>What is this?

The King of Fighters Quest is a developing Choose Your Own Adventure-style quest in which you take on the role of Katja Hartkern, an Austrailian Aborgine practioner of Kyokugen Karate and guide her towards joining a team for "The King of Fighters: Infinite Match".

Decisions are made by voting, with the first option to earn up to three or more winning; Combat choices are made via Rolls, with the highest roll or average out of the first three submissions winning. (These rules also apply in the case of multiple options with Rolls.) In the event of a tie in regards to combat options, the option with the most votes wins, with NO ROLLING after a Tie has been declared.

>Summary:

After getting to meet and talk with two aspiring Professional Wrestlers (Tsuyako Horikawa & Fiona Graves) over a much-needed meal at the Pao Pao Cafe 2, you headed home to take a shower and figure out what you were going to wear later that night, as you took on a job as a Bouncer for the Cafe 2 to pay off your meal. However, you returned to your appartment to find that it had been broken into, with your pillows and matresses ripped open and your furniture knocked over, though curiously the only thing missing were your clothes...

After a quick shower, you went on shift at 7 PM wearing an outfit provided to you by the Cafe (Made up from bits and pieces from three other outfits, neither of which "Felt Right" to you) and worked until 12:30 AM, battling belligerent customers, the cold, and thoughts of why you thought that pursuing the life of a Martial Artist in the first place... After some on-the-spot soul-searching, you had an epiphany ("To challenge myself. To grow stronger through that challenge. My Home is a deathworld, and by the time I'm done I'll be the nastiest bugger ever to walk in it.") annd felt a little better about it, but your night was about to take a turn for the worst when a limosuine holding five of the biggest movers and shakers in South Town's underworld rolled up to the front door (Kain R. Heinlen & Mr. Big among them).

Deciding to do some amatuer detective work, you "Borrowed" the clothes of a freaked-out waiter and eavesdropped on their conversation, picking up a few tidbits here and there, but ultimately drew the attention of a man dressed in black clothes you might Or might not have saw in a dream, who then decided to fight you in the back hallway.

It was a knock-down, drag it out affair that ultimately led you to be the victor, but not without some quick-thinking tactics on your part as well as few other, random factors that were out of your control.

Battered, Bruised and Exhausted, you ran back your place, packed whatever you could find and headed off to the only place you felt safe to spend the night: The Kyokugen Dojo.

After being swayed by your improbable explaination ("Look, I know it's sudden, but I got robbed, my place got ransacked, I have no money, I have two sets of clothes including this leather suit, I had to work a bouncer shift at the Pao Pao Cafe 2 to pay for my meal, I ended up listening to a mobster meeting at said cafe, and as the bruises can tell you, some mobster hitman just tried to kill me." "Mind if I crash here with you guys for a while?"), Ryo, Yuri and even Takuma eventually warmed to you living there as you made great strides in your training, even able to go toe-to-toe with Yuri Sakazaki.

One day, however, the invites to the new King of Fighters tournament arrived, yours being noticeably absent (Despite some of the people you've met calling you up about how they got thiers)... Distraught and filled with rage, you confronted Takuma over getting snubbed from Team Kyokugenryuu for Marco Rodriguez, only to hear a heartfelt confession from him as he explained that he wanted to officially acknowledge Marco as a disciple of Kyokugen Karate, but not before getting socked in the stomach for yelling at him in an uncouth manner.

You gasp your way over to Yuri and explain what you told him as you wonder what to do, as she's offered you a spot on The Women's team with her and King, though you've also gotten strong offers from THREE other teams that need a third member...

Which leads us to a very, VERY big decision.

>A. Accept Yuri's Offer and become the third Member of The Women's Team

>B. Decline, telling her that you have three different offers from other teams for a third member

>C. Go for a Non-Comittal Response to keep your options open a little while longer

>D. Something else

As of the last thread, the current polls for what Katja should do are...:

A = 3 Votes
B = 2 Votes
C = 1 Vote
D = 1 Vote

If there are any objections, this is how the story will pan out...

I imagine Vanessa will be running overwatch on the Agents Team, assuming she isn't already off on her own solo op.

It seems most likely that Katja will be joining the Women's Team (while simultaneously being the "manliest" member of the team apart from King). I wonder if Mai will think she got snubbed. Then again, she and Andy are probably training Hokutomaru as we speak, so she'd be busy.
>>
>>29379496

OK then.

>>29379736

I'm basing my picks off of KOF XIII's ending, in which Mai gets drunk at The Pao Pao Cafe, talks shit about any female that didn't get a chance to fight with "The Gorgeous Team" (IE ALL OF THE WOMEN SHE INVITED) and starts the mother of all catfights as Richard Meyer looks on, not quite sure if he should interveine or not...

So yeah, I don't think she'd be a popular pick for any female team to be quite honest.

===

You stare off into space for a moment, letting the world around you sink into the back of your mind as you decide what to do. On one hand, all of the offers you recived were solid-enough that a struggling fighter would've taken them up in a heartbeat... But you realize that you are NOT astruggling fighter, then take a look at Yuri, her expression expecting a reply. You think back to the fights you've had with her for last month or so, the feeling of getting stronger tempered only by the intensity of your sparring partner of choice.. And realize that you wouldn't want anyone else having your back, especially at a tournament as allegedly notorious as this.

"I'll do it." You tell her as an oddly cool breeze blows through the Dojo. "An omen?" you ponder as Yuri can't contain her joy at your words.

"OHMYGODREALLY!? Awesome!" She yells before giving you a hug.

"What, you and me on th' same team together? We'll be unstoppable!" you smile as you playfully ruffle up her hair.

"Alright, I'll go tell dad and call up King... Then maybe a quick spar out in the Garden?"

>B. Do Something
Follow Yuri and join in the festivities, then take her up on that spar. I mean, we ARE officially training for the King of Fighters now.

The funny thing is that Mai prides herself on being a true Japanese beauty. She's got the walk, she's got the fashion, she's got the manners, and she even does a hell of a tea ceremony (ask Kyo and Yuki). Her ninja suit and presentation is one thing, but when she goes full Yamato Nadeshiko, it's a sight.
>>
>>29380611

Oh yeah, I know that for sure. It's just that you can't bad-mouth almost every elite female fighter (Yuri & King included!) and expect them to come around, even after a year to let it die down... Plus, most people would probably think she were a stalker, what with how crazy she is over Andy Bogard, who wants to be with her, sure, but wants to beat his brother in combat more... Or so it seems, anyway.

