You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

You yawn, opening up your eyes and finding that Kitten, who slept next to you last night, has now wrapped her arms around you in the night and refused to let go. You look over onto the floor to see your Ramirez and Lisa sound asleep, and Nancy busy cooking up breakfast.

You try to rise, only to be tugged on by Kitten. “Kitten, let me go.”

“No,” says Kitten, her eyes still closed as if still asleep.

“Whatever,” you say as you rise anyway, taking Kitten with you as she rides on your back, dragging her feet on the floor. Someone knocks at the door, and your in exhausted state you decide to go answer it.

You open it up to see, Fairless and Betty, and their respective student councils.

“Hey, Gertrude,” says Fairless. “Morning, Carol.”

Kitten groans, burying her face into your back, trying to get away from the light.

“We’re in Lisbon!” says Betty. “And Black Forest Peak is due to arrive in just a few hours. You want to help us introduce them and show them around?”

You nod, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. “Sure. What time is it?” Betty shows you her watch. “4:30?”

Fairless nods. “They’re very punctual I hear. Go ahead and get ready, we’ll meet you at school.”

“Alright,” you say. You gently shut the door on them then walk over to shower, Kitten in tow. Time to get ready. You and Kitten quickly shower together, making sure your hair is in order and making sure your skin is smooth as a baby.

However, you’re stumped a little. On the one hand, school uniform, on the other hand, Tankery uniform. Hell, this is a day to be casual even too.

What should you wear? Heck, should you add a hairstyle change to it maybe? Even some make up? Perhaps a nice hat if you had one?

Lisa says, “Stop worrying and get dressed,” as she walks into the shower.

You decide on wearing the Tankery Uniform today, and with that, so does your crew.

When you walk out of the dorm, Lisa asks you, “What’s with the twin tails?”

You shrug. “Felt like it.” You brush one of the tails behind you, the other resting on your shoulder. “Think they’ll like it?”

Lisa says, “They might think you’re a child.”

“Oh really?” you say, smirking. “YOU are calling me a child.”

“Don’t start,” says Lisa. “Let’s go.”

Nancy has cooked you breakfast on the go, sandwich toast with sausage and eggs. Crispy meaty goodness. You meet up with the Councils downstairs and head onto your destination.

“So, Betty, we haven’t talked much, you doing okay?”

Betty smiles, nodding. “Sure! I actually got a modeling contract, soon as I finish school, I’ll be working with a small magazine firm.”

“That’s cool,” says Nancy. “I wouldn’t be able to do modeling myself, it’s so… I don’t know how to describe it.”

Betty says, “Oh, modeling just takes confidence in yourself and your body!”

Carnegie and Frick chuckle a little. “Sounds like Betty hasn’t lost her way,” says Carnegie.

“So, is Black Forest Peak bringing any guests?” asks Fairless.

You nod. “Sure. I assume they might bring a select few members of their team, and apparently Maho’s bringing some family over.”

“Cool,” says Betty. “We’ll look forward to it!”

Nancy pulls out a box and hands it to you. “Oh, take that, Gertrude. It’s Maho’s welcoming gift, the Sewing Club’s scarf.”

“Ah, almost forgot,” you say.

You arrive at the loading dock. Black Forest Peak has arrived in all its huge glory, towering right over LGA. Lisa states that it’s one of the bigger Japanese Academyships in service. Not as big as Robert Heinlein but it seems to come damn close.

You sigh. Now you play the waiting game.

Everyone sort of defaults to idly chattering amongst themselves and updating their statuses on Facebook. You say, “So, Bernadette. How are you doing?”

Fairless shrugs. “Eh, alright. Things could be better I suppose.”

“Oh?” you say. “How so?”

“Well for one, I could have less work, I could have friends, I could quit smoking. But here we are.”

“Ah.” You scratch your chin a little, pensive. “Yeah, I suppose things could be better. Speaking of which though, where’s Fredendall?”

Fairless says, “Apparently she doesn’t have time to welcome the prestigious Japanese Academyship students to our school so she’s taking a couple of vacation days at home doing nothing but getting fat over ice cream and hot pockets.”

“Of course,” you say.

With that, you see the loading elevator rise, and come up with a huge assortment of German vehicles. The lead one rolls up to you first, a huge passenger car, like something out of an Indiana Jones movie or Hogan’s Heroes. The occupants inside include Erika, Maho, an assortment of BFP students, and a few in unfamiliar uniforms.

