Trude's talents lie other places. Like sleeping.

Speaking of the IS-2, I'm making one final appeal to buy it because I still think it's the smartest purchase we can make.

The IS-1, which would be a simple conversion from the IS-2, is well armoured and carries a powerful gun. It's in no way a poor tank, especially when compared to the KV-85. As we're still looking to fill out our roster, it would be stupid to pass up something so capable.

It's biggest advantage, however, is that it's one of the very few good 4 crew tanks. This is a really big point. As a 3 man crew, the Junior Council has very few options in what they can operate when we get them. Our only other real options are finding another T-34 or Scott, both of which would be fine don't get me wrong, but the IS is right here.

I realize the IS-2 is vintage but that isn't a problem. Comp. Spec'ing has never been very expensive and the conversion isn't much more then a gun swap and turret, thus should be cheap too. It isn't a scary investment.

As I mentioned, we still need to fill out our roster. The sooner we get 20 solid tanks, the sooner we can turn all of our attention to upgrading and saving money to Elite our tanks.

You know, distributing pornographic material of a student is probably against some school regulation. With that, you watch the match kickoff with a bang. Ace’s Chaffee leads all of the E8 Shermans in a mad dash towards Ooarai’s starting position, while the Pershing and the Jumbos skirt around the town in the center of the map. It appears Ace wants to win this match by weight of numbers, you really don’t blame her.

Ooarai’s assembled team meets them in a flat open field, to which they begin long range sparring. Miho’s excellent coordination with her other tanks however keeps losses to zero, while a surprising number of Shermans are damaged, or in the case of three of them, are rendered knocked out. The heavier American tanks move away from their position in town in favor of going for a wide angle flank to Ooarai’s rear.

Too much plot armour. I hope to hell they don't make the finals.

Just out of curiosity I was wondering about the difference between the M4A1 and the M4A3.

I've been trying to do some research on it, especially between their E8 counterparts.

The only notable thing, I noticed was the cast to wielded armor difference which I'm not sure the difference in armor protection. However, the M4A3 had a better engine then that of the M4A1 which can carry more armor.

Also i heard that the M4A1 was only used as a training tank and sent to other countries as for the M4A3 continued service until the 1950's.

I just want to know the reason since Trude uses a M4A1 and I was curiously on the difference and whether which one was better.

You decide to text Kitten on whether or not she’s watching it. She texts you back with a picture of her in her room, laptop with the match on behind her. You sigh, she’s already taken her skirt and blazer off. Girl’s always too eager to go home.

Regardless, you continue watching the match. Ooarai starts falling back, tightening up their formation as the heavy tanks start closing in on them.

Ooarai however, keeps their cool. Quite rightly as the Ace’s assault starts petering out, with their tanks taking too much damage. Ace quickly calls for a more full rush, with all of their tanks rushing into Ooarai’s formation. What ensues becomes a knife-fighting brawl between tanks. Ooarai’s longer ranged masters like the StuG are killed instantly, while the rest start maneuvering or ramming into each other. That I-Go especially ended up knocking itself out trying to ram the Pershing.

You quickly decide to text Maya on whether or not she’s passed her midterms. No response however, maybe they want to be a surprise or something. You could do with less surprises after today though.

Health class arrives though before the match can conclude. You say goodbye to your staff and head onto class.

As the names imply, cast armour is cast in a single piece and welded is welded together. The seams in welded armour are the weaker points that make it overall less protective.

To my understanding, welded is better because it's cheaper and easier to manufacture with hardly a loss in performance.

The professor drones on about how drugs can kill you, you’ve heard it all before. It’s not like anyone sneaks drugs onto LGA anyway.

Thusly, underneath your desk at the back of the class, you elect to watch the match on mute.

The closer quarters brawl between the two teams eventually dissolves as Miho manages to organize a withdrawl of her remaining the tanks, the Tiger P, her own, the Hetzer, and the Panzer III. They manage to beat a hasty retreat away as the remaining Heinlein tanks which include Ace’s Chaffee, the flag Jumbo, three E8s, and the Pershing, proceed to go after them.

Miho however, manages to set a neat little trap. She and her tanks crest over a hill, then wait right behind it, their guns pointed upwards. Ace unfortunately doesn’t appear to realize her mistake as she crests right over the hill. All the guns pound into the Chaffee, knocking it out and sending it down the hill out of control in flames. The Pershing doesn’t fare much better either as it pulls the same mistake as Ace.

With that, Heinlein calls it quits and concedes the match. A very dirty Ace and Miho amicably shake hands, Ace quickly taking her in a bearhug as the match concludes.

Naw. The Freshmen aren't very reliable and would be leading as an officer in I think our slowest tank. It just seems like a bad idea to me.

Charlotte waves you off. “It’s fine. I know I couldn’t be a Student Council President.” She snaps her finger, then reaches into her bag. “Oh, here.” She hands you Achtung, Panzer! “I’m done reading that. You can have it back.”

“You sure?”

“I’m sure,” she says. “I’ll find other books.”

You nod. “Alright. If anyone needs my help, just call. Benita, if the Naval Studies Engineering students are around, tell them I’ll try and get to them as soon as I can.”

With that, you say goodbye to the Delinquents and walk out the door, almost bumping into Kitten. “Oh, Gertrude. Were you just leaving?”

“Yeah,” you say. “Gotta help the Rifle Team with something. Want to come along?”

“Sure,” she says. “After ice cream though.”

“Kitten-“

“Ice cream,” says Kitten. She pouts, giving you THE EYES.

Oh fine. You quickly buy a cone of strawberry ice cream for Kitten then the two of you head for the Rifle Team Club House. Shouldn’t be too far.


You arrive at the Club House in good time. It’s not really a club house so much as it is Natalya Springfield’s Mom’s house here on LGA. On the front lawn are about twenty or thirty students, all splayed out covered in fake blood and ketchup. The hell are they doing?

The Poles and the Freshmen sit on the porch, sipping some lemonade and idling about. The poles say, “They call it a die-in.”

“The fuck is a die-in?” you ask.

Janek shrugs. “If we knew, we’d tell you.”
