So I said I'd write a CYOA about the no-star that we found getting his ass kicked in pic related.

Anyone want in on this?

Sure, why not.

(Bear with me, it'll be a little slow until it's not.)

Your joining of Honnouji Academy was a lackluster one. After your father was busted for a white-collar crime, all of your stuff was taken. The police took everything. With nowhere to turn, you heard Honnouji Academy offered housing. You enrolled, and found yourself in a very competitive food chain. You don't do well in competitions, you didn't have any special skills, you didn't excel academically, you were just... there. Perfect no-star material.

You were scrawny, with hair like a mop, and a horrible, horrible stutter. The only way you get by is through hiding out and laying low. You don't have much friends, but the Airsoft Club likes to use you as target practice. And the tennic club. And the pottery club. You make for a good target, apperently.

You took to living in the sewers. You found an old service room, emptied it, put an old mattress in it, a toaster, a tube TV with an old gaming console, an alarm clock. Life was good. However, today you awaken awaken early to the walls vibrating. Is something going on above you?

[ ] Go and check it out.
[ ] Ignore it, rest some more.
[ ] Panic, the walls are coming down!
>>
>>31150384
Also, should I do first to 5 votes, or first to 10?

Also, trip.
>>
>>31150384
Go and check it out.

Is it that terrible day that we have to make it to school or be expelled?

Even we can't miss that.

Well, after five minutes this is all that I'm gonna get, then we're going with that.

You open the door to your cozy room and step into the sewers. You got used to the smell, after a while, and you learned how to keep the rats out of your room. They leave you alone, too.

Climbing out to the surface through a manhole you previously opened in a back-alley, you look out to see a hoard of no-star students marching. Oh fuck. You're in the process of missing No-Late Day.

[ ] Run back home, get dressed, and get the hell to school ASAP!
[ ] Give up, go back home. You fucked up, might as well not loose sleep over it.

You scurry back into the sewers, finding quickly your pile of clothing. You take a quick sniff. Smells like sewers. Eh, it'll do. You pull on your pants and throw your shirt over your shoulders, putting it on after you've assimilated into the crowd.

After a while, everything stops. No one is moving.

[ ] Make your way to the front, see what's happening.
[ ] Wait, something is bound to occur.
[ ] Slap yourself on the forehead for not using your knowledge on the sewers to get as far as possible

You slap yourself on the forehead. Goddamn it you dipshit, you forgot that you LIVE in the sewers. It's, like, your element. Whenever you steal food (which is often), you can always depend on loosing whoever is chasing you in the sewers.

You look under people, searching for an entrance, sometimes currying between legs. This earns you a slap from one of the girls. You smile a bit. They were blue.

Eventually, you find what you are looking for. A manhole. Unfortunately, it is covered, you don't have a crowbar, and even if you did, you aren't strong, at all.

[ ] Try to get someone to help you.
[ ] Find another way of getting in, you can take any chances with these people.
[ ] Guess you're going to have to go the normal way.

You look around. Someone here has to be able to help you. Someone that looks strong enough to rip open a manhole, or sketchy enough to carry around a crowbar.

You're about to just start begging anyone when you hear a loud bang. Looking up, you see some of the crowd has dispersed into a sand lot. One kid steps forward only to be sent flying by a massive explosion. So that was the reason for hesitation, it is a literal mine field out there. How the hell did they clear out all the shanties?

Got no idea how to dice roll, lets do this.

You walk up to the sand lot. A little line that reads "START" is painted on top of the entrance. Oddly enough, it does not ignite within you the desire to start. You look left and right. Some have taken to groups, others go alone. Occasionally, a mine is set off, sending another poor soul soaring.

You take a deep breath, steel your nerves, and walk in a strait line forward.

We take one step. Then another step. Hey, this could be easy. You start walking with more and more confidence. Heh, imagine, if the way to navigate the minefield actually was just strait ahead.

And then you feel your foot push a button. You freeze. A siren goes off, and the ground starts rumbling. You only now realize that you are in the center of the lot, and the newfound center of attention.

You start rising upwards, a bomb of massive proportions revealing itself. Seriously, you're 20 feet off the ground by the time it stops making it's grand entrance.

And then you hear it. Like a kitchen timer.

Looking around, all you can see are a few rocks and a ladder across the pool. It is after a few moments that see some of the rocks are moving. You calmly asses that you are in the gator pit. Their evil, reptilian eyes, look at you with hunger.

You decide on appealing to the more rational side of the gators. Unfortunately, you forgot that you have a horrible, horrible stutter.

"Uhhhhh-uhh-uh, H-hee-heel-luh-low," you stumble out.

The three gators surround you, then look at each other.

