You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

You yawn as you get yourself clothed today. Kitten went home to her dorm last night so that left you alone to sleep. It’s still as cold as yesterday, which means it’s time for your school greatcoat and the school scarf. Your only options mind you but they weren’t that bad.

You look in a mirror. Okay, this coat makes you look a bit fat, but it’s not that bad. All coats do that.

There’s a knock at your door, probably Nancy. Oh well, you’ve gotten breakfast out of the way. You walk over to the door and open it up-

“SURPRISE!” Your little sister, Griselda Pool in her muddy blonde hair, tan dufflecoat, leather gloved, grey flat cap, glory.

… ah shit

“Happy to see me?” she says, grinning and eager to hear your response.

Oh yeah guys, we should really consider postponing the Saunders Match until Wednesday. Unless you want to use the Chi-ha for the match.
>>

Schteel, can you clarify what the upper limit is for tanks in each round of the tournament? There was some confusion about that after last thread. It would be great to know how we should prioritize getting crews together.

To clarify, the limits for each match go like this.

10 - Round of 64
10 - Round of 32
15 - Round of 16
15 - Quarterfinals
20 - Semifinals
20 - Finals
>>
>>30102419
I think the date's fine where it is. We want the Rifles to get used to their T-34 soon, right? What better way then in a casual match? They aren't completely unfamiliar with it like the Poles with their Hellcat.

You pick up Griselda in a great hug, spinning around and laughing. “I am! Haha!” You put her down, grinning. “What are you even doing here, Griselda?”

Griselda dusts herself off, giggling a bit. “Oh, we have a project in school. The teacher wants us to study a particular aspect of high school and I figured what better way to do it than to just come and visit and make the popular girls really jealous of me!”

“They must be so jealous.”

“They’re so jealous, they jiggle when they walk,” she says. You two of you laugh at that. You look over to see your staff and Kitten coming up the stairs to you. Griselda gasps, opening her arms out wide. “KITTEN!”

Kitten’s eyes widen in surprise. “Grisel-“ She’s immediately tackled to the ground by Griselda.

Lisa and Nancy look confused.

The thing is we won't be able to assign the tank until the next practice. So their stuck with the Chi-ha.

Not to mention it's the last time they used that tank it was a SU-76 is I recall and while the controls may be similar, will still have a different feel then the Chi-ha, Su-76, and the Bt-42.

Not to mention Threater Tech crew might be interested after the play so we can recruit and put them in a tank and practice with Saunders
>>

SU-122 actually, which was directly converted to the current T-34 configuration due to their request of wanting a turreted tank.
>>

Yeah, that. In which they got the Chi-ha 120mm in which is not very good and no one wanted to improve it since it was only temporary.

I remember now, sorry for the mistake.

Griselda rubs her cheek against Kitten’s. “Oh, Kitten! It’s been so long!” She stands her back up and pecks Kitten on the cheek.

Kitten smiles. “Oh, yeah, it’s really been some time. Griselda. What are you doing here?”

“Oh, I’ll take any excuse to visit an Academyship, Kitten!” She looks over at the rest of your staff. She offers her hand, smiling politely. “I’m Griselda, Gertrude’s younger sister.”

Nancy smiles, shaking her hand. “Nancy Whitmore, Sophomore Vice President.”

Lisa shakes Griselda’s hand next. “Lisa Cowell. Treasurer.”

Ramirez shakes her hand last. “Ramirez, Secretary.”

Griselda looks over at you. “Are these your crewmembers?”

You nod. “Best I can ask for. How about we all get to school?”

The six of you head down the stairs and onto the street.

>>
>>30102714
The Stuart is not a bad Tank what everyone kept arguing last thread (from what I can tell) is that the Hellcat was more suited for Polish team since they desired either high speed or heavy power.

They got both with the Hellcat.

The Stuart is a good tank for it's role as a scout
>>
>>30102669
>>30102697

Supporting.
>>
>>30102756

Which no one disputed, it's just that now we need to work on being a less crappy commander, we need to actually use our scouts as scouts.
>>
>>30102756

The Hellcat is better, because it's both faster and only somewhat (mainly lengthwise) larger than the stuart, it could easily fill the scouting role. It is demonstrably inferior to the Hellcat, the only advantage it could claim is that it's a bit smaller. Rather have the Sherman than the goddamn Stuart.
>>

We did okay during the Ace match, and the match with Willaim Adams their was no need for scouts but rather taking a certain point and holding it.

