It’s time for a recap! Of course, I’m not going to take an entire thread to do so, so everything is going to get stuffed into this one post!

And that’s your recap. Back to your regularly scheduled LGA.
>>
>>32018858
You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

Today’s the day. The due process that makes the United States most famous in the world.

The process known as voting.

Kitten dresses you out in your usual school uniform, adding in a sweatervest weather as your staff discusses things over breakfast. You sit on the bed as Kitten rolls up the warm black thigh highs up your legs. “So, Gertrude. Election day. Feeling confident?”

> Boast – “Of course!”

You smile at her. “Of course! You seen the polls lately?”

Lisa says, “It was just a strawpoll, it doesn’t really mean anything-“

“Regardless,” you say. “I’m confident that I got this election in the bag!”

Nancy smiles, handing you a plate of pancakes. Been a while since you had them. “That’s lovely, Gertrude! Eat up and we can head to school.”

With that, you quickly down your breakfast and head out of Nancy’s dorm. You make a mental to get one of those warmer-heater-coffee-table-blanket-whizzamawhatsit things for yourself. It’d certainly would be great for sleepovers and the coming winter.

Outside, the snow has stopped at least, but there’s certainly a huge blanket still covering LGA. It’s like Snowmageddon Jr out here. At least the snow might not have time to freeze. Maybe you should get a sled though.

Nancy says, “I was, but there’s a few problems other than rank.” She leans in close, whispering in your ear. “They’re Japanese, but they speak Italian too and I don’t know how to respond to what they’re saying.”

Huh. Weird. “Remind me to give them a call later,” you say. Nancy nods, smiling.

With that, you decide to give Mr. Mishka a call.

“Ah, Gertrude! Something I can do for you?”

“Alright, I’ll get to work on it now. Should be ready either tomorrow or the day after.”

“Thanks, Mr. Mishka.”

“No, no, thank you.”

With that, you hang up.

Today’s particularly crowded as you enter in school. Mostly because elections take place right after classes. You already see supporters of Rankin and you holding up signs and the like, along with tables for answering questions.

You point to the table with your own supporters. “When did that happen?” you ask.

Nancy says, “I organized it. I figured I’d set up your platform which includes:

- For the revival of the Foreign Exchange program
- Against the introduction of male students into LGA
- Against the abolishment of the Tankery Program
- For the trade scholarship program for Naval Studies students
- For the commissioning of the University program for LGA

“And that’s the gist of it, hope I’m not treading on your toes,” she says.

You wave her off. “It’s fine. I like it when my staff is autonomous. Shows initiative.”

You start shaking hands and smiling towards you supporters, answering a few questions for them as you do.

Though, there’s that one constant question that keeps getting you.

“Are you single?” A group of very hopeful looking freshmen look at you with dreams in their eyes.

Dreams that you have to shatter.

You say, “Yes. But I’m not looking for a relationship at the moment.” They frown, their smiles turning into gloomy looks. “Sorry.” They shrug, leaving. They’ll probably vote for you anyway.

Hell, they’ve already seen you nude anyway, it’s not like they’ll see much else.

“Gertrude.” You look over to see Fairless and the Senior Council approaching you. “Hey.”

You nod. “Hey yourself.”

Fairless quickly adjusts her glasses then says. “I don’t think I need to tell you what’s going on today. Just wanted to give you my blessings.”

“Much appreciated, Bernadette.” You cross your arms, smiling proudly. “Admittedly, I do say that I think I have this election pretty much underwraps.”

Henrietta giggles a bit. “I think she’s got more than one thing underwrap-“ Claire elbows her in the chest, silencing her.

You snap your fingers. “Speaking of which, Bernadette. What did you to Fredendall after the whole nude leaks scandal?”

Fairless shrugs. “I yelled at her.”

You nod. “You yelled at her.”

As it occurred to you, you don’t think you’ve ever actually heard Fairless ever raise her voice at anyone. She must be one of those people.

ALARM

Whoops. Time for class. You say goodbye to Fairless and head away to classes.

Math flies by relatively quickly. Just some algebraic expressions that you don’t really pay attention to, not because they’re hard, but because you know how it works now. To a tee even, maybe you should take honors classes next year. Would certainly help that reputation of yours.

English though is different.

Claire slams down a career survey on your desk, glaring at you. “Answer this seriously.”