They pull up in front of you, and get out. Maho, Erika, and Akaboshi walk up to you. “Gertrude Pool!” says Akaboshi, smiling. “Hello!”

You say offer your hand to Maho. “Welcome aboard! It’s nice to see you all safe and sound!”

Maho nods, shaking your hand politely.

Lisa leans into Fairless’ ear to whisper, “Does the Anime Club know about this?”

Fairless says, “As far as the Anime Club is concerned, this is a German school, not a Japanese one.”

Maho whispers something into Akaboshi’s ear. “Nishizumi-sama is grateful for you welcoming her aboard your ship.”

You nod. “Of course.” You gesture over to the Councils. “You remember my crew, Nancy is my Vice President, Lisa is my treasurer, Ramirez is my secretary, and Kitten is my best good friend.” Maho and Erika look at you, confused. You shrug. “Moral support. We also have the Junior Council, President Betty Grable, Marilyn Maxwell, and Jane Russell. And then we have the Seniors, Henrietta Carnegie, Andrea Frick, and Claire Walker, and the Senior Vice President Bernadette F. Fairless.”

Maho, Erika, and Akaboshi all look at Fairless, terrified on the inside but not outwardly showing it. Akaboshi says, “It’s nice to meet everyone.”

You blink. “Oh, one more thing!” You present the scarf to Maho. “A welcoming gift. As a thanks for the Sturmpanzer and all the support you’ve given us.”

Maho takes it, smiling a little. She bows politely to you, then says something in Japanese which you assume to be thank you.

Erika says something, to Akaboshi translates as, “We would like to see the school, so we’ve brought our own vehicles if that’s not too much trouble. Shall we?”

You offer your hand to her, smiling. “Nice to meet you, have we met before?”

She tilts her heads, curious, then says something in Japanese. Akaboshi translates it as, “I believe you two met at the hotel, you ran into her apparently.”

“Oh, that was you!” you say. “Nice to see you again then.”

Miho smiles at that. Akaboshi says, “She’s also brought her crew with her. Isuzu Hana, Reizei Mako, Akiyama Yukari, and Takebe Saori.”

You look back at all of them, smiling at them as well. “It’s nice to meet all of you!” They nod, greeting you in Japanese.

Damn it, is Akaboshi the only confident to at least try and speak Japanese?”

Erika looks back at you and says something. “Itsumi-san wishes to know where we’re going first.”

You show them around the initial building. “Here we’ve got a lounge, working showers, a lecture hall, a planning room, etcetera etcetera.”

Miho says something in Japanese. Akaboshi continues to translate. “She wishes to know how long you’ve had this building.”

“Only a month or two really, had it built in a few days before the Tank Meet if I recall, funnily enough.” You snap your fingers. “But of course, let us come to the tanks!” Yukari squeals, stars in her eyes.

You all come into the Tankery HQ’s Tank Hangar. Yukari yells in amazement, quickly speeding around, shouting in fast paced high pitched Japanese as she runs from the Sturmpanzer, to the Churchill IX LT, to the M8A1 GMC, and all around your tanks.

Akaboshi says, “Akiyama-san really likes tanks.”

You say, “We’re taking good care of the Sturmpanzer IV you sent us.”

Erika blinks. “Stupa?”

You nod, to which Erika happily runs over to the Sturmpanzer, running her hand on the restored hull. Akaboshi says, “Stupa was Itsumi-san’s trainer when she was a Freshman before she was assigned to her Tiger II.”

“Oh,” you say. Erika looks over at you, skeptically. You raise your hands defensively. “Don’t worry, I won’t kill it.” You continue on with the line up, and you actually see that your M4A3 and your Panther chassis has arrived. “These two are new arrivals, we’re planning on getting some of our new crews in them.”

Yukari squeals, coming in between you, Maho, and Akaboshi. She says something in Japanese. “Akiyama-san is happy that you happen to have a Panzer IV and a StuG III like their team does.”

“What team do they play for?” you ask.

“Ooarai Girls Academy,” says Akaboshi. “They won the tournament against us.”

Oh. Huh. You completely forgot about that actually. Huh.

You motion over to your M4A1E8. “And there’s our tank. Hasn’t changed much from the Tank Meet but it’s served me and my crew well.”

Maho says something to Akaboshi. Akaboshi says, “Nsihizumi-sama thinks your line up is quite unique. It’s somewhat similar to her little sister’s.”

