And we are back, with the Brass vs. Shockwave match today.

Should we arrange some charity and demonstration matches for our other fighters before their seasons begin, or give them the time solely to train? what about a charity event with Brass? Do you think there should be a fight with Bomber Lord before the tournament scene begins?

Let's meet up with our Silver League fighters!
>>
No Bomber fight. We have to keep him away from Brass until the right moment.

Just let them train in the background for now, although a round-table for our Gold fighters to discuss how we're going to structure the storylines this season would be good (Ami/Aura Paladin 'love triangle', Python's possible new Zen Boxer gimmick, etc)

Also, I missed yesterday, and couldn't find it in the archive. Link please?

The only one I really remember is Michael. I think we should reintroduce/reinvent them because apparently they fell off my mental map

Ah, nm, found it

*********

Wednesday, a few days before Brass' next fight, in Ned's office.

Ned: -dressed in a perfectly cut business suit, enjoying a cup of coffee- "So how did the night go?"

Aritsu: -having just poured the coffee for Ned, she is holding the coffee pot with one hand, and using the other to wipe its beak clean with a white handkerchief- "Ah, it was fun. Did you know euphry had alcohol-controlling powers?"

As usual, your beautiful secretary is looking amazing in the openly sexist, too small uniform of the XWF secretaries, managing to make the skimpy, cliche outfit look completely professional by sheer efficiency alone. She prepared the contract documents, offers and requests from companies and charity institutions into printed form and had them on your desk before you arrived, as the feeling of actually holding them in your hands truly helps the mental processes.

You put down the coffee cup and wonder about it. As a Nova, you no longer need the "boost" from coffee in the mornings, yet you still enjoy it. Is it merely out of having gotten used to it, or can your body still appreciate the caffeine?

Since Brass' next opponent is Shockwave, you dig out some of his fights from the company archives, and start playing them on the room's holo while eyeing the documents on your desk.

*******
Want to check the contract offers, the charity requests, the shockwave fights, prepare a meeting to discuss the gold season "plot" or something else?

Also, the fans know about Aura + Okaba, they may not buy the story. Tho it may work if they feel they are being "let into the secret" if maybe we have Okaba and Aura talk about it on the live show while it happens on the weekends. I think that if they feel they can trust Aura and Okaba and the rest of the silver guys as a source of straight info outside of the arena, they may more easily trust stuff they hear on the show later.

Most of the documents are requests from companies that want to work on advertisement campaigns with our fighters, or magazines asking for interviews. Just as many, however, are requests from !N and other entertainment networks wanting a interview with Bella, Euphry, Lyann and Mako, probably because they were absent during the !N interview at the album launch.

Men's Health wants Brass to do a cover and interview for them, again, and is asking already for a Okaba + Aura cover and interview for next month.

MTV is trying to get some believability back, and thus you are not surprised they are basically begging for a interview with the band members. Pretty much any of them. And they are offering to pay to have them make a music video if you will grant them exclusive broadcast rights to it for the first month.

Ned: "I thought they were just a (bad) reality shows channel."

Aritsu: "Apparently the M is for music."

Ned: "I thought it was just trying to be Mocking or something. What else seems good?"

Aritsu: "Squire Magazine wants Python to do an interview about his trip to the Himalayas. I'm not sure how they found out."

Ned: "I actually read that one."

Aritsu: "GIANT wants the entire band to do a series of interviews as well. I checked, it's a proper magazine, even considering its covers. Speaking of which, they want one of the whole band."

Looking at the magazines and their backgrounds:

Complex is a New York-based bi-monthly magazine founded by the fashion designer Marc Ecko that has expanded into a lifestyle website and media network for young men aged 16–29.[3] Complex reports on trends in fashion, music, art and design, technology, sports and video games with a focus on niche cultures such as streetwear, sneaker culture, hip-hop, and graphic art.

Esquire appeared, for the first time, in October 1933 to "to become the common denominator of masculine interests—to be all things to all men." It is considered a good and trust.worthy publication.

GQ (formerly Gentlemen's Quarterly) is an American monthly men's magazine focusing on fashion, style, and culture for men, through articles on food, movies, fitness, sex, music, travel, sports, technology, and books.

