>If anything I feel more sick than I have for the past two days, but a promise is a promise.

No problem if you don't run again, mate. Even though I've been looking forward to this, I'd still prefer you keep safe!
>>
OP, I was thinking.
Can I officially change the goals of our MC?
I even have divided them in different categories (short-term, long-term). "Curing death" always sounded so cheesy to me and I think there are more important goals than that ever since we learned about aliens
>>
In these past few days that you didn't run, I've reworked the IM robot army extensively.
Changed the terminator models we had and added a few more.
Expanded my Huge Mech design extensively. Added shit load of things to it like drones and general strategy.

Could check it out on the Wiki?
I'd like to replace our "stealth bots" immediately. They suck ass compared to Insect Bots.

After you give your opinion I want to continue with Julios actions.
>>
>>30350129

This was mentioned earlier, and the answer is yes, just so long as it's something that would make sense as a growth of the character. Since the Iron Master has made multiple people Deathless including himself, it would make sense if he considered himself to have *already* cured death, and has decided to let mass production slide.

>>30350065

If things get really rotten I can just call the thread early, but I think I'll be alright at least for a while. I don't want to let the quest stall too long.
>>
Can we take over Whispers server and dig into it?
There ought to be much juicy, juicy information we can use. Perhaps we will find many new contacts and interesting events too.
>>
>>30350129
I disagree. It was the justification for everything we've done so far. Plus, I've been waiting to actually get to play out our scheme this entire quest.
>>30350207
Did we steal Aseral's body? Julio could probably use a new meatsuit
>>
>>30350207
Okay, for goals I wanted something like this

Immediate:
-Take over the criminal world in LA (obvious)

Medium:
-Legitimize our rule: start opening businesses, creating jobs, improving economy and prosperity of the city. Start a political party: become a mayor, get the full support of the city. Turn LA in fully autonomous city-state with us the eternal ruler

Long-term:
-Prepare of the other:
Militarize space with the help of Eidolos build powerful ships and such
OR
Try to stop the Quickening. Find out what causes Meta-humans to develop their powers and stop it.

AND
In case the Iron Master fails, have a sure-way to escape:
Build hidded bases and colonies on the Moon and Mars

-Make immortality widespread. Be it technological in nature (fully cyber bodies and uploaded minds) or biological (age reversal)
Here.
What do you think?
>>
>>30350290
We were using a biological/necromantic means of basically doing the cyber upload.
>>
>>30350286
>I disagree. It was the justification for everything we've done so far. Plus, I've been waiting to actually get to play out our scheme this entire quest.

I don't mean to remove it entirely, I just think through the course of the quest the Iron Master might have gotten additional goal which are more immediate.

>Did we steal Aseral's body? Julio could probably use a new meatsuit
Yes, I mentioned this last thread and wanted to give it to him.

Also, can you check out this and give your thoughts on it? I am *this* close to doing this and giving julio Mech powers (total xp cost would be 5). Last thread I was the only guy playing and without anyone to give their opinion it was hard to actually go through with it.
http://ironmaster.wikia.com/wiki/The_Main_Battle_Suits

Julio would need to get Terminators and Mechs powers. With the mech powers comes a free design.
>>
>>30350315
>>30350350

Here is how OP commented on the earlier version I designed (it didn't have drones covering its weaknesses)

>Yes, this mech will absolutely straight-up slaughter everything that's stupid enough to try and fight it one-on-one. An Athletics of 12 and photon weaponry means that anything that doesn't have extremely heavy armor is virtually guaranteed to go down in one shot. I don't think Behemoth could beat even one of these monsters.

