With the Sith Empire on the defensive against the mighty Galactic Republic, the Sith Order has grown desperate to replace those slain during the recent fighting. More and more force sensitive beings have been sent to Korriban to compete for the chance to join the order. A Kaleesh male from a new batch of acolytes, you have just arrived on Korriban, and have been given your first trial. You were told to reach the Sith Academy by fighting your way through the Tomb of Ajunta Pall. Making your way into the tomb, you decided to eliminate some of your competition. Remaining hidden just inside the tomb, you ambushed a Twi'lek acolyte from your group. Your initial attack failed, but after a brief battle, you managed to slay her, and then proceeded to make it appear as though she fell to the beasts in the tombs. However, during your work, a human acolyte from your group found you. You attacked him, and were disarmed. However, after taking a cut to your side, you slew him as well. Taking no more chances, you made your way through the tomb, which two acolytes who went before you cleared out. Now, you stand at the shadow of the Sith Academy.
>>
It's time
>>
Exiting the Tomb, you find your field of vision filled by a massive building. The structure towers even over the great tombs in the valley, and stands proudly at its end. You realize at once that you have reached your destination.

The Sith Academy.

You don't see the Zabrak or Rattataki. In all likelihood, they're inside with the Overseer. You should probably go and speak with him, so he knows you survived and completed your trial. Or, you could take some time to explore the academy. Then again, perhaps you should see if you can find a medcenter to get your injury taken care of.

>A. Go inside, ask someone where to find Overseer Damul

>B. Explore the Academy

>C. Search for a medcenter

>D. Go back into the Tomb and ambush the next acolyte that comes ( 70 or higher)
>>
>Welcome to Sith Quest

Here is the basic layout. Decisions will be made by voting on various options. Whichever option has the most votes after ten minutes is the winner. All votes are final, so choose wisely. Also, you can add some dialogue to your vote, if you wish. During combat, if you want to say something, just type what you want to say with your vote. During conversations, if multiple people supply different dialogue, I will combine as many as I can so long as they do not contradict one another, in order to avoid a conversation taking several hours.

>Important

The combat system will be dice based and use a d100 system. In order to succeed in those options, one out of the first three rolls must be equal to or greater than the specified number. However, if a number of 4 or lower is rolled in the first three, then whatever you were attempting will go very badly. On the other hand, if a number of 96 or higher is rolled in the first five, then whatever you are attempting will go very well unless a roll of 4 or below occurred in the first three.

Rolls will not occur until the voting time is up and the option for a particular roll has won

Let's not walk around with some wounds you never know who might be plotting our demise
>>
>>32022473
You figure that it's probably best to get your wound taken care of before reporting to the Overseer. After all, he could assign you your next trial the second he sees you, and you probably won't want to face it while injured.

You approach the academy, ascending a large ramp and passing through the wide entrance. Just inside, you discover that the halls are lined by people in red armor with matching capes and carrying staffs. One gestures to you, and speaks as soon as he has your attention.

"Acolyte, you might want to head for the medcenter. It's on the Eastern side of the academy. Just take a right in the main chamber, and it will be at the end of the hall," he explains.

Following his advice, you first walk into the main chamber, where acolytes talk around and kneel before a large pyramid shaped stone of some kind that appears to have chunks missing from it. Taking a right, you walk down a narrow hallway before finding yourself standing just outside of what must be the medcenter.

A few beds against the walls, a kolto tank, and a surgical table are all that fill the room. Well, those, and a single, grey, humanoid droid that walks towards you.

"Well, what have we here? Another acolyte got himself hurt and needs to be fixed," it begins as it gets closer, examining your side. "What, did you fall on your blade? Or have you been breaking academy rules and killing your fellow acolytes? Either way, you're shaping up to be a poor potential Sith. Oh, right, where are my manners? I am CH-4N, medical supervisor of the Sith Academy. Are you going to come in or are you planning to simply obstruct the entrance all day?"

You enter the room and take a seat on one of the beds. The droid walks over and examines your wound once again, before making a "tsk" sound.

"A blade wound," it observes. "The looters in the tombs carry vibroblades, but this one clearly came from a training saber. Killing other acolytes is against the rules, you know."

It turns away and walks over to the table, gathering several objects. It returns to you, then, and disinfects your wound before bandaging it.

"You will have to let it heal on its own," it tells you. "A true Sith will embrace the pain and become stronger from it. I wonder if you are powerful enough for that. Now, get going. I have better things to do than entertain weak acolytes. Shoo! Shoo!"

You get up and leave the obnoxious droid behind, "Smell you later, Robutt."

"Oh, how clever. Too bad your combat skills evidently can't match your wit," it replies as you leave.

Walking back to the main chamber of the academy. It occurs to you that Overseer Damul never told you where in the academy you could find him. You seek out another of those red armored figures, asking where to go.

"He's in Overseer Harkun's old chambers," the woman tells you. "Take a left out of the main chamber, then another left at the end of the hall."

Following the directions, you make your way down the hall at the left of the main chamber, and take another left, coming to the entrance of Damul's chambers. Strolling inside, you find four of the other acolytes already there. It seems everyone you didn't kill made it through their trial.

"Ah, another survivor. Good," Damul says as you approach the group. "Having two acolytes fail on the first trial is bad enough, three would have simply been disgraceful."

"Looks like he came close to failing," the Zabrak acolyte comments. "Had a little trouble in the tomb? Needed a visit to the medcenter?"

"Had a little encounter with your mother," you reply. "It was hard, but I managed to come out on 'top' ".

The Zabrak growls as the other three acolytes chuckle, though the human female shuts up as the Zabrak glares at them all.