Joy. Careers. You look down at it. Nothing but feedback on your personal performance and what you want to be when you grow up. You never really gave thought on what you want to be when you grow up. Hell, you don’t even know which college you want to attend either.

Lisa says, “How’s the language barrier?”

“Dangerously Assassin’s Creed-y” you say.

Nancy blinks at you, curious. “Assassin’s Creed?”

“Anyway though,” you say. “Makes me feel like I should try and learn more languages other than French.”

“You only know French?” asks Lisa. “I know how to speak Spanish thanks to Ramirez here.”

Nancy nods. “I know how to speak Spanish too. It’s already a second language for most people here in the US.”

… goddamn it guys, they’re making you look bad.

With that, it’s time for Health class. You say goodbye to your staff and move on.

The rest of the day goes by relatively fast. Everyone is too excited and pumped for the big recall election voting today to really pay attention in class. You try and do your best, you know it’s futile knowing that this could mean the fate of the entire Tankery program. And in effect, the fate of the school.

Regardless, the rest of classes go by and the end of the day comes. People are heading over to the auditorium where it all happens.

In all honesty when I first took this position it was on a whim. Before LGA I was a bit crude, dim, and my social circle was limited to my best friend and my council. However when I taken this position and accepted its responsibilities, I've met some amazing people, and students.

People who want to achieve their dreams, people looking for something to do, people wanting to earn respect for the things they cherish, people finding a purpose of what they want to be.

LGA changed me to who I am today, it gave me friends, it gave me challenges in which to overcome, it led me to others who needed my help when no one would else would help them.

I love LGA, I want it to float for years to come, I want LGA to be the dream of young girls who want to join an Academyship not just because of its academics but to be seen as a place where girls can find purpose and achieve their dreams.

LGA is a part me just as I'm sure it is for all of you.

I'm not sure what I can do to help all of you nor at this point convince you to vote for me. However, all I ask of you is to do what you think is right for the job and no matter who wins maintain this conviction that I have learned during my time as the Sophomore president.

Do not feel afraid or lost in what you want to do in your time here. Go with full force to what you want to do and make sure to help others do the same.

Thank you for your time, and happy voting.

Hall Monitors are busy regulating people into lines for better organization, but they wave you through into the building itself.

Fredendall waves over to the voting booths. “The way of the future! The Electronic Voting Booth! Just tap a button and that’s a vote.”

“Neat,” you say. “You rig them, Fredendall?”

“Ha!” Fredendall laughs a bit. You notice she’s wearing a bandage on her nose. You must have hit her hard on the snowball thing. “Very funny, that is above me, Gertrude. Anyway, happy voting!” With that, she walks over to her seat in the rows.

Fairless says, “You and Rankin might as well cast your ceremonial first votes.”

I believe Rankin and Pool have a few words for everyone.”

Rankin stands up. “If I am elected to the office of Student Council, I promise you all that I will do my very best to make our years here at LGA the best I possibly can. Expect that, I keep my promises. You are here today to exercise the greatest power a citizen has to offer, the power to vote. So don’t abuse it nor squander it. Do not feel afraid or lost in what you want to do in your time here. Go with full force to what you want to do and make sure to help others do the same. Thank you for your time, and happy voting.”

There’s a brief silence, then Fairless begins clapping. Everyone rips into a roaring applause for you as you shyly sit down.

Jeez, where the hell did that come from.

Just a thought, but between the tankery program and having the aviation studies and rifle teams on side, we have access to a significant amount of military hardware. We also have large support among the student body as well as in naval studies.

Look, I'm not suggesting an armed uprising if this is rigged, but I'm not NOT suggesting it

You pat Rankin on the shoulder and quickly tell her good luck. She says the same to you. With that, you sit down next to Fairless. “Hey, Bernadette.”

“Gertrude, nice to see you,” she says.

“So, did Fredendall rig the machines or something?” you ask.

Fairless shrugs. “The Electronic stuff was Principal Tennyson’s idea actually but I’m skeptical. Honestly, if they were rigged, I’m sure we could tell but right now, it’s iffy.”

“Ah.” You scratch your chin, leaning back in your seat. “That’s a shame. But, time will tell I suppose.”

“Indeed, if worse comes to worse, it’ll be Rankin who gets run out of town on a rail and not you,” she says.

You nod. “Good.”

“Is that an actual thing?” you ask.

