>What is this?

The King of Fighters Quest is a "Choose Your Own Adventure"-style quest in which you take on the role of Katja Hartkern, an Austrailian Aborgine practioner of Kyokugen Karate. It is up to the players to guide her on a day-to-day (Sometimes longer) basis towards joining a team and preparing for the upcoming martial arts extravaganza, "The King of Fighters: Infinite Match".

Along the way, she'll make friends and enemies alike, explore the city of South Town and maybe, JUST maybe, discover more about herself... All very "Slice-Of-Life", yes, but even the most grizzled of combatants can't fight EVERY day of the week... Can they?

Regardless, the goal of the quest? Simple: To WIN IT ALL... Or, at the very least, try not to look like a fool in front of millions watching around the world; Plus, you wouldn't mind trying to use your possible new-found fame to get a job or a house to call your own somewhere out there...

>Summary:

You had tried to sneak out of your Hotel Room to go down to "Meadows Park" for some Tai-Chi, but the press corps and running out of gas while riding your motorcycle had slowed you down... Thankfully, you were able kill two birds with one stone after you had pushed your bike a few miles into a gas station and answered the news hound's questions (Somehow not screwing up) before arriving at the park and doing two sessions of Tai-Chi back-to-back, your body responding well, but by the end of the second session your mind started to wander, pangs of hunger manifesting into dizzyness and a headache.

After you took care of that by trying out some Jamaican Cusine at a place near Shermie's "Fantastique La Femme" Boutique down in "Sound Beach", you headed off to China Town on a whim to check out a place that two other people you've met in your travels slipped business cards to: An "Industrial"-Looking Nightclub called "Live The Dream", complete with a "Grim'n'Gritty" Aesthitic that made you want to get a tetanus shot just sitting down at the bar. Interestingly enough, Shen Woo was in the place that night and invited you up to the VIP section of the club and you accepted, walking into what might've been a sketchy situation when you noticed him and a "Shady"-looking guy you had seen around South Town playing cards near the back of the VIP Section...

Introducing himself as Kazunori Kazahaya, you played a few rounds of Poker with him, Kazunori acknowledging that he and a co-hort of his (Andrew Darco, though he never explicitly stated this to you) weren't going to bother you anymore before Shen joined in on the last game where, through a good turn of luck and bluffing your way through each increasingly heated round of betting, you eventually won over $5,000! However, Kazunori's response to you winning made you head for the exit, your "Panic Button" fully pressed...

After getting reassurance from Shen Woo that he'll help you out in case things "Go Down" ("If you need help or protection, I got your back OK?"), you rode back to "The Imperial" and called up Yuri Sakazaki & King, making arrangements to go clothes-shopping with the two of them in about Two Days (Thursday, May 17th), then swam laps in your room's heated pool before calling it a night, munching on some Pizza and falling asleep at around 10 PM...

At this point, the quest switched viewpoints for a "Side-Story" : To help Tailor and assist with mending costumes for their "Women's Division" and also to Wrestle that night against Tsuyako Horikawa after her previous opponent refused... From there, the players "Watched" Shermie's match with "Live" Commentary for SWF Announcers Jerry Cole & Carl "Big C" Jones (As well as "Dangerous" David Wessel Jr., the same guy that had worked on Katja's 'Bike early in the morning) before switching back to Shermie once again, joining Fiona Graves & Tsuyako out for drinks with her boyfriend Yashiro Nanakase before falling asleep, Yashiro driving her home and helping her get to bed.

>Time of Day: 8:20 AM

>You now assume direct control of Katja Hartkern

You wake up from a deep, strangely dreamless sleep and feel fairly "Fresh", thinking about last night and the nerve-wracking games of poker you had played... Then wonder if it's time to open a bank account back up to legally deposit your winnings, as you can't exactly cash in a cheque without one... (Could you? Banking was never a "Thing" for you anyhow.)

You sit up in bed, do a few light arm stretches and then grab your cellphone, calling up the first guy you can think of that knows his way around money, even if your savings are a pittance compared to his... Unfortunatley, you get an swering machine that states: "Hey, This is Robert. I can't get to the phone right now, but leave a message and we'll talk."

Hanging up, you stretch your neck out a little bit and see a basket filled with (Presumably) clean clothes, noting that they weren't there when you had went to bed...

>A. Get up and carefully inspect the clothes basket in case somebody planted a bomb or something (Roll 2d100 for a Perception Check & Luck)

>B. Get up, change into some fresh clothes and see if you can sneak into the Cafe Downstairs for some Breakfast without having the Hotel Security throw you out over the dress-code (Roll 2d100 for Stealth & Luck)

>C. Call up room Service and order up some Breakfast; You're felling pretty hungry right now inspite of the late dinner you had last night (Roll 1d100 for the Speed your food arrives; Specify between "Healthy", Extravagant", "Sweet" or "Traditional" in your vote)

>D. See if you can rustle up something for yourself in the kitchen; You've been eating out a lot lately and feel like you've forgotten how to cook... (Roll 1d100 for Luck in finding something to make)

You slowly get up and quietly head over to the clothes basket, leaning down low to see if you can hear anything, half-expecting there to be a bomb or something planted inside... And note a faint "Ticking" noise coming from near the bottom.

Your eyes widen as you quickly start to take the clothes off the top of the basket and put them on your bed, each layer getting closer and closer to the steadily-growing louder "Ticking"... Until you see an old pocket-watch staring up at you near the bottom of the basket and kick yourself over your paranoia.

You take a sigh of relief, then take a second glance at the watch, seeing that it had obviously been well-cared for and wonder "How'd this get in 'ere?" before putting it up on your bedstand, wondering if you should try to return it or not...

>A. Call up the Front Desk and ask if anyone's missing a Pocket Watch (Roll 1d100 for Luck that they'll find the owner)

Yes: They're all Katja's, but she didn't notice them when she first had gotten home from being out all day (She had to get them Dry-Cleaned by Hotel Staff after finding that there wasn't a washer/dryer in her current residence).

>>30148102
>>30147578

A part of you wants to keep the watch for yourself, though you feel a little bit of guilt about that thought as you do the 'Good Samaritan" thing and call up the Head Desk, asking "Hey, Uh, I just found a pocket watch in my clean clothes that isn't mine; Do you have an idea who it might belong to?"

"Huh... It's probably Utersson's, but I'll have to actually take a look at it just to be sure" the voice on the other end tellsyou, immediately recognising that t's the "Ginger Kid" that seved you dinner a few days ago (Possibly, though time has sort of been hard to track lately for you).

"Sure... Also, would it be alright if I didn't have to adhere to the dress code in the Cafe Downstairs today? Not show up in pajamas oranything, but just dress nice?" you ask, not really feeling like getting the suit you wore yesterday back just for one meal.

"What dress code?" The voice on the other line asks as you hear him scratch his head..

"Right... OK, I'll be down in a minute" you tell the head receptionist before hanging up, then head back to your room and slip out of your pajamas and into your Black One-pice swimsuit (Thinking about doing some more laps in the pool after you finish eating and do some other exercises) and putting on some black jeans and a crisp White Button-Up Polo Shirt, some socks and a pair of well-worn tennis shoes you found in Robert's walk-in closet that seem to fit your foot size (As you've had to wear Men's sized shoes since you were around 10 years old).

Giving yourself a "Once-Over" in the closet's nearly "Floor-to-Ceiling" mirror, you grab you wallet and hone and head down to the lobby, tuning out the sound of "Elevator Music" as you descend.
>>
>>30148758

You check your pockets and remember that you slipped the pocket-watch you found into your back pocket and get it out, walking up to the head receptionist ("Kyle", the "Ginger Kid" you've run into a few times since you've started living here) and gently put the pocket watch down on the counter.

"Is that the watch you found?" Kyle asks, studying it a little as you look at him, trying to read if he's going to steal it or not.

"Yeah mate, I found it in my dry-cleaning" you reply, an empty feeling your stomach as the smell of food across the lobby reaches your nose...

"Well, it looks like something Utersson would wear... You mind if I put it in the Employees "Lost & Found" until he gets back later?" Kyle asks.

You head over to the Cafe on the otherside of the lobby, ordering a plate from the Salad Bar (Despite the tempting smells of Cinnamon Rolls, Hash Browns and Scrambled Eggs) and make one for yourself, adding a few pieces of fruit and a bottle of water as you want to eat fairly light for the moment, the sound of your swimsuit creaking underneath your clothes reminding you of your work-out regiment that you haven't really started yet. Thankfully, you enjoy a quiet meal today, the sounds of traffic out by your window and the sound of things getting made in the kitchen the only real noise you can hear.

After about 20 Minutes, you finish up and head back to your room, doing a few light stretches out of sheer boredom as your elevator rides up to your current abode; When you arrive, you start to strip down in the main living room and put your clothes on a chair, grab a pair of ingerless "Work-Out" gloves Yuri had bought you when you had just started going to the Kyokugen Dojo and head down to the gym, knowing that while you want to swim a little later, doing so now would only give you stomach cramps as you think of what to start out with today...

You go through your full "Warm-up" stretch routine without any problems and head over to the free weights, grabbing the 30 Lb dumbells and get on a small, flat bench near the weight stand and take a minute or two to situate yourself propery, then start to do curls.

You take it slower today, your arms slightly sore from when you did this exercise last, but you feel that you're stronger than you were yesterday, the weight almost not feeling there in your hands as you finish up your set of Curls and switch to "Shoulder-Shrugs", feeling your way through your workout as you decide to try and push it a little harder, your arms starting to "Warm-Up" near the end of the set.

Lastly, you switch to a set of Bicep "Flexes" and really start to feel the strain, nearly not finishing up as you start to work up a sweat, your arms feeling like taffy that had been over-stretched when you finish up...

Deciding to give your arms a rest, you gently dropped the geometrically-inspired dumbells and lay down on the bench, your head slightly sticking out from under it and take a few breaths, then start to do the first half of your sit-up routine, counting them off in your head with each exhale...

After the 50 mark, you start to feel your stomach cramp slightly, no doubt a little bit of food from breakfast still in your stomach getting tossed and turned around as you work your abdominals to their limits. Instead of laying back, you increase your speed, almost up to the brutal pace "Old Man" Takuma Sakazaki made you work at, primal thoughts of pounding his face in driving you on...

You just manage to finish your routine and gasp for a few minutes, the incredible feeling of pushing your body like that washing over you while you wonder if you should take a swim or something else before breaking for the rest of the day...

You let a few more breaths escape your lips, then take off your shoes, gloves and swimsuit, grabbing them as you head back upstairs to take a shower. The water feels good on your body as you bathe in warmth of it, letting it stream down from your head a little before finishing up and drying yourself off.

As you slip into a pair of sweat pants, a Grey T-Shirt and an Deep Burgundy sweater, you check the clock and see it's just about 10 AM as you grab your cellphone, determined to give Robert Garcia one last call about depositing your money...

After a few rings, you hear himanswer the phone, asking "Katja? What's up?"

"Hey Slick; How'you been?"

