Notes on Rolls and Voting:

When I request rolls, each set of three rolls counts for one action. For example, a two-step plan would take the first 6 linked rolls. A particularly bad failure can interrupt a string of actions.

When rolling 1d100, I will consider criticals within the first ten linked rolls. Only criticals that occur in the first three rolls will be counted as "supercrits". This is still the case even if you'd have plan long enough to require more than ten rolls.

When rolling 1d20, the rules are the same, but I only consider criticals for the first five rolls, rather than ten. Criticals in the first three are still "supercrits".

When a plot choice results in extensive debate, I'll try to weed out the most popular trains of thought, and then call a vote on them. When voting, please respond with only a link back to the post and the number corresponding to your opinion. Other votes are discounted, including those with dice rolls or extra spaces.

Finally, note that this is not a democracy; it is a benevolent dictatorship.

Recent Events Summary:

Fang - having picked up on a few tells - deduced that the Black Lady was in fact Melody. Both of them revealed their true feelings, good and bad. Ultimately, they reconciled, and rediscovered something they had believed lost.

Later, you met with Auriel. Hecate agreed to take her to see Donovan within his dream, though things between them aren't particularly peachy. While they were gone, you had a strange conversation with Adavan, in which he implied that Hecate's goals might not align with your own. You also learned that Hecate can hear any nearby telepathic speech, reguardless of if it was directed only at particular persons or not.

Auriel informed you that while Charmeine is stuck in her position as a moderate influence within the Ring City, the more enigmatic Raphael wants to speak with you the following morning. In the meantime, you're going to see Fang and cook up some airship-related trouble for Kan-Abar's forces.

Duke Vellik was also meeting with Fang; he apparently wanted to retrieve a few undisclosed items from a secret cashe outside Evinbrook. You broke into and pocketed the Bolt, one of Kelvere's airships, which created quite a distraction. After leaving an illusory army behind to fool the demon lord, you're gliding back to rondevouz with the duke on the other side of the river.

The duke revealed that he'd saved three empty dynamo shells. By working with Steward, you were able to charge up three dynamos with the Shadow element using the Shadow mana pool at Haven, along with a chunk of your own life force. In exchange for charging them, you kept one of them for yourself.

You're now on the walk around the Dobshire training grounds, watching Joey and Raphael practice.

Rolling to consume Joey.

You decide to hold onto the core for now. You can always consume it later, and it might prove very useful in a pinch.

You head through the castle until you reach the door to the upper wood walkway that boarders the training grounds. You step out onto the planks, running a hand down the rail as you go. The training grounds are almost empty - Arland is mobilizing. Most of the knights already returned home and are marching to Vischon with their gathered forces.

But there is a young boy there, hacking at a training dummy. And an angel.

Raphael is a tall man, and obviously muscular. The feathers of his wings are a slight gold, and are tucked firmly behind his back. His hair is a bright blonde.

"It's a slice, boy, not a swing! A slice!" Raphael has his own sword in hand, a thin edge of steel about three feet long. He waves Joey off with a hand and steps in front of the dummy. "Don't cut -into- your enemy, per se. Cut across him. Slice at him. Slide the blade along the surface to be cut." Raphael pivots on a foot, sliding his blade along the wood in an exaggerate curving motion. "The proper slice extends the length upon which you cut. A sword cuts best in a smooth, straight motion. It's not an axe, it's not for chopping. Do it slowly. Perfect the motion. Speed comes later."

"Yes sir."

"Alright. Now show me."

Joey takes his time, and his motion improves dramatically. He's obviously been practicing. He just doesn't have it all quite down, yet.

Ahead of you, leaning on the railing, is a woman - a young girl. Her skin is dark, heavily tanned, in a appearance, though tinged with an odd blue hue. You can almost smell an ocean on her, and her spirit is a strong orb of Water. The prince's cousin, Uluad Deva.

You're curious about her, but you came here to talk to Raphael. You hop over the railing and land in the dusty training yard.

