few threads back, right after it nearly crashed into Noa from Patlabor.