>Amp would have decent odds, though. Why? Amp's stealth might not be amazing, but against an Observation of just 4 he might be able to sneak up and get a free first shot (particularly with Kronos giving him up to 6 extra chances), and his Cunning-based attacks are going to rip an Insight 2 opponent right to pieces. Between his high Cunning and Stealth and high-damage Cunning-based attacks, Asrael would've had a field day, but Asrael's dead. So barring a lucky strike from Amp, the only thing actually in the city you'd have to worry about is either Kronos using his Time Stop to get up to some shenanigans (even then, it's hard to imagine what he'd do with about a minute of free time against enemies that big) or else an air base getting called up to send an A-10 to take them out with airstrikes. Which is actually fairly likely to happen if those things are stomping around inside the city, but with Super Speed you might be able to hide them in the ocean or something before the planes can take off and reach the city.
>>
>>30350350
Interesting idea.
>>
>>30350190

Only thing that sticks out as an actual problem is that the flamethrower on the mech is apparently based off of Project Bonfire. That's chemical weapons, like nerve gas and shit, not flamethrowers. Bonfire is just a codename.

I can't see any difference between terror bots and warrior bots, but if you just want to have the same model available in two different styles then I guess mission accomplished.
>>
>>30350416
>I can't see any difference between terror bots and warrior bots, but if you just want to have the same model available in two different styles then I guess mission accomplished.

They are designed to look extremely scary, that's all. In case we need to intimidate someone or drive city into panic.
Is there some kind of a stat which can influence that? Then I might change some of the stats.

>Only thing that sticks out as an actual problem is that the flamethrower on the mech is apparently based off of Project Bonfire. That's chemical weapons, like nerve gas and shit, not flamethrowers. Bonfire is just a codename.
I see. I thought it was some kind of a chemical fire, stronger than usual. Regular flamethrower it is.
>>
>>30350413

I have an elaborate plan which involves these suits, if it works then we can beat all of the Team Blue in one fell swoop AND intimidate the rest of the Gangs unconditionally surrendering.
>>
>>30350413
>>30350480

So basically the idea is this:
Julio gets mech powers and can wield these mechs (after possessing Asrael's body). Together with IM, there would be 9 of these Mechs. With their Terminator power, there would be also 81 Drones (or any other terminator models).

So we get that.

Then we start spreading the rumors in our territory about some BIG project that the Iron Master is working on. A super weapon which will change the whole power-situation in LA (Team Blue doesn't know about Asreal's death yet) Something really scary that the heroes would look for it and would want to stop it. We want to make it look like it is in developing stage and if they break it, then Iron Masters plans will be set back (drat!)

[it is a long plan, I'll continue in the other post so that you guys know that I'm still typing]
>>
File: 1392836973380.jpg-(232 KB, 817x659, warehouse shipping container.jpg)
232 KB
232 KB JPG
>>30350561

In reality we do this:

In one of our harbor regions, we convert a warehouse to look like an advanced laboratory/work shop. We put some warrior bots as a token defense (like 12 of them).
We try to lure Behemoth and Amp
After the heroes battle them, they will find a "HIGH SECURITY" are where only some people are allowed to go in. Naturally they break the doors and find themselves in some kind of a big storage room where all kind of machinery, lab notes, high tech equipment lies around.

In the middle of it stands SOMETHING huge covered by a big-ass tarp. The heroes remove it and find one of the battle suits. Everything should point to how that is The ONLY suit in existence.

Naturally, like in every cliched super comic, the mech awakens and attacks them.

Now, here it gets interesting. The purpose of the battle is not to defeat Amp and Behemoth but to make Kronos expend his time-powers by saving them. All of the attacks that Mech makes should try to keep them alive but look sufficiently deadly.
IN CASE they actually manage to defeat it. The shipping containers outside house 2 more mechs.

Now comes the second Phase:
[cont]
>>
>>30350465

So far Cunning and Insight have been used to govern most social interactions. As a general rule I've treated intimidation as less like a tactic you roll dice for and more like a strategy you plan out. If you go out of your way to do something scary, people will probably be scared.
>>
I forgot to add, the Harbor warehouse in question should be in secluded area so that no one can film or see these massive walking tanks.