****
Do you want to do business with any of those magazines? what about !N or MTV?
>>
>>30499970
Genius. Everyone agrees? Honestly, killing MTV would be an act of mercy
>>
>>30500002

We could probably get all the mags done... If we set aside a whole day, and gave each set of journalists a limited time slot.

Possibly with the added stipulation that they have to agree to promotional pieces on our Silver fighters, too.

Full-on Media Blitz.
>>
>>30500015
But then how will the people watch season whatever of Big Brother?

Who am I kidding? Kill it in the the most anti-climatic fashion possible.
>>
>>30500077
Well, we could also send different people to different magazines.

Also, I remember a band member saying they didint made a music video because they felt they didint need to promote their music like that. What will the media say if they do one now? Or should they play it off as "Yes, we said that, but this one didint's cost us a cent. Are YOU going to turn off free stuff? we saw it as having fun, really" or something like that
>>
>>30500015
Honestly I'd rather research MTV's competition and see if there was enough of a niche left for a real music focused television channel and if so launch our own. But that's me.
>>
>>30500110
I think they'd be willing to give it a chance for a shot to kill MTV.

All we really have to do is tell them that MTV is trying to gain its respect back with the hardcore music crowd, and instruct Eurphry and Bella not to hold back not one bit.

Then we cackle as Euphra manages to rack up their costs, while Bella ensures that most of the footage isn't able to be shown on T.V.
>>
>>30500146
Dude, we have so much money that if we wanted to, we could found our own entertainment channel.

Which would actually be pretty sweet, since we already have heavy ties into the XWF and music industry.
>>
>>30500110
About the music video. We can always just release a session recording or rerun the holo of a live concert. Give how strong a show they put on I'd suggest using the latter for their first holo-single anyway, just make sure the footage is spliced together from several angles so we have close ups on what everyone's doing and then zoom outs including a view of the crownd for the some of the special effects (we want to leave some of those hidden so people still have an even bigger experience when the go to our concerts) and cut aways for the opening and closing. Should work and avoid going back on what the band said.

Good lord, I just realised the true purpose of this band

>You see, eventually your music will help put an end to war and poverty. It will align the planets and bring them into universal harmony, allowing meaningful contact with all forms of life, from extra terrestrials to common household pets. And, it's excellent for dancing.

I bet Lyann would accept that challenge.
>>
>>30500159
Heh, just lost a long winded chunk of text.

>>
>>30500348
Sure on the magazines, I'd rather hold off on the !N interviews for a bit though.

>>
>>30500441

>>
>>30500495

>>
>>30500443
Well, the XWF has free commercials you can download off the OPNet. And while usually ppl doesnt downloads commercials, they do when they are from the XWF. The commercials are only available for a while before being taken down.

People will pay good money for an original digital copy of old XWF Commercials.

Maybe I should roll the magazine deals on open to save time, hold on im gonna start it
>>
>>30500441

We need to secure blanket liability release clauses for Ned and the band, just in case. Beyond that, and ensuring that the ONLY people allowed 'backstage' with cameras are our people, we can afford to be nice.
>>
>>30500545
GIANT [13d10] => [1,10,3,7,10,10,6,6,9,10,1,10,2] result of (7) success + [4d10] => [7,9,7,8] result of (4) success
GIANT [5d10] => [8,9,9,10,7] result of (5) success
[1d10] => [5] result of a failure

That's a truckload of successes on the deal with GIANT. You can probably dictate terms on the deal. They want a cover picture of the whole band, plus the interview and a holo of the interview for their website.
>>
>>30500545

Oh, and some kind of additional clause that stops MTV trying to badmouth our band if things do go tits up.

The official reason for all of this is to protect the image of the band, of course. And if MTV manage to survive the project, then no harm done covering our backs.
>>
>>30500594
(0) .: Complex [13d10] => [6,8,9,5,8,2,7,4,8,9,8,4,7] result of (8) success + [4d10] => [5,9,6,2] result of (1) success
Complex wants the band as well. If possible, they want a centerpiece 4 pages spreadable poster pic of all the band members. One in good taste, they are a serious magazine.

(0) .: Esquire [13d10] => [9,6,8,3,7,7,7,1,6,10,3,3,9] result of (7) success + [4d10] => [4,4,9,6] result of (1) success
(0) .: Esquire [1d10] => [3] result of a failure
Esquire wants to speak with Eldric about his views on politics and economy. They are by far one of the oldest men's magazines in America, and definitively one of the most respected ones.