"Not too bad, but busy... What's up?" He asks, the sounds of his Bodyguard driving audible over the phone.

"Well, I need some advice; I ended up coming into a little over Five grand, and I need to know where I can safely deposit it" you ask, knowing enough about the crokked practices of several "Too Big To Fail" banking institutions.

"Is it cash or a cheque?"

"A cheque, actually... Which wouldn't be a problem, but my old bank gotabsolved into a bigger one and I decided not to renew my account there; Are there any banks you might be able to reccomend to a poor average jane like me?" you ask, adding a little sass to the remark as Robert pauses on the other end, obviously going over a few things in his head.

"You still there? Sorry, had to check in with something else; I'm on the road to one last business meeting before I can start to do my crash-course training."

"Nah, I'm hear mate. You want me to get a pen and pad so I can write this all down?" You ask.

"Sure... I'll give you a second" he sys as he puts you on hold, again fidgetting with something as you head over to the front room, spotting a pen and some stationary near the cordless phone that can connect straight to the main desk.

"You ready?"

"Yeah, shoot!" you reply, as Robert explains EXACTLY how and where to open up your bank account, spending the next 20 Minutes going through each and every detail as well as things to look out for... And while most of it flies in one ear and goes out the other, you write EVERYTHING down, using three sheets of the stationary before he finishes.

"Anything else?" He asks, almost tauntingly as you hear the car he's in stopat a light.

"Yeah; Can I kiss you the next time we meet? Or spar with you when i get cleared to? Because this'll help a LOT mate" you reply, your admiration fot him genuine as he cracks up a little on the other end.

"Ah, C'mon; You and I both know what would happen if we tried anything" he jokes, visions of Yuri vaporizing the two of you with her new "Special" Desperation Move", the Ha'oh Sai Shokuo Ken running both of your heads... Though after a quick pause, he adds "But sparring down on Sound Beach or up in the National Park sounds good. When will you be ready to go?"

"I've got a check-up tomorrow and if I clear, I'll be back in action before the week's out" you tell him, hoping that'll be the case as your optimism speards through your voice.

"Sounds good; Leave me a message and we'll talk it out alright?" Robert asks, adding "I gotta get going; I'll see you around."

"Kay, thanks again and buh-bye!" you tell him as he hangs up. You take a sigh of relief, wondering where you'd be without a guy like him in your life for a little bit before wondering what to do for the rest of your morning...

A nagging feeling overwhelms you as you look back at the hallway that leads to the living room, a part of you feeling like you should finish up your work out...

You run with that feeling and take off your sweater, heading down to the gym and setting yourself up on the Exercise Bike, checking and double-checking the settings before you start to attack the bike in earnest, your legs pumping and and your body breaking up another sweat...

After 15 Minutes, you start to breath heavily and sweat starts to stream down your face once again, but you put the pain out of your mind and finish up after another 15 Minutes, your heart rate at nearly 150 BPM and having cycled a little under 3 Miles in half an hour a new personal best.

However, you feel "Spent", not even compelled to skinny-dip in the pool for a "Cool down" as you get up and start to stretch, making extra-sure your legs won't cramp up later as you wonder what to do with the rest of your day...

You finish stretching and head upstairs to the kitchen, not quite sure what you'll find as you look around for about 45 Minutes, finding that aside from a few Baguettes that look sort-of Fresh (And don't have mold after you cut them length-wise and inspected them thoroughly), a few ingredients here-and-there and enough different coking flours and yeast to start a bakery, you remember that whatever food Robert had probably went bad and the fridge itself was empty, save for a cornucopia of beverages and the leftover Pizza you had last night.

You sigh, grab a bottle of beer hidden inside the fridge, crack it open with bottle opener on your key ring and taking a good swig, cursing the lack of real food in this impossibly luxurious pad...

"Might as well get those leftovers out before they go bad" you think out loud, grabbing the pizza you had last night and putting them on a tinfoil-covered cookie sheet you found, opening up the oven and seemingly setting it to cook at 350 Degrees Farenheit and idly wondering about how you could get groceries up here while you wait...

After about 20 Minutes you start to smell your food and shut the oven off, finding that it was quite easy to use in spite of the seemingly endless amount of cooking options it had via a control keypad up near the oven's temperature dial. You open the oven up and look around for an oven mit, finding a baking glove shaped and colored to look like a snake and use to get your food out of the oven, simply using the sheet as a plate while you let it cool.

The food itself still tasted alright on the second cooking, but it lost that certain lustre it had the night before; Still, you couldn't complain as you finish it up fairly quickly, the oddly-labelled (And possibly foreign) beer you're drinking helping the taste a little bit.

After wiping your mouth off, you looked up at the clock and see that it's around 1 PM, idly wondering what you can do for the rest of the day, as you don't particularly feel like training anymore...

You head over to where you had hung up your riding leathers, boots and helmet and start to slip them on, getting ready to head out and start up a new bank account at "JLCarruthers & Steele", the place Robert has apparrantly used for his own private banking in the USA since he moved here...

You look around and find the drawer you had hidden your life savings (A little over $18,000 cash) and open it, breathing a HUGE sigh of relief that it's still there and take about half of it and Kazunori's checque with you, stuffing them into the pockets of your pants underneath your leathers as well as grabbing your wallet and cellphone before you hide your remaining money and head down to the lobby.

A quick walk and check-in at the head desk to hold and/or block all calls until you get back, you head down to the parking garage, hop on your trusty motorcycle and fire it up, slipping on your helmet and slowly backing out until you can give the throttle peg a twist and ride off into the mid-day traffic.

However, said traffic was denser than you had expected and it took all of your skill to not crash as taxis and other motorists seemed intent on cutting you off and/or running you off the road today...

Finally, you safely arrive at the bank at not quite 2 PM, lucky that you had gotten in just as the had arrived from lunch. The process of starting up the account was unusually hands-on and fairly complex, though snippets struck out in your mind from Robert's conversation earlier: "Sign up for the DNC list ASAP", "Stay the FUCK away from Online or Mobile Baking" and "With your money, go for a lower-income plan to start out" and you followed his outline faultlessly, even discovering that the initial plan that they had you on was going to cost you up to $300 in fees for features that you didn't want and/or need.
>>

After an hour and a half, you had created your account and deposited Kazunori's checque for $5,380, feeling a little bit better about yourself while wondering where to go or what to do next...

You think thingsover for a little bit and decide ride down to "Meadow's Park" for some Tai-Chi; You could feel yourself grow stronger after each session and want to see if you can do a full Hour-and-a-Half session with out any detrimental effects...

You hop on your bike and cruise out onto some backroads to try and avoid the inner-city traffic, heading out near the national park and stopping for gas at the same station your pulled into yesterday, enjoying the route more and just riding for the fun of it, not really pushing for time either...

You retrace the route you took yesterday and arrive at the Park by around 3:45 PM, just in time to get in one of the last public sessions; You hurriedly started to stretch and get into the flow and rythym of the instructor's slightly varied routine today, the strain of it being a little bit harder than you had expected and the fatigue of the workouts you did earlier in the morning taking a noticeable toll on your body.

While finish the full session with flying colours on the physical side, you don't feel any different on the mental aspect of it; Indeed, the whole deal felt like you were going through a long, fairly difficult "Cool-Down" Exercise that left you feeling fairly drained afterward, resting up near the tree you had parked your bike next to and resting your eyes for a little bit as the sun began it's descent onto the horizon line.

You open your eyes and slip your helmet back on, tucking in your gloves and firing up the bike's engine, checking the headlights before you ride off into the setting sun, taking a more direct route to the heart of the city and trying to race to "Wessel's garage" before they might close.

However, about halfway there you notice another motorcycle-sized light coming up behind you, the engine note an unmistakable "Buzz-Bomb" that that's nearly impossible to describe; Howeve, you know that it's the same bike that "Bizuki Iijima" had ridden in on the morning of your photo shoot with Shermie and the others (A VERY rare Norton F1), though you can tell by the excessively loud engine note that whoever's riding is unusually "On-Song" tonight...

>Time of Day: 6:20 PM

>Updates now resume

>You now assume Direct Control of Katja Hartkern

You think about moving over to the right side of the road to let the guy behind you pass, but by the time you think of it he's already flown by you, a streaking tail light in the darkness and the sound of the exhaust note ringing out into the distance the only cues that he was even there at all...

You thought about riding after him for a few brief seconds, but decide instead to keep riding to Wessel's Garage at a safe, steady pace, not wanting to attract too much attention and half-expecting to have to fight somebody once you arrive...

You pull up to the garage at 6:57 PM, noting that the large door is still open and that a group of mechanics are working on the motorcycle that passed you, David Wessel Jrr. (The owner of the shop) standing nearby and assesing the work being done.

You turn the egine off, standing the bike up near the space between the garage door and the head office and ask "Hey! You guys still open?" (Slipping off your helmet before you do, of course!)

"yeah, come on in!" David replies, still looking at the boys in blue overalls go over the bike with a fine-tooth comb, asking you "So, you gonna get that upgrade package like I reccomended?"

You mull it over a little and reply "Maybe... I want to get some Saddlebags first."

"Yeah, no problem; We'll have to order them in, but it shouldn't take longer than 4-5 days at the most... Plus, we got a couple of choices to go over" he replies, motioning you inside.

You follow him in and walk through the garage, dodging a few other bits and half-finished bikes in various states of assembly and head into his office, noting a wall of photos and memorabillia from old motorcycle races as he heads over to a desk-top computer, fiddling with it until he gets to the screen he's looking for.

"OK, well, we can go for a basic, generic bags that we can mount properly; Those range from around Sixty Bucks to up to $300, depending on the make and construction."

You nod, non of the choices he's showing you really grabbing you as david opens up another wndow and shows off a second set of optionns, explaining "Now, we can also get you a set of "Hard Saddlebags" from the Triumph Bonneville and custom-fit them to your bike's frame, though if we end up going that route they'll be permanently attached."

"Hmm... I'd have to actually see those done up on my bike to really say if I'd go for them or not" you reply.

"OK, lastly we can go straight to Triumph and get a set of these Sixty8 Black Leather City Bags for the Bonneville and custom-fit them to your Truxton..." David futher explains.

"Those look nice... How much?" you ask, hoping that it won't completely destroy your bank account.

"It's about $700 straight from Triumph for a pair, but a friend's wife's cousin's BFF knows this guy in Canada that travels to out Germany, who can hook up with HIS friend's sister-in-law's daughter, who goes to Japan and knows this guy at a noodle shop that had a couple for like $500..." David explains, pausing for a moment before adding "I think he only has three left; Well, last I checked anyway..."

"Well, if it ain't too much of an inconvenience I'd to get some for Five-Hundred from your friends" you reply, scarcely believing David's story, but grabbing your checque book and asking "Personal Checque alright?"

"Sure" he says as you write it out and hand it to him, David checking the authenticity before asking "Was there anything else you wanted done?"

"I'dunno... Maybe the exhaust; That buzz-bomb that passed me on the way over here totally drowned out my bike's engine."