Akaboshi asks you, “So is Lafayette Girls Academy a good school?”

You say, “The best! We’ve got all kinds of programs for students of all kinds. We’re actually thinking of restarting the exchange program after the elections.”

“Elections?”

You bite your lip. “Nevermind, but anyway, LGA recruits mainly out of states below the Mason-Dixon line and Northern Virginia. My sister actually wants to attend, she’s a big fan of Miho and Maho.”

Akaboshi says something to Miho, to which Miho smiles, blushing a little. Maho says something back to her in Japanese, and the two laugh quietly.

Boy, you kind of wish you knew how to speak Japanese.

You arrive at campus.

You say, “You like taking pictures, huh?”

Akaboshi says, “How else will we remember the fun we had?”

Well, can’t argue with that. Regardless, it’s time to show them around the school. You show them through the various department buildings, through some select classrooms, the lunch hall, the gym (the one that turns into a pool, turns out they don’t have one), the sports field.

All of it is resolved by lunch time, where you meet your Tankery Crews outside.

“We’ve all decided to spend the rest of the day with you guys,” says Kate. “Figure we might as well.”

You nod. “Cool!”

> Some place nice

You decide to have yourself some lunch at a nice barbecue place. It’s well known for its ribs, burgers, bbq sauce, and all things meaty and chewy. Certainly the most American thing you can do for the Japanese. It even has a stage where the Freshmen play their music idly, to the amazement of the Black Forest Peak girls.

You sit down with your staff. “Man, Black Forest Peak.”

Lisa looks over to the Black Forest Peak girls gathered around the Magicians, performing card tricks with them. “Black Forest Peak girls do not know how to have fun.”

You shrug. “Well, they’re nice, Lisa.”

You look over at the sisters Nishizumi, having lunch with their crews. The Girl Scouts offer up complimentary cookies and the like to the BFP Girls. As well.

You say, “Cover me. I’m going in.” You stand up, take your plate of ribs and hot wings, then quickly sit next to Maho Nishizumi. “Hey, girls! Enjoying yourselves?”

Akaboshi nods, sitting between Maho and Erika, across from them is Miho and her crew. The tall one has a HUGE fucking plate, ribs, wings, breasts, fries, nuggets, EVERYTHING holy fuck girl. Akaboshi says, “It is nice of you to treat us to lunch. We would have served you some lunch at our Academyship.”

“Oh please,” you say. “You’re our guests, this is how we show hospitality. Enjoy yourselves.”

Saori says something, to which Akaboshi asks you, “Are there are many eligible bachelors on this ship?”

You shrug. “A few. Not many, this is a Girls Academy.” Saori looks a little disappointed at that.

Suddenly, there’s a burst of smoke as Erika Weiss pops in. “Behold! The power of MAGIC!” she yells, her cape flowing in the non-existent wind and her hands flailing with MAGICAL POWER. “I shall perform tricks that dare defy the power of the human imagination!” She holds out her hand. “… for five hundred yen.”

You place five dollars into Erika’s hand, and she quickly makes it disappear into her sleeve. A deck of cards flies out of her other sleeve and onto the table. “All of you, please pick your cards!”

You, Erika Itsumi, Maho, Koume Akaboshi, Miho, Yukari, Saori, Mako, and Hana all take a card. Nine cards in total. “Memorize them well! Burn it into your head, now place them back in the deck!” The cards are placed right into the decks.

Erika picks the deck up, shuffles it quickly, then throws it behind herself, the cards going everywhere.

Akaboshi asks, “Was that it?”

Erika smiles, her hands folded behind her back. “Check under your plates!” You all lift your plates up to see playing cards. Wait. What. You pull them out. “Are those your cards?”

Akaboshi shakes her head. “No.”

Erika blinks. “Huh? Are you sure? Let me see.” She takes the cards from all of you, confused. “Oh, damn it. This was a good trick too!” She turns the cards back to you. “Are you sure?”

The Japanese Erika jumps from her seat, bewildered. “HUH!?” Miho, Saori, Yukari, and Hana all clap, amazed.

Those are indeed actually your cards.

Akaboshi laughs. “How did you do that?”

Erika says, “Magic!” With that, she disappears into another cloud of smoke, deciding on entertaining another group of BFP students.

Both Ooarai and Black Forest. It might give us ideas on how to invigorate LGA's own clubs.
A longshot, seeing as how nofun BFP is, and how Ooarai's clubs are deteriorating, but that's metagaming.