(0) .: GQ [13d10] => [9,5,4,7,8,6,2,9,6,8,9,6,7] result of (7) success + [4d10] => [8,6,5,5] result of (1) success
Gentlemen's Quarterly wants Brass, Python and Okaba. Aura, Ami and all the band members to give them a series of interviews, until the end of year.
>>
>>30500653
Hmm, make sure the Complex spreadable poster of the band is a limited run. Make sure Eldric is preferentially shot wearing clothes from his own line for the Esquire interview. And make sure we have full transcripts of all the interviews and the appropriate rights to publish portions or full transcripts online in case the magazines take any liberties with our clients' words.
>>
>>30500594
Yeah, I'm still not sure what to do with all of those successes. Maybe put in a clause to make sure they don't have Mako doing anything she's too uncomfortable with and definitely giving us the final sign off on all photography. Beyond that, no idea.

Aritsu: "Yes sir. Will that be all? She stands before your desk as she memorizes everything."

Ned: "And get me another cup of coffee, please"

Aritsu: "Yes sir"

Her high heels go clip clop as the walks back to her desk, and you are left with time to watch the Shocwave fights.

As it turns out, Shockwave is all power and abstolutely no technique. He just starts spewing AoE attacks all over, with such quantity and power that he wins in a few moments.

He does mostly sonic explosions that tend to knock down fighters, and once that's done they hardly ever get a chance to get back up. He's specially good against flying opponents, as well.

He has no forcefields or the like, but instead pushes back opponents, forcing them to go through a sea of explosions to get close to him before he pushes them away again.
>>
>>30500781

Having a sudden thought while watching the Shockwave matches, you call Aritsu to her desk and mention it to her.

Aritsu: "Yes sir, of course" -she says. "Do you want me to schedule your mornings this week for the business negoatiations?"
>>
>>30500800
Wouldn't that be all energy attacks? If we send Brass against him, the battle will be laughibly one-sided.
>>
>>30500800

Would Brass be able to channel those explosions via Energy Absorb? Or do they count as Kinetic (pressure waves)
>>
>>30500929
>>30500932

Yes he can absorb them, but absorb costs Quantum Points and Brass doesn't has a particularly large Quantum Pool... let me check, actually. Hold on
>>
>>30500964

Brass has 29 Quantum Points. He can use 6 per turn. Absorb costs 3 per use, so he can only use it twice per turn. Plus what it absorb doesnt stacks. If he absorbs 6 strenght then 5, he keeps the 6, it doesnt go to 11.

Shockwave can throw 11 explosions for turn. He barely uses any Quantum for them. If it is just about who will run out first, Brass will lose.

Shockwave will push him ack with every blast and try to corner him. Even if he doesn't knocks him out with the first few blasts, he will try to pin him down with just the explosion's push effect... let me check...

Brass ALSO has shockwave. He could fight fire with fire. It costs him 1 Quantum Point to do a shockwave, but he can only use 6 QP per turn, while Shockwave can use 11.

He could also use the "Immovable Object" enhancement to make himself nearly impossible to knock down or push away. He gains a +2 to resisting those effects for a entire scene for each QP he pays. Could pay them at some point during the "show" bit of the fight and in the actual fight just charge ahead through Shockwave energy pushes and smack him down.

So, want to fight fire with fire or try to force it into close combat?

Could of course also just break a really big chunk of stage and throw it at shockwave so we dont have to get close at all
>>
>>30501041

We don't need to declare Absorb until we see how many damage successes get through, right?

>Use Immovable
>Charge to get in close, Absorbing some, soaking some, taking some damage as a tactical ploy
>Use freshly-buffed Strength to suplex Shockwave so hard he causes an earthquake from the impact
>>
>Could of course also just break a really big chunk of stage and throw it at shockwave so we dont have to get close at all

This one sounds the most fun, I'm imagining Brass lobbing a huge slab above, only to have Shockwave balst it, which in turn was just a diversion just to get him close-range or something.

"You might be able to shoot your fancy blasts at me, but I can toss boulders at you all day long!"
>>
>>30501142
Right
>>30501158
You know, with all the damage the Omega fighters do, when it's "for real", the fights really don't last more than 1-2 rounds, uh?

