Yeah I totally didint notice it was saturday, I thought it was friday. Let me think... convinced everyone to move in with Lyann at least for a bit

Euphry and Lyann(?) stayed where they are since they feel safe with the whole Krew hanging around, tho

Oh and went to visit Sinoe (with Aritsu of course) since we want to recruit her for Mako's incoming educational children's show. Turns out she is a pretty good illustrator, so considering hiring her to illustrate children's books and maybe some of specials for the comics someday. Art is very good but warm, think Rebecca Guay

well, lets get started I guess. Again I have no idea how we start early and yet get actually started late. I blame myself for buying civilization V (conquering the world by making them all buy my jeans and listen to my music is too fun)

Aritsu invites you to get comfortable. Her home is a very nice little house, as if it had come out of the good old fashioned american dream. A small place with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, a front and a backyard surrounded with a little white fence. It looks like a old house that has been very well taken care of.

Aritsu: "Would you like a drink or a snack?"

Mako: "Can I have some water, please?"

Aritsu: "Sure. And you, sir?"
>>
>>31036471
I'm fine thank you
>>
>>31036471
"Actually, water would be nice. Thank you Aritsu."
>>
>>31036636
After about 15 minutes, a recently showered Sinoe walks out wearing the same paint/crayon/ink stained overalls she went into the bathroom with. She's otherwise squeaky clean, with her long golden hair cascading loose behind her and smelling of strawberries.

Aritsu: "Sino, please put on fresh clothes, too!"

Sinoe: "But these are nice and fresh"

Aritsu: "I meant clean clothes. You aren't going to paint right now"

Sinoe: "Okaaaay... give me a little bit more." -her bare feet make a pat pat pat sound as she hurries to her room

Aritsu: "Here's your water. Now, I assume you'll want to see any details about a contract by yourself, then I can check it? it would be incongruent for me to write it like I would normally do."
>>
>>31036674
"Agreed."
We trust her, but I'm sure some of our coworkers would use a chance like this to blacken our name if we don't do it aboveboard.
>>
>>31036674
"I suppose you're right, but before we settle on anything I'd like to see how Sinoe and Mako interact and get along. A closed audition of sorts."

We can roll to subtly structure the deal in Sinoe's favor right? And also keep the bulk of her finds inaccessible for X years or until Aritsu disburses them to her sister, right?
>>
>>31036783
Uhmm... I get that would be biz... yours is higher than Aritsu so she may not notice. Honestly I think it should be so that Sinoe can access her money if anything happens to Aritsu or after 12 years from right now (which is about when she's calculated to be an "adult" mentally), but until then she can get a small percentage monthly as an allowance of sorts.

Roll 15d10 for biz.
>>
Rolled 3, 9, 4, 7, 3, 7, 10, 10, 2, 8, 8, 3, 4, 1, 4 = 83

>>31036854
Gah! Rolls...
>>
Rolled 9, 9, 8, 7, 4, 3, 7, 4, 2, 8, 4, 2, 5, 5, 9 = 86

>>31036854
>>
>>31036854
Oh I agree with Sinoe having access to some of it up front, but I do want the bulk of it hidden away so Ari has the opportunity to teach her sister about fiscal responsibility before we hand little Sinoe an unlimited credit card and tell her to have fun. I'm also not sure what her maturation rate is, so if you think 12 years is more appropriate than 20 to restrict her access to her money, I'm happy to acquiesce to your judgement.
>>
>>31036854
>>31036925

I don't know if the business contract would have those sorts of provisions in... Maybe better to have some other document drawn up about what happens to Sinoe's money?
>>
>>31036895
Well to go easy about it, I decided she mentally matured at 1/2 speed. Aritsu and Sinoe are 24, so Sinoe is mentally 12. In 12 years she'll be 18, so it seems fine to me. I guess it depends on what you think is a proper age, and/or where you live

>>31036947
Yes, you are probably right

Be right nack gonna get breakfast
>>
>>31036968
Sinoe comes back after a while, dressed in a shirt and clean overalls. She keeps her hair loose but by a bright red silk lace she tied it with.

Sinoe: "So how can I help?"
>>
>>31037164
Tell her about the plan.
>>
>>31037164
Introduce Mako if Sinoe doesn't know her yet, then pitch the show as something fun for her to do, if she's interested.