"Yeah, Norton Rotaries always end up doing that" David remarks, adding "It belongs to a friend of mine; He wanted to get a few once-overs in case something happened with it while he was out."
>>
>>30167176

"were you ridin' it?" you ask, wondering if he was out on a run.

"Yeah... Sorry if I scared you" he replies, a cheesy smirk on face before adding "Anyway, I gotta check on the guys and make sure they don't fuck the thing up; it's a one-of-a-kind bike in the states and parts are a NIGHTMARE to find for it... I usually do the maitenance myself when I have the time, but my work schedule's through the roof lately."

"Awright... I've got your number in case I change my mind yeah?" you tell him as you shake his hand and head out of his office with him, passing through the psuedo-obstical course in his garage before getting back on your bike, firing up the engine and noting that yes, it DOESsound a bit like an electric sewing machine as you put your helmet back on and ride off, joining the flow of surprisingly-light traffic tonight...

You think about heading back to the hotel and staying in for the night, but decide to grab a quick bite to eat before you do... You follow the pathways and streets of South Town's before heading down to "The Pao Pao Cafe", recognising the sign out in front of the large, featureless brick building.

You pull up to the parking lot across the street from it, unzipping your leathers to grab out your wallet and pay a small fee for parking priveledges and ride in, finding a space just near the middke of the lot and surrounded by Sport-Utility Vehicles that dwarf you and your bike.

You flick the engine off, kick the stand up and head out to the Cafe across the street, tipping the door man around $10 as you hear him say "Hey leathers. You in for fight night?"

"Just as a spectator tonight mate" you tell him, slipping the money under his clipboard and walking in, the sound of music playing and a crowd cheering on two fighters near the back of the place almost audible from the front entrance.

You hear a familiar voice yell "BUSTAH WOOOOOLF!!!" and see an explosion from the back, darkly thinking about "Some poor sod getting his or her arse kicked" before heading up to the bar, an older man with tan skin and a bushy black beard mixing a martini for someone behind the counter and wordlessly pouring it for the... You take a good look at the guy sitting up at the bar and wonder if he might be a rockstar, or a male model or even a high-class gigolo; The blue suit he's got on looks very impressive and shines a little in the Cafe's light, though you're more interested in the unusuall-long cane at his side, as well as what looks like the buldge of a holstered gun, or possibly a dagger at his other side...

You briefly thought of possibly going up to him and see if might want to dance just to guage a reaction, but you think better of it and head back towards the cafe's "Fighting Stage" and bump into a certain someone walking the opposite way.

"Hey, Terry! how's on ya' mate!?" you yell, smilling as he greats you like an old friend.

"Nothing much Kat; What're you up to?"

"Eh, felt like coming over and checking this place out for myself, I guess" you reply, the

"Wanna have a drink with me? I just got done with a fight" he asks, letting out a breath as you walk with him back to the bar.

"Sure... Hey, you know if this place's got anything to eat? I'm starving."

"You kidding? The Pao Pao Cafe's got the best Burgers in town! Ain't that right Richard?" Terry asks, sitting up at the bar and looking at the older man with the bushy beard.

Richard Meyer smirks at that and asks "What can I get the two of you?"

"I'dunno, a Burger and a Coke sounds good right now" Terry says as the other guy from earlier gets up, puts a $100 Bill on the bar under his glass and walks away, pushing his oddly-colored sunglases up the bridge of his nose before walking away...
>>
>>30170883

"I'll have what he's having" you say, pointing to Terry as you watch the suited man walk away, something oddly terrifying about his demeaour as he walks to the back, his cane clicking on the floor.

"So! Where'you been? I haven't gotten any calls from ya'."

"Staying at home mostly... That fight with the one guy in the Alley put me back a few days; I'm on doctor's orders to not fight or use any of my Ki" you grumble, a part of you still trying to come to grips with that.

"Bummer... Ah well, life ain't about pounding some guy's face in, right?" Terry asks, patting you on the back.

"Yeah..." you sigh as the lights start to dim, signifying a new fight's about to start...

"Alright ladies and gentelemen! The fight night continues with a VERY special FENCING match!" The announcer bellows, his microphone turned up a little too high as his voice buzzes a little bit...

"Sounds like another one's starting up..." Terry mumbles, taking a swig from his drink.

"You wanna check it out? I sorta came here to get my head back into the game" you tell him, grabbing your soda and standing up from the barstool.

"Sounds good to me" Terry replies, yelling "Hey Richard! Send our food out by the table in front of the stage alright?" before following you out to the table you had sat in with Robert and the gang such a long time ago, noting the guy from the bar standing on the right side of the "stage" as the spotlight hits the older-looking man on the left, dressed up like some kind of matador and holding a red cape draped over his left arm.

"Standing to my left, from Pomplona, Spain, making his return to the ring... LAURENCE BLOOOD!"

"We'll I'll be... I thought he retired" Terry muses, mumbling "And he's not looking too bad for a guy his age either" as you eye him, seeing that his eyes are focused on the man on the other side of the "Stage"... And sure enough, the spotlight shines on his opponent, the Emcee's voice speaking up again.

"And the challenger... From Montreal, Quebec, Canada... Making his debut here tonight here at the Pao Pao Cafe, give it up for CLAUDE!"

Jean-Claude Gabriel takes a breath, then grabs the cane you had seen him with up at the bar and reveals a fairly-large sword hidden from it, tossing the stick aside and pointing the blade directly out from his right arm, standing nearly upright as the lights brighten, the announcer yelling "Ready? FIGHT!"
>>
>>30172777
>777
>Lawrence v Claude
Aww shit. Blood's gonna be spilled tonight.
>>
>>30172777

You watch the two of them two of them eye each other up, Laurence advancing in-and-out of "Claude's" range in a linear fashion while "Claude" shifts ever-so slightly left and right, advancing a little bit but not really gaining any ground and Blood attempts to strike first with a jumping kick... Only for "Claude" to step to the right and kick him in the back, then thrust forward and land a shallow strike at Laurence's chest.

Though no blood shows up on his chest, Laurence stagers back a little as "Claude" advances to the left a little, keeping himself perfectly in control and just out of reach of Laurance's attack, trying to "Beat the Straight Line with a Circle" as Lee Pai Long put it, his words ringing in the back of your head as Terry remarks "That's the strangest damn fighting style I've seen in a while... 'Course, I'm not too up on weapon fighters."

You nod and keep your eyes on them as the two clash swords, Laurence overpowering "Claude" and then hitting him with a combination of attacks that left him "Dizzied": A jumping kick to start, then a deft smack to the head with his cape before hitting the ground, following that up with another swipe of his cape (Said cape glowing slightly in the dark lighting of the Cafe) before lauching towards him like a human torpedo, your eyes scarcely believing that a human being could do such a thing before landing an uppercut to finish the "Stun Combination".

Laurence smiles and cheers to the crowd for a few seconds before "Claude" drops his sword and Slugs him in the face, attacking with an odd mixture of Boxing and a few techniques that remind you of Kyokugen Karate a little, knocking him over to the left of the stage with an uppercut that advances him forward, but keeps his body on the ground, a Red burst of Energy covering his arm.
>>
>>30173325

"Now then... Are we going to duel? Or are you just going to hide behind that cape?" "Claude" asks out loud, picking up his sword and assuming the odd fencing stance he had, pointing his weapon outward.

Laurance seemingly curses him out in Spanish and charges forward like a torpedo again, noting that his body's slightly spinning as he does it, "Claude" blocking the strike but not able to capitalize on it while Laurence continues his offense, going for low sweeps to try and trip "Claude" up, though he seems to dodge them with an odd-looking feint to the left that smacks Laurence across the head.

Curiously, it soesn't seem that any blood's getting spilled by Claude's sword as Laurence lands another damaging combination of attacks, again "Crossing" Claude up with a kick, then twirlling his cape around like a biplane's propeller, knocking him back although Claude Ukemi's out of it and tosses his sword aside, clearly not in the mood to have to try and hamstring himself with a weapon that Laurence seems to be ignoring and rushes head-long after him with a kick that looks a lot like Ryo's "Hien Shipuu Kyaku".

The kick hit's Laurence hard enough to send him flying back to the left edge of the stage, the cuts from earlier now starting to seep a little blood as "Claude" walks away from him, muttering something about being a "Classless Fool" in Spanish while wiping himself off with a towel from his pocket...

"That kid's pretty good... Swordplay looks wonky as shit, but his bare-hand style's pretty grounded" Terry remarks as you watch Laurence Blood stagger back up, wiping some blood from his chin and rush forward, jumping up into the air and trying to crss-up "Claude" while his back was turned...

However, Claude threw the small towel he had been wiping himself off with and hit Laurence with a spinning back kick that would've made Kim Kaphwan envious, the sound of Laurence's body hitting the tiled stage sticking out from all of the other sounds in the Cafe...
>>
>>30173767

The referee and a few other members of the staff check up on him, Claude calmly walking over to get his sword and cane-scabbard as they confirm that while Laurence Blood's still up and raring to fight, he's "Punch Drunk" and count him out with a standing "Ten".

"And it's a Technical Knockout ladies and gentlemen! You're winner, In the blue square... CLAUDE!"

Jean-Claude Ganriel takes a bow to a few rounds of scattered applause, then slinks off to the bathroom as your food arrives,

C'mon now Terry...
>>
>>30174159
>>30174263

You raise a your bottle of soda and sort-of toast Terry's sucesses before taking a bite of your burger, finding it taste pretty good to your pallete as you ask him "Well, how'd you think that went? If it weren't already obvious, I mean..."

"I'dunno, I thought it was pretty decisive in the kid's favor; When Claude stopped using his sword and started to really fight him, Lawrence got creamed" Terry bluntly tells you, munching on his burger with gusto.

"Yeah, I guess..." you reply, asking him "But, I was kind of wondering how you thought it was going on a more technical level, say?"

"Oh... Well, I always thought Lawrence's underrated fighter; He could stun you and lock you down in the corner like it was no one's business and was strong everywhere else in a ring when he was in his prime... But I think he's past it now. Beside, he's the kind of fighter that has to charge himself up a little before doing an attack; I used to do it sometimes on certain moves, but eventually I learned how to cancel into those moves."

You nod, still eating as you wash your burger down with some soda before replying "Like that one attack that you fly up in the air upside down?"

"Yeah... Sometimes I can just do it without thinking, but most of the time I have to really focus and concentrate on it".

"OK... But what about the kid? I know his swordsmanship wasn't all that impressive, but how'd you think he fought?" you ask, trying to pick Terry's "Fighting Brain".

"Well... Like I said, he's well-grounded; No real advantages aside from dealing damage to him, but no real weaknesses either. Plus, Lawrence was always an offense-driven kind of fighter; The kind of guy that takes a fight and runs with it, dictating how the pace goes..." Terry pauses, finishing up his burger and soda before adding "Now, that kid Claude? He was methodical and felt him out with his sword at the start, then switched to straight-up fighting when he realised that it wasn't goin' to work out."
>>
>>30174760

You eat up the last of your burger and take one last swig from your soda and ask one of the most cliched questions a fighter could recieve: "You think you could take him then?"