On the other hand, I kinda want to get an in-depth perspective of the Kursk vs. Black Forest match from the Black Forest team itself, although I know it would be a sore topic for them.

“So, you girls enjoying yourselves so far? I know our Magicians can be a little obnoxious-“

Erika yells something in Japanese, tugging on her hair. Akaboshi says, “Itsumi-san is a still bit bewildered by the trick. She’s never seen magic before apparently.”

“Ah, you’re missing out,” you say.

Maho whispers something to Akaboshi, to which Akaboshi says, “Do you have many clubs here?”

You nod. “Lots. We have an assortment of national student associations. We have lots of stuff like the Sewing Club, we have the Aviation Studies Club, it’s a very unique experience. What about you guys?”

Maho and Miho stop eating, then glance at each other, then back at you. They simply shrug in response.

Nancy says, “We can rent rooms at an upscale hotel nearby. It’ll be 8,000 Dollars for the first night and only the first night.”

“Or, we can park ourselves at a nearby motel. Would only cost 1,000 Dollars but you know how crappy motels can be.”

“So, Maho, do you think I have a chance against Chi-Ha-Tan?”

Maho nods. “You do,” she says, much to Erika and Akaboshi’s surprise. “Nishi Kinuyo is a tough opponent that is flexible and can adapt to hard situations, but she can be very brash if you can force her into such a position. That is something to exploit.”

You smile. “You speak good English!” Maho blushes a little, biting down on her ribs.

Yukari says something in Japanese, to which Akaboshi says, “Make no mistake. Japanese tanks are very good in close quarters, but they crumple in long range distances. It appears your fight might be able to facilitate such a plan.”

“Of course-“ Oh shit. Plan. You forgot about the plan. You stand up, dusting yourself off. “Well, I’m sorry but I have to make arrangements to leave. I’m sorry if I seem rude.”

Maho shakes her head. Akaboshi says, “It’s fine! We understand your position. We can find our own way back to Black Forest Peak. You are free to visit anytime.” Maho says something else. “Also, Monday, Nishizumi Miho will be facing Robert A. Heinlein Military Academy in France. She hopes you will watch.”

You nod. “I will if I get the chance.” Miho smiles at that.

With that, you say your goodbyes and leave the restaurant. Time to head to the Tankery HQ.

What are we doing with the flag anyway? I'd rather have it travel with the main force where it can be watched and covered rather then sit on our side of the river begging to be snuck up on by a forded tank.
Having it at the front means CHT can't avoid our main force, they'd have to engage us unfavourably if they want to win, right?

“Are you actually sick?” you ask. Josephine shakes her head, sighing. “Then no. We need everyone if we’re going to win.”

Erika smiles. “Well, it’s all in good fun right, it doesn’t matter if we win or lose does it?”

You all pile into the strategy room where Lisa brings up the map on the table. “Alright everyone, let’s say hello to our newcomers-“ There’s a few hellos and how do you dos here and there. “And let’s begin our meeting. This is the field of battle.”

Lisa says, “Now, Chi-Ha-Tan has a lot of fast tanks, they’re not great in a fight, but they start closer to these crossings. They’re the only crossings between us and them, which means holding them is going to be important. Now, I’ve narrowed our options to two basic plans.

“If we opt for a defensive goal, we can pretty much let them come to us. That relies on using our faster tanks to get to the crossings first and holding them against enemy attacks while our slower tanks reinforce them.”

“Alternatively, if they get to the Crossings first, we can easily take them on in a fight provided they haven’t brought heavy tank destroyers in or any big surprises. It’s a simple plan that requires patience, but it should be simple enough to perform.”

“Otherwise, we can go for an offensive strike with two wings for each crossing. Chi-Ha-Tan is well known for its irregular combat ability and if we mess this plan up, it’ll REALLY mess up.”

“However, it’s the best chance for ending the match quickly and decisively. Japanese tanks are not brawlers, our tanks are. If we can take them on in unfavorable conditions and on our terms, we’ll keep the advantage and win.”

Pic related.

Red is King Tiger plus 4 tanks to push across dam. Blue is Howitzers plus Luciano with Far sight/Lockdown to provide fire support on crossing then cover the bridge. Green is Us and fast tanks to ford river and go up the hill. Hold momentarily at the little jut out to observe bridge and see if there's any movement coming at us. On fording, send heavier tanks first while light tanks provide cover.
>>
>>31166746
Defensive.
>>
>>31166746
A mix is my suggestion. We use the Hellcat to cross the dam first because it's the fastest damn thing that'll be fielded. It will wait in ambush watching for approaching Renaults. They outrange pretty much most of what CHT will field so can hold the position for a bit. The KV-85 with it's perk will be up to support it ASAP.