"Enough," Overseer Damul tells you all. "I don't much care how you were injured. All that matters is that you have survived. Your trial is complete. It seems that Zevra and Ralsun won't be joining us. Just like that, two potential obstacles in becoming Sith have been removed from your path. But, there are still four of you, and only one shall become Lord Velas's apprentice. You are all finished for today. You will find your bed chambers in the North end of the first floor. Report to me tomorrow morning for your next trials."

The other Kaleesh silently exits the room, the human woman doing the same a moment later. The Zabrak, however, marches over to you and gets right in your face.

"Watch yourself, boneface. That little scrape on your side is nothing compared to what I can do to you," he warns.

"Talgur, that is enough!" Damul tells him. "I have dismissed you both. Now, go!"

Talgur glares at you for another moment before turning to the Overseer and nodding. "As you wish, Overseer."

With that, he exits the room.

Exiting the room after Talgur, you take the opportunity to explore the Sith academy. You begin by walking around the first floor. Behind the main room, at the North End of the academy, you locate the bed chamber; a massive room filled with dozens of bunkbeds and lockers. You notice that the Kaleesh has already claimed his bunk, and is sound asleep. There are other acolytes in the room, however, so attempting anything would really not be worth the risk. Moving on, you pass the chambers of many more Overseers, and even a small cantina, where the Rattataki is downing several glasses of some sort of beverage.

B. Can always explore later, when we don't have opportunities to size up who we're about to murder.
>>
>>32024250
>>32024021
You decide that this is a good opportunity to size up one of your rivals. With that in mind, you walk over to the Rattataki, who turns and smirks up at you as you approach.

"Hey there...uh, which boneface are you?" he greets. "Oh, right, the one who nearly died in the tombs. Not gonna bother with your name, you're obviously not going to live long enough for me to need to know it."

He laughs, leaning back and splashing some of his drink on the floor. He gulps the rest of it down before slamming his glass on the bar and standing up.

"You're a dead man, Kaleesh. If the trials don't get you, I will," he promises. "Only one of us is going to be Sith, and you clearly don't have what it takes. Someone as weak as you is nothing but prey to someone as strong as me. I hope I get the chance to hunt you down and gut you like an animal."

How cute, he thinks he can defeat you.

Holding out your hands again, you unleash another torrent of lightning upon your foe. He screams in agony as you continuously pour more and more of it from your hands. The smell of burning flesh fills the halls, and his screams, rising in volume, do the same. The blade falls from his grip as he falls to his hands and knees, his body shaking with the electric shocks running through him. Some of the acolytes look away, while others grin sadistically at the sight before them.

"Please! No more!" your "opponent" begs, weeping at your feet, ironically, begging like a dog.

"Three to go," you whisper to yourself as you continue to electrocute the Rattataki.

His screams become pleas for mercy as you pour more and more of the dark side lightning into him, causing his body to contort in agony. His pleas soon become pathetic, broken whimpers as you mercilessly torture him, breaking his will to fight, and it seems, will to live. You feed on his suffering and fear, turning it into strength, strength you use to continue what you are doing.

The two red armored figures approach you, drawing their staves.

"That's enough, acolyte!" one of them tells you.

>A. Kill the Rattataki, then it will be enough

"As you wish," you reply, finally ending your torment of the acolyte, who curls into a fetal position and weeps to himself. "My apologies, I don't quite know my own strength."

You cast a knowing look around to the assembled acolytes, some of whom look at you with fear, some with respect, and others, both.

The two armored figures pick up the trembling acolyte and carry him off towards the medcenter, while the other acolytes disperse. You feel slightly weary, having used a fair bit of energy tormenting your foe. Maybe it would be wise to get some sleep.

>A. Go get some sleep

>B. Explore

After all that has happened, you decide it best to go and get some sleep. So, you do exactly that, retiring to the bed chambers. You find the bunk that has been assigned to you, climb in, cover up, and rest, preparing for the trial of tomorrow.

Just use both light and dark without surrendering to the dark side.

How hard that is is up for argument.

Seek Balance I guess. In simplistic terms I see the Light side of the Force as compassion for others, self-restraint, and sacrifice while the Dark side is about indulging, selfishness, and forcing things to ones will.

Being Grey would be a mix between the two.

>>32026839
Good fun. How much does our character know about Sith society by the way? Or just any useful information in general.
>>
>>32026871
>>32026917
Soo being a normal person instead of being either really fucking intense or really fucking calm?
>>
>>32026963
Yeah but it is usually implied that using the Force naturally leads you down one path or the other.

You either become a stoic monk to maintain yourself and still use the force or you force it to be your bitch. A Grey Jedi would have the strength of will to walk the line between those and still have an impressive control of the Force.
>>
>>32026917
You know relatively little about Sith society, though you understand that they generally aren't very accepting of aliens and that many don't approve of how many alien acolytes are training to become Sith
>>
>>32027001

Anyone mind explaining to me what all this grey jedi wank is about?
>>
>>32027259
There is the light side and then there is the dark side. Balancing between them is Grey.

It's neat because it isn't explored as often in Star Wars media and the Force is kind of boringly binary.
>>
>>32027347
I know what they are, just not why people are so caught up in the idea.
>>
So what would be interesting about playing a Grey Sith?
>>
>>32027402
Because tg doesn't like to be forced to choose between Dudley Do-Right and Snidely Whiplash.
>>
>>32027402
Because of two characters, Jolee Bindo and Motherfucking Kyle Katarn.

Well that and it's often the most down to earth out of the three sides.

>>32027155