===

"Sure thing sunshine! Just let me get my gear on" You tell her as she practically sprints away from you, a smile forming on your face.

"Well, this looks like it's 'appenin'" you think to yourself as you grab your old, patched-up Gi you use for sparring and start putting it on. "I wonder what kind of challenge awaits?" you ponder as you finish up, then confidently stride out of your room and into the Dojo proper, through the hidden back door and out into the garden, Yuri already dressed in her usual attire, though not wearing a ponytail as the two of you bow, then assume combat stances.

You waste no time in trying to overpower Yuri's defenses as you recklessly attack her, throwing out volleys of punches and kicks. Unfortunately for you, this doesn't seem to work as you had planned it, as Yuri almost casually blocks your attacks, occasionally throwing out a strike here and there that feels as though she's trying to bait you into doing something stupid early on.

You relent in your strikes and hold up your gaurd, wondering if Yuri will try to gain some ground back and attack you... Which she does to a tee as you defend and counter-hit with impressive power, seemingly picking her relatively weak punches and kicks away with a fair amount of ease.

Yuri curses herself mentally as she knows she made mistake in trying to attack after the fourth strike, in which you attempt to counter with a throw, though Yuri clashes with you and the two of you are back to square one spacing and advantage-wise...

You can tell that even though Yuri offered you the chance to spar with her, she doesn't seem to be fighting as well as she could, so you attempt to punish her sloppy mistakes with you're "Big" moves; You attempt a Ha'oh ken, and while you can feel energy come up through your arm, nothing comes out as you try to hit Yuri with it, though you can only land a glancing blow as she dodges it and hits you... With her Buttocks?

While not the most bizarre attack you've see, it's enough to get you off balance as you struggle to regain ground, though Yuri's attacks seem fairly weak in comparison to your; Though she's evading a lot of yor strikes and catching you out here and there, you seem to have the upper hand in the fight so far; Yuri's damage is paltry and her speed just isn't there.

You ponder your next move when Yuri gathers her arms back, her body starting to glow as you recognize she's going to try and perform a "Haoh Shokuo Ken".

Yeah, we Women Team now. As for King's inclusion... I might hold a casting call or something for the third slot, or try to get Katja to try and get Yuri to include Mai again (As the two of them aren't exactly on BBF-Terms yet)... I'm just not sure yet.

>>29389610

You take a long look at Yuri as she gets up off the ground, trying to hide the obvious pain she's in as she clutches her forehead. Either you've trained hard enough to finally equal (Or even surpass!) her, or something's clearly wrong with her today; For the first time in all of your sparring matches together, you've had the upper hand throughout the whole fight and have more-or-less shrugged off or countered her best atacks...

"Hang about... Whats the bother, Yuri?" You ask as she shakes her head.

"I..." Yuri starts to say before letting her voice trail off. "Let's just stop for now. You win." She says as she bows, then walks past you back into the dojo proper.

You stand in the middle of the ersatz fighting ring you were using, the only sounds you hear being the crickets in the grass and the grunts from Ryo's usual Pre-Class Training Regiment of around a thousand punches & kicks.

You wonder for a moment what could've thrown off Yuri so badly during your sparring session... "Well, only one way to find out" you say to yourself as you walk back into the Dojo and make for Yuri's room, noting that the door's locked.

"Oi, can I come in?" You ask, though you don't get any response.

"C'mon, what's eating at ya' 'Uri? You can talk to me." You say through the door, not sure if she'll reply. After a pause, you hear a faint "Come in", then open the door to find Yuri curled up in a ball on her bed with what looks like tears in her eyes.

You close the door behind you as you walk into Yuri's room. You note from first glance that it's a wreck; Either she's messier than most guys you know, or something BIG happened over the night... Which leads you to panic as you wonder what yto say, or even do; Even with bunch of Psycology Courses drilled into your head, you never really associated with people all that much, at least on an emotional level...

"...There, there...?" you awkwardly impose as you sit down next to her, offering out an arm to put over her shoulder as she starts to sob. "C-c'mon big girl what's happenin' to you? You can tell me..."

Yuri puts an arm around your waist and starts to cry, letting it all out as you awkwardly hold her tight

"I don't know... It's just.. Well, Robert called me up, said he's in town early on business and I thought "Hey, why not get in touch with him? He must be dting to see me, you know?" So I ask him if it would be cool to go out, he agrees... Then he stands me up" You hear her practically squeak, the last few words nearly breaking her voice. "S-so... So then I call up King and Mai, they take me out drinking, I get, just, ansolutely hammmered... Amd who walks by La Illusion at 1 AM?!" She screams, fury rising up in her voice as you try to connect the dots mind...Before Yuri does it for you.

"I-I mean, how would YOU feel if the guy... Or, well, the person you hold close to you in your life just did something like that?" She asks you.

I can confirm that the C Option is basically us, the players, finding out what Robert's Business last night actually was... And while it would make some sense, Robert is NOT the man in black; Shit would go DOWN if it came out that the only person keeping the Kyokugen Dojo solvent tried to murder one of it's brightest young students with his bare fucking hands. "She's Takuma's Girl after all" You think to yourself as you tell her "Then why don't we train some more today? No sparring, just work outs... Send the fucker flying, you know? Then we go find him first thing in the morning and get him to explain all this?" You ask, your stream of conscious the only thing from feeling even MORE awkward...

She pauses for a moment, then replies "Sure. Maybe after Breakfast? I'm starving."

"You'n me both. now c'mon, let's get some Soba" you tell her, the two of you walking out of Yuri's room together (Though not TOO closely)...

You step out of your hire car and take a moment to stretch the cramps out of your legs as a cold, bitter wind from the bay nips at your back. "Geese Tower..." you hear yourself mumble, a look of quiet awe on your face and a sense of dread rising up in the pit of your stomach.

Even though this is the first time you've ever been here, you've heard the stories of this place from Ryo and Takuma; The lasting legacy of the only true crime lord to truly claim the city South Town as his own, Jiesse "Geese" Howard. Even though it was abandoned after his untimely death some years ago (Which you don't quite believe, not with what Ryo learned from Terry Bogard about '"Scrolls of Jin" or something), it still remained the tallest building in all of South Town, dominating the skyline and visible even from your hotel room across town...