>>30350682
While the battle in the harbor rages on the actual purpose of the whole scheme get in motion:
Defeat Kronos.
As always, Kronos should be in his mansion observing the happenings through Amp and Behemoth.
Before the battle, we set up several mechs near his house (but not very near, like 2-3 miles). They should be moved in various areas around his house in big trucks. If everything goes perfectly, they wont be used at all and only their drones. We also send in several insect bots and try to take over important things in his house (security, comms, whatever). We must try to intercept any messages he might immediately send after the Mech gets revealed so that no one else knows about it.

Once Kronos uses much of his powers, we start the assault with drones (or any other terminators), Rica and Red Death (Julio should be overseeing the battle at the Harbor).

Here is how I want it to go:
Use lots of knock-out gas and flashbangs. Kronos' power would be less effective against AoE attacks. Before we assault his house we deploy the gas around his house for about 20-30 seconds then we move in.
Then the battle goes as normal. Overwhelm him with numbers. Have some of the insect bots ambush him and inject sedatives into his blood-stream.

Anyway, that is the gist of the plan. What do you think?
>>
>>30350819
seems a bit overly complicated. Why not try a minmaxed stealth bot injecting him with sleepy juice that we whip up with SCIENCE! then just flat out abduct him? At night, while he's sleeping.
>>
>>30350819

IF the plan works then the next turn we can intimidate the gangs into surrender.
Here is where the terror bots part comes in too, btw.

We try to set up the meeting with their leaders. If they start fearing about assassination, have RD personally deliver message to them with the not-so-subtle threat that we can assassinate them at any point we want to.
Make it look like we want to negotiate something.

Have them come into some warehouse or such. Badly lit, in the evening or night. The lit space would have a round table which will make it look that this is a real negotiation meeting. Perhaps we want to iron out the super-serum sale or set up an alliance.

Once they gather however, the lights will turn on revealing 81 warrior and terror bots intermixed with 9 Battle Suits behind them, towering above then we basically ask them to work for us or we will destroy every last of them.

Oh, and the unconscious forms of Amp, Behemoth and Kronos should be around too. And the possesed body of Asrael.

Gunboat diplomacy basically.

>>30350874
But very villainous, don't you think? Also, if that plan fails (which I'm certain it will because that fucker always has something up his sleeve and I think his house would be incredibly defended against such things)
>>
>>30350974
Forgot to add, our off the Shelf insect bots have S8 C5, and in our tech form we can use Good Luck to boost the little guys rolls by up to 5
>>
>>30350974
>Also, if that plan fails (which I'm certain it will because that fucker always has something up his sleeve and I think his house would be incredibly defended against such things)

Fuck, forgot the rest.
If it fails then we don't have a back up plan.
The sure way to defeat Kronos is to drown him in sea of minor troops, we actually did that ones.

(To be honest: I want at least the battle at the harbor happen just to see some reactions of the heroes. I really like fluff in quests and love seeing how the actions of MC get reflected in different way.
I'm sad that there is almost nothing about how the things are in our territory or no significant fluff about our minions. I read the wiki and apparently our gang is extremely professional and look more like mercenaries than a real gang. Which came to me as a surprise because I really did see them as a regular gang)

>>30350993
Do you have the stats of the Morph forms? I asked OP but I think he missed that.

Also, do you agree on giving Julio Mech powers?
>>
>>30351090
Julio and Rica supposedly have side-quests that will play out eventually. Kestral was supposed to be corrupted gradually, step by step. Which has sorta happened, nothing ever goes to plan. Cat had a friendly relationship with us before Asteral scared her out of town. She'll probably be back now that he's dead, especially if we're willing to hire her for long range luck. Mesmer might return as well.
>>30351090
I've forgotton them honestly.
>>
>>30351090
>If it fails then we don't have a back up plan.
Actually, if it fails we'll have lost a bot. Hardly the end of the world.
>>
>>30351179
>Cat had a friendly relationship with us before Asteral scared her out of town. She'll probably be back now that he's dead, especially if we're willing to hire her for long range luck. Mesmer might return as well.

