You are a Magical Girl, and you've just teleported yourself into hell.

No, that's not some colorful description, or creative turn of phrase. Even if you've never been religious - your own upbringing giving you no reason to believe in a forgiving, benevolent entity in the sky - you're familiar with how some beliefs describe that which awaited sinners in the afterlife.

A realm of fire and brimstone, of a crimson sky mottled with black, tumorous clouds.

A blasted wasteland of scorched earth, covered in powdered bone and blackened flesh.

And the skulls. Cairns of them. Hills, mountains of them. Bleached, picked clean of flesh, all of them grinning, all of them crying scarlet tears as the cancerous clouds above drowned everything with a slashing rainfall of blood.
>>
>>32079236

And at the very center of it all - sitting on a massive, towering, spiked bronze throne - you see something that should not be. Something that had been a Magical Girl, but twisted, perverted, torn apart and blasphemed into something else.

A giant monster of scarred, blood-cracked fleshmetal blades, claws, wings and fire.

Armor - spiked and terrible - covers most of its frame, with each spike on its shoulders impaling a rattling skull from jaw to scalp.

Its limbs - instruments of bladed torture and death, much like how it lived life as a Magical Girl, are now rendered in much more terrifying form, the once-black fleshmeal now veined and threaded with glowing, molten bronze.

Its wings - where there had been none before - are huge, veined leathery pinions, folded behind it and brutally thorned at the tips.

Its face - the only thing recognizable from its twisted form - grins with a forest of razor-sharp teeth blackly charged with death, an obscenely-long tongue the color of turned meat slapping against its lips as it cackles in monstrous glee. Relishing the promise of imminent slaughter as its impossibly-corrupt, impossibly-black eyes shine with an animalistic cruelty and hunger.

This is not the grinning, upside-down Witch that heralded the End of All Things that you were expecting. Nor is this hell the crumbling, building-filled, post-apocalyptic battleground you'd braced yourself for, with shadow-clones of Magical Girls that had been and will be trying their level best to kill you in droves.

This is something worse.

You are Chitose Yuma, Disgraced Culexus of the Ninth, and you're about to save the world.

[1/2]
>>
>>32079240

When you first came to after the teleportation, you thought you'd died. Nothing but darkness stretched out around you, nothing but silence filled your ears no matter how hard you tried to listen.

It's only when your suit finally caught up with you, your retinal display coming alive, beginning to frantically cycle filters and visual scrubbers to give you a clearer picture - that you realized just where you are. Where you are, and what you're supposed to kill to prevent the entire world from meeting its premature end.

You saw the hellscape. You saw the skulls. And you saw - in her most terrifying form, taller than a building, sitting in a throne bigger than a stadium - hell given form. War given form.

Kharn Valnikov. The Warmaster of the Ninth Officio Assassinorum. A gigantic double-bladed chainaxe, brilliant gold, resting across her lap, propped up by her throne's armrests. A skyscraper-sized, serrated black blade gripped by the handle with a clawed fist, its entire length burning with golden god-runes.

You also saw things. Things that could never have been the product of a Magical Girl's despair. Things with brass skin and diseased oil for blood; spindly, spined creations clutching blades that dripped broken souls. Daemon-breeds, winged and unwinged, clawed or possessing hands that were grotesquely simian, unarmoured or clad in plate of bone, gold, brass and bronze.

You also heard the screaming, of course. You couldn't miss that. Not even with your helmet's sound dampeners turned up all the way.

Screaming. Nothing but screaming. Outside your own helmet, inside your own mind, even leaving your own lips. A jarring cascade of a thousand screaming throats singing a song of pain and despair all at the same time, drowning out all sound, drowning out all other senses.

[2/3]
>>
>>32079253

And you had all but mere seconds to take all of this in before you realized something else.

You are all alone. Knee-deep in the slashing rain of foul ichor, blood fragments and trashing daemonkind, impotently gripping a spear you're trying very hard to remember how to use - you are well and truly alone.

Something...something must have happened. You were supposed to be teleported into a ring formation with everyone else. But something went wrong, and you're all alone.

...

What do you do?

Is the only difference between Malal's suit and other Culexus suits the skull?
>>

if I understand things correctly Culexus suits are identical, that of Malal should be the same as everybody else. Except Cavefish and her shark jaw thing and those Culexus that didn't do that vision of a friend's death thing to be allowed the skull paint job.
there was the joke about Kharn being unable to tell malal and other Culexus apart, remember?

