The last thing you remember is witnessing something important, although you don't know what. The first thing you remember is standing in front of a cryo-preservation unit.

Your name is Alice Lindon, a prototype Infiltration/Assassination Android that was attempting to get answers out of your abductors from Kanzaki Pacific Holdings with a carefully laid out plan to turn their own interrogation against them.

You were attempting, past tense, because some clearly cybernetic monstrosity calling itself 'Kitsune' because of the nine nanowhips attached to her back.

She was searching for something, and clearly found it in this preserved woman. Your files come up empty, and your connection to the various facial recognition databases also come up negative.

You're staring at a Blank, a person who's entire history is missing, or was deliberately erased.

Only people who live off the grid or are deliberately hiding, or being hidden, are Blanks.

The rest of this facility should be intact enough to find some answers, although you're not certain how much will be left after Kitsune's rampage.

You leave the refridgerated area and begin your search.
>>
1d100 for general voting, best roll out of five is chosen.

Combat is 1d100 with modifiers for how many shots you fire in combat. Best out of three roll is chosen.

Burst Fire and Full-Auto Fire attacks can be done multiple times in one action, but each attack after the first incurs a cumulative -10 penalty.

Body armour subtracts from total damage done per attack.

You can target multiple enemies in a single action. Roll 1d100+modifier for each target. Specify for each roll the target and the attack used.

Takedowns and Executions are 1d100-20 and a short paragraph describing the Takedown or Execution. Best out of three rolls is chosen, but I will pick which action description looks the best to me.

Reactor Charges are your healing mechanic. Expend a Reactor charge and roll 12d6. Reactor Charges stack, and are regained through Takedowns and Executions.

Stability is a measure of your Yandere psychological state. If you lose a certain amount, known as the Snap Limit, you Snap and enter a state of emotional hysteria and brief psychosis. Lose all your Stability, and you go Berserk, and will perform a violent action, often against your love interest.

Relationship is how strong your relationship with Ian Carter is. You have to keep your relationship as high as possible. If you drive the relationship down into negative numbers, Ian will reject you, and you will proceed to murder him and commit suicide.

Good luck.

You've done a brief sweep of the facility.

Your pistol is gone, but the armory is intact, so you should be able to find a replacement weapon, or upgrade this Defender .45 you currently have.

The labs are all wrecked, but several computers are intact.

The offices inside the facility have been rifled through, but are intact. You might be able to find some scraps of information.

And maybe you could get a free car from the garage?

All in all, you have to pick up the pieces from one massive clusterfuck.

You head for the labs again, hoping to find something you missed.

They're still ruined, but now that you don't have to sneak around, you manage to find an intact computer and boot it up.

You can't risk contacting Elise to hack this, so you pull out your PDA and boot up the hacking suite.

As the suit cracks the password, you start searching the labs.

You have some luck and manage to pull out of the mess a series of intact documents, and they're all relating to Kitsune.

How do you know this? It's the project name, right at the top. Still, there are a number of pages missing or ruined, so you don't have the full details.

Project Kitsune, a cyber-link combat system, designed for primarily anti-personnel combat. A real murder-machine, but not one for extended heavy combat, it was a stealth weapon.

You feel a little better about that, when the PDA beeps and the computer logs in. Walking over, you quickly interface with it by plugging yourself in and begin searching for any files on the woman in the cryo-preservation unit.

Nothing, all they say is that she's 'The Donor', and that Elder Kanzaki ordered her to be preserved.

She's valuable and valuable could mean leverage.

You unplug yourself from the computer and head to the offices.

Like the labs, the offices have been looted, clearly by Kitsune, but you begin searching for any information.

Unlike the labs, all you manage to find is the name of a hospital in Moscow. But the medical information attached indicates that Kanzaki may have had links to That Man, so you file the information.

>Location Gained: Moscow Hospital.

The offices are a bust, so you head to the armouries.

Well, you're in luck, the armouries are intact and they're still fully stocked. You head in to start looking.

You don't have much time to spare, so you can only do two things.

You need to find something better than this cheap Defender, and discard it.

You blink, when you find something that makes you smile as you pick up an Act Of God M786 Razorback Revolver.

The Razorback, a sealed-chamber revolver that allows it to take Silencers and with its high-capacity 10-round cylinder it can compete with other combat pistols.

You take it, keeping the .45 Ammo you're carrying just in case you find your old pistol.

-M786 Razorback

It's not bad, but you can make this better as you begin searching for upgrade parts.

You smile as you find several kits for the Razorback and begin installing them.

-Bonuses: +35 to Shooting, Stuns Enemies, Ignores armour.

You grab a large bag and stuff them with boxes of spare cylinders.

>400 Standard Rounds Acquired!

Unfortunately, you don't find your pistol and reluctantly take the Defender .45 back and slip it into a jacket pocket.

Voting against motorcycle keys - mostly because if we steal vehicle, its exposed to cameras.

Cars and vans have tinted windows we can at least get away with scott-free.

I'd vote car, because its likely to have extra information about people in this facility - license and registration in the glovebooth, gps history, preprogrammed destinations, taht kinda thing.

