You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

You yawn, your body sprawled all over Fairless’ comfy ass couch. Definitely a hell of a place to fall asleep on. You take a look around, Fairless doesn’t appear to be in bed and you can hear the shower running. She must be showering.

Goddamn, Fairless’ body. Wonder why a girl like her would turn down modeling contracts, and those legs. If you were gay, you’re sure last night probably would have ended differently.

But regardless. Time to figure out how to start the day.

You let Fairless finish her shower, then get to your own. Man, Fairless’ shower is amazing. It actually has a warm setting rather than Mr. Freeze or Firefly. Plus, her strawberry shampoo is simply invigorating.

You step out of the shower, feeling refreshed. You get your uniform on and get your things together in your backpack, and step into Fairless’ room where surprisingly she’s setting out breakfast for you.

“Oh, you shouldn’t have,” you say.

Fairless shakes her said. “Nothing doing. You’re a guest. Eat up, we’ll head to school in a bit.”

Excellent, FREE FOOD. Butter toast with some scrambled eggs and bacon, YISS. You start digging in and…

Huh. Disappointingly, this doesn’t taste as good as you thought it’d be.

Fairless sits across from you, eating her breakfast. She looks at you and asks, “How is it?”

You say, “There’s some room for improvement, definitely.” You reach into your backpack and pull out Anyone Can Cook. “Here, have a readthrough of this, it taught me how to cook, it can teach you too.”

“Oh,” says Fairless, taking the book. “Thanks.”

You smile. “Don’t mention it!”

> ANYONE CAN COOK NO LONGER OWNED

You finish off your breakfast then the both of you head out the door to meet the Senior Council Members, minus Fredendall.

Carnegie smirks, leaning in closer to the two of you. “Oh… did you finally get laid, Fair- OW!” Fairless tugs on her ear. “Ow! Ow! Lemme go! Lemme go!”

“What were you saying?” asks Fairless simply.

“I didn’t say nothing! I didn’t say nothing!” says Carnegie.

“That’s a double negative,” says Fairless as she tugs harder.

“I didn’t say ANYTHING!” yells Carnegie. Fairless lets go, and Carnegie retreats, squeaking in pain.

“Right then, let’s head to school then,” says Fairless.

You say, “Last night was pretty fun, Bernadette. We should do it again sometime!”

Carnegie grins. “I bet you-“ Claire tugs on her ear. “Ow! Stop it! Why is everyone doing this to me!”

“It’s rude to assume, Henrietta,” says Claire. “Besides, neither of them have that look in their eyes that says they had sex.”

“How would you know?” says Carnegie.

“Middle School was a bitch,” says Claire. “But speaking of bitches, I hear the Domino Lady is returning all the underwear she stole.”

“Yeah,” says Carnegie. “Hall Monitors are returning all the panties today. I even received mine! Sky blue silk and white and blue striped panties!” Carnegie giggles. “I tell you something, when I get a boyfriend, he’s going to be stoked!”

Andrea, without looking up from her phone, says, “Implying you’ll get one.” Claire wheezes into laughter while Carnegie simply glares sidelongedly at them.

You say, “Well, girls. Tomorrow another Academyship is coming to visit, excited?”

Claire says, “Sure. Long as they don’t steal anything.”

“Yeah, remember when the German chorus kids came last year?” says Henrietta. “I loaned one of them my favorite jacket, brown leather jacket, fur lining, like the jacket in Indiana Jones. Never saw it again.”

With that, you arrive at school. Your crew waves to you. “Hi, Gertrude!” yells Nancy.

Fairless and company bid you farewell, and you walk over to your crew. “Hey girls!” you say to them. Your chipper mood is dented as they look at you, curiously. “What’s with that look?”

Kitten smirks, chuckling. “So, you and Fairless have a lot of fun last night?”

Kitten stops her laughing for a second. “Oh! That’s rich! Really is!”

“Well, what can I say?” you say. “I’m a ladykiller!” The two of you laugh more at your jokes.

