Welcome to another edition of Succubus Lord Quest! Post Midterm edition!

Last time on Succubus Lord Quest, we were brought into the very seduce Pride Demon castle, in fact so secure they were watching you for your own safety 24 hours a day! You decided to get the hell out of dodge and lay low outside the city so that you can actually do things, trading places with some other Succubi who are more than glad to live a life of luxury while getting paid to do so. We now continue from where we left off!

Oh, and Brooklyn is a Sorcerer now!

Also the second post was an ugly post with lots of eyesore text, which is now all compiled here!

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Um4gk-JN4CHFJJdQrJjfbzg6Q8FHcmfxP8sRDhaf-FI
>>
[1/3]

“So what do you... do when laying low?” you ask as you continue to wait in the abandoned building until a specified time.

Ada just appears to look at you flatly as you say that, like an infant asking some stupid question.

“Look I’m a scholar! I haven’t the slightest inkling of how an assassin does things, much less an entire race of them!” you comment.

“Oh? So you think all Laminian’s are assassin’s then?” Ada asks, her own eyebrow twitching.

“Look I didn’t me- OK bad analogy! Look I just want to know what to do so some Pride Demon doesn’t slap a slave collar around my neck!” you reply.

“Don’t do things that call attention to yourself then.” Ada replies.

“What the hell are those!?” you ask.

“It means don’t scream in the street that you’re Brooklyn Browning!” Ada snaps back. “Do something relaxing for the time being! Like maybe reading, because all Okarians are such good readers right!?”

“OK OK you made your point!” you reply. “...Just checking, but would going into the Okarian Library be considered suspicious?”

“The Succubi we are impersonating are near nobodies Brooklyn. Just make sure you’re not seen going into the library proper and I doubt the Okarians will care. It wouldn’t be the first time they’ve had some Okarian’s laying low in there.”

“Even though seeing a Laminian in the library would be considered odd by the Wrath Demons?” you ask.
>>
[2/3]

“How many Okarians, or non-Laminian Succubi, impersonate kids just as a fashion statement? A great deal of Succubi I know often shapeshift because they think the smaller clothing looks cuter on them.” Ada replies. “Get past the doorguards and I doubt that anyone else would bat an eyelash.”

Hm... Ada’s right. This week could be an excellent chance for you to crunch for your Sorcerer training. Plus you know that in the library there is always tension between Okarians and the Greed demons.

Ada pulls out her pocketwatch and checks it. “About time we go on then. I’m heading over to that massage parlor.”

“I’m gonna head over to the library then.” you reply as you wave goodbye to Ada.

******

Appears Ada was right about the doorguards. They didn’t bother checking your name and just went straight to the aetheric signature and the lie testing to see if you were an Okarian, then after that you were allowed right on through.

Making your way down to the blasting radius, you come down to see Griselda on a table, a wide array of modern gun parts for her flintlock pistol on the table as she cleans her pistol, still dressed in her blue winter coat and cap.

“Hey Griselda, I’ve come for the Sorcerer Training.” you reply.
>>
[3/3]

Griselda and a few of her companions just give you an odd stare, trying to figure out who you are but not registering anything.

“This should explain things.” you say, sliding her a note saying how you’re Brooklyn and that you’re laying low. If anything, the heads here should be safe enough.

“Oh, why didn’t you say so.” Griselda says as she makes the note burst into flame before looking down at you. “Are you sure you’re ready for this Kerri? You will not be doing very much other than training, feeding, studying, and sleeping until the week is over.”
>>
>>30149697
"I feel it's the closest things I'll have to relaxing at the moment so yes I'm ready."
>>
>>30149697
If we have nothing else to do, sure. I'd like to contact Janine at some point about slavery and possibly changing her stance on it, as well as Oksana to talk about her lack of direction.
>>
>>30149697
Definitely ready, I'm looking forward to the training.
>>
>>30150024
I don't really have a problem with Janine or the ayarian use of slavery myself I can see the logical reasoning behind it as a race that doesn't produce aether naturally though I'd agree with contacting her to keep her in the known and plan actions against Celestia.
>>
>>30150167
Mainly, I feel it might make alliances more difficult. It's also horrifying that they'd do to humans what pride demons do to succubi without batting an eyelash.

Succubi are weaker now, propping up a weak plan won't work (this is generally what I'd say to Janine).
>>
Is this worth catching up on, or is it fetish fuel stuff?

No judgment, just curious.
>>
>>30150274

I tend not to make it fetish fuel, but then again I'm probably biased in that aspect.

The only thing I did do were two FTB scenes which have no relation to the story and nothing is missed if you decide to skip them.
>>
>>30150274
Part worth catching up little part fetish fuel, we are a lust demon after all.
>>30150270
It's rather hypocritical coming from us after we had the adventurers brainwashed is what I mean.

All right. Archive where, guys?

We haven't used our other methods of Aether gathering much (a debate in a confined room would give us plenty, and plays five us some too). Basically, if we RP it, it's generally better then just a passive idea. Specifically, anything that causes emotion in others.

“Definitely ready, I'm looking forward to the training. I tend to get anxious if I don’t do something at least.” you reply.

“Very well, let’s get on with it then.” Griselda says as she flips out the cylinder of her barrel, loading a few cased bullets into her gun before standing up. “First thing you need to decide is what sort of focus you want.”

“I think have something like that planned out already. I got... ‘friend’ of mine helping out with that.” you reply.

“...You didn’t commission one of those Church of Pamille Miyians to make an item for you right.” Griselda asks you in her monotone voice.

“Uh...” you stammer.

Griselda just sighs. “Biases aside, their super science is a bit iffy. Just get a normal enchanted weapon or an artifact if you can afford giving up the equivalent of your first born. A good focus is able to help one more efficiently channel aether with their spells and help them achieve more damage, which is what sorcerers are all about. Some people, like myself, learn how to channel their unique spells into their own weapons.”

Griselda seems to take aim down at a dummy down below in the pit. Several ruins light up along the barrel of her gun before a small spell circle can be seen in front of it. When she pulls the trigger, the gunshot sounds more akin to an icicle crashing, hitting the dummy and encasing it in ice completely. “Like so.”

“Do all foci need to be weapons?” you ask. “The one’s I’m getting are made from gloves to give a boost to my light magic.”

“No. It can be just about anything that’s often worn or carried on your hands... or feet if you’re skilled at spellslinging with your feet. ...What’s that on your waist?”

“Hm? You mean my axe?” you ask, holding it up.

“You any good with it.” Griselda asks.

“I’m no Belkarian, but I can swing it around without it being a danger to myself or others.” you reply.

“The weapon themselves also tend to have an effect on the end result of the Foci. Axes go good with power, daggers or tiger claws go with speed, spears with piercing spells, and so on. We’re not Belkarians, so instead of learning a new weapon skill from nothing, just go with what feels the most natural for you.” Griselda says.

“But isn’t choosing a foci as a melee weapon a bad idea for a ranged fighter?” you ask.

“No. Battle Mages learn how to channel spells through their weapons safely while in melee range. All Okarians should be able to launch magic through their foci as it’s a channeling tool and not usually a weapon.” Griselda explains.

(Questions or shall I move onto a small timeskip?)
>>
>>30150602
While I understand we should just go with axes, I'd rather use a shield or spear as a foci.
>>
>>30150602
timeskip is good with me.
>>
>>30150602
skip that time
>>
“Are there any other limitations for Foci?” you ask.

“If it’s a weapon, just know how to use it in a basic sense and that’s about it. But before we get any deeper into Foci, let’s start with the base of all sorcerers. Learning the proper aether flows with bare handed casting.” Griselda says as she puts away her weapon while her glows seem to have frosty mist pouring out of them.

