>1d100 for hair color
You, Pearl, and Riley arrive at a club in the classier part of town. So as not to raise suspicion, you took up a vantage point on a nearby building to wait for the club to open. It's not past ten o'clock, and things are in full swing. All number of people have made there way in, most dressed in fine clothes and arriving with whole entourages of both muscle and eye candy. With things settling down, you and Riley agree that now is the time to move. You wake Pearl, napping with her bag as a pillow.

You command Pearl to remain on the roof and only come down if things look to be getting dangerous. She nods and lays back down. You and Riley shimmy down the fire escape and hit the street. Together you do as you were informed, and knock on the front door. A small metal window slides open, revealing a pair of eyes. Riley speaks for you.

"Sorry, I got the wrong address." The eyes look the both of you over, and the window slides shut. The moment of truth is now. The two of your enter the alley beside the building and head around the back. There is an identical door, which you knock at. The small window on this door slides open, then shuts. There is a sound of clinking metal, and the door swings open. You can hear music from inside as you enter, passing a tall man with a shaved head. He looks quite mean, and seems to glare daggers as you enter the back of the building.

You find yourself in a sort of waiting room. There is a round desk with a scrawny young man, flipping through some files. He sees you and smiles.

"Evening gentlemen. How can I help you?"

The scrawny man smiles and sets the files aside, before standing and stepping out from behind the desk.

"Right this way, gentlemen. Watch your step." He leads you to a door, locked with four separate mechanisms, and into a stairwell. The stairs here go both up and down, but you are lead down, into the basement of the building. You seem to be spending a lot of time in basements lately.

You come to a large, underground storehouse. There are large crates made of sheet metal. They are big enough to house whole families of animals in, and you think you know what they're for. In total, there are 16 of them, and th scrawny man begins leading you past them. He begins talking, but you don't listen, focusing on the contents of the crates. Through tiny holes cut into the doors, you can see women and men, most young but some older, sitting huddled together. They were little but wool robes, and quite a few look entirely dejected.

"Sir?" The scrawny man gets your attention. "I said is there anything in particular you're looking for?"

You agree, and the man leads you over to another, small room. As you enter, you notice that it resembles the type of room that police use to line up criminals. You are seated on a small sofa with Riley, and the scrawny man asks you to wait just a moment. A few minutes go by, and then a line of women, one of which is trying her best not to cry, are brought in and lined up against the far wall. As per your suggestion, they all have auburn hair. However, none of them even resemble Donna. You look to Riley, and he nods. You ask if there isn't any more selection.

"I'm sorry sir, but that's all we have with your preferred hair color. Perhaps if you were willing to be less specific we could find one that suits your taste?"

You lean in to Riley, and whisper as softly as you can. Riley has already spotted three guards hidden around the storage room, so any gunfire will sound the alarm. However, it may be the quickest way to find Donna, assuming she's here.

You ask the man for information on previous buyers. "What? Fuck you! If I spilled that kind of information I'd get strung up by my jewels!" You draw a little blood with your blade. "Ah! shit! Wait! As you exit the room, you look back at the line of women. They are all dead silent, on the ground and pressed up against the back wall. You release the scrawny man and boot him away as Riley begins firing randomly in the direction of incoming fire. The two of you pick up the pace now, and rush across the storage room to the opposite end. You come to a wall, and a door within it. The two of you enter, and come face to face with two more guards. They fire upon you with pistols and jet shells. Riley hits the ground, but you think of another plan. you extend the metal arm forward, and take the torrents of rapid wind onto it. You can feel the air tugging your arm in different directions, but it holds strong, giving you time to return fire and eliminate the threats. Riley regains his feet and laughs, complimenting you on your insanity. You reload your rifle and start heading down the hall.

You come to a large metal door, just as was described to you. It is locked tight from the outside. You peer on the round glass window, and see that on the other side is a person, huddled on the ground for warmth, completely naked. Judging by the temperature of the door, it must be near freezing inside.

You wait and watch as some of them begin approaching. With one hand, you swing the lever of your rifle down, loading a new shell, and as you bring it back up, you aim and fire. The shot catches one of the guards right in the center of gravity, cooking him as he falls to the ground. The one following him tries to duck behind nearby cover, but isn't fast enough, and you land a shot on his upper leg. He screams in agony as his comrades try to fire and suppress you. You are forced to hunker and let Riley take a turn at firing. He lets off four shots before you hear a shout, and turn to see him kneeling behind his cover. You aim and fire at the farther guard. The shot goes just slightly awry, and tags him on the shoulder. He ducks back down, but as you look to the closer guard, you find him reloading. This is your chance to move. You stow the rifle as you run, and slam your metal arm into the side of his head. As he staggers, you palm his face and drive it backward into the concrete wall, then wrap your right arm around his neck. Holding him tight, you snap your wrist, drawing out the blade in your forearm, and plunge it into his gut, just beneath his ribcage. You turn and shove him at his injured comrade, who fires a shell into him as he falls. You rush forward, and slam your blade, all the way up to the knuckle, into the chest of the last guard. As you pull it out and wipe the blood onto your sleeve, you hear Riley laughing hysterically.

