You lean back in the chair, waiting for the previews to start- the movie's been out for a few weeks so it isn't exactly a packed out. You kick your feet up on the empty seats in front of you. Popcorn and soda might've been nice, but after dinner you can do without it- more important to keep an eye on Miho while she's inebriated. She's proven unpredictable and you don't like the idea of coming back to see her in a drunken brawl or something.

For her part, Miho grabs out arm and slings it over her shoulders before laying her head into your shoulder- it's unexpectedly foreward but and you almost recoil in surprise. Really though, it feels sort of... natural. You smile warmly and leans your head over hers.

Very natural. Aside from the staticy feeling of your arm going to sleep.

In the few minutes before the previews start, the only really notable thing was an usher coming in and escorting some kids a few years younger than you from the theatre when they couldn't cough up their ticket stubs- amateurs sat right next to the emergency exit exactly where they'd be noticed.

Miho seems content to just rest her eyes and her head against you, but you get nervous when it's silent for too long.

If I remember correctly, she reacted poorly. During our first counter trolling of RIchards, We took her first kiss without realizing it, and Miho had a mini-freakout. After talking her out of the bathroom she had locked herself in, we managed to convince her we cared and that we were a couple, so it was ok. like I said... anything to keep going and get an edge for Finals.

I take frequent naps, usually the moment I get home from class.

The previews are all pretty boring. Not surprising considering this is a kids' movie- you're hardly going to get a first look at the new Die Hard sequal. The previews lack of anything interesting is at least balanced by their brevity- barely ten minutes go by before the oddly tribal chants as the camera pans over the blue-tinted Disney Castle.

And Miho is softly snoring through it- drunk or not you don't think she'd want to miss the movie.

So, you stretch a bit, doing what you can to jostle and move her head as it leans up against your chest and arm- it doesn't take long before the snooze is interrupted by a short, sleepy snort and a yawn as Miho wakes up in time for the first musical number. You look down at her an smile- "Good timing."

She blinks a bit before looking back and forth between you and the screen. "Oh? Oh. Sorry- must've fallen asleep..." She yawns again, readjusting to get a better look at the screen. "Your arm is very comfortable." Well, as far as compliments go, you'll take it.

The three of you begin devouring lunch. Yours tastes particularly good, even if it is room temperature, and... damn

You look down at what's left of your lunch “Robs not going to be happy about this”. It doesn't stop you though as you devour the rest, sauce dripping down your chin. You run your tongue around your lips to clean up
“Classy” Hamish says offhandedly

Wiping the rest off your chin with the back of your hand you reply “yeah well”, you don't actually have a comeback

Clapping your hands you announce that it's time to get back to it. Which you do, starting with reassembling the engine

The siren goes off as you begin piecing the engine back together. You've bolted the heads back on by the time the first shot rings out and are attempting to mount the Carburetor

“Hold this” you say handing the Carb to John

You check your phone “House looks good. Left some things it's kind of empty”

“Things for you to use?” you ponder on the meaning of this before motioning for the Carb

“Who was that?” he asks passing it to you

“Landlord”

You note Hamish has already finished replacing one of the Carbs on the manifold, and you hurry to affix the last 2-barrel. “Okay, lets get it back in”

With fast fingers the Crate is chained to the trolley and the 3 of you push it over the engine bay. “Hold on” Hamish orders “we need to realign it” he deftly muscles it around until the Fly Wheel aligns with the transmission

The engine is lowered into the mounts and restrained, the flywheel hooked to the transmission, hoses reattached, Engine Oil reservoir is refilled, and all the control rods are reattached. Hamish clambers into the Drivers hatch “Could you guys keep an eye on the exhaust when I start up”

You throw up a thumb before crossing your arms and watching the exhaust. Once again the engine roars into life, this time it settles down to a purr the exhaust is clear only giving off heat waves rather than smoke

Hamish looks at you, you respond by giving swinging your finger at your throat. The V12 gurgles out of life “still busted?”