Terry pauses, putting a hand up to his chin before admitting "It WOULD be interesting... But I'm not the type to get into fights for the hell of it anymore; I'm getting too old for that kind of shit."

"Wish I could say the same..." You reply, thinking about how you've actually fought more in the last 3 Months than you had in the last 6 YEARS and sigh, finishing your soda.

"Yeah, but It's like I told you when we last spoke: I picked up what I learned by fighting on the streets, going through as many fights as I could in my youth before honing my own style... And while it's something I don't think I can shake, I'm older and wiser now."

"Yeah..." you glumly reply, again feeling a sense of melancholy of not going out and fighting out in your youth rather than staying behind and learning the ins-and-outs of training exercises...

"Yeah... But the worse part about it all, is that my style makes it impossible for me to set up a Dojo and teach others like what you went through."

"Why not?" you ask, surprised at his words before adding "Hell, I'd figure you'd be a great teacher."

"Probably, yeah.. But like I said, I learned my craft "Out in the wild"; I'd have to make up an "Official" name for my style, names for all of my techniques and strategies... It would look like I was cashing in on my fame more than anything else" Terry laments, comically eyeing the the empty bottle and shrugging as he puts it back down on the table.

"Honestly, I fuckin' HATED all of the passive-aggressive politics that the Dojo had...And all of the bloody twerps and try-hards that got into it just so they could walk up to some bird in a bar and say "Hey Babe, you wanna go a few rounds with me?" you tell him, overhearing Terry crack up before at your "Macho Male" voice before asking "And hey, where's Mary?"

"Oh, she's out on a gig with her buddies down at the agency" Terry replies, adding "And Andy's out shopping with Mai, Joe's probably training some new girl he found and made "His Disciple" and Rock's at home... Probably", pausing at that last bit as Claude walks by and drops a business card for "The Paragon Group" down on your table, the words "Call Me" and what looks like his cellphone number on the back without saying a word...

"Hey, lucky you..." Terry lamely jokes as you put it into yourback pocket and tell him "Well, it's been mate but it's getting late for me... Besides, being here and not being able to call up somebody to fight's bloody torture to a gal like me."

Terry knowingly nods, then gets up and gives you a hug, saying "You've got my number right?"

After replying that no, you didn't, you exchanged phone numbers and parted ways, Terry heading to the bathroom and you heading back outside, walking across the street and hopping on your motorcycle, starting it up right away and riding back to "The Imperial" without much trouble and getting back up to your room by around 8 PM...

We're getting to Lee's either very slowly or by catching a ride.

IDEA!
We ring Claude early morning, seem kinda interested but get a taxi ride out of him by asking it as a favour, possibly catching lunch/negotiations afterwards.

Gotta Take the rough with the smooth I guess...

You start to slip out of your riding leathers and eventually strip down to your bra and panties, calling up the head desk and asking if you recieved any calls while you were out. After finding that no one was interested in speaking with you, you head down to the pool and take your last two garments off, doing a sped-up version of your stretching routine and diving in, the sorta-warm water feeling god on your body as you start to do "Laps" in the pool, taking it slow but gradually gaining speed and increasing your pace in the water... However, you have to stop just after you started your second set of 20 laps, feeling a few stomach cramps and not wanting to possibly injure yourself further.

You do a few stomach crunches and back hyper extenions on the concrete floor near the pool to try and stretch the abdominals out a little, feeling better as you do so but waiting another hour before you go back into the pool, watching a little bit of the nightly news up in the living room (The only thing of note was the surprising coverage of "The King of Fighters: Infinite Match" in the sports section as well as an "Exclusive" interview with the "Secretive" sponsor) before finishing up your second set of laps without any incident.

You sigh after finishing up your last lap in the pool, "Hitting the Wall" mentally and physically before drying yourself off again, slipping into your pajamas and going to sleep at 10:20 PM...

>You Now assume Direct Control of "Blue Mary" Ryan

>Date: Wednesday, May 16th

>Time of Day: CLASSIFIED

===

You had slipped on some black "Stealth Camouflage" back at the "Agent's" base of opperations and are riding "Shotgun" with Seth, Vanessa & Ramon in the back seat as you drive off into the night, the lights of South Town twinkling like stars as Seth debriefs you on your mission for what feels like the 1 Millionth time:

"Well, as you know, our agency came up short when dealing with Ron and the Flyig Brigand's Traitors, though when DNA testing confirmed that we found Ron's Skeleton at the site of the new stadium that's being built on the North Side of town, we checked our records and found a person of interest..."

"And that person lives out in some shit-hole amusement park no one's been to in ten years? Are you SURE that this whole assignment might've been built up on faulty intel Sir?"

Seth says nothing, conceding that that it might have as you annoyedly sigh, something "Off" about all of this as you state "OK, we're here: Grab your gear, get cracking and for the love of christ, DON'T split up on me; I don't feel like walking into the set of Saw Fucking One tonight."

"Hey, slow down Chica... You callin' the shots tonight or what?" Ramon asks, Seth glaring at you as you realize that you just spoke out of order to a man that technically out-ranks you.

"Uh... Appologies Sir" you begrudgingly add, blushing a little as Vanessa tries not to burst out laughing and Ramon puts on a "Troll-Face" grin.

"Next time you speak out of line like that I'm not hiring you again" Seth Threatens, his voice softening a little when he adds "But she's right; It's time to begin opperations."

"I don't fucking like this Seth... Not one bit" you mutter as you slip on a "Head Sock" and bullet-proof helmet, switching on the night-vision goggles they gave you.
>>
>>30181050
Brief, not debrief. Brief is before the mission, and debrief is after the mission.
>>
>>30181050

"Me either... But the boys upstairs said that this is the person we should follow and the agency's under fire for not getting Ron when we had the chance" Seth admits with a sigh.

"Like chasing shadows in the dark is any better?" you ask to no one in particular as the others slip their gear on, Seth ordering silence as you walk through the dilapidated remains of "Dreamland Amusement Park", the "70's Slasher Flick Vibe" of this place giving you the creeps, your mind already frazzled today as-is... (Shit, you even mistook "Debrief" for "Brief", for god's sake!)

Nothing seems out-of the ordinary as you examine the remains of the place, a sad sense of abandonment and lonliness in the time-distorted faces and peeling paint on the statues and signage that dots the park... When suddenly, the park's broken lights and rides flicker on, the disorted music coming from the rides only amplifying the dark atmosphere of the place as you fight everything within yourself not to scream like a frightend schoolgirl...

Which Ramon just about does for you, Vanessa tackling him to the ground and putting a hand over his mouth as she whispers "Be QUIET', the single-mom in her showing at the oddest of times.

"This is some BULL-SHIT, I swear" Seth whispers, adding "Keep Moving; Reports told us that the case-file we're looking for is up ahead."

"WHAT reports? What FILES? I know they're classified, but I've got a high-enough clearance code to see them" you whisper, a tinge of whining in your tone as everything about this smells of a "Set-Up".

"They're all classified and out of your jurisdiction; Now knock it off before I send you home" Seth harshly whispers as you sigh, wondering how the competent group you knew from previous missions could be such airheads at a time like this...
>>
>>30181477

Eventually, your squad makes it to the center of the park and head towards a large, tent-shaped building that probably acted as the circus ring and performance center once upon a time. Seth motions you and the rest of the team to lay low and follow his lead using Hand signals, then bust the locked door down on a count of "3"...

When you all walk into a room full of pitch darkness, the four of you switching on your nightvision goggles at nearly the exact same time, not seeing anything... Until you spot a set of human-sized eyes glowing back at you, the sounds and lights outside shutting off and what feels like an electromagnetic pulse bomb going off, knocking all four of your

"Ah shit" you can hear Ramon mumble as you take off your goggles and see TWO sets of eyes staring back at you, one of them red and human-sized, the other yellow and looking as though they belong on a canine.

"FUCK IT'S AN AMBUSH!" you yell, rolling to your right as you can feel something lunge towards you in the darkness, the slashes of cold steel and the inhuman growl of whatever that thing was, sounds of struggle from your commrades telling you that this isn't going well as you get pinned to the ground by a monsterous creature's arms, it's eyes almost as big as your head an a mouth you can imagine to big enough to swallow you whole as you wrestle it away from you and kick it in the snout, noting that it's Lupine is shape as you feel your heart beating out of your chest.

"SETH!? VANESSA!? RAMOOOON!?!" you scream, going against all protocol but damn it, you don't know what to fucking DO right now as you hear a smal voice grow louder and louder, a wicked laugh growing louder and louder, cackling in an odd rythm that you don't recognize ( " ラキ, ラキ, ラキキ....") as you try to stop it from entering your ears, the sound deafening for a few madenning seconds before it all stops, a Spotlight shining down in the dead center of the room...

You brace yourself for the worst as the lights brighten up the entire building, revealing the slain corpses of Seth, Vanessa & Ramon, a Young Asian girl with Red Eyes sitting on top of them like hey were pillows, dangling her feet as though she

"You... BITCH!" you scream, tears in your eyes as you rip off your helmet & mask, your body shaking as every possible plan you had in case something like this happened flies out the window as you slowly start to walk towards her, looking menacing as you can.

She points to her chest in a "Who? Me?" motion, then slides off of the pile of your fallen commrades and starts to float in the air, her arms outstretched as she yells "So, you wish to fight a god? Pittiful!" as a deep, crimson energy starts to surround her tiny frame.

So many rolls for a single action allows for too many points of failure in the action. I mean, it's one thing to drop a combo, but still.

True, but said combination of attacks can knock almost a quarter of Mary's current opponent's life bar off in one go, so take it as you will... Also, when it was more open as far as combat went the player base didn't like it as much as I had expected.

>>30182802
>>30183062

You race towards your mysterious assailant, dodging a few blasts of energy before you try to hit her with you "Hammer Arch", a Polish-Hammer variant that usually hits most opponent's mid-sections, though on her floating frame it hits her legs and totally screws up the attacks you had in mind; Still, you let rage overtake your mind as you try for a few hand slaps, only to have them get blocked as you get pushed back by a TREMENDOUS force, an odd-looking "Blow-Back Attack" forcing you to Ukemi and dodge a gust of wind from slicing you to pieces.

You yell and rush back in to try another variant of the combo, dodging attacks here and there and keeping the pressure on with attack strings, looking for an opportunity to trying and land a "Double Rolling" Kick, then a "Vertical Arrow-M. Snatcher" follow-up...

"Eager for a shallow grave?" Bizuki muses, vanishing into thin air and reapearing a fair distance behind you the moment you hit her with the "Double Rolling", seemingly content to play the "Ranged Game" against you as you had shrugged off her "Normal" Attacks off with some ease...

however, you're smarter than that and "Power-up", NAILING her with your "Splash Rose" "Desperation Move", unloading a flurry of punches and kicks at from all angles before uppercutting her into the air...