Fairless nods. “Oh, definitely. They did it to the Junior Council Prez when I was a Freshman.”

“Well, just… you know. Getting run out of town.”

“Don’t worry,” she says. “I’ll plead your case, so long as you plead mine.”

“Good!” you say. You nod violently at that. “Very good, another thing, are you planning on keeping my staff around?”

“Sure,” she says. “They were elected there anyway, it’d seem rude. Why do you ask?”

“Well, just… they’ll certainly have stuff for you to do that’s for sure.”

She nods at that, smiling. “Well, Gertrude. I’ll tell you something, there’s no challenge too great for Jeannette Rankin! Whatever they’ll have me do is probably something petty like getting a cat out of a tree or fixing their plumbing.”

Yeah, fixing their plumbing. That’s comparable to having to save the school.

Regardless, you decide to end the conversation there. Seems like the crowd’s already halfway through. Should be over soon, maybe even in time for dinner. You decide to study up on Pravda.

Their Commander, Katyusha of the Swirling Snow and Blizzard Nonna, are certainly a dynamic duo. Nonna apparently has a habit of switching over from a T-34/85 in the midst of combat over to the IS-2. She must be some kind of Ace Gunner for them. Whichever tank she has, you should try and be weary of it.

“Alright, guys.” You walk up to your staff. “If we lose-“

“Thanks, you’re too kind, Bernadette.” You give her your best smile, to which she looks away, apparently trying to hide the thinnest little blush on her face. D’aw. That’d be cute if she weren’t so scary.

Though, now the voting period is over. All the in absentia votes have been counted up as well and are being added to the total. The time now is to wait for it all to be counted up, thanks to these Electronic voting machines, it should on;y take a few minutes.

A few agonizing minutes. Kitten walks up behind you and hugs you from behind. You hold onto her arms as you wait for the votes to count down.

Fredendall observes the real-time count on her iPad, smiling a bit.

You ask, “Why?” Jeannette looks surprised too. Fairless looks like this shit happens to her every day.

Fredendall says, “Because I rigged the fucking votes!” The audience gasps and murmurs. She drops down off the stage and walks amongst the aisles. “That’s right! I did it! I made it so that every other vote for Gertrude would result in a vote for Rankin!”

Rankin blinks. “You… you rigged the votes for me?” Nancy places a hand on her shoulder. Rankin looks dumbstruck.

“That’s right!” yells Fredendall. “I rigged it! And I’d do it again! You want to know why!? Because I am in charge here, Pool! If I say I want a car, I’ll get a fucking car! If I say I want you to shut down your Tankery team, you’ll shut down your Tankery team! If I say you’re not President, well by FUCKING GOD YOU’RE NOT PRESIDENT!” she yells.

“Boooo!” Dana Rockwell boos Fredendall, as does the rest of the Naval Studies Engineering team. The five of them later turn into ten, then into hundreds as the entire student body starts booing Fredendall.

“Stop that!” screams Fredendall. “I am in charge-“ A tomato splats itself on her face. A huge barrage of fruits come raining down on her as Fredendall fights to regain her composure. Even her seniors are throwing fruit at her. Kitten laughs along with you as she gets her just desserts.

Then the door flies open. The crowd goes silent as Team Liberty hauls it in.

The rail.

“Get her on!” yells Dales. Fredendall gets restrained by a pair of Naval Studies students, being forced to sit on top of it.

If every other vote for Rankin went to Gertude:

>>
> Let it go

You sit back and kick your feet up as Fredendall is hoisted onto the roll, kicking and screaming. The crowd cheers as Dales and her girls marches Fredendall out, making sure that Fredendall hits her head on the overhang of the doorframe on the way out.

Rankin sighs. “So I didn’t win. I didn’t even get that many votes.”

“Hey,” you say. “Don’t blame yourself.” You look over at Fairless. “What are they going to do with Fredendall?”

Fairless shrugs. “Dump outside of the campus, throw some more veggies and fruit at her, leave her there. Her admitting that she rigged the thing will do the rest to her reputation, maybe even get her expelled for academic dishonesty.”

Expulsion and Fredendall in the same sentence. Now that’s something.

Kitten kisses on the cheek, squealing. “You won!”

“Of course,” you say, smiling.