You grip the spear in your hands hard enough to make the metal creak between your fingers - and it's here that you break into a run. Forcing your own limbs, your own body to move, despite sanity dictating that you drop down, curl up and wait for the death you so richly deserved.

Each sluggish, painful step splashing blood and bone fragments everywhere, creating noise that you desperately pray would not be heard over Kharn's thunderous cackling, would not be noticed by the shrieking throng of daemons littering this hellscape.

The first place of safety - or what could at least pass a temporary, ethereal shadow of it in this kind of place - is behind a row of ruined stone pillars, each one sundered to what looks like half of the height it used to stand.

The blood sloshing continuously against their bases having painted a permanent rusty tattoo on their alabaster surfaces, bits of bone and teeth embedded on their otherwise smooth surfaces where the blood might have smashed the odd floating skull into them.

You drop behind them, not caring that you're submerging yourself in waist-deep arterial crimson, not caring that you're slowly feeling it soak deep into your suit.

You crash a fist against the side of your helmet to clear your retinal display of static, before blearily blink-clicking your codec to scan and cycle for all available frequencies in a four-second interval.

Someone...someone has to have made it here too, right? Even taking into consideration how unreliable teleportation could be, even if the worst possible scenario happened - someone else should have been able to make it here.

With a small, pitiful beep, your codec system begins to scan - and even before it could start counting down before it skips to the next frequency, a clear transmission immediately comes on.

[1/2]
>>
>>32080177

Only it's not something you ever wanted to hear.

"P-please, no, please don't let me die like this--Blessed Lady, please, I can't die here, I promised--"

"--Get up! GET UP! A KNIGHT DOES NOT JUST LAY DOWN AND DIE! For fuck's sake, I trained you myself, and I'll kill you myself if you don't get back into this fight--"

"I-I'm going home, I'm dreaming, this is a nightmare, if I close my eyes I'll be in my room a-and my mom will be there and I'll apologize for running away--n-no! NO! GET AWAY FROM ME--"

Screaming. More screaming from the vox. But instead of the wordless, thoughtless shrieking from earlier - this was much worse. As if some sadistic Culexus was ripping thoughts from those about to die, emotions translated into perfect spoken form, and broadcasted over the codec. Pleas for help, for mercy, for courage. Prayers. Litanies of Intercession, of Pity, of Hatred.

But most of all, death screams.

Somewhere in this inferno, the rest of the Walpurgisnacht Crusade was dying without you.

You swallow painfully, drily, and make to stop your codec system from scanning when it locks on to one particularly-strong one.

"PENDRAGON!" It's High Marshal Alondight, screaming profanities into the vox. "PENDRAGON, YOU FUCKING COWARD, BACK IN FORMATION! PICK UP YOUR SWORD AND GET BACK IN FORMATION, OR I WILL BRING YOU BACK TO YOUR SISTERS IN A COFFIN!"

You immediately connect to her frequency - rather, you brute-force it, ignoring the harsh whine of feedback and the rasp of static as the connection is established. Alondight finally responds after a moment later, her voice chilly and brittle with forced calm.

[2/3]
>>
>>32080188

"This is the High Marshal. If this is a survivor hoping to re-establish contact with the rest of the Crusade, state your name, rank, and the name of my favorite pastry and we'll link up with you at once. If this is one of the daemons who had impersonated one of my own Knights earlier, only to cut off Enyo's remaining flesh-arm when she reached out for you - know that I will have your skull for a fucking pisspot before this day ends."

You very nearly sob your answer, but you at least manage to get it out - making sure to repeat the last requirement clearly, lest they mistake it for something else. Trying your hardest to ignore the implications of the High Marshal's cautious greeting.

"Y-Yuma...? You're still alive?" All the frost and barely-kept rage from Alondight's voice vanishes in that instant. "We...we thought you were dead. We thought we'd lost you--"

No! No, you're still here! You're all alone, but you're still here!

"I hear you, I...yes, thank the First Knight, our Emperor's Champion is still with us." There's a beeping sound, and your retinal display notifies you that someone from the west had locked onto your frequency. "I have a lock on your position. We should be there momentarily. Are you in suitable cover?"