******

“Uuuuggghhhh...” you mutter as you make your way back to your place. Griselda wasn’t kidding. The sheer amount of hand movements you had to do and also channel aether through them was quite intense in one sitting. You heard the word “Aether” spoken so many times in one afternoon that you felt it’s lost all meaning to you. You were expecting the Sorcerer’s to be a group of Okarians that are the closest to the simplest magic could be, but boy were you ever wrong.

Using the key to open the room into your new apartment, you can see that it in itself is a complete and utter mess. Seemingly an entire mountain of crumpled up gambling tickets, a wall seemingly shredded by hundreds of missed dart throws, a single pot belly stove with a makeshift exhaust heading out the window, before seeing a mattress with a heap of unmade sheets at the end of it. A clothesline of clothing of all sorts seem to hang above your head in easy reach.

“...Guess she gambled away her Laminian Town home too.” you mutter to yourself.

You groan to yourself as your almighty tentacles of darkness, the ones the Black Flame Hunter uses to strike fear into the hearts of men, are now cleaning the room of the various junk inside of it. You summon a small imp to keep watch of outside. He wants some of the used gambling tickets. Good. You have a literal mountain of the fucking things. You say he can take all he wants before he leaves.

While the tentacles are still cleaning, you take out the candles you bought on your way home and light them up for the ritual. Summoning Janine goes rather smoothly in of itself.

When Janine is summoned, she looks around the area she’s in, her gentle smile going to one of sudden shock. “Oh... My Mary... I didn’t think that one of your hideouts would be... like...” Janine says as she tries to find the correct polite words.

Oh great, she thinks that you’re Oksana’s daughter.

"I'm sure she'd take offense to that Janine, but no it's just poor old Brooklyn still in trouble and needing counseling." you reply.

“Oh Brooklyn! You look so adorable in that form!” Janine replies. “Counseling is easy! First thing you should do is try to cozy up to some sort of rich noble mortal, go real e-”

“Not about leaching off people like that!” you retort. “I’m talking about other things. Mainly how to deal with Celestia.”

“Celestia?” Janine asks.

“They sent a hit squad after me the other day.” you reply.

“Hit squad!?” Janine gasps.

“Yes. It had a slippery assassin type bastard, an armoured paladin type, and an archangel according to a Golden Dragon in our group. Everyone’s fine but our old place was wrecked. I’m like this right now as the Pride Demons were sucking up to the population, giving us deluxe housing when in actuality they were spying on us.”

“They wanted to know the reasoning behind the Celestia attack.” Janine replies.

“Exactly. I’m worried if they’re going to start sniffing around Ada and I soon. For now we got other Succubi to impersonate us until we have a new place to move into.” you reply.

“I’m not Janette when it comes to these matters, but when fighting Celestia remember their assaults are ruthless. If assassination is their goal, they will always fight to the death. I’m not sure about tactics, but I know Celestia prizes their public image above all else. During the fight, the angels you killed vaporized correct?”

“Yes, that’s correct.” you reply.

“Then that is a safety feature. Deniable assets. If the hit squad falls, then there will be nothing left to pin the attack on. Celestia will only use their Heroes and Adventuring groups for taking out visible high profile targets. But if Celestia wants someone gone who will make the Adventurers question their beliefs in a way they dislike, they’ll resort to assassinations and other underhanded tactics. But for them to actually send an assassination group... Brooklyn you must know something that’s dangerous to Celestia, something that could put a real threat in their public image. Any idea what that could be?” Janine asks you.

...Well your father is training a Hero from what you know.
>>
>>30151560
'I'm currently keeping out of the way of the Pride Demons, because Celestia apparently had decided to send a hit-squad after me. My father has apparently been training a HERO of all people, which is most likely connected to why they attacked (describe the size and power of the squad) and hasn't even had time to talk to my sister.

I'm also sorry for not contacting you earlier, my queen. I'd like to get you in contact with Rebecca, the leader of the Miyians here soon, but only after I raid the Celestians to prove I'm not their spy, and deal with my father.

How has you're week been, by the way?"
>>
>>30151985
"My biological father is currently training a hero if that's what you mean, the gemelli press found out about it and now the support I had for the succubus village is crumbling. Rebbeca was kind enough to warn me about that beforehand while strongly hinting at removing my memories as a man."
>>
>>30152015
"My father is training a hero...and hadn't even had time to visit his daughter, my sister, who lives here in the city. They most likely connected me due to not using a cover when helping the Belkarians get on their feet.

Another thing that I know is most of the current succubi in power here may not trust me, beyond Mary. Hitting Celestia would help give a nice cover for my work here."

"My father is training a hero...and hadn't even had time to visit his daughter, my sister, who lives here in the city. They most likely connected me due to not using a cover when helping the Belkarians get on their feet.” you reply.

“A Hero!?” Janine gasps.

“Apparently.” you reply.

“...Yes, Yes I can see how this would cause some discontent with the church. Heroes are some of their greatest assets, and those who teach them are usually the purest in the greatest sense of the word. To discover that one of the professors teaching a Hero has a demonic daughter? ...Well it says something about your father’s importance it that they didn’t just kill him instead of you.” Janine replies.

“You mean they’re going after my father next!?” you say, sitting up in a cold sweat.

“Unlikely. This is Celestia, they’re always going to be taking the easiest route. The fact the hit squad attacked you instead of your father should be proof that he’s still alive.” Janine replies.

You take a deep sigh of relief as you hear this bit of information. “Still there are other matters. People think I’m a Celestia spy now, which is putting a several impact on any sort of support the Succubus Village idea had.”

“They’re afraid of a Succubus Death Camp. Celestia does it often where they get agents to set up demonic villages, severely limit the information flow, then kill any sort of demon that enters it.” Janine replies.

“That’s horrible!” you retort.

“That’s Celestia Brooklyn, and being a demon is anthema to them.” Janine replies.

“How do I conclude that I’m not a Celestia spy?” you ask.

“The problem is that you used to be a mortal, and you were given magical powers. That alone is a flag to some sharp or paranoid Succubi. The assassination attack discredits nothing, as Celestia has done such things against their own agents to strengthen their cover. What you need to do is a massive blow to Celestia. Things such as revealing that you’re the daughter of your father is a good way of angering Celestia and proving yourself. Another option is the extraction of high profile VIP’s such as the Dean of the Celestia college or your father, or the corruption of their precious hero...” Janine seems to give a happy sigh as she stares off into space. “That one is my favorite. So satisfying when it does work...”
>>
>>30152593
"So, I'm guess that mean I'll have to give a shot at corrupting the hero, or if that fail attempt to kill it and bring it's head at the meeting."
>>
"So, I'm guessing that mean I'll have to give a shot at corrupting the hero, or if that fail attempt to kill it and bring it's head at the meeting." you reply.

“You could try, but such a thing would bring down eternal ire from Celestia. They’ll put a bounty on your head. Of course if you have a good command structure, such a thing is only inevitable anyways. I remember the time I fought my first hero...” Janine says recalling with starry eyes. “It was when I was just an advisor to Dutchess Esmeralda, a Dwarven hero and his adventuring group assaulted the castle directly through the wall... My what an exciting time that was...”

“So I’m fucked is what you’re saying.” you reply.

“Oh no! You don’t need to deal with the hero at all if you don’t want to! Just do something involving your father, dean, or a group of professors at the local Celestia college. They don’t need to know about it, but the Succubi leaders obviously will need to.”

(Anything else?)

"One final thing my queen. It's about the slave trade the Ayarians participate in. I wanted to let you know what I have seen, and see of you might consider it's eventual, and I do mean eventual, dismantling." you reply.