I won't argue against that, though since it's a open top turret, it might be slightly more easier to take out as well.

If I recall Perrine said that damage calculations still consider the Hellcat to be open top and thus more slightly more easier to take out.

True, but Rommel had spent a good 10 years as a infantry officer, then in the 20s and 30 wrote his tactics that were used on tanks though originally about Infantry, her was finally able to use his skills in the late 30s and early 40s and been in many battles in France and North Africa.

Trude had two months of Tankery under her belt and read a shelf worth of books.

Rommel Tier is very far away
>>
>>30102910
First, the HE shell need to actually hit the open-topped turret, by which point you might as well use an AP shell. HE round aren't as powerful as you seem to think they are (unless you're dealing with shit like the 152, at which point you're screwed anyway because your tracks are out).

Second, good luck hitting it on the top turret instead of aiming for somewhere on the thinly armored hull. An HE actually being used against the Hellcat as opposed to a conventional AP round makes no sense unless you're somehow run out of AP ammo or dealing with a howitzer, in which case they're more likely to take out your tracks, which is still a death sentence for both tanks.
>>
>>30102940
Okay, I'm getting pretty sick of your attitude, guy. What exactly do you want us to do about it? What do you want us to do to deal with our poor tactical acumen? We're trying our best! And improving our lineup is part of how we're covering for it.

“Can we do it on the 24th?”

“Thursday the 24th, sure! That’s actually a couple of days before your match with Christie, that’s daring of you!”

“… sure it is. That’s my plan.”

“It isn’t, is it?”

“No, but hey.”

“Anyway, will do. I’ll sight us a nice battlefield and let you know a few days ahead. Like I said, I’ll arrange for transport too.”

“Thanks, Kay.”

“And let me know if you want to reschedule or cancel altogether. I’m flexible you know!”

You say goodbye then hang up. Griselda says, “Wow! Kay from Saunders High School! How do you know her?”

You shrug. “I saved a Sherman for her. Well, most of a Sherman. It’s sitting in our hangar.”

Griselda whistles. “Groovy!”

At that, you receive an email. You decide to quickly skim it.

This is a general message to all Student Council Staff. Due to your excellent performance academically and for putting on a good example for other students to follow, you will be given 10 Vacation Days.

Spend them wisely. If you wish to earn more, please see the Attendance office.

Keep up the good work!

“OH MY GOD LOOK AT THIS!” She looks at you, surprised. “It’s only been two months! Where did you get all these tanks!?”

You say, “Hard work and dedication.”

Griselda trots up the line. “I’m guessing the M4A1E8’s yours. And there’s the Churchill, a Stuart, a KV-85, a Hellcat… Is that a King Tiger with the original production Porsche turret?”

You nod. “Yeah.”

She rubs a hand on the Zimmerit pasted frontal hull. “Where did you get it!?”

“It was on sale,” you say simply.

“Wow! It’s- Wow! I mean-“ She puffs her cheeks, trying to find words for it. “This is one of the most famous heavy tanks ever produced! I’ve only seen this at NOVA Tank Museum but seeing it here- I mean.”

“Form words, Griselda, it’s not difficult,” you say as you place your hand on her shoulder. “Admittedly, I don’t really know much about the King Tiger other than it being a heavy tank.”

“Who’s running it?”

“A load of Girl Scouts. They’re inexperienced mind you, but hopefully I can whip them into shape. Especially with our match with Christie Tech so soon.”

Griselda nods. “I see you haven’t gotten the L/48 gun. It’s a marginal difference I suppose. But hell, the Panzer IV is an excellent tank.”

You nod. “And we’ve also got the StuG III and the Sentinel. They’re also piloted by some of our newer crews, the Merchant kids and the History club.”

Griselda asks you, “Are the History Club kids just as snobby as mine?”

“Oh, they’re not that snobby.”

You both walk back to the warehouse entrance. You gesture towards all the tanks, sweeping them with your arm. “And that’s the LGA Line up.”

You say, “Welcome to the campus!”

The campus grounds are more bustling than a Popeye’s on Black History Month. Griselda looks incredibly out of her element. You wrap your arm around her and start pointing out the various buildings.

“That big building over there is the English Department, that one over there is Math, Science, and Tech, and over there we have General Studies for stuff like History. And over there is the Electives building.”

Griselda asks you, “So where’s the Administration stuff?”

You say, “That’s in the Command Tower.”

