Well, I haven't really seen anything like this on TG, so I might as well start something like this.

You are a commoner.

You're not a knight, you're not a hero, not even a soldier.

You are a common peasant and it's up to you to see if you stay at the bottom or get up on the top.

You are a human male called John and you live in a small village by yourself and your dog, Belix. You are a simple farmer who has a small farm that does a little fishing on the side. It's your day off today...

>Go to the bar.
>Stay home.
>Go and find some work.

>>

you decide that maybe getting a little bit more money under your belt would be a better idea.
---
"Ah, John, here for some work are ya?"

An old man in a red vest sits up from his wooden rocking chair and fumbles around in his satchel.

"What kinda work you lookin fer?"

>"Dangerous work"
>"Challenging work"
>"Anything that can get my pockets a little heavier."
>>
>>31352597
>>"Anything that can get my pockets a little heavier."
>>
>>31352771
The old man nods a bit before pulling out a small flyer and giving it to you.

"Y'know, you ought to apply for the Red Workers. Pays pretty good and you can get out into the world."

The Red Workers are is a very large company that sends workers to places that need workers fast for projects or to fill up spaces till permanent workers can be found. It can get dangerous because many companies think that they're just cheap labor, like fixing gas leaks or even doing small exterminations of monsters that are deemed too smalll for the local guard to run around to deal with.

You take the flyer and open it...

>WANTED: Strong MAN that can till the field for harvesting season. Will pay 20 gold up front and 20 more when the job is done.

Well, it isn't fancy or anything, but it pays well. It seems that the farm is about five miles away from the village and the farmer that works there has a very bad back now a days. You know he can pay and he seems pretty nice.

It looks like he wants you to come tommorrow, so it gives you enough time to walk around and enjoy the day.

>Go to bar.
>Go back home.

Very well.

You decide that you're going to head back home and hand out with your dog.

---

After a good hour of walking, you find yourself in front of your house. It's okay for a peasant house, the roof looks like it needs some repairs, but it looks okay.

You head inside and find your dog getting up to greet you.

"Hey Belix, how you doin?"

Belix wags his tail and paws at the ground and looks back up at you. It looks like he wants to play.

>"Want the stick boy? Go get the stick!
>"No, I gotta get some rest for tomorrow."

Gonna choose this as the tie breaker here.

"Sorry Belix, I gotta get ready for tomorrow. Maybe when I get back I can get you a good bone to chew on."

Belix's tail stops wagging and his head looks up at you before whining a bit before walking away.

>Skiping past the resting part to the next day.

you get up extra early and begin to walk towards the farm.

You begin to walk...

>>
>>31354588
>>31354567
You try to keep your distance as the wolf just limps along. You notice that it looks like it just gave up. As you walk along, you hear one last howl before looking back to see the wolf on its side.

You make it to the farm and see that the farmer is trying to make his way out of his home to greet you. He is a plump fellow with a walking cane.

"Ah, came for the job eh? Well, the tools are in the shed over yonder. I got yer 20 gold here before you start working. Ma wife n daughters will give you some food when lunch comes round."

You look over at the shed and begin to walk that way.

---

The work is hard, made that way by the hot sun above. Finally you hear the bell to break away from work. Three women walk out of the house and beckon you inside. It seems they're serving some beef soup.

"Well John, how's the work treatin ya?"

>Good, it's nice to help out.

"Let's get out of here or the elf lover would start talking about how we're the bad guys."

The kids start to walk away and you see the wolf limp towards you.

"You'll be alright. You'll... What this then?"

Another set of farmers tackles the women to the ground.

"Get out of here boy! We'll keep 'em here!"

"Thank you!"

You jump over the dog pile of farmers and start to run for your home.

---

You get home to see Belix sharing a lot of your fear. The wolf also seems to be distraught.

>Let's get out of town, shall we?
>It'll blow over... Right?

How do we deal with this obviously were going to get blamed for kidnapping this wolf if we get caught
>>
>>31357055
We need to run back to that nice farmer's house, the one we worked for earlier.

Take doge with us. Hide any valuables in house someplace else.

Let's get out of here. Grab our valuables and whatever food we've got and run off with Belix and our new royal wolf buddy. I think we should head for the farm we did work for earlier?

After a few minutes of packing, you begin to hear people running to your house.

"John, ya'd better be gone or headin out by now!"

"I am now! Why're you back here?"

You see a larger man run up to you, trying to catch his breath.

"The Dragon Corp are lookin fer ya. That wasn't just any old member, that was a captain! The bastard's goin ta tear the whole village lookin fer ya!"

"WHY?!"

"I dun know, but you need to skip town. We've already decided to make sure that they can't track ya, but you can't stay here. I'm sorry lad, but you''d be killin everyone here."

It doesn't look like you're going to be staying...

>What now?

Are there woods? If so, run off into them.

If not, run through the longest stretch of fields we can, with both dog and wolf, come out other side, and continue running.

Also, bring the best real/makeshift weapon we can find.
>>
>>31357243
Head into the forest and live off the land.
>>
>>31357243
Don't take the main road.

Go over country, travel light. We have 43 gp, we'll need to strike out for the next town over.
>>
>>31357243

Leave and head for the farmer's house we helped earlier, but before we do let's set our house on fire and try to make it look like somebody else got to us first. We don't want our farmer buddies getting targeted for helping us, let's try to play it off like we've been totally fucked.
>>
>>31357319
No, don't burn your house down and don't get them in trouble
>>

You begin to run with the wolf and Belix. You take one last look at your home and start to run.

You look back after an hour of running and see that the Dragon Corp decided that their word was not an honorable word and began to burn the village down. You feel a small tear trickle down your face as you head into the forest.

END OF QUEST 1

Give thanks for all they've done til now, tell 'em not to worry and that we'll be back someday. It just isn't right for these people to walk in and trample simple peasants minding their own business.