"Oi," one whispers, " did he just try to talk to us?"

"Fack," the other one laughs out in thick Australian accent "I think he did."

They rise to their feet, revealing themselves to be massive, and with one-star leather jackets on, with Ground G8Rz emblazoned on the front and backs.

"I-I-I... I WUH-WISH T-TUH-TOOO NEH-NUH-NUG-G-GOSSHHH-SH-IATE F-FOR MUH-MUH-MY LUH-LIFE!" you shout in a panic.

The gators keel over in laughter.

"Tha cheeky cunt thinks he can get away wiff 'is life!"

"Wait- wait, I wanna here what he's offerin'!"

You sweat. "A h-home?"

"Already got dat," one immediately shrugs.

"Ahhhhhh... fruh-freedom?"

They all look at you. "You got out attention."

Shit man, your bad at decisions like these.

[x] Yes.

You stand like an idiot for a moment.

The letter suddenly has more writing under it.
"Okay, but you owe me!"

You stare, baffled by this whole ordeal. The look on your face is probably priceless, scrunched up in annoyance, anger, and exhaustion. Apparently someone does find the look funny, as you hear a giggle from one of the classmates.

She is looking right at you, two deep blue eyes and blond hair tied back in a pony-tail. She waves at you. You're so fucking done with all this shit. "Bye bye!"

"Wh-" and then the spring trap goes off, and you learn that today, the sky is the limit for you.

You make a rough landing, tumbling for a bit before your eyes adjust. You're in front of the school. No. Fucking. Way.

A giant timer sits in the center of the lot. It says that you apparently have one minute left.

You aren't the fastest student around. You aren't /fit/, you aren't a natural, you aren't remotely trained for speed. But goddamn, on a mix of anxiety, adrenalin, sleep-deprivation and pure fury you run so fast you swear your uniform falls off.

You burst into your classroom, screaming, pantsless, and crazed. Your skin is pale, your hair matted, your eyes bloodshot, your smell like sewage, your scream a raspy blast of pent up fury.

The class erupts into a riot. Pencils soar through the air, kids beat each other up, someone throws a chair through the window. Still screaming, you walk to your seat and sit down.

After a while, the room calms down. The homeroom teacher stands, looking disturbed.

He tries starting up the attendance with your name.
"Fa-"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" you scream at him in response. The whole class goes apeshit again. A student is thrown from the window.

Suddenly, when you stop screaming, it all ends. The teacher blinks. "Present."

First time doing a CYOA. I think I may have taken it too slow. Fuck. How are you guys liking it so far? You all introduced to the main character, the poor, unlucky bastard we're about to torment?

I liked it.

But I should remind you before it's forgotten:
Put "quest" in your subject field next time you run a CYOA/Quest/Otherthinglikethis so people can filter it.

I don't give a flying fuck you got trips you dirty nigger, don't you even call me someone from /a/. I mostly hate that place for becoming shitposting heaven just like /v/. Both those places used to be alright for discussion now they're fucking awful and I hate it. And I've been a elegan/tg/entleman twice as long as I've browsing other boards.

The reason they devolved into shitposting is because of reactions such as yours.

If you don't react to it, they won't degrade the board.

Nope.
>WOW THAT ENDING WAS SHIT
There was a little disappointment, but it wasn't outright rage towards it.
The general consensus is that it definitely could be better, and was one of the weaker parts of the story, but wasn't outright awful.
>WHY DID SENKETSU DIE
I really didn't want Senketsu to die.
I can't speak for /a/ on this, though. I have no idea.
>GAMAxMAKO GOT BTFO
I can't tell you I've read anyone say this.

Most people that weren't just shitposting ("KlK a shit") were pretty OK with the ending.

That's what I do and it's turned out pretty alright so far.

Not that I would encourage it, but you really can't plan ahead for /tg/. No matter how hard you try, something will fuck it over in the end. Whether it be dice or outright stupidity, I can't say.

Oh my fucking what? Is that because of Mako saying she wanted to go on a date with Ryuko?
>>
>>31154404
I can probably say without any definitey that it wasn't extremely likely to be all improvised, but there was a chance that it might have possibly been all made up on the spot.
>>
>>31154405
That's about it

>>31154404
I don't know Op was pretty damn competent despite the long gaps in writing.
>>
>>31154405
There were some /u/fags who wanted MakoxRyuuko from the start, so it's not surprising when she started talking about dates that they became vocal.
>>
>>31154404
I'm a QM here, too. I make up a lot fo things on the spot.

Funny thing, if you went that route you would have met Anaru earlier.

There were going to be shenanagins involving him spurning us into action and doing athletic feats we normally couldn't.

But I guess debt is okay, too.