“Really?” She looks over at the Command Tower, towering like a tower right over the campus. “That’s something! I mean, it’s huge! But it’s really something!”

You nod. “Indeed! And-“ Your stomach growls. “It’s time for lunch. I can set my watch to that.”

You decide to make a walk back to the dorms to Kitten’s place. It’s not that far of a walk thankfully since the two of you decide to catch up on things.

“… so Eugene’s hot?”

You nod. “Caught me off guard, really. But he’s got a girlfriend now and unfortunately guys who are currently in a monogamous relationship are not attractive to me. He’s still nice though.”

Griselda nods. “Cool.”

“You get a boyfriend yet?”

Griselda shrugs, blushing a little. “Oh, there’s a nice boy I walk home with but I get the suspicion he only really wants me for sex. You ever get that?”

“This is a Girls Academy. All the time.”

Both of you laugh as you knock on the door. Kitten opens up the door, greeting you all. “Hey there, Kitten,” says Griselda.

Kitten says, “Hey you two. Where we going to have lunch?”

Basically, it's saying what's on your subconscious instead of what you meant to say. I was joking about Gertrude and Kitten's illicit (alleged) lesbian relationship, and by saying "eat out Kitten" instead of "eat out WITH Kitten," it was a joke on the allegation that Gertrude wants to hop on the /u/ boat with Kitten.

Then, further working the joke by saying "Freudian penis" while "meaning" "Freudian slip."

You spend the rest of your walk back to the campus catching up. Kitten and Griselda talk a bunch of shit about the World of Tanks and War Thunder metagame while you simply lead them on, not really understanding what the hell they’re saying.

At least until Griselda says, “Oh, I’m almost forgot!” She reaches into her backpack and pulls out a wrapped gift. “Here, Kitten! Happy Birthday!”

Oshit is it-

“It’s not my birthday, Griselda,” says Kitten as she takes the gift. It’s boxy, definitely could be anything.

Griselda wags her finger. “Oh, when am I going to be visiting again? Your birthday’s on the 27th after all. Right, Gertude?”

You nod. “Yeah!” You sigh in relief. You hadn’t forgotten Kitten’s birthday. Though you should probably set something up for that.

> SUBQUEST UNLOCKED
> Unfortunately, the song is copyrighted.
> Set up and celebrate Kitten’s birthday

Griselda says, “You can open it now if you want to.”

Kitten says, “I’ll do it later.”

You arrive in good time at the cafeteria. Smells like the Sophomore lunch. You all get your lunches of chicken salads with some sliced strawberries, then sit on down next to your staff.

“Hey, President! Nice to see you!” says Nancy.

As your girls begin talking about LGA and describing the experience to Griselda, you start on a new book of yours. You purchased this one way back in the day and yet you’ve only now just started to get into it. It’s the memoirs (fictional or otherwise, you can’t tell) of an SU-76M crewman on the Eastern Front of World War II.

> Bare Arsed Ferdinand: Progress: 10%

Quite a quirky narrator. Seems to love repetition as well.

Griselda says, “I’m still so excited to attend LGA next year!”

You nod. You can just imagine what Griselda will do to get between you and Kitten. That’ll be fun.

Kitten asks her, “What do you need good luck for?”

“Oh just that a nice boy will ask me out on a date!” Griselda slaps her hands on her cheeks, giggling. “I know it’s hopeless considering I’m a total nerd but a girl can dream can’t she?”

You say, “In your case it is hopeless, Griselda.”

Michelle says, “Well, it’s lovely to hear that you want to attend LGA. You going to go into the Tankery program?”

Griselda nods violently. “Oh, of course! I know all kinds of things about tanks! Tanks this, tanks that-“

Kate snaps her finger. “POP QUIZ! DATE OF THE M45 PERSHING INTRODUCTION!”

Griselda shouts, “JULY 1945!”

Joanna shouts, “TOP CROSS COUNTRY SPEED OF THE PANZER III AUSF N!”

“20 KILOMETERS AN HOUR!”

Michelle shouts, “MAIN ARMAMENT OF THE PANZER II AUSF. J!”

“20mm KWK 38 L/55!”

The three Aces all step back a bit, pensive. They look over at Wendy and Octavia. Wendy says, “What?”

Buchalter says, “That’s quite the geekiness here.”

Kate says, “Regardless. They’re correct. You do know your shit.” Griselda beams, stars practically shining in her eyes. Kate says, “Anyway, we oughta head to lunch. Feel free to join us, eh?”