You all clink your glasses of water at the most fancy-ass restaurant you could muster. “To LGA!” You’ve brought with you yourself, your staff, Kitten, Fairless and the Senior Staff, Betty and the Junior Staff, and Rankin. Everyone talks and chatters excitedly, the first time you’ve ever actually seen Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores actually be friendly to each other in a non-work environment.

Fredendall getting run out of town on a rail certainly helped.

You say to Rankin, “Um, sorry if I’m coming across as a bit gloaty or… something. Just didn’t want you alone after what happened.”

Rankin shakes her head, smiling. “It’s fine. I’m more pissed that I got used and even then she didn’t have faith in me winning. Had to rig it and rub it in my face. What a bitch,” she says. “Thanks, though, Gertrude. Honestly, no hard feelings.” She holds up her glass to you. You clink, smiling. “Good luck with the tournament and good luck being student council president.”

You nod. “So, Bernadette. Since Fredendall’s out, what happens to the Seniors?”

Henrietta, who’s in the middle of her roast chicken, muffles, “Fe fafto-“ Claire elbows her in the chest again. Claire scolds her for chewing with her mouth full.

Fairless says, “Since Fredendall is out of commission, that makes me de facto President until further notice. If no candidates pop up in the next month or so, I automatically become President.”

Claire nods. “And I don’t imagine people want to go up against Fairless.”

“Well, congrats then, Bernadette!” you say. She smiles at you, faintly, but it’s certainly there.

I bring updates and tidings.

New on the block is BOOK LOCATIONS and MORALE. Do take note of the big bolded red morale of the Naval Engineering team.

In the interest of getting as many teams to elite, I'm suggesting that against pravda, we field the Combined Japanese team instead of the Rifle Team's KV-2, since they're the closest to being elited. The CJT is likely to be quite skillful and probably our next bet to be an elite crew after our first 10.

“Not yet, hopefully it’ll be soon.”

“Should be. Anyway, glad to hear you’re still Student Council President. That’s certainly a leap from not knowing why you ran in the first place that’s for sure.”

the crusader, no on wants the Japanese Arty, though I don't know why they don't but I can understand if they don't want it.

Pershing is a heavy tank but its a poor heavy. Pass.

It's technically a medium tank post war, but it is good with it's 90mm gun.

Depends on what type though
>>
>>32024639

>>
>>32024665
And the panther is also a medium despite being the size of a KV-1.

Still underpowered and a big target. There are smaller tanks that can do its job without being such a big target.
>>
> Enjoy yourself

You decide to spend the rest of dinner talking and socializing and mingling with the rest of the Councils. Everyone’s more or less in high spirits, telling stories of Fredendall at her expense. It’s all in the name of good fun however and you certainly have yourself quite a bit of fun.

Finally though, the bill arrives. You pull out your wallet, only for Fairless to slap down the money for you. “It’s on me tonight.”

“You sure?” you ask.

“Yeah, I figured this is pretty much the first time in ages the councils have ever actually been like this, we might as well celebrate it,” says Fairless.

“Cool beans,” says Henrietta. “Means we don’t have to pay at all.”

Lisa nods. “Likewise.”

With that, all of you pack up and head out of the fine restaurant into the biting cold night air. The councils all separate and split up. Rankin herself wishes you good luck, then walks away. Nancy says to you, “I’ll give her a call about being the Foreign Exchange overseer.”

“Thanks, Nancy,” you say.

Fairless says, “Anyway, congrats on you winning. Seems like not even rigging the polls could stop you.”

Our Panther tanks weigh 44.8 tons (probably a bit more, since all our extra bits add some weight). A Pershing weighs 46 tons.

Panther's engine produces, stock, around 13-14 hp/ton, a Pershing produces a hair under 12 hp/ton.

Stop being a faggot and do a bit of research before you open your faggot mouth and say faggoty things.

>>32024807
We have 3 tokens antilles.

>>
>>32024801
The point was that the Pershing and Panther have always been "medium," tanks.

It's not a "heavy," tank. It's only a heavy tank compared to the 15-tons lighter Sherman (weighing in around 30 tons).

The Pershing's nearly a foot shorter than the Panther, but otherwise nearly identical in length and width. Ground pressure is similar.

Panther goes a bit faster but this is GUP, not the real world, so once it gets an improved suspension and engine I doubt there'll be many functional differences.

The big thing is that the 90mm will generally penetrate a little better than the 75mm from the Panther, while sporting more effective HE shells (larger bore), while armor piercing shells will generally do more damage upon penetration (again, larger bore - more volume of shell leaving a bigger hole, displacing more things).