On that note, you can buy 1 Quantum point with 2 exp, and 2 hp with 3 exp. And you CAN burn hp to use instead of Quantum. I had been thinking it may be more convenient to just invest it all into hp for a bigger "Quantum Pool"

Anyway, activate immovable 2-3 times during the "fan service" section of the fight, then when its the actual fight, lob a building or something similar at shockwave to cover our running at him right behind the flying building, then just punch him underground?
>>
>>30501229

Which is why the eventual fight against Bomber will be a six second "squash match". Because fuck putting on a show against a guy who can give you cancer with a single blast

...Also, Ned will have made certain preparations beforehand to smooth the way, because that's what he does
>>
>>30501305
Well, do you support the fight plan in >>30501229 ?

Going to roll to see how good everyone does on their interviews and stuff, hold on.
>>
>>30501346

Sounds good to me. Can Shockwave do his explosions while Brass has him in a hold/clinch/whatever?
>>
>>30501346
Uh-oh...
>>
>>30501401
Good questions. The rules say he cant take any other physical actions except trying to get loose. I think the shockwaves wouldnt count as physical since they are a power, but the flavour text... uhmm

Let's roll a willpower test to see if he manages to focus enough through the pain to use them while on a hold or clinch. +2 difficulty sounds fine to me.

As for the GIANT band interview and 4-pages spreadable poster photo

Thats 62 collective successes... if that was engineering, that would be enough to make a Mars terraforming unit that would make Mars green on a couple of weeks.

Well, the band IS a Style juggernaut, really. I can't really imagine the poster... maybe something like a famous classical painting, re-enacted with ultra beautiful and stylish people? A pre-arranged "candid photo" with most of the band members covering Bella (and Aura?) for the picture?

62 successes on the MTV Music Video. Euphry got a botch on her Perform ability roll (but lots of successes on her mega dice for it) which somehow makes me laugh. I can imagine her breaking stuff and molesting, groping and otherwise being Euphry towards people within reach, but she's just so naturally charming that it's still okay in the end.

MtV NEARLY goes bankrupt, but the video was just SO successful that it's enough to give them their rep back. They send two executives to suck Ned's cock to try and get him to sign a contract for more videos, as many as possible, with the same deal.

!N News Anchor Reporter )Jenny): "And Flux's music video seems to have brought MTV back from the edge of oblivion. We have here Orlando Janson, known music critic, Andrea Jhaballa, editor in chief of Rolling Stone magazine, and mister Ned Salter, the manager of Flux. Thankyou very much, all of you, for making time in what doubtlessly must be a busy schedule to come talk with us."

Andrea: "Thankyou Jenny. The industry is being shaken by Flux's onslaught, indeed. It was a risky move of them to launch a disk without a clear theme, but the sheer talent that oozes out of every song was more than enough to sattusfy even the harshest of critics, I believe. The fans love them, the industry loves them, and I see nothing but a golden future ahead of them."

Orlando: "I have to disagree, Andrea. Not only did they say they had no need for a music video and then make one, they couldn't sound any faker. I don't care if you say "oh but they're novas, they're super talented!" until kingdom come, you can't get sound like that out of a human throat. I mean, for God's sake, they got miss Lyann Porteleger in the group, and she's infamous for her lab editing!"

!N Jenn: "Mister Salter, would you care to comment?"

If you don't belive me, I'll give you a front row ticket to their next live preformance, and you can see the truth for yourself."

Roll 13d10 for a social attack

Ah, right, Ralph Bach, found it
>>
Rolled 2, 2, 9, 7, 6, 6, 4, 1, 7, 5, 5, 8, 9 = 71

>>30501984
>>
>>30501902
On second thought (especially if Ralph backs VH1) I think we should talk it over with the band but any deal must be contingent on MTV drastically raising the bar for their programming, refocusing on music and culture and getting the fuck away from the no budget reality tv market.
>>
>>30502016

Orlando: "I... wouldn't go to such a brutal show. I mean, Everyone for decades has known that wrestling is fake, right?"

Both Jenn and Andrea stare at him with their mouths open.

N! Jenn: "You have never seen a XWF match!? seriously!?"

Orlando: "Well, you know... no."

