>Recap

After being knocked unconscious by Android 18, you had a vision of how Erica, Bardock, Goku, Ragus, Selri, and Collie fell to Android 16. You woke up and immediately became sick, telling the others what you saw. After comforting Spina, you spoke with Android 18, who felt guilty about knocking you out and possibly triggering that vision. After assuring her you were not upset with her, the two of you agreed to train later that day. After training with your wives in the Red Room, you went to the black room and sparred with 18. Initially, you did poorly, and 18 accused you of holding back and fighting predictably. However, you used a triple Kaio-Ken and managed to beat her fairly easily. The two of you went back outside to talk to the others, and soon saw two figures approaching the Lookout. You soon discovered that they were Selri and Collie, who had somehow survived the battle with Android 16. After feeding them and giving them water, they said they would tell everyone what occurred as soon as everyone was on Mars.

You stand on Kami's Lookout, Selri and Collie the only ones with you, each of them sitting down, and looking to be in very bad shape. Kami and Mr. Popo are somewhere on the Lookout, but everyone else has travelled to Mars via instant transmission.

All the girls are basically equal, except Bulma. Bulma is very much for Vegeta.

All the kids SHOULD be equal, but Bardock was the first, and inherited the greatest portion of Frank's protective instincts.

"Before we go, I had another of my stupid visions last night" you tell them. "I saw it all...and I was sick. So, please be careful with the details, for your mothers' and siblings' sakes."

"Alright dad" Selri tells you.

"We'll try" Collie promises.

You grab the two of them and teleport to Mars using instant transmission. Collie leans against you on arrival and Selri falls to the ground, sitting and looking around. Your younger children are napping, while the older kids and the adults are standing around talking. Most of them look towards you when you appear, though Bulma and Spina are busy trying to calm down Chi Chi, who keeps looking at Fita's parents with a frightened expression.

I personally feel that I like Fita the most, although when it comes to children it feels a little wrong to play favorites
>>

>>
>>29729525
You tell Fita's parents to see if the twins are wounded. They approach and examine them for several minutes.

"They have each lost a lot of blood" the male says. "They also suffer from internal injuries."

"Selri's right leg is shattered" the female tells you. "They both require medical attention."

"They will be alright" the female assures you. "Rest easy."

With that, the pair pick up the twins and gently carry them away. A few moments later, a floating black ball enters the room. It slowly floats towards you, and suddenly, a blue light shines from it onto you.

"Identity confirmed" it declares. "Greetings, Lord Frank. I am MGS-07. I have been sent by Lord Arey."

He leads you down a series of hallways, before eventually you reach a small room containing two beds, Arey, and Nail.

"If you require anything else, please, do not hesitate to ask" MSG-07 says before departing.

Nail shuts the door as soon as the floating ball leaves, and Arey rises from his bed.

"Welcome" Arey greets. "I have called you here with important news. I have completed the Dragon Balls."

"Great, can they be used immediately?" you ask.

He nods "Yes, they can."

"Do you know what their limitations are?" you ask.

"Well, for one thing, they take one Martian year to recharge" he informs you. "This is equal to roughly two Earth years. One advantage to this long recharge time, is that the Dragon can grant multiple, powerful wishes. You can make up to four wishes on this Dragon, including wishing large groups of people back. However, the Dragon can not kill, nor can it transport someone against their will, force someone to fall in love, or revive anybody who has been dead for more than one Martian year, though it can revive people as many times as necessary."

I think it would be wiser to wait until the dust settles on this 16 thing before using the Mars dragon for the first time. We're less than a week of concerted training away from being able to squash 16 like a bug.

Gather Salta, Spina, Fita, Vegeta, 17, and 18. Let's take them back down to the Lookout and start group training in the Red Room again, but leave at least one lookout at all times to keep track of 16 with one of the advanced scouters.

If 16 makes a move towards the lookout, we can split using IT. If we make it to the end of each day, we can travel back to Mars to rest and recover.