We'll move our force across the dam and just move in with Chi-Ha or Stupa support.

Any force not committed will sit defensively watching the bridge and any potential fording points. When resistance is encountered or any other signal that it's a good time to move, they'll move up. The goal for them is to be unexpected and support the main advance, ultimately locking CHT in a tightening box.

We can then dictate their movement around us, force them to engage at range.

The flag will be with the force going up the dam. I don't want it flanked sitting defensively. It will also force CHT to engage the main force if they want to win.

>>31167048
I very much doubt they'll come to us. They know they can't win an assault save by the O-I. The only crossing point for that is the dam. So at the very least we need to meet them there for the inevitable battle.

I'm also fairly certain the O-I can outshoot us. Bigger calibre and armor although that's not everything.

Aces if they're assaulting need the machine gun spam to counter the O-I. Luciano with Far Sight can designate targets for the howitzers. We need Blitz when assaulting their rear to take them out.
>>
>>31167055
I'm not as worried about this school as I was Walter Christie. I was just ready to get arty snipped.
>>
>>31167048
My concern is that they'll expect us to do exactly that. It would just be a matter of waiting for the O-I to get up to the dam to break through.

If we get aggressive, we can maneuver around them, put them on the backfoot. Any tanks we send across to ford can hunt for their flag while CHT is occupied trying to deal with the KV and Tiger guarding our flag and pressuring them.
>>
>>31167105
Basically it seems if we spread in different groups they will just swarm them one by one. They'll probably keep a lookoout on the center and the right and wait for our move.

As long as we can keep them at distance we can get them.

You say, “We should try play this safe, go it defensively. As usual Janek and Anna will be on scouting duties. Charlotte and Kate will be our wing commanders, and I’ll command what reserves we have. However, I should say that we need to remain flexible. Our big assault guns definitely like the Chi-Ha and the Sturmpanzer are going to remain in reserve and I’ll plop them somewhere where they can flush Chi-Ha-Tan out of hiding.”

Lisa nods. “Chi-Ha-Tan’s known for it’s ambush tactics, if we go in will nilly, we’ll be picked to pieces.”

I like this plan >>31166814 with aspects from this plan >>31166924

Basically, we'll posture defensively on our side of the river while pushing up the dam on the left. They'll have the flag to force CHT to engage them. That will draw the O-I and Chi-Ri.

The force posturing would ford the river and begin hunting, confident that they won't run into anything dangerous.

Both forces would have either the Chi-Ha or Stupa, not committing both to one flank. We need one to hunt and break suspected ambushes while the other supports the defense.

>>
>>31167461
That rocks. Our crew, at least, will be close to Eliting after the match.
>>
Also here is their line up against King Michael I University High School :

>5 Chi-Ha Kai
>1 Short Barrel 120mm Gun Tank
>1 Type 3 Ho-Ni III
>2 Type 97 Chi-Ha
>1 Chi-Nu

Obviously they didn't have yet the Chi-Ri and were limited to 10 tanks, but that should still give a good idea of what we will face.
>>
>>31167505

That goes away after we slot them into their new tank.

For all intents and purposes going into the match with CHT, they're familiar with their current sherman.

Also we should purchase the caffee from the shop already. Theres going to be a lag time before the tank arrives after all.

Lisa says, “Well, we can settle out composition before the match in detail. You said you’ll take the Sturmpanzer and the Chi-Ha and assumedly the StuG. For now, the new kids will travel with Kate, the veterans with Charlotte. Does that sound good?”

You nod. “For now.”

>>
>>31167696

M24 Chaffee (Comp. Spec.): 20,000
Mark VIII Cromwell IV (Vintage): 18,000
Total: 38,000

The Chaffee is good as gold as-is. The Cromwell on the other hand would need upgrading to competition specs, and eventually could be fitted with a 17 pdr and turned into a Challenger. Which would probably work really well as part of a scouting team with the Chaffee.

