The last thing you remember is finding out you've just been roped into a counter-intelligence op. The first thing you remember is standing at the military train station wondering how you got into this mess.

Your name is Alice, a prototype infiltration/assassination android that is now wondering how a relatively simple sabotage mission snowballed into having identify and break up a Jade Chinese spy-ring inside the Kazahk military.

You sigh and check your systems.

Health: 190/190
Armour: 30
Weapons:
-Beretta 97
-Gas Blades

You open up the memory file of the information you received on the spy ring's probable locations.

'The members of the ring operate in three different areas of the base: administration, the air defence systems, and the motorpool.'

'We know that they are all highly placed officers, surgically altered and highly trained. We don't know how they're communicating with their handlers, so your mission will be to get their attention.'

You sigh, your life really is getting way too complicated as you enter the base proper and head through the ID screening.

As you approach, you feel someone slip something into your pocket. Your systems scan the area and you spot one of the officers walking back to the train.

You quickly hurry into the base after that, intending on finding somewhere private to read the note you now have in your pocket.

As you pass by soldiers who salute you and officers that you salute in turn, before entering 'your' office in the base.

You flop into the comfy office chair and begin to figure out your plan of attack.

And how the hell you'll complete your actual mission on doing so.

You hate your design and function sometimes.
>>
1d100 for general voting, best roll out of five is chosen.

Combat is 1d100 with modifiers for how many shots you fire in combat. Best out of three roll is chosen.

Burst Fire and Full-Auto Fire attacks can be done multiple times in one action, but each attack after the first incurs a cumulative -10 penalty.

Body armour subtracts from total damage done per attack.

You can target multiple enemies in a single action. Roll 1d100+modifier for each target. Specify for each roll the target and the attack used.

Takedowns and Executions are 1d100-20 and a short paragraph describing the Takedown or Execution. Best out of three rolls is chosen, but I will pick which action description looks the best to me.

Reactor Charges are your healing mechanic. Expend a Reactor charge and roll 12d6. Reactor Charges stack, and are regained through Takedowns and Executions.

Stability is a measure of your Yandere psychological state. If you lose a certain amount, known as the Snap Limit, you Snap and enter a state of emotional hysteria and brief psychosis. Lose all your Stability, and you go Berserk, and will perform a violent action, often against your love interest.

Relationship is how strong your relationship with Ian Carter is. You have to keep your relationship as high as possible. If you drive the relationship down into negative numbers, Ian will reject you, and you will proceed to murder him and commit suicide.

Good luck.
>>
You consider how you're going to do your job.

You need access to the missile defence systems in order to neutralise the long-range missile systems that will shoot down the Vampires if they take off without authorisation.

You still don't know how you're going to deal with the second Vampire, but for now you should focus on the job ahead.

You need to deal with the missiles, and for that you would have to find a way to get Elise into the system to install the backdoor.

Well, there are three ways you can do that.

>Physically connect with the system and use yourself as a terminal.
>Use the PDA to do it yourself.
>Find an unsecure terminal and use Elise's instructions to hack it.

But how are you going to handle the spies?
>Fuck 'em, just get the job done.
>Deal with them as targets of opportunity.
>Give it the same focus as your real mission.
>>
>>30980085

>>
>>30980085

>>
>>30980142
Yes, you do.
>>
>>30980211
Might as well use that and get the main objective over with.
>Find an unsecure terminal and use Elise's instructions to hack it.

After that we should see if we can root out some of those spies. Jade China fucked with us so now it's time for some payback.
>Give it the same focus as your real mission.
>>
>>30980085
>Find an unsecure terminal and use Elise's instructions to hack it.
>Deal with them as targets of opportunity.
as for taking care of the 2nd vampire... maybe we should just sabotage it... like, messing with its fuel or something
>>
>>30980085
>Find an unsecure terminal and use Elise's Instructions to hack it.
>Deal with them as targets of opportunity.

also, I might a plan on how to deal with the second Vampire. we just remove a part that is small but essential for it to start, like an ignition coil or the equivalent of it
>>
>>30980317
That still leaves it intact. They could fix that in a few minutes of troubleshooting and then take off to chase down the stolen chopper. We need to blow it up.
>>
>Find an unsecure terminal and use Elise's Instructions to hack it.
>Deal with them as targets of opportunity.