The fact that he hasn't made a move on the Lookout makes me nervous.
>>
>>29735778
this is a good plan for training
>>
>>29735778
He doesn't know where the lookout is.
>>
>>29735776
We upped our PL by 3 million in one day. At that rate, we'll be at 39 million in two more days. That translates to 5.85 billion at SKKx3, meaning we'd have about half the advantage we had on 18 in our rematch. If we got a third day of hard training in, that increases to a 1.3 billion advantage over 16's current power.

We can win, we feel great, we can do this.
>>
>>29735827
Which strikes me as odd, given that the androids are programmed to sense Ki, and we peaked at just shy of his own power when fighting 18.

It really reinforces my thought that it was a programming error, that in his mind the Lookout isn't a part of Earth, so it's not his concern.

really this rate of training is damn stupid.
>>29735717
Somnius, we should be getting power increases for introducing new stresses like more Gs, new opponents, lifting heavier weights, learning new techniques, or finding artifacts.
i think it's stupid that we just automatically go up in power just because we did some pushups and sit ups or whatever our training is right now. i can't comprehend how we could push ourselves into exhaustion in a normal gravity environment without battling a foe in 'to the death' conditions. Holding back even in the slightest will mean we didn't try hard enough to improve. just think of all the things the characters had to do and go through to get more powerful... normal training go them a little stronger, but it was really slow.

You use your Instant Transmission to teleport back to Kami's Lookout, going to see if Nappa is finished training. You sense that he is still in the Red Room. Not surprising. After all, you only left a few minutes ago. You suddenly notice Kami emerging from the main building. He walks up to you and speaks.

"You may be interested to know what has occurred on Earth" Kami tells you. "Every city and town has been destroyed. Save a few scattered homes and small villages in the wilderness, everything is gone. Mankind is nearly extinct, only a few hundred humans yet live on Earth."

We can do it if we bring friends. Early on, we were completely outmatched against another saiyan, Carros, but Salta and Spina were there, and they evened the odds despite being weaker than we were at the time. We can win if we bring the Androids and Vegeta.

And given that 18 was giving us a hell of a time despite our slight EDGE on her power-wise, taking a fighter any weaker than 16 is will be disastrous.

No, we don't. Us fighting 16 now leaves us at a slight power disadvantage, against a machine that doesn't lose energy during a fight. It ends with us having to drop out of kaioken and getting annihilated, along with anyone else we take with us.

To do this, we need to build our base power by at least 2 million or so, with more being preferable. Our advantage is that we can spike our power higher, so we need to ensure that the SKKx3 carries us far enough beyond 16 to finish the job quickly.

You decide that physical training simply isn't the answer anymore, and decide to adopt a strategy similar to that you used to master your Super Saiyan form in Super Saiyan 2. You meditate while in the form, and attempt to sustain it as long as possible. Almost immediately, you encounter road blocks. Your meditation does not work well since the mental effects of the form make focusing extremely difficult. In addition, it is far more taxing on you physically than your normal Super Saiyan form ever was. You're able to maintain Super Saiyan 2 only for about an hour, and the meditation far less than that. You soon fall back with exhaustion, reverting to your normal form.

we should take naps in between. rest is important. meditate in ssj2 then sleep, repeat until we are hungry. a good nap can improve mental clarity and alacrity real well.

She reaches down and helps you to your feet. "I've really got nothing better to do" she tells you. "As interesting as the idea of being on another planet is, there isn't much to do here. Let's walk, and you can tell me."

If we do show her, the memories we should focus on are our earliest memories of working for the PTO, basically as a child soldier, then some memories of being with Salta's crew, then Vegeta being destroyed, meeting Fita, watching Salta die, watching Fita die, then bringing both back, killing Frieza, Cooler, and Cold, and finishing with a nice moment with our family or something like that.

Pretty much this.

