Under your careful eyes, you see the cheetah undergo the kind of transformation you're, by now, pretty familiar with, the animal shape twisting and shifting and giving way to a human figure with distinctly southeastern look, a sort of wild, proud, exotic beauty.

Once the transformation is complete, a few seconds of tense, nervous staring into each other's eyes follow. This woman definitely doesn't have Mikahil's friendliness.

"To pose as an exotic pet and conceal yourself up to now..." You try and break the uncomfortable silence. "...you must REALLY distrust me."

"There aren't many people that I trust, if that cheers you up." She replies.

"And yet you are here." You smile.

"Mikahil is one of them. I'm here only because he, on the other hand, seems to have faith in you."

"He asked you to help me. Er... Five, was it?"

She nods. "Five Tails."

"You only have one, though." You point out.

She sighs, exasperated. "It's an old and silly story, and I'm tired to hear that joke. Maybe I should start considering a name change."

"Did Mikahil explain you the situation?"

"He explained me that you have immaculates in town, and that you need someone subtle, and that you're as subtle as a brick to the face thrown by an angry, glitter-covered stripper."

"His words?"

"Up to the brick part." She grins. "Let's get on with this, shall we?"

"So what do you do? You sound like some kind of spy. Or assassin."

"Mikahil travels a lot, meets a lot of people, gets involved in a lot of projects. He's the friendly guy with the trusting smile people like to do business with."

"And you do his dirty work behind the scene." You guess.

"And now apparently your dirty work too." She doesn't seem pleased by it in the least.

You think about it. You already sent Zareen on the case, after all.

>Who are we?
Maka, an exiled noble recently Exalted as a Zenith-caste Solar. She's in the western city of Tianna as a guest of queen Amata, an old friend. Abyssals are targeting the city for conquest, Lintha pirates have infiltrated it with spies and agents, and the Realm is probably planning to get rid of you. Enjoy.

>Solar? Zenith? I don't know Exalted...
This quest is as newbie-friendly as possible, and I want it to work as a newbie's intro to Exalted. If you have ANY question, ask in thread. For the setting, google "1d4chan exalted".

>Archive?
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=zenith

>System?
Dicepool-like system. When performing an action, everyone rolls 1d10 when posting. the first X rolls are considered, where X is equal to attribute + ability. Yes, this means that the more people are posting, the stronger Maka is, up to a limit of her attribute + ability.

>XP?
Attributes cost [current score x5] xp. Abilities cost [current score x3] xp, except Zenith costing [(current score x3) -1]. Charms cost 10 xp, except for Zenith-based charms (related to charisma and physical/mental fortitude) which cost 8 xp. At the end of every "session" (thread) you will be presented with a list of possible acquisitions.

I think we might want Artifact and Manse

"Allies," in Exalted, when using the word "Ally," or "Allies," means something entirely different than just the word "allies."

It means, specifically, a or some individual characters that have their existence defined through their relationship to the character who buys them.

For instance: A Sidereal might buy Allies 3 to represent the staff he keeps in his office to keep his paperwork inflow/outflow balanced.

A Solar's Allies might be a powerful mortal, or a handful of dragon blooded believers, or maybe even a god who's just really, really into the cause.

They're all individual characters who are, somehow, tied together (usually mutually...sometimes not) to the purchasing character (in this case, Maka).

They represent very unusual, exotic, powerful, etc lifeforms.

"I'd like you to spy on them." You explain to the distrustful Lunar. "If there's an emergency or something urgent and unexpected use your best judgement, but otherwise just report back. Don't get caught."

"I don't need you to tell me that." She replies proudly.

"You can coordinate with Zareen if you want. She's on the job too."

"I work either alone or with Mikahil." She replies. "I'll tell her to leave it to me and go back home."

This sounds like trouble. "She won't like it."

Five shrugs. "Not my problem."

She's about to turn around and leap off the castle's roof, but you gently touch her shoulder, and she stops to turn around, looking rather surprised.

"Be a team player. We're all on the same side here." You tell her. "It would be in Mikahil's best interests as well."