Y-yes. Yes, barely.

"Sit tight until we arrive. Ten minutes at the most." It's here, then, that Alondight chuckles, both relief and fatigue making her sound feeble. Infirm. "I...I have a hard time convincing myself you're still alive. But you are no illusion, no deceiver. We'll carve out a victory from this yet, even if the blood price has been too much to bear."

...Wait. That's...why is she speaking like it's been a while, already? It's only been minutes since you teleported here!

Silence, except for the thunderous cackling of the blood-crazed monster enthroned on a spiked amalgamation of hate and bronze.

[3/4]
>>
>>32080204

"N-no, Yuma. It hasn't." The High Marshal's voice shakes a bit. "We've been fighting for two hours in this hell. When the teleportation smoke cleared, we...we were all scattered. The formation was broken before it could even be formed."

She pauses here to take a shuddering breath. "And she was ready for us. Her, her champions, and her horde. It...it was a massacre, Yuma, and we had prayed you had died before they started killing us." A hollow, cold laughter leaves her lips, replayed perfectly by the vox. "As it turns out, the First Knight denies granting prayers if it means dying a painless death."

No. No, that's not...

These lines disturbed me
>>
>>32080344
I find this somewhat curious actually.

I mean Yuma mindraped Girl A. As in Murderface/Chiaki. We also know that the entity speaking to Yuma is Homucifer.

So does Homucifer still consider Chiaki a part of herself to the point where she wants revenge for what happened. I thought Homucifer had become a totally separate entity (even if one born from Homura) and that she hated Chiaki.

So why did she take two hours like this from Yuma, when it was Girl A that was violated? Should she not be congratulating Yuma for ripping Girl A's mind apart? Whats up with that?

Honor their sacrifice but don't weep for their passing, they died doing what they do best- dying.

>>32080401
At that point, I do believe Chiaki was more Homura than Murderface. More like Moemura, actually.

So I'm guessing Homucifer had a slight attunement to her at the time, and felt the backlash of Yuma's mindrape.
>>
>>32080434
This could be a very real possibility.
>>
>>32080426
It should strike a chord, when you get down to it it is still teenage girls dying in horrible, unfair ways. 'Mooks' or not, its still fucking tragic.

When do i get a SoL chapter with Midori?

When do we go back to gathering golden weapons?

I wait and wait and wait but the OP image crushes my hopes every time.
>>
>>32080429
But I was under the impression that Homucifer could not do anything to Girl A/Chiaki. Or atleast Dildoes implied that Homucifer could not even appear to Chiaki, and that if she could, all would be lost. Thats why Chiaki only ever saw her in a mirror during a seeing.

So why would Homucifer care that Yuma mindraped Girl A? Care enough to want revenge of sorts? I don't get it.
>>
>>32080450
Pretty much this, If Yuma would have done her job right, some might have not died but again no consequnce since their mooks.

Except we know for a fact that the templars and Culexus all (baring a few notable exceptions) die today. Now or later, during those two hours, or sometime after, its happens. Still sad though.
>>
>>32080532
He should just include an option for Chiaki to shoot herself every time we get to make a choice, then.

Fair point, but the casualties overall would have been less. Evil Homura fucked with us at the last minute and messed up our line. Resulting in more MGs to die since we were not in place when they started their own assault.

And if we followed that line of logic the whole quest, we'd never have Midori.

The horrifying theoretical moral implications of that attitude aside, dismissing mooks with "It's their job to die" has repeatedly proven to be a generally bad idea in this quest.

>>
>>32080538
Yes i know and you would still be stupid for thinking QM is to blame for an option they include. If you don't want something to be picked, then you don't pick it. You would be rightfully angry if he included several mindrape options with no other alternatives. As it stands, he asked if it should be done or not and players chose to do it.
>>
>>32080587
Only reason Midori didn't get the chopping block was due to that we needed to interrogate her for information if I recall.

They do not have such a luxury. Besides everyone who's a mook or not were prepared to die, they just didn't expect everything to go FUBAR like that and shaken their morale.

No one want to die a painful death or alone. Even for knights.

But again we don't know them nor will we so why bother?

I seem to recall Yuma justifying it via Haruka. That is to say, Haruka convinced Yuma that mindrape was not the wrong thing to do, and so Yuma thought Malal would agree with Haruka and understand/accept.

