You are Flying officer Julian Reber of the Royal Air Force. You joined the RAF to fight the BETA, aliens who threaten to exterminate humanity, and to honour the memory of your Swiss mercenary ancestors. You've recently come back from a covert operation in Russian territory and learned that certain factions of America and the United Nations were planning to destroy the BETA using strategic bombardment, regardless of the collateral damage.

Now, however, you're enjoying some much-needed rest. Your bed sheets are heavier than they should be, but you don't usually don't get this kind of warm, comforting sleep, not even in the summer. You don't have a reason to complain.

You crack one eye open and look at your clock. It's... very early morning. You clearly remember taking a nap and asking Elaine to wake you after she was done with the shower last night. It seems she couldn't wake you up or just couldn't be bothered.

Then you look down and notice Elaine is, in fact, sprawled on top of you, using your shoulder as a pillow. She's wearing the nightgown you gave her last night. You look down her back. She's only wearing the nightgown you gave her last night, and it seems the sash has come undone. The only reason why you don't have a full view of everything is that her body is pressed against yours.

On the other side of the room, Knight is soundly sleeping in Elaine's bed.

Stay like this for a while longer.

it's a great time to recalculate things from the beta reactors, whatever that means.
>>
>>31085597
You don't have a reason to get up right now, so you might as well stay like this for a little while longer. You wrap one arm around Elaine and gently stroke her back as you wait for her to wake up on her own.

Elaine eventually stirs and climbs up to rest her head on your pillow, her eyes still closed. She grips you a little tighter and runs a hand down your chest.

"This would be nice to look forward to," she whispers in your ear.

"It's always nice to have company," you say.

"Maybe." Her hand stops just above your underwear. "I had a friend, back when I was 14. Her boyfriend got drafted. She was desperate and lonely, so she got herself pregnant. The boyfriend got killed and last I heard, she's working 12 hour shifts at the factories and trying to raise a kid. All because she was desperate and lonely."

"My father said something similar when I went to visit him," you say. "Something about having to repopulate the Earth. Everything we do revolves around the BETA. It's just a matter of time before we fuck because they're forcing us to."

Elaine rolls aside and turns her back to you.

"I'm sorry for teasing you like this all the time," she says. "And for not being able to decide how desperate and lonely I am."

>"It's fine. I'm the same."
>"You should sort yourself out before jumping in my bed."

>>
>>31086180
"This seems like something you should sort out before jumping into my bed." You roll over and hug Elaine from behind.

"If it only it was that easy," she says.

You stay like this for a while longer and fall asleep again. You wake up a few hours later and get ready for whatever your new assignment is. Elaine is only just barely covered by her nightgown, so you pull your sheets over her before leaving.

Your destination is Group captain Hall's office. Things have apparently been quiet for a while, but that sort of lull never lasts. Even if it does, the Group captain should know you're back.

It's the crack of dawn, but the main office is packed and Hall's adjutant waves you through.

"Good morning, sir." You salute the Group captain.

"Reber." He nods a greeting at you. "Welcome back. I heard your errand went well and I don't want to hear anything more. Are we clear?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good." Hall motions for you to sit down and hands you a folder. "On to business, then. Your new Typhoon has arrived. Flight lieutenant tells me the experimental two-seater unit will be installed in the morning, so we'll begin test flights this afternoon and Flying officer Knight will be joining you. The RAF says you're in charge of the test flights, so it's your call how we do this."

>"I'll start with basic exercises."
>"A light patrol should be fine."
>"Where's the biggest BETA formation we can get to?"
>>
>>31086763

Knight has no previous experience, so we should start with the basics.

>>
>>31086763
"I'll start with the basic exercises." You pick up the folder and flip through it. "I should get used to the way it handles before I crash it."

"I'm surprised." Hall laughs. "I thought you were going to take it out on a laserjagd."

"It was tempting, but the lasers can wait, sir."