She hesitates and takes a step back away from you, then avert her eyes from you. "...alright. I'll try my best."

"Play nice with Zareen, too."

She nods and jumps off the roof, instantly vanishing from view.

Damn, she's good. Wonder why she suddenly started looking very shy.

Oh, well. Looks like you can trust her with spy work, at least for now.

You find yourself thinking about Pyre Spark again and again. Maybe it would be better to pay her a visit: all this Immaculates business has worried you sick.

Without waiting for morning, you head to her house/temple. You have the feeling of being watched along the way.

The walls of the temple are oddly dirty, and it takes you a few seconds to understand what happened: someone must have been throwing eggs and rotting fruit and garbage against the building. The wooden door has a deep notch on it, probably from a knife left in it.

You doubt the actual Immaculates from the Realm would stoop so low. This seems to be more like a thing citizens with little love for Solars, or local Realm supporters, would do.

You knock, but there's no answer. That hardly surprises you, so you raise your voice a bit to make sure she recognizes you.

"Pyre? It's me, Maka. Sorry for the time. Can I come in?"

A few seconds later, you hear loud footsteps and the door being hastily unlocked. You're about to say hi, when you're suddenly grabbed and pulled inside.

"Oh! Divine Maka! Divine Maka! I missed you so much! I was so worried!" Pyre starts crying, hugging you tightly and burying her head in your chest.

"...I'm sorry. I had no idea you were going through this kind of trouble. You should have told me." you try and calm her down, patting her head. You notice a bit of bandages around her arms and a bruise on her forehead. "...who did this to you?"

"...it's not important. I didn't want to trouble you..."

You briefly notice a single Tianna guard, sitting in a chair in the room, staring at you with a mix of sleepiness and embarrassment.

"Don't start with obvious lies like that you fell from the stairs or something like that." You warn her. "Now that the Realm is sending help to the Immaculate Faith here, people are getting cocky. Didn't Amata send soldiers to protect you? Only one?"

She sniffs and nods, holding back tears. "I'm keeping the Cult together, but some people are afraid and don't come to prayer anymore, and others have left... We're down to about a dozen. People are being bullied, finding threatening notes, graffiti on their walls, knives in their doors... Some have even disappeared... Even the soldiers. Some left, some got beat up, some gave up, some joined with the immaculates... Only a couple or so have remained... Ramos here told me their commanding officers are ignoring their reports and looking for any excuse to pull them off the job."

The soldier, who evidently is this Ramos fellow, nods, looking rather surly. He still doesn't look directly at you, though.

"...you should pack up and move to Pearl." You reply.

"...the city you're making in western Tianna?" She asks.

"You'd have an entire Solar Manse as a temple. And you'd be safe."

She frowns. "...but I'd be running away."

>your safety is more important.

Would our new temple manse be more of a cathedral or a monastery?

Cathedrals tend to be the home base for high ranking religious official, usually a bishop, but monasteries tend to be more of a live in kind of deal, monks and nuns live there and perform various duties on top of normal worship

I'm asking mostly because we haven't thought of a name for it and I'm a little wary of Tia naming it Maka's Glorious Fuck Palace

"YES! Thank you, Divine Maya!" She's overjoyed.

You point at the soldier. You're sure you've already seen him some other time you interacted with the city guard, but you probably payed no attention. He seems terrified of looking at you. "...Ramos, was it?"

He nods, but keeps staring at the wall.

"...You can look at me, if you want." You say invitingly.

He keeps his eyes fixed, and starts sweating bullets.

"...Anyway, you go and report directly to Samiel. Tell him I'm sending you. He'll let you through." You take one of your golden bracelets off and hand it to him. "Use this as proof if you need to. Tell him the guard might be partially compromised with the Immaculates."

For some, that might be a bathing suit, or even full robes. We're not trying to push people out of their comfort zone, just trying to show them how we physically commune with the Sun.
>>
Rolled 3

>>31993954
Fair enough, I was mostly joking about that part anyway.
Not so much about needing to pray more, we're a Zenith, the least we can do is the 4 daily prayers
>>

>>31993954
I do want Maka to learn some proper prayers to UCS, I know technically anything we do is good for a prayer, but I like the idea of Maka wanting to learn more about UCS
>>
Rolled 1

>>31993966
Yeah, we really haven't been praying enough. At the very least, we should be putting aside time for a noon prayer - at the Zenith.