You can deal with the spies when they appear, besides you have more important work to do as you boot up the terminal and plug in the PDA to crack the login screen.

With a beep it gives you the password and login and you login into the computer and prepare to contact Elise.

Are you there?

Always, Sister, though I am a little busy.

You can imagine what's keeping her busy and she giggles.

Oh yes, she's insatiable once she gets started. And I enjoy sating her.

You cough, "I'm logged into a Major Zoya Kirilinko's terminal and I need your help giving you access."

Of course sister, now please follow my instructions exactly.

She begins downloading instructions into your head.

Hmm, very nice. Probably a few honeypots around, but I know have enough of their protocols that I can snoop around as I wish. Just plug the PDA into the target system and use the 'Signal Flare' program to get my attention.

You nod and unplug the PDA while Elise scrounges around inside the systems, "There's a Jade Chinese spy ring in this base, find them for me please while I get to the missile defence systems."

Already found one, three doors down, ID acquired.

"Good, mark him for pickup then, let the Kazakhs deal with this." You reply and leave your office to head to the missile defence systems.

You draw close, noise dampeners engaged and watch the target pack the bags into one of the Gaz's before walking away.

You walk over and open the back of the GAZ to open it up to find it loaded with important documents, and what look like drone control cores.

Sister, someone wants to speak with you.

You nod as you look through the documents, finding that they're mostly Vampire testing data.

Is this thing on? Hello?

You twitch at the familiar voice, "Hello Victoria."

There's a brief pause, Uh, hey there. Listen, I want to apologise...about before. I'm sorry, I was...I was just pissed off at suddenly being forced to come here and take part in some stupid theft that has nothing to do with my mission.

"And that mission is?" You ask curiously.

I need to take out this group of Jade Chinese Spies, they're trying to steal some advanced aircraft, get a leg up over the Republicans and Communists.

You send over the data you've been reading and there's a pause before Victoria speaks again, Shit, they're here? Sis, have you identified them?

You shake your head, "Ask Elise, she's in the systems. I'm just going to disable the missiles and then deal with that second Vampire."

Sis, I got a deal for you.

"What is it?" You reply, as you decide to pull out read the note.

Don't destroy the second aircraft. Plant a drone control core in the cockpit and get it into the open. I can take control and operate it remotely. I have the resources and facilities to maintain, arm and repair a chopper like that.

"What about the others?" You ask.

Fuck the others! This is about family, Sis! Family sticks together!

You remember Mom, and silently agree before replying, "Family does stick together."

We trusted some random street urchin who turned out to be a spy. This is one of our sisters, it's completely different.
>>
I want to know who gave pilot-sis the mission to stop the Jade spies. The american mission from the flashdrive (https://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/30614669/#30623912) was related to stealing the Nyx prototype, not the improved vampire. Since she was living in China I assume she must be working for one of the other Chinese factions.

>>30982708
She's working for someone, that's for sure.
>>
>>30982708
the only mistake here is that Rat didn't know us, and the great lengths we will go to burn her back. Victoria is family, and we already told her the exact lengths we will go to if she burns us. And she knows we mean it.