Rolling to consume you.
>>
Joey is focused on his practice, and doesn't notice you come up. Raphael turns his head. You meet his eyes. There's a long silence.

Joey's sword thumps into the wood. "Damn." He puts a foot on the dummy and tugs it free. The action sends him stumbling backwards. You catch him before he falls over.

"Whoa. Thank you, si - oh, Sh - John!"

"Hey Joey. How's the swordwork coming?"

"It's coming, I guess," Joey says. "Practice makes perfect."

You look back at Raphael. "Auriel had said you wished to speak to me."

"Mmm." He gestures toward a lonely corner of the training yard. "Keep it up, boy."

"Yes sir." Joey goes back to work.

Raphael leads you to a patch of tramped grass. His soul is Light - pure light, no other elements. He folds his arms. "Auriel wouldn't tell me who you are, exactly. But she seems to trust you. I never thought I would live to see the day when Auriel Carpenter considered someone of your element a close friend."

"First time for everything."

"Yeah," he says. "There is. But I was there, with Charmeine, when we found her. Half-starved. Broken." He turns to face you. "Imagine that, Nyx. Captain Auriel Lightchosen, a shattered mess of a human. You'd never think it."

"...I wouldn't. She's strong."

"She earned it," he says. "A lot of people are born lucky. Some have talent, or they come from noble stock. Maybe they're good at manipulating other people, better in their studies, or physically stronger. They coast to the top, like Lucifer, like Sandalphon. Like Yi Fang and Duke Vellik. But Auriel and I aren't like that. Myself, maybe less so. I am the 4th Highest for my blood, sweat, and tears. Good old fashioned hard work.

"I don't really have time to get to know you," Raphael adds, "but I'm curious. You appeared from nowhere. What type are you? A manipulator, like Lucifer? Or just someone with power, like the Most High?"

"I was born with potential," you say. "What I've become is my own doing. You can label me however you'd like."

"That's it?" Raphael asks.

"That's it. I'm friends with Auriel because I have an agreeable viewpoint, and I showed her I was worth trusting. She wouldn't have listened to me unless she'd already had those concerns herself."

"What would those be?"

"That Sandalphon, in arrogance born either of time or power, has lost the original good purpose of the angels, and the Ring City."

"She said as much. In more words than you, but more or less the same thing. Even Charmeine is upset with him. But she can't leave. Her leaving would split the city."

"Do you disagree with what Auriel did?"

"There are forums for voicing disagreement," Raphael says. "Channels through which to speak. She is the 5th Highest, and she went and stole the Noiralev."

"Do you really think Sandalphon would have listened?" you ask him. "Holding Shadow mages as slaves? Turning the empire into a dicatorship? Do you think he would have shrugged and said 'yes, you're right'? Because I don't."

"Since you've got it all figured out," he says, "or, at least, you've convinced half the world that you've got it figured out - after the war, what are you going to do?"

So... why not instead say,
"And if I can fix the damage on the core of the world, I want to try to make this world more accepting of its peoples. Something greater than tolerance, though a complete peace would be stretching it."

"Auriel told me you are the steward of the city."

"Correct. I'm a numbers man. I was logistics back in the war, and now I'm logistics in this war. And in-between them, too." He shrugs. "A lot of people don't like that job, but it's nice, holding everyone up. And my office chair is exceptionally comfortable."

"So, after the war..."

"I'll just keep doing what I've been doing," Raphael says. "Set things up so that they run smoothly on their own, and read."

"No higher motivations than that? You don't fight for anyone?"

Raphael smiles. "She died a long time ago. She was mortal. It's nothing you need to concern yourself with. We've all gotten over that aspect of our blessing."

"Hyperion?" Raphael says. "He was a god. He was immensely strong. He had a sure and true vision of justice. And he loved his people. But..." Raphael frowns. "...perhaps that love bore the fruit of paranoia. It remains a matter of debate if Erebus directed the Black Hand personally, but Hyperion always held him responsible for the damage inflicted upon us, the lives that were taken." He looks at you. "Be careful. When they say love is the strongest force in the world, they're right." He turns and starts walking back toward Joey. "Until later, Nyx."