However, you do show Griselda a few things like the insides of the various Department buildings. You note that the Medical building is staffed mostly by Naval Studies Medical students.

“Think you’re going into Naval Studies, Griselda?”

Griselda shakes her head. “Nah, not much of a fan of that. I’m a fan of free education but having to take an eight hour shift on top of it? Don’t think I’d survive.”

Griselda asks you, “What’s Kitten’s role?”

You say, “I’ve completely forgotten but I’m sure it’ll come to me later.”

Octavia comes over to you. “Hey, Director. Hey, Griselda.”

“So, we dress rehearsing?” you ask.

“Well,” Octavia shrugs. “If you suppose. I’ve pretty much ironed out everything you wanted. This is now a satirical comedy of sorts.”

Griselda asks, “What play are you doing?”

“Red Dawn: The Musical.”

“That piece of shit?” asks Griselda.

You nod. “Precisely why it’s now a comedy.”

Octavia nods. “We’re just getting set up. Feel free to take a look around.”

As you, Griselda, and Octavia walk around as the Theatre Tech kids set everything up for rehearsals, you talk to her about your dream. “So, Octavia. I had this wild dream some nights ago, and I got some weird advice from the Muse of Comedy.”

Octavia looks at you like you just grew a second head. “Really? What did she tell you?”

“That anything is funny if you say it right.”

Octavia nods. “I suppose that’s neat advice. I’ll pass that onto the actors. We’ve been having some trouble with comedic timing if I’ll be honest. So what do you mean by anything is funny if you say it right?”

“Penis.”

Octavia covers her mouth, chortling. “Okay, hehe. You got me there.”

You smile smugly. “I try.”

Griselda gasps. “Is that a T-34?” You all look over at the T-34, which has been styled out to look like one of the Soviet tanks. Probably meant for the Colonel’s death scene.

Octavia nods. “Theatre Tech spent a lot of nights working on it. Don’t worry, Gertrude. Once the play’s done, we’ll return it immediately.”

You nod. “Thanks, Octavia.”

You and Griselda sit down in the audience. Intent seeing this rehearsal played out. The Freshmen stand just below the stage, quickly making sure their instruments are tuned correctly. You quickly tell Griselda that those Freshmen are in command of the Churchill tank.

“Neato,” she says.

You turn to the stage and shout, “Right! Ready when you are.”

Tara plucks her banjo a bit, an idle tune to signal the curtain call.

All things considered, that play actually left you and Griselda in stitches. Sure, the ending actually got quite dramatic, but you think that’s an essential part of the satire, especially since it still contained a few clever jokes here and there.

As the actors come out to practice taking their bow, you and Griselda give a very light standing ovation to them.

Octavia walks out on stage, smiling. She looks over at you. “So, what do you think, Gertrude?”

All the actors and theatre tech girls nod and chatter excitedly.

Octavia says, “Alright, that ends today’s rehearsals. You all can go home. Remember, tomorrow we’ve got a dress rehearsal at 7 O’Clock sharp. If you ain’t there, I will find you and I will kill you.”

She nods. “Sure.”

You take Kitten’s skirt and then lift it up her legs, then zip it up for her. Nobody seems to be paying it any mind. These are mostly theatre tech kids and a few of your crewmembers. They’re probably used to this stuff.

“So, Kitten,” you say. “Friday is the day of the play. Feeling confident?”

Kitten asks, “And if they do?”

You say, “Doesn’t matter, Kitten. The thing about theatre is that you’ve already proven yourself to be way more confident than all of them. Trust me.”

You meet Octavia and Griselda at the door. Octavia says, “I know you might think you haven’t done a lot for us, but really, thank you. Your funding and your generous loan of that tank has really saved this play for us.”

You nod. “Don’t worry about it, Octavia. I’m just a good Samaritan.”

You sigh. You honestly can’t make heads or tails of anything their Tankery Classic team does consistently. Hell, you just watched the practice session where they used the SU-14-2 as a frontline assault gun. Though, if there’s one thing you can determine at least, it’s that the AVRE seems to have to close to stupidly close range to even use its petard mortar. Perrine must like to work with plans on the fly.

You yawn as you enter your dorm. Time to get cooking. You set down your backpack and throw off your coat, scarf, and blazer. You then roll up your sleeves and start setting up the kitchen counter ready for-

“Griselda, why do you have that fire extinguisher?”