You crane your neck as you look upwards to the office you'll be going to and notice a large, but tastefull sign announcing this building to be the home of "The Paragon Group, North American Branch", the somewhat mysterious organization that announced plans for hosting and sponsoring "The King of Fighters: Infinite Match", as well as getting a call from it's CEO about meeting you personally...

You take a look over to your account/slash "Bodyguard", Karmann Cole and see he's clearly as uncomfortable about being here as you; The stories of ghosts from fighters and businessmen long since deceased haunting the building rining in your head with the cold, grey morning sky doing no favours.
>>
>>29391810

"Well?" you ask him, seeing what he thinks of this whole deal; After all, even though he usually puts a damper on your personal "fun", he's smart as a whip and hasn't steered you in the wrong direction yet. "I don't like it Bobby. I don't like it at all..." You hear him reply as you grip onto the lucky 50 Cent coin you keep in your back pocket. "Me either... But the CEO wanted to talk about the Broadcasting Rights I own for KoF tourneys... Plus, I still haven't gotten my invitation yet." You grin, excited about the possibility of some of the first "Quality Vacation Time" you've had in months.

"True... Still, I'd say it's up to you if you want to go inside; This place scares the hell out of me." Karman replies, exadgeratingly shivering to mark his point

>A. Go inside; The CEO's waiting for you, you don't have an invite to the biggest fighting tournament in the world and you've got more appointments throughout the day before you can meet up with the Sakazakis.

You take a long look around, then let out a long sigh. "Hell with it; Let's get this over with" You tell Karman as you head over to your driver and tell him to wait out front as your bodyguard follows you up the steps and into the spacious receptionist area, two tall men in suits seemingly waiting for you... You also note that their wearing white ties as an uneasy feeling rises up again; 'Why does this feel like it's all so OFF?" You wonder, quietly asking yourself if the ghost of Geese Howard is going to jump and mug you.

"Good evening... Mr. Garcia, I presume? I'm Draco. Mr. Gabriel is waiting for upstairs." The guy with long hair and a beard asks you.

"Yeah, that's me. Shall we?" You reply as the other, short-haired Asian guy nods and motions Draco to start patting you and Karman down for concealed weapons of any kind, right in the middle of the reception area! "Unbelievable" You think to yourself as you somehow feel more at unease than you did outside in the cold while Karman asks "Hey, is this really necessary now?"

"You can never be too careful nowadays... Just last week somebody tried to knife our boss with some kind of shiv made out of a metal that doesn't register on metal detectors..." "Name's Kazunori, by the way."

"Charmed" You hear Karman reply before they give a motion that seems to be an "A-OK" signal as they motion you to follow them to a set of elevators.

I'm down for the rest of the day & night though!

>>29392458

The wait to get to the top floor is agonizing, and isn't helped by the oddly cheerful "Elevator Music" that seems like it's playing right into your ears, the desolate mood heightened by the ominous looks you recieve from "Draco" & "Kazunori"...

Eventually, you arrive at the top of the numbered floors, the "Ding!" noise the elevator makes being music to your ears as you and Karman walk out into a small, though decadently-furnished hallway, a pair of large imposing doors a slight ways aways from you.

"Follow us, please." "Kazunroi" asks as he & "Draco" walk ahead of you, though you roll your eyes at how melodramatic this all seems to be (Besides, where can you GO from this hallway? Unless there were hidden doors or something...)

The two Suited Men nod, then open the doors and reveal a MASSIVE office, with red carpeted floors and Neo-Gothic Architecture up on the walls, though your eyes follow and zoom in on a large, oil canvas-painting of a decorated calvary officer holding a Sabre outward, leading a squadron of ...

After admiring the painting to keep your mind off of anything TOO sinister, you and Karman take a longer-than-expected walk up to a Mahogany Desk, a man sitting in high-backed "Swivel" chair with his back to the tow of you.

Slowly, the chair turns around to reveal a Youthful man with impeccably styled Blonde Hair and piercing Blue eyes, all framed on a face that makes you wonder if this is all a ruse; "He looks, what, 25? 26? How could some kid be in charge of a company so big?"

"Ah, welcome..." he says in a slightly... French Accent? "I'm Jean-Claude Gabriel, the CEO of The Paragon Group" he introduces himself, his gloved hand outstretched.

"I'm Robert Garcia, Head of the Garcia Concern." You reply, making an effort to be as cordial as possible before introducing Karman alongside you.

"Yes, I've heard all about you; "Savoir to the Garcia Family", "The Playboy CEO", GQ Italia's "Fashionable Man of the Year"... Please, take a seat

"Wait, really? Why didn't anyone tell me about that?" You think to yourself, though you put on a quick smile before replying "I guess my reputation precedes me then... I hate to be rude, but can we get to the point of this meeting? I' have other things planned for today."

Gabriel looks a litte disappointed at you for a moment, but nods and says "Alright then" as he wordlessly motions Draco & Kazunori to guard the doors outside of his office. "Let's get down to brass tacks. During the run-up to the 3rd King of Fighters tournament, the Kagura Corporation signed up your Concern's various Television Stations in a contract that grants them the right to broadcast ANYTHING KOF-Related in Europe... Correct?"

"Correct" You answer, knowing that such a deal probably wouldn't have been able to be done nowadays as your mind can somewhat guess where this conversation is heading.

"Recently. I've gotten in touch with a few companies that feel that this is... How would you say? Predatory." Gabriel replies, his manicured fingertips tapping on his desk ("Obviously a nervous tick" you note).

"Maybe so, but you don't exactly see companies lining up around the block to broadcast something like this" You reply, knowing that Gabriel has pretty solid ground to stand on in this discussion (As your father wasn't exactly known for being a "Fair Businessman" like yourself and probably orchestrated the deal Gabriel's talking about).

"True... But I intend to change that" Gabriel replies, pausing to take a sip from a glass of water.

"I want to modernized The King of Fighters tournaments; Make them more... Presentable to the world of today." Gabriel says, adding "And I can't do that without Europe or South America's TV sets; Historically speaking, they seem to appreciate this kind of thing more than the United States, or even Asia for that matter."

You nod, impressed at this "Kid's" research; You remember the amount of time and effort it took the Kagura Corporation a stage in Friggin' SOUTH TOWN, of all places, while far-off locations in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and all of Europe seemed only willing to accept offers to promote the King of Fighters tournaments.

"Ok... What's your offer?" You ask, maybe a little too impatiently but damn it, this office and that painting are creeping your RIGHT the fuck out!