Nancy says, “Well, next time you sleep over at Bernadette’s, you should invite us, Gertrude!”

“I’ll think about it,” you say.

But regardless, it’s time to head to class.

Math class goes by relatively quickly, however, something catches your eye on your way in.

Another pink love letter.

Motherfucker, you smell it. Smells like strawberries. Well, it doesn’t distract you from taking notes of course. Still, you didn’t even know love letters were still a thing in the era of Facebook.

Then again, you don’t actually have a Facebook, you’re not sure what all the fuss is about anyway.

As you head to lunch, you decide to give your letter a read.

Nancy, Lisa, and Ramirez look at you, concerned. Nancy says, “Gertrude, are you okay?”

“Yeah, Boss,” says Lisa. “You’re redder than a tomato on a Native Reservation.”

You hold the letter out to them, and they quickly skim over it, exploding into intense blushes. “Whoa,” says Lisa.

Nancy asks, “What does she mean by-“

“Adadada,” says Lisa as she shuts Nancy up, probably for the better. “Yeah… Who the fuck is sending you this shit? Is it Kitten?”

You scoff. “Can’t be Kitten! Kitten doesn’t do poetry like this!... I think. Besides, even if it were Kitten, why would write this stuff?”

Nancy shrugs. “Maybe it’s just some random admirer.”

“That’s more likely,” you say. “It’s probably just a starstruck Freshman. A very wordy lewd Freshman.”

With that, you sit down to lunch.

“Ellen Page is overrated,” says Lisa. “But anyway, I suppose just the love letters pass or something.”

You nod. “Of course.” You look over at Nancy. “So, Campaign Manager, how’s my campaign?”

Nancy stops eating then says, “Well! Judging from the debate recently and the apparent fact that you drove away the Domino Lady, it looks like the polls are starting to equalize. It’s pretty much anyone’s election now.”

“How do we make it my election then?” you ask.

Lisa shrugs. “I dunno. Leak nude pics or something? Didn’t Fairless draw you in the buff?”

You say, “It was for an art project of hers, but yes she did draw me nude as the day I was born. What’s your point?”

Lisa chuckles. “Maybe if you were to “accidentally” leak that, the Freshmen would come out in droves for the recalls. You’d win in a landslide.”

Nancy giggles. “Oh dear, that’s terrible, Lisa!”

Oopsie, time for Health class.

You say goodbye to your staff and head to Health class. It’s a relatively boring class today except for-

“That’s a penis!” yells Willie Hanna.

The class bursts into a fit of immature giggles as the professor pulls out a life-sized model of a Penis. “Now, class. I know this is difficult and I’ll let you get the laughter out now. You stand there, blushing a little as you hold the condom. “Um…” you say. “So, how does this work?”

“Simple,” says the Professor. The class watches you, giggling. “Tear open the packet and pull out the condom, then carefully bring it down over the penis.”

You nod, pulling out the condom then gently bringing it down over- “I’m sorry,” you say, pausing. “Does it really have to be so anatomically…” you tilt your head, “… Correct?”

The Professor smirks. “Why, would you like to do it with your mouth?” The class bursts into laughter, as do you a little. “Go on, it’s not hard. Make sure it’s nice and tight-“

“Professor, please,” you say as you pull the condom over the penis. You bring the rubber down over the meaty shaft then around the base.

“And make sure you pull a bit at the tip, to leave room for the ejaculate,” says the Professor. You pinch the tip, pulling on it to make a little bit of room. “Alright, and that’s the proper way to put on a condom.”

You say, “What’s next? The proper way to have sex?” The class laughs.

The Professor smiles. “Sure, I’ll be sure to bring in James Deen and Manuel Ferrara for them to demonstrate how to properly have sex!” she says. Everyone’s sides are just gone at this point now.

After that, classes go by relatively quickly. Nothing of note happens in Theatre, nor in History Class, nor in French. Appears though that everyone is talking about the latest visit from Black Forest Peak and an apparent emergency stop in Portugal due to some issues with Naval Studies.