We should send Red Death to find them. He's been proving real useful with investigations.
I was thinking having him replace Whisper.

>>30351195
Meh, it is not that the bots are important. It will let him know that we started targetting him specifically and he might prepare somehow. At this point almost no one knows we killed Asreal and they think we are preoccupied with him.

That plan isn't bad but if it fails, we need to overwhelm him anyway. If we agree on Julio upgrade then we have 81 bots to play with.
Instead of sending one, we should send several, others should try to hack into his security if the main one fails.
>>
>>30351090

I never did write down the exact stats of the different morphs, because their only purpose was to boost Tech and Combat. If there were specific powers attached, it's been too long for me to remember.

So long as you guys are still deliberating, a behind-the-scenes note: I've been trying to find ways to get interaction with the gang to crop up more often, but haven't really been able to come up with anything. There aren't any real *characters* there except for Julio and Rica if you count them, and it's so massive by now that it's hard to know where to start adding them. If I ever run a sequel quest I think what I'd do is have a random character quirk generator and then assign each set an officer with a randomly assigned quirk. Would make the gang feel more like part of the story.
>>
Anyway, can we have Julio scene?

Basically call him, tell him to come to our hideout.
There we will present him with Asrael's body and the mechs we want him to command. Fluffwise, the explanation should be like this: anyone not us requires neural implant in their body to command the mechs. No anyone can be outfitted with it, only bodies with Super Powers, the implant feeds of them to powers the mechs. Asreal's body already comes with the neural upgrade implanted.

The idea is that we can always turn in off in case of betrayal and the mechs cannot act against us (in case that we are not aware of the betrayal so the henchman cannot ambush us with them)
>>
>>30351340
Perhaps have the Iron Master make a walk in his own territory?
Would be funny if he goes in his actual bodydouble (which looks exactly like him) but since we are so reclusive NONE of our underlings would even know it is us. That would be a great way to see how our gang and hooker business works since no one would try to act if they know the boss is coming.
>>
>>30351340
If others dont come up with anything or disagrees. Lets do this >>30351350 now
>>
OP, is it possible to have actions left over so that the characters in question can be used to protect the territories?
Having Julio command terminators and protect a territory in case SWAT or Police comes might be a good idea.
>>
>>30351340
Tech had good luck attached. Combat had an insight boosting power IIRC
>>30351340
In Total war, if one of your nameless captains leads an army well enough he gets a stat sheet and a promotion to general. Maybe try something similar?
>>
>>30351340
Have some events pop up in our territory and gang which require our attention?
>>
>>30351179

Rica's arc happened without anyone even noticing. No one ever really bothered to look into any of the things she said or did except for once, and that one turned out to be you barking up the wrong tree anyway, so it mostly played out under the radar, because it's not like she's going to come to you asking for a shoulder to cry on. In the future I should probably make less guarded characters.
>>
>>30351495
The limited action system really works against that. Its sudden death on sidequests unfortunately. When stuff is happening fast we really have to allocate our actions carefully. Which, while an interesting element of strategy tends to sharpy limit secondary interactions.
>>
>>30351564
Have them be minor that they don't really need actions to be responded to? Or they don't need to be responded immediately.
Not everything we do needs actions to be spend on, like social interaction for example.
>>
>>30351350
>>30351411

Oh right. Julio possessed a random person. We don't need random people wandering into our hideout.

Tell him to deposes before coming here.

Actually, let it not be the hideout but a secluded warehouse deep in our territory. We will speak through a body double.
>>
>>30351538
Yeah, we were never very good at following up on sidequest things. In retrospect, being told flat out that we couldn't get cloning tech before the plot had progressed further probably discouraged adventurism. Not that you didn't have legit balance reasons for not allowing us to clone supers.
>>
OP, can we do this this turn?:

Search for James Babich in data-bases. Try to find out everything we can about him.
I assume we have DNA samples and face pictures of that girl we captured from his hideout. Search for them in data-bases too, make cross-reference with the findings on Asrael to see how they are related.