Janine just simply shrugs upon hearing this. “Not something I generally agree with, but one where I can see your reasons for even without my mind reading abilities. I won’t be backing down from our deal with you, and I will respect and honor your laws.”

“Other news, the Ayarian city is doing fine right now and tell Oksana I have officially begun my Sorcerer training. For now, I’m heading to bed.” you reply to Janine.

“Goodnight Brookie~.” Janine says waving to you as her form disappears.

At this point you’re just a zombie on two legs. You walk on over to the bed and simply collaspe on top of it.

******

You progression in Sorcerer training proceeds at a rapid pace under the tutlage of Grisleda and other lecturers. She was not kidding about the strain physically, spiritually, and mentally. Most of your time is done cramming, and you need to apologize to your study group for the Sorcerer training, but they don’t seem to mind and actively encourage you to do your best. Your precious little time off is spent flirting at the bars and gathering aether simply due to how hungry you are afterwards. You think you’ve gotten quite skilled at talking to people now, but you’re a bit annoyed at how quickly teenagers go for your your ass or breasts. Seriously at least Amanda had a bit more class than that...

SIX DAYS LATER AFTER BROOKLYN STARTED HIS TRAINING, IN THE PRIDE DEMON CASTLE

The Pride Demon known as Lord Dio finishes up his early morning paper, approving the various sorts of supplies coming in from the Divided States of the breadbasket known as South America. The night has been long and weary, but such a task is it’s own reward. People will have no option but to phrase Lord Dio for taking after them all.

“I’ve come with your morning tea Lord Dio.” the Aide maid says entering the room. Lord Dio is technically a Baron, but he thinks Lord Dio has a better ring than ‘Baron Dio’.

“Good. I, Lord Dio, have just finished the paperwork after all.” Lord Dio says as he puts his quill back into the ink bottle.

Taking the tea, Lord Dio turns his chair around and looks outside at his castle tower. A relaxing cup of tea just as the sun rises up over his castle district, full of his own loyal subjects and fruits of his hard work. Dio cannot help but smile as he watches the first rays of light shine up from behind his castle...

Only to have a series of large explosions rock the castle top, sending debris scattering all over the streets and even a brick through the window.

At first, Lord Dio is stunned... Then quickly becomes angered. That Ayarian bitch Rebecca... You TOLD people that leaving her alone would cause this to happen, but now look at it!

“Oh... You want to play a game Rebecca... FINE! I, LORD DIO, WILL GIVE YOU A GAME!” Lord Dio says crushing the teacup in his hand. He turns around, flicking his cape imposingly in front of the Aide Maid. “Maid! Go gather every Pride Demon in the district! It is time for another hunting spree!”

“Yes sir!” The Aide maid says running off.

For once you’re a bit thankful for the small form, as it easily allows you to squeeze through to the front of the line. Looking on up ahead and past the security line, you can see what appears to be a makeshift medical ward, several Greed Demons are busy trying to heal injuries maids, but as you can see on the ground there are a few tarps over some bodies, including a Pride Demon and a Greed Demon.

“What on earth happened here?” you ask.

“It was another Celestia attack.” a man nearby says.

“What? No. It was those damn Succubi.” a mortal woman says.

“No! It wasn’t any of them! I saw what it was with my own two eyes!” an old begger nearby says.

“Oh?” the woman asks.

“It was the Black Flame Hunter himself it was! A demon with a sicking black flame aura that slaughtered anything that stood in it’s way! It started very early in the mornin’, where the guards refused the fella entrance, but he went ahead and killed them both off before making his way into the castle!” the old man says.

...Oh shit...

You figure enough is enough here. You turn around and begin to head out, just as a few guards are bringing the homeless man into the building where many people go into but they’re never seen coming out of.

“Psst! Over here!” a person calls out in the alleyway.

You turn to look over to who the source of the voice is, and looking over you can see that it’s Leona... Or at least the stand in for her.

“What the hell happened in there?” you ask walking up to Leona.

“I don’t know! All I remember is that I was sleeping on the bed wondering about breakfast, before I felt the ground shaking. When I walked out in the hall, all I could see was this... thing. A male in a darkness aura cutting the guards apart as if they were wheat before smashing a Greed Demon’s head against a wall! I was too scared to do a damn thing but close the door and pray it’d ignore me, but it did.” The fake Leona replies.

“And after?” you reply.

“I... I only heard noises after that. The damn thing must’ve had fake Brooklyn as a target, as it killed her date without mercy before attempting to kill her. I swear it’s only because she’s an Aide that she’s alive, but for some reason the creature stopped just before he had a chance to finish her off. After that the security force arrived, and the creature just used some sort of... bigass spell to nearly level the entire floor!” The fake Leona looks behind her, seemingly just as afraid as the real Leona is. “Look! I’m out man! I don’t want to deal with this anymore! I don’t want to see that fucking thing again for as long as I live!”

"Believe me, if I'd known that would have happened, I wouldn't have let anyone be there instead of me. Is everyone ok?" you ask.

“The girl who played as Brooklyn got her arm cut off along with a few light attacks, but she’ll live.” the fake Leona replies.

“Were you followed?” you ask.

“Of course not!” she whispers. “I’m using light magic to make sure no one sees us now!”

“Good. Keep going for just a little while longer. I’m going to be meeting up with the rest of the group and we’ll be discussing matters then. Keep an ear out for my messenger imps.” you reply.

“O-OK!” The imposer Leona says as she dons her cloak on once again.

“Fucking zombie.” you mutter as you summon an imp to deliver the message.

******

Two hours later you’re at a meeting place down in the abandoned district, using the abandoned building that Sebastien scouted out earlier. Apparently he’s been doing some work housekeeping... Or as much as this could be called housekeeping. Doors are nothing more than curtains while each bed has a pile of blankets of a mattress.

“Hope you don’t mind a place lacking the comforts.” Sebastien says as he puffs on a cigerette.

“I like being alive more than comfy.” you reply.

“Most people do.” Sebastien replies.

“Oh man... There isn’t even anything to drink here...” Brodin mutters.

“We need you sober for this.” you reply.

“But not even a simple glass of water...” Brodin mutters.

“Check the water container over in the corner. Should have enough to scoop up a mug of water, and for gods sake use a mug.” Sebastein says.

“Alright alright...” Sebastien mutters.

“Are we late for the party?” Erika asks as she walks down into the area.

“Oh Brooklyn!” a woman with Mina’s voice says, having white skin, red glasses, and long green hair. She runs up to you, picking you up off the ground before giving you a tight hug. “You look so cute!”

“The castle? Does anyone know what happened to the castle?” an asian looking woman with Leona’s voice asks.

“I heard it was the work of Celestia.” Nalika replies.

“I heard it was Rebecca finally starting to get serious.” Wilhelmina replies.

"I heard from someone who said they saw it themselves that it was the Black Flame Hunter." you reply.

“Oh no, not that thing again...” Amanda says with a sigh.

“The Black Flame Hunter?” Nalika asks.

“Some sort of psychopath and kills nearly everything it encounters. It used to be a myth, but has been getting quite popular in recent days.” Ada replies.

“...We’re not fighting it in a bar again.” Brodin warns.

“...Oh no! Our doubles!” Mina says dropping you.

“Our doubles are fine, but I can’t say the same about the security force.” you reply. “Needless to say the doubles are spooked now and want out of the deal.”

“Isn’t that going to be a problem for you Brodin? The Pride Demons won’t be spyin’ on ya anymore, but now you’ve got that thing actively hunting you again.” Sebastien warns.