You take your leave and take a closer look at the documents Hall gave you. The Typhoon has the melee weapons for prolonged Hive infiltrations and the agility to deal with Lasers - hopefully. If you don't get a good handle on it, there's a good chance you'll crash it. Starting with basic exercises was probably a good idea. It'd be hell to pay if you crashed what's technically prototype TSF.

You have the morning free until the Typhoon is fitted with its new cockpit.

She's been champing at the bit to get out into the field; she's bound to be pretty excited to know that it's actually going to be feasible now.

Still don't know why they'd have CIC ride along with a Storm Vanguard from a practical standpoint, but hey.
>>
>>31087262
>>Find Knight and tell her the news.
>>
>>31087262
It's time for breakfast and you should find Knight to tell her your orders. She's been stuck behind a desk for too long and getting her out in the field, even if it's just for basic training, will do everyone some good. Pilots can't see much beyond their own TSF and the command staff can't get a good feel for the battlefield just from the satellite images. Then there's the Hive infiltrations...

You walk into the mess and grab your tray. You spot Knight and Elaine and carefully manoeuvre around the morning hustle to get to them without spilling anything on yourself.

"Good morning," you say.

Elaine greets you half-heartedly and nervously looks away.

"Good morning," Knight says. "You were up early. Did you get your new assignment."

"Yeah." You hand Knight the documents outlining the Typhoon's evaluations. "Looks like I'm taking you out for a ride this afternoon."

Knight reads the orders and her eyes go wide and she hugs the documents to her chest. Then she throws them on the table and throws herself at you.

"Thank you!" She's practically giggling. "Thank you so much!"

"No need to thank me, I'm just following orders anyway. Elaine, we'll need you to fly chaser."

"No problem."

Knight finally calms down and takes a closer look at the Typhoon's specs. You spend the rest of the morning talking her through the basics of TSF piloting. She knows the basics, but there are some things that just can't be taught. On some points, the best you can do is warn her of what to watch out for.

The CIC unit is more complicated. You know what the equipment does and how it works, but you're not so certain about why it's there. Knight needs to give you a refresher on strategic warfare.

>(cont.)
>>
>>31087850
You keep talking until you're through with lunch.

"I think that covers everything," you say.

Knight leans back and massages her forehead.

"Good, I don't think I could remember anything more."

"It'll be fine. We'll support each other." You stretch your arms and legs a bit. "That's how these things usually go."

"I'll keep that in mind," Knight says.

"We should get going," Elaine says. "Basic exercises aren't hard, but it'll take a while to get through them."

You help Knight up and the three of you go to the hangars to see your brand new Typhoon.

It's beautiful. It has two assault cannons. It has two Flugelberte combat axes. It has blades fucking everywhere. It's like someone took a meat grinder and turned it into a TSF.

"This is going to make Hive infiltrations so much easier," you say.

"Good afternoon." Mary walks up behind you and gives Knight a combat suit. "I'm glad you approve of the Typhoon, but please don't be too hard on it. It's ready for production, but we still need the prototypes to finalize certain details."

"I'll be careful," you say.

"Please do." Mary hugs Knight and kisses her cheek. "Good luck. And make sure he really is careful with it."

"I will, thank you."

"Come on," Elaine says. "The locker rooms are over here."

You give Knight a quick tour of the hangars to get her oriented and bring her to Arthur squadron's locker room so you can get changed into your fortified suits. To you and Elaine, it's business as usual. Knight, however...

You've seen women desperately try to cover themselves up while changing around men. You've seen women like Elaine who give no fucks and focus on the job.

Knight is the first TSF pilot you've ever seen who goes into a locker room wearing sheer black underwear trimmed in red. Her bra seems designed to support her breasts without covering anything up and her panties are tied at the side. You didn't even know that kind of underwear was still being made.

You quickly finish putting on your own suit.

"Sure, just turn around," you say.

Knight turns around, giving you an excellent view of her backside. And her hips. And her legs. And everything between her hips and her legs.

You kneel and help her slide her feet into the fortified suit's legs. You slowly roll it up her legs, making sure to keep your eyes down.