M36B1: 16,000
Panther Ausf. G: 22,000
StuG III F/8: 14,500
Panzer IV Ausf. G: 6,000
Sturmpanzer IV Series Two: 5,000
M4A4 Sherman VC Firefly: 12,000
T/34-57: 23,500
Total: 99,000

Getting another Panther up and running is probably the most sensible priority, and worth spending a Girl Scout token on. The Sherman needs to be competition specced before being used, and I think the plan was to turn it into a Jackson though an M4A3e8 would also be pretty useful. The upgrade to the Firefly would give us another medium tank that could kill all but the heaviest anchor tanks. While there is some controversy on the T-34, I think using a model 1944 base chassis answers concerns about armor protection and refinements, while the anti-armor performance of the high-velocity 57mm and the regular 85mm are a wash, and the lower crew requirements are a must for Rifle Club. The others are mostly incremental improvements, though upgrading the gun on the StuG III would increase its deadliness a bit.

So we should probably buy the Panther work using a GS token, buy the Chaffee out of pocket next Monday, wishlist the Cromwell then, and given the expense of the T/34 conversion strongly consider using a GS token for that. If we come into any extra money this week or next the low-hanging fruit are the Panver IV and Sturmpanzer, though converting the M4A4 into a Firefly would probably be the greatest single boost to the capabilities of the team not otherwise accounted for.
>>
>>31167889
We don't get the Comet, the Comet was based on the Crusader (Correct me if I'm wrong)

The Challenger was based on the Cromwell Platform

There is very little if any difference between an M4A1(76)W HVSS and an M4A3(76)W HVSS. I don't think a cast hull offers sufficient disadvantages to a welded hull to be worth the 30,000+ that converting it would require unless we really have nothing better to do with our money.

The Somua likewise is a pretty low-value/high-cost upgrade. The prototype conversion will take a lot of time and money for a tank which is still on the low end of capabilities for a medium tank by late WWII.

Slade says, “Take the damn hospitality, Miller.”

Dory rolls her eyes. “Fine, we’ll call if we need you, Gertrude. Thanks.”

With that, you all head out to the airport. The walk isn’t that long and you get there in good time to meet Erika, Maho, and Akaboshi.

Maho says something to Akaboshi. “Nishizumi-sama is lending you Itsumi-san, she is an accomplished pilot-“

Marina gasps, “Really? Would you be interested in-“ Erika shakes her head, stern. Marina frowns. “Okay.”

Akaboshi continues. “She’ll fly you to your hotel.”

> + 5 CP

You yawn a little. The Aviation Studies Club are around Erika, asking all kinds of questions like, “How long you been flying?” or “Do you have a personal plane that you use?” or even “Would you mind transferring to LGA and being part of our Skycraft team?”

Apparently the plane that you’re in is a heavy cargo plane that the Germans used in World War II, an Me 323 Gigant. Fits the name that’s for sure, apparently based off of a glider design and supposedly it can a light tank, lots of troops, an 88mm gun, etcetera.

It’s only a few hours before you realize that the rumbling and bumping that’s worrying your crews is in fact the plane landing.

“We are here!” yells Erika. The doors start opening up. “Good luck, Pool-san!”

All of you leave the plane to reveal that you’ve actually landed in a field. The Hotel is only a decent walk away though.

“And I was thinking somewhere after Thanksgiving,” says Anna. “I’ve got a couple of things planned, I need a few more models here and there, I even threw out an offer to Betty too.”

You nod. “Alright. Got a specific date?”

“First week of December maybe, Sunday perhaps. December 1st.”

“Alright,” you say. “Let me know if you want to change the date.”

You walk into the hotel, huge, upscale, grand, well-lit. Reminds you of the hotel they sent you to before you went to MEPS. Nancy checks everyone in. You walk over to the Delinquents. “So, Charlotte. You girls going to be alright?”

Charlotte nods, waving her arm. “Sure!”

“… Really?”

“Okay, I am bit nervous,” says Charlotte.

“Don’t worry, get into the flow of things,” you say. “If you fall, we’ll catch you, alright?”

“Thanks, Gertrude.”

Maya says, “Let’s get this over with already.” She rubs her stomach, “I’m starved.”

With that, you head up to your rooms. You and your crew take up a double, which includes the bedroom with two large beds, and a separate bathroom. Lisa quickly gets to ordering room service for the night, which includes dinner.

You freshen up for bed tonight, getting yourself pumped up for the match tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in the shower, you decide on studying. Good thing your phone is waterproof. It seems like Adna Chaffee is otherwise a pretty straightforward team. Nothing too special about them, but you suppose that tactic of charge and brawl isn’t the most useless thing, it certainly almost got you beat against William Adams and it’s helped Adna Chaffee be a contender for the Tournament.