It's about 8 in the morning. The sun is just peeking over the walls of the castle town. There's not a cloud in the sky.

>meditate all shards to MAXIMUM POWER
>talk to Abigail about Hecate and her worrisome motivations

Something that I can't believe wasn't set up before for this --

Hey guys.

Now, this is going to sound fucking crazy. Because it is. But I'm going into this explanation with the idea that the chronomancy is a back up plan.

Melody knows a lot about teleportation, right? So maybe try to get her to create a place where you can't teleport to or out of after a certain spell activation. And have Adavan shield that place, as well.

Then pocket a demon lord and teleport it to the place where the others can't get it via teleport and then fight it one on one after we unpocket it! With our allies help, too! That way there's no risk of the Sigil business!

Best plan ever, right?
>>
I just saw this in the archives
>You dance back lightly on your shadows. Auriel's wings snap taut, ready to propel her across the ground in another charge. Her sword spins a foot away from her hand, controlled by telepathy - and it moves faster than any arm could swing it.

All I can say is "what?"
>>
>>31354540
After what happened to the Bolt, I think it's a safe bet that the Kanian airships are going to be packed full of demons to detect any more intruders.
>>
>>31354420
Could we go to Xile to collect parts?
>>
>>31354540
> don't want them on too high alert.
the alternative is allowing them to be significantly more powerful than they otherwise could be.

stealing as many as possible at once will, in fact, prevent them from going on high alert before the job is already done.
>>
>>31354579

Like I said, I'm fine with taking one more ship. Any more, naw. This next trip is probably already going to have a new challenge to it. We might need to take backup. Like Abby and her bitchen new armor.

That depends on whether the theoretical anti-teleportation spell even exists. Knowing SM, he'd keep it from happening to keep the plot on the rails.
>>
>>31354529

>>
>>31354685

>>
>>31354685

I assumed those were other pools.
>>
>>31354676
10 Servants
3 Chosen
1 Arbiter
>>
>>31354589
If we want to fight one of the demon lords 1 on 1 we'd have to have power fighters fighting every other demon lord at the same time, because they can teleport to each other they can use it as offensively as they could defensively.

A lord in trouble? here comes another one! or perhaps it just teleports ITSELF to another demon lord when it's in trouble.

Currently I'm not sure if that's, y'know, possible.
>>
>>31354715
Hence the point of the anti-teleportation spell.
>>
You head down through the castle. You need to talk to Abigail about Hecate - especially about that whole telepathy thing. That has you a bit on edge.

Hecate is more...different...than you realized. Were you like that, before? So...flat?

That, and you want to see if Ila found anything useful about Waterford. The lord is clearly on Sandalphon's side. If you can put him behind bars, that would remove what could be an obstacle later on.

You reach the depths of the castle, and knock on Abigail and Ila's room, once, twice, three times.

No answer.

You knock again. After a moment, you grasp the knob and slowly open the door. The room is as you remember it - covered in hangings and pillows and blankets in a multicolor display of comfort. But this morning, the beds are neatly made, and neither of them are home.

Hmm.

You head upstairs to Auriel's suite. You knock on the door. No answer.

"Auriel! Are you in?" You try to open her door, but it's locked. You don't sense anyone on the inside, anyway.

Where has everyone gone?

>con't

Remember that arrow spell Vellik made when we fight the first demon lord? Think we can somehow combine that with hypersonic and break the speed of light to drive a hole thought.... anything?

A flicker of Earth makes you turn. Valeria Kavanere is walking toward you. She waves cheerily. <Shadow. I'm glad I found you. The girls wanted me to tell you that they'd be training on the Nemesis today. Auriel seems quite bent on preparing herself before the battle. It's out on patrol near the border.>

You slip into telepathy, matching her own greeting. <Oh. Right. What are you up to?>

<I've been trying to make contact with my cousin,> she says. <I don't think they'll be able to offer us support in this battle, but going forward, the elves will have to show their face to the world once more. I feel like Venia seems a bit smaller, of late.>

<Me too.>

<Well, until later.> She steps away and disappears around a corner.