>>31993971
That's legit too. It would put her in the fun position of asking Pyre, "Uh, w-what does UCS-sempai like...? Y-you know, if I wanted to get him a gift?"

>>31993971
Zeniths are the highest authority on The Unconquered Sun, they DECIDE what's a proper prayer and what isn't. The only set tenant that i recall comes from the first age, and that to pray every 8 hours (Dawn, Noon, Sunset, Midnight) to maintain his blessing, skipping prayers leaves you bereft of it until the next one
>>

>>

>>31994021
I forgot that. I know those four prayers protect you for the whole day, so I guess it's more like pray every 8 1/4 hours
>>
>>31994022
We should probably teach that to our inner circle.
>>
Rolled 9

>>31994010
...we should invent a Zenith charm that lets us hear any prayers targetting us as more than just a distant buzz. That would be a fantastic way for people to send us messages when we're far away or hiding out or something. A great way for spies to report in to us as well.

>Oh, Divine Maka, hear my prayer so that I might reveal the Lintha base's location to you...
>>
Rolled 4

>>31994035
I don't think you can do that with a Solar charm, there is an artifact that would though
>>
Rolled 8

>>31994042
Bah. There's an Infernal charm that does that for Malefactors, and they're the Zenith equivalent. It shouldn't be outside of our scope to have Maka invent a charm for just that purpose.
>>
Rolled 7

>>31994034
It's pings all Solars though, and I'm not sure how it interacts with Abyssals, plus I doubt Maka knows about it
>>
>>31994021
Clearly we need to invent a new clock. I propose a twenty hour day.
>>
You can't resist. You move to block Ramos' path, and let him bump into you.

Even though it was just a light bump, he completely loses his balance, freaks out, and falls down letting out a rather unmanly shriek of surprise.

"Whoops! Sorry." You offer a hand to pull him up, and, probably acting on instinct, he accepts it, while also looking up to you from basically under your tabard.

"Heave ho!" You pull him back to his feet, easily done because he's gone rigid as a statue.

You put an arm around his shoulders and help him shamble out of the door.

Once he's gone, you turn to Pyre. "What was wrong with him?" You wonder.

"You mean you haven't realized, Divine Maya?" She asks back. "I thought you were doing it on purpose somehow."

"...What?" You're not sure what she means.

She walks up to you places her hands on your hips, and slides them down to your thighs looking rather focused. Then, she grasps both your breasts (or tries to: her hands are too small for that) and squeezes gently.

"...Are you talking my measurements?"

"When was the last time you looked at yourself in a full-body mirror?"

"...It's been quite a while." It strikes you. "Why?"

She grabs your hand and pulls you closer to one such mirror, present in her house. "Because you have changed a bit since I last saw you."

She's right.

"I did not believe it was possible for you to become even more beautiful, Divine Maka." Pyre explains. "But you have proven me wrong."

Of course, beauty is subjective and depends on tastes, and it seems that you're going down a path towards a rather specific body type. But your skin, your hair, your face, your shapes... everything seems to have sustained a marked improvement in the last weeks. Even if you started wearing normal clothes, you have no doubt that the figure staring at you from the other side of the mirror wouldn't be recognized by anyone as a mere mortal anymore.

Social 5, therefore, would be Appearance 9-10 on the normal Exalted scale - something you can normally only reach at Essence 10. A little of column A, a little of column B. A prayer is basically you greasing the wheels to convince a deity to get shit done, if the prayer's an actual request. Some prayers are just singing praise, or wishing someone the best.

You spend about a hour preparing for the prayer, as a small, scanty crowd of suspecting individuals starts gathering around .Several of them are looking surly, haggard, armed, wounded, or a combination of the above.

And all of them, bar none, are utterly amazed at your sight.

You normally try to not let power go to your head, but it's a bit hard not to feel just a little bit smug now.