I usually don't spam posts, but I have to correct this. Have you noticed how we won all our matches, and have quite a few CP left, and how we have this handy 1CP maneuver we can use if we don't know what to do ?

Or perhaps split them into teams assigned with specific tasks?

I don't. Every Ace has something valuable to teach still. Wendy will eventually drop a Command Perk.

>>
>>31142751
There's a misconception here about the tactics we're using.

Tank are a breakthrough type of weapon. But that's only in the sense that its faster than infantry. If EVERYONE is moving at the same speed and reactive ability and is roughly equal in firepower and defense, well, then tanks are just over sized infantry units.

As you walk, you decide to finish up the book.

It really is quite crappy, but it is someone’s memoirs. Probably why it hasn’t been published. If anything though, it belongs in a museum.

Though, you have to say, at least this book was entertaining in some aspects. You can’t help but think that maybe the author would have been better off writing something else. Regardless though, it was an interesting but somewhat bad read through and through. You suppose the excellent relationship between the Commander and the gunner was great though.

> STRANGE GERMAN BOOK PERK UNLOCKED: Focused Shot: You can now tell Nancy to target specific parts of a tank, at the cost of 20 CP. These shots will always land and inflict critical damage to the tank in question.

You arrive at the Tankery HQ in good time. Afterwards, your crews start arriving in good order, apparently excited at the prospect of Black Forest Peak visiting tomorrow. From some chatter from the Naval Studies kids, you’re apparently landing in Lisbon tomorrow next to them, for the ship’s emergency stop. Even Fairless has arrived, though the crews part like the Red Sea wherever she walks.

“… and that is precisely why the IS-2 totally sucks fucking dick,” says Wendy.

Kate raises her hand. “Objection. The IS-2 is great at Anti-Tank with the massive 122mm gun. Excellent armor all round too.”

“Kate, please,” says Wendy. “The Japanese Nationals, it couldn’t even take down an I-Go, what are you expecting>”

You say, “Can we get on with the lesson?”

“Yeah, sure,” says Wendy. “Anyway, let’s discuss coordination. You need coordination in order to have a chance at doing anything relevant as a team. If you all rush headlong into things, you’re going to have a bad time.”

Cathy raises her hand. “Our next fight is with Chi-Ha-Tan, do you think you could give us any tips?”

Wendy says, “It’s always hard to fight against a Guerrilla enemy but consider that their tanks are not as great in full on tank brawling matches. You get into a slugfest with a Japanese tank, they’ll crumple like the paper they’re made of. Thusly, it’s always important to choose what kind of battle you’re facing. If you’re ten on one, it’s safe to you have the advantage, no one will blame you if you didn’t see the ambush coming though.”

Cover and concealment is pretty sparse here, limited to nothing larger than some shrubs, save for a valley area bisecting the map from Chihatan's side.
This isn't as forested as our match with Walter Christie in Sweden, so I do wonder how they're gonna pull off an ambush.
>>
We know that CHT does ambushes, they avoid direct combat, they're willing to sacrifice tanks to get a better tactical position. They won't let us have good intel because of how well they camouflage. They have fast scouts, and whatever their intel doesn't cover they can likely accurately predict. They can adapt to changing situations so we can't count on surprising them.

What we have over them, though, is armour and mobility. Their mediums are slow and their lights can only reasonably threaten the Hellcat head-on. We can effectively absorb their hits and control the map.
Their ability keep us out or slow us down is limited to how far the O-I can move before we're on their doorstep.

How we take advantage is simple. We move in multiple small squads supported by scouts. Each squad would support the other. This makes it harder for them to track us and harder for them to fight us.
We move quickly to limit how well they can maneuvre. If they're allowed to roam, they'll avoid us and come from behind, attack our flanks, pick us off at their leisure with calculated trades.
We aggressively flush them out of hiding using the Chi-Ha and Stupa. HE lobbed from a position they can't respond to is overwhelming against their thin armour.