Also, separate Dr Span from others since Kestrel is coming to see him.
Man, I'm afraid she is going to take him and simply go away. We need to prepare to convince her otherwise. I'm not an expert on these things as you might have noticed after my handling of her last thread.
I'm asking this for the 3rd time I think: Send someone to pick up the suit she left.
>>
>>30351395

I'm not really feeling up to this right now, but it's a good idea.

>>30351434

Possible, but not likely to actually help. Sets disband when morale hits zero, not when there are no surviving gang members left, so usually when a SWAT team comes knocking you don't usually pull out your assault rifle, you call your lawyer. Because if you pull out your assault rifle and win you are still down by a half-dozen guys because they were killed in the battle, and the remaining guys might start thinking that maybe the gangs in Las Vegas are less likely to demand they put their lives on the line every time the cops come knocking. You get the occasional gunfight when the odds happen to favor your guys, the facility they're defending is full of extremely incriminating evidence anyway, or the local capo just happens to be unstable or stupid. This is also why, when you're suppressing precincts, you don't do it by opening fire on them. You assassinate key officers. The government ALWAYS has more firepower than you, it's just a question of if they know where to point it and, if they do, whether they can get it pointed at you before you escape.

>>30351495

That's kind of an interesting idea. Sort of like the random events in...Galactic Civilizations, I think? Basically just "here is a situation, here are three solutions," with different little effects based on which route you take, and since this is a quest you could make up a fourth way which might have different mechanical effects. And it'd be an excuse to write a scene with the grunts. Neat.

Thanks man. I mean, these are the kind of things I was talking about when mentioned the lack of gang/territory fluff. I actually did think that every time police comes knocking it turns into a bloody battle.
Also explains why gang system is so much different than normal system.
>>
>>30351751

Sure, Julio can do some digging, since he hasn't got much else to do. He's no master investigator, but as it happens James Babich isn't super hard to find. Nor is Lucy Quith, his associate. James Babich dropped out of high school about halfway through his senior year. He had a history of violence with other students, but school records do not elaborate much on what caused the fights (it's not like they care). Lucy was in and out of juvie for various drug related offenses (underage drinking, marijuana, and one acid trip on record), then fell off the radar 4 years ago. She was twenty at the time and hadn't yet been brought in for any crimes after her eighteenth birthday. None of it is very exceptional. Is there anything in particular you wanted to know about?
>>
>>30351952
political affiliations maybe? financial ties, funds whether he has any contacts among gang members.
>>
>>30351864

Yes. Stuff like that.
>>
>>30352032

Both families presume their missing (and, in any case, adult) children to be dead. None of them have any heavy associations with any political organization. Due to her location, Lucy is listed as an affiliate of the Nine Rollers, but only because she's known to have bought drugs from them. James has no known gang affiliations. There's no sign of significant financial funding for either of them.
>>
>Twirled Mustache @MCJohnnyQuest 5m
>Kronos isn't the only threat left in the city.

You and your shadowruns, OP.
I assume you mean the Team Blue since I doubt you are referring to Amp and Behemoth. And the gangs themselves don't seem to posses much power to stop us unless they hired someone.
Who then?
Artificer decided to make a come back? He actually sounds like a guy who could make our life hard.
Chimera hide-outs?
Dandurand is up to some shenanigans?
What other near-by supers do we know of anyway? White Mage?
Fuck.

We haven't re-hidden our phylacteries yet.

>>30351952
Just wanted to know who the guy is. Guess he was a violent shit-head from the start.

Oh, and I just remembered that I wanted to examine the wreckage of their hideout to see if anything survived and if we can learn something. RD with couple of insect bots seems like a good idea for this.