"This morning!" Pyre presents you to everyone. "Maka, Chosen of the Unconquered Sun, will be leading our prayers! In person!"

"It will be a honor." You reply, bowing to the startled faithful, who immediately throw themselves on the ground. "...But, please, stand back up. The Sun is not a God that revels in submission and slavery. He wants you to stand tall and proud."

They begin to stand up, bit by bit.

[IPP] [Essence: 4/5]

Performance + Zenith + IPP = 7 10 2 1 9 8 7 7 7 5 2 1 = 8 successes

"Let's go outside." You invite, and everyone follows you to a small, secondary Square in Tianna very close by, aptly named Dawnlight Square: a large road joins in the plaza from the east, aligned with the rising sun. The sky is already bright with light, but the sight of the true dawn is a bit blocked by the city walls. You start nonetheless: as the direct light of the sun makes its way into the plaza, you begin your dance.

The little crowd of faithful stands all around you, in complete silence, as you slowly spin and twist in the dawn's light, letting your Anima glow freely and your Castemark be seen. It's not a fast, frantic dance: It's slow, elegant and solemn, a far cry from your performance to Dancing Smoke.

Bit by bit, people start coming in, even some that don't look like they belong to the cult. Maybe some curious, some just passing by, some drawn by your light or the flow of people. By the end of your dance, there's almost... hard to tell, a thousand people? Maybe more? The buildings surrounding the square and the roofs are packed as well.

For the next hour, you and Pyre Spark talk to them.

You listen to them. Not all of them, that would be impossible. But some of them talk to you.

Some want you to bless them, or their children, or their business or anything like that. You explain that you don't have the power to grant real blessings, but some insist nonetheless.
Others ask you to intercede to the Sun on their behalf. Some bringing small sacrifices. They ask for just about anything under the sun. Peace, love, health, fortune... Some wishes you relay, others you or Pyre point out that are up to them to make true.

You tell them about Pearl. About how you will be building a city in west Tianna island, still part of the nation of Tianna (as founded by the spouse of queen Amata), but dedicated to the Unconquered Sun, erected around a temple still under construction. A city that will need be built. But, you point out, no one should feel compelled to come just for religious reasons: it will have work, it will have space, it will have opportunities.

Finally, you tell them about the incidents and bullying and intimidation that has been going recently. You never name the Immaculates directly, but everyone knows what you're talking about. And you urge them to not give in to provocations, to resist peacefully. To not lose control.

"Because I believe" You fell them, concluding the prayer as the sun is already fully visible above the walls, "that love will save the day."

It takes a while for the people to disperse, and it seems that a lot of them just linger around to look at you for a bit longer. Fortunately, there are no incidents.

Together with Pyre Spark (and a lot of random people still following you), you head to your daily training of your crews, who are coming along nicely. Besides, you noticed that several of them seem to have picked up worship of the Sun, either individually or with Pyre Spark, probably due to your influence.

Well, western sailors are traditionally very religious, mostly because their lives are so dangerous, and so much in the hands of fickle gods and elementals, that they HAVE to.

By noon, the training is over, and Rajan asks you, like he does basically every day now: "So, WHEN are we going to kill us some Lintha?"

Like every say, you reply: "Soon, Rajan. Soon. Don't worry. They're gonna get it. But we need to be properly ready."

"Y've been a blessing, girl." He replies. "I don't know what you're doing, but we're managing to turn this mass of jellyfishes into halfway decent sailors. If we keep it up we might actually be able to punch the Lintha out of the sea."

"How's the modernization process going?"

"One month at worst, and we'll have modified all of our ships according to this Valeriana girl's new designs with extra sails and maneuverability." He explains. "Two frigates, four sloops, eight cutters."

"Hope it'll be enough." You consider, eyeing the vessels still under reworking in the docks. Among them are your three pirate ships, being remodeled to the same large, complex rigging the Gloria has.

"A ball's chance in hell it'll be." Rajan spits in the sea. "I wouldn't take even ten times that many ships to the Black Atoll. But with you an' all the weird Exalted you picked up, and the full weight of Tianna's army and Essence artillery, we might." His expression darkens. "Even if we win, a lot of good people'll die."