Pershing would be a pretty great addition.

Fredendall notices you and screams, “You see this, Pool!? This is what you get for crossing me! I’m getting expelled anyway!” She tosses a container of gas at you. “And I say-“ She’s immediately tackled by a group of Hall Monitors.

Rich people settle civil claims, anon. And then use insurance to pay for it.

99% of civil claims settle anyway. Mental illness doesn't exculpate you in a civil setting since there are actual damages that need to be made whole.

Mental illness defense is also incredibly limited in criminal settings. Basically if you knew you were setting something on fire, you are fucked.

Even if you thought setting something on fire was something benign because you are crazy, you are still guilty. With the number of witnesses and her last outburst, she's super fucked.

You run over to the nearest Rescue student. “Hey! There’s ammo and fuel and it’s ready to burst! Be careful!”

The Rescue student says, “We’re Rescue students! We didn’t get here by wanting to be careful!”

You run down to the hangar. “Gertrude!” Kitten runs after you.

“Stay back, Kitten! Fire’s dangerous!” you say. She grabs you, trying to pull you away.

“Stop!” yells Kitten.

“But the tanks!”

“STOP!” screams Kitten.

Hmm, both sides seem to have about twice as many proponents as previous vote totals this thread. How strange...

No but seriously there is zero reasonable argument for actually trying to interfere here. Even if it wasn't incredibly dangerous and Trude should be a good role-model and leader by not encouraging other tankery students to 'help' deal with the fire, she can do approximately shit-all to help.

Seriously, guys, running into a fire is fucking retarded. Ammo typically doesn't cook off until upwards of 450F (~230C), and if the tank itself isn't on fire, the hull will act as a bigass heat sink, and the interior won't get that hot, at least for as long as it will take for the fire to be put out. Assuming the fire has been burning for about half an hour, which is reasonable considering we just saw the smoke and rushed over, I'd give us a good 2 hours until shit hits the fan as far as tanks go.
>>
>>32026005
This is why I ended up flip flopping my vote. I can see interesting things coming out of both: weeks of repair work and money spent, or saving several vehicles at the cost of hospitalization. Both are in character.

You sigh. You could stop. You could cry about it.

But then Fredendall would win. She would be right. There was no saving this school anyway.

Mind you, she won by pretty much cheating. You don’t imagine that’s a fair way to prove your point as you sit there, Kitten’s arms wrapped around as she cries into your back. Behind you stands your staff as they look at the fire, dumbstruck. You can still hear Fredendall scream incoherently as the same cops that she paid off drag her away. Rescue students are all around, hosing the fire down. You can even hear your own crews arriving, crying out in fear.

Damn it.

You stand up. You’re not going to cry, not now. It’s stupid to run in there and save the tanks by now. If you ran in there, not only would you get hospitalized and maybe even die…

Goddamn it, Kitten would probably follow you in. This ain’t the time to be a girl. Now’s the time to be a woman.

She says, “All we’ve got are hoses. The Catalina maybe but-“

“No need!” screams Marina. “We’ll take it!”

You nod. “Go get them to the Cat, quick as you can.” She nods then leads the Aviation team to an available truck. “The rest of you, go help the Rescue students in anyway you can. Don’t block them, just help keep people away from the HQ!”

Everyone acknowledges, splitting off in different directions.

You say, “Just a small fire. Nothing big.”

Pop some rivets as the metal expands, might crack some welds, strip the rubber off tracks, melt hoses and belts in the engine bay, melted seals around the hatches, ruined interior.

I don't really see how it's a problem though, these tanks would probably get more messed up getting hit by a 128mm gun than a fire.

Worst that can happen is an internal explosion, but you're going to need to get the tank really hot for that.
If petrol starts fuming, you might get detonation there, but other than that not much will happen.

should we call Perrine then? she should have some american engines lying around at least. And be able to tell us how bad the damage might be, and other helpful advice.
>>
>>32026722
I highly doubt that there is anything in the hangar that can apply 1100F directly to the chassis for an extended period of time. We should be fine.
>>
So looking forward, this put the sunday plans into trouble since we were suppose to bring tanks there.

Now at least we'll have about 4 tanks but we can change it into a help-the-tankery-team-from-fredenhall's-dickery party as well. That'll draw more money and donations to get us back on our feet.