"It's fine," Knight says. "I'm nervous, but I'm not scared. You don't need to be so careful."

"If you say so."

Now that you don't have to feel bad about looking at Knight or touching her, it's a lot easier to put on her suit. You stand and help her get her arms into the suit. From this angle, you can clearly see her ample chest and her face both flushed red.

The suit hangs loosely off Knight's body until you press the button to make it contract and become skin-tight.

"All done," you say.

"Thank you," Knight says. She turns around so you can get a full view of her in the suit. "How do I look?"

"You look ready for battle," you say.

"Really?" Knight beams at you and her chest swells with pride.

"And you look really good."

Knight looks confused for a moment until Elaine, who has finally finished changing into her suit, jumps on your back and clings to you.

"He means your breasts are of an ideal shape and size for motherhood, and we can see your nipples poking out." She pauses for a moment. "I'd be jealous of the compliment, but they do look very nice."

Knight is now bright red all the way up to her ears. If her suit was plugged into a life support system, she'd probably have a fever.

"You don't have to worry about it, Vivian," Elaine says as she drops off your back. "They're not that obvious, and they'll calm down soon. It won't be a problem anymore once you're used to it."

"I, ah... I'll keep that in mind," Knight says. "Can we get going now."

"Sure," you say. "Just follow me."

Knight stays right behind you and uses Elaine to cover her flanks until you reach the TSFs. Elaine goes to get her Tornado while you step into the Typhoon.

The cockpit is odd. It's familiar enough that you can find your way around it, but it still feels off. You slip into the front seat and plug your suit into the TSF. The retinal HUD appears and confirms everything is normal. The HUD's format is standard, so that won't be an issue, at least. The knobs and buttons you're used to are all there, except for the ones that have to do with the back seat, but they're not quite in the same place. Your gut feeling is that the ergonomics of this design are better than the Typhoons, but your muscle memory will screw with you until you get used to the new model.

"I'm okay," Knight says. "The HUD and the controls are a little strange, but everything's there. It's like my usual station, just bigger and with a better view."

"Wait a second," Vivian says. You hear her work at her instruments behind you and your HUD flickers briefly. "Done. I've uploaded visual markers of our flight plan to your HUD and I've also connected to all active Camelot tactical networks. We're cleared for take off."

Having to keep track of an entire squadron is hard enough as it is, especially for the storm vanguard; all it takes is one bad move and you'll get cut off and isolated just like your first battle at Calais. Having someone who can keep track of all active friendlies is bound to be useful.

"Understood." You power up the engines. "Beginning takeoff procedures."

You power of the jets and launch out of the hangar. It's a standard launch followed by a standard flight. The acceleration is a lot faster than a Tornado's, but while Elaine can't catch up with you, you don't exactly leave her in the dust either. You push your Typhoon as far as it can go and then a little bit more, but you quickly back down to the prescribed safety parameters. The thrust vectoring is a lot more sensitive than you expected and you don't want to take any risks.

"How are things back there?"

"It's fine," Knight says. "I'm keeping track of the external cameras and the sensors. No problems detected."

She doesn't sound sick - and you know what *that* sounds like - so that's a plus.

You follow up your straight speed test with some curves. Again, it's better than a Tornado - the turns are faster and you don't bleed as much speed - but you can't push it much further than the indicated speed limits. You're afraid you'll start flying parallel to the ground if you do and while you could handle that kind of stunt in a Tornado, you're still not familiar enough with the Typhoon.

Just to be on the safe side, you pull up Knight's vitals on your HUD.

You start off with the basics: climbs, dives, turns, reversals, decelerations and accelerations. The Typhoon easily surpasses the Tornado in speed, response time and fuel consumption.

Then you get into the acrobatics most pilot wouldn't dream of doing in their worst nightmares. For starters, it turns out the Typhoon is capable of flying inverted for long periods of time. Knight's heart rate spikes up when you try that one, but it levels off after a few minutes and you don't hear her scream or complain about it.