Unfortunately, Bizuki's Ukemi's out of the attack and teleports away just as you get within grabbing range, looking shocked a little as she slashes at you, a yellow glow covering her hand as the energy traill hits you multiple times and allows Bizuki to kick you in the stomack with an odd move more remeniscient of Ballet than any combat art...

As you fall backwards, Bizuki teleports behind you once more and slams you down onto the ground with a well-timed throw, leaving you right where she might want you, a deadly glare in her eyes, though you note that her breathing is unsteady and the energy circling her feet is waning...

>You now resume Direct Control of "Blue Mary" Ryan

You roll away from Bizuki's heel kick, only just managing to miss the leg going upwards and try to counter it... And though you're able to swat her leg away from your face, you fail to really do any damage as she teleports out of your "Backdrop Real" follow-up attack and hits you in the back of the head with a "Sabat Kick", knocking you over.

You hear her say "You're dealing with forces that you can't fathom" with a yawn as you clutch your head, evading another barage of Projectiles and three onsecutive "Spinning Backfist" attacks from Bizuki, landing your "Facebuster" counter-hold on her on the third hit and backing away from her slightly.

"Blow it out your ass!" you yell, heading over to try for a "Straight Slicer" sweep... Only for her to lock you into an odd-looking Projectile, your arms forcible held behind your back by an unseen force as she laughs, wiping the blood on the side of her mouth and licking it menacingly.

"Now... About my off-OUGH!!!!" she starts to say before you headbutt her, breaking the seal that had tied up your arms as you hit her with a "Spinfall", lock in a "M. Spider" armbar and don't let go, Bizuki shrieking out in pain at the damage your dealing her...

You greak the hold and roll away from her, a golden glow forming as you slowly stand up and "Power-Up", watching Bizuki wearily get up before running her down with with strings of punches and kicks, peppering them with choice special moves like the "Spinfall" and "Vertical Arrow", not focusing on landing grabs as you watch the seemingly-smug little girl from before start to waver as she struggles to block your onslaught of strikes, your sheer physical size and strength over-powering her.

She seems to want to teleport away from you, but can't as your fists and feet connect with her body, easily dodging her Kung Fu-influenced strikes and hitting her back with more damage as the "Powered Up" state ends, grabbing onto her leg after successfully landing a "Straight Slicer" follow-up, again not letting go as she starts to cry from the pain...

You lock onto her leg for a little bit, trying to get her to pass out as she tries to "Butch up" and not say anything, tears streaming down her face.

Thinking that you've got the upper hand, you transition into a "Full Mount" position and start to rain down punches, though to your horror she teleports out from underneath you after the first one and floats back and above you, her arns outstretched as a barrage of projectiles shoot towards you, the hits concussive but each one feels like a thousand knives are cutting through your flesh...

You get blasted back by the attack, your body whipping over itself as you roll up into the corner of the arena as the lightst start to flicker a little, staggering to get back up as you feel you enerhy fading... Only to get Bizuki's foot pressing down on your abdomen, the weight unearthly heavy on your lwer chest and upper abdomen.

"It was" she pauses, wiping dust and sweat from her face and taking a breath, "A noble effort... But you're outmatched; No mere mortal like you could DARE to stand up to my powers", smirking as you vainly struggle to get her foot off of your chest before she cracks a rib, or something.

"What... W-What do you want!?" you stammer out, Bizuki's foot choking the air out of your lungs as it feels close to over a thousand pounds of weight on you as you hear your ribs creaking, Bizuki wagging a finger at you.

"No no, say "PLEASE, What do you want?" she grins, enjoying a little bit of sadism at your expense ("In more ways than one", you grimly note as it looks like she's actually getting aroused by this)...

You close your eyes and look like you're going to fade to nothingness, a plan forming in your head as Bizuki starts getting annoyed at you, kicking your face around with her other foot and asking "What's the matter? Where's that spirit I saw in your eyes?!", her voice changing from a young-ish sounding chirp into a mature woman's growl in an instant as you open your eyes and grab the leg that's standing on you, forcing all of your strength into trying to move it so you can slam her into the ground...

However, while you're able to get her to lose balance and get off of you, you lose grip of her as she backflips away from you, clutching her head for a moment as the lights and the lustre of the arena start to fade for a few seconds, her body obscuring your virew of your fallen agents as you slowly get back up, steadying yourself up

"Terry... I'm sorry if I don't come home tonight" you tell yourself, as you wipe the blood trickling from your face and spit some more out as Bizuki seems TOTALLY out of it right now...

A golden glow starts to shine in your body as you "Power Up" and run towards Bizuki, using all of the strength in your legs to try and take her down for good with one last combination of attacks as you jump upwards, your elbow outstretched in an "Arch Hammer" as you smash into her, then rocket upwards with a "Vertical Arrow" kick, grabbing her body as you kick her and slam her back down towards the ground with a "Mary Snatcher", watching her body fall and cushion your landing, but you aren't done yet: You dash towards her with a barrage of punches and kicks at your beck and call, a Splash Rose" "Desperation Move" on your mind...

However, you note that once again she teleports out of your way, but you stop yourself from hitting the "Splash Rose" and use all of your strength to bock her counter-attack: a MASSIVE ball of Blue-ish/Purple electricity that sh hits and fires towards you.

You block the attack successfully (Though you feel like your arms got stung by a Hornet's Nest) and counter-hit Bizuki with the "Splash Rose" DM, an assault of punchs and kicks knocking the wind out of her as you uppercut her with an attack similar to Andy Bogard's "Shouryuudan"...

Though instead of falling, Bizuki's body disapears in a busrt of Purple Flames, the lights of the Carnival's Arena going out in an instant as you land on your feet with some difficulty, the smelll of death in the air as you see a small bit of light coming out from the door as you feel like your head's about to explode, dropping down to the dirt floor of the "Ring" as you clutch your head, the urge to scream building...

You struggle to get on your knees as you look up and see "お前はもう死んでいる" ("You are already dead") etched in the sand in front of you, glowing in a bright red as you feel like your head litterally exploded after reading that as you slump, then fall over backwards...

>Meanwhile...

"Officer Ryan!?" Seth yells, Vanessa & Ramon following him inside the dilapidated, Tent-Like buildind along with a dozen of the South Town Police Department's finest holding "Hurricane" flashlights, looking around until they find "Blue Mary" laying down on the ground.

"Stand back!" Seth barks, most of the officers heading back to get them while Vanessa and Ramon look over at her with worry on their faces, but remaining silent as Seth does one last look around before signalling them

"Mary? You still with us?" Vanessa asks, seeing that her eyes are open, but with a slightly "Dead" or "Hollow" look to them.

"Damn... Looks like something got her good" Ramon jests as Seth puts a gloved hand to her neck, checking her pulse. "She's alive and it doesn't look like there's any bruises on her" Seth notes, looking at her through the light of one of the officer's flashlights, adding "And her heart beat's fine."

"What do you think might've happend? Could it have been our POI's doing?" Vanessa asks, thinking of the one time she had seen him as her sides hurt from that one nagging injury she had recieved from him...

"Seems like it... But we can't be certain; All we can do now is put her under our medical care and see if she can fight out of it" Seth replies as the medical crew arrives, stretchers and penlights accompanied by the INCREDIBLE wattage of the officer's two-handed flashlights.

"Well, that should take care of her for a while" Bizuki Iijima thinks to herself, using the little energy she has left to disguise herself as particularly odd-looking clown statue holding a "You must be THIS TALL to enter" sign, watching the paramedics cart Mary away and trying to stiffle a chuckle at their paltry attempts to revive her, the spell she had placed on Mary not even close to breaking.

"I better head back home before they expose me; Besides, "Real Blood's" on tonight" she ponderss, waiting for everyone to leave before vanishing into thin air...

>You now assume control of Katja Hartkern

>Date: Thursday, May 17th

>Time of Day: 1 AM

You had quite a few restless nights in the past, but this was one that you didn't expect to have, especially with what you were planning to do tomorrow; That abdominal cramp you had before going to bed came back with a vengance around an hour after falling asleep, the pain somehow even feeling worse while in bed.

Naturally, you got up, did a few stretches that eased it somewhat and went back to sleep... Only for it to show up AGAIN exactly one hour later, just a stroke after Midnight. With nothing better to think of, you again stretched the pain-inducing spot out, feeling MUCH better this time around and going off into a dreamless sleep...

When you woke up at around 9:30 AM, the clock radio on soe kind of call in show with a guy stating "I, did not have sex, with that Sea-Cucmber" in an accent that had him come from the south, though you're not quite sure if you really slept through the night or not as you quickly get changed into a pair of panties, some old jeans that look ripped up,an Orange T-shirt and your riding leathers (Not being able to find a bra, or any other clothes for the matter) before head downstairs, grabbing your wallet and cellphone along with your gloves and Helmet as you walk past the lobby and head down to the parking garage, your trusty Triumph Thruxton motorcycle waiting for you, though you don't recognise the leather saddlebags on the sides or thhe odd-looking exhausts...

Still, you put the key in the slot and start it up with your foot, feeling the engine vibrate and the roar of the engine from the exhausts out back really bring out the tuneful growl of the engine as you put the bad boy into gear and ride out into traffic, zooming as fast as you dare with as little traffic in sight as you've ever seen in a year of living in South Town.
>>
>>30199463

You take the expressway and ride down to China Town, going past "The Sleeping Dragon Pharmacy" without a second glance and head down to a slightly-dingy looking building with a sign you can't read, parking up on the curb next to what you can see is Andy Bogard's car, a crowd forming near the entrance that seems to stretch around the block as you shove your way past, walking into a surprisingly-large, though poorly-lit arcade filled with just about every kind of amusement imaginable as well as several games that bear the famed "King of Fighters" insignia on them...

YOu don't pay any of them any heed and try to muscle your way to the sounds of a commotion going on in the back, somebody going on a "High-Score Run" of a game or something, but hear Tsuyako Horikawa's voice cheer over the sound of the crowd and start to jog, dodging others milling about to get to the back and see what she's up to...

You finally start to see her standing up, dressed with an extra-long headband with Japanese script written on it and dressed in a long, black overcoat that also has words on it you can't quite make out as you and a few others start to watch her play on an Arcade machine called "Fatal Fight: The Knights of Armani", your eyes (And the others watching, Fiona Graves and Mai Shiranui among them) struggling to keep up with the frankly INSANE action on the screen, the atmosphere unusually tense as Tsuyako seems to be fighting the last boss of the game, her hands moving in a frenetic, yet delicate grace that you've never seen anyone be able to do as sweat starts to form on her hands, Fiona quietly removing her coat to reveal that she's in her Wrestling Gear, noting that she's not wearing tights underneath her tiny One-Piece Red & White leotard and vaguely wondering if the amount of guys here aren't exactly watching her play...
>>
>>30199915

However, thoughts like that desert you as she locks up, the crowd cheering as the words "Mission Clear!" flashes on the screen and a man in a suit walks over, announcing that "It's a NEW WORLD RECORD!" when the arcade cabinet's screen flashes white, a bright light filling the room as a powerful vortex starts sucking everyone around the machine into it...