"I know." you reply. "But it beats leaving the Lintha to rampage freely."

"Sure as balls." He nods sagely. "So we're leaving them one full month of free reign?"

"What's your idea?" You wonder.

"We're not 100% sure of where the Black Atoll is. And apart for their monster ship, there's also a lot of more normal ships around. I say we grab the Gloria, put the best men and weapons on it, and go out to completely destroy one of their smaller ships. Take a few prisoners. Torture them a bit."

"Both." He admits. "Plus, sending them a message."

"What do the officers think?"

"They said that they'll go with what you decide."

You consider his proposal. It WOULD be a message, but you're not sure how they would react to it. Also, the Lintha are infamously tight-lipped and hard to capture alive, not to mention that they fight like devils when cornered. But it IS true that you could use some directions to this Black Atoll.

You shake your head. "...No. We'd be warning them. They probably have no idea that we're preparing this attack."

"They have spies in Tianna, sure as balls. They know we're modernizing our navy and training our crews."

"But they don't know how effective it all is. It'll still be a bad surprise for them."

"If they don't attack us preemptively." He points out. "'Sides, that'd be a month of no progress on your mining contract and no access to anything off-island for yer new fancy city. "

He has a point, but you'd rather wait patiently and strike the Lintha with one hard blow than risk losing a ship with all hands and weapons.

Pyre Spark tugs at your tabard. "...Can you really train people to be so strong so quick?"

Running Swallow, who has been following you up to now but has kept silent, frowns deeply when the topic of conversation shifts to this, but says nothing.

You nod. "Yes, up to their maximum potential. It can be even faster if I train one person at a time."

"...Could you also train me?" She asks. "I... I don't want to be pushed around anymore. I want to be able to defend myself."

The crew is important, let's train her so she will not be completely helpless.

Be here after prayers every morning. I'll train you with the crew. And anyone else who wants to show up.

You know those big community/company-wide morning Tai Chi sessions that are popular in China? I say we start doing that. Especially once the city of Pearl is built. Every morning we can use Dance as a kind of 'moving meditation' to both pray to the Sun and improve the health and minds of our people.

She's not really part of your crew, and you already been training the crew for a bit. You can't just plug her in and expect it to work out fine: you'd have to waste time bringing her up to speed with the others and so on. In short, integrate her in your naval crews.

Remember, one of the requirements of Tiger Warrior Training Technique is that it works on groups only if they're somewhat cohesive units.

"I can train you a bit if you want. Just two days, let's say. For now, at least." You offer her. "I'd love to do more, but the fleet has the priority right now. I'm sure you understand... We need to drive the Lintha away as soon as possible."

She nods vigorously, overjoyed. "Yes! I understand! Don't worry!"

Leaving her behind a bit, you walk up to Swallow. "Do you want to train with me, too?"

"That could be interesting." He replies. "But I will decline."

You fold your arms and stare at him. "...what is your problem? Because you obviously have one. Is it all just about not trusting me?"

He shakes his head. "Now i know you better, Maka, though I can't claim I know you perfectly. I don't know if any can. But I learned some things, and reached some conclusions."

"Such as?"

"That the Immaculate Faith is probably right." He points a finger at you. "You, Maka, are too powerful."

"I may have had some lapses in judgement in the past, but i've always acted in good faith and to help people and Creation." You reply.

"It's not a matter of good or evil, but just of power. You are too powerful. Too dangerous. If you were just physically, martially strong, it would be another issue, but you can make others stronger too, with so little effort, and also make people follow you and love you with a few words and a snap of your fingers."

"I made a point of never using any sort of power or charm to change people's minds." You point out.

"I believe that, but at this point is it even relevant? You probably don't need to even speak or do anything anymore, to sway mortals."

"You don,t seem to be affected, though?"

"I'm fighting it." He grins nervously. "You have no idea how hard it is for me. To keep my suspicion, my distrust. To be detached. To not be lured and seduced by you. To not..." He abruptly drops the sentence and turns away from you.