Griselda holds the dorm room’s small but potent emergency fire extinguisher, apparently neutral to everything. “Well, you’re cooking aren’t you?”

Kitten says as she lies on your bed, laptop on her lap, “Gertrude’s actually learned how to cook properly, Griselda. You don’t need it.”

Griselda looks at you, shocked. “Seriously? When did you learn to cook?”

“You learn lots of things on LGA,” you say, smirking. “Now sit back and relax. Let’s just go with a nice simple plate of spaghetti, yeah?”

Griselda looks at you, skeptically. You don’t blame her. The last time you tried to cook something at your house in D.C. you quite literally nearly brought the house down. Dad was not amused.

Regardless, you get through cooking your spaghetti in good time under Griselda’s curious watchful eye. Soon, you hand her a plate of piping hot spaghetti, handing one to Kitten and saving one for yourself as well.

Griselda shyly slurps up a noodle, then says, “Wow, this is good!” She immediately begins digging in.

“Table manners, Griselda.”

Surprise attack and attacking their supply and airfields.

Also most people were in a armastice, people spend less money on military so it was a perfect time for Germany who was trying to adopt every new tactic.

France loss because they invested their resources wrong like on the Magionet line
>>
>>30108553
>Surprise attack
Germany and France were at war since 1939 but nothing happened till 1940. They even called it the phoney war it was so boring.

France still had better tanks as well. One reason France lost was crappy tank doctrine. Whether better tank doctrine would have saved them, I don't know. I can say the way they used their tanks was stupid compared to the Germans.

You check out that KV-1, which appears to have a longer barrel than most. It actually looks quite familiar.

Griselda says, “That’s the KwK L/43 75mm gun. Some examples that the Germans captured were fitted with those along with proper cupolas.”

You nod. “Thanks, Griselda. That was confusing me a little.”

Sorry, The surprise attack was on Poland.

I remember the Phony War, sorry I wasn't more specific.

In either case, France did spend it's limited resources wrong. Though they did have some of the better tanks in the early 40s, most of them we're still WW1 Ft-17 and other variants that stem off from that.

Also their doctrine sucked which I agreed but that stemmed from the fact it was due to their experience back in the first world war

O yeah, I'm saying our line up is better but I'm not thinking we're better. Perrine has Tankery experience and depending on the terrain, she can adapt pretty quickly, and won't underestimate us like Willaim Admas did.

“Actually, I’d like to see it too, Kitten.”

Kitten says, “But it’s not my birthday, you don’t open presents early. That’s like opening presents early before Christmas.”

Griselda says, “You’re not a kid anymore, Kitten. You’re on an Academyship! Just go with it, yeah?”

Kitten looks at you, thinking. You nod. Kitten sighs, then pulls out the present and puts it on her lap. The wrapping paper is neat and well-done. Definitely not Griselda’s work, probably Dad’s. Kitten carefully tries to pull the tape off so she doesn’t tear the wrapping paper.

Griselda shouts, “Hurry up!”

“I want to save the wrapping paper!” says Kitten.

“What are you going to use wrapping paper for anyway!?” says Griselda. “Go! Allez, allez or however you say it in French!”

Kitten rolls her eyes then simply tears the wrapping paper off to reveal…

Kitten lifts up the gift. “A Bandaged Bear.”

Griselda nods, grinning warmly. “I made it at the local Build-a-Bear, check the tag.”

Kitten checks the tag hanging off the ear. This bear has an eyepatch, a bandage over the nose, an arm in a cast, and bandaged wrapped around the head. Kitten reads off the tag, “To the greatest friend of our family. You sure can take a beating, so don’t let yourself get lost.” Kitten blinks, smiling. She opens her arms wide, a tear coming out of the corner of her eye. “Oh come here, Griselda!”

Griselda hugs Kitten deeply, the both of them cheering and guffawing with glee. You smile, simply letting them have their moment.

You’re still having trouble trying to figure out what kind of doctrine or overall strategy their team follows. Hell, you’re pretty sure they had more kinds of tanks than this. Then again, if you recall they did use a lot of the Excelsior tank pilots as platforms for 240mm guns.

Kitten and Griselda sit next to each other, Griselda leaning on Kitten’s shoulder. Kitten’s Bandaged Bear is cuddled by her like a child. You say, “Two of you best friends forever?”

Griselda nods. “Seems like it.” She tugs on Kitten’s cheek, and Kitten cheekily slaps her hand away. She checks the time. “Oh boy. I better go catch my flight.”