“It’s only been a little less than two weeks too! What remarkable regeneration speed!” Stacy exclaims.

“That’s because they must not have cut it to pieces when it first died.” you reply. “According to the book I read, the more damaged it’s body is the longer it takes to regenerate.”

“Then why don’t we vaporize it?” Katlin asks making her hand catch fire.

You shake your head. “You’ll only piss it off when it does regenerate back together somewhere else.”

“Inquiry, then how do we kill it.” Mina asks.

“Not that far in the book yet.” you reply.

"Either way this could be a blessing. The Pride Demons will be looking for it moreso than anything else right now." Sebastien replies.

“By the gods! How is she!?” Leona asks.

“She’s an Aide, so she’s fine albeit missing an arm. Also, I think they all deserve hazard pay for this, they didn't know this could happen to them coming into this."

“I’ll arrange some extra payment for them in that regard.” Ada replies.

“Indeed, only proper that a body double should get hazard pay.” Amanda replies.

"I'll finish the book as soon as this is over, but supposedly Death or Spirit magic could stop it. I think the idea is to attack it's spirit rather then it's body." you reply.

“...Can the Reaper do it?” Wilhelmina asks, you swear you can almost hear fear in her voice.

“...Where’s the adventurer group?” you ask.

“Out getting new stuff!” Mina replies.

“We pay them?” you ask.

“This place is fairly safe. If that thing does fine it’s way here, I rigged it so the entire place will collapse on it’s head. Should slow it down.” Sebastien replies. “So what’s the plan of action going to be for the next while Brooklyn?”

"We have to prove that I'm not working for Celestia, killing the draugr again should also be a priority at this point let's see if we can't make a plan that involve doing both at the same time."

>>30156918
"The Pride Demons will retaliate, and will most likely pick the easiest target. Succubi. We need to get into the college and find a way to implicate them for these attacks, possibly stopping my father from training that Hero, too...or if we could get them from under Celestia's thumb, and generally doing good, it'd probably work even better.

Finally, we need to find the Draugr and get something of it's to help us track it and destroy it permanently. That bandage over it's eyes will probably do nicely."

"Brodin, I'll need your help with Celestia. The presence of an angel will help our legitimacy. Ada, I'll need your help making sure the Pride demons have a suitable reason to go after Celestia instead of the succubi. I was also considering bringing you along, Wilhelmina, because you have a large knowledge of Spirit magic, and that could be invaluable if the Draugr attacks."

Turn to Leona. "Leona, I know the attack...no one should experience that. You ARE faithful. That has to count for something. You can also take a massive beating, something that I hate to say would be very useful. Finally, you can heal us. Do you want to come with us?"

“B-Brooklyn! Y-You’re asking me to frame the attacks of the church as part of some actions of an evil genocidal creature, but also attack it! Defending against attacking angels is one thing, but doing such a thing on holy ground... I’d... I’d never be forgiven for such a thing...”

"The first attack WAS their fault, Leona. I talked with the queens about this...those were Assassins, specifically targeting me, because my father is training a Hero, and they didn't want their image tarnished. They were willing to kill ANYONE, for their image.

Innocents will die because of this second attack, and if I can stop their death, so be it. I'm asking you to come along, because I feel that you may be able to sway my father. If he hasn't even visited his own daughter, he probably isn't thinking straight, and we'll need all the help we can get.

We wont be attacking them, we'll be pinning this specifically on their most radical parts, the parts that condone assassinations. Most of this will be stealth and persuasion. I'm not going to lie to you. I want you to see clearly. Don't think you have to do this, because you feel conflicted. I want you to do this because I think you can make a difference in this, and help us find a better way, I'm just unsure what we'll be able to do on our own."

“No! It was a test of Faith! For even though my clothing was blown away, the Celestia cross I had endured.” Leona comments.

(“When she’s like this she’s never going to change her mind...”) Erika sighs in your head.

“If... If it’s alright with you Brooklyn I only want to do support, I’d rather not commit violence in such a holy place.” Leona replies.

“Shouldn’t we also get the Adventurers to help out? I mean they trained there for years so they’d know the place inside and out.” Mina replies.

“I’ll keep an eye outside as a lookout.” Sebastien replies.

“I’ll provide support for Sebastien if that’s OK with you. I doubt Celestia would let me no where near their precious college anywho.” Nalika replies.

“Anything you want me to do Brooklyn?” Amanda asks.

“Us too!” The twins reply.

“Leaving some people on reserve in case things go sour would be a wise choice I’d imagine.” Ada replies.

“Woahwoahwoahwoah, like... right *now*!? I need some time to pick up my spear and armour first!” Katlin exclaims.

Hm... Probably a good last call for any sort of supplies you’d want to get...
>>
>>30157978
Summon several imps, send letters to the Succubi leaders we know. Tell them the Pride demons will probably respond with force on the Succubi. Ask Fredrika to 'help' by policing areas where innocents might be hurt, as the possibility of witnesses (especially those who can defend themselves) should stop some nastier things from happening. We'll pay them if necessary.

Rebecca's letter should let her know what we've asked Fredrika to do, so she can use it to her advantage.

The Laminian letter should ask their leader to watch the Pride demons, so areas that are about to be hit can be evacuated in time.

We might also ask the reporters for help, but it could cause a panic if done wrong.

I wonder, would the Hero be able to permanently dispatch the Draugr? We could send a messenger imp to it informing it we are going into the Celestia Collage.... “Amanda, can you put together some wards that’d give us protection from the holy magics that the University or anyone we may end up fighting will most likely have?” you ask.

“...Good idea. Holy auras make demons like us sick...” Erika says, recalling her experience in a holy aura.

“Of course I can! I just need information on the characteristics of holy energy other than ‘makes demons really sick’.” Amanda replies.

“I can help with that.” Wilhelmina replies.

“Just as a quick warning, such things will be improvised. They’re going to have a limited battery life, but it should be more than enough for any one encounter.” Amanda replies.

“Good. Take some time for that. I’m going to buy some enhancement potions for us. Ada, how much do you have on you?”

“I haven’t switched places with my double yet and I wouldn’t be able to get more money than this until after.” Ada says throwing you a bag of gold. “Should be about 50 gold in there.”

“Enough. I’ll be heading out to get those potions.” you reply.

“Everyone meet back up here no later than 3 hours. We need to hit the university while classes are in session and while the professors are there.” Erika tells you all.

With that, everyone else scatters about to get their own things

You stop by Madison’s store to buy some potions, and damn are they ever expensive even in bulk. Grabbing some mental fortitude potions alone nearly burned through your money, but you had enough left over for some Pheonix Eggs. Such things should be able to immolate nearly anything. You buy yourself some aether potions and chug those down, but nearly throw up upon drinking the first one. This isn’t the fresh Aeth Royale you had at Wilhelmina’s. This garbage is bitter, putrid, and foul. You drink two of them, thankfully lacking the money for any more as you doubt you’d have the constitution to keep the third one down.

Troy's the rogue, could know some interesting ways around the area. Alex is probably a bro with the guards, so he could get us past certain things. Usldir might have some swing with our dad, and have a bit of leeway with travel.

Alex was seen with us when we went to the fighter's guild, so the big people at the college will probably react negatively to him, though.

Can't really decide which I'd like to take, as long as we're discrete, Alex, but most likely Troy or Uilodsir.

(Only two votes, but a coin flip makes that easier)

“Brodin, I’ll need you with me. Even if you may not that be respected in a Celestia area, you should at least be given some respect for being an angel. Ada, I’d like you to come with me for any kind of forgeries that we’ll probably need on the spot. Katlin and Stacy, you take up the part as the second scouting team with the remainders of the people left here.” you say.