They play like the Japanese fought, we have to counter like the Americans countered. Overpower them, bombard them, meticulously scour every fucking nook the gooks can hide in.

If we're stupid, they win. If we're scared, they win. We keep a level head and an ear on the situation, we can pull through without losing control.

Now, the exact plan will depend on who's our flag. Just remember these general points and the fact that they've never won the tournament. Hell, Maho's probably fought them a few times, we can ask her what she thinks.
For all the hype, CHT ain't shit. Don't let them scare you into thinking too cautiously about fighting them.

Wendy asks, “So who’s our flag tank for the match?”

Nancy says, “For our match, it’ll be the T-34. Which means the Rifle Team is at bat so to speak.”

Samantha says, “Good, let them come to us then! We can take these guys!”

Wendy says, “No you can’t. You shouldn’t. Using a flag tank in actual combat is a tactic of last resort. Now, your T-34 might be able to bounce most shots from the Japanese tanks on account of your sloped armor, but even then you’re still vulnerable to rams and other irregular attacks.” She pulls down a curtain over the board, revealing a T-34 in profile. “For example, early model T-34s. Front turret cheeks are shot traps, they’ll bounce shots right into your top armor or into your turret ring.”

Megan raises her hand. “How do we counter that?”

“By upgrading to one of the later models that had less of a shot trappy turret or by not engaging at all. Your gun is good mind you, it can take on anything that Chi-Ha-Tan has, but you’re medium tank first and foremost and secondly you are the flag which will preclude actual combat.”

You take all this down, it’s important after all.

Well reasonably fast, their most likely fielding their mediums as scouts.

The Hellcat while having shitty armor, can outpenetrate and out range the Japanese arsenal, so we can have a scout dictate where to fire.

Eh, I rather get rid of their scouts, cut off their information. The rest is fine considering that the M7 Priest was a favorite to use against Japanese tanks.

Crewing problems.

Or did you not read that post where you'll be sticking a 3 man crew in a 5 man tank.

And changing up their workload a few days before a match.
>>
>>31144504

There's no reason to worry about the T/34 at all this match, anyway. It already enjoys a large measure of superiority over all but the absolute best of the Chi-Ha-Tan tanks. And if we expose it to fire in the first place, we dun goofed.
>>
>>31144489
I'm sorry, but can I get some sources, I want to see penetration values and from what I recall the 57mm and the 85mm had similar performance values.

I'm also not looking just at the main armament, but also armor as well.

From what I've seen the T-57 was a limited production in which they 57mm anti tank gun on a early model t-34.

Correct me if I'm wrong
>>
>>31144530
True.
Have any of you watch The White Tiger?
Protagonist T-34-85 only have Gunner, loader and drver/commander, and they struggle with vision.
Once eponymous tiger get on their back undetected.

Oh ya, sorry about that. I did some really poor math in my head and didn't connect that we'd be down a tank. My bad.
>>
> Gunnery Practice

The rounds fly as you fire at the targets across the field. The Girl Scouts appear to be getting the hang of it along with Theatre Tech, while the Magicians and Naval Studies Engineering are still having some kind of trouble with their tanks.

At least Naval Studies was quite gracious in accepting the Stupa. As Dory stated, “Big things are our thing.”

You start coordinating with Nancy, this time in rangefinding and choosing a particular point to hit on the target. Nancy has learned to hit things with better accuracy to your specifications thankfully enough.

Wendy leans forward on your turret. “I’m impressed,” she says, clearly looking unimpressed. “Nancy’s becoming quite the gunner.”

Nancy pokes out of the Loader’s hatch. “How did I do, Wendy?”

“You’re doing fine,” says Wendy. “You’re not Michelle but you’re coming damn close.”

With that, you move onto Maneuvering Practice. The Magicians have trouble in the Chi-Ha you temporarily assigned them in, while the Naval Studies Engineering students are simply struggling to get the Stupa to catch up to you all. Assault guns.