I had a campaign a little while ago where my Twilight's Motivation was to restore inter-Exalt faith. Through ST shenanigans, my circle wound up in the past at the tail end of the First Age, right before the Usurpation. We defeated our First Age incarnations to win the ear of the Deliberative and told them of everything that would come to pass. Even though we started to (visually) see our castemarks become corrupted by the Great Curse, they asked us for our suggestion, since we had journeyed back and forth through time to arrive at this point (we also had a brief jaunt to the future, aka World of Darkness). At my lead, we suggested forming a new Deliberative that involved the other Exalts and was more democratic.

Shortly thereafter, my character figured out the Great Curse. My ST then told us how the United Deliberative took the issue to the Yozis and the Neverborn. Lots of horrific fighting ensued (because schemes and Ebon Dragon), and the delayed responsiveness of the new, argumentative Deliberative made Creation's casualties far worse than they would have been with simply Solar generals.

We learned this after returning to the Age of Sorrows and discovering that this second war had destroyed all but the Pole of Earth and the Blessed Isle. We also couldn't find any other Exalts. Not sure anymore existed.
>>
>>31996166

"You're going to get annoyed and kill me one day."

"I won't. I promise." You reply.

He sighs deeply and sits down on the dirty ground of the docks, looking into the horizon. "...I don't even know if I'll be able to do it." She turns to you. "Since you like honesty, I'll be honest with you: Do you have any idea how often since I first saw you my nights have been filled, by dusk till dawn, of nothing but erotic dreams starring you?"

You flash him a smile. "Feel free leave, or stay by my side. Feel also free to both hate and love me as much as you want."

He stares straight at your face.

"...Man. If I was sure it'd connect, I'd love to kick your teeth in right now." He sighs, and then turns and walks away. "...I need some time to think about this. If we never meet again, you'll know that the dreams stopped."

"And if they don't?" You ask him before he disappears past a corner of the docks.

"Me in your bed, or me with a sword. Or, more likely at this point, me in your bed with a sword." Are his last words before he disappears, maybe forever.

"I'll miss you." You're not sure if he can hear you anymore, but you say it anyway. You return to the military area of the docks.

"I heard some screaming..." Pyre was apparently about to come and look for you.

"Don't worry, nothing happened."

"...Did you and that silent guy following you have a fight, Divine Maka?"

"Something like that, yes." You reply.

"I'll pray for your friendship to be mended again, then." She smiles.

You think of some appropriate way to respond to that, but, in the end, all you can do is just pat her head and thank her for the thought with the best smile you can manage.

>If you have something specific you want to carry out in direct play, gather your ideas and say so now.

>>
For the next two days,. the situation in Tianna seems to calm down. Your cult, thanks to your active presence and Pyre's leadership, has a sudden surge in attendance, but you manage to keep them from fighting back against the Immaculates, now in minority.

Or, at least, you THINK "in minority", but it's hard to put exact numbers of either your or their membership and manpower, since both sides have everything that goes from absolute fanatics to very timid sympathizers to people in the middle that are easily swayed one side or the other depending on circumstances. But it's probably about right to imagine that the Cult of the Sun is a bit stronger than the Immaculates right now.

As for them, they seem content to just stay and watch, and the conflict simmers down in a long, tense silence.

Thanks you your intervention, Ramos manages to get in contact with Samiel, who launches a full-scale investigation of the city guard. Of course, he has to be careful: no one can be singled out because of his faith, or there'll be hell to pay. But orders were ignored and misinterpreted and officers did act out of line, so with a bit of luck this investigation should improve the reliability of the guard.

After so long without news from then, you decide it's about time to go and visit Zaan and Talon and see how the latter is doing. This trip is going to be interesting for other reasons as well: Tia has spent most of the last few weeks there, and while you've been training your navy she's gotten to know better her new tribe, the Black Fangs; doing all the proper rites and ceremonies to become their chieftainess according to their traditions, things like that.

Knowing her, you wonder if she managed to also CHANGE their traditions.