Gabriel says nothing, instead moving a hand into the breast of his blue suit-jacket. You & Karmann freeze, half-expecting him to pull out a gun, but instead reveals a plain, white envelope with a Red Seal, placing it on the table and then

"My sources claim that you're an accomplished fighter; Hand-picked to be disciple of Kyokugen Karate" He says, pausing for added effect before saying "And I know that the life of a CEO isn't your speed; I can see it in your eyes. You need these as much a most people need "Regular" vacations."

You look at the envelope in front of, wondering why is this choice so hard? To be sure, The King of Fighter's is something you've poured your life into when you were younger, but you skipped the 11th tournament and everyone in your family expected you to retire... Yet you came back for the 12th & 13th Tournaments all the same.

"Annd before you say anything, keep in mind that your father made a deal that was all-but illegal back in the '90's; My partners and sponsors could sue you for anti-competition clauses, bribery, racketeering..." His voice trails off, but not before bringing out a three-page contract, along with a pen and station for it.
>>
>>29395000

"But if I sign that, everything's peachy?" You mutter, a part of you knowing that the kid's right; Your families contracts would'nt last a snowball's chace in hell in court...

"More-or-less; My offer stands as this: Give me rights to Europe & South America, and I'll give you invitation to compete" Gabriel replies, pushing the envelope towards you with a devilish grin on his face.

You give the contract a look-through, then give to Karman to pour over, as the first paragraph alone is filled with the kind of "Legal-ease" that makes your head hurt.

"OK, look; My dad did some pretty shady stuff when he was in charge. that we can agree on, yes?"

Gabriel nods, his mood starting to sour and his eyesstarting to narrow at you as you continue your off-the-cuff reply. "But what I'll ask you now is this: Do you honestly think this is any better? One monopoly you can't control getting replaced by another you and your buddies are involved in? Get over yourself!"

Karmen looks somewhat pale as he puts his hand over his mouth, not quite believing what you've just said as Gabriel looks on, then replies "Did you even READ the contract? I don't want an outright take-over; I want the opportunity for my partners and their cameras to telecast this Tournament into Europe & South America!" Gabriel yells at you, before taking a breath and composing himself once more. "Besides that, the contract your family has doesn't allow ANYONE that right, which goes against anti-trust laws in several countries that are interested inon-demand Pay-Per-View telecasts, as well as a few countries that want to livestream it as well"

"If that's the case, then why have I not been notified that this contract was illegal? Why have I not been informed of this bombshell that my family have been sitting on for nearly fifteen years? Well?!"

"Because when the Kagura Corp filed for bankruptcy, they lost the rights to televise the tournaments and indeed, the last three KoF Tournaments HAD NO LEGAL TV COVERAGE. The only way you could watch was via livestream for KoF XII & XIII." Gabriel pauses, taking a breath before continuing. "What I simply want is to renew the original contract, but with clauses that allow my partners to join in, as well as a percentage of the gross product."

You stare back at him, eyeing him intensely as Karman hands the contract back to you. "It all checks out" He says, sweat forming across his brow. "All The Paragon Group wants is to get a cut of the distribution and liscencing fees, as well as rights to broadcast and promote anything KoF-Related."

"OK then... How much?"

Gabriel pauses, scratching his chin before replying "65%".

"50%. No more, no less" You immediately fire back at him, a bemused look on his face.

"You think you hold all the cards here? I'm being pretty lenient here;I could've gone straight to the courts over the wording of your father's previous contract but I didn't I went straght to you to try and include a few concessions in your old one".

You glaringly look at him for a moment before replying "What would happen if I refuse, eh? Get rubbed out and tossed into South Town Harbour in a weighted sack?"

"You watch too many Mafia Movies Mr. Garcia; I would simply pull the funding for the tournament"

"Killing it, then."

"Basicaly... And think about all of the people out there that would be thrilled to see a New King of Fighters? I've already gotten a few Videogame Developers on board to try and sell it to the next generation..." His says, again pausing for breath.

"A... Videogame? Of King of Fighters? Who would want to play that?" You ask, looking at Karmann Cole, who looks equally as confused as you look back to Jean Gabriel.

"My point remains; I want to modernize this thing. I want to bring it into the 22nd Century and to do that, I need to promote the HELL out of it... Which, of course, means media rights, in all forms."

"I'll say it one more time..." "Fifty Percent. No more, No less or I walk. I don't give a damn what happens if I do"

The fire you saw in Gabriel's eyes earlier seems to fizzle out as he sighs, content to cede you the favor. "Very well, 50% it is. Just sign on the dotted line on the bottom of Page 3 on the contract Mr. Cole is holding, then do so in the other two here." Gabriel tells you as he opens a desk drawer, pulling out two more copies and dropping them on his desk.

You take a look at the doted lines on each contract and notice that Gabriel's already signed his part, though you also see a dark-red dot the size of a human thumbprint on all three of them. A part of you sees a large, thumbtack-like object next to you pen and your mind starts to race, horrifying visions of getting poisoned or diseased swirling around in your head.

"I prefer to have the Blood Blot on all of them, honestly. In the event that someone DID try to make any forgeries, we can use DNA testing to ensure these are all legitimate and binding contracts." Gabriel adds, seeing your visible unease at the sight of blood before adding "I never thought the head of the Garcia Family would be so squeamish, eh?"

"No, I'm not squeamish. I've read too many books to know how a contract signed in blood ends..." You coldly reply, convinced that the "Blood Blots" were nothing more than an elaborate scheme to get you ill, or even kill you before the start of the Tournament you dearly enjoy. "Get those contracts done up again with a Fingerprint in Ink and THEN I'll sign." You add as you motion to Karmem to get up.

"There isn't any TIME for that you little shit!" Gabriel yells, pounding on his desk. "I've got the press on my ass waiting for a formal announcement, I've got highlight reels and history shows all lined up and ready to go and YOU own the rights to all the footage I want to use! So sign the goddamn contract!!"

Though every fiber in your body wants to knock this asshole through the stratosphere with a Kouho uppercut or Fujinn-Zan kick, you know that now is not the time for such antics (Though you begin to channel your Ki into you just in case things out of hand). You slowly grab put a pair of Sunglasses you keep in your pants pocket and put them on, crossing your arms and telling Jean Gabriel to "Deal With It".