You follow your inverted flight with manoeuvres you thought of following the Hive infiltration. Hive tunnels are massive, but they're covered in BETA. It's like a giant, cavernous colon covered in shit that can fling itself all over the place.

You draw your assault cannons. They're empty, but you just need them out for this next part.

"Knight, keep an eye on the targeting systems," you say. "Make sure they stay pointed outwards."

"Understood," Knight says. "Tracking targeting systems."

You start flying in a wide helix pattern, making sure to keep your assault cannons pointed where a Hive tunnel's walls would be. If the Typhoon is going to be used in Hive infiltration, it needs to be able to clean the bastards right off the walls.

"No deviation in targeting systems," Knight says. "Everything's stable."

You level your Typhoon and descend for the ground portion of the test.

"Proceeding with ground tests," you say. "Knight, I'm going to make this a rough landing to see if the joints can handle it."

"Understood," Knight says.

You head towards the ground at an angle most pilots would affectionately call suicidal and cut the engines. Gravity takes you the rest of the way down and you hit the ground hard - your warning lights start flashing from the strain - but you twist the Typhoon around to slowly bleed off momentum and avoid damaging strain to frame.

The landing is followed by a wide range of stress tests. You check how fast you can switch weapons, or how their weight can assist your turns. You hop around on one leg with and without thrusters to see how agile the Typhoon can be when pushed to its limit. You perform more sudden acceleration and decelerations to learn the best way they can be done to avoid putting undue strain on the frame. The Typhoon greatly exceeds your expectations, and the expectations of the engineers who designed it.

Which is good, because you're running out of fuel.

"Looks like we're done, ladies," you say. "Knight, how are you feeling?"

"I'm fine," she says. Her breathing is a little heavy, but her vital signs are clean.

"Nice show, Julian," Elaine says. "I'm sure the engineers will love it."

They can probably improve the frame a little using your flight data, but it's not like there are a lot of pilots who could pull this off. Most of them would just get themselves killed.

"I'm sure I'll have a great time filling out all the reports," you say.

You get your Typhoon back to its hangar and power down. Knight tumbles out of her seat, but you help her up.

"I can stand on my own," she says, glaring at you slightly.

"No, you can't." You wrap one arm around Knight to lead her out of the Typhoon

No need to stay in our fortified suits the whole time we're giving the mechanics the whole rundown.

It might not be necessary to have both of us around doting on her after a rough training session, but the mechanics are going to need some time to parse the flight data anyhow.

No sense in running right in to tell them what to change even before they actually get a handle on things. Let them figure out what our test run did to the machine so we've both got all the information by the time we're making suggestions.

also, y'know, >>31091425 too.

HEY, chief mechanic is going to be apart of our harem too, so disregard the ones that don't have stonking great tits

Well this anon has to head to work, fellow anons, keep us and the harem alive while I'm gone.

"Elaine, can you help me bring Vivian back to the locker room? The mechanics can wait."

"With pleasure." Elaine sidles up to Vivian's other side to support her.

"This really isn't necessary," Vivian says.

"No, but the more you complain, the more you miss out on your chance to grope Julian's ass," Elaine says. "Believe me, it's worth it."

"You're hilarious, Elaine."

Vivian didn't mind showing herself off to you earlier, but she thankfully resists the temptation to molest you. Or you just can't feel her through the fortified suit.

You bring Vivian to the locker room and she slumps on one of the benches, completely worn out.

"Is combat always like that," she asks.

"It depends on what type of person you are." Elaine shrugs. "Some people scream their lungs out in the cockpit. Others keep their cool. You just slip into whatever works best for you."

"Most first-time fliers would pass out after the stunts I pulled," you say. "You did extremely well, Vivian."

Vivian perks up immediately.

"Thank you, Julian." She fidgets nervously a bit. "Do you... do you think you could help me take the suit off?"

>"You'd better ask Elaine."
>"Sure, it's not a problem."
>"Only if you help take off mine. I hate peeling these things off"

Mary's got a bit of a soft spot for Knight, so she probably won't mind if we play it off as making sure she wasn't handling the aftermath of our (totally necessary and practical from both a military and engineering standpoint) showboating too badly.