Cannot really say that it was off-character either. Stupid probably, but given all the stress and horror and all, Yuma being stupid is perfectly in-character and understandable.

You grip your spear tighter to your suit's breastplate as you force yourself to calm down. To calm down, to kill your emotions, and think things through in a logical way. To better aid your decision-making process and to be of actual use to someone else. Because otherwise, you're just going to be another useless cunt in a suit, someone who might just as well lie down and die.

One thing at a time, you murmur to yourself, breathing slow and breathing deep. Tackle obstacles and issues one by one, not all at once. Ignore the temptation of hysteria, no matter the amount of promised catharsis. Panic and fear are dangerous indulgences that should be saved for later, in friendlier territory.

...Heh. Listen to yourself. Malal's prodigy, recounting the very first lessons you learned, while sitting ass-deep in blood and skulls. Two hours into the end of the fucking world.

After a few moments, something resembling normalcy bleeds back into your frenzied, panicked mind, and you're able to at least reply to Alondight without stuttering or stumbling over yourself. In fact, when you speak, it almost...sounds like Malal. At least, how calm she usually sounds even when things are going completely batshit insane.

It's here that you ask her all the questions you can come up with without sounding like a panicked child. How many of the Crusade survived, and how many of those can still fight? What kind of attack plan does Alondight have in mind, and if she does, what are its chances of success, and if there are any alternatives to it?

But most importantly - is Cavefish, that big dumb idiot, still alive?

"Twenty-five of the Walpurgisnacht Crusade are still alive, Yuma." Alondight replies. "Twenty of my knights, although I wager I can only rely on nineteen to fight with any real courage. As for your sisters, I...I am sorry to say that we found only five of you still alive. The rest were either slain, devoured, or turned. You make the sixth we've found."

She pauses here to clear her throat. "And yes, we do have a plan, but as you heard earlier, our enemies may be listening in, so I'll fill you in when we've linked back up." Despite the sobriety of the situation, however, you hear a note of glee in her voice.

"As for the last question, well--"

"YUMA-CHAN!" Cavefish's voice, wracked by static and torn by signal flux, nevertheless booms its familiar, cringingly-loud way into your helmet's in-build speakers, making your ears ring with feedback. "

Yuma-chan, you're still okay! I, I thought you were a goner for sure, a-and when I found Miss Alondight I cried for ten minutes straight because they weren't with you and they were supposed to, and--"

You find yourself laughing at this. Laughing, while tears of relief drip wetly down your cheeks, making your retinal display blur.

Silly, dumb Cavefish, your best friend who drove Malal crazy with her innocent honesty and somewhat simple way of thinking.

Idiot Cavefish, who still thought of you as her best friend even if this - all this - is all your fault.

You manage to tell her to calm down long enough for you to get a word in edgewise. It seems that she was also lost during the teleportation - but unlike you, she followed her own advice, and kept moving forward.

Forward - where your enemies are, and where your friends will be and where you'll do the most good. Always forward.

Following that old adage led her to the remaining Black Templars, with Mustakrakish already out of ammo and was now seeing use as a heavy bludgeon.

"That...that thing at the center, Yuma-chan," Cavefish asks. "Is...is that really Miss Kharn? Is that the Warmaster?"

How do you respond?

[]I...I don't really know.
[]Really? It doesn't look as ugly as her.

Oh I understand clearly but when this has been mentioned repeated for roughly 50 threads ago or more, and reminded that occasionally and seeing the memorial of the magical girls on a wall.

That should give you a hint of how shitty the situation it was.

Nothing we can do will change that since this is a flashback.

Also those girls dying was a way to show how bad the situation was. To feel emotionally invested in nameless grunts in which we have heard a long time ago and told repeated that a lot of them died, makes it hard to connect with them.

these are all ostensibly related by the manner we were told so telling malal was the safest thing possible beyond not fucking up in the first place
>>
>>32080991
Look at what's happening with Crix right now. On a non-anonymous forum, this kind of drama would be happening with a lot more people.

Everyone would be a namefag, and it would really shit up the threads.
>>
>>32080991
Different people, different board culture, most boards don't allow anonymous shitposting, a lot of people will miss the announcement of venue change, etc. Unless there's a really big reason to switch, we're just going to have to live with samefagging and Crix.
>>
>>32080997
Do you not consider any historical events tragic? Does viewing something horrible happening to someone in the past elicit no sympathetic reaction in you?