Karman Cole taps you on the shoulder as the two of you turn and walk away from Gabriel's desk, half-expecting him to run after you or shoot you, but instead you hear him yell insults at you in flawless Sicillian-Dialect Itallian, though the two of you chuckle a little as storm out of his office, not even glancing at "Draco" & "Kazunori" (Who were standing guard outside) and make for the elevator.

>Meanwhile, near the front of Gabriel's office...

Draco & Kazunori both look at each other for a moment, before Kazunori sighs and grabs his wallet, fishing out $20 and putting in it in the palm of Draco's hand. "Told you he's smarter than that" He says with a chuckle, drawing the ire of Jean-Claude Gabriel sitting inside the office behind them.

"Both of you GET IN HERE. NOW!"

>>
>>29398348

Personally? My mind's jumping to the possibility of a clone. Possibly a clone afflicted with the blood of Orochi.

Alternatively, and in fact, probably, it's something completely different that's going to blindside us and result in Katja-us swearing like a very creative navvy. Let's just see how it goes, eh?
>>
Sorry for the fluff and write-faggotry Anons; I've got one more post filled with it, then back to multiple choices.

>>29397941 (You)

The two of them walk into the office and sit down in the chairs facing Gabriel, each of them expecting to get razzed out by their boss... Who seems oddly calm all considered.

"OK... New Plan: I want the two of you to go out and hit up ever single spot for fighters; The person you pick will be included into the King of Fighters, the three of you forming "The Wildcard Team". From there, we'll rig the bracket so that if you do your jobs right, you WILL face off against whatever team that fucker joins and you will make him PAY."

"We can't kill him though; It would drive the sponsors away, wouldn't it?" Kazunori ponders, his right hand scratching his chin.

"Besides that, why do we have to go out and find somebody when you can fight alongside us?" Draco asks.

"Two Reasons: One, I don't fight bare-handed and I'm not going to bring swords into this. Two, It's bad form for the sponsor of the tournament to enter as a participant." Gabriel replies, sipping a glass of water.

"It didn't stop Wolfgang Krauser or Geese." Draco mentions to no one in particular.

"Regardless, it's an image I don't want to feed into; This is the "New" KoF I'm trying to sell here. Something like that would bring up the "Bad Old Days" that I want to endorse, not condone." Gabriel Replies.

"Any objections to who we bring in? There could be agents around trying to look after you for all of this." Draco asks, knowing of the so-called "Agents Team" and their success in bring down several well-known cartels.

"Make sure you find someone of repute, then I'll use my contact's contacts to look into the STPD for any criminal records."

"Man, that's a ton of fucking work; Why don't just get some Sniper Rifles, find a belltower or a grassy knoll or some shit and go to town? Problem solved" Kazunori enquires, playing through a deck of cards.

"Believe me, if it ANY other time of the year that's what you'd do and we wouldn't be having this conversation."

"Eh, not a fan of sniping honestly; I dilsike guns myself" Draco says, his hands behind his back.

"Then you do carry a Desert Eagle in your back pocket and roll with a Winchester Rifle?" Kazunori asks, whispering in.

"To shut people the fuck up, that's why" Draco replies as Gabriel slams his fist down on his desk like a gavel.

"Gentlemen, Please! Back to the topic at hand!" Gabriel yells, before again returning to his calm voice. "Now, as I was saying, public assasinations are a no-go. Making him WISH he were dead? Knock yourselves out." Gabriel tells them before adding "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to draft up three more fucking contracts before Friday and convince Garcia to play ball."

"You really want to make this happen, huh?" Kazunori asks before Draco taps him on the shoulder.

"Leave him be, we gotta go to work" He tells him as the two of them start walking out of Gabriels sprawling office.

"Where do you want to go? The Pao Pao?" Kazunori asks.

"Always a good place to start; The fight Crowd's comming in around this time too." Draco replies as the two of them wait for the elevator to be usable again...

Darkness.

All you can see, all you can hear, all you can feel for seemingly miles around you.

You know you're still alive; You can move your hands and legs, feel yourself standing upright, but you can't see anything... Then you start to hear something far off into the distance; Far enough away that you really have to concentrate to hear it. It almost sounds like... "A crowd?" you wonder, the fiirst thought in your mind after reaching this darkened place.

Curiously, you see a tiny speck of light off into the distance, about the same length away from where you stand as the noise.

You heard about situations from others; Getting knocked into a coma, nothing but inky darkness all around you, then seeing a bright light shining off into the distance... Usually, you shuffle off this mirtal coil, end up in heaven and have your sins judged, then end up in hell.

But here... You don't know why, or what, but something compells you to go to that light off in that distance. You stretch your neck for a bit, then your calves, then your legs and assume a sprinter's crouch as starting blocks rising up under the ground underneath your feet.

You slowly count backwards from three in your head, then hear a Crack, distinctly sounding like lightning striking the ground as you start to run.

And Run.

And run some more.

Honestly, it felt like you were running forever, the distance immeasurable through normal means... But as you ran, heart pumping, body sweating, you started to see that speck in the distance grow, hear the roar of a crowd rumble in your ears like thunder as you kept running

Eventually, after what felt like forever, you arrive at the light in the distance... A pair of extremely large, Imposing doors illuminated by the bright yellow glow of a MASSIVE pair of street lamps hanging in the sky above them.

You look around for a moment, expecting someone, something, to show up and maybe give a hint as to what you should do... But nothing happended. You simply stood there, looking at these two imposing doors, made of Wood & Steel sitting quietly as what sounds like the roar of Thunder itself is on the other side.

Running out of things to do, you try knocking on the door, your fists echoing like an earthquake... But there's no reply, no response. Looking around you, you notice two large, imposing rings on each side of the door, obviously handles... Yet when you knock either one of them together, they make no sound at all?

Confused at this, you outstretch your arms and pull, trying to get this friggin' door to move...

You strain at these doors, your body quivering from the strength you're using as you continue to pull towards you, convinced that they can be opened.

Though, after a few moments you then wonder what took you so long to get the idea to open them in the first place, as they fly open with your body pulling the door knockers off their bleedin' hinges! You fall to the ground and land on your ass, but you're taken back by the noise, the color, but mostly the unbelievable SOUND as you take a look the other side, finding a MASSIVE stadium packed with the wildest looking demi-people you've ever seen; A Wolf-Man in a Red & White Trucker Cap. an Asian Dragon flying high above the stadium while wearing an orange robe of some sort, Some Japanese dude that looked like he came right out of highschool; You name it, it was in this arena and more.