Assuming the thing is a total loss, we'll need 20k to replace the tankery HQ.

Depending on the state of our tanks, we can declare an emergency and drain the current treasury to help restore the tanks and the HQ. Surviving tanks can be stored at the Sports Field temporarily until we get the HQ rebuilt.

We'll have a tentative budget of 50,000 if we use the class fund, once monday comes around. I'm sure we can work something out.

Time though, will be critical as we can only effect so many repairs. Priority will have to be placed on tanks going to be used in the coming battle.

“Nancy.” You crouch down next to her, wrapping your arm around her. “Come on, stay with me.”

Nancy says, “All of it. Gone just like that.”

“We’ll bounce back,” you say. “Just hang on with me, alright?”

Nancy nods, still a bit shocked. “O-Okay. Okay.”

You look up to see a red Catalina flying in, it’s engines buzzing as it dumps a huge heaping of seawater right ontop of the hangar and the HQ building. The fire goes from out of control to campfire in an instant. Rescue and Hall Monitor students cheer and whoop as the Catalina flies off.

Thanks, Marina.

A Rescue Student Chief starts directing. “Alright, drop the hoses! Grab extinguishers and fire blankets! Ripley, and get to the ammo and fuel dump as quick as you can! Move it now!” she yells.

Kerosene burns at 2100 degrees C.
>>

Also reverse morale loss
>>
>>32026789
> See if there’s anything else to help with
Extinguishers and blankets we can do. Lets help out and check the damage. To the tanks anyway, with a fire that large, the building will be a write off anyway.
>>
>>32026789
> Call Someone (Perrine)
Let her know we're probably gonna need her for some repair work soon.
>>
>>32026845

Lets assess damage first.

We cant just ask like that without finding out what we need.
>>
>>32026789
> See if there’s anything else to help with
> Call Someone the principal
ask him if we have insurence on the tanks. and to get a lawyer, Arson is a major felony. that bitch isn't getting away so easy now.
>>
>>32026789
> See if there's anything else to help with.

I foresee a looong night with Fairless dealing with this shit.

On a side note, what kind of internal fire suppression system would a building like the clubhouse have?
>>
>>32026863
Right. Putting the cart before the horse.
>>
>>32026873
Standard sprinkler system liek you'd see in a big retail store and whatever.

The ammo dump might have some more containment/fire lockers/etc.

I dunno, it's GUP.
>>
>>32026873
The clubhouse would probably just have alarms. You'd think the tank hangar part would have the big goop extinguishers.
>>
>>32026820
But why would we have any large amount of Kerosene in the hangar? All our tanks run on either Petrol, which burns at 900C, or Diesel, which is lower. There wouldn't be any giant pools of either under the tanks, and if the fuel inside the tanks go up, then we have bigger problems than some frame warping.
>>
>>32026873

Clearly an insufficient one.
>>
>>32026893

Still something to consider. Though it involves a long travelling time. Any tank we send to her will need a week or so. We'll be better served with the local shop unless some tanks have been completely totalled.
>>
>>32026865

Arson is a criminal offense. We are pursuing civil claims, Freddy's actions against us in this context are under the broad category of torts.
>>
>>32026960
>mfw legal analysis. I have found you, brother.
>>
> See if there’s anything else to help with

You walk over to the Chief. “Anything I can do?”

She says, “You’ve done alright. Just rest for now, we can handle this.”

“Well, maybe I can get an extinguisher or- or work-“

She gently sits you down to the ground next to your staff. “Rest,” she says. “You did yourself some good here. Leave this to experts.” She smiles. “Don’t worry, alright?”

You nod slowly, sighing. She stands up and goes back to directing firefighting operations.

Thusly, you five sit on the curb on the street, warmed a bit by adrenaline and the residual heat from the fires and the smoke.

Lisa sighs. “This sucks.” Ramirez nods at that.

Nancy says, “All that work for nothing.”

“It won’t be for nothing,” you say. “Let’s… we can assess things in the morning when it’s all died down.”

Kitten leans on you, wiping some tears from her eyes. “You almost ran in and got yourself killed, you know that, right?”

You nod, wrapping your arms around Kitten and bringing her closer to you. “I know. Thanks, Kitten.”

Thusly, you watch as the fires die down in the buildings and through the night.

You got yourself some work ahead of you now.

That's it for today's thread. I will return tomorrow at 3PM EST as usual.

