>What is this?

Saiyan Story is a series of Choose Your Own Adventure threads in which you play the part of a Saiyan Warrior.

>Stats (Bardock)

Power Level: 40,000,000

Health: Excellent

Ki: 100%

>Recap

Due to fear that Fita's parents may be manipulating the minds of your friends, you decided to mentally probe the minds of your friends to see for yourself. You found no sign of tampering. You then played as Bardock, in the woods with your friends Goku, Onia, and Chi Chi. While spending time together, your scouters detected two massive power levels. You fled to the Lookout and mentally contacted your mother, Salta, who soon brought your siblings and other mothers. You told her what happened, and she became very worried, telling you of the visions your father had of this happening.

Damn, and just as I was getting ready to go out.
>>
Alright, so, as many of you know, the voting format was recently changed from the old "first to three" rule to giving 15 minutes to vote and then going with the majority. Many have pointed out that the new voting system causes the thread to move incredibly slowly and takes a good deal of fun out of it. With that in mind, I am allowing a vote to decide on the voting system. There will be thirty minutes to vote.

>A. Stay with 15 minute intervals

>B. First to three (allow extra time to form a consensus if there seems to a good deal of division)

>>30147449
Both are shit. Most support in 10 minutes would move the threads faster AND would allow for more discussion before reaching a consensus than first to three.
>>
>>30147748
Tried that way before, people didn't like it
>>
>>30147767
People don't like 15 minutes either, and you moved away from first to three for a reason.

10 minutes splits the difference.
>>
>>30147767
People didn't like it because they wanted more time to discuss. Now that they see how slow that makes the threads run, 10 minutes seems to have been the better way to do it.
>>
>>30147807
That's why this version of first to three is slightly altered to allow more time if there is division

Im changing to A. because ive seen people use up almost the whole 15 minutes previously writing a large response. Perhaps if there is no disagreement during a voting session we can skip doing the entire ten minutes?

"Your father has been having visions lately of two powerful entities attacking a city" Salta explains. "He never got a clear look at them, just a flash of blonde and black hair, and two pairs of icy blue eyes."

"That sounds familiar" Onia comments.

"Sounds like 17 and 18" Goku says in shock.

"That was what he thought at first" Salta confirms. "But he later had a vision which he experienced in first person. In it, he was easily killed by these two, and for some reason became convinced that they weren't 17 and 18."

"And since we're both right here, it seems that's correct" 17 comments.

"Like I said, he never got a good look at them in the visions" Salta tells you. "All he saw was a small bit of blonde hair and black hair and two sets of icy blue eyes. It was enough to make him suspect 17 and 18."

"Not appreciated, by the way" 18 grumbles.

I'm sure he suspected mind control. Or something.

"Yeah, well, it sounds like he never believed it regardless of how much it may have seemed like it was the two of you. I'd be grateful that he trusted me, if I were in your place."

"What are we going to do here?" you ask. "These things have power levels so high even our new scouters can't read them. I think that puts them above mine and dad's limit."

Fita chuckles. "Our enemies being leagues stronger than us has never stopped us before. I welcome the challenge."

"We shouldn't just rush into this" Salta cautions.

"But if we wait too long, countless innocent people could die" Fita counters.

Salta nods. "You're right, we need to approach this carefully and thoughtfully."

"If we all get together it should make scouting safer for us all" you suggest. "Mom, can you find dad fairly quickly?"

She nods. "Of course, ever since that jockstrap incident, I've made sure I can always find your father quickly. Be right back."

With that, she vanishes.

"All of us going at once might not be a very good idea" Spina says. "Even all of us together are still vulnerable to someone so much stronger. Remember what happened with Android 20?"

You tell everybody to transform first, and so they do. Salta and Spina transform into Super Saiyans, Fita transforms into a Super Human, and you turn into a Super Saiyan 2. Everyone then makes sure they are outfitted with a scouter. With that, you travel to South City via Instant Transmission.

You find yourself standing next to Salta, surrounded by ruined buildings, overturned cars, some of which are on fire, and corpses littering the streets. As you take in the devastation, Salta looks at you.

"Focus!" she hisses.

One is a male with blonde hair and icy blue eyes. He wears a grey jacket, pants, and boots, with the Red Ribbon Army insignia on his chest. He stares up at you and Salta interestedly.

The other is a young woman with waist-length black hair and icy blue eyes. She wears a black t-shirt and matching pants. The Red Ribbon Insignia is written across her shirt. She smirks up at the two of you.

The woman pouts. "And here I was hoping for a challenge."

Suddenly, their eyes flash, and they turn as 17 and 18 land on a nearby rooftop.

"Identified as Androids 17 and 18" the woman comments. "Inferior models, it would be a kindness to scrap them."

"No" the male tells her. "That violates our instructions. And besides, the bomb in 17's chest could pose a problem."

The woman's eyes flash again as she looks at 17. "My scanners aren't detecting an explosive inside of him."

The man smiles. "Well then, their threat levels just decreased even further. Remember, we are not to engage 17 and 18 unless they make direct moves against us."

Well, technically that isn't true. You destroyed the computer, and the two open pods. You destroyed the walls, and the ceiling, exposing the room to the daylight and a pair of amused looking Androids. The other pods are completely unscathed, and you remember when you were in Gero's lab, when 17 and 18 told you how durable the pods were.

I've been doing some thinking.

SSJ1 is a massive improvement to physical abilities and ki. SSJ2 is only double that, and we have a tough time going past it, and kaioken hasn't really proven to be survivable. In fact, drawing ki in SSJ1 has proven more effective in that sense, as we can use Kaoiken to do it.

But what about the oozaru transformation? It's an instinctive state that draws more ki. If we could harness even half that power without transforming into the great ape, and combine it with the "endgame" state that is SSJ2, we'd end up with SSJ3.

It's cute, I'll admit, and it feels like it'd be much faster than using the trick of raising our ki incrementally while in SSJ2.

I also figure you wouldn't give us an enemy that we had no way of beating, so there's got to be some way to finally get to SSJ3. Either that, or we'd be forced to rely on fusion.

Do you have something cool planned for the 100th thread spectacular?

Fluffy is just a whipped bitch. Reprogramming the unfinished androids is a whole different ballgame.

That was mainly a player decision.

I didn't do anything, you guys made those decisions
>>
>>30156633
I'm gonna have the final vote for that next thread, I'm letting you guys decide and am still open to ideas.

You railroaded us into those decisions, more like.
>>
>>30156679
Nah. Recognizing their humanity by calling them "cyborgs" is reserved for models that reject their intended roles as mass-murdering tools of conquest.

21 and 22 do not receive that treatment.

Fair enough

And here it is again

So when you said "interesting" to the idea of drawing on the oozaru state in SSJ2...
>>
>>30156966
It's interesting
>>
>>30157041
You say that, but I can't tell if you mean "interesting" as in "heh, that's cute, good luck with that", or as in "that's a creative potential solution", or as in "fuck, I never thought of that, need to figure out if I want to allow it".

A bit of all three, mostly the second two