You burst out of the shower in your blouse and panties then hop onto the bed, feeling recharge. Nancy is saying a quick prayer quietly before heading to bed. Everyone else is relaxing over their late dinner.

You sigh as you curl up to sleep. Kitten scoots up next to you, wrapping her arms around you. “So, girls. Ready for tomorrow?”

Nancy smiles as she settles into bed. Lisa has established a barrier of dufflebags and backpacks between herself and Nancy, for obvious reasons. Nancy says, “I’ve done my prayers, we should be fine. God is on our side!”

“Great!” you say. You look over at Lisa. “You ready, Lisa?”

Lisa shrugs. “Ready as I’ll ever be. Let’s just get it over with.”

Ramirez says, “Huxley kiss you goodnight.”

“Ramirez!” Lisa whines. “Don’t start!”

“I heard you on the phone while Gertrude was talking,” says Ramirez. “Huxley was wishing you good luck and you’re all blushing and muttering-“

“Ramirez, I will move into your dorm if you do not shut up!” says Lisa. Ramirez simply holds her hands up in defense.

Kitten giggles a little. “Well, if worse comes to worse, we have each other though. Think we have it, Trudy?”

“Think? We do have it!” You kiss Kitten on the cheek. “I’ve got Kitten for one thing!” You then pull the covers over the two of you. “Trust me girls. Tomorrow will be a date to remember.”

Nancy, Lisa, and Ramirez smile. Nancy says, “Will look forward to it!”

“Good. Good night, girls! Get some rest.” You hit the lights right then and there and sigh blissfully in the warmth of Kitten’s embrace, and the nice comfiness of the blankets and pillows.

Kitten says, “Do you honestly believe that?”

“Of course, I have to,” you say.

Kitten grunts, cuddling up on you further. “Well, at least we have each other for the night.”

You smile, stroking her cheek with the back of your hand. Smooth as silk. “Get some sleep, Kitten. We’ve got a hell of a day ahead of us.”

“Alright, Trudy.”

So, next thread or the one after the battle, we have some purchases to make.

We need to call Perrine, let her know we want her to convert the S35. She'll get the cash through Mr. Mishka whom we also need to call.

We need to have the Panther converted so we have a tank available for Needlepoint, assuming CHT wants another 120mm Short Barrel.

We need to Comp. Spec the M4A3 as soon as we come into the money. It's better in that condition for practice.

We can hold off on the T-34 and pretty well every other tank in our lineup until our next match is announced or we set up another practice one.
We still need to keep an eye out for more good tanks until we hit 20, with or without the Chi-Ha, so saving money is good.
>>
>>31171401
This is going to be one strange tank fight
>>
>>31171440
We have the money to Comp. Spec the M4A3.

As for the Panther, I guess we can get it up and running, not really comfortable letting Sewing Club use it but if it's only for a week.

We really need get Nancy to set up Practice matches for us once we hit Australia
>>
>>31171580
We have a broken down Sherman.

We had tanks known for their reliability break down because we don't comp.spec it.
>>
>>31171580
You missed with your name and trip.

>>
>>31171619

Probably make a new one.
No, it is actually my birth year
>>
>>31171619
Is being 20 a bad thing now? Or do you mean it's stupid using your birthyear for anything related to security?
>>
>>31171654
The Way, That was you?

How do you think of our plan for Chi-ha-tan?
>>
>>31171666
The latter, definitely. It's not even basic security 101, that's basic security 54 we (oughta) teach toddlers and children.

As for your first question & >>31171654 my condolences. Shouldn't someone be changing your diapers and washing your binky and bottles?
>>
>>31171672
Probably work. If you send the fast tanks across first and secure a beach head, the mediums move in and reinforce it, then the heavies provide over watch with their bigger guns from your side before moving over the bridge when it's cleared up

>>31171745
You've got a point.
>>
>>31171859
That's what we did with Willaim Adams though?

What makes this any difference Map wise, etc
>>
>>31172049
Did we? I recall the plan was to sit on a hill and let them charge at us, and then retreat into town.
>>
>>31172071
We needed to secure the town though, which we did not.

The ace tanker managed to catch them
>>
>>31172071
Hold on, that was the first match.
WA we had crappy tanks and because of this the original plan was to let them cross the bridge into our guns.
But then some anons decided to swing the votes and push into the town.