“Let’s make a ranged response team and a fast reaction melee response. The teams should work a bit better that way.” Erika suggests.

“I concer.” Katlin replies.

“Oh yes! I managed to... stumble across some old uniforms for girls within the school. You should be able to pass off as students.” Alex says showing a crate next to him.

...You don’t want to know how he ended up having such things in the first place, but part of you is pretty sure that you know already.

“Very well, everyone get suited up then.” you say heading over to the crate to get some clothing. The school uniform itself doesn’t belay any outward evidence of being a Celestia organization. Rather for the female costumes, it’s just a simple long dress, white shirt, and a cream sweater with red trimmings, equipped with the symbol of the college itself of two figures holding a crossed swords in front of a setting/rising sun, with the latin phrase of “Through hard work comes true understanding”.

[2/2]

Heading to the school at about 3 PM in the afternoon, the group you’re with makes their way to the college. Sebastien and his group made their way up to a nearby abandoned building while the others are just lurking around a nearby marketplace. As you head over to the college itself, you can see that the college itself appears to be a new structure rather than made out of scraps from the old world. Towers that seem to climb into the heavens before the sun behind them shines light down on the campus and through the buttresses. The school itself it very well maintained, with shovelled walkways and well salted roads.

“They originally wanted to have a fountain here, but it was too much effort to get constantly flowing liquid water.” Ulidosir says as you walk by. Sure enough there’s a basin below, which does appear that this thing was originally supposed to be a statue.

Other students don’t tend to pay you much heed, apart from Brodin who is a bit further behind you. Most of the students who look at Brodin appear to be more scared than anything else. Which is expected when a Reaper walks into anywhere.

“Where do we go from here?” Leona asks.

“Depends where you want to go. I can get to Rand’s office and see if he’s in, or anywhere else on the campus. I’ve got the whole place memorized by heart.” Uilodsir replies.

"Let's go see my father, there's no reason to delay this any longer than necessary." you say to Uilosdir.

“Let’s head over to his office then. With luck he should be having his afternoon tea.” Uilosdir says as he brings you into the college.

Because it’s near a new hour, many people are in class right now. The well-built oak floors of the college make small creeks as you walk on by while janitors attempt to mop up the floor. Statues of knights holding swords can be seen looking down at you all as you pass. You make a turn into a corridor, seemingly in the opposite direction of the faculty offices.

“...Why are we headed this way?” you ask.

“The statues down that path are angels in disguise. You’re probably suppressing yourself now, but I’d rather not risk them finding out when a safer path is down here. The statues over here were destroyed in a student spat some time ago. Hopefully they shouldn’t be back up.” Uilosdir replies.

“Hopefully.” Ada mutters.

You can’t see any of the angelic presence in this area, but as you get closer to the scholar and library sections, you can certainly begin feeling it. The potions you had certainly help, but it still feels as if you ate something bad and it’s not exactly agreeing with you.

You head up a flight of stairs, noticing some missing statues on the way into the stairwell. Uilodsir guides you all to the faculty section of the scholar section, walking down the hallways bit by bit.

“OK... Rand Rand Rand Rand... Oh OK here it is. They must’ve moved his office.” Uilodsir says as he reaches the door. On the front of the door, you can see the sign, “Rand Luckfield, Professor of Scholarly Pursuits and Natural Philosophy.”
>>
[2/2]

You take a deep breath as you see this. It’s been many years since you’ve seen your father, nearly all of your family thinking that he was dead about now, but here he is. All you need now is just a moment to collect yourself a-

“Hello Dr. Luckfield!” Uilodsir says just opening the door ahead of you.

The man behind the desk is currently wearing a red and white robe of sorts, sitting in a rather small room but still enough for two small bookcases. The desk itself seems to have several papers and open books on top of it, tearing the man away from behind the desk away from his work.

“Why aren’t you a sight for sore eyes Uilodsir!” your Father says to Uilodsir as his face brightens up. “How are things been since you have graduated?” A bolt of shock spreads through your body as you look on. The sound of his voice, his face, his hair... Sure he appears to be a bit older now, but you can certainly tell that this is your father.

But the thing you notice most behind the wall is the picture that you drew many, many years ago. The one where you were a hero in it. Not only is it still in one piece, but he actually framed it and hung it on his wall. This single, terrible drawing you did as a child that he’s kept all these years...

“...Kerrigan? What’s wrong? You’re... crying.” Ada says to you as you look up at the picture.

It's indeed still me

"Nothing, I'm still just a bit on the edge after this morning events."
>>
“N-Nothing, I'm still just a bit on the edge after this morning events." you reply wiping your eyes.

“Oh we just happened to be in the neighbour. I met up with a few people since we departed as well!” Uilodsir says as he shows you all.

“Then come in! Pardon the... smallest of the room. Some of you may have to stand.” Your father says as he walks over and pushes a chair out of the way before his eye catches Brodin. “...A Reaper?”

“Only for one day out of the week.” Brodin replies. “Any before you ask, no I’m not here to kill you.”

“Oh thank goodness! Here I was wondering if security was getting lax!” your father laughs as he points to a small fireplace in the room, instantly lighting up. “Tea will take a few moments to warm up, so why don’t you tell me a bit about your new friends then Uilodsir?”
>>
>>30168397
"Yes, father, introductions are in order." Curtsy "I am Brooklyn, your son, and if you don't mind, we have much to catch up on."
>>
>>30168397
So you want us to speak for Uilsodir sandact if that's the case?

"I met them while traveling north, the town we stopped in had a church of Celestia and the priest there asked us to capture and bring back some brigand that made the area their turf so they could be judged. During the fight we met Brodin, the reaper and he told us the brigand were fated to die the day after. After confronting the priest we found out him and a majority of the townspeople were in fact undeads. This is where paladin and cleric tragically met their ends, we went to fort hope afterward where we met your son turned daughter and her group of friends. He was saved from death by giving him a new enlightened body, which Brodin can corroborate. We are here today to talk about that angelic assassination squad sent against us a week or so ago."
>>
>>30168894

Na, you can talk as Brooklyn
>>
>>30168894
It is time to drop the charade. We might as well confront him now rather than later.

"I met them while traveling north, the town we stopped in had a church of Celestia and the priest there asked us to capture and bring back some brigand that made the area their turf so they could be judged. But before we could get back we were attacked by Yeti’s. If it weren’t for the actions of this young lady here, we would’ve all been dead. The young woman explained herself as one who was saved from death by giving him a new enlightened body, which Brodin can corroborate. We are here today to talk about that angelic assassination squad sent against us a week or so ago." Uilodsir explains before motioning towards you.

You wait until the door is closed before beginning the next bit. You do a proper curtsy with your dress directly in front of your father like a proper lady. "Yes, father, introductions are in order. I am Brooklyn Browning, your son, and if you don't mind, we have much to catch up on."

“M-My son!?” Your father exclaims. “...B-Bu... How... You were taller last time I saw you! ...And also...”

“Male?” you ask him.

“Yes that’s definitely another thing I remember very clearly.” your father replies.

It does hurt your heart a little to have your father doubt you, but since you’re still masquerading as Kerrigan the Laminian you figure this is why he’d have some doubts.

"I had to go into hiding since my dead body is hunting me and I'd prefer not having any more contact with pride demons than necessary, I can take a form more reminiscent to my old body if that's what you want, we can also skip the skepticism part and have you start asking question about our past together right now."

This is wrong, Brooklyn doesn't look like Brooklyn right now, even the female form one.

I suggest telling him we are under an illusion because of assassination threats.