Kitten frowns. “Oh? You’re not staying?”

“Nah, sorry Kitten.” Griselda starts packing her stuff up.

“Want us to take you to the airport?” you ask.

Griselda shakes her head and says, “Nah, it’s fine. Wouldn’t want you doting on me.” She opens up her arms. “Hugs?”

You stand up and then hug her like a good sister. You then kiss her on the cheek as a farewell. Kitten also stands up then hugs her. “Thanks, Griselda.” She then kisses her on the cheek.

You open up tour textbook and start studying. You’re going to have to play catch up for those quizzes considering you took a vacation day today. Oh well, they’ll be pushovers as long as you study frequently. Hell, it might even get you a few more vacation days.

Kitten meanwhile defaults to playing a game on her laptop, Men of War you think it is. She desperately types in more messages to her teammate in her 2v2. On a hunch, you ask, “Are you playing with Nancy?”

Kitten nods. “Yes. Bless her heart, she means well, but damn she’s so bad at this game.”

“She’ll learn,” you say.

You spend the next hour or two studying your butt off. Surprisingly enough, you find yourself feeling just slightly smarter. Studying does wonders you suppose. You put the textbooks back and then head over to the bathroom to freshen up for bed.

Goodness, Griselda coming out of nowhere to surprise you for the day. Mind you, it was a slow day. But hell, family’s family, always nice to see them.

Once you’ve gotten brushing your teeth, flossing and brushing your hair out of the way, you land on the bed.

Kitten stands up, folding her laptop and placing it in her backpack. The night is a cold mistress.

Say, what does Decu or Larro use to draw their stuff anyway?
I remember Hero Quest being ran on a tablet, but I can't figure out which drawing/painting app it uses.

I've been working on stuff but it's far from done.

This, I don't mind scenes where we do cute things I guess, but the hicky thing kind of bothered me.

Lafayette Girls Academy is based out of Norfolk, Virginia. This is an American school.

>>30110622
1. Yes, you can buy tanks and sell them at whatever price you'd like to set.

2. No I haven't decided what to do with the Scout Car and the concept of Auxiliary vehicles yet.
>>
>>30110528
Gertrude's bi, but we like to pretend we're not gay because there'll be one hell of a shitstorm if we go full /u/ It's also more fun this way

>>30110588
Thanks for running today Schteel, and make sure to cover our necks this time
>>
>>30110659
Hmmmm, if we should make an investment in that.

Also isn't the Chi-ha a loan from the Nova Museum?

Also i thought that our sponsorship money will increase by winning matches?
>>
>>30110588
A rather meta-ish question but just how badly did we mess up/kick ass in our last battle? No you don't have to answer that.

If its not too much to ask another question, why'd you decide to start this quest?
>>

Just don't expect anything colored.

And ASIA forums have this Valentine skin contest, what do you think about giving Cupid some cameo?

Don't you mean that we act gay so that /u/ boaters won't get cranky?

I get that I guess but their are some things that kind of boggle or bother me that even if gay, straight, or bi you don't do in public or in front of others.

1. The Chi-Ha is yours to use as you see fit.

2. I'm not sure where I specifically said that Sponsors will increase their payout by winning matches, but I'll look into it. As for more sponsorships, those will come eventually.

>>30110711
1. I don't consider the players ever messing up. Whatever happens is an interesting story and I consider whatever you guys vote on to be the canon choice.

But as for kicking ass, I suppose you might've done a bit better.

2. I started this Quest because I was kind of disappointed with the direction GuPQ went. I won't comment further because I do happen to think BlackJack is a nice guy and openly criticizing his stuff in my own threads where he probably doesn't bother looking is in bad taste.

>>30110769
1. I was going to do the LGA logo myself, but if you're wondering or wanting to do it:

It's a Fleur-De-Lis on top of a triangle, similar to the American Armor divisions with the LGA colors of red, white, and blue.
>>
>>30110747
That was always my assumption.
Make your sacrifices so we avoid the 'homecoming' situation.

Speaking of which, isn't prom usually a sophmore-senior thing? I wasn't sure if LGA would do it differently, being an academyship after all.

>>30110816
I really don't want to sell the Chi-ha but I may be in the minority, and we need the tanks. Other then the Stuart we only have the Chi-ha and no extra income is coming soon.

2.

Oh, I thought one sponsor said so or it was the opposite in which he'll pull back our sponsorship if we lose. it was the one who we sold the GMC.