>>31172102
The fact that it came down to the Aces wasn't too good. Compared to the last match we had, it was a shit show.
Last match people followed the plan (relatively), and it didn't come down to the Aces saving us.
>>
>>31172128
We should play defensively, we stick to our side of the bridge and stick under cover. Maybe radio bombardments from our artillery.

Also quick question, which is better Cast Armor of Wielded Armor for the M4 Sherman.
>>
>>31172175
Cast armor should be, in theory, a stronger, more cohesive piece of armor without any of the obvious faults of welded hulls (like, say, inefficient or subpar welding along the seams).

Nominally casting reduces weight while improving overall strength as there aren't any seams or joints that could be exploited.
>>
>>31172274
So the M4A1 is better then the M4A3/Easy Eight?
>>
>>31172373

The cupid is already fitted with the 76mm gun.

We're already an E8 for all intents and purposes.
>>
>>31172393
I see, so how about a Grizzly, I heard it was an improved M4A1, maybe we can go for that.
>>
>>31172373
The GAA in the M4A3 had a higher P/W than the M4A1.
Can manage about 5 miles per hour more for longer because it doesn't overheat
>>
>>31172411
So, we exchange protection for range?
>>
>>31172408

Grizzly's a Canadian produced Sherman with the 75mm gun.

It'll be a downgrade at this point.
>>
>>31172453

Well we can apply an engine upgrade the Cupid in the future. It'll be fine.
>>
>>31172453
It's unlikely the difference between cast and welded hulls will come into play.

We want whatever variant gets us the most sustainable horsepower, which will probably be a diesel variant producing lots of torque.
>>
>>31172453
Or speed. Really, the welded hulls were used because they were easier to produce.
IRL the German heavies and Russian tanks weren't as hot shit as they are made out to be on History Channel.
But in this world, matches only last a couple hours and maintenance is assured between the matches as well as spare parts.
So expensive resource intensive tanks should be the ones that are the most useful due to the fact that your battles aren't back to back and you have the supplies required to maintain them.
>>
>>31172539
So Which is better, Should we keep the M4A1 to get the Easy 8?

Also is the Grizzly an improved M4A1?
>>
>>31172522
Yeah, the Diesel has a pretty nice powerband
>>
The difference is small enough that until we have the option to Elite it, we should consider our Sherman to be as good as it's going to get.

We're working on limited time, we need to spend our money efficiently. There are much higher priorities then to squeeze a bit more speed or armour into an already great tank.
>>
>>31172593

Refer to: >>31172488

>>31172622

Agreed, we need to fill out our lineup first.
>>
>>31172593
Depends on if you want to spend money on something that will give you a marginal advantage.
>>
>>31172622
Well, it's a pretty average tank...

The US made it great because we had way more of them than the krauts did theirs.

Volume has a (more important) quality all on its own.

I wish the autists who had a spergfit at the Pershing...didn't. That would be a nice tank to have right now. Hard to argue with the 90mm M3 and around 100mm of well sloped frontal protection.
>>
>>31172692
>I wish the autists who had a spergfit at the Pershing...didn't.
Yeah, that mad me sad when it was voted away.
It's probably been deformed by Perrine
>>
>>31172691
Fair enough, only reason I heard you can install a 17 pounder on it but I'm not sure if that is better.

>>31172692
We made a lot of money out of it, and created our HQ, it was worth it
>>
>>31172692

The aces were kind of right though.

Still we sold it away for cash that we needed and turned a profit.
>>
>>31172692
We'd be 50k down right now if we hadn't sold it.

Yes we could have made the money back in other ways and manners but we need that money.
>>
>>31172740
You know it was a jab at the other quest right?
>>
>>31172728
Well we get the m36b1 Jackson out of the deal so we still have the 90mm M3.

My Autism is still crying for the double panther though but we got the Jackson for it so it's not so bad.
>>
>>31172779
Was that Model Tankery Illegal though?
>>
>>31172788

We're changing it to the TD?
>>
>>31172771
Advocating here and now we start shopping around for another (tankery legal this time) M26 we can buy using a GSA chit.

It'd be the bee's knees.

What would be neat is a command variant for Trudy & Pals. Too bad we're not in Modern and can ride around in a T-80UK.
>>
>>31172831
That was the point in buying it.

So we can get the FireFly and the Jackson.

>>31172835
We're getting a lot of heavies though.
>>
>>31172831