Even if you say no, you must understand that other people do, right? And thus how making sweeping declarative statements like you have been makes you both wrong, and a self important asshole?

It's a lot easier to have a sane, rational, non-hateful argument between two people than it is to have one between two faceless mobs of indefinite size. And when you get mad, generally it's aimed at that person, instead of the whole group.

So do Al-Quaida maniacs. What she believes in is monstrous and as far up in the hiearchy as she was she ran the shop at least as much as Ahriman did. There's limits to the "I was just following orders" excuse and they've been breached a long time ago.

>>
>>32081656
Have you ever heard of making a new thread if the old one actually ever drops off before it's done?
>>
>>32081569
You're missing the point. Erebus was a neutral character. She trusted and believed in Ahriman way before the Ahri went bugfuck insane. She was perfectly loyal and thus did not care how evil her beloved Warmaster was.
Erebus herself isn't evil, but she didn't care for herself or anything other than Ahriman and the Officio.
>>
>>32081668

Well, it did happen once. Thread finished on page 10 and it fell off before it could be archived, so it's not that far-fetched a thing to worry about

She loved and trusted her warmaster, so she believed whatever she was told, and thus never really considered anything as evil. She was gullible, maybe didn't think enough, and loyal to a fault, not so much bad.
>>
>>32081708

I don't remember the number, but it looks... Slightly different than the others in the suptg archive and none of the images work because it was an html file that was saved and sent to the administrator to upload.

>>

>That's pretty solidly evil, bro.
It's called unconditional love. Erebus was a rather naive and gullible character, everything considering. She was basically the perfect knight, the kind that automatically rationalizes any faults his master has.
It's rather ironic.

True. Erebus's love was expressed in undying devotion and blind loyalty. Once again, Erebus wasn't really evil herself. She did what she believed to be true and never questioned it. Essentially, the only reason she's painted as the bad guy is because she Arhiman was crazy. Had the 3rd Warmaster not taken up the golden staff, Erebus would be a perfectly good-aligned character.

Really? That thing? The Warmaster? You find yourself chuckling despite yourself, despite your situation, your subdued laughter an unfortunate mirror to the thunderous cackling that the giant monster in the center of this hellscape is busying itself with. What makes Cavefish think that?

"Well, er...everything?" Cavefish blinks. "The...the stuff on its arms and legs? The really long, gross-looking tongue?"

Huh. You'll grant her those, but even with them considered...it doesn't really look as ugly as the Warmaster you know and hate. Yeah, definitely not as ugly as her. Not by far.

"What? But...but she..." Your best friend starts to protest, trailing off into silence a moment later. And stays silent for a moment more. And another moment.

...

"HAH!" She finally guffaws, laughing long and hard as she finally catches up with you. "You got me there, Yuma-chan! I walked right into that one!"

Yes. Yes she did.

"Heehee..oh, man, I needed that." Cavefish lets out a long, contented sigh, much like how one would after a big, nourishing meal. "A-anyway, whoever it is...Yuma-chan, we just have to kill it and then everyone's saved, right?"

That's the idea. Kill it by whatever means possible. And after that, everything'll go back to normal, and then, maybe, you'll all get to go home.

Speaking of which, did Malal...?

"Still nothing on that front," The other Culexus sighs. "Tried to hail her the entire two hours we've been fighting and searching for survivors. Even tried getting through to Headquarters - nothing. Either comms are down there, or we can't send anything outside of..." She pauses here, as if trying to search for the word to use. "Wherever this is."

Right. Guess...you're all by yourselves on this one, then.

[1/2]
>>

>>

>>32082054
Well shit, this mental image of the War in Heaven just got too epic for my brain.
>>
>>32082059

"We don't need Miss Malal to take that thing out." Cavefish scoffs. "You watch, Yuma-chan. High Marshal's got a plan, and it's a good one. We'll just have to make sure it works, and if it does, we'll be eating at Hanegawa's before the day's through!"

Well, she sounds confident. If that's the case, then it's definitely going to work, right?

"Yep! Definitely!" Cavefish cheers. "Just trust me, Yuma-chan!"

...Yeah. Of course.