You try to grab onto the railings of a "Dancing Fool 3: EXTREME EDITION" Machine, a few others grabbing onto your feet but the pull is too strong and you let go, falling into an endless void of white, your eyes "Blanking out" and an INCREDIBLE pain shoot through your stomach. You quickly try to rub the pain out and start to regain your vision as you do so, seeing the world around take shape... and reveal itself to be a cityscape at night.

Slightly confused, you look around and wonder if you somehow warped to another, more elaborate part of China Town, as the buildings SEEM familiar enough... Though, your lack of a Helmet makes you wonder if you really ARE still in South Town or not.

You take a look around and start walking north from your starting point, admiring the the scenery and feeling suspiciously out of touch with your surroundings, seriously wondering you ended up going to Japan through that arcade cabinet or something... Though your ears perk up a little as you hear the sound of four, maybe five guys laughing in a back alley, all of them speaking English. You run over to where you here them and pull your back flush to a wall around the corner of where they are, peaking ariund said corner and watchng five oddly-dressed Black guys go to town on a white dude that looked like the bastard child of Actor Nicolas Cage and "Country Rock" star Chad Kroeger (Though you didn't know who either of those people were)...

"Muthafuckah what makes you think I care? SHUT THA FUCK UP!" you hear the supposed leader of this gang (Noted by his tall stature, large build and different style of dress compared to his peers) yell, kicking the dude in the stomach as the others start stomping him, a small dog barking somewhere as you try not to make yourself noticed...

Which backfires when one guy wearing "Street" fashion straight out of the tackiest part of the 1980's sopts you and yells "HEY! What'da the HEYLE you think you doin'?!", running up at you with a knife and his arm outstretched, though you end up grabbing his arm and slam him into the brick wall behind you, knocling him out.

"Aw shit, what happened to Truck Stop?" hear a guy yell as you ponder your options...

You assume a defensive stance as you hear a disembodied voice yell "TUTORIAL MISSION: START!!!", surprising you a little as you land a standing hard kick on the firts thug you see, hopping back as you avoid the "Leader's" straight punch while dodging another fellow's back-handed blow and counter it by slaming him into the nearby brick wall, then pulling a "Tani Otoshi" and chucking him backwards into his "Homies", knocking all four of them down.

You unzip your leathers a little for better freedom of movement, then rush towards them and hit a "Kohou", a bright trail of Electricity following it and stunning at least two of the remaining four, NOT including the guy you just "Cold-Clocked" with your fist... The other three look like they're about to run, but the "Leader" of the gang pulls out a gun and shakingly aims it at you, stammering out "Y-Y-You t-think you hot shit bitch?! Go back to your "Damn Yankees" or whatever the fuck you call yourselves and leave us alone! This is ARMANI turf, you dig?"

You've seen this kind of thing all before in South Town, a gun being pointed in someone's face; The difference was that it usually happened to someone else...

You keeping looking at him, finding the nerve to smile at the poor sod and laugh, looking as though the devil himself had control over you as the "Leader" still has his finger on the trigger.

"You think this is fuckin' funny huh!? You think I'm dickin' around with an empty gun?!" he yells, shotting a round off into the sky and then pointing it back at you, though you laugh harder at him, a genuine laugh now at how ridiculous this all seems as the perp's eyes widen...

"Nigga, let's roll before she goes ape-shit on our ass" the last remaining member of his gang tells the dude with the gun, the other guy in the baseball cap already running away from the sight of you as you slowly walk towards the two of them, running out of breath while you try to keep laughing as long as you can, seemingly scaring them long enough to grab his gun and fling it behind you, glaring at the two of them eye-to-eye.

"Fuck this shit; I'm out of here!" you hear him say as he turns and flees the scene, his buddy following him as you take a long breath the moment they get out of earshot, getting some much-needed air back into your lungs as you start to walk over to the guy that had been roughed up, a cute little dog licking at his face.

"Yeh, it's OK Jenny, I know..." you hear him mumble as you offer him a hand helping him get back up and helping him dust himself off.

"Thanks for helping me out back there dude" he tells you as you pat him on the arm.

"No worries mate; You know where we are? I'm a little lost right now" you ask, but not before he cuts you off and says "HOLY SHIT you're a woman; Dude, really? That's... Wow, I'm sorry for putting you this stuff."

You try to ignore the crack at you womanhood and reply "I'm used to it... But like I asked, where are we? I... Had too much to drink last night, y'know?"
>>
>>30205235

"Yeah, I understand; This is Japan Town... You're up from Crosley Square, right?"

"Nah Mate, I just got in tonight..." you reply, looking more and more like you're wasting precious time talking to this guy as something compells you to just start runnig down the street in front of you, or even back from where you had came from...

"Hey, Killer Kat! What's up?" you hear Fiona Graves yell, turning to see her and Tsuyako Horikawa standing out near the alleyway where you caught sigh of all of this start.

"Just cleanin' up some trash s'all; How're you two?" you answer, asking the guy "You gonna be alright out here...?"

"Baxter... And yeah, I should be fine; I totally forgot about this" he pauses, showing you a ring on his right hand as you nod, then start to run towards Fiona & Tsuyako, noting that they're both dressed in Black Jackets, Fiona in a long overcoat that barely covers her Black Leather "Outfit" (Mostly resembling a pair of fishnet tights, a set of bottomless chaps over them and biker boots that you'd wear, though Fiona's look a lot more fashionable and slightly "Armor"-like in design, along with a black top that almost looks strapless and is wrapped around her incredible chest like Bandages) with Tsuyako in a darker, more muted-looking variant of the One-Piece Swimsuit you recall seing her in earlier, the same black coat she had on from before without wording on it; An intricate design of a Tsunami wave crashing over a beach and done in a style similar to a Japanese Ukiyo-e painting replacing it instead...
>>
>>30205925

"hey guys... Sorry 'bout that, but what's the plan?

"Jeez, you forgot already? I think you've been hitting the sauce too much" Fiona jokes, her tone switch to a more serious one as she explains "Someone's taking a shot at us and is trying to destabilize the peace agreement that;'s in effect."

"How so?" you ask, totally in the dark as you and Fiona follow Tsuyako out to a lethal-looking Humvee convertible that has faux Military writing on the sides of it.

"Someone's kidnapped Mai-Sensei and Mary-chan's missing... And anyone finds out, the treaty we worked our asses off to get will crumble" Tsuyako adds, her voice sounding a little bit rougher than you had ever heard her and her english colored with a slightly southern United States "Twang".

"Either way, we've got to take care of this before the big guys send out The Knights of Armani; If they do, we're all screwed" Fiona mutters, hopping into the driver's seat as you get in the back, Tsuyako riding shot-gun as Fiona starts the engine up, an impossibly catchy "Euro"-sounding Techno track blasting from the sound system as the three of you drive off into the neon-colored night...

Yep. This was basically an abridged outline of an idea for a "Beat'em Up Anime" I had posted during one of those "Create An Anime" threads on /a/ (With a few switch-arounds here and there).

Also, I have plans for more stages based on player feedback, but I don't know how many I'll get to do tonight...

>Pic Related was a fairly big influence on this dream sequence, as well as the game "Sengoku 3" to keep some Neo-Geo goodness in mind... I also have to mention an absolutely AMAZING import-only game I played as a kid called "Guardians: Denjinn Makai 2" that basically has the mechanics for this sequence; Though it's not SNKP-Related, It's a Beat'em Up that plays like a fighting game, complete with Special Attacks and "Super Moves" in the same way fighting games do... Also, it features quite possibly the thickest female enemies in videogame history)

You ride out through the night, the infectuous beat of the music "Grabbing" you somewhat as Fiona nods to it, a grin on her Face while Tsuyako rather coldly sits in the passenger seat up front, the night air feeling wam against your skin though before the three of you know it, Fiona pulls up to another seedy-looking back alley, a mean-looking army of Skin-Heads, Punk Rockers, fat guys that look like they stepped out of an Anime Club and others seemingly waiting for the three of you, complete with the "Usual" assortment of knives, pipes, Two-By-Fours and the Otaku holding "Katana-Shaped Objects"....

"Looks like word go out early... I be someone put a bounty on our heads too" Tsuyako muses, cracking her knuckles and tightening up her headband.

"Figures; When it rains, it pours I guess... Let's just get this over with by sunrise" Fiona ponders, stretching her neck back and forth and rotating her shoulders in a clockwise motion.
>>
>>30207020

Right... So, you wanna knock these poor blokes around like bowlin' pins or what?" You jest, taking a few breaths as the three of you get out of your Humvee, staring down the mod that looks like they'll lynch you and hang you out to dry as Tsuyako & Fiona take their coats off and fling them into the Humvee, you catching them and making sure that they get folded as the mob seems to be waiting for you to make the first move.

"So, you REALLY want to join us on this one Kat? You never were that good at crowd control..." Fiona tells you.

"We could probably take these suns of bitches on ourselves... Maybe you could call up one our boys back home and watch after our rig while they get here?" Tsuyako asks as you wonder what to do, as the expressions on most of the guys (And some of the girls) take a turn for the deviant...

You nod, grabbing your Cellphone while Fiona & Tsuyako charge into battle, sending enemies flying as you get out your Cellphone and check your contactsm seeing a "DY" at the end of a few names you don't recognize and shrug, calling one up

"Yello? 'Sup Kat?" you hear a dude with a voice that screams "Surf Rock" ask.

"Nothing much Rocket; I was wonderin', could you and a friend head down and collect our car? We're at... Oi! Fiona! Where're we at!?"

"SIXTEENTH & PRESTON AVENUE, NEXT TO THE CURIO SHOP WITH THE MANEKI OUT FRONT!" she yells, not quite 100% comfortable with talking and rocking six guys in a fight as Tsuyako comes in to help her disarm one of the fat Otaku-Types that was wielding a pair of Sais.

"You get that mate?" you ask, noting that Fiona & Tsuyako ARE doing a hell of a job keeping the nameless moks at bay while you're on the phone.

"Yeah, I'll bring Joey with me; We'll be there soon... Later brah" "Rocket" replies, hanging up on you as you casually slip your phone back into your jeans pocket, then yell "AWRIGHT! Free Ass whupin's hot and ready for ya'! Step right up!" and sock a guy in the face with a "Ha'oh Raijinken", rocketing him into four others as you hear Tsuyako yells "Bout Damn Time you jumped in!"

"Yeah, Rocket's commin' over with Joey!" you yell, landing a few punches and kicks on an older, balding guy with a beer gut and a baseball bat, grabbing the bat from him and sending him flyin with a good "Crack!", then throwing it at a skin-head-looking dude that was trying to shank you with a hunting knife, using the stun to Hien Shippu Kyaku him and three others that got caught up in the blast of Electricity.