"NEXT!" You hear a Thunderous voice yell as you turn to look and see a Big, burly Bear standing to your right side, dressed like a "Ticket Taker" you occasionally saw at Cricket Matches or on Trains... Though this Bear takes one good look at you and clicks his tongue. "Sorry sweethart, but I can't let you in; Ya' need a mask, or somethin'." The bear roars, though you seem to make out his words, which have a familiar accent to them.

"B-But what about that kid over there?" You stammer, pointing to the headband-wearing Japanese Highschooler.

"Oh, him? He ain't got no style; That's why he's 'ere." The bear grumbles before adding "Now let's get ya' outta 'ere ya' bloody freeloader!"

"Oh, come ON Mr. Bear! I pulled those doors open with my hands so hard the handles came off! Can't you let the dress code slide for me for a minute?"

The Bear gives you a look, impressed at your explaination, then smiles a little. "Oh, awright. Just make it quick; There's a changin' room round this section 'ere that's marked fer' ladies like yourself. "

You smile at the bears growls as nod, but not before he adds "But really, do make it quick before the security kick ya' out for good, love."

Again, you start to run, though you also start dodging various people/monsters/shit you don't EVEN KNOW what to call as you see a door with a Star Marked on it, "Changing Rooms" underneath the star. Seeing that the door is unlocked and that no one's inside, you turn on a light and lock the door behind you, finding three different outfits you could wear...

Inspecting them, they all seem a bit cartoonish, though then again you can't complain compared to some of the weird shit you've seen walking/crawling/slithering around the stadium.

The first outfit seems like a stereotypical "Outback" wear, though you can't help that you've seen it somewhere before... Moving along, the second outfit looks a lot like your bike leathers, but much more stylized and and with enough belts and zippers that you'd imagine yourself in some sort of 80's Sci-Fi movie. Lastly, there's a relatively plain-looking black Karate Gi a Hanyaa mast sitting on top of it...

>A. Go for the "Rugged" Look (AKA Rule 63 Crocodile Dundee)

>B. Go for the "Neowave" Look (A black Leather Catsuit with an zipper that goes down to your Navel, with Futuristic Combat Boots, Gloves & Belts)

You take a look at the Leather Catsuit again, taking in it's unique design as you put it on, checking out what every last little strap and zipper does as you toss the other two aside, the Gi feeling a bit plain and the "Outback" one being the seeming embodiment of every stereotype about your homeland rolled into one outfit.

As you put on your gloves and adjust the . It's a rough face, beautiful in it's own way backedup by a SERIOUSLY strong, toned body most female athletes would die to have... But then you remember what The Bear told you and wondered "Where'my gonna' find a mask 'round here?"

As if on cue, you stumble forward to find a brightly-colored Yellow Motorcycle-Grade helmet next to your foot. Picking it up, you note that there isn't a real scratch on it and you put it on without thinking as you walk out the door, bumping into what looks like a Japanese Shinto Shrine maiden with Short brown hair and tan skin, albiet one that's wearing an impossibly long headband and an "Outfit" that looks like the it's being held together via bits of string tied around the sides & sleeves that doesn't seem to be much of a job from covering her amazingly large, full figure... Making you wonder "Shit, maybe 'Uri WAS right; I need to get out and date guys more often!"

"Please, don't stare" she quietly pleads to you as she walks by, a funny sense of Deja Vu overcomming as you wonder where you've seen her before... Though your thoughts are lost fairly quickly into the wild, ramuncious energy of the stadium.

You take a look around the sprawling stadium and see that though you've covered a lot of ground, you're still in the "Nose Bleed" seats, almost seeing clouds form in front of you if you stop to look long enough...

Though you can't because you seem to be follwing the Shrine Maiden from earlier, the sight you see unfold in front of you nearly breaking your heart: The Shrine Maiden slowly walking in front of you, her body language growing more timid, then sorrowful with each footstep as several hoots and hollers turn to scorn and rage... All while with each footstep she took, she gains more coverage on her clothing (Which you appreciate; "An outfit like that belong's in a Strip Joint" you think to yourself), but loses more of what makes herself as a person unique.

Over the course of at least a mile's worth of steps you see this woman transform from what she was into a tiny, pale, frail-looking little girl in an outfit that nearly covers from head-to-toe, with the derisions STILL continuing, except for the opposite reasons!

Somewhere, somehow, you see yourself in that girl in front of you, identify with her struggle for identity and what your appearance means to others (as being "A Bloody Abbo" in Australia meant getting a lot of bad looks and slurs thrown your way)... When you notice the tail of a large, serpent-like creature slowly start to slither up towards the maiden's right foot.

You don't waste any time and start to sprint towards the Shrine Maiden, though whatever is after her grabs her right foot and runs off, dragging her along.

You use an almost lightning-like speed to catch up to the beast and deliver a Hien Shippu Kyakuu Kick to it's tail, severely damaging it on the last hit as your foot was engulfed in Electricity!

"Never seen that before" you think to yourself as you then fire off a Ha'oh Ken, except it turns into a large ball of electricity, with your fist being the center of it's expulsion.

That attack also hits hard enough for the GIGANTIC Snake's tail to frop the maiden to the ground, a Red-Headed Valkyrie dropping down on her knees to catch her from falling as you overhear "Please Do Not Feed the Orochi a Shrine Maiden; You will be fined 500 Kruegerands for committing such an offense" get repeated over the Stadium's Public Adress System as the long tail attempts to swipe at you.

You attempt to block the Snake's tail as it swipes at you, but the strength of it's attack is enormous, easily breaking your guard and leaving you reeling for a few moments as it directs it's attention towards you, turning around to reveal a montrously large head with what seem like 8 sets of eyes on it... The Snake lets out a mighty roar as it opens it's jaws, lunging at you, but you attempt to blast it with your newly-found Ha'oh Ken. Though the attack it hits, the beast seemingly continues on and chomps down your body as you struggle to keep it's jaws from devouring you alive... Before you use your leverage to deliver the strongest Kouho you've ever performed, a trail of lightning following it's upward arc as you smack the Snake in the nose, damaging it somewhat.

You think you yell at the shrine maiden and the valkyrie to leave, but the words that come out of your mouth don't sound like any language you've ever heard of as you and this massive snake slowly size each other up...

You hear the thunder crackle in the distance, the bright flashes of lightning softened due to them being blocked by the storm clouds above you, your body tingling in excitement as you wait for a bolt of lightning tp strike near you, so you can try to feel that sensation you felt before once again.