Well, you could try to track down the Nemesis. If Tyrael or Hamil are around, they might be able to give you a better heading.

Then again, maybe you should just attend to your own business and speak with them in the evening.

You speak with Arcturis regarding the location of enemy airships, and inform him of the return of the Bolt to the duke's control. It turns out he was informed of it during is morning briefing, but thanks you for the intelligence anyway.

He tells you that of the seven airships still under enemy control, two of them are above Evinbrook, three last seen near Kan-Abar, and two others on patrol near the Arland-Kelvere border. He also gives you descriptions of the various airships, so you should be able to tell them apart on sight.

I can't wait until the Venia Times comes along to try to get an interview with Shadow. That's gonna be fun. And hopefully there aren't too many disingenuous assertions being thrown around.

You fly to the Arland border and begin a wide sweep.

It's slow going. Even with a small search zone, you can't be too bold. You stay cautious, keeping an altitude low enough to land easily and evade the Skysever. You've been flying a lot the past few days - it's really starting to pick up on your presence faster.

As the hours pass, the lack of results starts to frustrate you. You move a bit deeper into enemy territory, and search along the top of the Evinbrook basin. By the time you spot an airship, the sun has crossed the sky.

Above you is a fat, squat airship. It reminds you of the Bolt, but it's a little larger - much more heavily armored. Rather than bristling with many smaller types of guns, it has a few positioned on its underbelly, and one large, massive cannon that dominates the top of its fuselage. This is te Incision, a long-range gunship powered by a Water dynamo.

How do you approach?

>assault: fly up and pocket it

Ink into one of the guns and come out on the loading end!
>>
>>31355625
presumably just going on top of the airship would solve that problem entirely.
>>
>>31355632
Aren't these things loaded with magic? If we ink into the gun barrel we'll just go straight to the dynamo powering it, dummy.
>>
>>31355625
Just approach from the top, right next to the big gun. The underbelly guns can't hit the top, and the big gun would have to take time to swivel and hit us.
>>
>>31355666
I thought that maybe we wanted to, yes?
>>
So how many dynamos does the Nemesis have right now?

>Shadow
>Wind
>Lightning
Any more?
>>
Can't stick around, but felt like mentioning something about this bit from last thread:

> Steward stares at the dynamo. "...life energy. I see. Charge the others."

>The only time you've seen him hesitate like this was when you suggested that 002 ultimately had to die to secure Va'ad's future - which means that the dynamo housing question is bothering him quite a bit...

>"Let me know when you do," you say. "I feel as though the dynamo problem has something to do with the Core of Venia itself. Solving one problem might give us a workable solution for the other."

>"That," Steward says, "is what I am afraid of."

I'm a little worried that dynamo shells are a product of blood magic.

>In the core of the bottom of the island lies [...] a fierce, rotating sphere of wind. That wind dwarfs its distant cousin. The core of the Skysever.
(Or at least the Sky Engine was, and thus the attempts to duplicate it in miniature as Dynamos were as well.)

Dynamo energy is a combination of Mana and 'life energy' emulating the structure of a soul. As evidenced by our last attempt, the 'life energy' isn't necessarily required until the final step, to stabilize the already mostly-complete Dynamo.

Humans are similarly "shells" of Order containing "souls" of mana.

Blood magic requires the sacrifice of mages' souls, but all of it that we've seen so far seems related to the use of that soul-stuff as energy (angels' Soul Nova thing), or binding energy to a focus to maintain a designated magic (lichdom, the Skysever, the Black Hand Amalgam,) both of which are relevant to Dynamo construction. The Black Hand creature even went as far as specifically using a dynamo casing to contain its focus.

Could be wrong, but if not, it's worth looking into alternatives.
>>
You decide that stealth is the best approach. No need to give yourself away by tampering with the ship's shielding.

You fly into the airship's path. It slowly soars over you. You don't see any windows, but the guns are their own openings, aren't they?