You dominate the rest of the interview with ease. Lyann starts organizing the band to play for you "The wind beneath my wings" for you when you go to her place to train that evening.

(0) .: [8d10] => [8,7,10,4,3,1,3,7] result of (4) success
(0) .: [1d10] => [2] result of a failure

You beat his social defense by 3, and do 6 damage. He's technically unconscious, socially speaking.

Jesus I failed 6 captcha already
>>
>>30501984
Oh, I looked over the mega manipulation enhancements, and thought that mediator and subtle would be useful for us.
>>
>>30502106
First things first, assuming they're fans both Jenn and Andrea are getting boxseat invites for Brass' next match. Not press passes mind you, though if they want to talk to people off the record or arrange things outside the event, that's fine, but they're getting the night off. Orlando we're challenging to back his words up and actually got to a match. We'll buy his ticket, but he's watching from the front of the crowd, not the box. So he can have the best view to see whether of not the fight's above the board or not.

Also, what would it take to buy MTV outright at this point?
>>
>Go AFK
>Come back to see GREAT SUCCESS, expected
>Ned delivers a burn more powerful than Ami's Immolate, not expected

I love this quest
>>
>>30502137
Are they in the core book? I dont remember them

>>30502205
Sounds good if you are willing to go from resources 6 to 4 for a while. Buying time is now while they are still hurting from the video and before the profits of it start coming in.

That evening when you go to train Qi Meng at her place, Lyann receives you in person. No clones this evening, sits you on her comfiest chair (it is a truly truly comfy chair), gives you a peck on the chair and sings you "The Wind Beneath My Wings" as she plays the guitar for you.

Lyann: "...thank you Ned"
>>
>>30502318
Ugh, I had a much bigger post ready but it got erased when the banner at the bottom switched, somehow.
>>
>>30502318
>Are they in the core book? I dont remember them
Forceful personalities, page 85
>>
>>30502318

"No, thank you, Lyann. You were willing to trust me on the Flux project, and you've been, excuse the pun, instrumental in making it happen. That guy's comments were uncalled for, and I wasn't about to let him get away with it; I make it a point of pride to look after my team"
>>
Haha, oh wow. I was actually referring to a live ticket to a Flux performance, but that dumbass accidently outed himself.

I can imagine Ned being slightly confused on the inside, but striking ruthlessly at an opening he accidently created.
>>
>>30502341
Ah, thanks. Ill look into it tonight. Also, I still haven't picked Lyann's enhancements. I'm thinking in focusing her around arts & sciences, completely.

I found a enhancement called Magnum Opus ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnum_opus ) which gives her +3 extra automated successes on any art or perform ability rolls. It doesn't matters if she is writing a song, painting, sculting, writing a book, singing, acting... they are all "Immortal master works" at the very least. Having +3 successes should help her fight the -7 from her taint
>>
>>30502420
Oh god, that could be so unintentionally hilarious. Crumpling up a paper ball and tossing it in a bin? A WORK OF BEAUTY, NEVER TO BE REPEATED!
>>
Well, stop here and start tomorrow with the fight right off the bat? or is there... ah right, I was going to say in the post that got erased

If you want to buy MTV now would be the time. You'll go down from resources 6 to 4, tho, at least temporarily. Now is when, while they are still hurting from the video budget, before the profits start rolling in.

It would be a lot of work, but besides redirecting them towards motherfucking music videos and away from shitty reality shows (tho I imagine the ones already going will at least get to end their season, they won't get renewed), most of the executives would be left where they are, and we could deal with only the biggest decisions (filtered by Aritsu, I imagine?)

Hell, we could place a couple of Lyann clones in charge, if we wanted to. She recently mentioned that she upgraded her clone power to 200 clones instead of 50, tho it may create problems with her new human workers due to her taint. On the other side, taint only affects the initial impression, so it would wear off over time. I dont know, up to you guys
>>
>>30502456
From the way her wrist flexed to the dry THUMP! when it hit against the bottom of the bin, passing by the way it bounced 12 times on the edges of the bin before falling down, it was mathematically and aesthetically perfect. It also cured narcolepsia on anyone affected by it, and present at the time of the throw.