Scientology? Are they finally coming for revenge?

>Whisper sends reports of falling under attack from mechanized minions, and when the Red Death goes to investigate, he finds Tory, another member of Jack's organization, and Asrael, who nearly kills the Red Death and later Amp before fleeing.

Who the hell is Tory?
And, wow, Asreal tried to kill Amp?
>>
>>30352079

>Guess he was a violent shit-head from the start.

It's funny, because his life story so far is basically identical to Kestrel's. Believe it or not, people who decide that the best thing to do with their superpowers is to beat the shit out of criminals tend to have a violent history. Honestly, I am beyond sick of the hypocrisy about Asrael. You never shut up about how violent and murderous he is when your own bodycount is much higher and you torched Taser without a thought because you thought he might be a threat maybe at some point in the future. Honestly, is just the slightest amount of self-awareness too much to ask?

>>30352105

Asrael had a mask. Although it was very often just a piece of white clothing tied over his face just beneath the eyes.

Also, Julio has one action left. What're you doing with it?
>>
>>30352402
I always saw Asrael as a similar character to the Iron Master actually. Just that we tend to act on an industrial level compared to him, both in goals and actions. We are both willing to do immoral things to achieve arguably moral ends. We just do it on a larger scale with correspondingly greater upsides and collateral damage.
>>
>>30352402
are there any sets we need to build up? Things seem to be a bit outdated in the wiki.

Hey, that doesn't change the fact that he was violent asshole.
Never said that we weren't. Geez, man, we are a super-villain. Healthy dose of hypocrisy is nothing to be surprised at (and the fact that players sometimes seem to believe that themselves is just a bonus)
Also, that gives me more hope that Kestrel can be converted to our side. She is basically almost there anyway.

>>30352740
Alright, lets do that then.
>>
>>30352768
>Make an Elite Set.

Elite, why? It is expensive as fuck.
I've been trying to save up money for Bank unlock. Next turn we are getting extra 23 resource and should have enough money for that. Then we can start up opening banks in Hooker regions and really make some dough.
We should make the company completely detached from us though. So that no one targets our banks.
>>
>>30352826
We don't have many heavy hitting sets left.
>>30352783
I'll chalk that up to weakness of the medium then.
>>
>>30352856
Lets make a Bruiser set instead? Police is not going to take actions against us for a turn or two. Though Kronos might.
>>
>>30352589

>Actually, the Iron Master tends to care about civilian casualties

No you don't. The Battle of Harbor City was something you planned and there was no version of that which didn't end with hundreds of thousands of bullets flying through the air in a densely populated urban area. You're happy to equip your mechs with extremely powerful experimental weaponry that punches through advanced body armors and therefore also things like car doors and apartment walls and other things that typically stand between civilians and stray projectiles. You've been consistently happy to start gunfights in the middle of the street for no other reason except more wealth and power, and once started a full-on gang war between two gangs you didn't even care about just to distract the police from the smaller gang war you were fighting at the time. Your disregard for civilian casualties is as pronounced as Team Blue's, but tends to cause far more damage because of the greater scale of your operations.

>>30352768

Sure. Anything you want to call it?
>>
>>30352985
yea but we are playing a delusional megalomaniac who has defeated death its self.

Really are those with our powers/money/intelligence even people?
>>
>>30352826
>Next turn we are getting extra 23 resource and should have enough money for that

Speaking of trying to gain new resources.
OP, what happens if we sell or give away a bot? I don't mean to sell them to Ronin or anyone else in the city. Sell them outside so that they have no relevance to the mechanics anymore.

I was thinking of setting up Companion bots. Basically RealDolls but as real as they can get. The buyers can ask for any appearance, background, characteristics they want in their Companions. The AI is sophisticated enough to act identically to humans.
Of course, we will hard code some basic laws into them so that they cannot be used to commit crimes and if the buyer asks for an exact replica of a real person, the AI will not allow impersonation of them. (So no buying a mayor of a city and replacing him with a Companion)

Actually, to make them not impact the mechanics, the bots should have gutted stats so that they aren't higher than average human.