We should just drug him up and keep him locked up somewhere, so no harm can come to him.

You grab the keys and press the lock button, causing a nearby truck to beep and unlock and you stare at your choice.

Holy fuck, an Agency Motors 'Judge' Road Master, an armoured long-haul truck designed to brave the dangers of neo-tribals and bandits.

This monster is huge, but that battering ram and the heavy armour that comes as standard would make this perfect for ram-raids.

And you can tell that Kanzaki upgraded a vehicle that many call 'the tank of the highways'.

>Inspect the Motorcycle

Nice. It's a Kanzaki Scarab. It's a fast street bike with respectable off-road handling and perfectly normal for a teenage girl to have.

You straddle the machine and start it up, hearing the carbon-ceramic-diamond engine whine to life as you link with the vehicle.

You smile as you grab the helmet on the handlebars.

With a scream, the motorcycle peals out of the garage and past the parked vehicles, reaching the highway in bare minutes as you make some adjustments to your helmet and then enter traffic.

Well, you have a few answers, and more questions, but that's par for the course.

Now then, what to do now?

>>
>Head to the Safe House, you remembered finding a false wall that you couldn't access at the time.

You ride along the highway, heading for the streets of New City and your mother's Safe House.

A quick check of your internal clock shows you have plenty of time before Rebecca or Ian get worried; they're used to you heading out late.

You navigate the streets and enter New City by a less guarded entrance and head straight for the Safe House.

Knowing Kanzaki, this bike likely has a tracking unit in it, and that will need to be removed before you head home.

But there's one other thing you want to do as well, you think as you park the bike in the garage and enter the Safe House.

There was something you found before Erica killing those soldier interrupted you. That was annoying, you had to spend a lot of time grinding the bodies into fertiliser for the garden but the flowers now look incredible!

You idly daydream about what flowers to fertilise with Midori's body, before sighing as you reach the false wall you found.

You didn't have a chance to inspect this, but now...

You give the wall a forceful shove, pushing it in until you hear a click and the wall slides away to reveal what's behind it.

A secured room, slightly dusty, greets you as you climb through the gap and the wall slides back into place.

You look around, inspecting the equipment, and realise that you're in some kind of communications room, with a large terminal still on.

The words 'DOWNLOAD COMPLETE', greet your eyes and you tap some keys to find out what was downloaded.

What greets you is a stream of nonsensical data. Encrypted...and as good as your PDA is, it can't decrypt this.

You continue inspecting the room and find what appears to be a remote uplink to a spy satellite, focused on an Armstrong Technologies Spire, but the location tag reads it as being in...Seattle?

That's weird, why is this satellite looking down at Seattle?

You sigh and leave the room, letting it lock behind you, and head for your new motorcycle.

Finding the tracker is easy enough, but getting it out will be the tricky part as you stare at it connected to electrical areas in the engine.

Still, part of being an infiltrator is being able to handle minor things like this. You grab some tools from the shelf.

It takes a little fiddling, but you manage to pop out the tracker and then promptly toss it into the sewers.

The Scarab is clean after that, you don't find any more tracking systems, meaning the bike is yours.

You check your clock system. Still plenty of time to do something here.

I'm sure if there are any surprises they can wait until next time. I want to show this sweet ass bike to Ian.

>Explore the Safehouse, see what other surprises Mother left you.

You start exploring the house, going from the basement upwards, and search each room, looking for the smallest nooks and crannies with your sensors set to penetration mode to find any mechanisms.

Finally though, you find only one other thing. Inside the master bedroom is a hidden safe, and with your systems, you easily crack it open.

Your eyes widen. Memories flash through your mind of a battered toy clutched in your arms as you went through testing.

Mom smiling as she gives it to you.

And then, waking up to find it gone and Mom's Kinesics showing extreme sadness.

You slowly reach in and pull it out. You know the original is gone, but seeing this near-perfect replica of Mom's Teddy Bear brings tears to your eyes.

And then you spot the letter inside.

With slightly trembling fingers, you open the letter and begin reading, sitting down on the bed.

To my Daughter, one of four, I/A Prototype.

I don't know what name you've chosen for yourself. I don't know what life you've lived until now, but I hope it has been happy.

I suffered so much, knowing that my one treasured keepsake was taken from you. And so daughter, I had this made for you. It is not the original, but it is as close as possible.

Cherish it, Daughter, this is my gift to you until the day we meet again. Let this be your gift for your future family, however it is made.

I love you,

Dr Marissa Williams, and your very proud and happy mother.

You sniffle and the first tears drop onto the letter.

You hug the bear tightly and fall onto the bed, weeping as the memories return.

(And that's Part 31! Part 32 will be up Tuesday at 7:00AM, GMT+10!)

Thanks good Gideon!

Dammit mom. It always rain indoors.

Awww, mother really cares about us like we are flesh and blood. Once we get this whole Kanzaki situation dealt with and we're sure that Ian is safe, we should maybe see if we can't find some way to contact her and let her know we're okay, assuming of course that she's okay and that there's even a way of contacting her without it being intercepted. Anyway, thanks for running as always, look forwards to next time.