MAGNUM OPUS
Novas that are creatively inclined often use their powers to reach new horizons of artistic expression.1 A nova with Magnum Opus can make each work of art he creates into a masterpiece.
System: Whenever the nova is attempting to perform a work of art, he rolls his Charisma.1 Each success grants him one automatic success on his Arts or Perform rolls.1 The nova puts his heart and soul into the work, and Magnum Opus can affect a dance or singing solo as well as a painting or sculpture.
>>
>>30502318
Wow, haven't listened to Sonata Arctica in a long time. I should change that.

>>30502515
I'm thinking we should do it. My original plan was to pitch setting up an online channel for both our XWF and Flux entertainment and educational properties and then charge a subscription fee for access and do advertising through strategic product placement (anything in any show is clickable, that would bring up information on people and bother information and purchasing recomendations on products and clothing). But buying a full network with all that infrastructure in place? Too tempting to pass up. Especially when we have some of the best content generators in existence under contract.
>>
>>30502536
Oh god, this description sounds like some wierd shit out of Dwarf Fortress.

>>30502515
We might as well do *something* with all that money we have, might as well use our funds to start ourselves down the path of a (much less douche-y) Rupert Murdoch.
>>
>>30502576
Dammit forgot name. Again...
>>
>>30502588

Anyone remembers the name of that Nova group of super scientists dedicated to space exploration (and colonization, but hardly anyone knows about that bit)? I get the feeling that:

1) A group of super smart (but budget-inept) geniuses could get some serious shit done with Ned helping them.

2) That group sounds like Lyann would be on it.
>>
>>30502661
Oh that would be cool. But I think Lyann would probably have to bet the hell out of Ned before letting him in on it, and she'd get the group to get its shit in order because where Ned goes, camera's follow! And sound teams. And hordes of marketing dollars...
>>
>>30502576

XWF is still XWF though; We don't own it, and we're not rich enough to buy out Ric.... Yet. So that has to stay off NedTV

Although we were talking about a seat on the board at the end of last season..
>>
>>30502705
True, remember when Mana was supposed to be an issue with her unrealistic expectations?
>>
>>30502759
Im pretty sure that when we take down Bomber Lord, many of the current executives are going to get seizures and need replacing.

DAEDALUS LEAGUE

Sorry I took so long to post anything, I had to read the players guide again to find the name of the Nova-team of scientists exploring space for fun. Was hard as fuck since ww cant write a index that is worthy of the name.

With teleporters and people with super strenght and endurance that can wander around on space without needing "proper protection" or even a proper ship, I was wondering just how lucraftive a business it would be to start a mine on, say, Mars.

Anyway, tomorrow we start with the Brass fight. And after that if we have time, buy MTV?
>>
>>30502931
sure
>>
>>30502931
Sounds like a plan. Remind the !N team that we can't get them press passes for this event, but we'll happily extend our invitation if only so Orlando can see just how fake the fighting isn't.
>>
>>30503040
I thought it was implied we did that already
>>
>>30503129
Just double checking.
>>
>>30503283
I am more and more inclined to give Immolate (punches) to Python and implying he just punches when he's punching and punches when he gets puncned, you know?
>>
>>30503396
I like the forced polymorph punch idea.
>>
>>30503396
...I find the idea of Python drawing punches from the punch dimension to punch his foes to be pretty entertaining. And totally in keeping for a superfast boxer. Not going to overrule Bookie's polymorph punch idea (which I'd forgotten about), but I like it and think we should invest in Immolate (punches for the Punch God!) at some point soon.
>>
>>30503573
...today is not my day for remembering the name, is it?
>>
>>30503573
I forgot the polimorph idea too. Remind me please?
>>
>>30503627
Ask Book, I got nothing.
>>
>>30503627
Punch someone into a duck
>>
>>30504580
That seems extraordinarily anticlimactic in a fight though...Could the duck be weaponized in proportion to the original fighter's strength or the statis effect be time limited in someway to keep the fight, well, fair? Remember we're trying to brand Brass and Python as Old School Team Clean (a Face duo). Polymorph to something harmless for the apparent purpose of ridicule doesn't really fit well with that theme.
>>
>>30505352
I forget how the actual mechanics work. The polymorph ability with the effect others and touch only modifiers.
>>
>>30505528
Yeah, I just don't see fans popping when Python duck punches someone the way they would if he got a hard fought traditional K.O.
>>
>>30505867
I'd find it hilarious if Python punched someone so hard he turned into a duck. Very Sidereel.
>>
>>30502137
That was the point. Funny thing is, it is actually doable. We would need let me think... shapeshift... ok... the quantum mastery extra to get range on it other than self... some levels of weaknesses so it cant turn people into anything else... yeah, its doable.
>>
>>30505928
While that's true, everyone hates the sidereal. Well, everyone that remembers they exist anyway.
>>
>>30505928
Wait...I thought Python was out Lunar, probably bro-bonded with Brass, our Solar, and the rest of the crew were Dragonbloods? Now Ned might be our sidereal, but I prefer him as a gamebreakingly powerful heroic mortal.