However, the swarm of enemies seem to be endless, whip-wielding women in vaguely Nazi-ish uniforms trying to get the range game on all three of you along with creepy-looking clowns smaking people over the head with oversized shoes and tripping EVERYONE up with Yo-Yo's starting to show up as you wonder "When're those guys gonna get here?", the toll of the newer combatants attacks getting to you here and there as you try to protect the Humveeat all costs...

you start to feel a little wary about the increasingly-strager-looking enemies that keep comming at you, Tsuyao & Fiona from all directions, so you focus on doing attacks that can "Control the Crowd" of enemies gathering around the three of you as you idly wonder how much longer you'll have to keep fighting like this (Mainly because the second wave of enemies are getting tougher o deal with).

you bash a creepy-looking circus clown in the face with a Ha'oh Raijinken, knocking him and two others back long enough to Thrust Punch them while dodging one of the SM Women's whip attacks, only to get hit in the face with an errant Bananna Cream Pie, blinding your visio for a few seconds.

"Damn, they're still goin' strong" you think to yourself, putting up a solid defense as you try to wipe the cream off of your eyes, hoppping back wards as you hear the crack of whips at your feet...

Though curiously, you hear Fiona Tackle into one of them, the sound of the impact like a Semi Truck hitting a brick wall as you wipe the cream off of your eyes and see that there's hardly anyone left around to fight, the moans and groans of the beat-up bodies overwhelming as you duck a strike and hit the last guy within your general area with a Hien Shippu Kyaku, canceling it into a Kohou when you see him bounce off of a lamp post as you look around, seeing piles of Money, what look like Energy Drinks and various pieces of food (Apples, a Roasted Chicken, A Steak Dinner, A couple boxes of Pizza and a Cake) all mysteriously glowing and floating sligthly above some of the fallen enemies, most of the other stragglers having fleed in terror at the combat prowess of all three of you...
>>
>>30213605

"You better get some of this before we take it all sweetie!" Fiona yells, scooping up the Steak Dinner and some cash while Tsuyako grabs the Cake and starts eating it with a knife and fork that was at the side of the plate the Cake was on.

You shrug, then pick up the Roasted Chicken (An odd voice yelling "CHICKEN!" as you pick it up) and start munching on it, feeling your vitality restore itself a little, the quietness of it all seemingly getting on your nerves...

"You think they're'll be another wave?" you ask in between stuffing your face, finishing off your food greedily before going to collect the money lying around, pocketing around $600 total.

"Nah, doesn't feel like it" Fiona replies in between the last bites of eating her steak.

"We should probably find somebody we DIDN'T beat half-to-death and interrogate him just-in-case there is: No point in trying to go after someone without any knowledge" Tsuyako adds, licking her fingers as you hear the sound of a scooter ride up towards the Humvee, then stop as two guys in odd-looking leathrsuits like yours pull up to the curb.

"Sorry we're late dudettes; Traffic was a mess downtown" you hear "Rocket" say, though your eyes are more interested in the wild-looking blonde hair he has, the other guy (Who you presume is "Joey") hops off the scooter and tells you "If you need anything, just call us up OK? We're going to chill at a safehouse nearby."

"Damn guys, what took you so long? You missed out on all of the fun!" Fiona grins as she looks around for someone to interrogate, Tsuyako sighing with a shrug at not finding anybodyworthwile...

"Sounds good gents, but if you'll excuse me" you tell Rocket and Joey, heading over to join Fiona & Tsuyako's Search...

You look around, trying to find someone among the broken bodies the three of you pummeled to talk to, but can't seem to find any as you curse your luck and look around, again an uneasy feeling overcoming you...

Tsuuyako breaks the silence by yelling "Found one!", pulling up a guy that looks like he was on his way home from football practice by the collar of his letterman jacket, hearing her yell "Who you workin' for?" as you head over to listen in.

The guy coughs a little, his eyes blood-shot and a cut on his bald head trickling blood down his face as you tell him "C'mon now, it's gonna be OK: We won't hurt you anymore as long as you tell us what we want to know's'all."

"Listen to her dude, because right now you're looking at the three strongest women in the city..." Fiona adds, bending over slightly to give him a "Show" of sorts and possibly entice him to talk...

The guy smirks, then mumbles "The big guys out near San Viejo, The clowns up north near the amusement park" pausing, coughing a little as he tries to find his words, "And... The dockworkers got in on this..."

"Sunnofa... I figured that they might've got their ducks in a row and started blastin' us at the first chance" you hear Fiona mutter, crossing her arms and pouting a little as you watch Tsuyako dropping the guy down onto the sidewalk and tell him "Thanks... Now get some sleep" before knocking him out with a slap across his face.

"Shit, you didn't need to do that" you hear Fiona tell her, your mind wondering if this is how Tsuyako's mom acted when she was younger as she turns to you and asks "Well, who do you want to go after first? the Park they're talking about's probably doable on foot, the Docks are around here somewhere..."

"But the lard-ass that runs San Viejo's stronger than both of them; Could be easier to go after him first while we've got our strength" Fiona chips in, rotating her arms to keep them loose in case somebody tries to mug the three of you...

"OK... I'm thinkin' we should go up North first; Those clowns creeped me RIGHT the fuck out" you reply, Fiona nodding in agreement before you add "But maybe we could find a place to stock up on supplies first?"

"That sounds good... I bet there's a store around here somewhere" Tsuyako agrees as you and Fiona follow her, all three of you keeping your guards up in case of any surprise attacks but mostly to look intimidating to anyone that might try them...

Eventually, the three of you arrive at the "Rising Dragon" Pharmacy, looking a bit like Lee Pai Long's shop as you walk in, the store filled with an overwhelming smell of tea as you head up to the counter, Fiona & Tsuyako browsing the aisles.

Soo after you ring the small service beel, a cloud of dust appears before you, revealing a man dressed in clothes remeniscent of an eastern monk, a large Bamboo hat covering his face and a staff at his back... "I see that we have customers" he mumbles, then asks "What can I get for you?"

"Uh... Well, I can't recall what I was looking for, but maybe you could help me out?" you ask, all of this feeling surreal as it looks EXACTLY like Lee's shop inside, right down to the posters on the wall being in the same spots (Though the posters themselves are different).

"This is a store that allows a warrior such as yourself the chance to better yourself using several kinds of herbal remedies to achieve fighting nirvana" he coldly states, adding "We also have a selection of items in the back, if you're so inclined."

"What kind of items?" you ask, keeping your voice low and hoping that it isn't something illicit like "Dragon Pills" (Or this world's equivalent to them)...

"That's none of your business; Besides, I cannot let anyone into the back storage rooms without a pass... A lot of items are stored there and while I'm not worried about thieves and vandals, I like to keep my security tight."

"I see" you reply, thinking about how to spend your money...

You think about how little damage your attacks seemed to have done for a moment, then ask "Do you have anything that could increase my Power? Or defense maybe?"

"I only sell permanent attribute enhancers here; I'd try to find a more convenient store for what you're lloking for" the man says as Fiona & Tsuyako walk over to the register, herbs and oddly-painted cans of some kind of drink overflowing from there hands.

"Oh...'Kay then, I'll go grab some healin' stuff then" you reply, Fiona & Tsuyako too busy trying to barter and get the price to go down to notice you look around for some consumables. Eventually, you find what you're looking for, but are aghast at the price: You could either choose one item that completely restores your health INSTANTLY, three Healing Items that can recover around 50% of your health or Six that look to be for decoration, as you can't seem to find how much health they can restore...

"Blood y 'ell, these prices're RIDICULOUS" you grumble, taking a look at the 50% health items a little bit.

Fiona yells "You ready!?" and you grab the three 50% Health Regeneration Items and head up to the register, the Monk-Cashier looking your choices over and rining you up...

"That'll be $607.50", please" he says as your eyes widen, wondering why you hadn't though of sales tax when you grabbed them as you quickly grab out your wallet and find that you've only got a $5 Bill on you...

"Er... Could you maybe lop off another Two-Fifty?" you ask, trying to be polite but the monk shakes his head, grabs his staff and stomps the bottom of it into the floor.

"C'mon now, It ain't THAT much... And I'll pay you back when I can, honest" you point out, though the monk again

"Just leave it... I'll chip in some extra for you" Fiona says, handing you the last amount of money she has... And see that you're STILL a Nickel short of your purchase.

"Really now? C'mON mate, I really ned the" you say before getting cut off by the monk's staff pointing at you, the man's fearsome face and equally scary-looking scar glaring back at you.

"If you cannot pay, then you cannot buy" he coldly intones, adding "Now LEAVE. At once."

"What'll it take to buy the stuff I couldn't before?" you ask, hoping

"I SAID, GET OUT!" he roars, the sight of a large, possibly demonic hand made from the same dust cloud you saw earlier grab you and then kick you out the door, though you Ukemi out of it and stand up at him, givig the old guy "The Italian Salute" before dusting yourself off and walking over to Fiona & Tsuyako, both of you looking a bit annoyed at your antics.

"Can we stop horsing around and get going? We've got a lot of ground to cover" Fiona tells you as Tsuyako leads the three of you northward, trying to rub the spot where that ghostly being kicked you on your back as you walk...

'Kay, rolling against (AKA "Maluses").
>>
>>30221926

The walk up north was fairly uneventful, especially as the three of you took a route that ended up going past most of civilization as you had known it, arriving at the still-new looking remains of an abandoned theme park...

"Keep your guard up and don't get scared Kat; Most of these guys can't fight for shit and use gimmicks to distract you" Tsuyako tells you as the three of you hop over the turnstyles of the Park's gates and watch the lights flip on, the rides starting to spring into action and the usual "Carney" music start to play, hearing Fiona mutter "Well, at least they threw out the welcome mat for us" as you put your hands up in a defensive stance, just in case you slip on a banana peel or something...

The three of you then start to scatter as a few buff-looking clowns in garrish outits start chucking comically-oversized sticks of TNT and Bombs at you, the park turning into a warzone in an instant as swarms of clowns of all shapes, sizes and colors start to come out of hiding spots in the background, all of them with deadly glares in their eyes...

"They sure as shit ain't fuckin' around tonight!" you hear Fiona yell as you try to deal with the odd attacks that they seem to have; One of them socking you in the face with a Wind-Up "Punch-in-the-Box", a rather sexy lady magician whipping and tossing you into a guy the size of a brick house (A Carnival Strongman, most likely) and does a sloppy-looking powerbomb, knocking the wind out of you as you try to roll to your feet, only to get knocked back by a clown that was juggling bowling pins at you...

"Right, that's enough 'o' this shit!" you yell, a menacing look in your eyes as you start to fight back, landing a few straight strikes and round house kicks, watching your attackers fall like dominoes as you discover that even the "Strongmen" aren't all that tough; A "Strong" Kohou knocked one out cold and a Hien Shippu Kyaku was enough to launch and smash a whip-wielding magician through a tent...
>>
>>30223434

To your surprise, a stampede of Animals escaped from the tent and started going on a rampage thoughout the park, helping you, Fiona & Tsuyako "Clean Up" the others that had come out to "Greet" you...