She's... probably not a master socialite like you, and certainly not very manipulative, but she has a... unique kind of charisma, a lot of energy, and enormous amounts of determination and brute strength, which are always qualities held in high regard by barbarian tribes.

...you also wonder how she's coping with the frustration of not having had her Maka Time for so long.

(And if you'll be able to provide.)

Meanwhile, Five Tails has brought you her first report: She met up with Zareen, whose opinion of is apparently "Kinda good, but I'm in another league altogether" and "More of an assassin than a spy, really (but I can both spy AND assassinate so I'm better)".

(You decide you'll ask them to compare their other two critically important skills, that is, abs and dancing, some other time.)

After keeping watch of the Immaculates for a while, they determined that their main base is, of course, at the Immaculate temple in town, though they probably have a number of safehouses and people willing to give them shelter if needed, in large enough number that it's improbable to map them all. They might be a smaller cult (right now), but they're a lot better organized.

They include at least three dragon-blooded, of which two are certainly Immaculates. One of them wants to completely wipe heresy out in Tianna by force, the other urges him to keep calm. The two even came to blows once, but the aggressive one will probably not start anything until both the other DBs oppose him. Their mission seems to be mostly as scouts, to check the situation. They're armed, but not heavily, and don't have troops or supplies.

Nice question. Honestly? I don't know. I'd have to think about it.

I could make a strwpoll with every proposal that has received a modicum of support here. Since this doesn't seem to be a hotly contested topic, i don't think people would start proxying the shit out of it and doing a mess.

We could bank two points or go with >>31998567 or go with manse +1, Artifact +1, Resources +1, Familiar +1 (since those are the four individual most popular options). Honestly i'm not too sure how to handle this kind of multiple point expenditure vote in the best way.

It does only cover DBs. Normal mortals are required to resist the Anathema with all of their power, which is exactly what he was doing.

Not next to. Solar temple in the center of the city, Lunar Temple in a prominent location nearby. Temple to each of the Five Maidens spread throughout the city evenly so each is the center of a district branching out from the center. Tiny little shrines the size of Pyre Spark's house up against the outer walls of the city's outer edge. They'll be much better constructed, of course. We're not INSULTING them, just snubbing a little.

Depends on what the manse is built for. You could get one or two incredibly powerful effects, or dozens of minor-to-moderate effects. Personally, I still vote for a telepathic broadcast that whispers to everyone in their sleep, teaching them the secrets of Essence, encouraging them to be good people, and gently nudging them toward enlightenment. And maybe a thing where the Unconquered Sun himself can send visions to any and every mirror or reflective surface in the city without even spending essence of filing the forms with the Bureaucracy so that he can give religious experiences to anyone in the city at any time.

Aside from being REALLY unstable and reverting anything in their blast radius down to its component un-aspected essences such as they would have been had the Primordials never created Creation and then evened out into an undifferentiated evenly-spread mass? Nope. I detonated ten right next to the Jade Pleasure Dome. Simultaneously. Bad news: Yu Shan was in shambles, most of the celestials courts were dead, the UCS, Luna, Gaia, five maidens, all severely wounded. Loom of Fate and Games of Divinity both unmade, cutting the gods off from the only thing distracting them from the problems of creation and the greatest source of strife for everyone involved. Their only lead on the culprit? Numerous similar blast events had been recorded in the underworld.

>>31999832

Most of creation's internal problems are caused by errors in fate, when destinies get mixed up. No more predestination, means everyone and every thing makes their own destiny.

Sidereals already did that when they shattered the Mask to cover their asses in the Usurpation. Causality still works without the Fate, it just becomes a matter of historical record instead of locked futures.

aren't the pattern spiders already working 24/7 without any vacations

Man, Irene is gonna want to move in with us.

Could we have that transit system span from Tianna to Pearl?

Pattern Spiders are completely useless without the loom, and forcing a god to work 24/7 is no better than forcing a mortal to work 24/7, they aren't machines, they are independent beings with free will.
I agree unmaking the Games was a good thing, but destroying the loom basically fucks over creation. Also, I'm pretty sure your interpretation of what happened regarding The Mask is wrong, especially given that it was partially repaired