>>30169319
Telling about the draugr might work I suppose, though we should pull out that card only if it's needed. We should be able to get him to realize Brooklyn really is Brooklyn by giving him some childhood memories that only the two of them would know about. He should trust us enough for a chat after that.

"I had to go into hiding since my dead body is hunting me and I'd prefer not having any more contact with pride demons than necessary, this form you see right now is only an illusionary spell and I can dispel it later if you wish, we can also skip the skepticism part and have you start asking question about our past together right now." you reply to him.

“You’re certainly a wiseass like my son that’s for sure.” your father replies. “OK, so let’s skip to that part then.”

“That painting you have framed there was drawn when I was five years old, for when I wanted to be a hero. The smears on that drawing is when I used the wrong colours for the picture, but you promised me to get new colours for that picture. I remember that night very clearly, as mom had trouble putting Excel to bed that night as well.” you reply. “The day after you helped me make a snow fort in the back yard, as a hero was expected.”

Your father seems shocked upon hearing this, the entire room stunned with silence for a few seconds before your father simply walks up on over to you, reaching over and hugging you close to him. “Brooklyn! My son! My very own son! I thought you and your sister died years ago!”

The gentle yet firm embrace of your father is something that is indeed old to you, but a feeling that you’ve been relishing to feel again for a long, long time.
>>
>>30169906
"Excel is doing fine actually, she's living with uncle in this city. It's nice to see you again."
>>
>>30169906
"You never checked? It's not like either of us went into hiding, we were both in plain sight. Excel has even moved to the same town as you years ago."

At this point we could invite him to meet up with Excel I suppose. Celestia probably doesn't have him under house arrest or something, looking at his condition, so it should work.
>>
Unless he's delusional from mental magic or something. We could also check for that if we get him out of the college, at any rate, so this still works.

Maybe have Erika check his head on the sly once we're physically out of the college.
>>
"You never checked!?” you exclaim upon hearing this. “It's not like either of us went into hiding, we were both in plain sight! Excel has even moved to the same town as you years ago and is living with uncle!"

“Brooklyn I understand your frustration, but listen to me! There’s a story behind all of this!” your father exclaims.

“And it better be a good one for letting your children thinking that you died.” you reply.

“It happened a long time ago, as you know I left Fort Hope to head to Old TO to do some research. I never expected that it’d take more than six months. But every time I tried to look into the past, I just hit dead ends. Then Celestia appeared. They offered my access to their school library and the ability to back order books, but in exchange...” your father trails off.

“...You didn’t read the fine print again, didn’t you?” you ask him.

“Pretty much.” you father replies.

“Like father like son.” Brodin replies.

“It was after that Celestia kept me cooped up in here for my own ‘protection’. Whenever I asked about my family, they just said that ‘they were fine’, but never went into any details. Then about seven years ago they told me that you all died when you tried to come to Fort Hope to see me.” you father replies.

Those angelic bastards...

“N-No! Celestia wouldn’t do something so cruel to someone’s family like that!” Leona cries out.
>>
>>30170465
"Yes they totally would. The ends justify the means is practically Celestia's slogan."
>>
>>30170465
"Well as you can see, we're all alive and fine, and even in the same city. So let's meet up with Excel and uncle, shall we?

Do you think anyone around this place would try to stop you from doing that? I have some friends that could help us have a reunion."
>>

"Leona, let's discuss this later. Father, I would like you to leave with me. I will give you more details once we are out.” you reply.

“But how exactly are we going to get out Brooklyn? Celestia likes to keep me under house arrest after all.” your father replies.

“I say we just go through the front door then bolt. We got like... two team outside. I think we should be fine.” Brodin replies.

“I know the way past the angel statues without getting caught.” Uilodsir replies. “The wizards in training have that path long since mapped out.”

“...Why would you do such a thing?” your father asks Uilodsir.

“Well it helped the thieves Guild in not putting as many spikes in our shoes and bed...” Uilodsir replies.

“Good. Now let’s get going. Hopefully we’ll be able to bolt out quick enough without Celestia noticing that you’re missing.” you tell everyone.

“Just let me grab these... And these... Oh nearly forgot these ones!” your father says as be begins to put a few notes and books into a leather bag. “You don’t mind if I send someone to get the picture later?”

“Dad, I’m honoured you kept it after so many years. But right, our priority is getting you out in one piece.” you reply.

“I agree. The sooner we’re out of here the better.” Wilhelmina replies. “This area is so full of angelic energy that it’s almost blinding.”

Afterward when your father is done collecting his books, you make your way down back towards the exit of the academy. Your pace is hurried, but at the same time relaxed and hoping that you manage to find a way outside before anyone manages to spot your father.

“Home stretch.” Brodin says as you walk around the corner to the hall with the exit door.

Ada looks up at the statues. “You know this is a lot easier than I originally thought’d b-”

“Ah! Mr. Browning!” a young man exclaims.

Both you and your father turn your heads, seeing what appears to be a teenager in leather armour currently running over to your father. He appears to have blond hair that is coming out from his leather cap and a fairly sun soaked face that belays his excitement.

“R-Rifter! W-W I mean how are you doing!” Your father says recovering from his stumble.

“Oh excellent Mr. Browning! My Survival Adventure is delayed another day due to all the odd events that are happening in the city, which is great as I wanted to ask you a few things before I left!” Rifter replies.

You can only give a small sigh as you hear this. Figured that one of his students would be the one to catch him...

“This can’t get any worse...” you mutter to yourself as you look down the hall.

Then, through some of the students on the other end of the hall, you can see the Academy doors opening up, seeing a rather familiar cloaked figure with a wrapped weapon on his back stepping into the academy.

“It didn't become worse. It’s become absolutely terrible.” Brodin replies.

"That figure has been following me for a while. It is VERY powerful, but it will only fight if you get in it's way. Make sure innocents are out of the way, as this could get messy. We need to do this quietly.

Dad, is there a second exit we can use, or a place we can lure this that's strong enough to withstand almost anything?"
>>
>>30171260
heh

time to scram, since this is going to go to hell anyway get someone else to fly off with daddy and lure the hunter away from their line of escape

no worries if this puts celestia's admin buildings the line of fire, though i suppose we shouldnt let innocent students get hurt if we have a choice

"Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is our cue to get out. Just act natural."

>>30171260
So, I'm basically assuming we just met the Hero in training here.

"Dad, you might want to take cover. Now."

Scream "Assassin!" at the top of our lungs.

Then get away in the confusion. Or let someone with our father get away, since we are the target, we don't want to end up with no support against this guy.
>>
>>30171974
The Draugr has killed enough people, it can most likely track us again, and it will walk through the front doors to get us. Which is when the guards will attempt to stop it. Which is when they die and shit hits the fan.

>>30171260
We need to get our dad out of here, most likely in the confusion, then go back for records. Possibly kite the Draugr through all of the angels.

“Dad. Take cover.” you tell him.

“Eh?” Both your Dad and Rifter say with confusion in your voice.

Brooklyn-Draugr acts as soon as he hears that, taking his weapon off his back and flicking off the covers just as the tip of his staff is pointing at you now.

“NOW!” you scream as you leap down into a nearby hallway.

A shot of dark energy goes by just barely missing you, hitting a nearby statue and blasting it apart in an explosion that seems to rock apart the entire school.

“He really doesn’t care at all about property damage does he!?” Ada asks as she gets up next to you.

“He didn’t care in Dio’s castle, why the hell would he care now!?” you ask as you get back up.

“That thing also trashed Lord Dio’s castle!?” your Father exclaims.

“Less talking more running!” you say as you scramble down the hallway.

“Mr. Browning go on! I’ll dispatch this assassin after us!” Rifter says as he reaches for two swords.