Thus, you hold up your guard for what feels like hours, expectant of Mother Nature to offer you a possibility of besting this foul beast... Except it doesn't come.

Eventually, the Monsterous Snake bores of waiting and avances towards you, a jaw large enough to swallow you whole opening as time seems to slow down, the tenths and hundreths of a second in the Snake's and your own movements feeling hours, days even as you spot that familiar-looking flash of a Lightning Bolt strike down... Onto The Snake's Head, HARD... And you calmly step into the blast radius.

Unfortunately, this time it's a different sensation; The lightnint bolt's actually HURTING you as your body convulses, your nerve endings on fire and you feel your heart almost stop, then try to explode out of your chest as you hear yourself scream in pain...

Only to wake up in a bed at the Hospital, a certain Red-Headed nurse's hands over your heart as you gasp for breath, your vocal chords still a little sore as your feel your heart start beating once more, your eyes slowly closing as you feel more... Relaxed?

You wait in the hall just outside of the Kagura Clinic's Intensive Care Unit in South Town, a part of your heart feeling just a little bit empty inside after watching what had happened over and over in your mind... A part of you expected something like this happen; You had a pit in your stomach after you had gone inside the Dojo when the rain started to fall and let Katja to do her own training outside, but thought better of it and did a few more hours of training, thinking that eventually she'd come in.

But she didn't. Your dad might've appreciated her training out in elements (All while scolding you for "Not Following her example"), but when you walked back out and called her in for dinner, you felt the ground lose its footing underneath your feet when you watched the lightning bolt strike her; It was almost like finding out that your mother died when you were only six.

You were a wreck when you called up the ambulance, seemingly wondering if they had a frequent visitors discount as you bawled your eyes out... It was nice enough that King & Mai heard about it from Ryo and came to comfort you, though King came in directly from work and Mai was bit tipsy, rambling about how she had lost her Invite to the KoF after "Some kid snatched it" then meeting "These two cool guys" at a bar (All while wearing a "Dress" that somehow left even less imaginiation than her usual attire); They were sleeping out front in the receptionist's area, along with your brother and Robert Garcia, who even went to the trouble of putting off one of his last business meetings offer moral support...

Honestly, even though she's hooked up to a few wires and an oxygen mask, she doesn't look TOO far gone... Still, you go up to her and hold her hand, squeezing it tight and try not to start crying again as you kiss it, then turn around and walk back out.

"Tell me... How bad are her injuries Dr.?"

Well... It's hard to say; Physically, her external injuries are minor: A few burns that might leave some scarring, but not likely, and no internal injuries to her organs... But..."

"But?" You add, trying to sound hopeful.

"Unfortunately, my cooleagues have theorized that this incident might leave lasting psychological trauma. She might have to step away from fighting until she recovers" He adds.

"OK... Thanks." You tell him as you walk back to the visitor's area, wondering what to do...

You walk over to the visitor's lobby, your mind wandering as you think about what you could even do? Takuma's praying for Katja back at the house with Marco rodriguez with him, everyone else is asleep...

Then you look at Robert sleeping on a few different chairs and a seething fury starts to build up inside of you; This son of a bitch decides to blow you off, schmooze around with other women and THEN decides to show up to lend a hand to hold? FUCK that! You're waking him up and telling what's on your damn mind!

You march over to him and punch him on the shoulder. He stirs, but then you slap him across the face, your eyes overcome with emotion.

"Ow... Yuri?" Robert moans as he scratches his head and rubs his face, slowly waking up as he focuses on your face. "The hell was that for?"

"You... You know damn well what that was for!" You all-but-yell, a fiery determination in your eyes and a deep timbre in your voice.

"Yuri, honey, calm down-"

"NO! You don't call me, you always make up some lame excuse and you're risking throughing away our relationship for some skinny little twig of a hussie?!" You grumble

"Ah jeeze... She's gon Ms. Karate on me all of a sudden" Robert thinks as he says to you "Look, Yuri, I DO care for you, OK? But I'm a busy man; I have to manage assets that add up to NINE FIGURES. I travel all the damn time, live out of my suitcase... Listen, the girl your talking about? she's the secretary for the sponsor of the King of Fighters tournament; Her name's Iijima. She came along with the CEO to try to get me to relenquish my family's TV Rights hold on the tournaments..."

"Then what about last night? At La Illusion? I saw you with her arm around yours..." You question, still suspicious about his explaination.
>>
>>29419402

"Well... After I relented a small cut of the money from the fees, they wanted to celibrate, so they went club-hopping with me. I heard from Ryo that you and Shiranui went out to King's, so I wanted to stop in and say hey, but by the time we got to the La Illusion, Iijima couldn't even fucking STAND and Gabriel, the CEO guy? He split in a car that had been following us the whole time." Robert explains, a sour mood on his face.

You pause, then look at Robert's Scowl as you sit down next to him, careful not to sit TOO close to him as you say "I just... I..." You pause, then say "I'm sorry. God, I'm so sorry!" as you start to sob again, grasping at Roberts waist without thinking. Against your expectations, he grabs you and gives you a warm embrace, then says "Yuri... For the amount of time I've spent with you and the amount of money I've spent ON you, I could've had any girl I've met while I was away... But I didn't. I kept faithful to you, told everybody about how amazing you are, how much I... Well..." Robert tels you as his words trail off.

Your eyes widen as you look up at his handsome face, "Oh FUCK!" You think you hear yourself say, though you don't actually move your lips as Robert keeps talking. "The fact that the one time I DIDN'T call you and tell you were I was, who I was with and why... And that you immediately assumed that I was cheating on you... It hurts. A lot."

"Then...? Is it over?" You mumble, the words feeling as though they escaped through your mouth rather than actually saying them.

Those words linger in the air like the rain outside the Clinis's windows as Robert ponders this thought, though you honestly can't imagine your life without him. Finally, you hear him say "... No." Before taking an even longer pause, with your ears hanging on his every word "No, I don't. But we need to take it back a little bit, slow it down."

"B-But... How slow ARE we? You haven't even-" You stammer before Robert cuts you off.

"-In a long time, I know. Look, just give me some time... Tell Ryo when he wakes up to give me a call as soon as the two of you get back to the Dojo." He says as he brushes you aside, getting up out of his chair and grabbing his coat before walking out.