We need to figure out everyone's motivations, and their plans for the helicopter

Red Queen: Steal the Vampire, sell it to the highest bidder
Rebecca: Protect Ian, kill the Red Queen for using him. Only wants the Helicopter to kill the Red Queen
Cassandra + Rat: Steal the Helicopter for Jade China
Hacker-sis: Help out her sisters. Has no plans for the helicopter?
Pilot-sis: Foil Jade China helicopter theft. Help out her sister? Wants the helicopter for ?her own uses?
Moord Nag: Kill the Red Queen?
>>
>>30982747
given the ethnicity of her lover (Korean) I would assume she works for the faction that is has control of Korea, and according to the map he provided in Part 18 (http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/30855622/), that means she is probably working for New Imperial Japan.

of course, that's just a guess

What is the current plan for piloting anyway? AFAIK Cassandra is entering the facility with the teen group, but then escapes and goes to the helicopter. But now we have pilot-sis as well. Will she infiltrate the facility with our group and then fly the chopper? I don't think we want to let Cassandra get in a cockpit, she'd probably strafe us all and fly off to Jade China.
>>
>Roll: 83 + 30

"That was too suspicious Elise," you remark as you bypass some kind of training group, "She backed down far too easily for someone so confrontational."

Victoria was the youngest and never really took well to being the figurative runt of our little litter. Mom doted on you because you spoke first, so she got aggressive. It's strange, Erica is designed to get into the thickest fighting and come out intact, but she's calmer than any of us.

You pass through a street in the base and approach the missile control facility. Showing your ID to the guard, you pass inside as Elise contacts you.

Okay, in order for me to have access, you need to get to the central radar server. Connect the PDA and run the Signal Flare program.

You nod and begin your search for the radar server, heading deep into the facility as you pass by offices and people moving about working on keeping the city safe from harm.

You pass by the maintenance room and find the door ajar, looking inside you blink as you find a sleeping gas bomb rigged to the intake system.

Ooh, a present for me? You shouldn't have Sister. All explosives connected and ready for detonation. This will put a delay in their plans.

You nod and leave before finally locating the radar server in the deepest part of the facility.

You press your fingers against the reader and the door pops open with a sharp tone, allowing you to enter the server room.

Finally, you can get this job done and over with. Honestly, what a drain this has been on your sanity.

You plug in the PDA and send off the Signal Flare to get Elise in the server.

>Torture Them
>Roll: 71 + 30

You clamp their mouth shut with a steel-hard grip and as they struggle, you deftly lever the woman's arms out of their sockets with two soft pops.

She groans from the pain, but doesn't react. That needs to be rectified as your Kinesics still indicate defiance. You begin moving her arms, noting through kinesics and your own sensors the impact that the agony is having on her.

You twist her arms and she finally starts to scream. You release her arms and then release her mouth from your grip, "No-one is going to hear us."

She takes in a shuddering breath and spits something in Chinese which you reply to perfectly, "Should I make you scream again, whore?"

She shakes her head and you smile, "Who are you?"

"I-I am a third rank of her Imperial Majesty's Celestia Court of the Pheasant."

You smile, "What do you know about the Rat?"

She shakes her head, and you purr in her ear, "Don't test me bitch, I have had a very long, and annoying day. Who is The Rat?"

She shudders, "She is our best agent, responsible for coordinating our operations."

You snarl and with a single motion grab her chin and spin the woman around, "Are you fucking kidding me? You're telling me a fucking kid is running this?"

She nods, clearly frightened, "Yes, she was chosen by the Empress, she is the best."

You snarl, "Well, she'll die soon enough." You tug and her head spins a full one-eighty degrees before her corpse falls to the ground, "Elise."

Done. I have control of the air defence systems for the region. Anything you want shot down, simply tell me.

Good.

You turn and walk out of the server room, before going to an emergency phone and waiting for the operator to pick up, "Hello?"

"This is Major Kilirinko, we have a situation."

Within minutes of your report, MPs get to work sweeping up the members of the spy ring that Elise had marked out so helpfully for them.

Standing nearby, watching the Jade Chinese agents be taken away, most to a gulag, one to an incinerator.

A senior officer approaches you, "Major Zoya, good work, with the evidence we've found we can sweep up the rest of these Jade Chinese agents."

You nod, "I'm glad to serve my country."

"Hah, spoken like a true patriot!" The man laughs and claps you on the back, "Well, I think you've earned a brief vacation from all this, take the rest of the week off!"

You salute crisply, "Thank you Colonel!"