At the very least, they’re managing to retain formation to Wendy’s strict calls to either separate, join, or switch up formation. It’s a hard day of practice, but it’s finally over.

Oh right, on the subject of the 100mm D-10T last time...

http://www.wwiivehicles.com/ussr/guns.asp
>100 mm M-1944 D-10 L/56
BR-412 APHE 90* 195(500m) 185, 214(1000m)

Not sure what the 214 indicates.
>>
>>31144697
I'm looking at it, and the 57mm is a little weaker then the 85mm if I'm reading this correctly.

Also their kind of lumping the 85mm guns together.

http://www.wwiivehicles.com/ussr/guns.asp

What I got is that the 85mm gun has better (if only slightly penetration value). However, considering that the 1944 model comes with the improvement such as a better turret design, better armor and track design, and a improved gun sight.

> Hit the Showers

So let's revisit the basic strategy. We're going to have a significant part of our force cross the dam. The rest we'll leave behind to watch the road from the bridge and any fording spots so they don't just play merry-go-round with us.

When a moment of opportunity arises or just any unexpected moment I suppose, we'll ford our some of the tanks left behind across the river. They will support the main advancing forces, sow chaos, spot ambushes. The Chi-Ha and Stupa will work with the main force.

They don't have the capacity to break out, so if we can contain them while being careful of ambushes, we should do alright, right?

Also, I don't think anyone mentioned this before, but we should take full advantage of the rule allowing us to step out of our tanks. What's harder to spot then the profile of a camouflaged tank? A person laying prone acting as lookout for the unexposed tank. Can also be used to check out suspected ambushes without exposing the tank to their 75mm.

You yawn a little as you wash up Kitten’s hair. “So, Kitten, how was practice, fruitful?”

Kitten shrugs. “It’s alright I suppose. Wendy’s a hell of a taskmaster though. I’m a Radio Operator and I feel like shit even now.”

You nod. All the crews did look a bit pained and tired. But at least practice is through.

“Yep!” you say as you wash down Kitten’s body. “We’re going to be giving them a gift and Fairless and friends are also planning a few things for them.”

“Cool,” says Kitten. “Can’t wait.”

With that, you step out of the showers and change into your school uniform. Fairless and crews are sticking around, though the crews are still a bit wary of her presence.

“Anyway,” says Dory. “We’re ready for the match. Don’t worry!”

Fairless says, “It was very interesting.” You nod, smiling.

“That it?” you say.

Though it seems like that tactic of fixing and flanking is really the best one they have. It’s a good tactic to the unexpecting, but those smart enough to break it can easily do so.

You yawn a little as you say goodbye to Fairless. She walks away, waving goodbye, as you all head back to your dorms.

“Nancy,” says Lisa. “Can we not do Arby’s next time? Something a little more classy maybe.”

Nancy says, “Well, I’m not made of money, but I suppose next time we could try Olive Garden or maybe Red Lobster.”

“I don’t like seafood,” says Lisa.

“You don’t like seafood?” asks Kitten. “It’s great, shrimp and prawn with some butter, maybe a few oysters and clams, Mmm!” She rubs her belly, smiling. “Real Chesapeake bay flavor I tell you!”

“Yeah, I still don’t like it,” says Lisa.

Saladin, Apprently we're mining that out right?

I don't know. It's kind of vague whether it's pointless to study them or if we can get a maneuver that has to do with flanking.

The goal isn't to mine out school completely but to see which schools might provide bonus abilities like Miho's hook.
>>
>>31146995
Then it would seem that the best/most tactically smart schools yield the highest chance for that.

“Yeah, you remember that Spaced Armor Kit we picked up? Would you mind attaching that to the T-34?”

“Sure, simple work.”

“Okay, great!”

“Alright, it’ll be done tomorrow morning. We’re also getting some kids here saying you wanted them to paint camo on your tanks?”

“If they can.”

“They most certainly can, I will advise them on things. Talk to you later, Gertrude.”

“Thanks, Mr. Mishka!”

With that, you hang up.

Here's the thing that bothers me though.