Your Father puts his hands on Rifter’s to stop him from drawing the blade. “No! You’re no where near ready yet! First rule of h-”

“Don’t let it go to your head...” Rifter sighs.

“Good, NOW START RUNNING!” your Father tells him.

The entire section of the school is filled with a large crowd of panicked students now screaming and pushing for their own lives out of the classrooms and into the halls. For once the small form makes it hard to see exactly where you’re going as nearly everyone else is taller than you, but you can now tell that some of the statues are now coming to life, pebbles falling off of they move from their stands.

The classroom from out behind you seems to explode outward, a stone statue being flung through the wall following a large explosion. The Brooklyn-Draugr calmly walks out of the classroom, glancing over to your direction. A field of darkness comes up around his hand as he appears to charge up a Shadowspike graveyard spell.

God damnit! That spell turned fully armoured soldiers into lumps of red meat and he’s going to be casting it on an entire hallway of students!?!?

It trying to use Darkness controls should help immensely.

You don’t want the deaths of these students on your conscious. You gather up the darkness power in the hands before throwing it at the Brooklyn-Draugr.

The Brooklyn-Draugr slams his hand into the ground, the spikes of darkness heading towards you, but your own sphere of black energy meeting it head on and shattering the spikes in mid-travel. Darkness sharpnel sprays all over the place shattering windows and shredding apart doors. Indeed a few students are also hit by the shrapnel spray, but that’s better than letting their internal organs spilled all out over the floor.

The animated statues begin attacking as well, crashing their swords down on the Brooklyn-Draugr. The Brooklyn-Draugr only seems to glide back from their clumsy strikes of the statues. The Brooklyn-Draugr counters by aiming his palm at one of the statues, sending out a beam of multicolored light which blasts off the head of the statue with ease.

“...How old is that body?” you father asks.

“A few months.” you reply.

“You grew up into a fine man son.” your father replies.

“...Eh?” Rifter says as he then looks between you, your father, and the Draugr.

By now the students are down in the next hallway, which is both a blessing and a curse. You have more room to move, but the only thing between you and the Draugr are those statues, which are falling rapidly...

“Oh! You want to play!? THEN PLAY WITH THIS!” you say pointing to the ground in front you.

A large spell circle seems to spin into existence, it being pure white as another large statue comes out from the ground. It appears to be nearly transparent aside from blue outlines and nearly as tall as any of the other statues here, only this time it’s carrying a very large and mean looking axe.

The large soligram statue beast toddles over to the Brooklyn-Draugr that’s currently attacking the other statues. It raises it’s axe up to swing at the Draugr just before it pulls it’s weapon towards the Soligram and fires. A large piece of the soligram is blasted off, but the axe manages to connect to the Draugr and sends him sailing through a wooden wall into a nearby classroom.

“TAKE THAT YOU SON OF BITCH!” you yell out as the other animated statues begin to head over to the wreckage to stomp on the Draugr while it’s down.

“Why do I have the feeling that such a thing is only going to anger it.” Wilhelmina replies.

“Because you’d be right.” Brodin replies.

“Come on! If we can get to the stairs I can at least try to seal them off!” Uilodsir says to you all.

Just as you’re about to turn around and head towards the stairs, bright light seems to pour from the windows and down onto the ground. Normally you’re fine with even looking at the sun, but looking directly at this sort of light causes actual pain to shoot through your body.

“Wondering when they were going to show up.” Brodin replies as he covers his own eyes.

As the light begins to dim down, you can see what appears to be a squad of angels dressed in armour along with carrying bows and blades. In the center of them all appears to be a large angel dressed in what appears to a long, flowing regal robe. A crown on his head appears to shine with multiple coloured jewels all while he carries a scepter in his other hand.

“A Principality!?” Uilodsir exclaims.

“Oh thank god! Go kill it then!” you say pointing to the Draugr.

“Oh no, we don’t mean that.” the Angel says with a kind smile before raising his hand up and blasting you all with a wave of energy. For a second you expect to by flying through a wall, but as you recover you notice that you’re back in an adult form... complete with all your demonic traits out in the open.

“Your son... I mean daughter... Whatever is a demon!?” Rifter says looking at your Father with confusion.

“Dils you son of a bitch!” you hear your father cursing at the angel. “You said that my family was dead! The deal’s off! I have no intenAAAAAHHHH!”

Your father begins screaming in pain as he rolls over onto the floor, clutching his sides.

“Dad!” you say rushing over to him, before being stopped with a volley of arrows at your feet.

“Right now your son truly is dead Rand. You see the twisted mockery of his soul that is trying to deceive you from your true calling in life.” The impressive looking angel says.

“The only people trying to deceive me here is you! Your feathered dovefuAAAAAHHHHH!” your father says as he convulses in pain once again.

“We only ask that you put your faith in us Rand Browning, just as we put our faith in you. Trust us, for this is truly for the best.” The Principality says.

That... That bastard... This explains everything. He’s been keeping your father on a god damn leash all this time.

“Principality! Sir Principality!” Leona says as she quickly runs over to the angel, getting on her knees as she assumes a prayer position. “I’ve always been a strong believer in the faith of Celestia! My faith has always remained strong and true in the cause of peace and love! I-I’m so honored to meet you!”

The Principality looks down on upon Leona, a gently smile coming across his face as Leona looks up at him with tears of joy in her eyes...

Just before the Principality swats her aside like a rag doll, sending her crashing back into the school.

“W-Wa!? Why!?” Leona asks, her mind clouded with confusion.

“You used to be one Leona Langy, but now you’re only a twisted mockery of what you once were. You can no longer comprehend the light and truth that our belief brings.” The Principality says.

“N-No! That’s no true!” Leona exclaims. “I-I know just as much as I always have!”

“Silence. From this moment on you are banished from our church. Do not defile the good name of Celestia with your demonically tainted prayers again.” The Principality declares to her.

It’s at this moment you can see something just crack inside of Leona. Her entire life just shattered apart in a trillion pieces in front of her. She remains frozen in place, her mind still accepting the totality of what she just heard.

Just as this goes on, another massive explosion can be heard down the hall, wooden planks tumbling towards the ground where you are right now. As you look down, you can see the Draugr has now finished with the statues and is now making it’s way over to you. However due to it’s position, the angels cannot directly see it right now.

You grit your teeth as you hear the angel talking about his divine bullshit. You’re more shocked at how it can keep a straight face through all of this more than anything else.

“You have no right.” you say as you clench your fists, whorls of darkness and light coming off from them. “Not to torture my father. Not to shatter Leona's faith in you. You are as bad, as evil as the Pride Demons that lord over this world.” You raise up your hands and enter into your fighting stance. “And like them I swear I will cast you out!"

Upon saying this you lob a barrage of Annihilator shots at the Angels flying above, explosions shattering the remaining windows from the shockwaves that shake the area.

A few of the archer angels are hit in the assault, in where you deftly dodge their attacks by doing a backflip off of a wall before flapping your wings behind cover. Soldiers rush down at Wilhelmina and Brodin. Wilhelmina waits until the last possible second to draw her sword and score a clean strike against her own opponent. Brodin is also quick to his his scythe to block the charging angel coming at him, a few arrows hitting but just bouncing off his cloak before he flicks his scythe, sending the angel away.

Uilodsir rushes over to here Leona is, casting a wall of fire to block the area between themselves and the angels. The arrows just simply vaporize when they hit the fire wall while the guards just stay away from it.

Ada is quick to grab your father, and barely makes it away in time as the Principality fires a laser blast from his scepter to scorch the ground on where Ada just stood.