You cling onto the barrel of a gun as the ship flies by. Your body turns to liquid and slides down the tube, but unfortunately, a tightly packed mass of wires impedes your progress. You can feel that they serve to feed magic from the dynamo up to the gun itself. Hopefully they aren't planning on firing at anything.

What do you do?

>tear through the wiring to try to get access into the ship
>find another way in
>some other strategy
>>
>>31355705
We could just use animals like Adavan did.
>>
I just thought of something to try with the Shadow Dynamo we made.

>Make or ask Steward to make a remote shielding station thing
>Integrate it into the Nemesis so it gets the Artifact buff
>Dock the Archon fleet in the Nemesis and have the Shadow Dynamo power their shielding.

Then when we give the fleet back, we can just reroute the power from the shielding station to something else, like the teleporter.
>>
>>31355720
could compress work or would we still be impeded
>>
>>31355720
>tear through the wiring to try to get access into the ship

Time to go mana swimming. Shits getting fed to our airship anyway, who cares if we break a few wires/.
>>
>>31355720

>>
>>31355720
>tear through the wiring to try to get access into the ship
>>
>>31355720
Don't tear through the wiring.

Just try to push the smallest needle spindle of shadow through and then Blink the second we can.
>>
>>31355705
>alternatives

>>
>>31355720
Well you know what the best answer is.

CONSUME THE WIRES AS IF THEY WERE MANA INFUSED SPAGHETTI

WHICH, THEY IN FACT; ARE!
>>
>>31355720
Tearing through the wires will probably set off an alert. This defeats the whole point of the stealth approach. I still say we land on top of big gun, 420nightblazeit, and pocket.
>>
>>31355720
how the hell do people get in and out? or aim?

shadowmeld, ink through the doors.
>>
>>31355787

This gives me an idea. Spirit siphon the wires. They might send a mechanic to see what the fuck is going on with the main cannon.
>>
>>31355705
>>"That," Steward says, "is what I am afraid of."

Calling it now. Erebus was going to rip the order from the bodies of every living being on Venia and use it to patch the core.
>>
>>31355805

You aren't inside the gun nest yet; rather, toward the end of the barrel itself.

Alright, we'll gently poke and bite our way through the wires.
>>
>>31355828

Seconding. We can shadowmeld/blink past them when they come.
>>

Erebus's explicit plan was the END of chaos, not its containment.

Cutting through the wires by force might overplay your hand. You use a low-power Spirit Siphon to drain mana from them. Maybe that will send someone to investigate.

Orange light flickers and plays out from you, latching onto the cables. Your don't successfully absorb the mana yourself, but you feel the power of the gun decrease significantly.

>mana: 71/76

A minute passes. You hear footsteps. A metal door creaks open.

More noises. Tapping. You sense a human just nearby. That must be the gun nest.

A latch flicks right at your side. Light shines into your compartment. A man peers at the wires. "...what the hell...?"

A tendril of shadow leaps from your liquid form and stabs the man through an eye. You lift him up, then throw him down onto the floor, ripping a gash in his face. His corpse drops dead.

You slide out from the barrel compartment and into the gun nest.

What do you do now?

>head for the engine. No need to fix a strategy that isn't broken.

You quickly consume the man to remove the evidence. He doesn't provide you with much energy, but he does provide you with a disguise. You steadily morph into his spitting image. You say a few words aloud, modulating your speaking 'tube' a bit until you have his voice down pat. You suppress your aura as much as possible - he was just an average man, so you really shouldn't feel like anything. Simple enough.

Clad as an airship engineer, you move along the steel hallways, keeping an eye on your surroundings. The engine is located below decks, as usual. You're getting a feel for the general idea of airship construction. You start looking around for a stairwell.

You see a sign for one, and turn. The door to the stairs is blocked by two men, chatting idly. They wear soldier uniforms, slightly different than the ones you're used to. Must be for the navy.

You walk by the soldiers. You're an engineer. You're supposed to be here.

One of them moves aside to let you through to the stairwell. You grin as you start down the steps. They didn't even look at you.