I'm asking this because I want set up trade of them. Actual RealDolls cost up to $10k. So these should cost $25-50k a unit. Selling just one is obviously too much trouble for tiny profit (so tiny that it wont even show up on the radar).
I was thinking of trying to sell 10-20 each turn. Advertise them, make an internet page where the buyers can customize them.

Another idea for a steady income boost was this:
Use our spy insects to gather dirt on various celebrities and rich people in LA and blackmail them.
>>
>>30353059
But then we cannot say we care about civilians.
I really do wish we had played like a proper anti-villain but we simply didn't think about the consequences enough.
Maybe in the future we can do more good than evil and finally stop being a hypocrite but right now we are a proper villain.

>>30352985
>Sure. Anything you want to call it?

I don't want an elite set. That shit is too expensive. Make it something cheaper. We are so near to unlocking Bank business. After we do, then we will start rolling in money.
>>
>>30353059

I don't care how delusional the Iron Master is. Just quit trying to convince me OOC that you're concerned for civilian casualties at all, because you are clearly not.

>>30353124

Elite or bruiser, the standard naming scheme would be [Metal] Guard. Also, if no one's changing their minds, we should roll for Bruiser or Elite.
>>
Rolled 19

>>30353237
That other guys wants an elite set and I want bruiser. So let have us roll and the higher one will be the chosen result.

I assume Julio will get an upgrade during the turn? Also our bots will be changed during the turn too or can we change between designs at will?
>>
>>30352985
I had seem to recall that our sets were trained to be unusually clean when it comes to civilian casualties. I figured our meds were the same way
>>
>>30353309

It takes about a half hour to overhaul a single terminator, a restriction put in place only to make sure that you can't do it in midcombat, so basically yeah, you can rebuild them at-will. So far as Julio is concerned, yeah, I'm putting that scene off for a bit, but there's also one thing about the writeup that's off. The neural implant thing implies that Julio will just be commanding bots you built, but that's not how it works. If Julio has the mechs power, he can build his own, just like you. He might be copying your techniques like Jessy Pinkman copying Mr. White, but he can do it himself.
>>
>>30353392

Your sets are trained not to commit random acts of violence on the local civilian population for respect, the way some gangs do. But that doesn't mean they magically become perfectly accurate when firing assault rifles on full auto. When bullets miss their target, as the overwhelming majority of bullets always do, they're going to hit something. And in the middle of Los Angeles, that something has decent of odds of being a civilian bystander.

Also:

>>30353068

Any terminator bot still in operation counts against your limit. You can sell them, but so long as they continue to function, they're taking up your command pool. At 50k a pop, even with a full suite of command mechs you won't be able to make much of a respectable profit.

Blackmail is workable, though.
>>
>>30353611
>If Julio has the mechs power, he can build his own, just like you. He might be copying your techniques like Jessy Pinkman copying Mr. White, but he can do it himself.

I just have hard time believing Julio being able to build these monstrosities on his own. I thought that idea of giving some kind of a gadget to him which allows him be able to command them would be more believable.

Ah. Shame.
You sure it can not be done? Even if these aren't actual terminator versions but more simpler robots made out of inferior materials? Like the maximum stat they have can not go over 2 or even 1 making them no different from a random member in a gang.
I think it would be cool, I like doing shit that fits our archetype. Maybe have us make a one time investment in resources and couple of technological checks to gain this as a bonus?

blackmail and selling super serum is cool and all but kinda boring.
>>
>>30353753

Julio might not be a mechanical genius, but he is the guy who runs all your secret factories. Makes plenty of sense to me that he's going to have picked up on how to assemble a mech. Particularly seeing as how the hardware isn't really the hard part, and getting the software working is just a matter of clicking the install button. He doesn't have to write new code unless he wants a mech that does something other than pretend to be a human bystander, fight battles, infiltrate buildings, or spy on people. And that is a fairly wide range of capabilities already.
>>
>>30353672
>>30353833

Also, I guess we could always kidnap somebody. Sigh.
We should just steal a Billionaire, force him into eidolos for all his memories, posses his body, "ransom" him back and have all the money forever.
But that's boring.
>>
>>30353753

I thought I posted a response to this but it isn't showing up. Test post to see if it's a problem on my end or what.