The two of you head back to the locked door. The person inside hasn't moved. It'll be tough to open, but it would go faster with two people.

Steam begins to rise from the spot, and fill the room. Your attempt is successful, and you burn right through the thick door. With a little elbow grease, you get it open and enter. There is an invisible wall there, where the warmth turns into sheer cold. You stow the rifle and approach the figure on the floor. As you lift them into your arms, you find that it is indeed Donna. She is naked as her birthday, and her face seems to be beaten, as well as some bruising and cuts on her body. You can feel a pulse, and her stomach is rising as she breathes, but she's not conscious. Suddenly there is a white light, and the man screams, spraying spittle on your face. You take this opportunity to gouge out his eyes with your fingers and throw him off of you. You finish him with a powerful stab, and look up. Pearl stands in the doorway, recklessly firing her rifle into the rafters above. Riley is on the ground, writhing in pain near Donna. The gunfire from your enemies seems to have subsided, likely due to confusion by Pearl's odd weapon. Now is the time to run. You tell the others to stay silent, and not to act unless there's no other choice. If you're going to do this, you're going to need luck and speed. You slowly and carefully lift the lid of the dumpster, just enough so that your left arm can reach out. You rap on the side of the dumpster, then draw your arm back in quick as a flash. You hear mumbling, and then two sets of footsteps. You couldn't have asked for a better outcome. The steps draw near, and stop just short of the can. Your guess is that only one of them will be in arm's reach. It'll have to do. You ready the blade of your left arm, and draw your rifle in your right.

The lid of the dumpster lifts, and you spring like a viper, jamming the blade into the near man's throat, and firing a shell at the far. They both crumble as a loud bang echoes through the night. Likely, someone will be here within a few minutes, so you must go fast. Pearl and Riley leap out of the dumpster, and then help you to remove Donna. As your feet hit the pavement, you can already hear people shouting and running in the distance.

You side with Riley, and decide to squat for the time being, at least until Donna recovers. You allow him and Pearl to take point, keeping an eye out for you as you carry Donna up the street. Luckily, it's late enough that nobody with half of their wits is around to see you.

Riley picks out a small apartment building, and with Pearl he ascends the fire escape. You watch as he pries the window open, and slithers in like a serpent. Pearl follows, and you are forced to wait outside until they come for you. Ten minutes later, the front door opens and Pearl waves, smiling brightly at you. You enter the door and follow her up the stairs to a rather nice apartment. It's not solid gold, but it's clean and warm and feels cozy. Riley is already spread out on the sofa with a pistol in hand.

"You should really get her warmed up. I'll keep watch here."

Jesus christ guys, I'm sorry that took so long. I had to wash her up and clean and wrap the cut up. Plus it was full of hot sauce so it hurt extra bad, I'm sure. Then I gave her a bath and put her in her pajamas and now I'm holding her until she falls asleep. Typing with one hand. I feel like such a moron, leaving the bottle on the table where she could reach it. Apparently she wanted to put it in her dinner. God, I'm an ass.

Again, I'm sorry I took so long. I hope you aren't too cross.

You lug Donna into the bathroom, after getting directions from Pearl. You place her gently in the tub, facing away from the faucet. Her cuts seem to be dry, so hopefully they don't bleed into the water. You let the tap run until warm water starts flowing, and then insert the stopper. As the tub fills with water, you lean back against the while tiled wall and take a long breath. The fatigue of the night only now weighs down on you in full. You back, arm, and legs all ache. You half wish you were the one being dipped in warm water. A few minutes later, you stop the faucet and let the water sit. A thin layer of dirt has already begun to wash off of Donna. Her breathing is steady, and she seems to be fine. Even the color of her skin is returning now.

You try to muster the strength to get to the toilet, but your legs protest, and you decide to settle for the floor. You spread your legs out and close your eyes, just for a short rest.

Some time later, you hear movement. You look up and see that the bath curtain has been drawn. You get to one knee and try to stand.

You tell Donna to wait a moment, and you get up to find something warm for her to put on. You head to the living room and call to Pearl, busy raiding the icebox as Riley dozes on the couch. You ask her to help, and she perks up.

"Oh! I'll check the big bedroom!" She rushes past you and down the hall.

You stumble down the hall into the second bedroom. Inside you flip the light switch and look around. There is a single bed against a wall, and a nightstand. Across from that is a writing desk and a closet. You walk over and slide the door open to reveal a number of clothes hanging on a wooden rod. The clothes appear rather small, for the most part, but there are some blankets folded up on the floor. You look through them, and find a plush bath robe.

You gather up the robe and head to the bathroom. As you enter the hall, you call to Pearl. She claims to have found nothing, and you tell her not to worry, as you've got the robe. She slinks out of the bedroom door and approaches you in the hall, following behind you as you enter the bathroom. You drape the robe over the metal curtain rod, and tell Donna to take her time getting out. There is a swishing of water, and the robe disappears.