You find the entrance to the dynamo room down below. The air is cast with a metallic chill. Blue light flickers and dances on the walls like the reflection of a pool. The Water dynamo is quieter than you'd otherwise expect. The sensation of rapids rolls against your senses, but it isn't unpleasant - not like the either Lightning, anyway, that stabbed like pins and needles.

Inside the room are two others in uniforms like yours, positioned at the engine's control console. A mage is leaning against the wall nearby.

A tall, spindly demon in ratty grey robes is standing next to the mage. If you took one of the fat Imps, and stretched it out, it would look like this thing. And it feels the same - Wind and Lightning.

But it's stronger. A whole lot stronger.

You edge just around the corner enough to bring the demon into your line of sight.

You Blink. Your maw opens.

>mana: 67/76

The demon looks up.

You descend upon it, a gaping vortex of power, and engulf its head. Its body flails as you engulf it like Ink, devouring it head-down. In just an instant, you've shredded it into its component parts and consumed it before it even had a chance to dissipate.

>you've gained 5 EXP (19)

A stalagmite of steel slams into you. You're driven into the wall, split in half by the magic strike. Your head rings.

>you've taken 5 damage (HP: 76/81)

The mage already has two more stalagmites prepared for throwing. One engineer is running for the back or the room. The other is going for a wall-mounted alarm.

What do you do?

But also.

Very far. Not nonexistent.

Sandalphon believes Hyperion is just in the Nether, and can be resummoned just like any demon can.

But yet you can't bring ordinary mortals back from the dead? Their souls return to the Nether and just sorta. dissolve into the ambient Chaos.

Yet the Elemental Lords don't?

We have a metric fuck load of passives for melee.

We just (probably) just failed the terror roll.

The passives would have covered the minor DC for stopping him from hitting the alarm. Though we would not have had the chance of stunning the mage.
>>
Your Terror pulses through the room.

>mana: 53/76

The two engineers drop to the floor in spasms. The one near the alarm starts foaming at the mouth, and scrabbling at his face and neck with his hands.

You don't have time to pay them much attention, through, because more stalactites formed from the steel-adamantium hull of the ship are hurtling toward you. You dodge one, and the second one clips your arm, taking it off at the shoulder. You regrow quickly, but it stung quite a bit.

You unpocket Shade.

>mana: 52/76

Your construct appears from midair, orients itself, and hits the deck on one knee. <Orders.>

You answer at the speed of thought. <Take down the engineers. I've got the mage.>

<Understood.>

Shade skates across the room. Around his hand forms a dark sword of shadow mana, generated from his power core. A quick sweep as he speeds by neatly lops off the head of the engineer closest to the alarm. He doubles back toward the other man.

Meanwhile, you charge toward the mage. You flicker across the room faster than a shadow.

But not fast enough. A spike of steel rises up and jams into your stomach just before you reach the mage, stopping your momentum. A moment later, a dozen other spikes form and jam into you, riddling you with Earth-powered holes.

>you've taken 8 damage (HP: 65/81)

That really hurt. But it'll take a hell of a lot more than that to stop you.

You drag yourself across the spell, breaking off the tips of the stalagmites and liquifying around the obstacle. The mage has nowhere to run, and you fall upon him. He screams as you dissolve his flesh and begin to consume him. A moment later, he stops screaming. And then he's gone.

>you've gained 3 mana (55/76)
>you've gained 2 EXP (21)
>you've gained 2 HP (67/81)

Shade returns to your side, his task accomplished. <Orders?>

What do you do?

You have Shade shut down the engine, and then pocket him.

The Water dynamo flashes and flickers as the machinery drums down to a halt. The mana flowing through the ship dries up. The skysever howls.

You spread your wings to prepare yourself, and then pocket the airship, using your feet as the contact point.

It isn't anything like what you expected.

A target the skysever has been trained to seek - you - and the crew on an airship of the lesser elements - water - is now at the center of an extraordinarily angry needling vortex. It closes in like a tornado, offering no routes for escape.