We should offer the psychic slide show as an option, thought I doubt she would be comfortable with that. Just tell her like a normal person. Well as normal as a psychic ape-man from space can be.
>>
>>29738285
Guess she doesn't want to see it.
"Saiyans used to shoot their young at planets the Planet Trade Organization wanted to conquer. For most of my young life, that's what I did: conquer planets. That's when I met Salta and Spina. Then the alien we worked for wiped out most of our race."

"We wandered a while, picked up Fita along the way... strange, back then there was literally no trust there. And eventually, my own foolishness got Salta killed. We came to Earth to use the Dragon Balls, and I've spent every day since then with my family, and trying to keep the first planet that welcomed us safe."

The two of you take a walk, and you explain in full detail the history of the Saiyan race, and your own experiences. Your time serving the PTO in a team lead by Salta, your escape from the destruction of your homeworld. Roaming the galaxy, your adventures, your arrival on Earth, and all of the events leading up to when you met her and 17. She listens intently, maintaining a stoic expression through most of it, occasionally interrupting to ask a question. When you are finishes, she says nothing for several moments.

"You've certainly come a long way" she comments. "You know, your background isn't so different from mine and 17's. And if you could change so much and be happy despite everything, well, there's something comforting in that for people like me and 17."

She gives you a warm smile. "You have. You've been a great friend to both of us, thank you."

this. plus our standing with 18

>>
>>29738742
I've suggested it could be oversight by the bitch that reprogrammed him. If she didn't include the Lookout in his orders, possibly because she was unaware it existed, attacking it exceeds his programming.
>>
>>29738763
I think so, but we'll have to chip away at it for a while. Not something we should be focusing on right now.
>>
>>29738742
It can't be found by anyone Kami does not want to find it

35 million, you're at full strength, pretty much everyone is fine with you, though the lack of action is getting to Nappa. This version of Vegeta is a bit smarter than in the show, he's not going to rush into a battle with 16 unless he's sure he has a chance.
>>29738782
You're in a good place with her. She sees you as her closest friend besides her brother.
>>
>>29738844
So I take it Vegeta's hitting the point of diminishing returns as well?
>>
>>29738844
I still don't want us waifuing her. We have enough goddamn waifus. It's just narratively bad.
>>
>>29738844
a-are we permanently friendzoned?
>>
>>29738844
So Kami's strength isn't in direct application of force, but the abuse of plot?
>>
>>29738904
Yes. He makes sure he's friends with the strongest guys because they both know that if he stays alive, the Dragonballs continue to exist. The strong guys want them to exist so they can use them, so they fight for him.
>>
>>29738868
He's getting there, yes.

yes or no answer is fine

>>29739032

>Any more questions?

I feel we have room for one more waifu, but it shouldn't be 18. We need a female friend, maybe after 16 we can meet another female and she can be our waifu.
>>
>>29738887
Salta and Spina made sense. It's like your two hot coworkers kept telling you "not if you were the last man on Earth", and then suddenly you really ARE the last man on Earth. After a while of not really going anywhere, trust was established, and the relationship solidified. Fita made a certain amount of sense as well. We plucked her off an exploding planet over the objections of our party, built a solid foundation of trust (despite a lot of problems), and that relationship solidified as Fita watched Frank's reformation close-up.

18 could potentially go both ways. We basically turned her from the canon villain to a friend, and a close one at that, almost purely by good will. We've also saved her life, nearly dying in the process. So there's still a fairly good chance that things will just kind of fall into place for a fourth time.

Because there's a long-established precedent that Frank picks up family members like a Swiffer picks up dust.
>>
>>29739136
it would be nice to have a scientist girlfriend

Next update tomorrow between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM

>Any last questions before I go?
>>
>>29739530
If 18 ever starts to consider Frank as something more than a close friend, how obvious will it be on a scale of 1 through 10? 1 being we'd have to read her mind, 10 being surprise pelvis-shattering?
>>
>>29739598
4-7 probably
>>
So I see you decided that people can't find the lookout unless Kami wants them to in your story. Any reasoning behind this choice?