What's the deal with Andy Draco? If the goal was to have us create the "Evil" Team, they are already 2 so it limits the amount of "adventure" that can happen with them.

I think we are done with Robert and Yuri for a while (at least I hope so), I'd rather get back to Katja and start to train or kick some ass (especially that Snake's one, sometimes in the future).

So.

Option C is basically the chance to act like two guys straight out of the movie "Pulp Fiction" playing Grand Theft Auto: South Town, as well as act like total "That Guys". It's cheesy, but not important; They more-or-less write themselves and might be the basis for a future quest idea I have... They also might meet up with the "Celbrities" of KoF (Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, the Bogard Brothers Etc. Etc.).

That said, if y'all are really up to go down the rabbit hole once again, I don't mind.
>>
>>29421145
I'm totally sold on my choice
>>
>>29421145
Seems a bit like derailing, no offense. Whatever would happen it would have very little influence on Katja and our "goal" (win the tournament I guess). Plus if we do well we are helping the enemy so...........

I'd rather go back to Katja, things are starting to become really interesting on her side with that electricity thing.

>New Thread Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Tr0otuiQuU

You wake up on a rather comforatble bed, the sheer weight of the covers keeping you lying on your back as you look up at the mural hanging on the ceiling; A Wyvern flying through a stormy sky, Lightning strikes visible in the far-off background as it's eyes look back at you.

After a little bit of prodding, you finally manage to flip the covers off of you and sit up, checking your fine, nude(?) body for scars or bruises as well as check your movements for any hang-ups; Curiously, you find that everything feels, well, normal; You could probably take on anyone in a fight, if you felt like it as you stand up and scan the room.

"This place's is bleedin' HUGE!" You say to yourself, the sound of your voice echoing off of the walls. The floor is carpeted quite nicely as you look around, finding that the place is oddly under-furnished for the size; There's a Closet, a door half-open that you can see is the private bathroom, a nightstand with a mirror... And that's it.

With nohing better to do, you start doing you're normal "Warm-Up" stretch routine, ildly wondering where you are and half-expecting someone to barge in on you while you don't have any clothes.

Though... The lack of anyone around you, or even the lack of noise IS somewhat disturbing; Your ears were trained in The Outback and you've NEVER been somewhere this quiet...

Eventually, you finish your routine before you know it, feeling as chipper as ever as you look around once more, noticing a large set of drapes off to the side...

>A. Go open the drapes to let some light in; Maybe they'll give you clues as to where you are?

Feeling a bit limber right now, you put your creeping fears aside and continue stretching, using a routine that you had found from The Austrailian Olympic Gymnastics Team; Full Splits, Side Splits, the Elevated V-Sit... Though it feels like it's been the longest time since you've tried to do them (And would balk at doing them under the eyes of the Kyokugen Students, with or without clothes!), right now your body's on a roll and responding better than you've ever fely it before, making you wonder if you could possibly find something heavy to add weight...

As you finish, you start to feel the cold of the room on your body, as well as a stench you can't quite ientify... Though it feels like it's coming from you.

The lack of any noise from outside or even inside this cavernous room is starting to unerve you somewhat, though at the moment your senses are more occupied by the smell of your (Seemingly) unwashed body...

You take a look at the half-open door, sigh, then shrug before walking over towards it, cautiously opening the door and find a large, candle-lit room and note that while there's no shower, there IS a quite-large tile bathtub, complete with an almost-modern looking spiggot and faucet along with several shampoos and .

You take one last look around before going into the bathroom, closing the door behind you and step into the tub, turning the faucet on and step in, letting the hot water soothe your form. While you were always a fan of showers, mainly because in most of the places you've lived that was the only thing availableto you, you quietly admit to yourself that a nice, long soak in a tub is good to enjoy once in a great while... Especially with Bubbles! Hell, you can't even remember the last time you had one of those.

But once again, paranoia creeps up into the back of your mind; This all seems TOO comfortable, too tranquil... That, or you've experienced enough bad luck in your life that maybe it's conditioned in your mind...

When you hear a knock on the door.

You sink into the bath, the bubbles up to your neck as you cheerfully ask "Who is it?"

A deep sense of dread rises up within you as you get no response before hearing a loud bang from the door, a voice as deep as thunder yelling "IT'S TIME!"

You quickly scramble out of the bath, panicking as whatever's on the otherside hears what your doing as it crashes into the door again as it says again "IT's TIME!!" as the whole mood of your dream changes in a heartbeat, twisting into a nightmare part of you wants to end right here and now...

Except it doesn't; You desperately look for something, hell, ANYTHING to cover yourself with while whatever the hell is outside stomps it's feet three times in sync with saying "IT'S. RAIDEN. TIME!!!", the door exploding with the force of lightning on the third stomp as a MASSIVE Japanese Demon wearing somewhat-familiar looking Navy-Blue & Yellow Pro Wrestling Gear and a belt of Japanese Taiko Drums floating behind him blocks your only way out, a now familiar presence of Electricity filling the air and bolts of lightning curling around his kneepads...

"Goddamn... That's an incredibley beautiful navel. The work of a god himself!" He exclaims as you try to cover yourself up and act terrified of him, trying to act like the classic "Damsel in Distress" you've seen a million times before. "Tell me, Oni-Skinned Maiden, how did you acquire such beauty? From battle? It would explain that scar on your cheek, as well as that impressive musculature.." He mischieviously grins, leering at you through his mask.

If the mood didn't feel so seriousand this guy's expression wasn't so lecherously evil you might've just burst out into laughter; The clothes alone might have had you giggle, but the prim and propper speach is temperred by hearing Raiden have an odd accent that reminds you of the barely-understandable street urchins that used to trawl around Sydney after the rumbling of his voice stops. It also doesn't help your ruse of acting terrified of him, as you note that the lightning around his knees take about 3 seconds to start, go around his entire leg and end in a Figure-8 motion and it lasts around five seconds...

"So..." Raiden says, his eyes on you and his body tensing up as he hunches slightly towards you, his muscled arms upwards and seemingly ready to grab you if you try to get too close...

"No... No, no, no NO!" You stammer out while counting down "3... 2... 1 NOW!" You break into a full sprint and run straight towards him, eyeing the rotation of that bolt of lightning around his knee as you juke to the left, dodging his clumsy grapple attempt (Had he been aiming for your head instead of your chest, he might have actually gotten you) and instead running straight into the lightning bolt, "Riding the Lightning" to transport you around his left leg and behind him without noticing...
