The last thing you remember is preparing for a counter-heist. The first thing you remember is the preparation getting complicated by a mother.

Your name is Alice, and you are a prototype infiltration/assassination android who is currently waiting at a small restaurant in Old City with Uncle Zack and Rebecca, the mother of your love, Ian Carter.

You received a call from Rat saying that Cassandra, Rat's mother, is ready to meet with you about the counter-heist and fooling the Red Queen.

She made a noise when you mentioned complications and that there would be others at the meeting, but didn't say anything more.

As you wait, a man suddenly approaches your table and drops a thick envelope on the table, "My boss says thanks for your work, she looks forward to you finishing the other one."

You nod without looking at him and the man leaves as Uncle Zack opens the envelope and whistles, "Three-thousand in large bills. What did you do?"

"Broke a pilot out of jail, she's meeting us here." You reply as you take the money.

Wallet: 4468 Tenge

Rebecca snorts, "What's the other job?" She asks.

"Apparently she wants an Imam killed," you reply dourly, "I would have done it too if I didn't show the pilot the photo."

Rebecca says nothing as you continue to wait, until the door opens and a familiar woman approaches your table.

"Good to see you again," Cassandra remarks as she takes a seat, "Mind introducing us?"

"Zack Sinclair." Zack shakes Cassandra's hand.

"Rebecca Carter." Rebecca replies simply and Cassandra blinks.

"Carter..." She looks at you, "One of the kids on the job is named Carter. Is she..."

"His mother. Yes." Rebecca growls out.

1d100 for general voting, best roll out of five is chosen.

Combat is 1d100 with modifiers for how many shots you fire in combat. Best out of three roll is chosen.

Burst Fire and Full-Auto Fire attacks can be done multiple times in one action, but each attack after the first incurs a cumulative -10 penalty.

Body armour subtracts from total damage done per attack.

You can target multiple enemies in a single action. Roll 1d100+modifier for each target. Specify for each roll the target and the attack used.

Takedowns and Executions are 1d100-20 and a short paragraph describing the Takedown or Execution. Best out of three rolls is chosen, but I will pick which action description looks the best to me.

Reactor Charges are your healing mechanic. Expend a Reactor charge and roll 12d6. Reactor Charges stack, and are regained through Takedowns and Executions.

Stability is a measure of your Yandere psychological state. If you lose a certain amount, known as the Snap Limit, you Snap and enter a state of emotional hysteria and brief psychosis. Lose all your Stability, and you go Berserk, and will perform a violent action, often against your love interest.

Relationship is how strong your relationship with Ian Carter is. You have to keep your relationship as high as possible. If you drive the relationship down into negative numbers, Ian will reject you, and you will proceed to murder him and commit suicide.

Good luck.
>>
Cassandra blinks, "Huh, so that's what you meant by complications."

You nod, "They want in on the counter-heist. Zack is part of the police and Rebecca's informed me that she's ex-military, they could be useful."

Cassandra nods, "That would be useful actually. Getting some police support would help with taking down the Red Queen and create a smoke-screen for returning the helicopter."

She turns to you, "But first, we need to deal with the Imam. The Red Queen will have spies, but there's a way to fool them." She pulls out a Wasp Knife, "One injection of Torpor, enough to knock him out long enough to be considered dead. A friend of mine will retrieve and revive him in a safe place."

You take the knife as your systems analyse it.

Wasp Knife
Damage: 1d6
Special: Injection - You can Inject a target instead of stabbing them, administering the drug contained within.
Drug: Torpor - A potent drug designed to give badly wounded soldiers a chance to be recovered in time for medical treatment, it also has the advantage of mimicking a dead state.

With the knife pocketed, you consider what to talk about next.

>Talk about the Imam's security detail.

"So what sort of security can I expect?" You ask while checking your sat-map images of the address, finding that it correlates to a large building.

"It's a tower mansion, basically a private apartment complex." Cassandra replied, "Security detail of twelve ex-Iranian Armed Forces, with mil-spec weaponry and gear including a Juggernaut Suit."

That catches your attention, "So I have to do this quietly, that makes sense. Anyone else living there?"

"Yeah, a small staff, mostly house-keeping, along their families and the security detail's family and finally the Imam's family. Lots of innocents, and if you screw up, lots of collateral damage."

You nod, "I understand. I need to get to him alone, where can I get access?"

Cassandra looks thoughtful, "I've flown over it a few times. You should be able to get in through the roof or one of the balconies, but the Imam sleeps in a secured room with a Bojim Safe-Bed."

"How do you know that?" You ask curiously and Cassandra smiles.