Are we in it to Farm CP or gain a Perk?

The match is on Saturday, and we need CP so what if we do find this maneuver and it cost CP to learn it?

Some will want to spend it and gain the tactic since it will be useful, then we're right back farming again.

Or a team that does one thing really well. Maybe.

We shouldn't cut out the possibility of more conventional schools unless we know for sure they won't give us anything. It's still unclear about Saladin.

>>31147073
The perk, at least to find it. CP just comes with it, we already have more then enough for the match.
We can decide if we'll buy whatever we may find when we find it.
>>
>>31147073

Both.

Just because it opens up a skill, doesn't mean we need to learn it immediately. We delayed learning Miho's hook till much later and we could do so in during regular command theory training sessions once the ability has been discovered.

One of the things I'm having trouble understanding is where they got the penetration values from. As most of the guns on either page don't give citation.

Because of this, I tried making a formula to find how much velocity a round loses over a certain distance. It's entirely approximate as drag is higher at high speeds and lower at low speeds, I would have made a better one and tossed it into MATLAB so I can add different step sizes, but I'm too hungover for that.

dv/ds = - (C * ρ * A * v)/m
Which basically gives change in velocity over a distance
(ms^-1)/m
C in this equation is the Drag Coefficient of the shell. I just used the drag coefficient of a bullet

B = (v * m^0.5)/(k * D^0.5)
Where
B = thickness of the armor (Decimeter)
v = velocity (m/s)
k = coefficient
D = calibre (Decimeter)
m = mass (kg)

So as I was saying before, this is only an approximation, and a really bad one at that because to get a good approximation you would have to lower the step sizes to a couple meters and input the loss of velocity into the next equation and so on and so forth. Which is where MATLAB comes in, unless you're hellbent on doing it by hand.

Even if they're undermanned for the next match its no big loss. They're not meant to be fighting anyway. Have one person as Driver, another in commander and someone pulling the last 3 jobs.

The most we can expect them to do is fire one round then haul ass out of there.

You burst out of the shower, feeling recharged and ready to hit that sack. You wear naught but a bra, a white blouse, and your panties as you get ready for bed.

Though, while you were in the shower, you were studying Saladin Military College.

Octavia.

The question is whether we want the 57mm or 85 upgrade for their tank. One way or another, they need the upgrade for the next match. But do we want effective crewing next match or take the risk and go for the bigger gun but they don't function effectively next match.
>>
>>31148176
We don't need to upgrade them. By the time we do tommorow, it will be too late.
>>
>>31148176

No we dont

Not when their current gun will take out type 97s reliably.

Face it, we dont need to do anything to their tank for this match.
>>
>>31147901
Numbers do say the ZiS-4 is better. The reason it wasn't used more often was because its HE abilities were non-existant due to the fuse failing and the small payload, and the introduction of the 85mm.
But, the question is whether they actually need that penetration against CHT, they might need it in subsequent matches, but not this one.

Whenever Ramirez speaks more than 2 sentences, its must be the words of God speaking through her.

Because they're not?

It's only after Lisa beat the shit out of him that she started taking an interest in him

“How the fuck does it happen like that, Ramirez? How would you know?”

Ramirez shrugs. “She has that look that says, ‘He saw me naked. What do I do? Should I have sex with him?’ You know that look.”

Kitten says, “Ramirez, that is so anime I can’t even begin to describe it.”

You look at Lisa. “Well, did he?”

Lisa sighs, looking away. “I might have left my door open and I might have been changing into my striped panties at the time and he might have just walked in like a fucking savage instead of knocking!”

Nancy giggles. “Oh, this is precious!”

“Oh shut up, Nancy! Do you know what it’s like having a boy walk in on you in such a candid fashion? It’s horrible!”

“But it’s so adorable!” says Nancy. “The two of you together!”

You say, “You and Huxley walking down the beach!”

“Stop!” says Lisa.

Kitten leans in, cat smile on her face. “… holding hands!”

Lisa screams into the night.