Well dang, I didn't know that he was so far involved.
Okay, cool. That sound more convincing. Especially the part where he doesn't have to invent them.

The ability to create swarms of 100% loyal bots from nothing and in arbitrarily large numbers is actually very useful even if they have very low stats.

>>30353957

Billionaires in a world where supervillains exist are not soft targets. They have money and they spend it on defenses.

Now that I think about it.

I don't agree.
I fully suited up command mech can have 36 terminators. Say we pull in all of our and Julios pool that would be 11 mechs. 9*36 = 396.
396*.5 = 198

We sell them for almost 20 million$ and then say "FUCK YOU" and get our bots back / have them self-destuct. And when the buyers whine we tell them to sue us, ha ha.
This kind of shit would work only once though. But it is kinda hilarious.

>The ability to create swarms of 100% loyal bots from nothing and in arbitrarily large numbers is actually very useful even if they have very low stats.
Point. I actually didn't think about it.

>Billionaires in a world where supervillains exist are not soft targets. They have money and they spend it on defenses.
Double point.

Doesn't mean we cannot kidnap a performer and finally archive our life-long dream of becoming a world-famous ballerina

Now, atop a criminal empire encompassing nearly half the gang capital city of the USA, with mechanistic powers unmatched in all the world and complimented by a terrifying suite of necromantic abilities, the Iron Master finally has all that he needs to fulfill his sinister motivation: To become the little girl.

Not really. Don't actually do that. I will veto it. Smith Sterling doesn't roll that way.

But the self-destructing realdoll thing could work.
>>
Since we argued Iron Master's ethics, I would argue that he is a Utilitarian who operates on a truly terrifying scale. With a decent dose of selfishness and hypocrisy.

yeah that would be creepy

>But the self-destructing realdoll thing could work.
If we wanted to be more subtle, we could simply have them malfunction greatly, have their AIs be wiped and/or electronics fried.
Then we can blame that Team-Blue/Anonymous/Feminists had developed a virus to break all of our robots and had unleashed it. They succeeded but we already virus-protected our new sets. Then shrug, apologize, tell them they don't have a warranty and if they want them fixed, they should just buy new ones.
And then we do that again.

Well, this thread didn't really go anywhere and I'm already kind of exhausted. So today is kind of a testament to why it is probably a bad idea to muscle through sickness to run a quest. I'll go ahead and archive it because there was a lot of discussion, and hopefully by Friday I'll be feeling well enough to take care of Julio's mechs, the showdown with Kronos, and whatever the Hell Kestrel plans on doing with her father.
>>
>>30354553
Alright man. Thanks for running with a sickness anyway, although you shouldn't have. Get well soon.
I assume tomorrow you will be running D&D or simply resting?
>>
>>30354608

Running D&D. And relying on my players to make it work, mostly. They just finished a dungeon so hopefully they'll spend most of their time figuring out what to do next and getting there so I won't have to try and run any major conversations or anything. And maybe I'll be feeling better tomorrow. This thing can't last forever.
>>
>>30354669
I see.
Good luck, man.

I just realized why us giving Julio mech upgrade not working upset me. I kinda wanted a hammy scene where we gift him control over these mechs as a reward for being our first and loyal henchman. Perhaps it can work anyway, in a sense that we will be granting him the mech designs (even though mechanically he would be getting the designs first) and then showing him to his first MBS.

Anyway, I should be sleeping too.