Follow at: https://twitter.com/GermanSchteel

See you next time.

>>
Remember when people were speculating Freddy had a twisted crush on Trudy? I think I would have preferred that to this.
>>
>>32027027

Schteel, can we reverse that morale drop tomorrow?

We want to do so but it just wasnt appropriate at that time IC.
>>
>>32027027
Thanks for running Schteel, see ya tomorrow.
>>
>>32027027
You blueballing cunt.
>>
>>32027027
So whats the damage doc? Lay it on me.
>>
>>32027027
Thanks for running!
>>
>>32027049
>>32027060
There will be a chance to reverse the Morale drop tomorrow. Free of charge even.
>>
>>32027027
How well did we handle the situation?

Are we insured?

Also what happen to the sprinkler system.

We need to give barecat crew a big hug for the Catalina.

Can we reverse morale, I'm afraid some crew hit zero
>>
>>32027027
So, what would have happened if Trudy ran inside?
>>
>>32027077
>I'm afraid some crew hit zero

Excel anon here.

Naval Engineering is at -20
>>
>>32027043
She's been a spoiled, petty, vindictive bitch opposed to anything that let her coast to the end of the year and closing the school. She probably would have done something like this eventually anyways even after graduation.

Dammit Schteel, this cliffhanger is worse than the show.
>>
>>32027027
did we reverse that morale drop or not Schteel?
>>
>>32026985

Civil Litigation Quest when?

Cute girls doing depositions and document review
>>
>>32027075
If your giving this to us, free of charge, we're really fucked in terms of damage.

Are we insured?

Also can we sue?

Only tanks still safe are the Brumbur and T-34
>>
>>32027092
BAD END
>>
>>32027092
I think it should be fairly obvious that BAD THINGS would have happened.
>>
>>32026873
Piddly-ass celing sprinklers, if it's anything like the office buildings I work on. If we're really lucky, some kind of halon extinguisher for the garage, and the tanks almost certainly have some sort of gas-based fire suppressant inside.
>>
>>32027092

Tackled by someone sane, or we wake up several days later in the hospital, in a worse situation because of lost time.
>>
>>32027109
Nah. It's nota quest thing I just enoy it when people aren't shits about the legal process.

I'm more of a Wetwork Idols kind of guy anyways.
>>
>>32027121

Ramirez Quest of course
>>
>>32027092
Honestly?

Smoke inhalation.

>>32027108

>>32027114
LGA's insurance policies run under Naval Studies Administration. Emergency plans can be discussed with them in times like this.

Yes, you can sue. Naval Studies Law covers that.
>>
>>32027109

I'd rather do Jolly Lesbian Schoolgirl Quest.
>>
>>32027134
Or German asks for a D20 and we get a nat 20, leading to Kitten discovering her latent power over raging fires and Gertrude.
>>
>>32027161

>Naval Studies Law covers that.

Admiralty law is finally useful!
>>
>>32027161
Was the fire inevitable?
>>
>>32027236
That's something I'll leave to the very end of the Quest along with other choices.
>>
>>32027161
Well I guess that's what we're going to do tomorrow.

The Brumbar and T-34 are safe right? They were at Mr.Miksha's shop. Right?

We won't get the full lawsuit but maybe a settlement, so we have to milk this for all it's worth
>>
>>32027203
That's another big question: is this under UCMJ jurisdiction or home port (DC) law?
>>
>>32027236
If we lost the election we wouldn't have had the fire.
We would still have the fire
>>
>>32027260
Can you at least tell us if we handle the situation at it's best and what we did wrong in this incident?
>>
>>32027027

Also, thank's for running. Good fun tonight. Hopefully I can make it tomorrow.

Being a NEET pays off for once.
>>
>>32027284
You handled the situation very well I'd say. The vote in particular was something that inspired me to not run Gertrude into the building and get herself into a coma.
>>
>>32027261

I just dont think we'll get the settlement done anytime soon. This sort of thing can take months while we need the cash like right now.

We cant count on it.

Personal jurisdiction a shit
>>
>>32027260
Fair enough.
>>
>>32027236

I guess that if we weren't all so combative against fredenhall, we might have gotten her tsundere for Trude and the whole reelection fiasco might not have happened.
>>
>>32027420
That was like...the first thread.
>>
>>32027458
Yeah, we never could've predicted it would lead to this.
>>
>>32027458

Considering that she even gave a large donation to the tank team at the start, totally possible to have steered it that way.
>>
>>32027520
She did that just to see us fail and fuck with us.