"I know a guy in security, and he was able to confirm the delivery from one of his friends." You file that away as you consider your options.

"What about stabbing him in the street?" Cassandra shrugs at the question.

"You'd have to get him after the morning prayers, any other time he's going to be surrounded by the congregants and someone's going to grab you."

You nod once more, "I understand, thanks."

Cassandra smiles, "No problem."

"Now that we have that out of the way," Rebecca interrupts, "How about you tell us about this counter-heist you have in mind?"

Cassandra nods, "The plan is simple in theory. We hit the Samsonov facility at the same time as the kids and steal it before them. We have this one," she indicates you, "stall the kids while we get the chopper prepped and ready to fly."

(Cont.)
>>
"I know a few people who owe me favours in the New City police division." Zack speaks up, "Get me some faces, and I can have those kids arrested if they come from New City."

"That should give us enough time to case the place ourselves." Rebecca muses, "But it's not going to hold them for long."

"I hope so." Cassandra remarks, "We need at least two days to case the facility, secure an entry point that the kids won't see, and get information on their security systems."

She looks at you, "I hope that master of disguise stuff I saw you do when you broke me out will work there, because there'll be a lot riding on it."

Cassandra nods, "I can believe it." She turns to Rebecca and Zack, "I'm putting together a team, and I want you to meet them."

"Understood," Rebecca replies, "I was about to ask the same thing."

Zack looks thoughtful, "I'll come along as well, I may be able to provide something more to the plan if I know who I'll be working with as well."

"Are you sure?" Rebecca asks curiously and Zack smiles.

"Like you, I took a day off, besides, the information I got yesterday is something they'd want to know."

Rebecca nods and regards you with an even expression, "Alice, go take care of the Imam, then call me." She writes down her own mobile number, "I'll give you a place to meet up with us."

You take the number and nod before leaving the cafe.

>Attack the Imam after prayers

You head for the smuggler tunnel, intent on ambushing the Imam after the afternoon prayers were complete.

The tunnel entrance was in use as you arrived and you hid yourself as a group of people exited the tunnel, smugglers most likely, and walked off, but you wait for a minute or two until you know the coast is clear before heading down into the tunnel.

Reappearing in the laneway, you immediately head towards the Mosque, navigating the streets as your systems come fully online.

Sorry, got distracted. Let me make a small rewrite.
>>
>Disguise Roll: 56 + 30=86

You take snapshots of various face and compile a composite before running into a men's store and grabbing some cheap men's clothes.

Slipping into an alleyway, you engage your disguise systems, facial and physical features changing as a teenage girl is turned into an old man before you get changed and carefully place your clothing into the bag you had the men's clothing in.

Properly disguised and with the Wasp Knife hidden in a pocket, you continue making your way to the Mosque, getting within visual range of it just as you hear the first part of the call to afternoon prayers.

You duck into a side-street and hide your clothing behind a dumpster, ready to be grabbed and changed into once you escape, before hurrying towards the Mosque.

Now, you could wait until the prayers are over. It will be more difficult to reach the Imam, but with people exiting you could flee easily enough in the confusion.

Another option is to go through with the prayers and use that to get close and attack the Imam, but you could be caught after doing the deed.

There might be another option you haven't considered.

>Go through with the prayers.

You walk into the mosque with all the dignity of an old man and prepare for the prayers, keeping an eye out for your target as you go through the ritual ablutions.

You spot him as you head in to begin the Salat.

As the prayers begin, you keep your eyes fixed firmly on the Imam as he leads the prayers, planning your approach using data culled from your libraries.

You need to get him alone, away from witnesses. Give Cassandra's people time to collect the Imam and get him hidden.

You just hope you can pull this off as the prayers come to an end and everyone begins rolling their prayer mats to take home while you take the communal one back to it's shelf.

Steeling yourself, you approach the Imam, "Excuse me."

He turns and smiles at you, "Hello, and how can I help you?"

You give him a tired smile, "I was hoping that you would be able to give me some advice. My son, he strays from the faith as of late, and I fear he may stray entirely..."

"And you wish for some advice? Of course. Please, this way, we'll speak in my office."

He leads you past two of his bodyguards and through the corridors with them close behind you.

He reaches a set of double doors and turns to the guards, "Maintain your surveillance, make sure none disturb us unless it is an emergency."

"Yes sir." One of the guards say as the Imam leads you inside his office and you take a seat in front of his desk, "Now then, how has he been straying?"

"He has fallen in with the wrong crowd." You begin hesitantly, "And I fear that he'll become an accomplice in some criminal heist."

