>STAR WARS THEME

>The Story thus far:
Things have been going smoothly for Leacim Orgen. Following the events on Korriban, he taught his pupil, Dacyna Ki'ikn, how to effectively meditate and sense the Force.

Afterward, on the peaceful world of Dantooine, he tested her mettle by facing her up against a Graul. The fight was short, yet tense and in the end she proved her worth.

You stand upon the hill overlooking the site, where Dacyna struggles to rmove the vibroblade from the beast's skull.

They're the force the order the props up the late EU Fel Empire. In our terms it would be an order of force users that first and foremost an elite military unit loyal to the Empire, with the mystic/philosophical trappings of the Sith and Jedi a distant second. That should hopefully keep Starscream syndrome to a minimum amongst our members.

ou head down the hill, and stand next to the corpse. You watch as she eventually wiggles and dislodges the vibroblade. She looks shaken, but proud of herself, and looks to you for praise. That is not what she receives, at least not as she probably expects.

"You did well," your simple term makes her morale boost dwindlejust slightly, since she was probably expecting an overload of applause. The next thing you say doesn't help her out much, "but if you intent to be subtle you must ensure you move slowly, cautiously, and pay close atention to such subtle factors as the wind and your footing." you gesture around you to the air.

"Feel the subtle breeze, how it wafts that way," you point to the direction past the Graul, "It's likely the beast caught your scent. You must be ever aware of your surroundings, do you understand?" slowly she nods. [Your instruction has made Dacyna to be more aware of her surroundings. +2 PER]
>[...]
>>
>[...]
You gesture to the Graul's horns.

"Take one, or a tooth if you prefer. As your first kill and first real step in training, this beast is symbolic. The horn or tooth you choose will be the body, the hilt, of your lightsaber." you tell her. She looks from you, to the Graul, then nods with a slight "Hn" sound and examines the horns and teeth of the Graul. A minute or two passes of her deciding, and she begins to saw off a fresher, smoother horn from the top of the Graul's head. You look around the area while she does this, and consider the best method to continue her training in medittion. The pile of Iriaz corpses is too macabre, but then you see a boulder with a suitably flat surface.

After some time, she comes to you with the horn she's sawed off. You tell her to pocket it, then point to the boulder.

"Sit." you tell her. She obeys, and is soon perched atop the rock as you showed her how to sit in the meditation chamber.

"Open your senses, and feel the Force. Observe how different it is here, planetside, in this intersection of life, death, chaos, and harmony." you give heer that simplel ine of instruction, and leave her to journey out on her own. On a planetl ike this, you have no expectation of her getting lost in the force. You acted as a tether aboard the Starfall because with the conduit chamber she could have succumbed to the infinite expanse of the Force... but here, she's restricted to the planet and only a few miles radius at that, given her experience.

While she meditates, what do you do?

You rest against a tree trunk and keep a watchful eye out. You make a mental note, once she returns to an aware state, to tell her that you would have come to her aid if the beast proved to be too great a challenge. You need the girl's trust, and perhaps her thinking that you were throwing her to the Grauls was your attempt to discard or abandon her. You don't need her thinking you're the same as the filthy Rebels or brigands.

[PER Check DC12: 16] You hear the engines of a speeder drawing near. Wary, you press close to the tree. You hear the crunch of boots on grass, and voices drawing nearer. The voices aren't mechanically filtered, so they're no Stormtroopers, and there's no way that any Imperial Officers would be caught alive on this world.

Your suspicions are confirmed when you finally see them. Some sort of mercenaries, or pirates, by the looks of their gear and grooming... or lack thereof. They'll probably spot you where you are, and they'll definitely see Dacyna within a few moments, exposed as she is.

What do you do?

You slide out from the shade of the tree and immadiaely spot the band's leader. How can you tell? He's the cleanest of the lot and has a bigger gun.

"Hello, there." you say calmly, and guns are all immadiately locked onto you. You look around and hold still, holding your hands close to your sides, but palms open. Not like it matters, but people like their senses of security.

"Who're you?" the man you pinned demands, aiming his rifle at your chest.

"You should be more polite," you comment, "but to answer your question, my name's Orgen." you tell him. They don't seem to think you're Imperial, and that may help you out. He has his men stand down, and he approaches you.

"An' what're you doin' out 'ere, Orgen?" the man asks. He stands a few feet away, but you can smell his breath. Suffice to say, it burns your nostrils.

"I was merely out here for instructional purposes." you tell him.

"Instructawhat?" he asks. You hear a voice call from a little ways away.

"Hoy, boss! The Graul's already been offed, and a horn's been cut!" and then shortly after "Hoy, boss! I found some lass! She seem'ta be sleepin'!" your eyes narrow and look in their directions, but their boss grabs your attention.

You open your hand and our lightsaber goes to it in a snap, and with the motion of gripping it you ignite the yellow blade. Everyone's eyes widen, and you use a blend of telekinesis and force choke on the leader, lifting him before you with the force and you don't even do the Vader-style hand thing making it look all the more menacing.

"You are hereby accused of unlawful galactic conduct, consorting with brigands, and worst of all assaulting a member of the Imperial Inquisitorum. How do you plead?" you ask, taking the harsh Imperial tones that the galaxy has come to either respect or fear. The man's eyes are wide and the others are conflicted on if they should back away or start shooting.

The man's only response: choking sounds.

"Very well, should you refuse to plead I shall exercise my authority to act as jury for your trial. You are found guilty and sentenced to immediate execution." you tell him, and lower him down to hit feet, then force him into a prostrate position. You release the hold of the choke and he mmediately blurts out.

"PLEASE HAVE MERCY!" screaming for his life. You look down at him through yor eyes, narowed into slits.

"This is Mercy," you say as you glide the saber's blade close to his cheek so he feels the heat of the blade. With a final flick fo your wrist and flourish of the fingers, you efforltessly decapitate the brute.

You speedily make your way over to Dacyna, and give her an assuring nod when she looks to you while flicking blood off her vibroblade. The two of you face forward, and you let her do most of the effort but you do your share of killing, electing to either bend them to your will and execute them or crush their internal organs. Either way, your kills are all clean and quick. The same cannot exactly be said for her. Her rage against these kinds of people makes her vicious and brutal, and her calm was abandoned the moment you let her off the proverbial leash. Soon, only one remains.

"Be cautious with that, young one," you tell her, "your hatred can and will make you srong, but be mindful it does not consume your mind and your will." she looks up at you with curious eyes, and you continue the lesson.

"Ours is a delicate place in the Force. She looks down andn ods, knowing she made that mistake planet-side. You reach the bridge and you place a hand on her soulder in a standard gesture of understanding.

"We all must lean to balance ourselves. It's especially difficult for individuals like you and I, where we toy with forces so powerful and nearly untamable." you tell her. You decide to bolster her confidence in you with what you'd noted to tel her earlier.

"Know that my duty as your mentor is also to ensure your safety. Though I may instruct you harshly and place you in harm's way, I will do what is within my power to keep you alive and intact. Should the beast on Dantooine have proven too much, I would not have simply let you die." you say in the short time between your arrival on the bridge and your assumption of your position in the middle of it. She smiles, and you sense her emotions aren't as wildly conflicted anymore.

Technically, there are a lot of dark side groups and orders under the Imperial banner, a lot of which were kinda meh. The ones that might be around still are the various miscellaneous dark side adepts we personally trained, any remaining hands (probably not many), and those few survivors of the various elite guard divisions (Imperial, and Senate mostly) who were trained in the force.
The largest single group of recruits we could find are actually the Jensaarai, although convincing them to join us might be difficult.
