>Recap

You and Vegeta discussed how to help the New Saiyan Empire grow. He soon left with Bulma, and you spoke with Fita's parents about preparing healing tanks for Huhn-tresh. They assured you the tanks would be ready within twenty four hours, and gave you the robot you requested for Korin. You delivered it to him, and he gave you a few senzu beans as thanks. You then proceeded to test your ability to move objects via Instant Transmission. After you were satisfied, you decided to visit Kami and continue your psychic training. You learned how to trigger visions, and what you saw was most disturbing.
>>
Kami rises to his feet, concerned etched into his features. He motions for you to stand as well, before turning and walking to his throne, taking a seat.

"Can you tell me more specifically what you saw?" he asks. "I have had visions myself. Perhaps one of us has seen things the other has missed."

"Three distinct sets of images. The first was a city in flames, with two figures. One with black hair and blue eyes, one with blonde hair and blue eyes. The sense of familiarity suggests 17 and 18, though the lack of context means they could have been attacking, or being attacked, or merely bystanders."

"The second was a fighter of massive power with gold, spiky hair and a golden aura. I got the sense that he was far from Earth, however, and I have no clear sense of his intent."

"The third was of a short, green alien, also far from Earth. The planet was practically one big storm. There was a temple, and deep beneath it was some sort of pink ball. The quantity of ki there was mind-boggling, but that was nothing compared to how foul it felt."
>>
>>29971620
Sure.
>>
>>29971714
>>29971620
You tell Kami in much greater detail what you saw. He looks more and more troubled with every word that exits your mouth, hunching in his throne and putting his head in his hands.

"I had seen some of those same visions" he tells you. "The city in flames, the ball beneath the Earth. This golden haired fighter on a far off world and a temple on another world are new to me. However, there are some things in the two visions we both had that you seem to have not seen. This is understandable, you are new at this, and performing remarkably well. But, let me show you some more."

He places a hand on your forehead, and you return to the visions. You see the city in flames once more, the flashes of blonde and black hair, the familiar icy blue eyes. But, now you hear laughter, two voices, one male and one female. One you recognize instantly, having heard that mocking laughter many times before. The female laughter is harder to place, but you soon figure out who that is as well. Doctor Gero and Doctor Gurba, laughing from whatever wretched abyss they dwell within now. Behind the icy blue eyes you soon see a pair of red eyes, and hear an unfamiliar, triumphant laugh.

The scene shifts to the ball beneath the surface of the Earth, where the small green alien examines it as if it is a precious jewel. At his side stands a towering, imposing figure with pointy ears, black hair, and a wicked grin. As you watch, the pink ball pulses with energy.

Kami removes his hand from your head, and the visions subside. "Now you have seen all that I have seen."

Um who is dr gurba?
>>
>>29972135
She was the one who tried to revive the Red Ribbon Army. She kidnapped 18, and woke Androids 13, 14, 15, and 16, as well as Androids 5 and 6

"So, what do you even do with information like this?" you ask. "One misstep and you could end up causing these things, or something even worse, to happen."

He sighs. "And that is the problem with psychic powers. You see glimpses of what can be, not things that must be. You must make a decision on how to approach things. Do you do nothing and perhaps let them happen? Or, do your attempts to stop them end up causing them? There is no way of knowing for certain, and if and how you address them if up to you. I generally wait and observe, taking action when I am more certain of things. Your way seems to be to prepare yourself as best you can and face what comes head on. I caution you not to assume anything based on what you have seen, and to keep an open mind. In time, things will likely become more clear."

Thats a good question. I know several people want some sort of fist weapon. While I see the merit in that, from what I understand a ki weapon isnt going to do much more than our normal attacks would, so it would make more sense to increase our range, by choosing a sword/mace/axe/polearm.

Frank learned how to use sabre-style weapons, and can release a kamehameha along the edge of the blade in something similar to the kienzan.

Yeah, I would agree with that. As far as 'fist' weapons go these seem like the best option. It just does not make any sense to go with a gauntlet only type. Which is why I think the Pata or Katar would be actually useful in a fight.

Actually I wonder if Frank could use a Pata and a Katar? It would essentially just be the same fighting 'style' as a sword and dagger. But I imagine that might be a little too much.

>>29982621

The cross-shaped yari would probably be fine in close quarters if the shaft is short enough, and the shaft itself will still be charged with ki, so it'd be good for defending.

Although I'd love to see a sword that could extend like the power pole, that's just me.
>>
>>29982909

A whip would only be as effective as a normal whip against someone of an equal power level. As a result, a whip, which is not very lethal pale in comparison to a sword or other bladed weapon.

>>29982636

>>
>>29983485
I still heavily favor the sword, but whatever. We can discuss it later.
>>
>>29983543
Well while double ended weapons like that look cool, the majority of the time they are severely impractical. Because of how polearms work you generally need to grip lower on the staff part. So having a blade there generally fucks you up. Something like >>29983485 only works because it occupies such a small part of the other end of the weapon. And even then, it might not be a good idea to make it capable of slashing, due to the possibility of maiming yourself.

>>29983553
Thats fine with me anon. Both swords and and polearms have something to offer and I think we may even be better off having a sword and glaive, for different situations.

>getting two weapons, which Huhn-Tresh's people consider sacred
There's a limit to how far we could push that.

Also, we can release energy from the weapon itself, so really any advantages a polearm would have in terms of spacing are moot. In fact, it would be interesting to ask why Huhn-Tresh still favors a polearm.
>>
>>29983790
lol yeah, I'm not saying it would be easy or anything, I'm just putting out ideas of what would be effective.

I think really though more than anything its going to come down to flavor.
Also a point, the glaive here>>29983485 is a little bigger than a claymore. So size wise I think its a good compromise, between a longsword which is 39-51 inches while a glaive was around 6-7 feet long in totally. What I'm suggesting isn't really going full polearm, since I think a weapon thats 7-16 ft long is not very useful against anything but cavalry.