The Imam frowns, "That is quite a thing to say, how are you certain that he is involved in criminal activity?"

You look straight into his eyes, "He once asked me about you, but I could tell that he wasn't curious about faith."

The Imam stiffens and then he sighs, "I see, it seems the poor boy has been lead astray by one of the so-called 'crime lords' within the slums."

He looks thoughtful, "I know some people in the police. Perhaps he is being blackmailed, and if so, he can be helped and redeemed."

You smile gratefully, "Thank you, praise Allah, I had nearly lost hope."

He stands and walks around his desk and you stand as well. The two of you clasp hands, and then your expression becomes sad as you speak in your real voice, "I'm sorry."

He only has time to widen his eyes in shock as the Wasp Knife comes out, the blade retracting to reveal the injector needles as it goes into his neck.

As his body falls limp and you carefully lower him to the ground, you pull out your phone and call Cassandra.

She picks up on the second ring, "Hello?"

"It's me," you state professionally, "he's down and out of action." You check and confirm with your systems that although he is in a death-like state, he is alive, "Get your people to the mosque immediately."

"Don't worry, I've got people in place, just get out of there and don't cause a ruckus."

You nod and hang up, before balancing your emotional systems and checking your clothing.

You carefully move the Imam back into his chair and turn it around to make it look like he's napping before leaving the room.

You pass the guards with any issues and head back outside into the streets of New City.

You decide that Rebecca and the others can wait, you have the time and opportunity to find and investigate your Mom's safehouse in District 9.

You check your maps and make a turn, heading down a street into the nicer parts of New City, looking at the fancy, expensive stores, the AR everywhere and the people walking around with sleek AR-glasses and fancy AR-gloves and wearable computers that look more like pieces of flexible plastic.

You also note a number of snide looks being sent your way because of your street clothes, but ignore them as you enter District 9.

District 9 is a lush garden district, with real houses instead of apartment buildings as you walk through the streets and arrive at the address listed.

This is it, an ivy-covered brick house. Mom's safehouse.

You take a deep breath and pass through the gate. A quick check reveals that the front door is locked, but you find a spare key and let yourself inside.

The house is well furnished as you enter the foyer. A large staircase leads upstairs and you can see a hallway heading to the back of the house.

As the water boils, you listen for any sort of movement or activity.

You roll out of the way of the retaliatory fire and come up in a stance.

You need to find a way to disable her and check your systems.

There! You can disable it through a emergency switch in the throat!

You get ready for it's attack.

Roll 1d100 Now! Best roll out of 3!

You rush forward, forcing it's gun up as it opens fire, emptying it's ammunition into the ceiling, before it shoves you back and drops it's gun.

Then she pulls something from her back and you stare wide-eyed as it presses a button and the chainsaw in her hands comes to life with a howl.

You narrow your eyes and grit your teeth. She doesn't mean to do this, she doesn't really want to kill you!

Which is why this feels so painful.

Roll 1d100-20 and describe a Takedown! Best Roll out of three, and remember, it must end with a strike to the throat!

here we go. We're never leaving without gas blades again.

Dash in, dash out, hitting the legs and lower torso. When she starts to attack, knock her one arm away, block the other and lose an arm, and go for the throat.

>GM: Incidentally, whichever Anon posted Sons of Fate by The Protomen, good choice.

You weave in close, the chainsaw howls again as the Assault/Commando swings the weapon down in an overhead strike that would cut you in two.

Your hands come up and catch the chainsaw at the base of the weapon, and your body twists, using the momentum to create enough force to lift your sister android off her feet and throw her into the air.

Time seems to slow down as her eyes meet yours, and then your fingers strike her throat like a hammer, and her body spasms in mid-air before crashing into the table.

Breathing heavily, you approach her body and suddenly your eyes widen.

I just can't get any of the rolls right today, guess it's just too early in the morning.
>>
>Roll: 76

You slide forward and grab the back of the Assault/Commando's neck, before pulling hard, ripping out a black plug in a shower of sparks as the Assault/Commando screams, body twisting horribly, before it finally goes still.

You check it's body, and notice that it's still active.

Sighing in relief, you sit back down on the ground and just sit there, doing nothing.

You look at the unconscious Assault/Commando and a question enters your mind.

Was it possible for That Man to know you were here?

Or was the Assault/Commando sent here to find something else?

Those questions dominate your mind as you sit there in the silence.

(And that's part 11! Part 12 will unfortunately be up on Friday 9:00AM, GMT+10. Next time! Continuing to investigate the Safehouse!)