It feels less like it usually does - and that's bad enough - and more like it did on Xile. The howling is a shriek of tearing winds. This thing is coming after you, personally. You see crew closer to the edges of the magic shredded in explosive gout of blood and flesh.

What do you do?

You can't get caught in this. It looks hungry.

You look down, and in a Blink, you're on the ground, safe and sound.

You can't help but look back up. And you're shocked by what you see. There's a face in a sky - a skull. A screaming ghoul, formed in the outline of the winds. The shrieks build to a crescendo of howling anguish. Ghostly faces rip apart the helpless crew like scraps of paper. Nothing makes it out. Nothing.

You're glad you decided not to stay. You doubt you would've gotten much of anything out of that mess...

Considering the maelstrom you've baited, it would probably be a good idea to keep flight to a minimum for a little while. But then, you'll just have to keep at it as needed. Duty calls.

The sun is on the edge of the horizon, now, a half-exposed gold disc. It's about 7pm in the evening. You're just west of the Evinbrook Basin, in the Kanian Hills.

Alright, option 1 it is.

Well, I'll write up a nice big introduction for the next thread with some cannibalization of the Incision.

Auriel's reaction to your wanting to go out hunting again came to mind immediately. She'll want to participate, and Abigail, too. Ila as well!

That'll be fun. I'm sure you'll let them come along for the ride with a cloaked Nemesis powered up with yet another Dynamo.

Nemesis Main Functions

>Stealth Mode
>Skysever Resistance
>Wind Propulsion
>Lightning Powered gunship canons
>Jump Drive
>>
>>31359163
So assuming Archon and Vampiria are sparing only one airship each, it's eight Alliance airships versus six Kanian airships.

I like those odds.
>>
>>31359163
>>The Velarion (docked, no dynamo)
We should totally take that and put our new Shadow Dynamo into it.
>>
>>31359222

Then feed it to the Nemesis.

>>
>>31359215
Don't forget Insane Magic Resistance.
>>
>>31359163
which airships could teleport again?

The Noiralev, and, I'm guessing, The Way of Light, that was probably the ship that warped in over Magnock's mining town?
>>
>>31359216
Is it really fair to count the Nemesis as one ship? This thing has 4x the dynamo power of a normal ship and then Artifacting on top of that.
>>
>>31359215

And just that from eating one and a half (with the weapons systems and armor thankfully) airships.

Can't wait to nab more.
>>
>>31359222
Why would we give away our new dynamo?

Unless you want to steal it and feed it the the Nemesis, which is a good idea, even if we don't give it our dynamo too.
>>
>>31359246
Nine Alliance ships, then. Assuming that we don't feed the Incision to it.
>>
>>31359253
Why the fuck would I suggest giving away our dynamo? We steal the ship and stick the dynamo in it, that means it's ours.
>>
>>31359215

If we salvage another ship with a jump drive, could The Nemesis jump twice? Or would the design of an airship see something like that as a redundant function and use the components for other purpose, or just cut the jump cool down in half?
>>
>>31359215
So is its Skysever resistance like double that of the other airships?

Does Wind propulsion make it faster?

Has the second Jump Drive been integrated yet? And when it does does that mean that we can have two jumps stored?
>>
So when we awake Leviathan after the war how do we keep him from realizing that on of his greatest enemies made an Island their home?
>>
>>31359239

The Velarion warped in over Evinbrook. Auriel was its captain, back when you were young and being courted by the duke.

The Noiralev warped in over Palthair.

Look closely. One was reverse engineered from the other. They angels have the technology, they just don't have the dynamos.
>>
>>31359265
>Assuming that we don't feed the Incision to it.

Jumps are limited by the power source, not the jump drive itself.

So wait. About last thread.

> steel levers snap down from the engine housing, arranging themselves around the dynamo in a complex and repetitive fashion.

Since this is the only thing that seems really super different from our own dynamo creation... how did 'steel levers' replicate the same effect as HP from an Elemental Lord?
>>
>>31359279
>So is its Skysever resistance like double that of the other airships?

