Hello again /tg/

Some of you have already seen this and are already sick of it, but for anyone who's interested, I recently made a very simple RPG for roleplaying (mostly fighting) with Lego minifigs, using the special Lego d6. It's set in the universe of Spaceman of Futuron, but you can use whatever setting you want.

People seemed to like it, so I hope you have fun with it!

The pdf file is the image next to this post.

Honestly, I'm kind of disappointed that Brickwars is pretty much the only generalist Lego wargame out there.

I mean, sure, the rulebook is a fun read, and the game itself in the right environment, but it plays so fast and loose with its own rules that it's barely one step above moving your dudes around with sticks and making "pew pew" noises.

Once you were but an orphan child on the streets of New Jerusalem, but that was years ago, before the Empire raised you from poverty to the ranks of its most feared and lethal assassins!

Your mission complete, an unexpected second assignment was issued, to slay both of the M-Tron ambassadors at the same gathering! Your dark work, however, was not as simple as it seemed, for as you were soon to learn, the suite of the M-Tron was set upon by the Space Police, attack-dogs of the Empire! All inside were seemingly slaughtered, a fate that you were intended to share!

Narrowly escaping the burners of the Space Police, you learned that not all had been slain, for one of the M-Tron ambassadors had survived the killing! Together with the M-Tron Ionicus, you fled the planet for nearby New Jerusalem, city of your birth, to being to unravel the mystery of your attempted termination!

There, in the cantina of Boston Texas, the one being in New Jersusalem to have paid you kindness in your raw childhood, you learned that Ionicus had been framed for the murder of the Circuit-Men's Prime Minister!

Before you could secure a disguise for Ionicus, he was accosted by the savage and half-crazed Yoren of Futuron, a derelict warrior seeking to burn out in a blaze of glory! Only too happy to accompany you on your quest of vengeance, Yoren quickly pledged his burner to your cause!

Amidst the teeming crowded market of the low city, you discovered that years ago, an orchestrated effort had been carried out by the Empire to sift through the throngs of orphanlings and take certain youths back with them to the stars, a plot made possible with collusion from High Lord Enir, criminal ruler of New Jerusalem's seedy underworld! Delving even more deeply, rumors began to surface that the death of the Prime Minister and the framing of Ionicus were part of a conspiracy hatched to drive the relentless Circuit-Men to make war on the hapless clans of the M-Tron!

Infiltrating the High Lord's den of gambling and hedonism, you sought an unbidden audience with the ancient criminal to learn the identity of the Imperials who orchestrated your induction into the black trade of assassination, only to discover that someone had murdered Enir before he could reveal what he knew of your past!

With his dying breaths, he revealed that your dark master had planned your demise, fearing that you were becoming disloyal, and furthermore that the High Lord of New Jerusalem had been slain to prevent you from learning the identity of the one whose hand guided the both of you!

Fleeing ahead of whitehats, Space Police, and any other assassins, you fled New Jerusalem with Yoren, Ionicus, and your Benson android - the first casualty of your band's struggle, for the robot's cranial unit was damaged in a fray on the faded durablate of New Jerusalem's lone spaceport!

With no other leads, you pressed into the far reaches of the vacuum, beyond the last vestiges of Imperial outposts, seeking out the strange clans of Ionicus's race, for there might you catch the trail of the villain responsible for orchestrating the rumblings of war 'twixt the Circuit-Men and the M-Tron!

"Fortunes looks well upon us, friend," Ionicus beckons as he consults his transcoder, now recently receiving signal-hails from the beacon somewhere in the blackness ahead. "We are in the realm of Dipolus, my kinsman, and will thus be well-met."

Despite his charitable outlook, you are not as certain, for word of Ionicus's supposed deeds amidst the chambered stone halls of Oasis may have yet reached this far-flung colony. As you brood, your ship's communicator leaps to life, as a guardian ahead demands to know the identity of your ship and crew!

To admit that you carry the wanted M-Tron ambassador may prove a boon among his kind, or a terrible yoke! Despite his garment of Imperial make, Ionicus's face will be instantly recognized as kinsman, and left to cower in your ship he will surely expire, for the Needle's provisions of food and air are critically low, spent leavings of your long and desperate trek through uncharted space to reach the airless lands of the M-Tron!

Do you keep all the images from past Lego Quests or do you delete them a while after? Do you keep the images from really popular ones (e.g. the very first Spaceman adventure) and discard ones from less popular adventures (some of the Endman ones, that sequel to BLOCKOUT you mentioned)?

As Ionicus finishes his tale, Yoren asks from his place on a mat where his burner has been laid out before him in the ancient Futuron ritual of cleaning, "What of your women? The vaunted ladies of your kind are more fleeting than the shaded eyes of yon roguish battle-captain!"

"Our women are cloistered, and no outsiders may look upon them, for such a thing is the gravest taboo," Ionicus counters. "Even one such as I am allowed only to see their presence on holidays, for the wives of an M-Tron are held more closely than even our precious magnetronium!"

Trust the Futuron to consider the women.
That means that we can't disguise though, we'd be found out immediately. Unless we managed to sneak into where all the M-tronian girls are.

"Perhaps you are correct, rogue," Yoren says, holding the reassembled burner aloft and aiming it forth, sending Ionicus scurrying out of its vector. "These conspirings often revolve around women, for ever does their lure bedevil the minds of men!"

Satisfied that the Space Police's burner will serve his need, Yoren looks between you and the fugitive Ionicus. "Do you aim to have secret words with the women of the M-Tron, despite our friend's protestations of sacrilege, or shall we go to the den of Graviticus and Photicles now that yonder singleton is suitably focused?"

There was one, once. /tg/ occasionally has these periods where we have a handful of Bionicle threads, each one hot-on-the-heels of its predecesor, then people get bored of it and there's no Bionicle threads for a while.

During one of these a guy put together a little system for Matoran adventures, then ran a quest with it. However, the Bionicle hype seemed to have died down and it wasn't very popular: it only ran for two or three threads.

We were an Onu-Matoran miner with a pet crab. We got into a fight with one of the black mini-bohroks who was like trying to be a good guy but went mad or something. Here's the image I made of the main character though.

I suppose it's a little of A, and a little of B.

Some games fizzle out because I end up painting myself into a corner on account of just having a vague idea for the start of a game (Prisoner Quest, West Quest). The aborted BLOCKOUT sequel died on the vine because nobody was posting, although as soon as I switched to Davey Bree's Noodle Quest a bunch of players showed up in the thread, so who knows how that could have turned out if I had waited another hour before starting the thread.

The best games are the ones where I don't have a clue what's going on and just let player supposition write the story.