Will we ever see the M18 Scott or the Souma 40 as conversions available for purchase?
>>
>>30110956
If I find historical precedence for the M8 Scott having a rooftop, either official or improvised, I'll allow it.

As for the S40, as much as I want it, they only really existed as prototypes. I'm still considering it.
>>
>>30111003
From what i can dig up, it has been tested and was under production (through wikipedia and military factory)

It was just that only about 100 chassis were made by the time germany conquered France, but I think it they were still used as conquered war material.

Beisdes the S40 was basically a Souma with better armor, a widened hull, and increased speed right?

Did the hellcat had a improvised rooftop, I'm sure the Scott did probably during Italy to block out the sun or rain.

If so would attaching the 75mm M3 be possible to attach to a stuart, but we have to shortened the barrel
>>
>>30111003
German out of all the created teams and the ones of the show who are your favorites?

Do you think Anzio has a chance?
>>
>>30111116
I'll consider having the S40 around as a potential conversion then.

As for the Hellcat, improvised roofs were usually built to protect against airburst HE shells, same with other TDs like the Wolverine and the Jackson. I'm sure they share that with the Scott as well.

As for attaching a 75mm M3, I assume you mean the Howitzer in which case, that'd totally be possible.

How is this?
>>
>>30111233
Tough question, I'm of the opinion that all teams are best teams. Admittedly, I haven't fully worked out all their rosters yet, but Kursk is my favorite so far out of my creations.

Out of the show, it's a very very tough choice. I go with either Saunders or Ooarai. Saunders because the M4 is one of my personal favorites and Ooarai because I like the very subtle underdog theme with their tanks.

As for Anzio having a chance, we'll see. I usually decide who advances at random.
>>
>>30111298

Now I want a match with Kursk.

Dem ISU-152s.
>>
>>30111233

>>30111327

>>
>>30111356

>>
>>30111373
Unless they could get multiple tanks on the Tiger's rear...no
>>
>>30111373
In theory, the Semovente 105/25 has a decent chance of taking it on.

From the rear or the sides at medium to close range mind you.

Still, a decent chance.
>>
>>30111373
Remember that Maus scene with Hetzer?

....yeah, i can't see other way.
>>
>>30111238
Do we have such a model in our shop? Or do we have to prepare one by using a regular 75mm M3

Also going through Walter Christie's Tank line isn't their LVT a 75mm howitzer so wouldn't that be open top as well? (I thought they had a 37mm the last time we saw them) Did they upgrade?

So sometime soon we'll see these choice in the The shop?

>>30111298

Kursk frightens me,

Oh I agree, I like Saunders as well but I was pissed during the early days when people we're arguing that the Sherman was a shitty tank and a bad command tank (seems like a lifetime ago)

Which reminds me why is the chasis conversion for the Jumbo cheaper then the conversion for the M4A1E8, we have more items attached to it but it hasn't decreased the price.

Will we ever meet Anzio? I don't know but I want to see tankettes?

For some strange reason.

Also if we had bought the M2 medium, was there any possible conversion for it like turning it into a grant or something?
>>
>>30111406

And if we decide to put Applique Armor on?
>>
>>30111423
1. Since you brought up that the LVT(A)5 does indeed have a Scott turret with a closed turret, I'll actually just add the Scott as a conversion tomorrow morning. I don't know what I was thinking.

2. As for why the Jumbo is cheaper than the M4A1E8, I'm not good at mathematics, economics, or updating my pastebins. But I suppose the issue is that since the Jumbo is based on the M4A3 and your Sherman has a cast hull, the cost would go to replacing the entire armor along with any specific lengthenings of the hull or adjustments of the engine block.

3. You do have a chance at meeting Anzio at some point, I'll figure it out later.

4. I don't think the M2 Medium was the chassis of choice for the M3 Lee, I'll do some more research on it though.

>>30111458
1. Well, a few inches does wonders.
>>
>>30111423
>Kursk frightens me,
It shouldn't. From what GS describes them as, they typically use ambushes to attack an enemy.
So you look at the map and think "If I had a bunch of TDs where would I put them", and then you don't go to those places.
Sure they might send some tanks out to harry you into the maw, but they'll be piecemeal compared to your forces, especially if you leave some tanks in overwatch
>>
>>30111641
Well I don't think things are nearly that clear cut. They might just try to bleed you dry.

A significant problem with Senshado matches is there's no time limit. They could bring extra rations then just camp all day long till you give up and go home.