It's not like we want to blow off the grunts either, but I'm sure they've already got their own opinions of us, what with our machine usually coming back needing appreciably more work than average and our repeated independent tinkering with our machine's specs.

"I'd usually just dissolve the film and be done with it, but Elaine's been giving me a hard time about that lately. Might need some help for lack of practice, but maybe it's worth trying to do properly every now and again."

We've already gotten Elaine to help, may as well go all the way with it.

And if Knight is going to lead a resurrected squadron, she'll need some Gunnery skills

Thinking about the logistics of it, this would actually be really helpful.

Thinking about things besides the logistics of it, I can't imagine this not being a good plan either.

>>31092093
with our combined our plans, we have both backup AND justification!

Go team!

Not 100% sure how I'd write the backup, so I'll leave this one to the dice gods.

1= Backup
2= No backup

Oh well. Was a minority faction anyway, so I can't really complain about a coin flip for it.

>>31092154
welp, all the softness to ourselves then, not like Elaine hasn't gotten plenty of feel of it.

>Vivian Knight has unlocked Gunnery.

"Sure, it's not a problem," you say. "But could you help me take mine off afterwards? I hate peeling these things."

Vivian nods and releases the suit's skin-tight function. She turns around and waits for you to help her out. Meanwhile, Elaine strips her suit off and throws a towel over her shoulder.

"I'll go on ahead to the showers," she says, leaving the two of you alone.

You carefully slide Vivian's suit off her shoulders and peel it off her arms, careful not to pull too hard. It wouldn't tear, but you've seen people pull muscles in all sorts of ways while taking off their fortified suits.

"I was really happy when I was assigned here," Vivian says. "I was really impressed when I learned Elaine was part of the nobility, so I think I bothered her about it too much..."

"She has some family issues," you say.

You slip the suit off Vivian's torso. Sweat clings to her hot skin and slowly trickles down her back and her chest.

"She told me about it," Vivian says. "While you were gone. I think she needed the company. I guess I needed to learn reality wasn't like the stories my parents told me."

"The hardships of the nobility are not for commoners to understand," you say. "Then again, they should probably be my hardships as well, but I have bigger problems to worry about, what with the war and everything."

You motion for Vivian to sit down and she extends her legs so you can finish pulling off her suit. You bundle the suit up and wait for her to get her towel. She doesn't.

"It's your turn now," she says.

You slacken your suit and Vivian starts pulling it off. She isn't used to it, so you still have to do most of the work.

"I was really happy when Elaine told me more about herself," Vivian says. "And I was really happy when you showed me what it was like to fly in a TSF." She finishes pulling the suit off your torso. "You can sit down now."

You lower yourself on the bench and Vivian starts peeling the suit off your legs. She has the good sense to maintain eye contact.

"And I'd be really happy if I could learn more about you, too," she says. "Over time, I mean."

"I know," you say. "We might not have much time, but we can figure something out."

And that's it for this evening. The thread ran a lot longer than I thought it would, but it was an investment in future suffering, so I'm okay with it.

Next thread will be Sunday at 7PM EST. We test our new Typhoon's dakka.

Good night, folks.

Thanks.

We need more Knight and Mary in these threads!

I'm sorry, but when did we shift to first name basis with Knight?

Normally, they ask us if it's okay to call each other by first name basis.

We just shifted from calling her Knight to Vivian without any warning
>>
>>31092648
more like we need elaine and knight get more mary points.

>>31092695
this ain't japan bro.
>>
>>31092695
Probably when we asked her if she was okay with taking our pants off.
>>
>>31092747
I know, but considering we did that with Mary and Elaine, also for the fact we shifted from calling her Knight to Vivian without any warning can be a little confusing
>>
just caught up, at work, thanks for the thread RC, pity we didn't get to tag team Vivian's suit with Elaine, but we can do that next time, hopefully Elaine takes longer in the shower so we can join in.