True to her word, Alondight reaches you in no less than five minutes - with what little remained of the Walpurgisnacht Crusade trailing behind her. You were about to greet the High Marshal with a salute of your own, raising your blood-dyed glove up to your helmet - until something six feet tall and dressed in the same Culexus leather as you barreled into your side, lifted you off your feet, and hugged you into a crushing embrace.

"Let's not get too carried away, now," Alondight chides gently, but even with you trying your level best to get Cavefish to put you down, you can tell that the High Marshal is pleased. Pleased about reuniting you with your best friend and what's left of your rank, maybe? You hope so, at least. But more likely, she's probably relieved that they found you still being you, without having turned, or eaten, or anything like that.

Doesn't really change things, as far as you're concerned. A rescue's a rescue. And they did try and find you for two hours, fighting all the while. No matter the ulterior motive of that, only the result matters.

After convincing Cavefish that you're not going to die or fall apart the moment she lets go, it's here that you see what those two hours had cost Alondight and everyone else. The Templars' armor, for one, previously polished and covered with purity seals and prayer wards - as well as a tabard emblazoned with their heraldic cross - are now scorched, scored and scratched to hell and back.

[2/3]
>>
>>32082073

None of their seals remained, only the evidence that they were there in the first place.

Some of the Knights were already missing limbs, or sporting grievous injuries that they did their best to ignore, allowing them to heal naturally instead. Enyo was one of the unlucky ones - her remaining flesh arm was cut off on the shoulder, armor and everything. She left the grisly wound uncovered, however, instead of covering it with her cape, or something else to block the sight of it.

What remained of your rank, well...Cavefish doesn't seem to look the worst for wear, besides a few new scuff marks on her helmet and chestplate. The other four seemed relatively untouched as well, and talking with them revealed that they'd been the Culexus that the teleportation worked favorably for, spitting them into this hellscape within spitting distance of the Black Templars.

You shook their hands, learned their names. Thanked them for their survival and mettle, and promised that you'll do what you can to see all of you coming back home. If not alive, then at least posthumously.

"Very noble." Alondight offers you a wan smile, just as you return to her. "Although, if I may say so myself, making promises like that..." She shakes her head. "Well, it's none of my concern, I'm sure, and nothing worth dwelling on." She claps both fleshmetal hands. "Come, we have things to discuss before that thing decides to stand up off its grand toilet and wipe its arse with the world."

You nod. Yes. The plan, specifically.

"Yes. The plan." Alondight nods. "It's a relatively simple plan, all told." She points towards the Witch at the center. "Considering who that actually is, I believe we can exploit the weaknesses it had in life to murder it here, quickly and efficiently." The grin curling her lips cannot be described by anything else but predatory. "Kharn has always cherished one last grand swordfight before her death. I say we give her one."

[3/4]
>>
>>32082083

What. You're going to challenge THAT to a one-on-one? Is she INSANE?

"Clinically, but you don't see me bragging about it," Alondight scoffs. "No, our plan is made up of equal parts cunning and brutality. Enyo? Please help me with some of the terms, I may not know their Japanese equivalent."

And so she explains her plan, and...well, she's right. It's a brutally cunning plan.

Basically, the remains of the Walpurgisnacht Crusade splits in two, with one group sporting only two Culexus and Mordred Pendragon. The other group is made up of the rest.

A two-pronged attack, the first coming directly at front, and at speed, as loud as they possibly can - and the other from behind, using all cover and stealth as possible in order to maneuver in for a backstab.

Alondight, Enyo, and the rest of the Knights, upon a signal, will charge Walpurgisnacht head-on, giving Kharn the last fatal challenge she so desired for in life. Mordred - hidden and protected by the Culexus - will then set up her most strongest skill, a skill passed down from Pendragon to Pendragon - and banish Walpurgisnacht for good.

"She's a bit skittish when it comes to actual combat, but Pendragon has a good sword arm, and a good skill." Alondight grins. "The Sword of Promised Victory. It's rumored that all Pendragon daughters can do it, with the youngest always bestowed with the most powerful version, as it is." It's here that she nods at you. "We just need her to be hidden and protected from the Neverborn until she can pull it off. That's where the two Culexus comes in."

Ah. Well, it does sound like a good plan. You can easily see Kharn falling for it, but...well. It's not exactly Kharn up in that throne, isn't it?