"Holy SHIT!" you hear Tsuyako yell, nearly getting gored by a stampeding Rhinocerous as you focus on dealing with a few Gymnast-Midgets, noting that they look like miniature horro film characters (Almost) as you try to dodge their knive-throwing attacks, more damage getting dealt to you as you blast them back in return with a "Ha'oh Raijinken", your leathers getting cuts and tears here and there as you feel that the last of them are gone, the carnival lights and Sounds the only thing you and the others hear...

Fiona takes a look at you, panting a little as she asks "You need a rest?"

You think it over, then shake your head "No" and reply "Nah, let's get goin' sunshine."

Fiona smiles at you while you hear Tsuyako yell "C'mon, let's GO!" as the three of you strat to explore the park, seeing the sights and runing across a few stragglers that didn't make it all the way to the front to join in on the brawl from earlier; You take a much more defensive style this time around, defending with great aplomb and counter-attacking like no one's business, though you note that your attacks seem weak...

"Fiona! Y'got any power posters!?" you yell before getting knocked upside your head by a beefy Pro-Wrestler-looking dude in a cheesy mask, Fiona covering for you as you struggle to get back up and away from a pair of Gymansts that fought like they were insepperable, doing "Tag-Team" moves off of one another and generally pissing you & Fiona off, thoughtsuyako ends up dealing with them one-by-one with a Suplex and a Side-Slam, respecively...

"Here... Take one of these" Fiona says, outstretching her palm and handing you a n odd, pill-like tablet that's bright red. You look at her for a second as Fiona heads out to cover for Tsuyako (Who's getting swamped by more of the Knife-Wielding Midgets) and pop the pill into your mouth, grabbing a can of that funky-looking energy drink floating above the wrestler Fiona wrecked to wash it down...

Suddenly, your mout feels like it's on fire as you spring upright and start going INSANE with a rain of punches and kicks, taking attacks from enemies like they were mere mosquito bites (Even not flinching from getting a Two-By-Four snapped across your back) as you "Clean Up" the others that were bothering Fiona & Tsuyako, then drop down on one knee as the pain starts to return to your body, taking a few deep breaths.
>>
>>30225088

"Aw shit, Katja-SAAAN!" Tsuyako yells, running over as fast as she could to Drop-Kick a guy that had snuck up on you and was about to stick an explosive on your back, Fionarushing over to tackle the guy while he was in Mid-Air and piledrive him into the ground after jumping up to catch him.

"Here, take this" Tsuyako says as she practically forces some bitter-tasting herbs into your mouth, feeling a little better as you chew and suck on them as Fiona & Tsuyako help you up, then walk with you as you head over to a park bench to sit down (Tsuyako checking underneath the bench for more explosives)

"You got to be careful of taking stuff like that; It can really drain you if you don't stop to try and dodge your enemy's attacks" Fiona says asshe stays next to you, putting an arm around your shoulder before asking "You need anything else?"

"I feel REALLY thirsty fer some reason..." You weakly tell her, Tsuyako nodding as she walks over to a vending machine, slowly readies herself and kicks the side of it, a can of "Jolly Cola" dropping out as she pops it open for you, smelling it and taking a smallsip to check if it's poisonous or not.

"Here; It's not to my tastes but you might like it" She says as you taste it, then take a swig of it to get some saliva back into your mouth... Honestly, it doesn't taste amazing (Sensing that it's probably R/C Cola in a different can), but damn if it doesn't taste great right here and now as you polish the can off and smash the can on your forehead, standing up and doing some stretches as you tell her "Thanks... Maybe we could stock up on stuff and raid a few stores before we head on?"

"Sounds good... All that's left to check out is the Circus tent in the center of the park, but that's where these guy's boss is probably hiding out" Fiona replies, Tsuyako nodding as the three of you start to look around for things to "Liberate" from the concession stands...

The three of you look around the small area of the park you're in, looking behind every garbage can, food stand, game of chance and building to try and find something of use in the possible battle ahead...

However, your efforts come up short, as none of you could find anything worthwile (Aside from $50 left in the till of a "Shoot'em Up" gallery)...

"Well that was a bloody waste, wasn't it?" you ask, the carnival fanfare starting to grate on your nerves a little.

"Yeah... But it was good to stop over and check" Fiona replies, rotating her arms as Tsuyako starts hopping in place, letting her shoulders rest and seemingly showing off how much of her body wriggles as she does so...

"Anyway, y'all ready to get out of this dump?" you ask, Fiona & Tsuyako nodding as the three of you head up to the open gates of a large foyer, walking through them and immediately regretting it as they close behind you.

You sigh, wondering who (Or WHAT) you'll have to fight next as an odd-sounding techno track hits your ears, your vision slightly going sepia-colored for a few seconds and a "BBZZZT!" noise snaps everything back into reality (Of sorts) as a small, cloaked figure appears from out from the shadows, dressed up like a fortune teller as her eyes glow Red in the darkness of her cowl.

The three of you assume combat stances as the fortune teller laughs, then whips off her cloak to reveal that she's dressed in a rather "racy" outfit, an odd-looking Kabuki mask over her face as four more clowns jump from outside of the bushes behind her and a fifth one wearing rollerskates and a RIDICULOUS-looking hairdo gets slammed into the ground.

"You involved with the kidnapping of Mary Ryan?" Fiona asks, ready to bust some heads and Tsuyako

"Perhaps... But taking over the reigns of Rolly Po Po is more of my speed, piggie" she says, her masked face almost looking like it's smirking at the three of you as you can feel Tsuyako's blood start to boil...
>>
>>30227211

Her rage doesn't subside as she yells "YOU SAYIN' I'M NOT MOE ENOUGH?", pausing as a crowd of invisible voices ask "WHAT?", then continues (The voices interjecting after each sentence): "YOU'RE SAYING I'M NOT CUTE ENOUGH?" "WHAT?" "YOU SAY I DON'T PANDER TO THE MOE-GOBBLERS?" "WHAT!?" "WELL LET TSUNAMI TSUYAKO TELL YOU SOMETHIN', YOU SONUVABITCH I'M THE KAWAII-EST S.O.B. TO EVER COME OUT OF OKINAWA!"

Tsuyako pauses, looking up at the sky as she asks "IF YOU THINK TSUNAMI TSUYAKO IS KWAII GIMME A HELL YEAH!", Fiona trying not to crack up... Though you and Fiona nearly jump out of fright as people pop up out of every possible nook and cranny to shout "HELL YEAH!!!"

"ENOUGH!" The girl yells, her hands channeling a dark purple energy as she says "With Jokeman here done for", pausing to kick him just in case he IS acually dead and not faking it, "I'M calling the shots up North! And I Say that YOU'RE ALL ALREADY DEAD!!!" Launching a projectile of flames at the three of you, though you all manage to avoid it cleanly as a graphic with the words "KICK THEY'RE ASS!" flashes over the group of enemies in front of you...

You run straight towards the "Boss Lady" Bizuki, your foot outstretched in a Hien Shippu Kyaku kick as Fiona & Tsuyako follow your lead and "Cover" you by beating up the nameless badguys, both of them silently noting that you're bursting with energy...

However, Bizuki blocks the strike with ease and uppercuts you with a blast of wind, then teleports upwards to smash you back down towards the ground.

You only barely miss her drill-dive kick and counter it with a "Wake-Up" Kohou, firmly connecting with her dainty chin, though she ukemi's out of it and lands on your feet with a jumping heel drop, using your momentary confusion to hit you with a backflip kick, launching you into the air before slowly conjuring up a MASSIVE Ball of Electricity, though Fiona shoulder-Tackles her and Tsuyako grabs her and locks in a Torture Rack before Bizuki could fire it at you.

You Ukemi and watch Tsuyako toss Bizuki at you, though she Teleports out of it and smacks Tsuyako towards you. You try to grab her and though you break her fall, you take a pretty big hit (As Tsuyako's a pretty big girl)...

"Thanks... You need a rest?" Tsuyako asks as you gasp for Breath, Fiona seemingly beating the Bricks out of Bizuki as she grabs her in a good'ole Bearhug, looking a bit like she's holding a porcelian dool in her arms as she squeezes her tight...

You slowly close your eyes, feeling a deep energy inside of yourself flare up a littie as you slowly start to channel that energy into your body, your hair standing up on end as Electricity starts to surround you, your eyes feeling slightly itchy as you try to "Ride the Lightning" as you've done before...

Except you feel a sharp, agonising pain in your side, screaming at the top of your lungs as it feels like someone had stabbed you in the ribs... Which is when you wake up in your bed at "The Imperial" with a gasp, you stomach hurting again as you check to see that it's bot quite 5 AM, much earlier than you normally get up...

>A. Rub on your abdomene some more to try and ease the pain, then go back to sleep and try to reconstruct the dream you were having (Roll 2d100 for Luck in stretching out your cramped stomach muscles and Luck in recreating your dream)

>B. Stretch your abs out and try to drift back to sleep... (Roll 2d100 for Luck in getting the cramps to stop and Luck in getting some more sleep)

>C.

>C. Slowly get out of bed, get down on the carpeted floor and try to do some Hyperextensions on your back to "Warm Up", then do some Sit-Ups to try and work out the pain (Roll 2d100 for Dexterity, Strength)

>D. Rustle up your lap-top and see if you can research what exactly is going on with your stomach tonigt? (Roll 1d100 forLuck in finding information about theses symptoms)

WhileI'm not adverse to running a short, "Omake"-Style session today, two big issues stick out in my mind as to why I probably won't be able to:

1) Time & Scheduling:

I've got a lot of stuff to do today and a lot of errands around my town and beyond (I'm supposed to be leaving my house in about an hour, for example) and if everything goes exactly as planned, I MIGHT be able to start up a "Forever Alone" Bonus Round somewhere around 1 PM PST at the absolute earliest, though I'm expecting to be home by 5 PM...

>2) What would happen? Would the story progress? Would ut be about all of those characters that can't seem to find love or hapiness doing so in one day? (Characters off the top of my head being Katja, Andrew Draco, Kazunori Kazahaya and the BBEF Himself, Jean-Claude Gabriel for a start...) Or would it be a barely-legal /u/-filled romp of Katja's most unlimited dsesires, firmly poking fun at those awful "Days of Memories" dating Sims SNKP made?

Regardless, since it IS "Forever Alone Day" for quite a few of us out there on /tg/, here's the source for >>30228360: http://behoimi.org/post/index?tags=iiniku_ushijima

>Pic Unrelated, but an inspiration for a possible "Beat'em Up Quest" Boss...

Maybe we could tackle the repercussions of the photo gig and have Katja suddenly become "popular" among muscle girls weirdos

the day would pretty much be about dealing with them and with a bit of luck (lol) have some of them not be too creepy.

Thread is autosaging.

Might be a good time to make a new one.

Oh god... That could work; I could see some poor "Schmoes" (IE "The REALLY creepy Muscle Fetishists", that's the nickname for them as far as I know) camping outside of The Imperial and try to get her Autograph, or Shermie calling Katja up to arrive for an Autograph session at "Fantastique La Femme"...

Like I said, I won't be around to make one until 1 PM at the absolute earliest... Though I WILL keep up on my Twitter Feed and the Quest Generals for announcements when I can today.