"Oh, wow. Uh, this isn't what I was expecting but I suppose it's a bit too late for shame now." Donna slides back the curtain. It's only now you realize that the robe you found is not only two feet too short for her legs, it's quite tight in the bust. She wrings out her hair, trying not to look either of you in the eye.

"No, no. It's fine. I've worn worse. I'm just glad to be warm. You wouldn't happen to have a hot water bottle would you?" You shake your head. "That's alright, I didn't expect you to. I really want to talk about everything that's happened, but would you mind if I got some sleep? I'm half dead."

"Don't worry about it. I'm glad to be out. And it's not like they did much but give me a shiner and throw me in that cooler."

You lead Donna out of the bathroom and down the hall. Pearl suggests letting her lie down in the guest bedroom, since she made a mess out of the big one while searching. Donna doesn't protest and steps right in. She throws herself down on the bed and arches her back.

"Gods above, this feels better than anything I've ever felt. I could just lie her forever." Pearl smiles and strides over to the bedside.

You tell Pearl that Donna needs to rest, and motion for her to follow you out of the room. Pearl seems upset, but does as she is told, grumbling the whole time. You flip the light switch and wish Donna goodnight before shutting the door.

You go back to the living room. Riley is snoring lightly on the fainting couch, one pistol hanging loosely from his index finger. You yourself are feeling a bit tired, but it's probably a good idea to have someone keep watch.

She stand up and groans.

"But I'm tired. We've been running around all day! Why can't I sleep with Donna? I slept with you all the time!"

"What? But we did. That time Riley threw a tantrum and left us alone, remember? We cuddled and you let me drool on you. Riley says that's how you know you care about someone, you let them get body fluids on you." You hush Pearl with a hand motion and tell her to get some sleep. She stomps over to the sofa and throws herself down. She's asleep in a few minutes, and back to her old ways of writhing about. You stay up for another two hours, until Riley falls off the side of the fainting couch and wakes himself. You take this moment as a good time to change shifts, helping him up and taking his spot.

The next morning you wake to quiet mumbling, and an odd weight on your chest. You open your eyes and see Pearl sitting on you, with a full bowl of something. She chews and listens to Riley and Donna as they speak at the dining room table.

"We were talking about what we're gonna do today." Riley speaks through a mouthful of breakfast, likely just oatmeal. "I'm gonna catch the first ship back home, Donna says she needs clothes first. Pearl says she's going wherever Donna does."

"Look look! Donna braided my hair! She knows how to do braids!" Pearl whips her long, heavy braid at your face, tickling your nose with the end. "We're gonna go get more coffee today."

Donna, still clad in only the short and revealing robe speaks up. "I never said that." She chews and swallows a spoonful of oatmeal. "I just want to take it easy before I go back to work. You go over the details of the island fish, the underwater cavern, the clothesline, and the metal arm. Pearl is kind enough to squeeze in the details you glimpsed over.

"He grabbed me in the water and dragged me onto the shore...We took a bath and he made me wash him...He said I had to wear the shirt so Riley wouldn't see my butt, but he could see it, just not Riley...He grabbed my butt and lifted me up...I had to lay on top of him to keep him warm...We cuddled on the beach together because Riley was gone...He helped me put on some underwear..."

After the retelling, Riley and Donna are red as strawberries. Riley gets up to put his bowl away, chuckling the whole time.

"Honestly after all that, my story doesn't seem very interesting. After the boat went down, some guys in a fishing boat, or so they claimed, scooped me out of the drink and brought me to shore. They knocked me out with some weird wine and I guess sold me to the guys who had me when you got there. They didn't get very far though. A couple of guys eyeballed me in those crates, but I spat in their eyes. One guy actually liked it, and tried to buy me. I wasn't with him two days before he brought me back and asked for a refund." Donna smiles and gnashes her teeth together, in a painful grinding and chomping motion. "After that they roughed me up and stripped me down and left me in the cooler for a couple of days. Well, more like six days over the course of two weeks. Then you guys came."

After a morning of shopping for clothes, most of which Donna purchases to force Pearl to wear, you leave the ladies at a cafe to see Riley to the station. You are sure to cover your arm well, and even throw on a pair of gloves to be sure. As you say your goodbyes to Riley, watching the lift descend to the platform, he turns to speak.

"Look man, I'm sorry about all the bullshit that happened on this trip. Worst part for me is we didn't even get the cargo delivered. Still, I'll make sure the boss pays you fair when you get back. It's the least I could do for you. Oh, before I forget, take these." He hands you three blue shells. "They are some whacky new shells like I've never seen. I snatched them off that fat asshole who pinned me down last night. Anyway, I'm out. See you when I see you."

Riley hoists his bag over his shoulder and steps onto the lift. You wave as he rises up and out of sight. You wait around until the bells signal takeoff, and watch as the ship pulls away from the dock.