Is this the time to cast doubts on our fellows? Mordred is already shaky, and calling her out now will probably shatter whatever fragile drive she has. Granted, she is a worst, but we need her at her best right now, not six months in the future.

If we are not there, her team might collapse.

Meta-voting? I'm not voting at all. Just pointing out to people who think Chariot's in serious danger.
>>
>>32082331

I've been waiting for that scene for the longest time.

I want to see Chiaki meet Midori's dad. I keep going over such a meeting in my mind and giggling like a maniac every time
>>
>>32082331
>>32082351
I think it's safe to say it's kind of in-between; there are valid in-character concerns about Mordred's shakiness, but to bring Chariot's future survival into the equation is meta.
>>
>>32082377
Chariot can hold her team together and Mordred cannot. That's what people were arguing.

If it was a "one will die" decision, I'd still pick Mordred because she's got the power that will end this fight.

Everyone, you deserve an apology, I was really planning on finishing the arc tonight but I'm being called early to work tomorrow, so I'll have to cut this one short. I really want to get this arc done, but it looks like we'll have to wait. So I'll just run again as soon as I can this week - hopefully my schedule lightens up then - and then we can get on with the main story past this flashback.

Thank you for your participation, and I'm sorry for all these delays. I hope to see you again for the finale next thread.

Questions answered before I go to sleep, and yes, that was a typo!
>>

Thanks for the thread!

Question:
To what extent can TNO/Homucifer influence the world? Can she just do what she wants at will, or is she limited in some way? Does she require humans to do her will? Or special circumstances? Etc?

For example, did the fact that Yuma "connected" with Girl A's mind give Homucifer extra influence that let her interfere with Yumas teleport and steal the two hours? Or could she have screwed the teleport even if Yuma had not mindraped Girl A, if Homucifer had wanted to?

Why is it that (according to Dildoes) Homucifer cannot directly appear/influence Chiaki?
>>
>>32082439
I know I was expanding on the irony that Chiaki has already met Mr. Hanegawa.

It's mostly the mental image of scale, considering that Midori's dad is over 2m tall mountain of muscle and Chiaki is... 160cm and probably weighs about 100 pounds in drenched clothes and with her Shield on
>>
>>32082459
>Will the typo be acknowledged in universe?
I like to think it was just Alondight commenting on the fact that Yuma is acting like Malal-lite.

...ha, it's kind of funny now I think about it. Madoka kind of had exactly the same effect on Homura.
>>
>>32082429
To make up for it, promise us a fun slice of life day of Chiaki when this is over. Have some fun with Kyoko, watch Midori as a trainer, have a date with her in their restaurant, give the cat middle finger, lie in between them mamis... That kinda day. It wouldn't tke as long as this flashback and would be much more enjoyable.

That's a pretty big spoiler, but I would agree that she's somewhat limited. She is a really vengeful person, though, and can mess with time.

Homusatan can't directly appear or influence Chiaki because her Shield cuts her off from all the other Homuras, as well as a few other reasons which are very spoilery!

Asking me is basically begging for a biased answer. I'm looking forward to Wendy and Amber entering the main quest and at least one of them sticking around, if not both. I'd actually like to see other writeup MCs appear at least briefly.

Also Ruri.

I would also, in less vain terms, love to see Midori in situations where she won't just hero worship sempai moeblob all over the place. I would also like to see more Midori-centric writeups to showcase these things a bit more easily without Chiaki there.

>>32083056
Partly I just like sticking my head in the lion's mouth, but she's also...needy. It just hasn't been showcased much. Which is a shame, creepy girls are cuter.
>>
>>32082961
Maybe, maybe...
but MGNQ's Mami frankly feels a lot more like Carrot than she does any other version of Mami Tomoe. I've actually been thinking of doing a writeup with that idea. I like Midori when she was competent and more aggressive, but I also like Midori when she's being awkward and shy. Also when she's being needy and when she doesn't know how to handle Misaka's tantrums. When she took the lead at the date, and when we dragged her to the kitchen. Also when she threw a tantrum over having to cook for Kharn and apologized a few minutes later. Or when she freaked out and couldn't believe that Chiaki accepted her date proposal.

She's a very vibrant and lively character through and through, and I really enjoy reading her and Chiaki together
