Although it has its failings, Mata Nui is a beautiful island. From the top of the Po-Wahi cliffs, the sky-blue expanse of Naho Bay stretches as far as you can see. To your left, behind Gali, a wild canyon river crashes into the serene waters. The Motara desert stretches out before you.

You aren't really thinking about that. You are wondering what sort of an absolute dick a person would have to be to balance an enormous stone pyramid point-down on the mask you came here for.

---
Wat do?

Suggestions from last thread:

- Core the pyramid so the mask doesn't break (although how you'll do that I have no idea).

- Simultaneously raise four pillars exactly to each corner of the pyramid without shaking it (Where will you get the earth from?)

- ??? (Write-in)

Remember you have Gali to help you.
>>
>>32307512
Raise the pillars from beneath the sands, they don't have to be raised quickly, this is a delicate operation and we have the luxury of time.
>>
>>32308141
This. Raise those pillars and then figure out how to get into the pyramid
>>
>>32308268
If we raise the pyramid, we don't have to get inside

we just need to get it a hair's width above the mask so we can push the mask out and take it
>>
>>32308339
what if we get the mask first and then explore the pyramid? That shit will probably be filled with ancient tech that we can use
>>
>>32308389
not a bad plan

set it down gently and have the tip embedded in the earth nice and firmly
>>
>>32308398
I think everything is on solid stone
>>
>>32308731
>>32308389
>>32308339

The pyramid is a solid stone block, and the plateau you're standing on is also solid stone.
>>
>>32308958
oooh
>>
>>32307512
Lets just knock it over. We can dig through the rubble after
>>
>>32307512
Yay Bionicle Quest Returns!

Not Yay! We still have this puzzle to solve!

>>32309074
He said last time that it looked like the pyramid would cause damage to the mask if we just let it fall.
>>
Hmm. I honestly have no answer to this riddle? Any ideas guys?
>>
>>32309864
We have Gali with us
Maybe there's something water can help with? Probably?
>>
>>32309971
Maybe we can use her hooks for something
>>
Ah. I remember now. I came up with the idea to do the Indiana Jones thing with a rock last thread. Not sure how viable that is, since it would probably still require us getting the pyramid up some.
>>
>>32307512
>Core the pyramid so the mask doesn't break (although how you'll do that I have no idea).

Abuse the Kanohi Calix is how. but it does look like the other idea has got more votes.
>>
Can't we just use our drill to make the stone into earth? I mean, earth is crushed stone. We have a drill Drill crushes stone. We are on a plateau. It might take a little bit of time, but can be done.
>>
>>32311552
My only concern with this plan is structural damage. If its one giant rock, we could easily upset the pyramid.
>>
>>32311741
That's like saying the Earth is one giant rock. if you dig on the same continent, will you knock over someones house of cards on the other end?
>>
>>32310855
No real consensus has been reached.
>>
>>32312597
Well its different because the pyramid is balancing, and we're closer to it
>>
>>32313086
If it hasn't fallen to gusts of wind, then it's not gonna fall from a bit of mining. Areas with plateau tend to be fairly windy.
>>
>>32313123
Except we wouldn't be mining. This is solid stone, which we'd be shattering.
>>
>>32313173
I said mining. Mining involves the shattering of stone to get to ore. never heard of a strip mine? Gets rid of LOTS of stone.
>>
>>32313223
Ok, so you don't think we'd have a problem if we started shattering the big stone the mask is resting on?
>>
>>32313280
*Facepalm* We are not mining directly under the thing. We are mining next to it. Not next to the tip, but next to where the pillars will go. Winds haven't knocked this down, this won't.
>>
>>32313338
Can dirt even hold up the pyramid?
>>
>>32313446
I think we could make something similar to sandstone or another sedimentary rock.
>>
At this point I say "fuck it"

use our powers of earth to find a weakness and blow the whole thing to kindom come
>>
>>32314051
You'd need stone powers for that :)
>>
>>32314130
Well damn
>>
>>32314051
What we can do is completely maul the pyramid near the base so it breaks there, and not scratch the mask. We have a drill.
>>
>>32314167
Except, it's point down, so it'll just fall on us and the mask.
>>
>>32314520
Except we can push it away from us so it falls that way, not straight down
>>
Man I just wish something would happen already.
>>
>>32314742
chronicler, just make a call and roll with/for us

make us fail or something

we can't sit at this thing forever
>>
>>32314742
Unfortunately, none of us can come up with a viable solution that we can reach a consensus on.
>>
>>32314764
>>32314778

Alright.
>>
>>32315563
good to hear. It is for the best this way. If we hit a wall. Pave the way for us. Its more a failure on our part.
>>
- Chronicler's choice

"Wait! Where are you going?" Gali calls after you. Once you reach the edge of the cliff, you use your handholds to call up dirt and take it near the pyramid, again and again, until you think you have enough. You form the dirt into three squat columns, which you place on three sides of the mask. You close your eyes. This'll be difficult. Your three pillars narrow and inch up simultaneously. Eyes still closed, you walk over toward the pyramid. Your breathing is steady. You open your eyes as your mask hits the face of the pyramid nearest you.

You tell Gali you're fine, even if it hurts a little. You crouch down. Your mask power seems to allow you to move perfectly for brief periods of time. You focus, and the pillars near the mask push the pyramid upward just enough to allow you to snag it. You shove the earth upwards, hoping the pyramid will fall away from you, and it does. Gali sidesteps it neatly.

"Well, you've got it." says Gali. "I'm going to the shrine east of here to meditate. It's underwater, so you can go now if you want. Po-Koro is through the desert, and the boat's still here if you want to go back to Ga-Koro. You could explore, if you want." She's nonchalant.

- To Po-Koro. It might take a while to get there, but you haven't met Onewa and you have a package to deliver.

- To Ga-Koro. You have questions for Nokama, and a boat you should probably return.

Deliver the package

someone else might need that boat

Although I wouldn't mind meeting up with gali later.

We have a waterbreathing mask so we can check out whatever shrine she is going to.

To Po-Koro it is.

You bid Gali goodbye and journey on to Po-Koro, narrowly avoiding a Nui-Jaga on your way. Stone carvings dot the landscape of Po-Wahi, slowly increasing in size and closeness to each other as you approach the village. The sun is painfully bright, and you shield your eyes.

As you get closer still, the land begins to become more ragged. Low canyons and cliffs shape the movements of wind and water. The statues have abruptly disappeared. You round a corner and are greeted by six (that number again!) maskless stone heads and a head-shaped stone gate in a high rock wall. The gate is polished. You know little of stonework, but it seems that these heads are masterpieces.

You can hear the sound of metal on stone from atop one of them. It sounds like somebody is not quite satisfied with their work.

You proceed into the village. There are homes, a warehouse, carving stations, a few shops, and some pens containing Mahi, small domesticated goat-like Rahi the Matoran use to pull carts for transport.

The Turaga, Onewa, is nowhere to be seen.

---
- Look for the Turaga. See if he knows stuff.

- You have a package for one Huki: best find him and see that he gets it.

- Go shopping. A metal spear shaft might be nice, and who knows what else you might find?

- Look for Pohatu. He seemed pretty cool.

- Invade random Matoran homes. Why not?

>You have a package for one Huki: best find him and see that he gets it.

Then, we can ask around for Onewa and/or Pohatu.

Deliver the package, then get a spear shaft. Bamboo is not going to cut it.

Get the package to Huki, and then try to find the Turaga. Maybe ask Huki for directions and guidance?

Oh wait I should archive this-