You turn and head for the train station. As you approach you spot a harried-looking woman step off the train and as no-one is looking subtly change your face as you smile widely.

As the real Major Zoya Kirilinko passes you, you slip her ID card into her pocket and whisper, "I don't envy your life."

She spins around just as you step on, and the doors close before you can hear her response.

You sigh in relief as the train begins heading back to The City.

What a bothersome day.

(And that's Part 22! Part 23 will be up tomorrow at 9:00AM, GMT+10! Next time, the Red Queen calls the team together, and the heist begins!)

No, what happened was torture THEN execution but since they were all going to die/exile, it didn't really matter in the end.
>>
>>30985760
I'm just glad that this is a quest where torture actually gets used instead of everyone immediately doing to usual song and dance of "IMMORAL! TORTURE DON'T WORK! BAD WRONG NO! I DON'T CARE THAT WE DO STUFF JUST AS BAD IF NOT WORSE, TORTURE WRONG!!!!!"

That doesn't stop some people from complaining about morality and how torture doesn't work, etc etc. I once had a Shadowrun player in an old group of mine try to be extremely pacifist... That character didn't last a day.

>>30985871
Whatever the reason, it's still refreshing to have a quest not infested with those fucktards.

What's wrong with giving someone a quick, painless death via cranial ventilation?
>>
>>30985943
I know, they were in the middle of a gunfight after a job went sour. He quite literally tried to talk his way into a peaceful negotiation... A couple of shots to the head shut him up, you can't negotiate with fucking DRONES.
>>
>>30985943

I played one for two+ years. Its doable if you plan for it, and make the distinction between property/asset damage and personal damage
>>
>>30985958
Nothing wrong with it so long as they don't have info we need. Just do it after the interrogation / torture / whatever. No need to kill someone by peeling their skin off or anything like that, just twist their arms and then after they spill the beans we twist their head (or shoot them), just as we've been doing.
>>
>>30985958
it makes noise we don't want to make.
>>
>>30986035
Then a neck snap.
>>
>>30986008

Also, I'm pretty sure I'm the only shadowrunner ever who went out of their way to get heavy laser weaponry and a gauss rifle, with the intention of never intending to actually shoot people with them.

By god do they stop vehicles though.
>>
>>30985997
Yeah. I really can't stand that type. Though in general keeping the mind open for the possibility is a good thing for a runner to have. But doing it after a job gone wrong is a horrible idea.
>>
>>30986063
Especially when the enemies shooting you are automated drones, not people.
>>
>>30986049
>Neck snap

That makes noise too. That and I"m pretty sure Alice is very very angry right now so everyone is going to die a gory death.
>>
>>30986110
We have noise dampener tech. But if it's still a problem, then choke them. Shit shouldn't be hard with ROBOTIC ACTION KUNG-FU GRIP.
>>
>>30986085
Yeah. I mean I see the value in being willing to say trade with a corp that was trying to kill you last week for info on someone they want to kill this one. Or getting support from someone a month after a shoot out.

But trying right after a bad job is very stupid and automated drones just makes it retarded instead of just stupid.
>>
>>30986153
The funny thing is he accused me of killing off his character unfairly, when he was trying to talk to machines during a gun fight. I rolled the dice right in front of them and he got wasted, not my problem he didn't pay attention to what I told him. He said he thought I told them there were humans amongst the drones as well, which I never said.

But they didn't walk up to enemy soldiers in the war zone and ask for a truce. Not only that but I'm going to assume most of the people around them shot people in the face.
>>
>>30987859
That is just sheer stupidity. Still I always find a soldier who is more willing to die for their country more "noble" that one who will kill for it.

The soldier who would throw himself on to a live grenade to protect his mates, or lie on razor wire while his mates used his to get over, ya' need guy like that.

Still people die in war, that's just how it is.
>>
>>30988042

>ya' need guy like that.

Considering the military has a entire lesson on why this is retarded and will wind up killing not only you be the guys around you in real life. We really don't need that.