Make sure we don't pressure her into this with our natural persuasion.
>>
>>31037280

You mostly sit with Aritsu and talk with her about work while Mako talks with sinoe. The blonde shows her her paintings, and they talk about what she'd like to see on tv. After a bit they go to Sinoe's room so she can play the violin for Mako. They seem to get along fine, and you get the feeling the blonde tickles the chinese beauty's motherly instincts.

Aritsu: "I believe they will be fine, but being somebody's friend doesnt means you will be able to work with them. Why dont we let them try a pilot episode, first?"
>>
>>31037280
Sorry, pitch the show as something fun to do that will help teach kids basic lifeskills, reading, math, creativity, cooperation and social awareness. It's more than just fun, it's something important.
>>
>>31037399
I think a pilot episode is an excellent suggestion. It'll take a little while to design and build the set and to settle on a full format for the show, but a pilot is going to be necessary to shop the show to networks anyway and it would be good to give Sinoe a taste of the job before production ramps up.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I gave Mighty Quest for Epic Loot a try... and was massively dissapointed. Instead of clever traps and dungeons, almost all of them seem to consist of 'cramming everything into one room, and just swarming you with monsters.'

As a Dungeon Keeper fan, that makes me sad.
>>
>>31037556
It wasnt like that originally but they changed how the bosses/elites/minions related to eachother and that screwed the game a lot. This week sometime they said they are changing it again so it may be better by friday. Hold on a bit.

Sinoe: "Can I play granpda Botticelli on tv?"

Aritsu: "I've told you the violin isint grandpa. It belonged to grandpa and its brand is botticelli."

Sinoe: "But it likes when I call it grandpa!"

Mako: "It's fine, isin't it?"

Aritsu: "I give. Sir? little help, please."
>>
>>31037706
"Sure you can."

For our next trick, the Ned Salter Group (d/b/a Salt of the Earth Ltd) will buy out the Jim Henson Company and have Elmo doing a singalong with Mako

"Nothing wrong with naming your prize posessions, Sinoe... But it's important to have your facts straight. That's one reason why learning is so important; Mako's been studying hard, learning English so she can be understood. She's been doing spectacularly well."

I have no idea how to deal with kids. Just, get Sinoe to agree to be really careful with it and get someone on staff to help her navigate everything and help her out.

Also, we should see if Aritsu would like an associate producer credit on the project so she has an excuse to stop by the set whenever she wants.

The fuck, does this means that children have to chose what skills are tagged when watching the show now?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFlT6EyebMQ

I had no idea it meant anything else

Although having been reading The Gamer (thanks to an /xwf/ recommendation), shows designed top boost specific skills might not be the worst idea ever...
>>
>>31037838
That sounds like a good idea.

Mako and Sinoe get along just fine. Mako loves children and Sinoe is easy to love, so they have no problems. By the time you have to go, Sinoe wants to know if Mako will come back to play again.

Mako: "I don't know, can we invite Sinoe over, instead? that way we can learn to swim together!"

Ned: "I suppose you will have to ask Lyann, but I dont see why not."

Mako: "Oh, and she can meet Mao Mao!"

Later, you drive Mako back to Lyann's and go back home to shower and browse the OPNet for movies, buying some views of the ones you find interesting for later.

There's a message from Jenn (from !N) asking if she can interview Aura and Okaba, and requesting that you reply when you can.
>>
>>31038010
I thought I reccomended The Gamer? Anyways, I'm pissed Quick Start!! hasn't been translated anymore. C'mon /tg/ scanlations, it's pretty much the /tg/-ist series ever, get back to it!
>>
>>31038163
Sure, set it for Monday see if Jenn's fine with using our office's conference room for the interview. Should make it easier for Aura and Okaba since they're usually in the XWF building anyway and I trust our office's security.
>>
>>31038251
That sounds good.
Anyway, Im going to lunch and... oh wow im actually finishing the thread at the target hour for a change. Ill come back later in case anyone has any questions and such. Suggestions are also welcome, btw.

Otherwise, see you tomorrow, guys

See you then King.

Someone ITT did. If you say it was you, it probably was.

It's not earth-shatteringly amazing, but it's good fun, and a nice premise. 7/10 (1 point of that is because I wish IRL worked that way... The GF is teaching me how to cook, and has referred to it as 'skill grinding') worth checking batoto for

I just wanna see him trying to game the system. "How can I break this setting" Is pretty fucking hilarious as a premise for a story.