So the M2 medium was a dead end?

Only reason I brought it up was when Rock Island Arsenal were making these tank stopped midway of the order to make Lee/Grant tanks, I could be wrong if it being a conversion of one.

I thought it was since the M2 Light tank was the predecessor of the Stuart in terms of design.

So no price drop for getting a jumbo?

Also if we equip the OF75mm onto the churchkill will we get the NAChurchill or the Mark something Churchill from the shop.

Will we ever see a Ft-17 or Tankettes on the shopping list? Will they be cheap?

Also isn't a Scott an artillery piece like the 120mm Chi-ha? Is it as bad as the Chi-ha?

Also Couldn't we convert a sherman chassis into a Grizzly tank?

and updated again
>>
>>30111914
1. Yes.

2. I'll think about a price drop for the Jumbo but you have to remember the stupid amount of armor plus the new turret they added for it. That's gonna cost something.

3. NA75 Churchills used the same gun as the Sherman along with some modifications to the turret IIRC. Attaching the QF 75 would discount it towards the Churchill VII. I'm looking into the Churchill XI LT which some anons were looking into as a potential upgrade.

4. Renault FT-17s and other tankettes usually had 2 man crews, I generally keep the minimum of crews at 3. Thus, tanks like those won't be available except maybe as a joke or something.

5. The Scott was an SPG based off the M5A1 Stuart chassis, similar to the 120mm Chi-Ha Gun tank. I wouldn't say it's as bad, but the 75mm is kind of underpowered and there's reason it was replaced with the M4 Sherman with the 105 in general assault gun duties.

6. I'll consider making the Grizzly tank a potential conversion.
>>
>>30112048
Did you really have any inspiration for any of the characters?
>>
>>30112048
Oh I see the only reason I added it was because when I was doing research a prototype of the Grant was basically attaching a gun on a M2 medium as a way to figure out how to attach a big gun on a tank, but I could see how different the designs might be

Of course, it's just that i was confused since we put a lot of thing onto our tanks and no sign of a pricedrop had occurred so a bit of confusion was had.

I heard the LT never existed though? Is it possible?

Oh okay, I was curious since the Ft-17 had one of the most conversion I had heard of on a tank.

Is the 75mm Howitzer better then the 37mm though? Are there any drawbacks for making this conversion?

Thank you, Strange enough I found that the Grizzly was a off set of the M4A1 tank, which could also house the 17 pounder. I still want the Jumbo though despite the temptation
>>
>>30112168
The characters actually came to me mid-thread way back in the first thread.

Gertrude was... actually exactly how /tg/ has portrayed her.

Kitten was based somewhat off of Howard Hughes along with taking some inspiration from various shy characters from all kinds of animes and cartoons. She was originally envisioned as a much bigger shut-in who would refuse to go to school period, would wrap her furniture in plastic and would wear a gasmask to school if you managed to convince her to go.

Lisa was very on the spot. I just went with "Treasurer" and thought, "What kind of person would make a smart treasurer?" Then I thought Spock with slight McCoy tendencies.

Nancy also was pretty much on the spot, but her character came a lot more naturally. I just went with the stereotype that all mormons are either nice or know how to play basketball.

Ramirez I literally just went, "Eh. Ramirez."

As for the various crews and other characters, they're all based off of some important aspect of World War II, right down to your starting tanks as well.
>>
>>30111914
I believe the M2 medium was a dead end before the Lee was even needed, and that the Lee's (new) chassis was the basis for the M4.
>>

GERTRUDE STRONK
>>
>>30112247
The M3 75mm Howitzer is a low velocity gun. Theoretically, with HEAT rounds it could probably take on late-war Panzer IIIs and even Panzer IVs. The 37mm on the M5A1 at current is decent for a light tank but unfortunately struggles against pretty much anything that's a decently designed medium tank. That's the same problem with the 75mm Howitzer because HEAT rounds are not the common ammunition type for Tankery.
>>
>>30112300
I guess, just some scenes more then others just rub me the wrong way.
>>
So is the fact we kicked the poles out of their stuart going to come back and kick us in/up the ass?

Considering that they like their tank, that they have to roughly start over. I'd say so.

>>30112397
Well on paper the 75mm Howitzer is more powerful then the 37mm and the gun doesn't make any demerits on it's speed or maneuverability on paper that is.

I'm leaning toward the Scott but I feel I'm missing something and on paper doesn't always means it will work