“Oh, no, it's perfect, just saying you could turn off the engine”

“Right” he says rubbing his hands “I gotta take a leak”

“Yeah me too” you and John reply simultaneously

Hamish takes the keys out of the Buick and the three of you quickly make your way to the Saloon, cannon fire still ringing out. You can't help but mention this “match has been going on pretty long”

You look up “ah, guess that's that”

Making your way through the Saloon you note Rob sitting alone at the same table as before, you think about telling him you're here, but he's not going anywhere. You spot the men's toilet at the end of the bar and hurriedly move to it. You comment on the lemony freshness “smells pretty clean”

“Shit” you say standing in front of the urinal, trying to figure out how to make the shot

“What's up?” John asks looking straight ahead

You answer honestly “My dick is hard, I gotta lean on the wall so it doesn't come down on me”

“Thanks for the insight”

“You asked, oh there we go, fuck that feels good” you feel infinitely better. You're standing there for a good 30 seconds letting it all out, Rob and Hamish appear to have already washed there hands by the time you're done

You shake, careful not to get drops on your overalls, have a quick scratch and tie the sleeves back around your waist. You wash your hands in the basin, careful to lather up beforehand. Shaking excess droplets off your hands before wiping them on your legs

You look around. They're gone

You push through the door and head back over to where you last saw Rob. Well, that's where John and Hamish went

“What up boys” you say taking the last chair

“We saw you like thirty seconds ago” John replies

“Okay, what up Rob” you saying clicking at him

You smile trading looks with John “fuuuuark, you dog, getting in there already”

He responds with a blank look. Aight, he doesn't want to play along

You lean back in your chair “how'd the match go? Heard a lotta shooting”

“It was pretty exciting, they did a lot of moving and shooting, tons of close calls”

You nod and rub your chin “maybe I should have watched it”

“Might have picked up a few tricks” he says in agreement

You snicker

John interjects “I was talking to Hamish, you guys wanna see Expendables two?”

“Yeaaaa” Hamish joins you in Arnold appreciation

“Yeah well” you can't think of anything to say, so you resort to making faces

Movement at the door catches your eye. Looks like Ashely is back

“Who's car is in the private Hanger?” she shouts through the Saloon “you gotta move that thing”

You stand

“It's your car” she has a look of disgust on her face “I should have known”

“Uh no, it's his car” you say promptly while pointing to Hamish

You clap your hands together before pushing past her “well, still got some stuff to do in the Hanger”

You didn't ask your boys to follow you, but they do anyway. Probably because of the rest of the Patrons expecting some entertainment

“What's up” you say clicking your fingers and shooting a smile to the foxy Red head and a cute Brunette standing next to the Buick

The Brunette answers first, her voice, not as smooth as Ashley's, is still easy to get lost in “uhm, is this your car?”

“No”

“Do you know who's it is?”

Your Driver walks in with the rest of your boys in tow. And Ashley. “It's his” you say pointing at Hamish

“Oh! Hello!” she says turning into a giggily schoolgirl at the sight of Hamish

You throw him a sly grin that says everything. Jungle Fever

“So, you're part of Ashley's crew” you say turning to the red head

“Kate, inventory our ammunition!” you turn to find the source of those orders. It's Ashley. She's giving you the stink eye

You ignore her stare, there's work to be done

While Hamish moves the Buick further into the hanger you grab a garbage bag off the Tarp and the bag of kitty litter. You quickly check to make sure there are no metal shavings in the Oil before dumping the kitty litter into the bucket, carefully shaking it to shift around the grains

As soon as the oil has been soaked up you place the garbage bag over the moth, and flip that bitch upside down. There's a wet smack as the litter falls out and into the bottom of the bag. That done you tie it up and throw it into the back of the Buick

You look around. Hamish has that Brunette trying to start a conversation with him while he closes the engine deck up, it looks pretty heavy considering how much his muscles are straining against his shirt, yep, that girl certainly noticed. John and Rob are chatting with Ashley next to the Buick. Your scan brings you to the doors of the hanger where the T-34 is now crawling towards you

You step out of the way, acrid fumes from the Diesel engine engulf your face “jesus christ” you cough

“Hey Ashley” you shout over to her “you should service your tank”

She looks at you. She returns to her conversation without saying anything

You walk back over to Hamish, looks like he's done with the Resevoir and is now being accosted by that Brunette

It's time to intervene “how's Jessie?”

He perks up “Oh, she's great, I'm taking her as my Co-Driver tomorrow”

You nod “you going for second?”

He purses his lips before responding “going for first, but second isn't too bad, especially with Ray's Evo, you gonna come and watch?”

You shake your head “nah, I got work tomorrow”

“Are you guys talking about racing, with like cars?” the Brunette asks

“yeah”

“That's so cool” she says excitedly “is Jessie your sister”

You nip it in the bud “it's his girl”

“Oh, that's nice” she responds, her face becomes difficult to read but you're pretty sure she's still going to try “do you go to school around here?”
You excuse yourself from the conversation