Rifter just seems to look at the scene in front of him with just pure confusion, but your doppleganger seems to have an idea. He holds his weapon up in front of him, the weapon now floating in midair as it slowly begins to lift up off the ground. If we are really going to have a conversation at this moment, it would really be better to just tell Leona to believe in her sister I think.

I really don't think that letting him get that spell off will end well.

Throw some Annihilator beams quickly downrange at the Draugr, and try to get the Draugr and the Angels in a fight with each other.

You don’t know what the Draugr is casting, but you do not want to be on the receiving end of it. You throw up a few darkness walls between you and Draugr as you attempt to loop behind the angels.

The Draugr’s weapon then turns parallel to the ground, the tip of the staff falling into the spell circle as the Draugr grabs hold of it. A second later, several black streams of energy fly out towards the conflict. The multitude of lasers hit their targets including Brodin, Wilhelmina, several of the angels, and the Principality. Rifter just barely dodges it by flinching when a piece of debris hits him on the back of the head, and you’re lucky that a soldier angel took the attack for you.

The shots then expand into large black orbs upon impact, solid enough to force you back in the middle of a classroom again. You’re not sure what’s going inside of them, and on a second look you can see they’re what appears to be rather large Annihilator orbs.

The Draugr then removes his weapon from the spell circle, holding it up before using the habred part of his staff to slice the magic circle he drew in half. As you look at the magic circles, you can see they’re acting as if they’ve been ruptured all along the same area.

“Oh shit!” you exclaim as you throw up several darkness walls between the orb containing the angel and you, Uilodsir, and Leona.

Massive explosions erupt from the spheres shortly after, showering nearly the entire hallway and courtyard in a massive series of explosions. The falling debris of the school now nearly as dangerous as spells are themselves. Brodin comes out of the explosion while in the midst of his Reaper spell. Wilhelmina unfortunately comes out looking a bit worse for wear, gasping as she tries to pull herself up on her feet as her transparent blue shield flickers. The Principality however appears to be just as damaged, most of his robe nearly blown off in the attack and his crown cracked. The soldier angels rush up in front to defend the Principality as a group of archers fire off a volley towards the Draugr.

It doesn’t matter if the Draugr is stronger than you. *No one* could make an attack like that without it having a large hit on their aether pool

Seeing that the angels are bunched together, you don’t waste any time capitalizing on this mistake they’re making. You quickly charge up an Iksunder orb before letting it loose in the angel cluster. It explodes with a ton of impact, sending feathers and steel flying in every direction.

“Wilhelmina! Get out of here!” you order her.

“No... I’m... I’m still fine...” she says weakly getting back up onto her legs.

Fine? She’s barely even standing.

A sharp contrast to this is Brodin, who seems perfectly fine as his Reaper form charges directly towards the Draugr.

“tOdAy I pUt YoU tO rEsT zOmBiE...” Brodin says as he brings his scythe down onto the Draugr, forcing it to dodge to the side before Brodin makes a hook with his scythe, catching the Draugr on the upswing and nearly cutting it in two, but still makes a rather impressive looking gash up along the side of it.

As you look over into the graveyard, you can see the Principality Angel is weakly trying to get back up. More guards attempt to rush towards it’s aide, but not before Ada becomes visible behind the Principality with a blade to it’s throat. The other guard angels back off as Ada barks something towards them, but you can’t tell what exactly.
>>
>>30175277
Focus on helping Brodin put the Draugr down.

Use Darkness tentacles to grab it and slow it down, if it charges towards us tarpit it with Soliograms which explode in its face when killed, if we have a good opportunity shoot it with Lasers, and Annihilation Beams.

You decide that now’s the time to mess the Draugr up and get him off your backs. As the Draugr attempts to get back up, you quickly use all of the power you’ve got left to bind him with darkness tentacles. The Draugr is held down for a moment, but quickly dispells them and gets back up onto his feet. With the scythe that Brodin slams through his chest, you figure that it’s far too late for him to be reacting to anything else.

Reaper Brodin lifts the Draugr’s body up into the air, holding back his hand as it glows greenish black for a moment. “YoUr SoUl Is MiN-”

Just as Brodin says this a massive burst of energy blows him back away from the Draugr’s body. You’re worried about the Draugr getting back up, but judging from the size of the hole in it’s chest you can see that it’s clearly dead.

Just as the battle is beginning to wind down, you can hear more footprints coming from down the halls. As you look down, you can see Nalika, Katlin, Stacy, and Erika running up towards you.

“Brooklyn we have a problem!” she tells you. “The Pride Demons must’ve known about the attack here. They’re approaching the university as we speak!”

You try to shapeshift into another form, but it’s not working. That angelic bastard must’ve shut off your shapeshifting. You can’t even get rid of your demonic traits.

“No! No please spare me!” The Principality says as Ada holds the dagger directly at his throat.

Hm... This is a problem... If the angel gifted your father with power, then he effectively owns your father’s soul. Killing the angel (as much as you REALLY want to) will also kill your Father.

You wonder if you can think of a way out of this...

(Gonna call the thread a bit early as I need to study for a quiz tomorrow. SAY WHAT YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE YOU GO, as I'll be announcing the results at the beginning of the next thread.)
>>
>>30175776
Couldn't we have the Principalty transfer the contract to us in exchange of his life. I really want to kill it too but our father life take precedence.
>>
>>30175776
Obviously we need to turn dad into a succubus.
>>
>>30175776
Well, looks like we're negotiating with angels. in exchange for fucking right off, removing whatever is stopping us from shapeshifting, and relinquishing any claim on our father, we won't have Ada put cut its throat open.

Also, we'll want to set up some defenses to slow down the Pride Demons and set up an escape route.

this, also since the angel is such a coward, we can probably sneak in a geas or something

>>
>>30176048
why would it transfer its end of the contract to us? thats the only thing keeping it alive at this point...
>>
>>30176066
Because if it keeps our father, our father is dead anyway. There is no point not to kill the angel if it refuses giving up the contract.
>>
>>30175890
sounds like the best idea so far

>>30175855

>>30175776
Brodin deals with soul wacky magics business, we need to get him weighing in on this, see if theres something he can do about such a possible connection between the angel and dad, and any info on it would greatly help with dealing with the angel
>>
>>30176107
hey, here's an idea, maybe we could first get the principality into a death contract under brodin, then brodin forces it to give up the contract with our father
>>
>>30176107
>snrk

Hey, don't laugh. That actually would fix this situation. And then after that we feed the angel to the queens and everything is perfect.
>>
>>30175776
Spare the principality if he transfers dad's soul to us. If he doesn't, kill him.
>>
>>30175776
We need our dad to get out of his current predicament, but we can't discuss this with the Pride Demons coming here right now. We either make a deal quickly and leave, or we go to a part of the college that's more private, find his contract and see if it's been broken in any way (or breaks certain laws by existing), Brodin might be able to help with this.

Or, if anyone has a way to specifically get our dad out of this, we can leave. Although leaving the Principality around could be highly dangerous for us.

i think best bet is to demand it release our father soul then run. we don't want to be here when the pride demons show up. want to pin more blame on Celestia but right now i think we need to get out asap. they may learn stuff in the follow up investigation but we should lie low just in case.

poor Leona we will need to comfort her after all this.
>>
>>30179238
Brooklyn's dad will be invaluable in this.

I still think staying and forcing them to give it up will benefit us more, as allows us to search their documents for more stuff to benefit our situation.

that would compromise our identity and still get us a trip to new to for breaking. think that would be terrible idea
>>
>>30181818
it would more likely put us in another longer and eventually bigger fight when we are already somewhat worn out at this point

we dont have time to snoop around the college, what we have to do is deal with the angel as fast as possible then vanish