I'm confused of why do you think she was none other then a bitch
>>
>>32027324
Will that effect on how much we lost?

Our tanks should be fine probably but the building itself is fucked
>>
>>32027520
She gave us...20k? And then wanted an unknown bet which probably would have screwed us over completely.

That was also after stealing....5-10k?
>>
>>32027576

Actually the bet was for the 20k and she gave it to us anyways even though we failed the terms of the bet we never agreed to.
>>
Now how am I supposed to ship Fredendall with Trudy?
>>
>>32027623
That's because to take the warehouse we were using to sponsor a whole shit load of teams.

We've been cordial with her, but she's been a bitch.

Hopefully we'll still make a profit after reapiring our tanks and headquarters
>>
>>32027623
My memory is that she just gave us 20k because.

Then wanted a bet for more.

Just consider that to snap in this way Freddy must have some pretty serious issues. She needs Trudy's help for sexual healing.
>>
So Fredendall has legitimate psychological issues right?

She has this, more likely >>32027882
I won't celebrate her fall, but I won't soften towards her either.

Ok, just a little celebrating, like one cupcake with a candle. With Kitten.
>>
I'm pretty sure we will be in the green after repairign and fixing our tanks and base.

The tanks shouldn't be really damage due to the Tankery protection coating.
>>
>>32026992
well that was utterly fucking depressing

way to ruin our winning the election and destroy everything we accomplished...
>>
>>32027077
>Are we insured?

>Also what happen to the sprinkler system.
this is why we bought the most fucking expensive hangar possible and fredendal burns it all to the ground with a fucking match...

fucking thanks for nothing GS
>>
>>32028056

Cheer up anon, we can fix this with some proper planning:
>>32026774

Big heavy expensive tanks for the roster might be out, though.
>>
>>32028083
We bought it because it would fit 20 tanks, not because it was invulnerable.
>>
>>32027161
>LGA's insurance policies run under Naval Studies Administration. Emergency plans can be discussed with them in times like this.
>
>Yes, you can sue. Naval Studies Law covers that.
that does not mean shit when we've got no tanks anymore...

sueing for money takes fucking months and if we forfeit a match well thats the tournament and the ship gone
>>
>>32027671
You're not anon.
>>
>>32026774
>Assuming the thing is a total loss, we'll need 20k to replace the tankery HQ.
40k for the building anon

and if its a total loss, we won't be able to get enough tanks to even be competitive in our next match

realistically speaking, as long as none of the ammo cooked off IN the vehicles, they are all perfectly fine, they may need some replaced electronics and sensitive gear like maybe optics and some engine parts, but every single one of them would be largely unharmed by the fire

if thats not the case and GS just FIAT's all our tanks away then it would take a couple hundred grand to get back to what we had, which we would not be able to get in time

tldr; the tanks are fine otherwise this would be a railroaded bad end
>>
Rolled 5

>>32028124

Look at >>32026774

If we disregard the immediate task of rebuilding the club room, we have a 50k repair slush fund, along with the the potential fund raising on Sunday.

We cancel whichever tank is suppose to undergo upgrading next.

That leaves us with 2 tanks.

The Chaffee coming in is Comp spec, so we have 3.

Within a week, the tank shop should be able to repair 7 at the very least, assuming a one tank per day policy. If we help out daily, we might be able to bump that up somewhat.

At the very least we, have 10 tanks we can bring to the next fight.

Poor odds but we can do it.
>>
>>32028222
>Within a week, the tank shop should be able to repair 7 at the very least
dude, the tanks don't need repair, some of their internal components might need replacing and cleaning out, but not repair

unless you get a sustained fuel/propellant burn, the tank itself could not give any less fucks, just some of the gear inside needs to be replaced

all we need to do it replace the damaged minor parts and clean them, no repairs necessary, its a building fire put out with water ffs not an oil or fuel fire that you need lethal gases to extinguish

our tanks should be fine after a couple days work and if they are not, the only reason for it would be Schteel feels the need to be a railroading cunt
>>
>>32028222
Dude, our tanks are mostly fine since they are equipped with the Tankery gear.

They used to let flamethrower tanks into the mix. Our tanks will suffer only moderate damge.