No. It's more than that.

>Does Wind propulsion make it faster?

Wind-driven airships are the fastest, for obvious reasons.

>>31359279
>Has the second Jump Drive been integrated yet? And when it does does that mean that we can have two jumps stored?

It didn't come with a Jump Drive. The Jump Drive from the Noiralev is the first and only jump drive the Nemesis has. It has finished integrating, giving the Nemesis jump-drive capabilities. It can be used once every week. Normally this is a several-week charging period, but you've got multiple dynamos that can contribute to charging it.
>>
>>31359265
We are. We're giving the Duke 2 new Shadow dynamos and we gave him the Bolt back and let him get his dwarf shit.

And we're giving him his country back.

It's a fair trade.
>>
OK, so The Nemesis now needs Fire, Earth, Spirit, and a Light dynamo. How are we going to get those?

On the next airship hunt if we find a dynamo type that we already have, I say we trade it for one we don't.
>>
>>31359326
So currently it is at one week per jump.

And with the water dynamo added, it shall be even shorter than that...
>>
>>31359326
>It can be used once every week. Normally this is a several-week charging period, but you've got multiple dynamos that can contribute to charging it.
What about once we get the Incision added in?

What if we integrated the new Shadow Dynamo?
>>
>>31359325
>Since this is the only thing that seems really super different from our own dynamo creation... how did 'steel levers' replicate the same effect as HP from an Elemental Lord?

Don't read into it too much. It was more a 'first one was free' situation. And you were good on your dynamo research, and about to be chewed up by the skysever and crushed by a giant collapsing hunk of Xile, so I cut you a break at the time.
>>
>>31359326
So how many Airships are jump capable?

>>
>>31359347

Half a week.

>>31359347
>What if we integrated the new Shadow Dynamo?

Two or three days, assuming every dynamo was committed to charging the drive.

>>31359358
>So how many Airships are jump capable?

The Noiralev and the Velarion are the only two. Read the archive, dude.

>And is the resistance to the Skysever like 5 times that of other Airships? How could we possibly put this to use?

That's a really nice question you have there, Dave.

I really don't think Hecate's being a dbag is about Order/Chaos balances. This is just a matter of who she is.

Go back and look at SM's explanation of the Humanity and Temerity meta-stats from back before they became shards. I think Hecate is "human" enough, but she's just a bit of a bitch.

Then why the remark about Hecate being 'flat' as an entity? It's a clear indicator that she's missing what makes US different, which is balance. She's one-note. Humans, and us now also, are capable of being more because we have both Order and Chaos in balance.

Hecate really doesn't seem that unbelievable as a person. Strip away the godlike power and look at her. Do you think it's impossible for someone to be like that?

>She isn't Balance, like we are.

>Erebus
>even with corruption
>Balance
you are Order with an infection anon.

the chaos is tiny.
>>
You know what this quest hasn't had in a long time? A loli.

>Sentient loli light elemental pops out of the manapool in Ring City
>Shadow finds it while pilfering airships
>Actually become friends
>>

anon that's not how you spell
>CONSUME
>>

>the chaos is tiny

We totally overwrote the entire personalities of our shards when we spliced Chaos into them. I'd say the Chaos is not 'tiny'. It started tiny, now it has grown.
>>
>>31360111
>overwrote the entire personalities
Peace doesn't like to talk still, mate.

You didn't replace the shards wit chaos, you just put some in between the cracks to glue em back together.

You're still a SHADOW Elemental. An Order Elemental. If you became truly 50/50 you'd only be half Shadow, half some other element.
>>
>>31360195
>50/50
>There are 7 shards that didn't originate from the Judgement shard (us)
>There are 7 Elemental lords
If we wanted to torch all the other elementals with Order until they were suitable to act as shards, well.... We could totally do that.
>>
I want a more detailed powerlevel chart
>>
>>31360242
..Maybe we should shove our shards INTO the Elementals?
>>
>>31360282
no...
>>
>>31360294
Come on. You know you wanna give Hecate the shard.