I have no idea what Lyann is in this. Probably a Twilight but damned if I know for sure.
>>
>>30506470
Nah, Ned is the extingent of the God of Business and Advertising
>>
>>30506505
I think Ned could out negotiate any God of Business and likely hold his own against the entire Divine Bureaucracy.
>>
>>30506470
Twilights are the crazy artifact makers, right? I wonder if she wouldnt be closer to an alchemical in some ways.

But yeah, the duck punch, while funny "to have" wouldnt be as funny to use in a match, and would retiire a fighter unless it was temporal so we cant really go with it.
>>
>>30506605
I thought you guys would be gone. I guess Ill take advantage of you hanging around and get some feedbad on Ned. Someone said something about enhancements in dangerous personalities, right?
>>
>>30506681
me. Mediator and Subtle. Mediator is pay 3 quantum for 3 automatic successes on diplomacy checks. Subtle is pay one quantum and for the rest of the scene all of your mega social attributes and enhancements will look within the bounds of human possibility to any observer while retaining their full effect.
>>
>>30506789
one quantum for mediator rather.
>>
>>30506605
In some ways I suppose Lyann would, but the mechanics would be all wrong.

Also, I've decided Aritsu and Mai are both sidereals.

>>30506681
I'm pretty happy with Ned at present, not sure what the personality enhancements were about though?
>>
>>30506819
appearance is visual effects and minor shapeshifting. Also about 1st impressions

manipulation is mostly mind control, tho it seems to also be defense against mind control

charisma is about creativity and artistic talent, or at least i feel so.

Oh, I made a evil(?) version of Mako to use as an opponent in another game. She's a beast (sort of? she's still cute, just really strong). Wanna take a look at her sheet?

Meanwhile I'll look at those enhancements for Ned

Ned's the blue haired chick, but with business instead of politics.
>>
>>30507035
is that comic stull updating? i remember getting bored waiting for it to update, like with the outsider conic
>>
>>30507107
Nope. Seems dead I'm afraid.
>>
>>30507107
Indefinite hiatus still I'm afraid. Jukashi (the author) pops into tgchan every once in awhile for LunarQuest or one of his other games. But Keychain doesn't look likely to start up again anytime soon. Still one hopes otherwise.
>>
>>30507107
Hmm, any chance of you continuing with the story of Aritsu's Girlsnight? That was comedy gold and still feels unfinished.
>>
>>30507230
Ah, that reminds me i have the continue the "Catgirls have rights too!" quest on /a/ sometime, but with running the XWF and my two games on weekends i dont have the time to be creative enough to a 4th game

>>30507397
Well, sur-- ah wait i have to read those enhancements and update Ned's sheet first. May take 15 minutes first
>>
>>30507521
>May take 15 minutes
Oh I didn't necessarily mean now (though I'm down for that), I'm not sure if anyone besides Book and me are around at the moment. Just thought it was fun and was hoping you might return to the interlude between fights and negotiations.
>>
>>30507616
Oh, I guess that would be fine.

It was the personalities book, right?
>>
>>30507681
page 85
>>
>>30507681
According to Book (>>30502341), yes.
>>
>>30507715
Yeah im reading them in forceful personalities right now. Subtle also seem to give +3 to any attempts to convince people or stuff or maipulate them, so basically +3 to many social fu attacks since it uses manipulation as dexterity (attack/defense)
>>
>>30507872
Sounds good to me.
>>
>>30507872
Okay, added mediator and Subtle. Mediator seems like Magnum Opum but for diplomacy instead of art
>>
>>30508042
I think its a pretty standard enhancement really. You could probably do something similar with every skill.
